Friday afternoon, Klaus was at the door with the items Lyra had asked him to bring. He was unsure about her but wanted to try her way first. It helped that the only thing Lyra had asked for was that the innocent be left out of this. Elijah believed that she would succeed but Klaus still had his trust issues with his big brother. Knocking on the door he waited.
Lyra knew it was Klaus at the door, her wards had indicated when he entered. Teddy was being super clingy today because he didn't feel well. He made sure he was attached to her constantly. Carrying Teddy with her, she answered the door.
"Hey Klaus, come on in" she answered, leading a nervous hybrid into her home, "Teddy's not feeling well today so he won't let me go" she explained, laughing as her son burrowed deeper into her neck.
Klaus watched her and the child, "So this is your son" he asked.
"Technically he's my godson but I'm the only family he has left. I adopted him with magic so that makes him my son" Lyra gives the quick quotes version. "Trust me, it's a long story, I'll tell you later" she adds when she sees the curious look on his face. "Did you bring the items, Elijah will be here soon with the others" she asked.
Klaus nods and places the items on the table before them, "Are you sure you can break it" he asks.
Smiling, Lyra tells him, "I wouldn't lie to you. I know that I can break the curse. I was curious about the witch who place it though, what made her curse you like this" She can tell her question bothers him.
"The original witch was our mother. I'm the product of her infidelity. When I first killed after being turned, I broke the curse holding back my wolf. The man I called my father said I was an abomination. He demanded that my mother fix her mistake and that is what led to her cursing me to only be half of myself" Klaus told her quietly.
"I'm sorry. I know the feeling of being hated for something you can't control. My 'family' hated me for being a freak. You at least had your siblings, that had to have made things easier. Elijah told me some of the stories" Lyra says.
"Elijah, yes the noble original. Do you have something going on with my brother Miss Black" Klaus questions, she knows he's trying to deflect. She lets him.
Raising an eyebrow, "If I did, what would it matter to you" she asks.
Klaus stares at her, then says, "I would hope you wouldn't make any schemes with Elijah to ruin my chance at breaking this curse" Klaus is now towering over her, she just stares at him with boredom. She had felt Elijah enter her wards. Klaus goes to step closer when Elijah enters the house.
"Niklaus! Back away from Lyra and Teddy, now" Elijah demands. Klaus keeps eye contact with Lyra, trying to intimidate her. He really should have looked away. Lyra enters his mind and knew what he had planned to do.
She's mad, "Now see here mister! You trying to intimidate me with my son in my arms was a mistake. Pissing me off could have horrible results for you" Lyra waves a hand in Klaus direction. Klaus' eyes widen and he can't move or speak. Lyra looks to Elijah, "Where is the dagger Damon used"
Elijah's eyes widen, "You were going to dagger me! I'm trying to help you!" he yells. Teddy jumps at his tone and Lyra glares. Lowering his voice he says, "I want our siblings. You can break your curse and then leave our siblings with me" Klaus can only stare at him.
Walking over to him, Lyra places her hand on Elijah's arm, "I know where your siblings are" she tells him, looking to Klaus, "I will still break your curse but you will never threaten me or my son again. You're lucky my son may need you one day or I wouldn't" Lyra ends with a harsh glare and removes the spell on Klaus mouth.
"How did you do that" Klaus asks, she ignores him. Looking to Elijah he tells him, "I will promise not to dagger you but our siblings cannot be free yet" Elijah looks curious, "Mikael isn't dead"
Lyra perks up at the name, "Your dick of a father is still alive" she smiles sweetly when both men look to her surprised. "It's the truth" she mutters.
"What exactly do you know of our father, other than what I said earlier" Klaus asks, curiously.
"Elijah told me some things. I decided any man that can treat any child like he did you, well they deserve pain. I would never even think of treating my Teddy Bear that way" Lyra says, snuggling her son to her.
That's when Klaus remembers her remark, "What did you mean that your son may need me one day"
Taking a calming breath, Lyra tells him, "Teddy's biological father was bitten by a werewolf when he was four. The magical world I come from has slightly different kinds of vampires and werewolves. If he ever wanted to turn then you would be my only hope for that"
Both men look to the small boy and back to his mother, "Why would you even want him to think about turning" Elijah asks softly.
Lyra looks from Klaus to Elijah, "I never want to live a day where I don't have my son. I am never ending and that's a real possibility. I will stop physically aging at twenty three and I'm selfish. I don't want my son to leave me" she tells them, wiping a tear.
Elijah walks over to her, "How can you be never ending Lyra, you've told me of those like you who have died" he asks.
"While I was fighting the war, I somehow ended up with all three Deathly Hallows. When Teddy and I escaped and ran to the goblins, I was given my Ladyship rings" Lyra shows her rings, landing on the Peverell "This ring belongs to the Peverell family. There is a story of three brothers who receive gifts from Death. The first brother a wand that is unbeatable, the second brother a stone that brings back the dead, and the third brother a cloak to hide from Death until he was ready to greet Death like an old friend. I inherited the cloak from my father and the Potters. The other two I came across during the war. Death came to me and explained that I was now his Mistress" Elijah looks curious but Klaus looks doubtful, Lyra hands her son to Elijah "I can prove it" she backs up a few steps, "Death".
The two men are shocked when the being appears behind Lyra. "Mistress" Klaus pales, he may have gotten off easy if she could just call Death to her.
"Death, I was explaining things to these two gentlemen. They were curious as to why I would want Teddy to turn" Lyra tells him.
Death nods, "My Mistress is correct. If the young pup wishes to turn, you are his only option" Klaus nods. "Anything else my Mistress" Death asks.
"No, thank you Death" Lyra says. Looking back to the two men she asks, "Now can I please get going on this spell? I mean you do want it broken, correct"
Klaus nods, finally finding his voice "Please, go ahead" Elijah smirks at his tone.
Lyra looked to Elijah and a sleeping Teddy, "Do you want me to call Bipsy" she asked.
Elijah shakes his head, "He's okay, as long as you don't mind" he says. Lyra nods to him and then heads over to the table.

