Takes place during the Black Widow movie

I didn't leave you, I'd never

Natasha, Yelena and Melina felt it at the exact same time, all three women tensing at the table.

Alexei looked between the three of them, the grin leaving his face when he saw how his companions appeared.

"Melina?" He asked, looking at the woman that had pretended to be his wife years ago, then he looked at his supposed "daughters," "Girls?"

All three Natasha, Yelena and Melina felt it, and Yelena and Melina had an idea of what it was. They looked at Natasha, waiting for her answer.

The redhead answered, smiling sadly, "Clarke, our soulmate is coming. She must have followed me from when she tracked me down through my letters. And she followed my scent from my fight at the bridge."

Clarke, she knew, had a very strong sense of smell.

So, if anyone could track Natasha down through smell from Norway to Russia, it was Clarke.

"She's here?" Alexei asked, delighted, as always, not being able to read the mood of the room, "That's excellent! We can all meet her! She can meet her new father-in-law."

Natasha felt like smacking her head down against the table. She was in no way surprised.

Alexei didn't understand the extent of the problem here.

That was because Natasha hadn't told her family everything; about the Accords, about whose side Clarke took, about whose side Natasha had taken. But she knew she would have to tell them now, before Clarke got here and reacted in a way that Yelena, Melina and Alexei didn't understand.

"It's not something that that's simple," Natasha said quietly, staring at Yelena, seeing the yearning on her sister's face, and glancing at Melina, seeing the restrained need there, "It won't be a happy meeting. The last time I saw Clarke? It was during when the Avengers were splitting up. It was over something called the 'Accords.' And I sided with Tony for the Accords. Clarke sided with Steve against the Accords. Clarke….she thinks I abandoned her."

She hadn't, though. That wasn't what happened when she had said yes to the Accords, but she knew that Clarke would see it that way.

Because of Clarke's abandonment issues? Clarke would see Natasha taking the side of the Accords as an abandonment, as a betrayal.

Natasha watched as Yelena's eyes widened. Melina kept her eyes focused on Clarke.

"Does she know we're here?" Melina asked softly.

Natasha nodded as she said, "She can probably smell the two of you. And the thing is, she knows that you and Alexei gave Yelena and me up in Cuba. Because I told her."

Both Alexei and Melina appeared wounded, like they wanted to argue with what they'd heard, that they had given up Natasha and Yelena, but from the look on Natasha's face, they knew better than to argue.

Natasha continued, "Clarke? She will be very, very angry when she gets here."

The way Natasha said it, must have instilled some sort of warning to Alexei, because he stared at her, startled.

There was suddenly a rush of movement in the back of the house, and the pigs all squealed in fear at what they heard.

Then it was followed by a loud growl.

Natasha stood up, as did Yelena, Melina and Alexei.

"She's here," Natasha said, making her way from the table to the back of the house, where she heard the noise.

As if she needed to tell Yelena and Melina that. They could feel what they were feeling before, coming closer.

That was why it didn't surprise Natasha in the least when there was the sound of a window cracking open and a dark figure appearing at that window.

Natasha heard Yelena gasp behind her.

"Is that-?" Yelena began.

"Yes," Natasha said, as Clarke entered the house through the window.

Stepping down onto booted feet, her entire body clasped in black leather, hair long and pale blonde, eyes that normally were blue, were black, fangs slipped out of her mouth, her fangs gnashing as she stared at the four people before her.

Clarke's attention at first was only on Natasha, then her eyes went to Yelena and Melina.

Then Clarke looked past them at Alexei.

She looked back to Natasha as she asked, "Are those two who I think they are?"

Natasha sighed. She knew she wouldn't be able to keep this from Clarke. "Yes," she said.

Clarke growled and made a slight lunge for Alexei, but Natasha stepped in front of Clarke.

"No," she said, keeping her voice firm, her emerald eyes meeting Clarke's currently black eyes, "Clarke, please."

Clarke growled again, throwing a glare at Alexei, then stepping closer to Natasha as she grabbed Natasha's arms and shifted them both so that the two of them were close to the wall and Clarke pushed Natasha against the wall, holding her there.

Natasha snapped at her sister, when Yelena protested, "Clarke-!"

"Hush," Natasha snapped, knowing that she needed to keep Clarke's attention on her, and not on anyone else.

For all of Clarke's wildness? Natasha could keep Clarke somewhat tame.

Even at Clarke's most vicious.

Clarke snarled between her fangs, "You abandon me, leave me for Tony and Ross, and now I find you with that?!"

Clarke glared at where Alexei stood, and Alexei backed away, horror on his face as he understood the extent of what Natasha had tried to warn him of.

Clarke looked back at Natasha and fighting back her tears, Natasha shook her head, pressing her forehead against Clarke's, "I didn't leave you, Clarke. I swear I didn't. I didn't really leave you, not really. I was trying to protect you."

"Protect me?!" Clarke spat, anger in her voice.

"If Ross and the rest of the government decided you were dangerous, you'd have no one on your side," Natasha whispered, pleading with Clarke to listen to her.

Clarke had her clawed hands around Natasha's arms, and had Natasha up against the wall, but at no time, did Natasha feel like she was in danger.

She knew she wasn't.

Clarke would never hurt her.

Natasha was pleading with Clarke, because she desperately wanted the younger woman in her arms again. Because she couldn't bear the thought that Clarke thought that she wasn't loved, that she was abandoned.

"Oh, yeah," Clarke snapped, "and what good it did that you were on my side. You put us in the Raft, Natasha. They put a collar on Wanda!"

Natasha flinched at the thought.

The Raft wasn't strong enough to hold Clarke, thankfully, and she had broken out easily enough.

Plus, Steve had gone on his way to rescue the others.

Now, they were all renegades. Including Natasha.

"I left Tony and the Accords," Natasha promised Clarke, feeling the tears threatening to fall, thinking about how afraid Clarke must have been, thinking that she was being abandoned by the woman she loved more than anyone else in the world, "I left and went to join you."

"You left me," Clarke growled, "You left me…"

"I didn't," Natasha whispered against Clarke, desperately wanting to kiss Clarke, unafraid of the fangs, knowing that Clarke would sheathe those fangs quickly, to protect her mate from any pain, "I never left you. I never really left you. I'd never."

Clarke's eyes closed as she shook in pain, and finally, tears began to fall.

Natasha pressed herself against Clarke, whispering softly to the younger woman, cooing out Russian endearments, feeling Yelena, Melina and Alexei watching them, mesmerized.

Clarke was in so much pain, and Natasha knew that this was not the ideal time, since they had to deal with Dreykov, but Natasha knew, that she had to make sure Clarke knew that she would never leave her. Never.

Natasha knew, she would do everything in her power to help Clarke heal, and it didn't matter what the outcome was of facing Dreykov.

She would do everything to heal Clarke. If she didn't survive, she knew she would have to count on Yelena and Melina to heal her.

But either way, she would comfort Clarke. She would heal her lover.
