Love Hina and Pokemon is owned by Ken Akamatsu and Game Freak respectively
"Both Pokemon are down. The champion and challenger are down to one final Pokemon!" The referee shouts as Cynthia and Lucas return their Lucario and Kabutops respectively back into their Pokeballs.
This battle for the championship has the arena all kinds of messed up. Craters and claw marks litter the arena. This championship battle is shown live all around Sinnoh. The Sinnoh Champion and Myth Researcher Cynthia going against the Destroyer of Team Plasma and Sinnoh's Savior Lucas.
"You did a good job Motoko." Lucas praises his Fossil Pokemon.
"And you as well Lucario." Cynthia compliments his Aura Pokmeon as well. "This has been my favorite battle yet Lucas. You certainly are a great trainer but now we must end this."
"That's right. I made a promise to someone that I will become the champion the next time we meet and I don't break my word." Lucas said with vigor as he pulls out his last Pokeball.
"Is that so? Well pardon me but I will break that promise in this battle. Go Garchomp!" Cynthia throws her last Pokeball and Garchomp enters the arena with a roar.
Lucas throws his Pokeball, "Let's finish it Naru!"
Infernape lands on her hands and does a front flip. Naru pounds her chest, showing Garchomp she is not intimidated.
"Garchomp, use Swords Dance!"
Garchomp dashes towards Naru.
"Naru, dodge!" Lucas shouts and Naru tries to roll but Garchomp's speed bulldozes her. "You good Naru?!"
Naru looks at her trainer and flips him off.
"Oh good. You are okay." Lucas gives a sigh of relief, not at all put off by the middle finger.
Lucas has a big smile and points at the Garchomp in front of them. "Let's show the world Naru! Use Drain Punch!"
"Poison Jab!" Cynthia commands and poison drips from it's claws while Naru's fist glows and charges towards the Mach Pokemon. Both go for an attack and swing towards each other.
"Naru/Garchomp!" Both trainers shout with all their might. Naru grunts when one of claws grazes her side but she keeps going and punches Garchomp in the stomach, sending the Champion's Ace Pokemon a couple of feet. Garchomp seems to shrug off the attack. Cynthia is happy that her Pokemon doesn't seem to be that hurt. That smile turns to shock when Garchomp kneels in pain as Naru's wounds heal up. Though Naru appears to look sick. The wound from the Poison Jab maybe healed but the poison has entered her system.
"Naru, catch!" Lucas throws an antidote at Naru.
"Garchomp! Destroy the antidote with Flamethrower!"
Garchomp perform a deep inhale. That is when Naru jumps over the Dragon Pokemon and grabs the antidote. She drinks it and falls towards her opponent.
"Crunch her Garchomp!" Cynthia orders her Ace Pokemon. He opens his mouth and shows his sharp teeth to the falling Infernape.
"Naru! Wrap your tail around Garchomp's horn and spin!" Lucas shouts and Naru wraps her tail on Garchomp's horns and spin rapidly. Her speed is igniting her body.
"Oh no!" Cynthia realizes what Lucas and Naru is planning. "She is creating a Fire Wheel!"
"Now use Focus Punch we all your might!"
"Infernape!" Naru roars with all her might and her fist lights up. Thanks to her spin, the force of Naru's punch becomes critical and launches Garchomp up in the air. He is slammed to the ground on his back.
"Garchomp!" Cynthia runs towards her Pokemon and kneels next to him. The referee checks on Garchomp and realizes the shocking truth.
"Garchomp is knocked out! The winner of this Pokemon battle and new Champion of Sinnoh is Lucas!"
Lucas is shocked. Then he run towards Naru with a big smile. He picks her up and holds her in a bear hug. She is clearly trying to get him off her but is blushing.
"We did it Naru!"
Naru stops trying to escape and hugs her trainer. Though she hides her blushing with a frown.
Hinata Town is a small town in Sinnoh. Ask anyone about the town and they would mostly talk about the cherry blossom festival once a year and Tokyo University, known as the most prestigious school of the region.
