Sonic in Between.

Author's Note: Despite my original plan was to update Sun the Hedgehog next after updating Sonic DX Adventures, writer's block hit me again, so I decided to continue onward with this, and with permission from one of my close friends Assassin's Creed Master, the Sonic team of my Werehog verse are now to meet his Untold Tales' verse team!

Yep, it's time to enter the world of the Untold Tales! But please note that this will not be canon to any of his stories, and all rights to the Untold Tales verse are rightfully owned by Assassin's Creed Master. And also, to avoid confusion, both Sonic teams will have code-names in front of their original names.

For example, Sonic in my Werehog Verse in this world will be Ace-Sonic, while Sonic in the Untold Tales verse will be CM-Sonic.

To the Guest: Good question. I'd say Gaiver is around in his late thirties-early forties. Haven't quite gotten to that point yet. *Sweat drops sheepishly*

Let's get to it!

Summary of Story 14-Part 11: After their adventures in the Boom-Verse and reclaiming the first Prism Shard piece, Sonic and his friends become separated in another alternate world where they now must find each other as well as Dr. Eggman and his cohorts before anymore evil gets their hands on the second shard. The question is, will they be able to succeed on time?

I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog. All rights belong to Sega. I only own the OCs such as Sun the Hedgehog(and his Boom Counterpart), Staria "Star" Amantha, ect, while certain OCs from the Untold Tales are owned by Assassin's Creed Master.

Alternate-Sonic's Multiverse Adventure-P11: The Untold Between Worlds.

The Untold Tales Verse...

The dull grey sky loomed above the planet Earth, snow falling like confetti descending with the heaven's sunlight glitter, bringing back the shine to the world. Yet the cushioned white ground was disrupted by the presence of Sonic(Ace-Sonic), his still form sprawled imprinting the snow lightly covered by the floating flakes, his horrific ride through the Warp Ring having rendered him unconscious.

Flat on his back, the blue hedgehog's mind drifted in the insensible darkness. Yet the chills of ice, solid yet cold substance clung to his body slowly pulled him from his dark prison. Why did it feel wet? He shuddered with his face twisting with great discomfort gripping through his bones.

Ace-Sonic's sensitive ears soon twitched at a familiar soft, gentle voice, laced with concern and fear mixed slowly awakening him. With groans bubbling in his throat, the blue hedgehog's eyes, feeling like lead weights tugging them down, slowly slid open. At first his vision was blurred, but it was the colours of pink and yet which gained his attention, calling out his name with frantic urgency.

"...Sonic...Sonic...Sonic! Sonic, are you okay?"

Finally his vision cleared, his emerald eyes greeting the jade green of his self-proclaimed girlfriend, concern etched on her face as she was kneeling before him, her hands and knees pressed against the cold cushion soaking her gloves.

In the near instant with memories of their separation instantly jolting back, he jolted upright, nearly causing his friend to fall backwards with alarm, his expression shifting to frantic concern. "Amy! Are you okay?"

"Huh? What'dya mean I'm okay? You're the one who was lying in the snow unconscious all of the sudden," 'Amy' tilted her head, perplexed and concerned, her gloved hands now firmly placed on her hips. "What happened? Did you get into another race with Jet? Or was it Eggman again?"

"Wait? Jet who?" Ace-Sonic blinked. "Amy, don't you remember what happened? We're trying to find the Prism Shard, and that energy wave got us all knocked into that Warp Ring."

Pertubation slowly creeping over, CM-Amy gently reached out, her warm, gloved hand cupping Ace-Sonic's right cheek. "Sonic, are you sure you're okay? What are you talking about? Don't you remember who Jet is? What's the last thing you...do remember? Did you...have a bad dream making you lose your memories?"

Something was wrong. Ace-Sonic continued to gaze at his friend with uncertainty, questions whirling thanks to CM-Amy's lack of sense and why she thought he had been dreaming. He opened his mouth to remind her again of their recent adventures, their sudden separation from the quakes within the the Paradox Prism Link Passage only for his words to abandon him as his eyes drifted to her attire.

Shock nearly engulfed him as he took in that she was no longer wearing the attire Nero provided her: In its place was a rose-parka's dress with a pink collar and two white pom-poms dangling on the front, black leggings concealing her legs, with new boots matching her dress, decorated in rose with a white stripe going through the centers, and in place of her gold wrist bands were pink cuffs with a single rose stripe in the middle.

Also, who was this Jet? Was he...a rival to this world's version of Sonic the Hedgehog? An alter-ago to Sam Speed? To...Shadow, even?

Ace-Sonic's heart sank with realization, his mind connecting the dots of the meaning of CM-Amy's words before lowering his gaze. Sadness and guilt gnawed his very soul: This is was not his Amy, but the Amy Rose of the new world he found himself in...alone, without any of his friends.

'If this isn't Amy from my world, then...that means...' Sonic's thought trailed off, distraught gripped at his chest, threatening to close his throat.

...A powerful shock wave, violent as an Earthquake magnitude of 7.8 to rock not only the platform, forcing the Sonic Heroes to stumble in alarm, cries of fear, confusion and shock shifting their focus and balance with yelps comically escaping and flailing their arms towards the giant Warp Ring, but the entire heavy gravity, sending Eris and Nero to lose their balance as well.

"What!?" Eris exclaimed.

"W-What the!?" Knuckles yelped, failing to regain his position as he was the first to slip into the vortex, screaming loudly as he soon vanished into the other world.

He was soon followed by the others, Rouge falling in next while attempting to escape the uncertain ride, Sun's hand clasping tightly around Star's with the tangerine hedgehog unable to pull her and himself free, Amy's pleads for help, her voice bellowing with fear and devastation as she reached out for Sonic calling out his name, and Tails falling head first, his voice carrying the weight of panic upon reaching for his big brother.

"Tails! Amy! Knuckles! Sun! Star! Rouge!" Sonic screamed, devastated as he reached to try and save his friends.

But it was all for naught, as Eris' cries reached out his ears, the plasma energy blowing them away with brutal force, her and Nero's cries and roars of agony enough to drain away their strenghts. Sonic in the meantime struggled against the pull, his legs buckling beneath him at the shock waves with the solid stone tilting like a tabletop wobbling and failing to keep his feet rooted before he too was finally engulfed by the portal itself, his petrified screams fading like whispers of the winds.

'...Am I the only one here? Are all the others...gone?' Ace-Sonic didn't want to believe it. His friends couldn't be dead...they couldn't be!

