A month and half, my gods, I did not mean for it to take this long to get a new chapter out. Anyway here it is and enjoy also hope I answerd some of the questions to the comments you guys left.

It's been a few days since the dubbed sludge villain incident as the news was calling it when Toshinori found himself entering the Mustafu police department. With the presences of two new vigilantes in the city both the heroes and the police have been working to uncover who these people may have been. Approaching the font desk, Toshinori cleared his throat.
"Ahem"
The receptionist, a young woman with antennae on her head, looked up having noticed his presence.
"Oh hello sir, how can I help you?"
"Yes, I'm here to meet with detective Tsukauchi."
"Oh, yes of course, the detective mentioned he had a friend coming by, I'll inform him that you're here" the receptionist said before a new voice butted in.
"No need Akiyama, I'll take him from here." Approaching from further in the station was a tall man with black hair wearing a tan overcoat. His friend for many years, detective Naomasa Tsukauchi.
"Toshi! it's good to see you, lets go talk in my office"
Following his close friend, Toshinori was led to a back office. It was a modest space with a desk, a computer and some chairs. Even a small bonsai Toshinori had gifted a year ago. Settling down in the seat opposite the detective's desk, Toshinori spoke.
"Thank you for meeting me on short notice Masa, I know you've been busy"
"It's no problem Toshi, it's just the new vigilantes causing a stir, which happens every time a new one shows up."
"That's actually what I wanted to speak to you about, I had actually met one of them beforehand." Toshinori said to Naomasa's surprise
"Really? That's great, I'm sure whatever info you have will greatly help in tracking them down"
Toshinori let out a nervous chuckle as he rubbed the back of his neck. Shifting his eyes to the side to avoid eye contact with his friend, who observed his nervous antics.
"He he, well I was wondering if maybe we could drop the investigation, or, or you know dial it back"
The detective simply stared at Toshinori with a blank face as he let out a drawled out "why?"
Under the blank stare the number one hero was quick to explain about the young boy he had met that day. How he started off chasing the sludge villain through the sewers, then catching up and taking out the villain and Eruptor, how the boy flew on the back of the dragon to stop him. He mentioned how the boy explained his quirk could bring toys to life and how the green skinned woman followed him to the villain attack and jumped in.
Naomasa said nothing as he let his friend explain himself, but did make a few notes on what he said. When Toshinori finished Naomasa let out a sigh as he rubbed a hand on his face.
"Ugg, Toshi you couldn't have told me this sooner, we already pulled resources to find the vigilantes and now you've told me that they're the product of some kids' quirk. It's just gonna be a wild goose chase now."
"I'm sorry! It's just the kid really impressed me, he plans to attend UA next year and how can I just let a young man suffer from my own mistakes. It was my fault that the villain got loose and he was able to fix the situation. I owe it to the kid that he still has a future!"
The detective had his face in his hands as he groaned "You really know how to make my life just that bit more complicated don't you" Tsukauchi said with a light smile.
"All right, I'll pull a few strings"
"Thank you Masa, do you think you could find him in the system?"
"Let me see, while you didn't get his name you got his quirk which works just as well"
Tapping away at his computer it only took a few minutes for the detective to get a file pulled up. Turning it around to show Toshinori, the detective watched his friend light up at the image of a green haired kid in a middle school uniform.
"That's him!"
"Midoriya, Izuku. Third year student at Aldera junior high, Mustafu. Quirk "toys to life" hmm not much of a description on how it works just that the toys grow bigger and move on their own."
"Hmm, that's much more simplistic than what he told me and what I saw. For one he used this little platform he called a portal and would place the toys on it, then they would disappear and reappear much larger somewhere else" Toshinori said
"That must have been how the one that looked like a fish appeared out of nowhere and how the two disappeared so quickly, they were called back." Tsukauchi added
"Yes I believe so, there also the fact that they have quirks of their own and if the green one, i believe her name was Stealth Elf, is to be believed there also sentient"
Tsukauchi couldn't help but let out a whistle "that really is some quirk, teleportation, sentient toys with quirks, wonder what else the kid can do?"
