Author's Note

I've been meaning to write a FANF story for so long now, I could couldn't come up with something I thought was interesting until now. It's going to be a romance/hurt-comfort/horror/family story. Yeah it's going to be super lewd, but equally dangerous. I'll simply see where it goes...

Chapter 1

Prologue, the new night guard

"So let me get this straight, Mr…. er…?"

"Mike Schmidt, sir!" The young man had responded quickly, a nervous lilt in his voice only hidden by his eager excitement. The man sitting across from him had a pained look on his face, although Mike couldn't quite place why. Whether it be he was too excited at the prospect of working at the Mega-Plex, or if the man didn't appreciate his upbeat tone, he wasn't sure.

But he wasn't going to let that get him down, getting an interview here was practically unheard of.

In fact, it was unheard of. So, suffice it to say that he was more then a little enthusiastic when he'd received the call one morning, the gruff old man on the other end of the line wanting him to come in as soon as possible.

He swore he'd never moved so fast in his life.

Something that he would soon be saying again, not that he knew just yet.

"Right… Mike Schmidt. Look here Schmidt, I'm going to level with you. Man to man, alright?" The older man sighed, leveling an intense look that shook Mike's once firm disposition. "I know you're probably going around looking to work anywhere, but this place ain't for the faint of heart. Fredda's Pizza-Plex ain't some short time gig, it's-"

"A contract! I know, I read up on it on the email you sent! If I get hired I have to sign this NDA, and I have to stay. It's like getting accepted into the family of the mafia or something. Once you're in, you're not getting out." He completely trailed off with a long winded explanation, coming off as both knowledgeable and just a little bit fanboyish.

The other man's eye twitched, lips a firm line.

"So I see you did your research. If you hadn't even bothered reading that email, I would've turned you away before you had arrived." He murmured gruffly, voice short. "This place doesn't have time for kids that don't read the fine print. If you can't even bother to pay attention, you don't belong here." He muttered to himself, before shaking his head.

Mike looked pleased with the other man's surprise, but tried to hide it. For some reason he felt as if the guy didn't quite like him, that or he was the type of old dude who looked down on the young-ins like him.

"Well, I'll get right down to the point then. You read the disclaimer, you scoured the email, so you must realize that no matter what happens once you sign this contract, you cannot quit." He explained seriously.

"Uh huh." Mike nodded, smiling.

"Signing this document also means that you cannot tell anyone in the outside world about what goes on inside this facility after dark." He continued unabated.

"Yep!"

"You cannot under any circumstances speak about the finer details of your job here, should you accept it. For all intents and purposes, you work here, nothing more, nothing less." He clarified again, further pressing the serious nature of the subject.

"You must also understand that I cannot explain the finer details of your role here until you sign this document. As such, are you vaguely aware of what your duties in this facility pertain to? I'm not making you sign anything until I know you are truly committed to the position. Mr. Afton cannot afford mistakes, errors, or quitters. Understood?"

Mike's eyes widened at the severity of the man's words, starting to get nervous. Nervous, yes, but not shaken.

He still wanted this job.

He was going to get this job.

"I understand sir." He replied firmly, realizing that his upbeat attitude was misplaced in this interview. The other man merely raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure?" He replied lowly. He cleared his throat, looking back down to the sprawl of papers on his desk. "Let me give you a little rundown of your trial run so you know what to expect."

"T-Trial run?" The young man murmured uncertainly.

The other man merely huffed. "Yes. Trial run. Should you prove yourself worthy to keep your position here at Fredda's Mega-Plex, you will be allowed to keep your position as Night-guard." He explained, before holding up his hand. "Five nights. You will have only five nights." He added lowly, the sternness in his gaze rooting him to his chair.

"Five nights…? To… do what?" Mike uttered, almost immediately regretting opening his mouth.

The other man's lips curled down. "To survive." He uttered, words echoing around the room.

Mike blinked, unsure what to say.

"Yes, if you should survive five nights in a row here, you will have proven yourself a capable candidate. If you decide to drop out of your position, you will be transferred to the day position. This is non negotiable." The man cleared his throat, sitting up a little straighter.

Mike was quiet for a long moment, dwelling on the words he'd heard.

This was more serious than he initially imagined. He knew with both the presence of the NDA and the strange amount of secrecy around the position, forgetting the facility entirely, he knew this was going to be serious.

This wasn't quite what he had in mind.