He tried desperately to fight the tears that were pushing against the water gates. Ace-Sonic then realized that energy wave must have caused been caused by the disruption of the Multiverse, Prism-Sonic's actions may only be getting worse. The blue hedgehog inhaled deeply to restore his composure, shaking his head to clear it from all negative thoughts, processing on what happened to his friends. If they all fell into the same Wrap Ring being distrupted by the strange energy, then maybe they were all here scattered across this new world.

He refused to allow himself to be eaten by his own guilt again. The hero of Mobius fought tooth and nail against his inner turmoil, every essence of his compassion and confidence blanketing him like a cocooned blanket of hope.

'No...They can't be gone. They've gotta be around here somewhere. If I made it here alive, then so did the others. All I need to do is search around this reality until I find them. I won't leave my friends behind!' Ace-Sonic's brows drew together tightly, vowing to find them no matter how long it would take.

With renewed hope and determination, Ace-Sonic cleared away his tears while feeling sheepish for CM-Amy to witness him almost break down.

"Sonic? What's going on?" CM-Amy inquired. Never in her life as she seen Sonic nearly cry before, her face etched with concern.

"Sorry, it's just, well...This is gonna sound totally crazy," The blue hedgehog's hand awkwardly crawled through his quills.

The confusion and concern still continued to mix on the pink hedgehog's expression, and the hero of Mobius, uncertain whether she knew the concept of time travel and other worlds or not, knew explaining and having her understand was a difficult task to achieve. Then again, Ace-Sonic lived for difficult tasks, a thrill adding the icing for an adventure.

"How crazy? What are you talking about?"

Ace-Sonic lightly shrugged. "Would ya' believe me if I told ya' that I'm Sonic from a whole new different reality?"

A silence crept between them, save for the soft whistling of the icy cold wind gently blowing against their quills. CM-Amy's eyebrows inched upward, as she let out a stunned gasp.

"A whole different reality? Like, as in, another timeline?" She questioned, slightly leaning back.

"Pretty much," Ace-Sonic lightly chuckled. "Sorry I mistook you for Amy from my home world. Funny, long story, but the two of us, Tails, Knuckles, Rouge and two other friends are on a journey to try and save the Multiverse."

CM-Amy didn't know what to think at first, her memories rewinding to her own recent adventures, wheeling to several encounters with villains besides Dr. Eggman on daily basis, the familiarity of timelines filling her with discomfort.

"So, I guess that means either Mephiles is back, or he has another counterpart or you're dealing with the Time Eater, right?" She sighed, desponded.

"Huh?" The blue hedgehog blinked, puzzled. "You believe me-Wait, who's Mephiles and what's a Time Eater?"

"You don't know about any of them and you're traveling through the Multiverse?" CM-Amy replied, incredulously.

Ace-Sonic's brows drew together gently, his expression accenting his confusion with another shrug. "I don't know who this Mephiles guy is or what on Mobius is this Time Eater, but I can at least guess they're bad news. What we're dealing with is trying to find shards of a giant reality-morphing crystal we call the Paradox Prism that, well, let's just say, another version of me and your Sonic-Okay, that sounded a little reduntant-accidentally destroyed along with his universe and is now trying to fix up himself."

"Paradox Prism?" She tilted her head slightly, curiously.

The chirps of crickets came in bursts, adding the air of awkwardness between the two hedgehogs. The slight chilling breeze drifted against their fur for Ace-Sonic's sigh gently breathed the steam through the cold air.

Before he could continue, however, the winter's chill crawled through his skin prompting Ace-Sonic, quickly moving his head away to avoid accidentally getting to CM-Amy's face, to sneeze a couple times. He rubbed his nose, suppressing the urge to shudder. "Ugh, first I landed on a beach on an Island in warm weather, I didn't think I'd end up arriving in winter."

Being the compassionate hedgehog she was in spite of her confusion, CM-Amy gently helped Ace-Sonic to his feet, prompting the cobalt teen's gaze to cast upon hers. "I don't know what's going on, Sonic, but we can't have you freeze out here. It's almost below 30 degrees."

Ace-Sonic found himself gently tugged towards, much to his surprise as he had failed to pay fully attention to his surroundings, the nearby cottage similar design to Ace-Amy's house. His emerald eyes shifted from his left, slowly drifting to right, the snow almost making the area nearly unrecognizable with the realization he had stumbled upon the Floral Forest Village. Another area he knew of from his own world, the sense of relief casting its warmth through his heart.

'Well, at least I don't have to worry about being surrounded by water.' Sonic thought, gazing his gratitude to the counterpart of his friend. "Heh, thanks, Amy. I'm surprised that you even believe me, given what's goin' on right now."

A giggle slipped through CM-Amy's mouth as she playfully winked at him. "Well, let's just say that you and your team aren't the only ones coming from another timeline, though in everybody else's case in this world, we didn't have much of a choice to be here. No thanks to Mephiles or his other half."

"Huh?" Confusion and concern made their expression on Ace-Sonic's face once more.

"It's...a long story. We had to face them-twice in both timelines, in fact." CM-Amy's expression withdrew to sadness, a reminder still gnawing her chest like a nightmare refusing to release its clutches.

The moment the two entered the pinkette's home, the noticeable change in warmth inside was a relief upon them both to escape the wintery chills. Seeing CM-Amy slip out of her boots had Ace-Sonic, hesitant with a quick glance at his transformed sneakers, to do the same before she gently gestured him to a nearby armchair. She then grabbed a thermos from the coffee table, pouring a cup of some steaming hot chocolate for the blue hedgehog who thanked her, slowly relishing the warm beverage soothing him.

"Mmmmm...Man, that's delis. I needed that." Ace-Sonic moaned happily, the sweet, warm taste melting on his tongue.

"I have plenty to last through the whole winter. Always good to be prepared." CM-Amy smiled, taking a seat on the couch close by, her own cup cradled in her hands.

Ace-Sonic softly chuckled, the similarity between CM-Amy and Ace-Amy strongly hinted. "That's what Ames would do back at home."

The smile on CM-Amy's expression sent relief down Ace-Sonic's chest. Compared to how Boom-Amy acted on Bygone Island, this version of his self-proclaimed girlfriend was more identical, if not the exact same. The difference, he noted, was maturity glint in her eyes, not even surprising him with her tightening ambush hugs. Questions raced through his mind if something more serious happened here. Was this world's Eggman...similar to his own? Or was he even...worse?

That thought of the more serious and twisted Dr. Eggman, if not in comparison to his brother Julius sent chills down the teenage hero's spine.

