Chapter 1 - Being in Another World
?: Big brother! Wake up! Wake up!
Exclaimed a voice, revealing to be a little girl. She has long, black hair tied up in a ponytail with a white ribbon (a little portion of hair covered her hair), purple eyes, light dark skin and freckles on her face. She was wearing a white easy street crop pullover, red denim low rise Cargo mini skirt and black sneaker shoes. Besides her, there was a pink messenger bag with some heart pins. This little girl is Freya Silvermoon.
Freya was trying to wake up a boy, who was her older brother. The boy has short, brown hair and light dark skin. He was wearing a black half-open sweatshirt with a red shirt underneath with an image of a red dragon, red shoes and black shorts. He was also wearing a black beanie hat. Besides him there was a black backpack with some pins (Master Ball, A Hydreigon, Star, Sun). This boy is Daryl Silvermoon.
The boy didn't wake up, he just grumbled. Freya started to get a bit worried and she started to shake him a little. Finally, Daryl regained consciousness and he slowly opened his eyes, revealing to be purple. He turned his head to see his little sister, who was happy to see Daryl awake. Freya jumped on her older brother, hugging him tightly.
Freya: Big brother! You're awake!
Daryl: Urgh… Freya. What happened? Where are we?
Freya: I-I don't know. I think we are in some kind of forest.
Daryl: Wait, where is Athena?
[INTRO]
Daryl: Freya, do you know where is Athena?
Freya: I don't know. I think she's probably somewhere these woods.
Daryl got up, then he remembered something and his eyes widened.
Daryl: Wait! Where is Hydreigon?! And what about Zorua?!
Freya: Zorua is right here.
Freya pointed to a bush and from it a black fox came out. It was Zorua, Freya's Pokémon partner. Zorua yapped in happiness.
Daryl: Oh thank Arceus. But what about Hydreigon?
Freya: I sent Hydreigon to find Athena. He'll be back in any minutes.
Daryl sighed in relief. Then, the two siblings heard something. They turned their head to see a dragon flying towards them. It was Hydreigon. On his back, there was someone, a girl.
The girl has long, straight, brown hair with blonde highlights, blue eyes and light skin. She was wearing a light green turtleneck, light blue jeans and brown Klayton boot. On her left shoulder there was a little yellow rodent, while on her right shoulder there was a green messenger bag. This girl was Athena Hirano.
Hydreigon stopped its tracks, while Athen hopped off from Hydreigon. The two siblings walked towards Athena and they hugged.
Athena: I'm so glad to see that you're okay. I got worried when I didn't see you, but then I was happy when I saw Hydreigon and he took me where you guys were.
Daryl: I'm glad to hear it. I'm happy to see you, Athena. I'm also happy to see you too, Hydreigon.
Said Daryl as he petted the Brutal Pokémon, which he enjoyed.
Athena: Do you guys have any idea where are we and how did we get here?
Freya: No, all we know we are in some kind a forest, nothing else. My mind is a little dizzy.
Daryl: Last thing that I remembered is that we were at Sinnoh to meet Cynthia, then all of sudden we got teleported here.
Athena: Now that you mentioned it, I think I remember something, like I saw a portal.
Freya: I remember too!
Athena: Do you guys think what I think?
Daryl: Yes. It was probably a Wormhole Portal.
Freya: Wait… If we're probably in another world, how are we going to get home?
It was then that the three teens and their Pokémon got worried. Freya was right. How are they going back to their world? The teens started to panic, while their Pokémon partners tried their best to comfort their Pokémon Trainers, until they were able to calm them down.
Athena: Thank you guys.
Daryl: I think it's better if we start to look around and see if we can find someone who can help us.
Athena: You're right.
Freya: How about if we fly? Maybe we can find a village or a town.
Daryl: You're right, sis. If we walk, it'll take too much time. Since I have Hydreigon, Freya come with me, while you Athena took out your Flying type Pokémon.
Athena took out her Mega Ball and an Altaria came out.
Athena: Altaria, listen, we are probably in another world, but we don't know what kind of world is. So, we have to find a town or a village. But it's going to be okay as long as we don't get lost.
Altaria nodded and the young girl hopped on the Humming Pokémon. Then, Hydreigon and Altaria started to fly in the sky.