"Do you want to back out, Mr Schmidt?" The man asked darkly, tone thick and heavy.

Mike swallowed his nerves, gaze steeled. "No. I… I still want to stay." He said firmly, pausing for a moment. "You said in the email that it was my responsibility to both take care of the facility during the night, and take care of the animatronics here. You specified that it is the most important job here, that can't be understated. You… You even brought me in for an interview. I can't back out now."

"I've been a fan of these characters since I was a kid. So you're telling me I've got a chance to repay the happiness they've brought me in life by working here, even though it might be dangerous?" Mike trailed off, cheeks warming at the memories. "Heh, how could I turn this down?"

"Heh… I like you kid." The man barked out a short laugh, seemingly pleased with the turn of events. "It seems like you understand the gist of it. But, I do need you to know what significance this position here means. By signing this contract, you forfeit your life should something happen to you on the job. We cannot be held accountable for what could happen to you… I want you to understand that clearly."

Mike swallowed thickly, looking down at the paper before him. It felt as if he was signing his death certificate, yet also agreeing to something that had been his dream since he was a child.

There wasn't anyone waiting for him at home anymore, so he had nothing to loose should this all go south.

And besides!

They offered free in facility accommodations, an in-house apartment for him to live in while he worked here. So honestly, it was a win win.

And besides, it was just like his old friend once said.

"So you die a little? Isn't it better that you lived at all in the end? Why hide away from the world because it could hurt you if you're hurting yourself by missing out on so much more? When the end comes, and you can't say that you really lived… was it worth it?"

Sure, to most people those words sound like the ramblings of a crazy man, but he understood what they meant. What was the point of living if you stayed sheltered your whole life? Sure this job could be potentially dangerous, but anything in life was potentially dangerous. Looking at it now, unlike most things in life, he was going into this with the knowledge that it could be dangerous.

And he was okay with that.

So…

He nodded. Picking up the pen, he signed his name down on the paper. "I understand." He replied clearly, voice quiet yet firm.

The other man studied him for a long moment, before sighing. "No turning back now…" He muttered, standing up from his seat. "Come on, might as well show you around. We've only got a few hours left anyway." He trailed off, motioning to leave the room. Mike was quick to follow.

They stepped out of his office and into the main lobby. His office was just past the entrance, right across from the lost and found. The day had just ended for the Mega-Plex, families being ushered out in mass as the facility began to close for the night. To his left was the exit, the sun already down, what little glimpses he could see of the night sky outside.

To his right was the main lobby, the Faz-Pad, Glam-Rock-Gifts, and the grand staircase that lead right into the Atrium. The beautiful mix of neon lights and flashing signs never got old to look at.

Standing in the center of the twin stairwells was a large statue of the lady herself, Fredda. She was posed singing proudly into a wireless mic, lights flashing up at her like some Hollywood movie star.

"Mike! Let's go!" The man called out to him gruffly, clearly irritated by his constant distraction.

"Yes sir!" He was quick to catch up as he followed the older man into the Atrium.

The massive open floor that met his eyes filled him with a wave of nostalgia, and once again he found himself simply just taking it all in. This was where he was going to be working from now on, where he was going to spend most of his time, free or not.

The atrium was massive, the farthest end from him stood the stage. His eyes widened in glee when he saw them, the girls, the members of the Fred-Bear band.

Fredda, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy were all on the stage. The four of them all waved at the crowd as they left, their faces all pulled up in very convincing smiles. Smiles so genuine that they actually seemed to reach their eyes.

Made his heart skip a beat.

They were all dressed in their original costumes, Fredda with a black top hat and a big black bow tie that accentuated her fluffy brown fur. She was dressed in black tops and bottoms that seemed to leave little to the imagination, something the rest seemed to follow.

Chica wore stringy red panties with a large oversized bib to cover her chest, the classic words 'let's eat' plastered over the front. Bonnie wore a purple bra and panties, yet her bright red bow tie kept her connected to Fredda.

Then stood Foxy, the busty big-chested red furred pirate herself. She wore a black ring piercing in her right ear, skimpy black top and bottoms with precariously placed skull and crossbones that made her both hot and silly at the same time. Her big bushy tail wagged rapidly behind her as she pretended to growl at the guys closest to her, holding her hook hand 'threateningly'.

The dudes in the crowd loved it, and he supposed that he couldn't blame them. He was head over heels for her too.