"Sonic, you mentioned something about this Paradox Prism, right?" CM-Amy began, earning a nod in response. "And you said that a version of you and Sonic-Er...okay, this is already sounding too confusing. Because now there's two of you again and-"

"Wait, two of me again?" Ace-Sonic blinked, dumbfounded. Suddenly this sounded like a repeat back with Blue Leader's team, only with him and not Knuckles. "You dealt with another Sonic before?"

"Well, sort of. I wasn't there too much, but this happened on your other self's birthday when Dr. Eggman had found the Time Eater as well as bringing his past self into it, trapping all of us in this white world called the White Space. Sonic and his own past self were the only ones unaffected while the rest of us were frozen like statues."

"Well that's...eerie. My birthday isn't until next week," The cobalt speedster slowly blanked, an uneasy look evident on his face. Quickly changing the subject, he lightly shrugged. "But don't worry, the team and I already sorted out in having code names, thanks to Muscle's suggestion."

"Huh? Who's Muscles?" CM-Amy blinked.

"One of Knuckles' counterparts in the last world we've been in. They all live together on this island called Bygone Island-"

"Bygone Island? That's where my friend Sticks lives!" The pink hedgehog perked, once again surprising her hero's counterpart.

"There's a version of Sticks here too?" Ace-Sonic inquired, earning a slow confirmed nod. "Huh, either I didn't get to see her yet back at home, or maybe she's one of those people who don't exist where I come from."

CM-Amy tilted her head slightly while scratching it in confusion. "Guess that kind of answers my other question. So, besides me and I can already tell that Tails would be with you too, who else was with you guys?"

The fifteen year old leaned back slightly. "Well, you're right on the bat about Tails. Knuckles and Rouge were along for the ride, and we have our own new friends we met five months ago: Me and Tails' new brother Sun the Hedgehog, who, uh...Let's just say, is kinda mixture of me, Knucklehead and Shadow, and Staria Amantha, who we call Star for short."

"Sun the Hedgehog and Star? I've never met them before."

"Figured you wouldn't, especially Sun. He's...well, it's super crazy," Ace-Sonic shook his head. "Anyway, we've agreed to come up with code names to avoid confusion with each other, despite that our counterparts at Bygone Island all look different. Like how Knux's is taller and has more muscle, and mine has blue arms."

"...Blue arms?" CM-Amy couldn't even begin to imagine CM-Sonic, or any version of her hero, to have arms matching the rest of his fur, being used to his more tan, pale colouring for years. Her expression almost instantly deflated blankly with a comical sweat drop. "What about me and Tails?"

"Besides the different clothes, you're both the same. At least, that's what I think. They all have different personalities, I'll admit." He chuckled.

Deciding to shelve of her curiosity of the differences later, CM-Amy shook her head. "So, about the code names..."

"Right," Ace-Sonic nodded in agreement taking a sip, relishing the warm sweet liquid. "I'll tell ya about our other selves' code names later, but mine is Speed-Ace. Tails is using his real name right now 'til we come up with somethin' better, Knuckles' is Warrior, Ames is borrowing Star's real name Aria, while she and Sun are keeping their names since it's not needed yet."

"Star's real name is Aria? Then, why is she called Star, then?"

The blue hedgehog lowered his face, suddenly a little uncomfortable. "It's kind of a long story. The reason she got her current name was she was adopted when she was just a baby by a kind guy Professor Amathyst Amanda, who raised her as his daughter all her life. She even came from a secret dimension called the Twilight Cage."

"What!?" CM-Amy cried out, her free hand flying to her mouth. "The Twilight Cage? That place where the Nocturnus Clan are trapped in? You fought those creeps too?"

Ace-Sonic winced at his friend's shocked screech, yet confusion once more took over his features. "Uh...I never heard of the Nocturnus Clan, so, no? Sun's the one who had to rescue her from the bad guys like that creepy Platypus fan of Egghead Dr. Starline, and even the bigger jerks the Deadly Three. Me and the others only helped out a little that time four months ago."

Another awkward silence crept between them, the soft whistles of the wind outside being the only source of sound, neither hedgehogs knowing how to comprehend of the Twilight Cage's mysteries.

Eventually, it was CM-Amy who finally found her voice once more, albeit of hesitation. "This is getting too confusing." Her gloved hands covered her face, questions still blaring like a high-pitched siren on repeat.

"If you think this is weird, Egghead's triple at the island is less fat but more of a clown, he didn't even know what sand was," Ace-Sonic sheepishly giggled.

"That I'm not too surprised," CM-Amy's giggles was as light as a sweet melody of a harp, lightly shaking her head. "Maybe we should worry about sharing each other's stories later and focus on this Paradox Prism you mentioned."

"Agreed," He nodded, exhaling softly as he retraced his mind into words to the pink hedgehog.

Ace-Sonic told her how he and Ace-Shadow both envisioned Prism-Sonic's reckless mistake in shattering his world's Paradox Prism, the creation of a new Multiverse all lacking the blue hero, the two thinking it was Ace-Sonic himself despite the absence of their friends Sun the Hedgehog and Staria "Star" Amantha, their, Ace-Tails, Ace-Amy, Ace-Knuckles and Ace-Rouge all succeeding in ambushing Ace-Eggman only for their Prism to swallow them whole, their fearful meetings against Nero and Eris who saved them, their adventures on Bygone Island with the Boom-Team Sonic against Ace-Eggman and Boom-Eggman, the eventually finding the shard and separation in this world.

"...And that's the story so far," Ace-Sonic concluded. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to have seen anything unusual besides me crash landing, would ya?"

CM-Amy softly hummed thoughtfully, briefly closing her eyes while retracing her mind prior to Ace-Sonic's unexpected arrival. Now that he mentioned it, on her way home from Station Square after shopping for supplies, she and quite a few citizens did catch a glimpse of something strange. The pinkette had at first feared it was another one of Ace-Eggman's plots, but the absence of his gigantuan airships had put those fears to rest, so she had dismissed it as her imagination.

"Now that you mention it, I did see some strange light appear in the sky, but it was too cloudy to see. I thought it was Eggman attacking, but there was no sign of his Egg Carrier, or whatever he would use, or even his robots. There were other six beams too, but they were kind of faint and fell across the sky." She answered.

A look of relief washed over Ace-Sonic's features, the realization dawning with renewed hope. "That's gotta be the others! They're around here somewhere! It was a Warp Ring."

"So that means my counterpart and the others are all across here too." CM-Amy's beamed.

The blue hedgehog nodded, a grin pinching his lips as he downed the rest of his beverage before leaping to his feet. "Yep! And since I know Floral Forest Village, Station Square and this whole region like the back of my hand-Or at least, my world's version of them-and if I know them, we'll meet up in no time. Thanks, Amy! I owe ya'."