"Not sure, but i'll find out when I see him at UA"
The detective smiled at his friend "do you think he's the one?"
Toshinori smiled as well "I'm not sure, i'd like keep an eye on him, from a distance at least"
In the days following the sludge villain incident, Izuku and the skylanders spent their time at home. Mostly due to their grounding. Izuku didn't mind though as he got to spend all that time getting acquainted with Gill Grunt and the others getting reacquainted with their old friend, which is where they found themselves now. Sitting at his desk Izuku was frantically writing in his skylander notebook.
"Ok, I think I've got most of your abilities written down but I wanted to talk to you all about our plan for the future" Izuku said as he looked at the toy figures that sat on his desk.
"The entrance exam for UA is in ten months so we have to prepare. I've been looking around for a place where we can train and I think I found one. Takoba municipal beach park is an illegal dumping site that the city hasn't bothered with for years, which earned it the nickname dagobah beach. No one goes there so it would be the perfect place for me to portal you guys without drawing attention."
"Sounds great Izuku but what about me and gill. Public opinion isn't kind to us 'vigilantes'. If we were seen it could be bad for you in the long run." Elf said with concern
"I've thought about that, though I don't really regret sending you two out to stop the sludge villain, it's clear we can't do anything like that again. I'm not sure how that excursion will affect us in the future though it's weird you haven't been mentioned on the news, only on social media."
"Take what we can get then, now back to the plan!" Spyro said
"Right, we'll use the beach as a hidden training ground, you all can get used to fighting again. However my strength comes from the amount of skylanders I have so we need to be on constant look out for any others spread across japan."
Sitting back in his chair, Izuku became lost in thought. His skylanders told him that the last portal master from earth was an older man who moved to japan just before the age of quirks began. They had evidently been able to collect and unite all of the skylanders as well as all of the things that were sent to earth with the skylanders.
There were the magic items, which were a variety of tools and weapons that he could summon and use. The superchargers, special vehicles that certain skylanders could pilot. Gill, Elf, and Eruptor had apparently been drafted when the group was formed and had their own personal vehicles. They also said their connection to their vehicles gave them new abilities, Izuku was curious to see what they meant. Finally there were the two izuku who were most eager to find the traps and creation crystals.
The traps were what Izuku most wanted to find. Special crystals made of what the skylanders called traptanium, that allowed the portal master to capture villains inside them after they were weakened or defeated. It would make capturing villains so easy since they were inescapable.
The creation crystals however gave Izuku pause. They were supposed to allow portal master to create new skylanders called imaginators in skylands so he wondered what would happen if he tried it here on earth.
Letting loose a long yawn, Izuku noted how late it was. Bidding his skylanders goodnight as he went to bed dreaming of his future as a hero.
Despite the late night, Tokyo was as lively as ever when Glumshanks caught the late train home after spending a week in Mustafu. Making his way from the station he arrived at a rather expensive looking apartment complex. Making his way through the lavish lobby Glumshanks greeted the front desk reception as he passed.
"Evening Nakamura, having a pleasant night?"
"Oh, Mr Glumshanks, how nice to see you! Yes it has been a nice night. How about you, enjoy your trip to Mustafu?"
"Yes it was quite relaxing but unfortunately it never lasts. Goodnight Nakamura" Glumshanks said as he took the elevator straight to the top floor.
Stepping into a massive luxury penthouse, Glumshanks was presented with a stunning view of the Tokyo skyline and the Tokyo tower. The penthouse spanned three floors plus the roof of the building, each with only the finest decor for comfort. Moving towards the main sitting room, Glumshanks was treated with the sight of one of his roommates.
Laying on a lavish couch with a wine glass in hand was a skeleton wearing a deep purple suit with gold accents. Despite having no flesh or hair, he had a thin wisp mustache and in the dark sockets of his skull were his eyes, one gold and one white.
"Ah Glumshanks you're back!" the skeleton said as he noticed glumshanks
"Hello, Moneybone. Where are the others?" Glumshanks sighed
"Oh Spellslamzer is probably in his study, rag wearing peasant never leaves it anyway. Hood Sickle is on the roof, brooding like usual. Jack is in his kitchen and I locked Broccoli Guy in his room because he was annoying me. Finally I believe Mesmerelda is speaking with the Madam in her lounge."
