"Are you sure this where she asked you to meet her?", Tigrerra asked from where she rested on Runo's left shoulder.
"Yeah, she texted me the location and time for our brawl. And here I am, and she isn't here.", Runo sighed in annoyance.
"I'm here!". Runo heard a female voice cry behind her. She turned around to see a girl wearing black sneakers, long black shorts with a black shirt with a purple fire symbol on the shirt, a purple BakuPod, and a dark purple fedora hiding her face. The black equipment attached to her belt around her waist like every other Brawler.
"Sorry I'm late, couldn't find a proper transport for awhile.", The girl apologized with a light laugh.
Runo then noticed the Darkus Bakugan resting on the girl's left shoulder.
"It's alright, I understand.", Runo waved her off before pulling out a Bakugan field card, "Let's not wast any more time.".
The girl immediately smirked, and Runo raised an eyebrow at the girl's sharp tooth appearing, "Yeah, Let's!".
"Field Open!", They cried as Runo's card glowed yellow while the girl's glowed purple before the area around them changed to the Bakugan battlefield.
"Gate Card, Set!", Both girls cried as they threw a Gate Card across each other.
"You start, since you requested this duel.", Runo told the girl.
"Doesn't matter to me but if you say so.", The girl shrugged as she pulled out a Gate card and threw it next to hers, "Gate Card, Set!".
And then she pulled out a black Bakugan and threw it at Runo's card.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!", She cried as the Bakugan popped out once it landed on Runo's card.
"Darkus Mantris!", The girl cried as a Darkus Mantris let out a cry as its true form appeared in purple light.

"She's got guts to land willingly on my gate card.", Runo noted.
"Don't get so confident because of that, Runo. It might be a trick, or she might have a plan.", Tigrerra warned.
"Don't worry, I got this.", Runo nodded as she pulled out a Haos Bakugan.
'All Darkus Brawlers I've met were bullies… and what makes me sure she isn't working with Masquerade? I can't lose this or else she'll take my Bakugan.', Runo thought before she threw her Bakugan towards Mantris, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!".
"Haos Tuskor!", She cried as an elephant-like Bakugan appeared.

"Gate Card, Open! Haos Reactor!", she cried as the reactor card glowed before yellow aura surrounded Tuskor.

Tuskor let out a battle cry as he charged towards Mantris.
"Ability Card, Activate! Marionette!", the girl cried as she pulled out Mantris's ability card.
The mantis-like Bakugan held Tuskor by its two hands before throwing him across to the girl's Gate card.
"Hey! ", Runo said annoyed before she pulled out her second Bakugan and threw it across Mantris, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!".
"Haos Hynoid!", a hyena-like Bakugan appeared in its true form to face Mantris.

The girl pulled out another Bakugan immediately and threw it across Tuskor, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand!".

Hynoid and Tuskor froze in their places as they let out a cry of pain while Siege let out a cry of feeling power.

"No way!", Runo cried in disbelief as she read the G-Power change from her BakuPod.
"Mantris, Siege, finish them!", The girl cried in excitement. Siege charged forward before piercing its lance in Tuskor's head, while Mantris pierced both its blades in Hynoid's neck.
Both Haos Bakugan returned back to their sphere forms and fell at Runo's feet while the Darkus Bakugan returned to the girl's hands.
"Two points at once! What do you think?", The girl cried happily and proudly.
"Don't get too cocky! There is no way I'll let you take my Bakugan!", Runo cried in anger as she held Tigrerra in her sphere form before her on the last gate card.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Haos Tigrerra!".
Tigrerra roared as her true form appeared in yellow light.

The girl's smile disappeared as she remained silent for a few second before shaking her head as the Bakugan on her shoulder changed into sphere form and she threw it across Tigrerra.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Darkus Vladitor!".
A huge aura of darkness surrounded the card before a beam shot up from the card. It slowly disappeared showing a Viking-like Bakugan with red eyes.