Then finally standing on the other side of the stage was the new Glamrock band. Glamrock Fredda was practically sparkling with her bright blue body paint over her soft brown fur, flashing a blinding smile that had practically forced one into his own.

Glamrock Chica was waving like a gleeful puppy at her adoring fans, only upstaged by Roxanne Wolf herself, the beautiful purple white furred wolf an eye catching beauty, dressed like some eighties rockstar, perfectly accentuated by her thick stray green streak of hair. She seemed to mirror Foxy in the chest department, her poor red shirt straining for mercy.

Standing just a little off to the side was Vanny, the mismatched grey furred bunny too shy to face her cheering crowd, yet she tossed a wave nonetheless. A little blue bow tie hung around the shy bunny's neck.

"W-Wow… I've never seen them all on stage before! This is.. This is amazing!" He nerded out unabashedly, eyes practically sparkling…

No…

They were definitely sparkling.

His adorable levels of excitement must've somehow caught the attention of the girls on the stage, as they all turned his way, waving at him with smiles. He found himself flushing as Roxanne blew him a kiss, the others waving at him.

"Schmidt!!" It was the angry voice snapping at him that made him realize that he'd completely lost himself in admiring the girls. "Get over here now! We don't have time to stare!" He hissed.

"R-Right sir!" Mike squeaked, running after him. He followed after him, passing by other staff members and the customers, being led down into the atrium towards a grey door. Slipping inside after the man, he found the bright colors replaced with cold greys and yellows, clearly the maintenance walkways that customers weren't supposed to see. There were stairs that led down one floor, the basement below the Mega-Plex.

"Down here is the maintenance tunnels that the staff here use to get around the facility. These walkways lead to every main room above, to the staff cafeteria, kitchen, stock room, freezer, laundry room and bathroom, as well as general storage. Your security office is also located down here at the center of it all." He explained, leading him down towards a split in the hall.

To the left was an open cafeteria, a few staff members relaxing at the end of their day. Ahead however, was the main corridor, and subsequently his security office.

The office was in the center of a hall of walkways, two electrical heavy metal doors barring entrance. Two windows allowed vision into the room, a spinning chair, an entire monitor display setup with multiple screens, and a keyboard that most likely gave him access to a handful of different systems.

"This is where you will spend the later half of your shifts. This is going to be very, very important that you listen carefully to what I am going to say." He intoned lowly, stepping into the office.

Mike nervously sat across from him, the older man clasping his hands together. He pressed a button on the desk, large and red in color. Immediately the two open doors slammed shut with a thud, leaving the two of them in privacy.

"Schmidt, you've got less than two hours until midnight. It all starts at midnight, every day, every week, every year. Your job here is very, very important, so listen closely." He started, turning to the camera systems. "Your shift starts four hours before midnight, eight pm. Your job is to make absolutely sure, without failure, that every single human has vacated the premises before the clock strikes midnight. This is non negotiable, and no errors are acceptable. First things first, let's get you up to speed on the layout of the building."

He turned the camera on, shifting through the many video feeds before it landed on the main stage. The clock read ten fifty pm. The girls from before were still on the stage, but with the customers gone now, they began to wander off.

And…

More than that, they were seen talking to each other. It wasn't robotic shlock, or repeated dialogues, but genuine conversations.

He switched through the various video feeds, first following both Chica's as they seemed to scamper off towards the break rooms for food. The leftover pizza never stood a chance.

Jumping back a few cameras saw both Foxy and Roxanne walking off arm in arm, talking about this or that, something the camera couldn't quite pick up at its current settings. The man continued to switch cameras as he followed them off stage, across the atrium and into their changing rooms. Once inside, he kept the feed open up until the point that the girls began undressing, immediately switching to somewhere else.

Both the younger and older Fredda were seen moving to the rehearsal room, gently setting their props aside as they seemed to go over how well the night had gone. They sat down across from each other on the lounge couches placed in said rehearsal room, lying around like anyone would at the end of a long day at work.

Eventually the camera flipped around once more, quickly finding Bonnie bunny with her little sister Vanny the rabbit. The two were seen wandering off towards what was likely the daycare center of the Mega-Plex, Kids-Cove and Fazbear Theater in the same direction. Vanny seemed flustered about something, but the camera didn't pick up what they were talking about.