Ace-Sonic was about to speed his way out when CM-Amy's sudden tight grip on his wrist halted him in place, causing the blue hedgehog to swiftly gaze at her, startled.

"Now, where do you think you're going, all by yourself, hm?" She discreetly lowered her eyelids, a playful glint in her emerald orbs.

Now suddenly nervous, fearing for this Amy's uncomfortable hugs at any moment's chance, Ace-Sonic leaned slightly away with a sweat drop. "Uh...I-If this is a date, then you're gonna have to make a rain check with Sonic, 'cause I can't stay here, and I wouldn't wanna put you in danger."

CM-Amy's 'evil' features instantly melted away, giggling away over the frightened look on Ace-Sonic's face. "Oh, Sonic-I mean, Speed-Ace! It's nothing like that! And I deeply appreciate you don't want me to get hurt, because you're the same as Sonic, but I'm going with you to find them. It never hurts to have two heads during this search, right? Besides, it'll take more than Eggman and any other bad guy to get in my way! When they mess with one of us, they mess with all of us."

Ace-Sonic was left stunned at CM-Amy's speech, unable to help wonder if something far more dangerous than Eggman had left a change within her. Perhaps this Time Eater, Mephiles and this Nocturnus Clan had caused more emotional damage to his own counterpart as well as their friends. But Ace-Sonic knew, more than ever, every timeline was different. Because this version of his self-proclaimed girlfriend was much more...mature, willing to help for the sake of friendship and not for pursuing of un-dying love. Given their conversation, he even felt far more comfortable, not once had she spoken of Ace-Amy's romantic relationship with him-or lack thereof.

Even though he was uneasy in putting CM-Amy in harm's way, one look at her expression instantly told Ace-Sonic her mind was firmly made up. Finally, his lips stretched into a smile.

"You win," He finally conceded, his smirk thinning once more. "Well then, shall we get goin'?"

"The day's still young! Why don't we check in on Tails, and with any luck, Sonic might be there too?" CM-Amy playfully winked.

The hedgehog nodded in agreement, having prepared for his eventual meeting with CM-Sonic sooner or later. The reaction of his counterpart, that Ace-Sonic knew, may be a bit of a shock. Then again, given how CM-Sonic had teamed up with his past-self once against a time-eating monster, the hero of Mobius felt that it may be more of curiosity. Unlike Boom-Sonic, CM-Amy's relationship with his counterpart may not be as dreadful this time.

'Then again,' He thought, a little crestfallen. 'I can't get overly confident and if this Mephillapines, or whatever his name is, managed to crawl into their lives and even change this Amy, then I'd better be careful. I just hope this world's Sonic isn't super cocky like Blue Leader...Or me.'

Quickly shaking away those thoughts to the back of his mind, Ace-Sonic returned his usual grin, teasingly gesturing to the door. "After you, ma'am."

CM-Amy's cheeks grew hot over such unexpected invitation, feeling her stomach flutter butterflies in spite of acknowledging the cobalt hero's playfulness, with her hand failing to cover her giggles.

'He is definitely Sonic from another dimension.' She thought. It was a relief knowing there was not much difference between the two blue heroes, each sharing the perks of kindness and charming attitude, despite having long pushed back her overwhelming persued for winning CM-Sonic's affections.

Could this mean that Ace-Sonic's relationship with Ace-Amy was similar?

Shelving her curiosity for later, CM-Amy took the lead to brave the sub-zero temperatures once more, Ace-Sonic close behind as they redonned their boots. The instant chill hit them to their bones, but Ace-Sonic hugged his arms beneath her knees, his free hand firmly yet gently gripping her shoulder to ensure she would be safe, warm and comfortable.

Once he knew CM-Amy was safely secured, Ace-Sonic trusted his friend's directions, pumping his legs in acceleration before taking off through the Floral Forest, their sights on the Mystic Ruins to visit CM-Tails and perhaps CM-Sonic.

Hope gripped at Ace-Sonic's heart, silently pleading for his own friends' safety with a vow to reunite with them, to continue their quest in saving the Multiverse...

Maybe Ace-Shadow may be here in this world too. At least, that's what the cobalt teen hoped.

The moment Ace-Sonic neared the familiar Wooden station, a mirror image once more leaving waves of homesickness in his stomach, the low, rumbling roars of engines in the air caught his and CM-Amy's attentions, forcing the blue hedgehog to screech to a halt, leaving dust and snow dissipating in his wake.

He and his friend simultaneously gazed at the sky with collective gasps of horror at the sight of a horrifically familiar monstery blocking out the Sun's futile attempts in peering through the thick clouds: The hawk-shaped frame of metal, cold and unforgiving, soared overhead towards the towering skyscrapers distant from where the hedgehogs stood.

"It's Eggman!" CM-Amy exclaimed. "But, which one is it?"

Ace-Sonic's eyes narrowed, uncertain whether it was Ace-Eggman already attacking, or it was simply CM-Eggman's schemes of conquering this world. Or perhaps the two Eggmen, as the former did with his Boom-Counterpart, were in alliance prior to the Ace-Sonic Heroes' awakening and reunion with Eris and Nero.

'Either way, there's no way any Egghead is gonna be building his stupid Empire. Not by a long shot!' He thought, his eyes flaring as he took the initiative.

"Guess we're about to find out, 'cause any Eggman is still a rotten egg! Hang on!" Ace-Sonic bent slightly lower, his legs pressurizing energy with a powerful boost, launching himself and CM-Amy, who's startled squeak escaped her mouth, past the Train Station, startling the Conductor who etched a yelp out of the way to avoid getting run over.

The hero of Mobius was ready to take action once more, a challenge coursing anderaline through his heart.

Earlier...Around the same time as Ace-Sonic's awakening...

A streak of blue through the snow-covered Mystic Ruins, leaving behind a cloud of snow behind, CM-Sonic the Hedgehog, unbeknownst to him, was exactly the same in appearance of Ace-Sonic in the latter's world prior to protecting the Paradox Prism, carefully trended through the icy cold ground, lowering his speed to avoid in taking an unexpected trip in the snow itself.

CM-Sonic loved passing through here, the familiar peace Mother Nature brought, be it the summer, warm days, the beautiful, fresh springs of green, the cooling autumm of leaves fading to red, orange and yellow, or winter days of the white snow glittering under the sun's bright glow as though it was smiling upon the Earth. As of now, he was on his way to visit his best friend CM-Tails, having caught sight of the strange, unusual portal materializing in the sky earlier.

