Lihn's POV:

I was brushing my Murcat, Princess Purryfins with my special brush when I heard my Imparter ring.

I looked up in confusion to where the gadget was ringing. A million thoughts invaded my mind. What was happening? Who was calling?

Was there a problem with Tam?

Was the gang hailing to hang out?

Was it Mr. Forkle calling to tell us the Neverseen rosen again?

My heart skipped a beat from fear when that thought appeared in my mind. I shook my head to brush those thoughts away. The war with the Neverseen had really marked me, I couldn't look at Lushberry Juice without flinching, with its red color, making it look like blood.

Suddenly, an unwelcome thought replaced my Lushberry Juice ones.

Was it Marella calling?

I let go of the brush in my hands at those words, shaking my head.

Bad Lihn, bad Lihn.

Elves aren't supposed to be lesbian! You'll be unmatchable if you do this!, I thought with difficulty.

I had been trying to convince myself to stop having feelings for Marella.

But...

I just couldn't.

I loved everything about her: her long blond hair, that still had red highlights left from when she dyed it before the war with the Neverseen, her big pale blue eyes.

And how she manipulated fire. She, and all Pyrokinetics were allowed to use their ability since the council had seen that the Neverseen had been created partly because they were deprives of using their power. And when she did it, it was almost as if it was me-

Stop thinking about her, Lihn!, I scolded myself.

I snapped out of my thoughts with my heart throbbing a thousand times faster than it should. Clenching it, I reached for my Imparter, remembering it was still ringing after a few minutes.

A familiar face appeared on the screen after I swiped the call button.

"Lihn, come quickly, there's a problem with Sophie." Elwin said, hurry present in his voice.

I blinked in confusion, completely forgetting about my thoughts about Marella earlier.

Or maybe I had until now...

"Wha-" I was cut off by the screen turning black.

I stared at my blank imparter for a few seconds before dropping my hands onto my knees.

I sighed.

So much for explanations.

I got up before running to where my leaping crystal was.

"Lihn, we've got to go." a voice called from the door of my room.

I turned around calmly to see my brother, with his clothes as black as ever.

I smirked.

"Are you excited to see your girlfriend?" I asked, my voice wanting to be teasing.

His pale cheeks turned into a deep red.

I laughed as I skipped to him and ruffled his hair. Much to his discontentment.

I was happy for my brother, but I wish the same thing could happen between Marella and me.

"Then let's go!" I said, brandishing the Leaping Crystal present in my hand as if it was a sword.

Tam just sighed and brushed his bangs over his eyes.

The light hit the leaping crystal and we were taken away with the beam of light.

Biana's POV:

I slipped my leaping crystal out of my pocket.

I had just received a hail from a panicked Elwin, saying I had to go to the Healing Center with Fitz.

I had groaned at that.

My brother and I hadn't spoken much since the war with the Neverseen, it was him who had killed Alvar, and he didn't feel any guilt.

I knew I should be happy that he wasn't feeling guilty, and that that would save him from death or months in the Healing Center, but it didn't cancel the fact that he had killed my-our brother without feeling anything.

I gritted my teeth at the thought and walked to little Ritz Cracker's room.

I laughed at the name. Ritz Savory Cracker was what the gang and I had invented. It was a human snack that Sophie had brought from her old home. Everyone had laughed when they saw it rhymed with my brother's name and now, we all called him that.

I walked a few moments before reaching Fitz's room. I opened the door, not even bothering to knock.

But as I walked in, all I wanted to do was turn back in time and do exactly that.

? [TW: CHANDELITZ ALERT] ?

I gasped as I saw Fitz, levitating with his shirt on the floor, his lips pressed onto his room's Chandelier.

"My precious." he whispered while caressing the crystals of the lamp.

(A/N: ✨️Gollum vibes✨️)

He levitated higher to lie down on the Chandelier with his arms crossed behind his head.

"I wish I could marry you. You understand me more than anyone, and I understand you better than anyone." He told the Chandelier.

My face was probably in utter confusion as his eyes met mine.

"Aaaaah!" he shrieked, his arms flaying around as fell onto the floor.

"Ouch." I muttered, my face formed into a grimace.

"Owww." Fitz groaned, his body nothing but a heap of arms and legs.

I snapped back to reality.

"WHAT THE HEKS WAS THAT?!" I screamed, putting my hands on my hips.

"Uh, I can explain every-" I cut him off.

"Explain later," I snapped, trying to keep a serious voice, and most likely failing.

My eyes drifted to my boots in realization. Fitz had been making out with the Chandelier.

Now, it was going to be really hard to keep a straight face when he would be around.

"Did you receive the hail?" I asked, the corners of my lips twitching as I tried to repress a laugh.

As if on cue, Fitz's Imparter rang.

I shrugged, guessing he hadn't. I watched as he took it from his pocket and swiped the screen.

I wasn't listening to what they were saying, but it sounded a lot like what Elwin had told me. And before I could think of anything else, the call was ended.

Ritz looked up at me.

"We have to go." he said, determination filling his voice.

I rolled my eyes while holding the Leaping Crystal over our heads..

Suddenly, my cheeks reddened as we were swept away.

A single thought crossed my mind. And it was enough to make me nervous.

Tam was going to be there.