"Thanks" Glumshanks said as he walked away "Oh and you might want to gather everyone, its seems that Spellslamzer was right when he said the skylanders would return"
Moneybone, who had been taking a sip of his wine, took a spit take "W-What!"
Glumshanks didn't hear him as he made his way down the hall and entered another lavishly decorated room, with multiple couches and a crystal chandelier, it was a very over the top home theater. One one wall was a massive tv that was playing the news though muted and on the other was a mirror just as big, with a golden jewel encrusted frame.
In the room already was a purple skinned woman with four arms wearing a red and black striped dress along with a matching hat. They had the presence of a showman and an aura of intimidation as she looked over her shoulder, smirking, to see glumshanks enter. Glumshanks hesitated for a second before a familiar voice greeted him.
"AHH Glumshanks dear, how wonderful to see you back."
Looking over to the large mirror hung on the wall, Glumshanks bowed his head as he returned the greeting.
"It is good to be back Lady Kaossandra"
Lady Kaossandra, mistress of the darkness, last dark portal master before the age of chaos was a tall thin woman who wore a long black dress with gold accents and crystal jewelry as well as a very large collar. Her hair was done up in a way to resemble horns with crystal hair pieces holding it together. Her presence itself screamed power and authority but unfortunately was diminished due to her unfortunate circumstance.
For the last couple centuries she has been imprisoned in the large mirror that hung on the wall. But she's taken it in stride, having declared she will be free of her prison when the time is right. Hopefully that time will be soon, considering the news that glumshanks brings.
"That's nice dear, would you like to join Mesmerelda and I. We were in the middle of having tea and discussing the latest news" She said as she sipped tea from within the mirror.
"Ah, it's so wonderful having Spellslamzer around, he's certainly made my mirror prison much more homey"
Glumshanks had to agree as he looked past his mistress form in the mirror to see a comfortable looking study, with a bookshelf and desk and other nicknacks. Before, kaossandra's mirror prison was a bear bones stone room with no exits other than the mirror to see into the real world. It was thanks to Spellslamzer's own magical ability they've been able to place objects within the mirror but unfortunately he does not possess the raw power to free Kaossandra.
"As much as I would like to madame, I don't think the others will let it remain this peaceful, not with the news I have to tell you" Glumshans said as he sat down and poured himself a cup.
"What do you mean?" Mesmerelda questioned before the doors were kicked open behind her and a cacophony of sound filled the room.
"Hey hey watch the suit you peons!"
"This had better be true, i was in the middle of makin ma chili"
"Ohhh, Broccoli guy is not liking this"
Stumbling into the room was moneybone along with a few others. One looked like a floating piece of broccoli, another was a large man with the head of a chili pepper wearing a chef's outfit. Behind them were two larger figures, one wearing all black with a hood covering their face like an executioner, carrying a double sided scythe and finally the last one was floating off the ground and wore a patchwork cloak with a hood up that only let their eyes be seen.
Notorious villains of skylands, Count Moneybone, Broccoli guy, Chef Pepper Jack, Hood sickle and Spellslamzer filed into the room taking seats on the couches while Hood stayed standing with his arms crossed.
"Alright we're all here, so just give it to us straight Glumshanks, is what the count sayin true? Has Slamzer actually been spouting fact?" Pepper Jack questioned as he glared at Glumshanks
"It's true, the skylanders are back, they're here on earth. I saw Stealth Elf of the life element and Gill Grunt of the water when I was in Mustafu. They stopped a villain made of sludge and saved a kid when the heroes couldn't."
The room immediately descended into chaos. Pepper jack letting loose curse after curse, Moneybone brought out a bottle of wine and started downing it, Broccoli Guy cowering in his seat and tried to hide under a throw pillow. Mesmerlad broke her tea cup in her hand and started shouting at Spellslamzer who started gloating that they should have listened to him earlier. Glumshanks quietly drank his tea as he watched them all get at each others throats before shifting the eyes towards his mistress.
