It had been 6 years since the Kyuubi no yoko attacked the village. And in that time 3 children were looked at like the spawn of the said fox, in order from youngest to oldest they were Menma, Naruto. And Naruko. Kids who can't catch a break. Each day the triplets were scorned, threaten by death. Beat, sometimes even injured. Emotionally physically. Menma wanted nothing more than to protect his younger siblings. It was hard because Naruto was often a troublemaker, Naruko often stayed at home doing nothing. Menma having been the only red haired one out of all of them stood from his other two halves. It wasn't like he wanted that though, he needed to protect them from everything, or that's what his thoughts were.
"Naruto! You have to stop pulling pranks!" Scolded menma.
"But why? They should. Acknowledge us! We're gonna be he-"
Naruto was cut off by menma's pout.
"We can't be heroes if you're being bad." He said with cross arms.
"...fine! But no promises!" Said Naruto with a cheeky grin.
Naruko watch her older brothers from the bedside. She had a black eye inflicted by one of the villagers today, it stung badly. She used one of her blonde locks to over eye to hide it, it was common for them to be injured one way or another. Physically. Emotionally. Or mentally. The most resilient seemed to be Menma, considering he kept them both in place. Or Naruto. For the most part Naruko wasn't a trouble maker. Kinda just the girl at "Wrong place, wrong time".
Time to time, they were visited by two people. An anbu member with a dog mask who seemed very attached to them. The third hokage who dropped off money for them. And today was one of those days when Dog mask dropped by.
Knock Knock.
Naruto woke up first. Seeing his other two siblings in the bed next to him, he took it upon himself to answer the door.
"Who is there.." asked the sleepy six year old.
"Inu." The voice responded.
"Inu who?" Said the child, slowly growing more cheeky and awake.
"I-nuuu you."
The six year old Finally opened the door and Clung to the legs of the Anbu agent with a big smile.
"it's you! Why are you here so early?" Asked Naruto.
"im here so early because, why not. The earlier, the more time I get to spent time with my favorite fox cubs."
"...you're so cool, when I get bigger, I wanna be just like you!" Said Naruto. Holding out his fist.
The dog masked male bumped fist with him, Smiling under his mask.
"Say, there are your other two siblings?"
"Oh! They're asleep. They haven't woken up yet!"
Naruto took his hand, and guided him towards to the opening of the apartment.
"Someone hurt Ruko yesterday. They hit her hard in the eye, can you take her to the doctor today..?"
"I'll try, in the meantime, I'll put ice on her eye."
"Okay! I'll get ready!"
Dog mask, Now revealed to be everyone's favorite Kakashi Hatake. Took a small pouch from his pocket. And stuffed it with some ice. The sound of sink water running and bristles scraping teethe audible. The sun rising and shining through the window. He walked over to Naruko and lifted her bang.
"Ouch," he said mentally. It hadn't yet begun swelling. He gently shook her awake, making her open one eye.
"Doggy...?" She mumbled.
"yes, it's me."
"my eye has a boo-boo..." she mumbled. Her lock still over her eye
"Don't worry. I've got the solution."
"Really? You can fix it?" She asked with high hopes.
"Indeed I can, It might sting a little okay?"
"...okay."
Kakashi placed the ice pack on her eye. And ruffled her hair.
"Relax. Your brothers are going to be getting ready for the academy. I'll patch your eye up so that you can get ready too. Alright? You and your brother will always be safe, I swear."
Naruko laid back, Finally capable of untensing, the pain around her eye subsiding slowly.
Menma and Naruto were finally in attire, Naruto wore a Sleeveless Orange jacket with a hood. A blue shirt underneath. Blue shorts. Blue toeless boots. And blue wrist bands. Menma had a black shirt with the signature Uzumaki swirl on its back. Much like his younger brother. However he wore black shorts and black toeless boots. Still. Both had the same hair style. Short locked spikey hair, although Menma's was red, Naruto's a light yellow. Naruko was a mix of both, yellow hair with red ends. wore a high collar black shirt with orange sleeves, a black skirt. And black toeless boots. And her hair was done into a low ponytail reaching down to about her neck. Short spikey bangs hanging over her head.