At first the hedgehog was unsure whether it was another one of Eggman's latest schemes, or a new enemy had come to invade his world. Yet while the streaks of multi-colours did catch his attention, CM-Sonic's suspicions were cast away. It didn't stop him from investigating, though. So, he decided to check in with his younger brother's surveillance.

"Hm?" CM-Sonic blinked when his eyes caught something ahead of him, pushing his legs to cease his running as his sneakers muffled to a stop against the snow. "What the?"

His emerald orbs soon shrank with his breath caught in his throat at what he saw: Two figures lying lifelessly in the snow. One a familiar pink hedgehog, her head tilted to the side and lack of her usual winter clothes, and the other...all CM-Sonic saw was a pair of red legs sticking upward from the ground-and where those Knuckles' Extreme Gear boots?

"Amy? Knuckles?" CM-Sonic softly gasped, concern and confusion mixing across his features as he immediately dashed to his unconscious friends, mistaking the forms of Ace-Amy and Ace-Knuckles as their counterparts.

Bending on both knees while ignoring the bitter cold from the ground, the blue hedgehog gently looped his arms around his self-proclaimed girlfriend, carefully shaking her. "Amy? Amy, wake up! Are you okay? C'mon, pull yourself together!"

To his greatest relief, a soft moan greeted his sensitive ears as Ace-Amy's eyelids twitched ever so slightly, slowly sliding to reveal her jade eyes. Disoriated upon the horrible ride through the Warp Ring, the pink hedgehog's blurred vision soon returned to focus, the gentle, concerned yet unmistakable voice owned by her blue hero accompining the form of him hovering above her.

"...S-Sonic?" Ace-Amy weakly murmured, right as memories then came flooding back, etching a gasp of alarm. Now she remembered! That strange energy wave causing her to stumble into the portal, fear and gravity gripping her as she cried for Ace-Sonic to save her, his desperate expression as he strained to reach out haunting her like a terrible dream.

Ace-Amy immediately gripped the blue hero, her arms tightening around his torso while CM-Sonic winced with discomfort, feeling his bones groan against her strength. What in the world has gotten into her? First he finds her unconscious with new, stylish clothes that were inapproprite against winter, now she's back as her usual, overly love-bearing self prior to the Eggman Empire War?

"Oh, Sonic! I knew you'd come!" She nuzzled her face against his chest, tears threatening to escape the floodgates. "It was so horrible! Just when we were falling into that Warp Hole to find another Prism Shard and Eggman, for a moment there I thought I'd never see you again!"

"A-Amy, take it easy...!" CM-Sonic grunted, his voice strained while struggling to maneuver Ace-Amy to loosen up as his brows drew together gently, his expression accenting his confusion. "What're you talking about? What Warp Hole? And, what's with the new duds? No offense, and it looks pretty cool, but don'tcha think it's a wee bit early for Spring?"

Now being her turn to develop confusion, the pink hedgehog opened her mouth to retort only for her words to die out, casting her gaze upon this Sonic more closely. While unlike Boom-Sonic, CM-Sonic was an identical mirror image of her dearly beloved hero, especially with the exact same red and white sneakers and usual gloves Ace-Sonic wore all the time prior to their transportation to Eris and Nero's domain, the lack of the Sea Mask also being another evident confirmation making her realize now her mistake.

With another gasp escaping, Ace-Amy leaned back, her hands flying to her mouth. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I thought you were Sonic-well, my Sonic, I-I mean..." She released another groan, her entire face slipping into her gloves. "Oooh! This is so embarrassing!"

"Uhhhh...?" CM-Sonic's face faltered blankly, inscrutable. What in the world was going on here? Warp Hole? Prism Shard? New clothes and...her Sonic?

It was then that the blue hedgehog began to slowly realize, with further confusion despite his experiences not too long ago, what his friend was saying and soon his expression changed to slight understanding.

"Okay, let's...clear things up a bit. Are you tryin' to say that you came from another timeline or dimension or somethin'?" CM-Sonic gently placed his hand on his head, his free hand lightly shaking in an attempt to clear up the confusion.

"Huh? You mean...something like this happened to you before?"

"Guess you could say that. A few times, long story," He lightly shrugged, his attention shifting to the sudden movement of the red legs now beginning to flail. "And if you're here with the new duds, that must be Knucklehead from your world too, right?"

Ace-Amy's jade pupils followed CM-Sonic's, wincing with sympathy as Ace-Knuckles' frustrated growls muffled deep in the snow. The two hedgehogs could only watch with mixed expressions of concern and amusement as the echidna's feet planted in the ground. After several attempts, finally with a comical *Pop!*, the teenage guardian fell back with a groan.

"Ow!" Ace-Knuckles grunted, shaking his head to rid the dizziness, using his free arm to push himself upright. "Grrr...The sooner we find all of that stupid Prism and get back home, the better! I wish I could clobber that Prism-Sonic for his stupidity...!"

As Ace-Knuckles' other hand rubbed his head, his face soon twisted to confusion with feeling air above it, the surrisem of his hat's absence almost instantly catching him off guard. "Huh? Where'd my hat go?"

"Lookin' for this, Knux?"

CM-Sonic's voice, exactly identical to that of Ace-Sonic, mischeviousy drawled through the soft whispers like a summoning of an evil spirit, catching the echidna's attention to see the blue hedgehog, who had spotted said accessory on the ground, delicately holding it with two gloved fingers. Knuckles' dismay only creaked further at the Chesire cat grin smearing CM-Sonic's muzzle.

"You really have a thing for hats, don'tcha, o'l buddy?" CM-Sonic couldn't stop the laughter bubbling in his throat threatening to burst free.

"Very funny," Ace-Knuckles responded drily, standing with ease. "Hand it over, Sonic. We have to find the others and-"

"Wait, Knuckles," Ace-Amy quickly intervened. "He's Sonic, but he's of this world. He doesn't even know what's going on, other than that we're from another world."

The wisps of the wind quickly became the only source of sound through the Mystic Ruins, the heavy silence graviting between all three of them as Ace-Knuckles' blank expression solely gazed at Amy, before his violet eyes trailed to CM-Sonic, one arm lightly shrugging in return from the cobalt hero. While an exact mirror image of Ace-Sonic, Ace-Knuckles' finally took notice of the slight difference of appearances: Like Ace-Sonic before this adventure immensed, the sneakers were unmistakable, and the gloves were exactly the same as well.

And with the lack of the Sea Mask was another dead giveaway.

"...You don't look different compared to our Sonic. You're exactly like him." Ace-Knuckles frowned, his arms crossed.

