Rey descended towards the surface of Exegol. She saw a fleet of black star destroyers each with a superlaser underneath it. She approached the temple which was an upside-down pyramid. She landed nearby and walked on to a circle shaped platform which lowered down into the temple. When it stopped, she walked forward down a hall. There were strange humanlike creatures around working. She made a left turn down another hallway. She entered a large arena and approached a throne in the middle of it. "Welcome Rey. You are my granddaughter. "A voice said. Rey saw an old, deformed man in a chair. It was Palpatine. "Strike me down so my spirit can pass into you. "Palpatine said. Rey couldn't believe what she was looking at. "Strike me down. "Palpatine ordered. Palpatine saw a woman in white with a hood approach him.
"You caused my family to suffer too much you monster. "Leia growled. "Ah Princess Leia how nice of you to join us." Palpatine replied. "You lied to my father to make him fall to the dark side, then you tried to turn my brother to the dark side and now my son. You never wanted an apprentice. You wanted to transfer into them. First my father until he got hurt on Mustafar. Now my son. You can't cheat death Sith. Only becoming one with the force is the way to live forever. "Leia said. "You are wrong princess. "Palpatine growled. "You messed with my husband's mind to make him join you. We missed most of our children's lives because of you! "Padme shouted. "Love makes you weak. Rey handed her lightsaber over her shoulder to Ben. Then she ignited her new one. A yellow duel blade. One knight charged at Padme and went right through her. "Miss something? "Padme said laughing. "Mother was never there when we needed her either. "Leia replied and she spun and took down a knight with her lightsaber. Luke jumped over a knight and stabbed him from behind. Ben forced pushed a knight back and struck him down with the blue lightsaber Rey gave him. Soon all the knights were defeated. Outside various spaceships fought against the fleet of star destroyers. Palpatine gained strength from the hate the group was feeling. "Yes, the true emperor has been revived. Now you will all die. "Palpatine said as he stood up. He shot force lightning knocking everyone down. "Come on we have to defeat him. Luke groaned as he struggled to move forward. "Rey let me help you?" The spirit of Anakin said as he descended into Rey. "You are a fool! "Palpatine growled. "I am the chosen one! "Anakin shouted through Rey. "Everyone now! "Anakin shouted. Anakin struck Palpatine down at the same time Luke and Leia did. "NOOOOOOO! "Palpatine shouted as he died. Padme appeared in front of him and hit him with yellow lightning. "I will make sure you never come back! "Padme shouted as she looked down at Palpatine as he died. Palpatine exploded into blue lightning and dust. Outside the resistance and civilians helping them defeated the final order ships. Rey collapsed from the lightning Ben healed him. Ben then collapsed and Rey tried to help him. Padme appeared beside him and began to heal him. "No Ben it is too soon for you. Ben woke up, put his arms around Rey and kissed her. "Padme said The temple began to shake, and debris fell. 'let's get out of here. "Rey shouted. The group raced out of the throne room and towards the elevator to the surface. They rode the elevator to the surface and boarded the Tantive IV and returned to space.
Leia met the others in the corridor near the bridge. "It's over finally. "Leia said. Anakin's ghost appeared and Padme approached him. She raised her arms and hit him with lightning bringing Anakin back to reality. Padme threw her arms around him. "Now we can be together again forever. "Padme said. They kissed. "Hey, you two get a room. "Leia said. They stopped kissing and Padme faced the group. "I was wrong about the prophecy. I thought Anakin and I were to defeat the sith as the chosen one. It wasn't a person. It was a family, our family. We are the chosen one. "Padme explained. "What do we do now? "Luke asked. Rey and Ben started kissing. "Anakin and I are going to return to Naboo. You guys can join us. "Padme said. "Well, I would love to see your home planet mother. "Leia replied. "I would to Leia. "Luke replied. Rey and Ben turned to Padme. "I think we will settle down there as well. "What about the Falcon? "Han asked. "Contact Lando and have him bring to us there. "Leia replied before she went to the cockpit to set course from Naboo.