"I don't think I've seen you before.", Tigrerra said.
"Well, you'll never forget me after this battle.", Vladitor said viciously as he charged towards Tigrerra.
Tigrerra let out a roar before she leaped towards Vladitor. The Darkus Bakugan caught Tigrerra from her neck and slammed her on the ground.
"Gate Card, Open! Darkus Reactor!", The girl cried as the reactor card activated, changing the card into a dark purple land with dark aura around.

"Not so fast! Ability Card, Activate! Crystal Fang!", Runo cried as she pulled out Tigrerra's ability card.
The reactor Gate card was nullified just as Tigrerra pushed Vladitor off her wit her feet, and the Darkus Bakugan landed back gracefully on his feet.

Crystal-like yellow blades appeared on Tigrerra's body as she charged with a roar towards Vladitor.
"Ability Card, Activate! Dark Sphere Impact!", The girl cried as she pulled out Vladitor's ability card.
Vladitor raised his hands in front of his chest, forming a large dark purple glowing sphere in front of him before he held it with one palm and charged towards Tigrerra.

He evaded Tigrerra's leap, grabbed her from her tail and slammed her again on the ground, before slamming the sphere in her chest, making her cry in pain.
"Tigrerra!", Runo cried in horror before Tigrerra returned to sphere form and fell at her feet just as Vladitor returned to the girl's hand, before the field disappeared and they were back to the real world.
"This was a good game. You're pretty strong.", The girl complimented Runo, who angrily picked up Tigrerra.
"So, you didn't take my Bakugan out of pity?!", She asked angrily.
"What?", The girl asked confused.
"Don't play nice with me! You Darkus Brawlers always take the losers' Bakugan, so if you let go off mine out of pity, I'll make you regret this next time!", Runo said before she stormed off.
The girl remained silent in her place as Vladitor popped out and rested on her shoulder.
"See what happens when you try to befriend weaklings?", He asked.
"She wasn't weak… She was actually pretty good.", The girl argued before sighing, "I don't know whatever I did wrong for her to resent me… I just wanted to befriend her…".
"Well, add her to the list of kids you battled who didn't befriend you.", Vladitor scoffed, "And looking at the kids who befriended you… They're none.".
"Gee, Thanks for the pep talk, Vlad.", The girl snorted as she activated her BakuPod.
"You're welcome.", Vladitor moved a bit as if shrugging.
The girl accessed the Bakugan top players in Japan and read the names of the Brawlers until her eyes fell on one girl.
"Hey! That girl! I met her 5 years ago!", She said as she raised her wrist for Vladitor to see her image.
"Mouri Ran, Haos Brawler. Doesn't sound strong to me.", Vladitor voiced his opinion.
"She's one of the top Haos Brawlers in the world, and her partner Bakugan is Haos Leonidas.", The girl said.
She at once raised an eyebrow at Vladitor's silence, as her Bakugan was one to always voice his opinion.
"Interesting, I never heard of a Leonidas before.", Vladitor said slowly and in a tone that give the girl a feeling that he knew that Leonidas.
"Alright, I better go look for her! I might find that Wizard with her!", She said in excitement.
"Your excitement bewilders me, Masumi…", Vladitor sighed.
Runo sat with her arms crossed angrily in another park, the one where she was supposed to meet with Dan, who was sitting next to her, the three Vanguard Brawlers.
"Seriously Runo, it wasn't that bad.", Dan said, "You didn't lose your Bakugan like what happened with Masquerade and that's a good thing.".
"I've tried telling her that for awhile, but she refuses to listen.", Tigrerra sighed from where she rested on Runo's left shoulder.
"You said this Bakugan was suspiciously aggressive?", Drago asked from where he rested on Dan's left shoulder, more interested in the girl's partner Bakugan.
"Indeed, and I don't think I've seen a Darkus Bakugan like him before.", Tigrerra nodded.
"Hey guys!", Marucho called happily as he arrived at the bench where the two were sitting, his partner Bakugan, Preyas, was resting on his left shoulder too.
"Hey, Marucho!", Dan greeted.