Rather than retort in offense, CM-Sonic returned the response with his signature grin. "And you're the mirror-image of the Knucklehead I know. If I didn't know any better, you could pass on as his twin brother."

"What was that!?" Great, this is definitely like Ace-Sonic, only much more of his grin signature self prior to Eggman's attempts to control Dark Gaia. Chaos, this was going to be a nightmare all over again.

Struggling to keep his laughter at bay, the blue hero hunched forward, tossing Knuckles' hat to him, his smirk still coated like paint drying under the sun's warmth. "Yeah, you're definitely just like that Knucklehead too. I don't know if I'd met a version of you that's taller or not."

It took a lot of inner strength to repel his desire to wipe the smirk off of the hedgehog's face, as Ace-Knuckles heaved a heavy sigh, his breath visible in the cold air. "Unfortunately, I did, and he's even stupider than Eggman's robot Cubot."

Of all the things CM-Sonic was expecting to hear, the knowledge of a twice as gullible version of his former rival was not among them. The hedgehog's eyelids slowly blinked as his amused expression faded to great confusion.

"What about his version of me?" CM-Sonic knew this was one of those extremely rare times he would be regretting in ever finding out, but his curiosity was evident.

Fortunately, Ace-Amy saved her current companion of satisfying with another horde of embarrassment. "Unlike our Sonic who is identical to you, the one we met yesterday in his world is a little bit taller and actually has blue arms."

"Blue arms?" The speedster repeated. Well, that was different. He thought of what he would look like with blue arms, the image of himself posing heroic had him torn between being impressed and a bit disturbed. "Guess either that guy was born with it or he had a second growth of fur covering. And to think I used to have black eyes instead of green like my past self did."

The two companions simultaneously blinked, exchanging a perplexed glance. Since when did CM-Sonic have black pupils before they changed to his emerald colouring? Was it even possible for it to happen? Their minds flowed with theories of the Chaos Emeralds being the possible results of the Chaos Energy exposure.

"Anyway," CM-Sonic, despite curiously wondering more of other possible realities, returned to the main manner. "Ames here told me that you guys and my counterpart you know were goin' after this Prism shard or somethin', and you all fell into this Warp Hole thingy, right? What's this all about?"

Ace-Amy and Ace-Knuckles exchanged an uncertain gaze, in spite that any version of Sonic thus far was trust worthy, the comfort of knowing that CM-Sonic too was a hero, was enough for the pink hedgehog to nod at the Guardian reassuringly.

"It's a very long story, but, have you heard of the Paradox Prism?" She gently tilted her head.

CM-Sonic hummed, one hand scratching at his quills for any recollection for such a thing, only shaking his head apologetically moments later. "Nope, doesn't ring a bell."

"Why am I not surprised?" Ace-Knuckles groaned with frustration, facepalming himself. Of course CM-Sonic wouldn't have a clue about the Prism either!

"To put it simply, the Paradox Prism is a giant crystal that holds realities in balance, each dimension secretly holding one somewhere hidden. If any attempt to use it, it will bend reality into their will." Ace-Amy lightly shrugged.

The blue hedgehog rolled his eyes. "Let me guess, Egghead in your world tried to use it to change it where there's no Sonic and he builds his stupid Empire junk, right? At least your version of Baldy McNosehair didn't find a giant Time Eating monster that the one here tried to use, on my birthday, I should add."

"I'd say that's putting it simply, but yeah, pretty much," Ace-Knuckles sighed, exasperated. "We tried stopping him from taking it without destroying the Prism, because if it is, it will destroy reality and shatter it."

"Well that's...eerie," CM-Sonic winced, greatly concerned of what this Paradox Prism's power was truly capable of. "Your world hasn't been destroyed, has it?"

"Thankfully, no. But our Prism did swallow us up and-"

Before Ace-Amy could finish, the deafening roar of engines surging from above forced her and the boys to all painfully clutch their ears, screaming with an omnious shadow blocking out the sun's already weak attempts to break through the barrier of the winter clouds. The trio all collectively gazed upward with gasps escaping their mouths as the sight of a massive, monstry form of a giant, familiarity Hawk-shaped robot soaring across the sky, disappating in the distance.

"It's Eggman!" CM-Sonic grunted, clenching his teeth.

"Of this world? Or ours?" Ace-Amy slightly trembled, her heart racing over memories. Uncertain of the blue hedgehog's past endevours, she and the echidna recognized the form of the Egg Hawk in the time of Metal Sonic's regime of terror.

"Who cares which one it is?" Ace-Knuckles growled, banging his fists together. "That stupid Egg Hawk is gonna be junk heap!"

CM-Sonic grinned in agreement, peering over his shoulder with a thumbs up. "Now you're speakin' my language! Who's up in cracking some Egghead?"

The red echidna mirrored the hedgehog's grin, pumping his fist, while Ace-Amy's eyes twinkled mischeviously, shelving her fears far into her mind's depths with great courage embracing the pinkette's pure soul. A flick of her wrist materialized her Piko Piko Hammer within her grasp with a tightening grip, prompty ignoring the bitter chills of the winds and icy flakes threatening to decrease her blood's warmth.

"I'm so gonna give all Eggman a good clobbering for life!" The pink hedgehog twirled her weapon with two fingers, her strength easily almost rivalling to Ace-Knuckles.

"Alright!" CM-Sonic cackled, grasping both Ace-Knuckles' left wrist in his right gloved hand, and Ace-Amy's right wrist with his left, his legs spinning into red discs. "Here we go! All board the Sonic Express. Please keep your hands and legs inside the cart at all times."

Ace-Knuckles grumbled, a large sweat drop creaking his temple. Annnnnd there goes his head...and his lunch.

Without any further delay, CM-Sonic bolted behind the Egg Hawk's trail, screams from his companions drowned by the roars of his speed, his feet only barely touching the snow, thankfully not has deep or thick as weeks ago against the ferocious snow storm he and CM-Tails endured that dreadful, dark night.

The time of Mephiles' arrival of this timeline.

"Well, at least we landed in a place more familiar, but did it have to be in the middle of the freezing, sub-zero killer fridge-zone?" Sun, strolling alongside Star across the snow-covered pavement in Station Square, grumbled in irritation.

Having awoken with the absence of their friends, right in the middle of the road and nearly run over by incoming traffic before the two hedgehogs darted to safety with angry drivers shouting at them to be more careful, they almost immediately began their search through the city. They already knew they were in another alternate reality, confusion among the citizens with no recollection of their presence confirming their suspicions, but the biggest challenge now was to find Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Rouge, and, even with changes being slim, they remained hopeful to locate Shadow as well.