"You three look quite ready for the day." Said Kakashi. He knelt down to be about At level for Naruko to climb onto his back. That she did, Menma and Naruto took his hands and he guided them towards the Academy for the day. They had 6 years left until they graduated. Naruto didn't seem to have good luck with such things however. His abnormally massive amount of chakra made it hard for him to perform such things as simple as transformation. Naruko was in the same boat but. She could actually perform Jutsu, so what was setting Naruto back? Only a select few knew this. And kakashi was one.. the yin half of the nine tails. One half was sealed into Naruto, the half of hatred and negativity. The other was of positivity, it offered held. It was sealed within Naruko. This left Menma without any major abilities.. or so one might think.
Kakashi finally left the Three at the academy, warding them each off with a hug. And Naruto a little warning not to cause his Sensei grey hairs early. And finally let them off too class..
Iruka Umino, A chunin stood at the front of the class preparing A lesson. Until walking in was an oh so similar pair of kids. The ever hated Uzumaki. Or well, the two one hated Uzumaki. The class has a mean bias towards Naruto, rather than his older brother and younger sister. Naruko was admired for her looks. Often piquing the boys interest. And menma was cool like sasuke, but on a more "Approachable" level, rather than what Sasuke was. Naruto was singled out because of his "Optimistic" nature. It annoyed people. And they all acknowledged how he was "Kyuubi no yoko" more than his younger sister. This always didn't sit with Naruko or Menma that their brother was always being seen as lesser. If they weren't seen demons, neither should he.
"Hey guys! Can I join you?" Said Naruto walking up to a group of boys.
"Sorry, we don't accept Demon foxes into our group" Said an snarky fat nosed blonde.
Naruto's smile faded at the mention of the demon fox. It was something him and his siblings got beat up over everyday, born into darkness for reasons He didn't know. They were born into darkness for reasons they didn't know. It stung their hearts to be so, so alone. For reasons they didn't know. And this cruel treatment towards Naruto. It made Menma's anger boil over.
two chakra natures mixed, Wind and Lightning. Creating the Kekkei genkai: Swift release (Jinton) The kekkei genkai Menma had just gained Access too. It stared at the group of boys...
"You do realize how much Trouble you are in. Uzumaki." Said Iruka to Menma. Who had fought the entire group of boys. And broke 2 noses doing so.
"And what were you going to do? Give them a slap on the wrist? You don't know how much pain this village has caused me and my siblings. Don't get started on things like 'Causing pain' Someone gave Naruko a black eye because she walked by. A black eye. For walking by. What they got is the bare minimum of what we go through everyday. Tell them to stop sulking and cope already." Shot out Menma in a venomous tone.
"You watch your tone young one" Said Iruka with a firm edge to his voice
"Or else I'll be having a talk with your guardians."
"...I don't have guardians. I am the guardian." Said a sad Menma.
Iruka froze. He didn't mean to strike that nerve. He had forgotten everything due the fight the broke loose.
"see! This is what I mean! You villagers know nothing!"
Menma ran out of the ice crying. Which is when kakashi entered from the Window.
"What happened?" Asked the silver haired male.
"Fight broke out. Menma broke two boy's noses." Started Iruka
"What's the context?"
"Naruto went up to a group of boys with the hopes to play. They denied him of it and called him 'Demon fox' and made fun of his loneliness. It's what led to the fight and facial injuries."
"Perhaps it's best i talk with Menma about this. I know him best out of all of his siblings."
"Please do. But do-"
"I've got this, Umino. Afterall im the one who took it upon myself to look after my Sensei's legacy." Said Kakashi Body flickering from the window.
Menma was home already, far before Naruto or Naruko. He laid on the bed crying. No one would ever understand him or his siblings. It felt like they were so alone in this world. Blamed for a death they had no idea happened. Why, why was it only him and his siblings. He had a change of heart. He didn't want to be a hero. He wanted destruction. He wished hell on the village for what they've caused...