They didn't return to some charging chamber until they were next needed, or anything like he expected them to. They simply just wandered off throughout the Mega-Plex as if it was their house…

As if they were real…

"By eleven thirty you must be sure the facility is empty, at which time you will want to be in your office. For your own safety, you must not leave this office between the hours of midnight and six am." He turned back to him. "Mr Schmidt, now comes the truth." He said lowly, leveling a serious look at him.

Mike swallowed thickly. "W-What happens if people don't leave before midnight? Wait, what danger is posed against me here? Intruders?"

"No. You don't really have to worry about anyone on the outside. Security is too good for that. No, what you need to worry about are the girls who live here." He explained.

Mike's eyes narrowed in confusion, what he'd seen on the cameras still very fresh in his kind. "You mean the… animatronics? What could they-?"

"The girls are not animatronics." The man cut him off gruffly.

"…"

"They are real. Real, living, breathing creatures. They talk like humans, walk like humans, and sound like humans. They are very much alive, in every sense of the word." His words rang out in the office like a gunshot.

Mike was sure his mouth had hit the floor in the wake of his shock, his brain coming to a screaming halt.

''They…. they're real?'' He couldn't quite fathom what he was hearing. ''That can't be possible… it just doesn't make sense…''

''B-But I saw them talking! Walking around like they were… Like they were… real…'' His mouth slowly closed, as if coming to terms with what he'd just learned. ''Oh dear, this is all a bit overwhelming...''

"So you can see why when I say it is your job to take care of Mr Afton's girls, I truly do mean that. As much as your role here is that of security guard, you are also going to act as the personal in house maid so to speak. Tend to their needs, help them when they can't do something on their own, and look after them in whatever ways that they need when they need it."

"W-W-Wait wait wait! Slow down!" Mike choked out, still struggling to accept what he was hearing. "Th-They're real… Okay… I can… I can work with that-"

"Is that going to be a problem?"

"N-No no!" The young man jumped a little too quickly, his cheeks warming slightly in both a mix of embarrassment and the fact that his childhood crushes were in fact not robots, but real living creatures. "N-No, that won't be a problem. That just- I'm just surprised." He explained, taking in a deep breath.

"Good. That's good." The older gentleman sighed. "Okay slugger, here's the deal. You see those beautiful girls out there?" He muttered, thumbing over his shoulder towards the cameras. "During the day they are the sweetest darlings you'll probably ever meet. They are kind, considerate and generally friendly. They've always treated the staff with kindness, and don't get upset when some of their fans get a little too handsy, if you know what I mean." He explained, voice actually softening when speaking of them. "Ask them nicely enough and they'll practically do anything for you."

"This place is their home, their world, their lives. They can never leave. For their own safety, and for the safety of others." And then came that grim tone again.

He was afraid to ask, but couldn't stop himself from doing so. "What about during the night?" He asked quietly, glancing back over to the camera once more. He saw a handful of the girls playing around in the arcade, laughing like they didn't have a care in the world. They looked so happy, so genuine, so sweet and kind.

He couldn't imagine anything else.

"When the clock strikes midnight, they… change." He sighed deeply, taking off his glasses to clean them. Glancing at his reflection in the glass, he sighed again. "Those beautiful girls turn into something scary, dangerous… evil. They can't control it, it's out of their hands."

"E-Evil…?" Mike murmured, unsure.

"The first night it isn't so bad. They'll claw at your doors, stalk you if you ever dare to leave that room, might even rough you up if you let them catch you…" He trailed off, as if a heavy weight was hanging over his shoulders.

Mike swallowed thickly. "And by the fifth night…?" He asked, dreading the answer.

The look the man gave him would haunt him for the rest of his waking life. "If they catch you then, I'm not entirely sure you'll survive the night. Their violent tendencies and erratic emotional behaviors grow more and more out of control as the week progresses. They could hurt you a little, play with you like some toy…"

"Or whatever it is that they are feeling in that moment. Their inhibitions are disabled, and their bodies work outside of their control at that time. It's not a safe situation at any moment during those hours."

"…" Mike didn't know what to say, mouth firmly closed. The silence was oppressive.

"That's why this job is held with such secrecy. The girls are in a terrible and difficult situation that they are completely out of control of. If left ignored they will find their way out of the Mega-Plex at night, hurting many more. That's why we have a night guard, to-"

"To keep their attention occupied inside the facility, until they come back to their senses… Isn't that right?" Mike murmured, hitting the nail on the head. Surprisingly he wasn't scared, not really.