"Every timeline is different, Sun," Star clarified, a soft smile betraying her faux exasperation. "You can't expect our arrival to be in every spring or summer."

The former Werehog rolled his eyes, hugging himself against the freezing temperatures. "Yeah, well, you know me. I hate the cold. I wish Nero could've provided us with automatic temperature gears to fit the environment or something."

Both friends fell into a comfortable silence, well, as comforting as one could get, one hedgehog keeping her eyes peeled through the blustering activity, scanning for any traces of familiar faces of their group, the other busying attempting to prevent ice freezing his fur off. Decorations glittered the lamp poles, festive banners being carefully removed from higher buildings and malls, it didn't take Sun and Star much to figure they arrived sometime after Christmas, everyone already finishing up another year of fun and gatherings.

"Huh, is this what Christmas is like? All of the decorations and stuff Amy talked about?" The tangerine hedgehog glanced around, placing one hand on his hip. "Looks mostly green and red to me."

"That's just the tip of the ice burg, Sun-no pun intended. Every year, everyone would gather to enjoy the festivities of Christmas, from getting presents, to playing games, and more importantly, spending time together with your friends and families." Star shrugged, the sense of warmth of familiarity filling her with joy.

Oh, she couldn't wait to spend her first Christmas with Sun and all of their friends back home! It'll be the best one yet!

"Don't we usually hang out all the time anyway?" Sun shrugged, bewildered. Really, all of this conversation about Christmas and Birthdays really made him feel like a fish fresh out of the water...

Or in his case, a hedgehog fresh out of another's quills.

'Okay, that was seriously reductant.' He deadpanned, realizing the stupidity of that thought, his gaze turned to the viewers/readers, as though asking 'Why did I think of that?' while breaking the fourth wall.

His very close friend giggled, shoving at the orange Mobian's shoulder lightly. "Oh, don't be such a grouch! You'll understand when the time comes."

Point taken. Sun shook his head lightly, a little sheepish over his little understanding for such special occasions. "Yeah, well, we still gotta get through Sonic's birthday, and that's in less than one week, for cryin' out loud."

Before Star could playfully retort over his claim despite his obvious point, the roar of engines made her words die on her tongue, a gasp of alarm prompting both friends and all of the ceasing citizens to collectively shift their attention skyward. Their eyes widened with horror at the monstery size of the Egg Hawk diving to the streets below. Pesterians soon fleed in terror, screams echoing across the cold winds, Sun instinctly wrapping his arms around his lover to shield her from the gusts threatening to knock them off their feet.

The massive robot soon hovered to a halt, the ominous, annoying laughter echoing from the cockpit. "Heheheheheheh! Solutations, Station Square! I hope you enjoyed their restful festive holidays, because it will certainly be your last! I'm back, and this time you will all obey my commands!"

"Ugh! Seriously?" Sun slapped his hand against his temple, massaging it to ease the throbbing headache. "I don't care if this is our Egghead or this world's version, you have gotta be kidding me."

"We can't let Eggman destroy the city! Even if he is from our world or not, he's still evil!" Star cried out worriedly.

The orange hedgehog nodded, cracking his knuckles with preparations. "Couldn't have said it better myself, Star. I need to let out my stress on Buttnik anyway!"

Exchanging a nod of agreement, the lavender hedgehog withdrew her grapple hooks, tightening her grip on the handles. "Let's go!"

They both spun their gazes upon the monsterous machine once more, as the Egg Hawk's hatch slid open, with a cannon of sorts extended with the giant robot's wing's cutting through the chilling winds like knives. The evil scientist in the cockpit grinned, locking in on the nearest building to expose his ultimate power of triumpth. This is what he has been waiting for, and despite knowing it wouldn't take long before Sonic would arrive, this time Dr. Eggman was confident the blue pest would be crushed before he could even dart heroically forward.

"Once I trash Station Square into rubble, I'll soon be rid of Sonic and all of his little friends, and the Chaos Emeralds will be within my grasp! Bwahahahahaha! And then my Eggman Empire will soon return to its former glory, far greater than ever before!" The evil scientist, being CM-Eggman, bellowed stretching his arms outward.

"Don't count on it!"

"Hm-WAH!" CM-Eggman yelped as he found himself nearly falling out of his seat, the Egg Hawk strangely yet violently tilting to the side when an orange blur collided heavily against the metal, the impact creating a deep dent within the left side.

As CM-Eggman quickly struggled to regain controls, the furious snarl escaping his gritted teeth, his gaze caught the blur uncurl itself revealing an unfamiliar tangerine hedgehog who returned the glare, determination etched on his face.

"Sweet Mother Robotnik!" The evil doctor gaped, bewildered. That orange rodent...He was...very identical to Sonic!

The very quills very alike of the blue blur's, the end tips darkened similarity to Sonic's whitened tips at the times the hedgehog was cursed by Dark Gaia's energy to become a Werehog every sunset, the uncanny mirror image of his face the way of Shadow's is, only his eyes were the same violet as Knuckles...where in Earth's name did this rodent come from?

Sun landed with his feet and one hand against the pavement, his landing softened with the thin layer of snow as Star quickly stood by his side, the two close friends leering angrily at their common enemy. Ace-Eggman or CM-Eggman, both knew they would not stop until he was defeated. The fate of Station Square depended on them until either one of Sonic would arrive.

"I don't know what you're up to, but if you think you're going to be trashing this whole city, think again!" Sun declared.

"Oh yeah?" CM-Eggman questioned darkly. "And who are you, you spiky-mango?"

Okay, so this is definitely not Ace-Eggman. That answered the former Werehog's unspoken question. The hedgehog scoffed, his fists clenched so tightly he nearly made his hands bleed with frustration. "Someone you're about to hate in the next micro seconds, Ro-butt-nik!"

CM-Eggman's anger esculated at the hedgehog's taunt. "I hate you already...!" How dare this brat mispronounce his original name purposely!? "In that case, you'll regret in messing with me, you Orange-Sonic wanna-be! FIRE!"

The laser of the cannon soon shot out at the two hedgehogs, who simultaneously evaded the attack as the blast shattered the concrete where they stood, rubble and snow exploding and flying in every direction with near-massive jolts causing the streets to tremble. Sun didn't wait for another second, firing his Grapple Hook to the closest lamp pole, the hook withdrawing him with the near-paralleled ease before he grasped the cold metal, whirling for increase speed for another surprise attack.

Star, ever the graceful gymnastic and material artist, ascended her way along the nearby building before releasing her hooks' grip from the banner poles, her right leg stretched with a loud yell. Her feet's strength nearly matched that of Sonic's, with such force of her kicks denting the cannon's pipe violently, loud metal screeching with protesting groans and blocking out any more lasers, resulting an overheat of being locked and self-destructing with a shock wave rocking the air and streets below.