A few minutes later…
Athena: Do you guys see something?
Asked Athena as she looked over to her friends.
Daryl: No. Nothing now.
Freya: Wait! Guys! I saw some houses there!
Exclaimed Freya as she pointed to the place. It was a town.
Daryl: Good job, sis! Let's go there!
With that, Hydreigon and Altaria flew with more speed. Finally, they arrived at the town. The Brutal Pokémon and the Humming Pokémon landed on the ground and the three friends hopped off of their Pokémon.
Daryl: Alright, we're here. Now, let's look around and see if we can find someone who can help us with this situation.
Athena: You're right. We should stick together, it's not safe if we go separately.
Athena, Daryl and Freya started to walk, searching for someone who can help them. During their research, the trio noticed that some weird-looking people are looking at them and they were awed and intimated to see their Pokémon besides them. The trio also noticed that some of them were human like them, but their skin was pale and they have pointy ears, while the others were… strange. They have either one or multiple eyes, horns, tail or they were more animal-like look. These strange-looking people were whispering to each other and they were taking pictures of them.
Freya: Is it just me or these people are rather… odd?
Daryl: No, I don't think you are the only one, sis. Just keep moving.
Suddenly Zorua – who was on Freya's shoulder – jumped off from her shoulder and started to run.
Freya: ZORUA! Come back here!
Exclaimed Freya as she started to follow her Pokémon. Even Daryl and Athena decided to follow the Tricky Fox Pokémon. Then, the little fox stopped as she spotted a boy who was the same age as her Pokémon Trainer.
The young boy has brown skin, dark brown hair, dark blue eyes and pointy ears. He was wearing a gray tunic with a dark gray belt, cowl, and boots. His sleeves and leggings were light blue.
The boy noticed Zorua and he kneeled at her level.
Boy: Hey there. Are you lost?
The boy petted Zorua's head and she cooed while her tail was wagging. Then, she jumped on his right shoulder and snuzzled his cheek, which made the boy giggled.
Boy: Eheheh. You're very cute. I've never seen a fox like you before. Do you have a name?
Before Zorua could say anything, Freya called her name.
Freya: Zorua! Thank Arceus, I've found you!
Freya ran towards the boy and her Pokémon.
Freya: How many times I told you that you shouldn't run off?! And above all, don't disturb other people. I'm so sorry.
Freya grabbed Zorua and she gently took her off from the boy's shoulder. The boy didn't say anything, he stayed in silence and just stared at her. Then, Freya heard Athena and Daryl's voices.
Daryl/Athena: Freya!
Freya: I'm coming!
Freya turned to the boy and she bowed.
Freya: I have to go.
Before she could leave, the boy stopped her.
Boy: Wait! Ehm… My name is Augustus Porter.
The boy known as Augustus extended his hand to shake Freya's hand and the girl shook it.
Freya: I'm Freya Silvermoon and this is my partner Zorua. Again, I'm so sorry if she caused you trouble.
Augustus: Oh no. Your pet didn't do anything. She just nuzzled my cheek, that's all.
Freya: Oh really? It's the first time that Zorua took a liking on someone, aside from Athena and my big brother. Also, she's not my pet, she's more like a friend.
Augustus: Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to-
Freya: Don't worry about it. Anyway, I have to go. See you around, Augustus!
Freya waved to Augustus and she left. Athena and Daryl saw Freya running towards them. They sighed in relief.
Daryl: Freya, I see that you found Zorua.
Freya: Yeah, she took a liking on someone.
Athena: Really? Well, that's new.
Daryl: Well, enough chit chat, we should keep moving.
The trio started to walk again once again.
One hour later…
An hour passed and the trio didn't find anything or anyone that can help them. Just as they were about to give up, they saw a strange stand with a sign that said "Human Collectibles" and they noticed a person. They decided to walk towards the stand. As the trio was walking, the person turned around, revealing to be a woman.
She was a tall, slender middle-aged woman, probably in her mid to late forties. She has ivory skin, golden eyes and pointy ears. She has long, gray hair. She also has a single gold fang, orange claw-like nails, marron lips and an oval amber gem on her sternum. She was wearing a sleeveless two-tone maroon dress with a ripped-like hem design, gray tights and maroon high-heeled boots. She has two pairs orange spherical earrings and an amber spherical ring.
