Deciding it would be easier to tell everyone together, Lyra and Elijah invited everyone over for a cookout. Kol and Luna were still the only two they had told. Luckily, everyone else seemed to be free on Saturday for them to get together. They were doing the adoption potions tonight and everyone was ready.
Rebekah was bringing Marcus over before the cookout so he could play with his cousins. They had found out that he had protected the other three when the attack happened. He opened up to Rebekah about that day and they were all thankful for him. Marcus had taken well to being with Rebekah, he loved having all her attention on him. At first, he hadn't wanted to be separated from the littles but with how much time they spent together, he knew they would always see each other.
Entering the house, Marcus quickly said hello to the adults and ran over to the other children. Rebekah smiled as she headed to sit with her brothers and Lyra and Luna.
"Afternoon sister, where is your better half" Kol asked jokingly, Luna pushed his arm and rolled her eyes.
Glaring at Kol, Rebekah answered, "Stefan was helping Damon find something in the attic, he will be here later" looking to Elijah and Lyra, she asked, "Why the cookout? I thought we were meeting tonight"
Lyra smiles and holds her hand up as Elijah tells her, "I asked Lyra to marry me"
Rebekah looks shocked, "You said yes? You do realize this family is crazy" she asks.
Lyra laughs, "I know but I guess that means I'm crazy too" Elijah kisses her cheek.
Looking between Kol and Luna, Rebekah narrows her eyes and asks, "So, when are you two getting married" Kol sputters a reply while the others laugh.

Everyone is gathered outside, watching the children play. Elijah and Klaus are cooking on the grill. Jenna had been avoiding Klaus, last anyone knew they were getting along.
Lyra, finally having enough of the kicked puppy look Klaus was giving Jenna, asked her to help in the kitchen. Jenna nodded and followed.
Once they were alone, Lyra turned to face Jenna, "What is going on with you and Klaus"
Jenna looked surprised, "I'm not sure what you mean" she tells Lyra.
Sighing, Lyra says "You two had been doing good but now it feels like it did before. When you couldn't stand him".
"No, I'm no" Jenna started but stopped when she seen the look Lyra was giving her. "Okay, maybe I have. I found something out that should not be possible and I don't know what to do".
Lyra quickly put up a privacy spell. Sitting next to Jenna, she grabbed her hand and asked, "Jenna, what did you find out".
Taking a deep breath, trying to calm herself, Jenna looked to Lyra and whispered, "I'm pregnant".
Lyra was shocked, "Have you told him" She asked. Jenna shook her head no, "Why not".
Jenna looked exhausted, "Vampires can't have children" standing and starting to pace, "He's the only one I've been with Lyra. How can this be possible" Lyra tries to calm her, get her to sit but Jenna really panicking, "He won't believe me! I don't know what to do".
Lyra thinks for a minute, "Okay. After the cookout, Luna and I will brew a paternity potion. As soon as we have the answers we need, I will go with you to take it to Klaus. You don't have to do this alone". she tells Jenna, after a moment she adds "Maybe we should have Elijah there too"
Agreeing to the plan, they two women head back outside.

Everyone had finished eating and were just hanging around. Jeremy had been talking with Elijah about what colleges he should apply to. Damon had told them he was thinking of heading out of the country for a bit, Andy got put on an assignment overseas and asked him to go with. Finn and Sage had just gotten back and were trying to make plans for where to live.
Elijah stood pulling Lyra up with him and getting everyone's attention. Looking over their family and friends, he began "We wanted you all together so we could tell you some news" noticing he had all eyes on him, "I asked Lyra to marry me"
Cheekily, Lyra added "I of course said yes!"
They were congratulated, everyone was happy for them. Elijahs siblings joked about her being able to keep the brothers all in line. Damon was so happy for his friend, all his earlier problems with the originals having been forgotten. Jenna was so happy for her.
They celebrated for a couple of hours and then headed in to do the adoptions.