"And Marucho came but the Vanguard players didn't.", Runo said in annoyance.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.", Preyas joked earning a glare from Runo.
"I.. was gonna actually say that I met up with them and they're just parking their bikes.", Marucho deadpanned.
"Sorry Marucho… I just feel awful after losing to a Darkus Brawler.", Runo said, feeling guilty for her attitude with her friend.
"Well, don't let your attitude affect you the way you're treating others.", Ran said as she, Shinichi, and Kaito arrived and stood behind Marucho.
"Great! You guys are here! Now let's make some quick introductions!", Dan jumped up on his feet in excitement, "Name's Kusou Danma but call me Dan, this is Misaki Runo, and this is Marakura Choji, but call him Marucho.".
"Hey.", Runo nodded.
"Hello.", Marucho waved friendly.
"Kudou Shinichi, and this is my best friend Mouri Ran, and our new friend; Kuroba Kaito.", Shinichi said with a smile.
"Hey.", Ran said with a wide friendly smile.
"Yo!", Kaito waved.
"So, you texted me saying that you three too got talking Bakugan.", Dan told Shinichi.
"Yeah, but Ran got a white one while Kaito got a fun one, and I got a rude one.", Shinichi grumbled.
"Well, I match with my partner!", Elfin said proudly from where she rested on her partner's left shoulder.
"Behave, human!", Nillious cried from where he rested on his partner's left shoulder.
"Here we go again.", Leonidas sighed in annoyance from where he rested on his partner's left shoulder, having a feeling that Nillious and Shinichi will argue again.
But the Battle Brawlers' Bakugan had a completely different reaction.
"NILLIOUS?!!", Dan, Tigrerra, and Preyas chorused in disbelief before Preyas floated off Marucho's shoulder as he cried in disbelief again, "ELFIN?!".
Elfin did the same move to face Preyas as she cried in disbelief, "PREYAS?!!".
"Well, well…. If it isn't the noble Tiger, and my arch nemesis; Dragonoid.", Nillious said lowly.
"You all know each other?", Dan asked in surprise.
"This Bakugan here was sent to prison on Vestroia for his crimes and vicious battles back there! I was the one to stop him back then.", Drago explained.
"Vestroia?", Runo blinked in confusion.
"Oh, what a noble Bakugan you are for doing so, Dragonoid.", Nillious spat.
"Geez, I haven't seen you for awhile, how've you been?", Elfin asked Preyas.
"I've been thriving since I met Marucho, so I'm fine what about you?", Preyas replied.
"Good! My partner is nice and a talented magician!", Elfin moved a bit in happiness.
"Anyone else getting a bit confused here from the different conversations happening here with no explanation?", Runo mumbled.
"How about we have a 1 v 1 match, Kudo against Kusou, Ran against Runo, and I against Marakura? It'll be a good practice and a way to let off the anger some may feel, then we can sit down and chat?", Kaito suggested.
"I agree.", Dan and Nillious chorused while eyeing each other.
"This will be fun!", Preyas and Elfin chorused as they returned to resting on their partners' shoulders.
"Alright.", Tigrerra nodded.
"I'm ready.", Leonidas said viciously making Tigrerra slightly suspicious from his attitude.
The 6 Brawlers walked away until they reached the middle of the park. Kaito, Shinichi, and Ran stood next to each other, across them Marucho, Dan, and Runo.
Each one of them pulled out a card and cried, "Field Open!".
The area around changed to the Bakugan Battlefield just as each one of them pulled out a Gate Card.
"Gate Card, Set!".
And three Bakugan battles went down.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Haos Hynoid!", Runo cried as she threw her Bakugan on her card, and Hynoid appeared in his true form.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Haos Monarus!", Ran cried as she threw her Bakugan across Hynoid, and a Haos Monarus appeared in her true form.

Mantris slashed at Hynoid with both of its blades and Hynoid cried in pain as he fell before returning to its sphere form and fell at Runo's feet just as Mantris returned to Ran's hand.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Haos Leonidas!", Leonidas landed across Tigrerra's and roared as he appeared in his true form.