Kaossandra sat calmly in her seat, hands folded and face blank letting no emotion slip through her mask. He had seen it many times before, his mistress was contemplating. As the others fought, Glumshanks shifted his eyes to the last person in the room, the dark reaper himself.
Hood sickle was a terrifying figure in Glumshanks opinion and the fact that was his professional job made it all the worse. Just his intimidating presence alone was enough for him to be thrown into cloudcracker prison back in skylands, though there were still his countless assault charges, I mean hey, what scarier than having your bones broken with the threat of death as a scythe is held to your throat. Despite that, he made for a loyal and stalwart ally due to his said professionalism.
Hood sickle had his gaze set on Kaossandra as he too was watching how she would act. After a moment Kaossandra refocused and caught Hood sickle's gaze, making a small gesture. Hood sickle merely nodded before stepping away from the wall, taking up his scythe and bringing it down on the coffee table in the center of the room, stabbing right through, with a loud crash. Immediately the others who had been arguing flinched away from the action as they looked towards the reaper.
"SILENCE" Hood Sickle's deep voice rumbled. Thoroughly cowed, the others sat back down as they turned their attention to Kaossandra.
"Thank you Hood. Now, I know this news is upsetting but we shall remain composed. The Skylanders have returned. We all believed that when we were banished from skylands we would never have to deal with their meddling ever again. Now, we must consider what this means, Spellslamzer, you came to me a month ago to inform me of an unknown surge of magic, correct?"
"Yes Madam," Spellslamzer replied in his raspy ghostlike voice "In my endeavors to locate and retrieve our allies from the many realms beyond both earth and skylands, I detected a surge of magical power. After some time I deduced the lingering energies to be that of a Portal of Power, and through accurate deduction I reasoned the only way a portal would be of use was if a skylander was using it, which I was RIGHT!"
"Indeed you were Spellslamzer, I will be the first to apologize for overlooking your concerns. While the skylanders returning will be an issue, I do not believe it will be as it was in skylands"
The assembled villains grew confused at Kassandras words. Moneybone was the first to speak up.
"My lady, I am unsure if that is true. The skylanders, they're a dreadfully heroic bunch. Back in the skylands they have prevailed against our forces time and again, I will be honest, being banished to earth has been an absolute dream. Despite the abundance of the human heroes and their quirks, they haven't even noticed our empire growing in the shadows."
"You are correct Moneybone and your fears are warranted. I'm sure that if this were skylands, where the skylanders were renowned heroes and protectors, they would be able to act with impunity to dismantle our forces. But here, on this world, they will be limited. However, that is not what worries me."
Each of the villains' attention were locked on Kaossandra's last words. In her mirror she flexed her hands, letting wisp of purple energy swirl around before dissipating.
"What worries me is that there is a new portal master, who has already found two of the skylanders and will no doubt search for the rest. Should this portal master grow in strength and the number of skylanders under their command, that is when we must worry."
"What should we do then?" Broccoli guy said
"It's obvious, we cut his strings before the show can begin." Mesmerelda chimed
"We have to find him first" Jack said
"Yes that is what we should do but that won't be possible. Glumshanks care to explain why?" Kaossands said as she gestured to him.
Having everyone's attention turned to him, Glumshanks gulped as he tried to figure out what his mistress meant. It took him a moment to think of what his mistress believes he knows, he's not a member of the tech element for nothing after all.
"Well, uh, when I saw the skylanders they had just defeated a villain the local heroes had been struggling against. The crowd of civilians cheered them on thinking they were new heroes but when confronted, the public and the heroes turned on them for technically being vigilantes. That means there's only two options for them, either continue to work in the shadows as vigilantes and have heroes after them and public opinion against them or they become official heroes themselves."
Glumshanks paused for a moment as he thought about those outcomes.
"Whichever option the portal master chooses, It will involve them remaining hidden for some time. There are pros and cons for each, if they remain vigilantes it will leave them alone without allies which allows us to focus solely on them and the skylanders but if they can become a hero? This will be worse as then we may actually have to deal with human heroes but it puts them in the open so we may know who our enemy is."