Sure, everything he'd been told now told him that he could very well die a long and painful death if he slipped up, but…

He was also told that he was being given the chance to help the poor girls who couldn't help themselves, and he'd looked up to them since he was a kid. Knowing the truth now, that they were real, how in the world was he going to say no?

And besides, he'd already signed the contract agreement anyway. He had to, at the very least, give this whole thing a shot. A part of him was telling him that this was a bad idea. But the other half was screaming at him that he was going to get the chance, not only to work alongside those he idolized growing up, but in fact live with them as well?

It might as well have been a dream come true, a dream that had a decent chance of injury or death every night.

He mentally scoffed.

He was a fast runner in high school, he was sure he'd have no problem. He also knew Tai-Jutsu, to some degree at least.

Thanks teach!

"Mr Schmidt?" The interviewer asked, gaining his attention. He'd let the question hang for a while, before he decided to ask for an answer.

The firm gaze Mike gave him was that answer. "I'll do it." He stated firmly. "Besides… It's not like I've got anyone to return home to. What's a little risk?" He said so casually that it gave the older man pause.

It was a bag he was not willing to open at this point in time.

If he survived, then maybe he would ask one day. Because the response did unnerve him.

"Then it's settled, Schmidt. It's too late to move in tonight, but I will get the paperwork filed tomorrow morning. Tomorrow evening I will have the staff help you move into your new apartment." He added lightly, his dark and gruff tone replaced with an older, more tired one.

"Where is my apartment anyway?" It was a question Mike had completely forgotten to ask until now.

"Right right! Of course you'd want to know that. Unlike the rest of the staff, you will be living on site. You see, it's your responsibility to get close to the girls. Get on their good side, and the chances of them wanting to cut you up at night might go down to something more… soft, I suppose. You can't necessarily do that if you're only here while they're trying to kill you, now can you?" He added with a deep chortle.

"As such, you have a personal in house apartment built into the space above the backstage. It's got everything you'll need, including windows to the rest of the city, and an outdoor patio and pool. It's all fenced off, so you don't have to worry about anything too crazy. The facility is already very tall, so the only folks that can even see what you get to up there are probably the people living in the plethora of hotels down the road."

"Remember, that while although they cannot control themselves at night, they remember everything that happens. If you want to get on their good sides, you can't do that by hurting them to escape from them. Be clever, figure out another way."

Mike sunk back into his seat, taking it all in. It still felt like a dream, like none of this could be real.

But it was.

"In the meantime, I suppose you can sleep in the security office until your apartment accommodations are met. Your shift starts in less than an hour now, so you've got to get ready. You'll need to familiarize yourself with the facility layout, the functions of your office, and if needed, escape routes…" He stood up, holding his hand out to the younger man.

"Good luck Mr Schmidt, and for my sake, don't die. If you can find a way to make the girls less hostile during the night, then by all means, go right ahead. They seem to hold some strange grudge against night guards in general, some bad experiences from the last few years now, so, try to make a good example. Make friends with them, it certainly couldn't hurt…"

He waved as he walked out, tossing a handful of labeled keys as he left. "Have a good night, Mr Schmidt. I'd better see you in the morning…" Were his last words as he left, vanishing into the darkness of the maintenance walkways.

Suddenly it was just him in the security office, the dim lights and the desk fan the only thing to accompany him. He swallowed thickly, settling his nerves as he instead turned towards his desk.

''This is the place I'm going to be working from now on… I guess I'd better familiarize myself with it.'' He thought quietly to himself, carefully looking over the handful of buttons separated from the keyboard. Two red buttons accompanied the keyboard, one to the left and one to the right. They were large and red, labeled simply as, door.

More than a little curious, he pressed the right one. There was an electric hum as the right open doorway was suddenly barricaded by a thick metal barrier, completely preventing anything from getting in or out.

"Woah…" He breathed in surprise, pressing it again, watching with a strange sense of satisfaction as the door flew back up into the ceiling above. "That's so cool…" He murmured, like a child in a candy store, before shaking his head. "Come on Mike, get it together! This is no time to play around!" He slapped his cheeks, getting himself into focus.

He turned from his computer, spotting the night guard uniform that had been picked out for him ahead of time based on his information offered via email a day ago. The grey security polo was strangely comfortable, as were the black slacks that accompanied it. Thankfully he was allowed to wear his sneakers.

He couldn't imagine being on his feet all day without them.

He sighed, patting himself down.