Lyra had set all of the potions out before the adults. Rebekah was sitting with Marcus and Luna with the twins. Elijah had Teddy and Ellie with him. After explaining all of the instructions and telling Marcus what was going to happen, Lyra walked to Rebekah first.
"Rebekah, you will need to add your blood to the vial and then Marcus will drink it. Once he does, he needs to go right to bed. I'll give you a sleeping draught for him. Since you can't do the spell, I will perform it for you" Lyra explained. Rebekah nodded to her and looked to her soon to be son for his confirmation. Marcus nodded, hugging Rebekah tight.
Lyra handed over the vials for Luna, she knew her friend could do it herself. Walking over to Elijah, Lyra looked between the children on his lap. "Teddy, your mama and papa want Elijah to adopt you. Like I did" she then looked to Ellie, "Ellie, we both want to be your parents, just like with Teddy. This potion will make you ours and no one will ever be able to change that"
Ellie looked from Lyra to Teddy. Seeing how happy he was with Elijah becoming his daddy and having Lyra as his mommy, she looked at both Lyra and Elijah. Gathering up all of the courage she could, she finally spoke "Mommy and Daddy for Ellie".
Elijah was shocked, Lyra couldn't speak, tears were running down her face. Elijah knew he needed to speak now. "Yes Ellie, we will be your mommy and daddy just like we will be Teddy's. Is that okay" he asked, holding his breath for her answer.
"Okay" Ellie replied, smiling at them both. Lyra hurried to get the potions ready for her and Teddy. Elijah followed her lead, adding his blood to Ellies potion and then Teddy's when she held it out for him.
"You two will drink these, we will tuck you in bed and give you the sleeping draught. When you wake, everything will be done" Lyra told them. Both kids nodded and let Elijah carry them off to bed. Once there, Lyra gave them the potions, said the spell, kissed them on the foreheads and tucked them in. Elijah also kissed them on the forehead, then he followed Lyra out.
Walking back downstairs, Lyra looked to Rebekah "Ready" she asked.
Rebekah nodded, letting Marcus drink the potion as Lyra did the spell. Quickly, she gave him the sleeping draught and then headed home after giving Lyra a heartfelt thank you. Luna and Kol had done the twins potions. Neither Lyra or Elijah were surprised that they both added blood. After they tucked them into bed, Luna walked over to Lyra.
"Time for the potion" Luna asked quietly. Lyra nodded and they told Kol and Elijah they would be downstairs for a moment.

Jenna had taken Jeremy home while the others did the adoption potion. Lyra had told her that by the time she returned, her potion would be ready. Walking back inside the house, she was surprised to find Kol and Elijah sitting there.
"Jenna, was Lyra expecting you back" Elijah asked, leading her to the couch.
Jenna nodded, "She and Luna were helping me with something" she told him, just as she finished Lyra came upstairs.
Lyra looked right to Jenna, "It's ready. I think we need to tell these two. They could help" she told Jenna.
Jenna was nervous but nodded, seeing Luna come up with a vial in her hand. "Okay" she whispered. Luna walked over to her while Lyra told the two men what was going on.
Elijah looked surprised but Kol didn't. Lyra stared him down, "What do you know" Elijah turned to look at his brother.
"I'm not a hundred percent but I think it's because of his werewolf side. There are also times, lunar cycles, that can cause supernatural pregnancies. They aren't widely known but I've spent many years studying different wiccan cultures and have heard many stories" Kol told them as Luna walked up to him.
"The nargles say it's possible for all to create life, even the undead" Luna told them with her dreamy look.
Lyra's eyes widened, looking to Elijah. His didn't look much better. They must have just been lucky so far. Looking back to Jenna she says, "I'm going to do a test with magic, it will show us if you're pregnant" Holding her hand up before Jenna can speak, "I know you know but this is a little more explanative than a stick" Kol snorts at her, "We will use the paternity potion while we use the spell and it will give us the answers".
Jenna nods and lies back when instructed. Lyra begins the spell, they see the pulse of heartbeat from the baby. Luna quickly gives her the potion and Lyra recasts the spell. None are looking away from Jenna, they're all waiting for the results. When the names start to list, Elijah gasps when he sees his brothers.
"Jenna, we will help you tell Klaus" Lyra says, seeing the look on her face. Jenna nods to her, she can't speak.

Jenna decided to head home after they got the answers she needed. Kol and Luna went off to bed as well. Elijah and Lyra checked on the kids before following suit. Lying in bed, Lyra's head on Elijahs chest, listening to his heartbeat.
"Would you ever want to try to have a child" Lyra asks him, trying to get her head around it.
Elijah takes a deep breath before answering, "I have been blessed with Teddy and Ellie. They are a part of both of us and I never thought it was possible" he paused, running a hand over her head, "I think if in a couple years you wanted another child, I would be happy to help".
Lyra laughed at how he phrased it, turning to look at his face she replied "I love you. I think if I get baby fever in a couple of years, we should definitely try" Elijah quickly moved and pinned her to the bed.
"Doesn't mean we can't practice until then" he says, leaning down. Elijah kisses her. Lyra moans into his mouth.