Kaossandra clapped politely for him when he finished.
"Wonderful Glumshanks excellently put."
"So if we can't get to the portal master what do we do?" Jack questioned
"What we will do is continue to build our forces, locate our lost allies and bring them into the fold. Spellslamzer, I'm afraid you will need to step up your searching, don't worry Mesmerelda and I will help. The rest of you will carry on as usual, though do we have any request on who to locate first?"
"The Doc! Ol Krankcase would really help with his technical knowhow! Of course wouldn't mind getting the rest of my fellow doom raiders" Pepper jack said
"We should locate the other magic villains, Sheep Mage apparently knows some teleportation magic and would be useful in helping gather our allies" Spellslamzer rasped
The group continued to discuss who they should bring back, which ranged from heavy hitters like Golden Queen and Grave Clobber to Eye Scream and Buzzer Beak for the reconnaissance abilities. Clapping her hands, Kaossandra brought the group's attention back to her.
"You have all made great suggestions and eventually they will all be here with us but there is one more person we will need to get. Though I am.. reluctant to say this.. In order to push our plans forward we are going to need… ugg, Kaos"
There was a series of groans and guffaws at the declaration as well as few thoughtful looks of consideration.
"Now forgive my impertinence, lady Kaossandra but that son of yours is a rotten egg! For all his power, he failed many a time to conquer skylands"
"NOW hold that tongue Pepper jack! Lord Kaos did indeed succeed in his quest to rule skylands, I helped him after all" Moneybone boasted
"And that lasted how long? Little less than a year, if I believe, hardly counts when he chickened out at the very end! Basically went to war with the skylanders and had it all under his heel, for nothing!" Mesmerelda spat back
"Now I will admit I was confused and frustrated when lord Kaos sided with the skylanders, considered him a traitor even, but I must commend him for his dedication to his goal. He sought to rule Skylands, not destroy it and if anything we have to thank for that. It would have been the end of us all"
"Yes yes I know we all have varying opinions of my son but as a mother I do care about his development. After having suffered defeat multiple times against the earth portal masters and the skylanders, I hope he would not squander the chance to best them on their home world. I have made my will known so let us retire for the night, we must play the waiting game now." Kaossandra said with finality.
The other villains took the queue and left the room one by one until all that was left was Glumshanks. Sitting quietly he watched as Kaossandra fiddled with her hands again, letting purple wisps flare up between her fingers before snuffing them. They sat quietly for a minute before Glumshanks broke the silence.
"There's another reason you want lord Kaos to join us, isn't there?"
"Oh Glumshanks, you always know what I'm thinking don't you?"
"Of course, I live to serve you, both of you"
"You're too good for us. It's a shame Kaos mistreats you so"
"It's his way of caring"
Kaossandra fell silent again before finally looking at Glumshanks.
"For all that I'm proud of his evil and selfish deeds, there are some beings in this universe that you do not cross. It has been centuries since The Darkness was banished from Skylands and at the time, before we were all banished as well, I did not worry about the repercussions. It's out there, right now ravishing countless worlds and growing its strength to sate its insatiable hunger. I've been cut off from its power for years but even now I can feel it calling. It's coming, Glumshanks, and Kaos needs to reach his true potential if he wants to combat it."
Glumshanks gulped as he took in the news. He had never been prouder of Kaos than when he betrayed the darkness to save skylands but if what his mistress is saying is true. A wave of worry and nerves washes over him.
"I-I-I *gulp* I can't believe it!? H-How long do we have?"
"I'm not sure but with the portal master and the skylanders and us bringing more allies to earth, it will be like a beacon. We just have to prepare…. Glumshanks, it should go without saying that this must be kept a secret, correct?"
"Of course I'll keep quiet"
"Thank you, goodnight"
With that Glumshanks left the room, leaving the mother of Kaos alone, to think and plan.
In the early morning the sounds of battle fill the air of Dagobah beach. Hidden behind the mountains of trash they skylands dueled on the beachfront. It was a small area that they had collectively cleaned and provided a nice area in the middle of the trash heaps.