"GAH! The cannon is destroyed!" CM-Eggman exclaimed, struggling with the controls with his robot's altitude dropping, only to unmanly scream when Sun suddenly appeared in his view, the heated glare on the new hedgehog's face fiercely enough to set his heart alight on fire. "How'd you get here so quickly?"

The former Sonic Clone scoffed, his voice swimming with sarcasm. "Some of us hedgehogs have wings."

Sun's fist coiled tightly and with the might of a deadly boulder, his punch shattered the windscreen, the force gusting winds knocking CM-Eggman off his seat and sent him flying against the wall screaming. His work wasn't gone, however, the orange hedgehog jumped inside the cockpit, letting loose his frustration on the dashboard relentlessly, roaring with determination to smash everything Ro-butt-nik related.

"Stop that, you crazy hedgehog!" The evil scientist protested, his face mixed with fear and fury. "You're like a combination of Shadow and Knuckles with Sonic's appearance!"

The former Werehog pointly ignored the mad doctor's screaming, his focus solely in completing his task until, sparks and wires everywhere from his wrath, causading his fists in a flurry of punches like Knuckles on a rampage. Deciding that he had enough as he and CM-Eggman felt the Egg Hawk descending by gravity's pull, Sun gave the latter a quick last glance before jumping out for safety, his arms and legs spread similar to Sonic's with the snow once again cushioning his landing, and Star joining him moments afterward.

"Huh, that's supposed to be the Egg Hawk's might?" Sun shook his head, disappointed of how easy the fight was. "I expected it to be harder than that."

Star would've agreed with her boyfriend's statement, yet the sense of unease settled in her stomach, her brows narrowing tightly. Something was wrong. Even with this world's version of Eggman never having met their counterparts, should they have any within this timeline, the fight ended far too quickly for her liking.

"I don't think the fight's over yet, Sun," She stepped closer to his side with caution. "It's too easy, even for Eggman's standards."

Unfortunately, the lavender hedgehog's fears quickly became a reality, as the metal across the Egg Hawk's frame shed away, descending like torn newspaper, revealing the inner, true monstery of the terror CM-Eggman brought upon Station Square: the wings and talons twisted into muscular arms, the bright, lime green colouring on the upper shoulders with black hands, huge legs emerging from the lower body, extending with a large, transformer-esque head. The newly-transformed giant robot, extending new, bat-like wings, descended, its massive feet trembling the earth at its touch, nearly knocking everyone off their balance.

"...Of course he'd do that," Sun said drily, unintimidated. "Why am I not surprised?"

"Bwahahahaha!" Eggman's obnoxious cackle echoed. "You fools really didn't think I wouldn't come unprepared, did you? My Egg Hawk was just a disguise made to trick Sonic to unravel my true creation! Meet the most Infinite Weapon beyond your worst nightmares! This robot is unstoppable, unbeatable, the greatest, most powerful, and deadliest of all! The Ultromorpus!

Sun could only raise an eyebrow, his hand placed on his hip with skeptisim. "Ultromorpus? That's even more ridiculous and stupid than the Egg Hawk, or any other pieces of junk you made."

While Sun and Star were facing the ultimate threat and terror of the Ultromorpus, scarlet sneakers barely even touched the city's pavement as Ace-Sonic darted a sharp turn around a corner, CM-Amy still securely in his arms until their eyes collectively widened with gasps of shock echoing loudly. The blue hedgehog forced himself to a halt, his sneakers nearly sparking with the friction.

Ace-Sonic and CM-Amy could only gaze with shock and horror, cries of civilians filling their ears with many running away with terror.

"Whoa! That's the Ultromorpus me and Knux faced last month in Central City!" The blue hedgehog sweat dropped, raising an eyebrow at the irony of the situation. "Or at least, this world's version of it. Looks exactly the same as Egghead's lame new toy."

"You mean Eggman in your world built this thing too?" CM-Amy's eyes widened incredulously, disbelief mounting her face.

Ace-Sonic nodded. "Yep, pretty weird coincidence, huh?"

The loud rumble caught their attention once more, the ground trembling beneath their feet. The two hedgehogs shifted upward as the CM-Ultromorpus stomped forward, its hands raised for a strike and destruction under CM-Eggman's command. The cobalt teen's eyes narrowed, determination surging through his chest. He didn't care if this was Ace-Eggman or CM-Eggman: There was no way in a million years Ace-Sonic was going to let the evil scientist trash Station Square into rubble.

As much as he didn't want to put CM-Amy in harms way, her fierce gaze told him she wasn't going to stand by idling but the terrifying thought of allowing her to accompany him against this metal monster made him struggle.

"I'm gonna distract that toy," He finally grunted. "Amy, you make sure to get as many people out of line of fire!"

To his greatest surprise and relief, CM-Amy firmly nodded, her eyes steeling with resolve as she knew, in spite of her concerns for Ace-Sonic's well-being, even this robot was out of her league, but held her faith at the counterpart of her hero. No matter what universe, she knew that all Sonics would be victorious.

The fact Ace-Sonic had put his trust in her, the safety of everyone in the city being the top priority was a mission CM-Amy refused to decline.

"You got it, Speed-Ace!"

Nodding with appreciation after recovering from his shock, the hero of Mobius dashed through the city once more, the anderaline coursing through his veins. His heart raced with anticipation of the huge battle yet to come, his strong arms securing CM-Amy's safety and comfort, his feet barely even touching the black ice threatening to make him slip.

'Watch out, Eggman, whatever version you are!' Ace-Sonic thought, his brows drawn together tightly. 'I'm comin' right at ya!'

He sent out a silent prayer for his friends to be safe, vowing to find them the sooner CM-Eggman's latest plot was foiled once more.

To be Continued!

A/N: Sorry to end this chapter short and the lack of the others meeting their counterparts and whatnot, but I decided to save those ideas as well as the big battle against CM-Eggman's robot for the next part. *Sweat drops sheepishly*

The Ultromorpus is based on the giant robot in the IDW one-shot story Sonic's 900th Adventure, as the original idea was for the heroes to face against the Egg Hawk, but then I decided to change it to something more different.

Big shout out and thanks to Assassin's Creed Master for allowing me to share his story's verse for this arc! *Winks happily* Hopefully I'll be able to update this again soon, yet I'm not sure at this stage as I have busy weeks ahead, plus my birthday coming up as well as Father's Day a day beforehand.

See you later!