It felt good to work at a big time place such as this, even though his shift had barely started at all.

Speaking of which…

"I should probably go say hi before midnight… I-It might be rude not to." He muttered to himself. Before he left the office, he was sure to grab the tablet sitting beside the door, getting mobile access to the facility's camera systems.

"Okay… Where is everyone…" He muttered, swiping through the feed as he walked absentmindedly towards the atrium.

Swipe…

Swipe…

Swipe…

"Huh…" He murmured, standing in the now entirely vacant atrium. His footsteps seemed to echo across the way, nobody in sight. The stage was empty, no sign of the girls. "I wonder if they went back to their rooms…" He murmured, glancing around.

He quickly shuffled off into the back, slipping through the doors into the backstage area. "H-Hello?" He called out, unsure.

His boss said he should be back in his office by now, but he wanted to make a good first impression on the girls before anything else happened. He couldn't do that by hiding all night.

Peeking into the open space of the back rooms, he found all four of their changing rooms. Apparently they shared to save space, Bonnie with Vanny, Foxy with Roxanne, etc. the doors to the rooms were opened, so he concluded that they probably weren't in there.

He sighed in disappointment. "Huh… Where in the world are they?" He glanced down to his tablet again, swiping through cameras until he landed on the backstage video feed.

"Whatcha looking at?" Came a cute and curious voice from over his shoulder.

"Ah, I'm just trying to find out where everybody's hiding at. I wanna make a good first impression, but I can't really do that if I don't find everybody…" He explained with a disappointment sigh. "I didn't think it would be this difficult to find everyone with the cameras, but I suppose this place is kinda huge… Heh." He trailed off with a little laugh.

"Oh! That's so sweet! I think Roxanne will really appreciate that." The cutesy voice beamed happily. "Usually the Security Guards don't seek us out, we have to come find them…" She added after a moment. "But it's super late, what are you still doing here anyway?" She asked after a moment of thought, not putting two and two together.

''Wait a minute…'' Mike thought with a slowly dawning sense of realization. The young man blinked, before he glanced up to his right. A white body met his eyes, pink bow tie clipped on the top of her feathers, with little pink streaks on her cheeks beside her beak. She blinked down at him curiously, before her cheeks pulled up in a smile.

"Hello Mr. Security Guard!" Glamrock Chica beamed down at him, waving excitedly.

His eyes widened in surprise, cheeks warming. "C-Chica? Where did you come from?" He squeaked, before clearing his throat. She was so close, he felt her breath on his neck.

"Oh you know! The kitchen." She explained excitedly, motioning to said kitchen behind her. "I was feeling kinda hungry after today's show…" Her cheeks warmed in embarrassment, realizing that she probably smelled like Pizza. "Better question is, what are you doing here Mr. Security Guard? Are you new around here? Don't you know you are supposed to be gone by now?" She inquired curiously, crossing her arms underneath her breasts in an attempt to look imposing.

It definitely didn't work.

"Yep! I just got hired today." Mike beamed, completely forgetting about both what time it was, and all of the warnings his boss had mentioned to him only an hour ago. He was talking to his living breathing crush, how couldn't he be excited?

Well…

One of his crushes anyways…

He loved them all…

He cleared his throat, glancing around the halls. "H-Hey Chica, so you probably know your way around here, right? Do you think you could take me to the others?" He asked nervously, cheeks warming at their close proximity. He reached up, scratching the back of his head out of some nervous habit. "I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone since I'm going to be working with you all from now on. I'm actually the new Night Guard." He explained lightly.

Chica's expression suddenly changed when she realized that he was no mere security guard, but the Night Guard. The man who was going to be staying overnight, the one who was going to have to survive her and her sister's crazed midnight attacks.

She suddenly took a step back, putting some distance between herself and him as if he'd burned her. That playful look of hers had been replaced with something more cautious, guarded, afraid.

Mike's eyes widened, his expression falling. "D-Did I do something wrong?" He asked nervously, taking a step to approach her.

"What are you doing here?" Came a cold sharp voice, the imposing shadow of a certain beautiful wolf approaching from behind him.

"What's going on 'ere?" The accent accompanied the appearance of a busty red fox, standing side by side with her wolf counterpart. "Who are you?"

"Chica… Who's this?" Then came the bear sisters, appearing from the door that lead to the staff lounge rooms. They eyed him warily, unsure of his appearance.