Racing on all fours, Sypro charged with his head lowered and horns surrounded by flame. Opposite of him was Stealth Elf, who lept over the dragon as he sped past before she slashed back at him. Just as quick Spyro whirled around blocking the blade with his horn and using his strength to push back Elf who pushed in return. After a moment of struggle they both jumped back, putting distance between them as they stared each other down.
Suddenly, Gill Grunt and Eruptor appeared spraying a geyser of water and lobbing a ball of lava at Spyro and Elf respectively. The skylanders of magic and life reacted quickly, Spyro let loose a stream of fire from his mouth to counter Gill while Elf disappeared in a puff of smoke to doge. From the result of Spyro and Gills' attacks colliding, the beach was engulfed in a thick mist of steam. The three men were put on guard as their vision was obscured and moved to have each other back to back waiting for Elf to reappear.
It didn't take long before three Stealth Elfs emerged from the slowly clearing mist, wielding crescent blades. Attacking in unison, the Elfs struck, causing Spyro and Gill to take to the air with their wings and hydropack while Eruptor raised his arms to block with his tough body.
To counteract, Gill fired a trio of harpoons from his gun which the Elf attacking him deflected with their blades. For Spyro he released a few fireballs at his elf who performed repeated back handsprings to dodge. As the two pairs fought Eruptor eyeed his Elf with a glare, as his stomach roiled in preparation for his attack.
Throwing his Elf back, Eruptor spewed a wave of lava from his mouth successfully hitting his elf which exploded into green smoke and straw.
"Heh, heh, you and your decoys, why not fight us yourself Elfy?" Eruptor huffed
"Now why would I do that?" Elf said as she leaned on an old fridge next to izuku who had stars in his eyes.
With Spyro and Gill they had finally managed to pin down the decoys with Gill's harpoons, Spyro roasted them, making them explode.
"Whoo, still as tough as I remember" Gill said as he hefted his gun.
"That was amazing, you guys are all so cool! Using your harpoons to pin down Elfs decoys had to take some incredible skill!"
"Aww that was nothing Izuku, quit with the praise. You're gonna make this ol gillman blush" Gill said as he smiled at the compliment.
"I cant believe how strong you guys are, it almost feels like i'm cheating by passing you guys off as my quirk. I won't really be doing anything, you guys will be the heroes. I'm just the guy who gets you where you need to be." Izuku said depressingly
"Oh don't be like that man, your the portal master, your more important than any of us skylanders" Spyro said as he lightly punched izuku's shoulder
"But I won't really be able to help in fighting villains, I have the portal blast but that isn't very strong"
"You underestimate yourself, as you grow in control of the portal so will its power. And if you're that worried about helping in a fight, well we have the perfect training ground." Elf said as she gestured to the dump around them.
"What do you mean?"
"For the next 10 months you'll be learning how to fight, physically, hand to hand, as well as building up your body by cleaning this dump."
"What! All by myself!"
"YUP" Eruptor cheered while Izuku balked
"Don't worry, we have other things in mind as well for training but you're burning daylight so get to it, Portal master" Spyro said as he pushed Izuku towards the trash.
For the rest of the day Izuku struggled to move different types of trash as the skylands continued sparring with each other. After clearing a small heap, Izuku discovered an old briefcase with a lock. Curious as to what was inside, Izuku tried to force it open. Luckily the lock was incredibly rusted so he used an old hammer he found to break it.
Opening it up he was greeted to the site of a few strange Items but recognized them after a moment. Inside the case were the sky-iron shield, dragon fire cannon, platinum sheep, and rocket ram, special magic items that portal masters would use to aid their skylanders. Lifting the case up as he cheered, Izuku raced back to the others to show them.
"GUYS YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST FOUND!"
Alright third chapter finally finished. we got the after math of the sludge villain, got to meet some villains and get started on the 10 months of training and get some magic items. I really want to get to UA so the next chapter will cover the 10 months montage style, so the question i Have this time is what core skylanders do you want Izuku to have, doesn't have be from just ssa but all the cores. I want him to have at least thirteen, so with 4 down already that leaves 9.
No idea when the next chapter will be out but i hope it wont take me another month, until then see ya.