Leonidas roared as he flew high before dashing down towards Tigrerra. She evaded the first strike from his claws gracefully, but the second landed, before he pinned her down with both of his hands around her neck.
"Gate Card, Open! Haos Tigrerra Boost!", Runo cried with a victorious smile.

Tigrerra roared as she pushed Leonidas off her and away but Leonidas didn't care about the G-Power change and charged again towards Tigrerra, clashing his claws with her armored head aggressively.
"You're very aggressive for a Haos Bakugan.", Tigrerra noted.
"I'll take that as a compliment.", Leonidas scoffed.
"Ability Card, Activate! Absorption!", Ran cried immediately.
The Gate card was nullified just as Leonidas let out a roar, as yellow energy transferred from Tigrerra to him.

"Ability card, activate!", Runo immediately cried, "Crystal Fang!".

Leonidas grabbed Tigrerra with both of his hands from her neck as he growled, "Say good night!", before slamming his fist hard into Tigrerra's face, sending her flying off the Gate card, before she returned to sphere form and fell at Runo's feet.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Haos Hynoid!", Runo cried as she threw her second Bakugan and it stood across Leonidas before she activated his ability card, "Ability Card, Activate! Rapid Haos!".
Runo then threw Tigrerra again, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Haos Tigrerra!".
Haos Hynoid & Tigrerra: 360 Gs 340 Gs = 700 Gs
Haos Leonidas: 450 Gs
"Ability Card Activate! Alpha Blaster!", Ran cried.
Leonidas gathered an energy beam in his mouth and before flying high then shooting it down towards Tigrerra and Hynoid.
"Ability Card, Activate! Crystal Fang!", Runo cried.
Haos Hynoid & Tigrerra: 700 300 = 1000 Gs
Haos Leonidas: 450 200 = 650 Gs
The crystal fangs appeared on Tigrerra's back and protected her from Leonidas's beam, as she covered Hynoid.
"It's over!", Runo cried.
"Not quite! Gate Card, Open! Trade-Off!", Ran cried with a wide smile.
Runo's eyes widened in disbelief as both her Bakugan returned to sphere form and fell at her feet while Leonidas returned to Ran's hand.

"Not again!", Runo stomped on the ground angrily.
"It's okay Runo, it's a game so one might win or lose.", Ran said as she approached Runo.
"I lost TWICE! Today!", Runo said angrily as she picked up both her Bakugan, with Tigrerra popping out and resting on her shoulder.
"Runo… remember when we created the game? I used to be worst member, always losing. But I learned from watching you and others battle, and everything improved even more when I met Leonidas.", Ran said with a smile as Leonidas rested on her shoulder, popped out.
Leonidas said nothing as he moved his head to look at Ran.
"You just need to work more on your strategy, and have faith in all of your Bakugan, and trust! Like I do with every Bakugan!", Ran said, her smile growing wider.
"I couldn't have said it better, Ran.", Tigrerra nodded at Ran's words.
"I… I guess you're right.", Runo said as she took a deep breath, calming herself down.
"You… you trust me?", Leonidas asked Ran slowly in a surprised tone.
Ran looked at Leonidas and nodded, "Of course! We're partners!".
"I…", Leonidas was at a loss of words as he looked at the ground.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Limulus!", Marucho cried as he threw his Bakugan on his Gate Card, and horseshoe crab-like Bakugan appeared in blue light.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Gargonoid!", Kaito cried as he threw his Bakugan across Limulus, and an Aquos Gargonoid roared as he appeared in a true form.

Marucho smiled widely, "Yeah! I personally never felt this excitement nor fun while facing another Aquos Brawler like now!".
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Griffon!", Kaito cried as he threw his second Bakugan across Limulus, and an Aquos Griffon roared in his true form.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Juggernoid!", Marucho cried as he threw his second Bakugan across Gargonoid, and an Aquos Juggernoid roared in his true form.

