Chapter 10
Lexington and Broadway
Later that night…
Michael had finally managed to sneak out of the Sanctuary and was now back at Castle Wyvern with the others. Goliath and Joseph had managed to get Brooklyn back to the castle without incident. Brooklyn was still out cold from the fight by the time they got back to the castle.
"How long until you think he comes around?" Michael asked.
"Not long now." Goliath answered. "Brooklyn is a survivor. He's endured worse."
Not long after that, Brooklyn began to stir. He opened his eyes, blinking a few times as he waited for his eyes to adjust to the light in the castle. He looked around, seeing Michael first.
Brooklyn leapt up to feet. "Where have you taken me?!" He snarled at Michael.
"Castle Wyvern. A deal's a deal." Michael said, motioning to Brooklyn's left. "There's someone here you might want to see."
Brooklyn looked to his left and saw Goliath. He stood down, looking at Goliath in disbelief. "…Goliath? I thought you were…"
"Far from it, old friend." Goliath extended his hand. "As for where I have been, It's a long story. I'll let Nicholas get you up to speed."

"So, this Blackwing movement has been recruiting MDC Contaminants from the city, and we need to find out why? Also, Nicholas has this 'bunker' in Mount LeConte which he thinks the contents could help us?" Brooklyn asked.
"Basically." Michael said. "We're hoping to get together as much of the Manhattan clan as we can, then head out to that bunker. That's why I went to the Sanctuary. That's where we tracked you down."
Brooklyn nodded. "Alright, so who's next to find?"
"Lexington and Broadway are the only ones left we can find in the city." Goliath explained. "Now, let's not waste any more time."

Morningside Orphanage
The Next Night – 7:45 PM
Broadway awoke from his sleep, stretching out as his stony shell cracked open, freeing him from his slumber. After a loud yawn, he proceeded to dust the flakes of remaining stone off his body.
"Good evening, Broadway." A friendly voice said from behind him. Broadway turned around and saw the orphanage caretaker, Lilium Wolcott, and her adopted teen daughter, Mary Shelly. The ones who had taken him in after he left the Manhattan Clan behind after Goliath's death.
"Good evening Lilium, Mary." Broadway said, smiling. "How was the day, today? I hope no one caused any trouble."
"Nope." Lilium answered. "Things have actually been very quiet for a while since you thrashed those gang members a few months ago that tried to rob us and take away Timmy that night. The gang hasn't shown their faces since. That, and Timmy has taken quite a liking to you."
Broadway blushed. "Aw, shucks… It was nothing…"
Mary then walked forward and hugged Broadway, smiling. "It may not have been a big deal for you, but to us it was a miracle. You are the best thing that has come into our lives the past ten years… We appreciate you so much, Broadway. For everything you've done."
Broadway gently returned the embrace, a tear falling from his eye. "I appreciate you both as well… You took me in after my clan fell apart, and gave me a home, you gave me something to protect… You gave me a reason to live again."
"Woah… Broadway, look!" Lilium gasped, pointing to the sky.
Brooklyn rose his head and looked over to where Lilium was pointing. Flying towards the orphanage's roof, was Brooklyn and Goliath!

After Goliath explained how he was alive, and the situation with the Dome 13 Gargoyles, Broadway understood, but was still worried for Lilium and the Orphanage. "I can't just leave them without some sort of protection… Is there any way Nicholas could post a team of guards here for their safety?"
"Nicholas already planned ahead, surprisingly." Brooklyn said. "He's sent two squads of twenty people here to safeguard them…"
A few seconds later, several large jeeps drove up.
Broadway nodded. "Very well. I will join you." He said a quick farewell to Lilium, Mary, went inside to say goodbye to Timmy, as well as saying they would meet again in the future, and flew off with Goliath and Brooklyn.
Larry's Garage
8:00 PM
Lexington looked through the empty repair list on his garage list. Business had been very slow. He sighed.
A few seconds after that, there was a knock at the door.
Lex walked over, and opened the door to see Goliath, Brooklyn, and Broadway standing there.
"Good to see you again, Lex." Goliath said. "Much has happened, and we need your help…"
Lex didn't even need to be convinced, smiling after he recovered from the surprise. He turned the sign on the door to "Closed," locked up the garage, and took off into the night with his clan brothers. While they were flying across the city, Lex began to cry, sobbing slightly in joy while tears fell from his eyes to the city streets below.
