"Ah sister, no need to threaten me, it wouldn't look good", Norio said hands up, pointing out his elderly disguise.
"Well don't pester them just yet. I have questions just as much as you do. Kagome is my daughter after all", Kiyomi said sternly waving her slipper in Norio's face. Sighing she eventually put her slipper back on her foot when he gave a further sign of defeat.
"Though I too am curious, how come you all seem to be pining for my daughter? Especially you, Sugimi?"
Sugimi was stock still, he may just find himself in the grave once again. From the looks of it his whole lineage may near its end quicker than he wanted to. He has only been back for a day for Kami sake!
"Well Kiyomi it would seem that fate has paired me with your beautiful daughter. My beast was adamant about being mates with Kagome as soon as I was back in this world", Sugimi said, almost feeling like a young pup for real.
Inuyasha and Sesshomaru seemed to growl in unison. They stopped at once and looked at each other. Even after the panty truce, they still could not understand that all of them had a connection with Kagome.
"My beast also called to her as well", Sesshomaru said, unhappy with the outcome. Kagome was supposed to be his alone, why would she need these dimwitted males. Even if they were kin.
"That's a load of bullshit, how can we all be mates to Kagome", Inuyasha growled out, no matter if he had to share her time right now Kagome was his.
"That gentleman is a good question that even I know little about. There have been few matings where a single female found companionship in multiple males. Though it has occurred in males with females. That being the males were connected with multiple females to extend his lineage. In what history I remember it usually occurs when a female has great power. The males become anchors to her power making her feel equal with herself".
Norio explained a hand rubbing his aged beard. It could be possible, Kagome was rather powerful now. She wasn't showing any of her demonic traits though, so it was a wonder what power she had then.
"Kiyomi, does Kagome have a barrier or charm of some sort to mask her demonic powers?", Sugimi asked.
Kiyomi shook her head. "Honestly Sugimi, when Kagome was born she appeared human. There was nothing that showed that she was a demon at all. It was rather surprising to see that she was born with spiritual powers as well. I almost thought I didn't give birth when she appeared before me."
Sugimi was baffled. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were shocked as well.
"Not even my mate knows that Kagome was born that way. I'm sure if he found her in the feudal era, he would think that she mastered masking her scent and fox magic", Kiyomi has continued looking somewhat forlorn.
This was a lot to take in. So much information in a short span of time. Today was crazy to say the least. It honestly made Sugimi tired having such a small body to take in all these facts and emotions. From the looks of it, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha seemed to be taking in a lot as well.
"Kiyomi I think it would be best if the three of us went upstairs to rest with Kagome. I think it would also be best if I had some time to talk to my sons privately afterwards", Sugimi said.
Nodding Kiyomi picked up the pups and took them upstairs. She knew this was a lot for everyone, she may even take a nap herself with everything she dished out. Coming to her daughter's room Kiyomi found Kagome resting under the covers. She must have fallen back to sleep after all the fretting she did.
"No funny business, Kagome doesn't understand you and I don't think she realizes that you are more aware of things. I will protect my daughter at all costs. No matter if you are pups or her mates", Kiyomi whispered to them wagging her finger at them. With a nod she walked out of the bedroom and softly closed the door behind her. Not before she looked at them the whole time with a soft glare and waving two fingers towards her eyes and then to them. A small shiver ran down their little spines. Kiyomi was indeed a bit threatening.
With the door closed the males gave a sigh of relief. Some of the tension seemed to release in the room. Now they were left to their own devices.
"Boys, I know that I have much to say but at this point let's rest. It has been a rather long day", Sugimi said walking up towards Kagome's body laying down on her pillow above her head. The best place to survey and protect.
Sesshomaru followed silently, he did not have much to say at this point. He felt the need to internalize and think everything over before anything. A nap would do him good. He proceeded to lay by Kagome's resting hand, putting his head on top of it. Smelling her he noticed that she must put on hand cream. It was rather floral and mixed well with her natural scent. His eyes became hazy and soon he found rest.
Inuyasha was not far after. Though he really had too much to say, so many questions. How could he end up like this? There was so much going on today that he didn't even take the time to internalize that he was weak right now, a mear puppy. His love for Kagome may be fought over by his fucking half-brother and for Kami sake his pops. Who had popped up just today. He wanted to be the only one for Kagome, it wasn't fair.
His heart felt so tight thinking of Kagome giving her love to anyone but him. He knew though if Kagome really was this powerful and if she needed all of them to be hers he would take it. He just wanted to be accepted, loved, and cherished like he saw other females do for their males.
Inuyasha needed to mull it over more but for now he would seek rest. He made his way towards the fold of the blanket near her chest. Nuzzling in he got under the blanket and rested where he could hear her heart best. He really did love her, hopefully he could actually show her once they figured out how to get back to normal.
They all soon fell asleep feeling peaceful even with everything weighing them down.