Klaus watches Elijah and he stares at the sleeping child in his arms. It seems his brother was becoming attached to this woman and her child. Also this woman was terrifying. She was literally the Mistress of Death. He had never been more afraid than when Death appeared. Maybe if his brother plays his cards right, Lyra will date him. She would be perfect for him, she can't die, and her son needs a dad. Klaus thinks to himself that he will make sure Elijah doesn't screw it up.
To think he will be free of his curse soon and will be able to make more hybrids. Klaus wouldn't lie, he had been doubtful of this witch, but all that doubt was now gone. Laughing to himself, he looks to Elijah.
"Brother, how do you think Lyra will handle our siblings" he asked, the look he received made him laugh more.
"She may very well kill Kol, but I think she may get along with Rebecca. I'm not sure which would be more worrisome" Elijah replies, trying not to wake Teddy.
"I might even pay to see her deal with father" Klaus jokes.
Elijah snorts, "She would obliterate him. God forbid he made a comment about her son. Actually, that would be amusing to see" he says.
Klaus sobers, "Brother, when my curse is broken, I will wake Rebecca" seeing Elijah about to interrupt he continues, "I think we should introduce her to Lyra. I'm sure she would help our sister acclimate to the current times" Klaus then adds in a whisper, "She could even put in a good word for you"
Elijah's expression goes blank, "I'm not sure what you mean" he says.
Rolling his eyes, Klaus moves to sit next to his brother. "You were ready to take me out when you walked in and your eyes keep drifting to the pretty witch" Klaus then points out the obvious, "Also you're holding her son for a nap. When's the last time you even held a baby"
Elijah knows he's right but whenever one of their siblings found love, Klaus removed it. He didn't want Lyra and Teddy hurt. His expression must have given his thoughts away because Klaus spoke.
"I'm sorry for the pain I've cause you Elijah. I didn't want any of you to leave me but I see that my previous actions are causing you pain now. Lyra is a good one, don't be afraid of me taking her away" Klaus tells him quietly, the adds with a shiver "I'm bloody terrified of the witch anyway"
Elijah smiles at that, "Maybe I will then. I mean if you upset her, she would just have to ask Death to take you out" he jokes.
Klaus glared at his comment.

Lyra walked away from the table to see the two men playing with her son. That's not a sight you see often. "I've got it all figured out, we just need to head to the location around eight" she tells them.
Klaus perks up, "Really? I'll finally be free" he asks.
Elijah claps him on the back and looks to Lyra, "Is Bipsy on Teddy watch tonight" he asks.
"Yup, Bipsy will put him to bed for me. She just finished dinner and since you're both here, she made extras. Let's eat" Lyra tells them, grabbing Teddy she heads to the kitchen.