Juggernoid charged and slammed its head into Gargonoid defeating it while Griffon charged towards Limulus and slashed it twice using its claws, defeating it.
All four Bakugan returned to their sphere form with Gargonoid falling at Kaito's feet while Griffon in his hand while Marucho had Juggernoid fall in his hand and Limulus at his feet.

Both boys smiled challengingly as they pulled out and threw their Gate Cards again, "Gate Card, Set!".
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Elfin!", Kaito cried as he threw Elfin on his Gate Card.
"I'm ready! Come on Preyas!", Elfin cried in her true form.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Preyas!", Marucho cried as he threw his partner Bakugan across Elfin.
"Yeah, let's do this like the old times, Elfin!", Preyas cried in excitement.
"You're often afraid of battle. What's different now?", Marucho wondered.

"Maybe because they're old buddies.", Kaito shrugged.
"Yeah, maybe.", Marucho agreed.

"Huh?!", Preyas cried in shock as he changed into a Subterra Bakugan, "Marucho, I didn't do this by myself!".
"Gate Card Open, Aquos Reactor!", Kaito cried with a smirk as the gate card changed to an ocean.

"Now we're talking!", Elfin cried as she ran towards Preyas before she jumped and sent a kick towards his chest, but he evaded it at the last moment.
But Elfin got him with a strong punch in the face, sending him flying away
"Ability Card, Activate! Blue Stealth!", Marucho cried.
"Oh yeah!", Preyas cried in excitement as he jumped back up, feeling the power boost.
The gate card effect was nullified and returned back to normal.

Preyas caught Elfin's foot when she tried to kick him before he span her around and threw her away.
"Ow!", She cried once she landed on the card again, "That's not a nice way to treat a lady!".
"And punching a gentleman like me isn't nice either!", He cried as a tornado of sand and dust surrounded him.
"Ability Card, Activate! Jamming Out!", Kaito cried.
Subterra Preyas: 540 Gs – 200 = 340 Gs
Aquos Elfin: 450 200 = 650 Gs
Elfin smirked as she formed a tornado just like Preyas surrounding her but of water, and when Preyas charged towards her to sent a punch, she did the same, but she ducked, and hit her fist right in Preyas's gut.
Preyas was defeated and fell in his sphere form at Marucho's feet while Elfin returned to Kaito's hand.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Preyas!", Marucho threw Preyas again but at his remaining Gate card.
"Come on Elfin, a rematch!", Preyas cried.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Elfin!", Kaito cried as he threw Elfin across Preyas.
"You want a rematch? You got it!", Elfin cried as she clenched her fists in her true form.

Both partner Bakugan popped out as they rested on their partner's shoulders.
"THAT WASN'T NICE, PREYAS!!", Elfin cried in anger.

"Gate Card, Set!", Both Kaito and Marucho cried as they threw their Gate Cards.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Limulus!", Marucho cried as he threw his Bakugan on his Gate Card.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Griffon!", Kaito cried as he threw his Bakugan on his Gate Card.
Marucho narrowed his eyes, wondering what was Kaito planning.
"Ability Card, Activate! Dive Mirage!", Kaito cried with a wide smile making Marucho's eyes widen.
"No way! Ability Card, Activate! Water Refrain!", Marucho cried as he pulled out a Gate Card.
Griffon attempted to fly towards the Gate Card where Limulus was but a water wall appeared and blocked his path.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Aquos Gargonoid!", Kaito cried immediately as he threw his Bakugan across Limulus.
"Ability Card, Activate! Backfire!", Kaito smirked as he activated his ability card, nullifying Marucho's Gate Card.
"No Way!", Marucho cried in shock as Gargonoid flew down towards Limulus and slammed both his feet on the Bakugan's head, before both returned to a sphere form, the same with Griffon. Gargonoid and Griffon returned to Kaito's hands while Limulus fell at Marucho's feet.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Falconeer!", Dan cried as he threw his Bakugan on his card, and Falconeer let out a cry as he appeared in his true form.
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Ravenoid!", Shinichi cried as he threw his Bakugan across Falconeer, and Ravenoid let out a cry as he appeared in his true form.

