Baelfire rode up to where Wendy, his wife, lived. Baelfire walked up to their home until a package caught his attention. In response, he smiled, picked up the package and continued on his way. He knocked on the door of their home.
The in-a-wheelchair since the accident and pregnant Wendy had not answered because she was too busy crafting her next story.
Baelfire knocked again.
In response, Wendy rolled into the main area. She opened the door, revealing Baelfire in the process.
"Hi," Baelfire smiled down at her.
In response, Wendy smiled and laughed. "Hi," she smiled again.
"This package is for a…" Baelfire paused as he pretended to the read the package. "Wendy," he read. "Do you know her," he asked.
In response, Wendy, pretending to think, smiled and brought her finger up to her chin. "I do not," she said. "However," she smiled and reached her arm out to take the package. "I can give it to her."
"Great," Baelfire smiled and he handed the package to Wendy. "You know," he smiled, breaking out of character. "They need an author where my travels are taking me. …" He paused. "Well?"
In response, Wendy smiled; however, her smile soon disappeared. She looked down sadly and nodded as if out of understanding something. Wendy looked back up at Baelfire.
"Bae," she said carefully. "You know I'd love to, but I…" She looked down again. "I can't," she finished before she looked back up at him.
In response, Baelfire sadly looked at her.
"Go," Wendy smiled and shooed him away.
"Okay," Baelfire sadly said. "I love you…"
"I love you, too," Wendy sadly said and they kissed.
Baelfire sadly nodded and he left.
"Bye," Wendy said after him.
However, she thought about it for a minute and she decided to go with Baelfire.