A car stops on the steps of Hinata Inn. Champion Lucas steps out of taxi and walks to the entrance to the inn. Before he gets to the inn, he enters the cafe at the bottom of said inn. Lucas sits down and waits for a waitress.
"Good day sir." The waitress has her eyes on her notepad then looks at the customer, "What will you-"
She stops once she sees the champion in front of her. Her mouth practically drops to the floor.
"Good day ma'am. I wish to talk to the owner. Could you please bring her here?" Lucas requests. The waitress closes her mouth and nods till her head becomes a blur. She runs to the back and Lucas waits. While the many costumers gaze at the celebrity in their midst.
"Okay! Okay!" A voice Lucas remember is heard from the back and Haruka Urashima enters practically dragged by her maid. Still as beautiful as Lucas remembered with a unlight cigarette on her lip. "Now who is this big shot?"
Haruka is shocked once she sees Lucas. The Sinnoh Champion runs towards Haruka and hugs her. Something she happily returns.
"Haruka! It's so good to see you!"
"Heh. Yeah, you too Lucas. I saw your match." Haruka said and Lucas has a big smile once he hears about her watching his match.
"You did? So does that mean we can get married?"
That question stops every customer from drinking and the maids stop moving. Haruka has a shocked look and drops her unlit cigarette. Everyone is waited on baited breath for Haruka's answer.
"That's right. Our promise. Heh, guess you know my answer." Haruka remembers the promise they made as childhood best friends. Back when they were little, these two made a promise that if Lucas became the Sinnoh Champion and Haruka inherited the inn then they would get married. Haruka gives her answer when she grabs Lucas by the shirt and pulls him into a kiss. To the cheers and clapping of her customers and workers.
Tokyo University teacher Keitaro stretches his arms, exhausted from his work on his students. He exits his classroom and walks towards the elevator when someone from behind blocks Keitaro's vision with their hands.
"Guess who?"
Keitaro smiles and pretends to think, "Hm... Could it be my beautiful girlfriend and the greatest gym leader?"
His vision returns and turns to see his girlfriend, the Ice Gym Leader, and fellow teacher Candice next to him. Keitaro and Candice meet when Keitaro was having an early life crisis. He tried to become a Pokemon trainer but barely won two badges and couldn't beat the others. So he tried to get into Tokyo U but failed the entrance exam twice. Keitaro was going through depression when he meet Candice, shortly before she became the Ice Gym Leader, who tutored him and they both got together when they graduated.
Since this university was the place they meet, this couple became teachers with Keitaro sometimes working as a handyman and Candice being the Snowpoint Gym Leader only part time. A lot of their students have a bet going on for when the big question is going to be asked.
"And Candice's boyfriend is right in front of her." Candice said cheerfully and kisses Keitaro. The former trainer blushes but returns the affection. The students passing by giggle and whisper to each other.
"Are you ready to visit the inn?" Keitaro asks Candice as they are going to Hinata Inn for the weekend before heading to Snowpoint City.
"This is going to be fun. We could share the spa together."
Candice is excited for the visit while Keitaro is pretty neutral. Sure, he gets to meet his aunt but there isn't that much occupants in the inn. It can be quite boring. Probably going to be the same.
"Come on out guys!" Lucas throws his Pokeballs and six Pokemon comes out. Haruka is interested to see the team her fiance used to become the champion.
Naru the Infernape lands then jumps to grab a roof beam.
Motoko the Kabutops kneels and sharpens her hand scythes by hitting them together.
Kitsune the Thievul dashes towards Haruka and appears to show affection to Haruka only to steal her wallet.
Mutsumi the Luvdisc cheers and floats towards Lucas to rub their cheeks together.
Su the Turtonator fires one of her spikes from her shell upwards and Naru narrowingly drops down with the spike lodging into the roof.
Shinobu the Suicune jumps towards Lucas and he pets her with Shinobu purring.
Haruka slowly turns to a sweating Lucas. "I can fix the roof."
"Uh-huh." Haruka smacks Lucas upside the head with a paper fan. "You are lucky my cousin is visiting today. He's a professional."
Shinobu looks at her trainer get scolded and gives a pout to show her displeasure. Seeing that makes Lucas chuckle and pets her to calm her down.