Lyra felt when Damon entered her wards. She cussed under her breath, "Fuck, this wont end well" she went to get up and head him off.
Elijah had heard what she said, "What's wrong Lyra" he asked
Taking a deep breath, she answered "Damon just entered my wards. I'm sure he's going to do something stupid when he sees you two"
Opening the door, Damon started talking before she could stop him. "Lyra, we need your help. Klaus is going to sacrifice Elena and I don't know who else can" he stops when he sees who else is in the house.
"Damon please calm down" she starts to say but sees his attention is on something behind her.
"Why are they here, I thought you were on our side" Damon yells, "I can't believe I ever trusted you! I should have known you were a liar" he goes to turn and Lyra freezes him.
"Can I speak" Lyra asks coldly, looking him in the eyes she says, "If you would have answered any of the hundred phone calls in the last three days you would know why they are here. I found a way to break the curse without Elena dying. The fact that you would accuse me of all people of betrayal, well I guess that shows we're not that good of friends" Lyra unfreezes him, "I've dealt with shitty friends before, I won't again" she turns and walks away. She didn't need this.

Damon was left alone, facing two very pissed off Originals. He was about to turn and leave when Elijah spoke.
"Do you realize that Lyra saved multiple lives by figuring out how to break the curse. I thought you were her friend? I guess that doesn't mean anything when it comes to your precious Elena, who gave me her blood willingly for the spell. I think it's best for you to stay away from Lyra and Teddy" he said this all calm, almost too calm. Turning, he walked off to find Lyra.
Klaus of course took the opportunity in front of him, "I was going to use Jenna to get Elena to agree, the vampire and wolf were going to be Caroline and Tyler. I was going to kill that silly little nature witch as well. You should be praising that woman, she saved them all."
Damon didn't even reply, he took off to find everyone so he could tell them. He had really messed up.

Lyra had just shut the door to Teddy's room, turning around she ran into Elijah. "Did Damon leave" she asked quietly.
Nodding, Elijah replies "Niklaus and I gave him some hard truths before he left" sliding his arms around her, "I'm sorry. If we hadn't been here"
Lyra cuts him off, sliding her arms around him she says "No, if Damon's first thought was that I betrayed him then that's his own problem" laying her head on his chest she adds, "We can't control others actions. Trust me, I've learned that the hard way".
Elijah nodded and kissed the top of her head. Lyra blushed bright red. Trying to calm herself she asked, "Are we all riding together" Elijah chuckles at her deflection.

It was beginning to get dark when they arrived at the location. Lyra had everything in her bag and headed over to ta rock formation that looked like an altar. Elijah and Klaus followed. They had no idea what she was doing but they began to feel her magic in the air. The group had only been there twenty minutes when Elijah noticed they weren't alone.
Pointing out to Klaus that they had company, both agreed Elijah should go speak to them while Klaus covered Lyra. Elijah flashed over to where the others were.
"Why are you here, you didn't hurt Lyra enough, so you've come with back up" Elijha asked Damon harshly.
Damon flinched but replied, "I didn't mean to infer anything, I just lost it when I saw you and the guy who had planned to sacrifice Elena two days ago, in her house"
Of course, Elena had to but in, "I have a right to know what's happening. I trusted you when you said the blood would save me" Damon shot her a look and Stefan wrapped her in his arms. Seems she kept that from Damon.
"I've kept my word to you. Do you think I lied" Elijah asked, then added "You may think everyone and everything in this town revolves around you but you are very wrong. You're just another selfish doppelganger. I suggest you leave so we can begin"
Elena goes to retort but is cut off by Bonnie, "She's doing dark magic, I can feel it! She's evil and needs to be stopped" Elijah glares at her.
"You will not interfere if you do not wish for Elena to die" he growls, Klaus flashes next to him when he hears.
"She's ready to begin" Klaus glares at the unwanted guests, "Leave or I'll go back to my original plan" looking to Elena, he adds "I'm sure your death wouldn't be much of a loss" Elena pales.
Stefan of course opens his mouth, "You have no right to threaten her. She's innocent in this. It seems like Lyra fits right in with you both, evil" Klaus has to grab his brother before he could kill the moron.
"Leave or I'll kill all of you when I turn" Klaus smiles, pushing Elijah back towards Lyra. He then looks Stefan in the eye, "Remember" His smile widens when he sees the memories start to come back.
Damon convinces them all to leave and then asks Klaus if he will tell Lyra what he said.

Klaus stands before Lyra, waiting. He can feel her magic when she recites the spell. When she destroys the moonstone, he felt something inside him click. She handed him the blood all mixed together and he drinks. The last part of the spell, Death arrives.
"Mistress" Death greets.
"Please, as we discussed" Lyra asks. Death waves a hand over Klaus and the spell finishes.
Klaus eyes widen when he feels the shift begin. Elijah flashes next to Lyra, helping her pack everything. They both watch as Klaus completes his transformation.
"Time to go lovely" Elijah scoops Lyra into his arms and flashes them away. He would have to check on his brother later but right now he wanted to spend time with Lyra.
