The Doctor and Ace looked on in the rain trying to find any trace of the creature they saw, but soon they were joined by a group of men in in what looked like light armor with helmets that had visors that covered the eyes. The one other thing they all had were some sort of rifle.

"Doctor!" Xanatos yelled as he made his way in front of his men. "Are you both alright?" he asked. Under his umbrella The Doctor wrapped his arm around Ace and said, "Oh yes fine. The storm seem to have startled my associate and she seemed to have tripped one of your alarms." Just as he said that there was a strike of lighting fallowed but the sound of thunder. "Mister Xanatos." said The Doctor. "I'm sorry but I'm afraid that we'll continue out conversation some other time."

They both started to make there way down the stairs of the tower not saying a word when Xanatos called out. "Doctor. I would be happy to accommodate you and your associate." The Doctor was quick the shake his head no as he said. "Thank you, but no. We have our own accommodations while we are here. Thank you just the same." Wrapping an arm around Ace . Huddling under the umbrella they both made their way down the stairs of the castle tower. As they got there way to the bottom The Doctor noticed something about the stone wall as they walked by. One of the stones was missing.

As the two made their way across the courtyard, Xanatos watched them from atop the tower. "Was it all caught on the surveillance camera?" he asked a guard standing next to him. "Yes sir." "Good. I can't let those creatures get in my way again."

The Doctor and Ace entered the elevator and as The Doctor closed his umbrella the doors closed and as they both started to move down he stood there in silence, thinking. The silence was soon broke by Ace when she said, "So Professor, what was..." But before she could answer The Doctor tapped the tip of his umbrella on the floor cutting her off. She looked at him and saw his eyes pointing up to he elevator ceiling. Ace looked up and figured out what he meant and like her friend was quiet.

As the elevator came to the stop. They both walked out and as they went past the receptionist The Doctor tipped his hat to her and he and Ace left the tower. The Doctor opened his umbrella as he and Ace huddled under it keep out of the rain. "So Professor what's our next move?" asked Ace. He then took a look up at the sky then looked down the street, "First we need a map." The Doctor said as he started walking down the street to a newspaper stand. As he walked away Ace matched his to stay under the umbrella. When they got to the stand. The first thing they saw was more tabloid papers about the flying creatures. The Doctor handed his umbrella over to Ace and like a kid in a candy store he stared grabbing all the paper and started to read threw the paper and as soon as he was done with one he'd drop it on the floor and would pick up the next one.

"Hey Buddy!." said a semi elderly man that ran the stand, "This isn't a library, Now are you going to buy any of these." Dropping the last paper. The Doctor looked up at he vendor and asked, "Do you happen to have a map of Manhattan?" The man then held up a folded map of the city but as The Doctor went to grab it, it was yanked back and by the vendor. "If you want you're gonna have to pay." he said. The Doctor was quick to pull out his string bag and replied "How much?" "Forty bucks." Ace looked right at him with and angry face and shouted "That's highway robbery!" The Doctor was quick rest his hand on his young friends shoulder to try and calm her down. "That is for the map and that papers that your friend here took and are now turning to mush." After that he reach in to his small bag and pulled out a gold coin and said, "I think that this should more then cover it." The vendor took the coin and held it up to the street light the loomed over the news stand. "Is this real?" he asked. "There's two more if you get me a map and hold it up for me." Replied The Doctor.

The elderly man was hesitant but soon retrieved the map and unfolded holding it up in front of The Doctor and Ace. The Doctor handed his umbrella to Ace as he pulled a marker from his pocket and started marking dots on the map. "There, You see what I see Ace?" She look at the marks on the map looking a bit puzzled and said, "I don't know, Connect the dots?" The Doctor gave her a bit if a stern look as he said, "No Ace, These are the where the winged creatures have been seen and most have been see near Xanatos Tower." Still looking at the map Ace was still trying to figure out was he was going on about. "So money bags is some what connected didn't need a map to tell us that, and besides that thing flew away it could be anywhere."