"It's okay little girl."
"Little?" Haruka jokes a bit.
"Yep, this is Shinobu." Lucas introduces his legendary Pokemon, who is purring from the petting. Haruka stops herself from crouching with Lucas and petting Shinobu like crazy. Naru leaps and hangs on Lucas' shoulder.
"Naru is my starter and best friend."
Haruka can tell that Naru is smugly looking at her while she is hugging him.
"I found Motoko's fossil and revived her."
Motoko bows before Haruka like an ancient samurai. She quickly looks frightened when she notices Su sitting next Motoko while eating a banana.
"Luvdisc!" The Heart-Shape Pokemon dashes into Haruka's arms and she rubs the cheeks of her trainer's fiancee. Mutsumi is clearly excited to meet Haruka. The lady Mutsumi's trainer loved to talk about.
Su jumps and fires a spike from her shell. Thievul chomps on the sleeves of Lucas and Haruka and drags them away to dodge the spike.
"No Su!" Lucas goes to Su and scolds her. Haruka pets Kitsune and she purrs.
"Thanks little girl." Haruka said and is confused why Kitsune holds her paw up. As if she wants to be handed something. Keitaro notices it and sighs. He walks away from the guilty Turtle Pokemon.
"Kitsune wants a reward for saving us." Keitaro kneels next to Kitsune and gives her some Poke dollars. Putting them in her bag, the Fox Pokemon smugly strolls away. Shinobu tries to get Su's attention but she is said at Lucas' scolding. Seeing the sad Turtonator makes Lucas hand her some Nanab Berry. Seeing those berries makes Su grabs them and swallows them whole. Su is back to her excited self. Keitaro pets Su with his back turn from the entrance.
Keitaro and Candice enter the inn, holding hands.
"Hey there Aunt Haruka. How's it going?"
Haruka hits Keitaro with her paper fan. "Cousin. Stop calling me that."
"Ow! Good to see you too." Keitaro holds his head in pain. He notices someone taking care of a Turtonator.
Candice greets Haruka. "Hey there future in law."
"Candice." Haruka nods to the Ice Gym Leader. She notices the new guest. "Meet my fiance, Lucas."
Lucas turns around and finds himself staring at a shocked Keitaro and Candice. Though both are confused for different reasons.
"Wow Haruka. You finally got yourself a man?"
Haruka gets a tick on her head, "Why is that surprising Keitaro?"
"Um... It's just..."
Candice jumps forward and greets Lucas with a hug. "Lucas! Good to see you."
"You know this guy?"
"Keitaro, you didn't watch the championship yesterday?" Haruka asks and Keitaro looks away in embarrassment.
"C-come on. It slipped my mind." That is when his Pokeball opens and Keitaro passes out thanks to Croagunk's Poison Jab.
Everyone laughs as Candice holds Keitaro's hand and uses the antidote. Lucas and Haruka meanwhile sit together with their wedding rings shining from the setting sun. Lucas' Pokemon circle around them to look at the rings.
How did Lucas find his Pokemon?
Naru- Infernape: Starter, pretended to not want Lucas when she was a Chimchar and was secretly happy when she was chosen. Naru also punches Keitaro when he forgets about type advantage or does something stupid.
Motoko- Kabutops: Lucas found a Fossil underground and revived Motoko at the Oreburgh Mining Museum. Has a samurai personality and for some reason, can do extra damage to male Pokemon compared to female.
Kitsune- Thievul: Camping on a route forest, Lucas finds a Nickit stealing his wallet and catches Kitsune while she was counting the dollars. Kitsune is a mischief maker and gambler that likes to mess with Lucas' opponents.
Mutsumi- Luvdisc: While Lucas was fishing in Lake Acuity, he was talking with Candice and mentioned his promise with Haruka. Mutsumi lets herself be catch to see such a romance with her own eyes.
Su- Turtonator: Found in ancient ruins. An explosive but intelligent Pokemon that likes to create devices.
Shinobu- Suicune: Lucas finds an injured Shinobu, hunted by a Legendary Hunter. He saves Shinobu and defeats the hunter but she is quite shy and wants to be strong like Lucas.