The woman noticed the trio and the Pokémon – which the lady was shocked to see them and she thought that the three kids were some kind of beast tamers – and she smirked.
Woman: Well, look at that. New potential customers.
The woman muttered. The trio arrived at the stand and looked at the woman.
Daryl: Good afternoon, ma'am. My friends and I wanted to-
Woman: Buy something from me. Well, you're in the right place!
Daryl: What? Oh no, ma'am, actually we-
Woman: Are you interested in this human candy?
The woman took out a deodorant.
Daryl: That's a deodorant and no thanks. I wanted-
Woman: Then how about these human binoculars?
Then, she took out a camera with a broken lent.
Daryl: That's a camera and it's used to take photo. Also, no thanks. I just-
Woman: How about-
Athena: Oh for the love of Giratina, would you listen to us for a moment, please?! We just wanted to ask you a few questions!
Exclaimed Athena, she had enough of this woman and her behavior towards them. The woman sighed in disappointed.
Woman: That's it? You're not going to buy anything?
Freya: No, miss. We wanted to ask you if you can tell us where are we.
The woman raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Woman: You don't know? Aren't you native of the Boiling Isles?
Athena: Boiling Isles? Never heard of it.
Freya: Me too.
Daryl: My sister and I actually live at the Village of Dragons in Unova region.
Athena: And I live in Artazon in Paldea region.
Woman: Unova? Paldea? Never heard of them. Are those places from the Human World or something?
Dylan, Freya and Athena's eyes got widened in shock as well as their Pokémon. This woman's declaration confirms everything. They did end up in another world. Far away from their homes, their families, their friends. Everything. Freya was almost at the verge of crying and Dylan hugged her in order to try to calm her down. As for Athena, she started to hyperventilate a bit. Their Pokémon partners tried to calmed them down. The woman noticed their expressions and she decided to do something.
Woman: Kids, calm down.
The trio looked at the woman, who slowly they calmed down.
Woman: Are you three feeling alright now?
The trio nodded and petted their Pokémon partners, thanking them. Before one of them say anything, Suddenly, a guard hit the workbench with a fist, attracting the attention of the woman, Daryl, Freya and Athena and their Pokémon.
Woman: Oh great. Here we go, again.
Said the woman, muttering as she rolled her eyes in annoyance.
Guard: Eda, the Owl Lady. I finally found you. You are under arrest for using wild magic, committing demonic misdemeanors and other crimes that are against the Emperor's law.
Daryl: Criminal?
Freya: Wild magic?
Athena: Emperor's law?
The trio whispered in disbelief. This woman was a criminal? But… how can she be a bad guy if she was kind to them? Also, what does the guard mean by "wild magic" and "Emperor's law"? There were so many questions.
Guard: You are hereby ordered to come with me to the Conformatorium and this time you won't run away like last time.
The woman known as Eda scoffed and glared at the guard.
Eda: Would you knock it off already?! And besides, don't you remember what happened last time?
Guard: Enough! You're going with me, owl lady!
Just as the guard was about to grab Eda's arm, Altaria released multiple see-through balls of cotton from her wings at the guard, surrounding his eyes. Then, Pawmo jumped off from Athena's shoulder, he raised his fist as it was surrounded by yellow sparks, which grow into balls of electrical energy, and punched the guard right on the chest. The guard soon flew away and crashed to another stand. Eda was shocked when she saw how strong Pawmo was despite being little, not only that, but she was also surprised to see the Mouse Pokémon and the Humming Pokémon using… magic.
Eda: Holy Titan! Did that little mouse and big blue bird do some magic?
Athena, Daryl and Freya looked at Eda in confusion. Does she not know that those were Pokémon Moves?
Athena: Ehm… It's not magic, they're actually moves.
Eda: Moves?
Freya: Yeah, but I don't think we have much time to explain everything.
Daryl: My sister is right. I think that guard is gonna wake up soon and he will try to arrest us for hurting him.
Eda: You're right, and I know the right place where we can talk. Follow me, kids.
Eda took out a sort of staff with an owl on the top of it. Eda started to run and Athena, Daryl and Freya and their Pokémon followed her behind.
Daryl: Where are we going?
Asked Daryl with a worried tone.
Eda: We are going to my house!
Daryl: Are you sure that your house is safe?
