What if Pete went somewhere else and learned how to control his condition?
Chapter One: Reassigned
"You have to leave." Debbie said as she held onto Pete. "Get out of Sunnydale."
"Where would I go?" Pete asked.
The doors burst open and two men in black tie suits appeared. One of them stepped forward and grabbed a hold of Pete. Pete struggled to get free, but the man took out a needle and injected it into Pete. Pete transformed back into a human being and his eyes closed. Buffy watched from afar. Debbie looked scared and tried to run to him, but one of the men stopped her.
"Ma'am, we're the F.B.I." An agent said. "We're here to retrieve Mr. Clarner."
"Where are you taking him?!" Debbie demanded.
"Miss Foley, he'll be okay," The F.B.I explained. "He's going to be reassigned."
"You can't just take him!" Debbie yelled.
Buffy ran to Debbie and held onto her. "Debbie, it's okay. Let them take Pete."
"But I love him." Debbie protested. "He loves me and we were about to leave Sunnydale!"
"Debbie, this is better for him. I promise." Buffy insisted. She looked at the F.B.I. "Where are you taking him?"
"He's going to go to a facility that can help him with his condition." The F.B.I replied. "That's all we can say."
"I can help him!" Debbie cried out, but Buffy held her back.
The F.B.I agents took Pete into custody and drove away. Debbie cried and collapsed on the floor. Buffy held her in her arms as Debbie sobbed.
"I'm never going to see him again, am I?" Debbie asked Buffy.
Buffy looked at her and said, "I don't know, but he's going somewhere where he can get help."
The next thing that he knew, Pete woke up in a white padded room. He had on white clothes and a bracelet on his right wrist that he hadn't recognized. Pete walked up to the door and banged on it.
"Hey! Let me out!" Pete yelled.
Panic filled his heart. All he remembered was that some men took him from Debbie. He had a feeling that he was never going to see her again. Where the hell was he? Pete wondered. He transformed into his monster form and banged on the door, trying to get free.
Author's Notes: This is an idea and if it goes well, I will continue it! I wanted to see what you guys think of the first chapter. I realize it's short, but this is just to see how it goes with the reviews. Please let me know what you think! All reviews are welcome! I had to get this idea out of my head.
