SIlence..
Complete, utter silence.
I don't know what exactly is going on, why there was beeping. Or why it stopped.
RADION Chapter 1 - The Incident
Throughout my entire life, I have been seen of useless, powerless, hopeless. Hell, even my parents knew I was going to be hopeless, and left me at the door of an orphanage, without even so much as a name. Then, the horrible kids at the orphanage called me Maigo. How useless must someone be, to literally end up being named hopeless.
From there, I think my whole life was written in stone. Never to change, or to waiver. Zero chance of ever becoming light or hopeful. Instead, a eternal life of...
No. Hope. Completely, utterly, hopeless.
[click][click-click][click][click][cl-] "Right kid, you are way too far behind your work, the toilets are still a mess from those dumb kids, and you are just sat here clicking away with a pen?" "S-sorry sir, I'll get to it immediately" I cower, getting up to get cleaning again, but I trip over the bucket I had been sitting on, ending up with dirty water all over me.
"Ahahaha! Oh my god that is hilarious!" I hear the snaps of a phone camera going off, directed right at me. "You really take after your name don't you Maigo?" My boss remarks, with his mouth twisted into an evil looking smirk. Looking at me, with piercing eyes, mocking me.
Those eyes. I'm sick of them, those glaring, jesting looks. Making fun of me.
Kill him. KILL HIM NOW.
"Oh yeah, I suppose I do don't I? Why don't you take after your ancestors and DIE!" I scream, stabbing him over and over, countlessly with the pen I was just clicking away endlessly, opening a huge gash at his throat. Blood spatters across the tipped bucket, the red river flows into the dirty water all over the floor, creating a ripple of dark red.
"Oi you hopeless cleaner, get to it." My still very alive boss coldly says. What just happened?
I watch the suit clad man walking away, adjusting his collar around his neck, like something is itching at it. Once he leaves, I shake my head trying to forget whatever happened "Guess I really do need to sleep."
I look around the dirty bathroom. There is liquid all around the toilets, no guesses needed to know what that is, and when I look up, I see toilet roll stuck to the roof, along with... a... I think it's a condom? What the actual fuck.
As I turn around, I look into one of the dirty, mark infested mirrors. What looks back at me is a fairly short, skinny male with rough black hair, drenched from head to toe. It is a truly pitiful sight and one that disappears from my sight as I start to wipe the mirror to get started on my cleaning.
A huge gust of wind blasts through an alleyway, as the number one hero All Might appears speeding after another villain, this time a dark sludge villain who had stolen from various people in broad daylight. The Symbol of Peace then caught up to the sludge villain as it attempted to overtake a young boy in its grip. All Might quickly defeated the villain and trapped him inside a pop bottle, and rescued the boy.
What happened is the start of a story. But not the one we are watching over. The story we are watching is not one that is as promising, or wholesome. In fact, one could call it closer to horror than hero.
As I made my way through seperate rooms of the college, I ended up at the final rooms. It was a collection of science labs connected through a small hallway, and a storage room that was filled to the brim with different chemicals and lab equipment, Walking into the last lab of the hallway, I carried a bucket full of water and cleaning chemicals sloppily, with splashes of the mixture dripping onto the floor and down my legs due to my clumsiness.
'Christ, more stuff to sweep up when I am done I guess.' I think to myself depressively and as I put my bucket down next to a table, I look to my left outside the windows and see Endeavor fighting some villain, quite closely to the building.
Wait.
Shit.
Before I could have a chance to react, a huge burst of flames smash through the windows of the science lab, and the heat spread quickly, engulfing the storage room next door in the hallway, with an explosive rumble following. The ferocity of the explosion sends me flying into the back wall of the science lab, my body slammed roughly against a chalkboard and my vision dimmed.
I try to get up from the ground, but I don't budge at all. Huh? Weird, I can't move. Hell, I can't feel my body.
As I look down, I see that my entire lower body is mangled, and I have chemical burns all over, with all my clothes shredded to bits dangling loosely on my body. The last thing I notice is... wait.
Am I glowing?
[BEEP][BEEP]
[BEEP][BEEP]
Oh. So I'm in hospital.
This is because of Endeavor isn't it? Damn him.
As my train of thought was about to spiral, a doctor walked in. "Hey, Maigo is it? So, the explosion didn't seem to cause any lasting harm physically on the outside, and no internal damage either, you are certainly a lucky man."
Huh? No damage... Like none at all? But I was...
I look down again to see my body completely fine, no longer mangled and burnt.
I can feel my body now too.. What happened?
"You can leave whenever you want, considering there is no damage to you. But, if you have any problems, let us know immediately."
With an acknowledging nod, the doctor left the room, and me, to my own devices in my bed. Now, what was that weird glowing I saw before I passed out? It must have been a hallucination right? Must have been.
I get out of the hospital bed to leave, but I slip and cut my hand. God damn- eh? My surprise is clear when the cut quickly closes up, as if it had never been there.