"Gate Card Open! Active Ghost!", Dan cried as he activated his Command Card.
"Ability Card, Activate! Spark Out!", Shinichi timed cried pulling out an ability card.
The activated command card was nullified and returned back to normal.

Pyrus Ravenoid: 390 50 = 440 Gs
"Ability Card, Activate! Jump Over!", Dan cried as he pulled out an ability card.
Falconeer moved from Dan's card to Shinichi's card, nullifying it.
Shinichi narrowed his eyes before he pulled out a Gate Card and threw it next to his, "Gate Card, Set!".
"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Mantris!", Shinichi threw his second Bakugan on his second Gate Card.
"Ability Card, Activate! Marionette!", Shinichi cried as he activated the ability.
Mantris shot strings from his blades, wrapping around Falconeer's body, before he threw him towards Ravenoid, on Dan's Gate Card.
Ravenoid then grabbed Falconeer from the neck and charged down, slamming him into the ground. Both Bakugan returned to sphere form with Ravenoid returning to Shinichi's hand while Falconeer fell at Dan's feet.

"Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Saurus!", Dan cried as he threw his second Bakugan on Shinichi's nullified one.
Shinichi raised an eyebrow before grabbing Nillious and throwing him on Dan's new card, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Nillious!".
"Ability Card! Activate! Power Charge!", Dan cried activating Saurus's ability.
Pyrus Saurus: 380 100 = 480 Gs
Saurus roared as he charged towards Mantris before slamming his elbow into him, knocking him out, and the Bakugan returned to its sphere form and fell at Shinichi's feet, before Saurus returned to the nullified Gate Card.

Nillious raised raised his right two fingers, gathering red energy in them, before shooting the beam from his fingers right into Saurus's chest, defeating it.

Dan picked up Saurus before he grabbed Drago and threw him across Nillious, "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan Stand! Pyrus Dragonoid!".

Drago let out a battle cry as red aura surrounded him before he formed a fire ball in his mouth and shot it at Nillious.
Nillious ducked before shooting a fire beam from his left head, which Drago dodged by flying high, then shot multiple fire balls from his right.
Drago evaded the shots before flying down towards Nillious, crashing into him, and biting him in his right neck.
Both Bakugan then returned to sphere form, Nillious at Shinichi's feet and Drago at Dan's hand.

Both Dragons charged at each other with a battle cry, clashing their claws together.

"Ability Card, Activate! Fire Wall!", Dan cried as he activated an ability card, a wall of fire surrounding Drago and Nillious, boosting Drago and harming Nillious.

"Ability Card, Activate! Piercing Fire!", Shinichi cried as he pulled out another Ability card!
Several spikes, made of fire, appeared on Nillious's body.

"You'll pay for your crimes!", Drago cried as he shot a fire ball from his mouth at Nillious's right head who winced.
"I did nothing WRONG!", Nillious cried in anger as his left head shot a beam of fire at Drago, who dodged it, but Nillious used his other head to bite him.
Suddenly, both Dragons started glowing red, with the glowing increasing moment by moment.
"What… what's going on?!", Dan asked in shock as he felt the field starting to shake, as if an earthquake is happening.
Shinichi glanced at his BakuPod to see Nillious and Drago's G-Powers rapidly increasing before the word Error flashed on the screen.
"The field is unstable!", Shinichi cried.
Both Dragons let out a roar just before a white light blinded everyone.
Kaito, Ran, Runo, and Marucho found themselves with their respective Bakugan back at the park.
"If we're back then that means Kusou and Kudou are-".
"SHINICHI!", Ran's cry of worry interrupted Kaito as she ran towards something behind them.
The other three kids turned around and their eyes widened before they followed Ran.
Behind them was Shinichi and Dan, lying across each other, their Bakugan partners in sphere form next to their heads, unconscious.