"Sis…? What's he doing here so late? I-It's almost midnight!" The yellow Chica came up to her sister from behind, eyeing Mike like he was going to reach out to bite her.

"H-His shirt says Night-Guard…" The soft spoken nervous mutter came from a petite mismatched grey rabbit, the rabbit girl hiding behind her older and bigger purple bunny sister.

And suddenly, the man in question had found himself surrounded by the entire cast. He was certainly starstruck by getting the chance to meet his idols all in person, but he could tell that this wasn't the time to nerd out.

He could tell rather quickly that his presence there was not appreciated.

"You, what are you doing here? You need to get out of here." It was Fredda that spoke up, approaching him with her arms crossed. Surrounded as he was, he could finally appreciate just how much taller most of them were compared to him.

Swallowing his nerves, he straightened his back as he stared the lead bear in the eyes. "My name is Mike Schmidt, the new Night-Guard. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He introduced himself properly, holding out his hand for her to shake. She eyed the appendage wearily, and after making him wait for a long moment, decided to play nice and take it, her larger paw completely clasped around his own.

The moment was brief, the bear quickly pulling away. Mike clasped his tablet nervously in his hands, glancing around to look at everyone.

There was a heavy mix of emotions in the air. Tension, apprehension, excitement, fear, anger, worry, and even… Lust.

He clicked his legs together, offering them all a short yet respectful bow. "I-I can tell that my presence is probably a bit of a surprise here tonight, but I wanted to make a good impression on you all first and foremost. I-I don't know what happened with the older night guard, but I promise here and now that I will do everything within my power to do right by you all. I won't give up because it gets hard, and I won't run away because it's dangerous."

His words started out weak and nervous, but as he continued to speak they gradually became more confident. "I've been informed of your situations, and know the struggle you all go through. It's been my dream since I was child to work alongside you all, and being here now, I finally get the chance to do that. I'm being told that it's my responsibility to help you all with anything and everything you need, and I couldn't be happier to help you all out."

"I want to repay you all for helping me out when I was young, even though I was probably just another face in the crowd, I feel that I have the chance here and now to repay some of that happiness." He beamed, eyes closed with a genuine smile. "I don't care what the question is, I'll do it for you. So please, if you all need something, anything at all, don't be afraid to let me know. And… I hope that this means you'll all accept me into the Fazbear family. Just know that I'll do my best for you all." He stated confidently, hands on his hips.

Silence met him, but it felt less…

Oppressive then before. The tension was certainly lessened by his words, their expressions less guarded than before. But he did realize that the bears seemed to be the ones who called the shots around here, as all the girls looked to the twin Fredda's for approval.

Glamrock Fredda glanced to her sister, as if holding a silent conversation. The first bear didn't say anything for a long moment, before she relented.

"You seem to have good intentions, so I will give you that, Mr Schmidt. I am not easily impressed nor satisfied, but you have made me want to believe in you. However, if you truly want us all to believe in you, then you will have to prove it." She said ominously, leveling an intense stare at the shorter man.

"Your words mean nothing if you cannot survive the night. So, see to it that you do…" She muttered lowly, turning away before he could see her expression change. "I'm tired of being let down. Please, for my sake… For our sake, live up to your words…" She murmured as she quickly wandered off.

He watched her go, uncertain if he'd made a good impression or not. But seeing as she said she'd give him a chance, he was going to take that as a success.

He glanced around to the others, to gauge their reactions. They still kept their distance, but they seemed eager to get to know him now. Very, very eager.

He smiled bashfully, scratching the back of his head. "W-Well… I suppose I should get going now, huh…" He smiled, glancing at the time on his watch.

(11:55pm)

"Yes… I think you should." It was Roxanne who broke the silence, leveling a strangely playful look at him. "See you later, Mr. Mike. And please be careful… We don't have any control of ourselves…" She murmured, quickly vanishing into the facility.

Then it was just him. He swallowed nervously as the lights all dimmed, darkness becoming pervasive throughout the building. He supposed he needed to retreat to his office for his own safety now…

He quickly backpedaled through the dark halls, quickly returning to his spinning chair as the clock struck midnight.

Then it hit him.

His first shift had truly started, and he needed dive careful if he was to survive.

"The boss said the first night wasn't anything too crazy, but he said to not let my guard down no matter what." He muttered to himself, getting situated. "Alright, let's do this." He pumped himself up, turning the security cameras on.

"Night one, here we go…"