Eda: Don't worry kid. My house has a special defense system.
Daryl: Okay, if you say so. Is your house around here?
Eda: It's actually a bit far away, but we can get there in a short time by flying.
Daryl: Oh, then in this case. Freya, hopped on Hydreigon.
Freya: Got it, big brother.
They stopped and Freya hopped on Hydreigon's back. Athena did the same thing and she hopped on Altaria's back. Eda jumped onto the staff – as the headpiece opened its wings and its eyes started to glow – and they started to fly. The guard, after he regain consciousness and still covered with some of Altaria's cotton, caught up with them and held up a fist, while with the other hand he held his chest.
Guard: You won't get away, Owl Lady! One day we will catch you and threw you in the deepest part of the Conformatorium along with the brats and the beasts! Argh! My chest hurts! I need an ice pack…
Then the guard left, complaining about the pain he received from Pawmo's Thunder Punch.
Meanwhile, Athena, Daryl and Freya were following Eda flying. As they were flying, they were awed and fascinated by the view.
Freya: So, beautiful.
Said Freya with her eyes full of stars. Athena turned to Eda.
Athena: So, Eda right?
Eda: That's me.
Athena: I was wondering, you told us that this place is called the Boiling Isles. What is this place exactly?
Eda: You see, the Boiling Isles is a place made by the remains of the Titan. Every magical creature of every myth that humans have is caused by a little of this world leaking into human world.
Athena, Daryl and Freya raised an eyebrow. Myth? What myth? Also, what does she mean by human world? Their thoughts were interrupted when all of sudden a giant creature with the head of a bird and the body of a feline appeared besides them. The Pokémon Trainer and their Pokémon gasped in surprise, but they soon became disgusted when the creature threw up some spiders from its beak.
Freya: Ugh. I think I'm gonna puke.
Daryl: You and me both, sis.
Athena: Me three. What in the name of Arceus is that?!
Eda: That's a griffin. I thought you kids knew those creatures.
Daryl: We don't. Are there other creatures we should know?
Eda: Well, there are few others than griffins. There are centaurs, fairies, vampires, giraffes-
Eda counted off, confusing the Pokémon Trainer, especially the last one.
Athena/Daryl/Freya: Giraffes?
Eda: Yup. We banished those guys. Bunch of freaks.
They landed in a forest. Athena, Daryl and Freya hopped off from their Pokémon's back and Eda hopped off from her staff.
Eda: Anyway, we have arrived. This is the place where my house is. Now, follow me, kids.
Eda started to walk, as soon the Pokémon Trainer and their Pokémon were following her, they stopped and were amazed when they saw a pretty cottage. It was a large house made from white brick with a sloping blue roof. There was a stained-glass window above the door gives the impression of a large orange demon eye. A crumbling stone tower with orange moss growing on it is located to the rear left of the house.
Athena: I have to take a photo! This house is very pretty!
Daryl: You're right! I'll take a photo too!
Freya: Me too!
Athena, Daryl and Freya took out their own Smart Rotom (Neo-Kitakami Case – Athena; Dragon Case – Daryl; Sprigatito Case – Freya) and started to take some photos. When they finished, they started to check them out as their Pokémon partners were looking too at the photos. But then a new voice was heard behind them.
?: Hoooo~ Those are really pretty photos.
Athena, Daryl and Freya and their Pokémon yelped with fright when they heard the voice. As soon they turned around, they saw a long, wooden light beige owl face with a darker orange upper side, brown eyes and an orange beak.
?: Hoot, hoot! Who are you? Never seen you around before. I'm Hooty!
The strange creature known as Hooty greeted at group with a smile. Still startled, the Pokémon Trainers and their Pokémon managed to calm down.
Athena: My name is Athena Hirano and these are my partners, Pawmo and Altaria.
Daryl: I'm Daryl Silvermoon and this is my best bud, Hydreigon.
Freya: Freya Silvermoon and this my friend Zorua and I'm Daryl's little sister.
Hooty: Pleasure to meet youuuuuuu~
Before one of the Pokémon Trainers could say anything, Eda called out.
Eda: Hooty! Stop annoying the kids and get here!
Hooty: Alright, alright, geez. I was just greeting them.
The Pokémon Trainers and their Pokémon walked beside Eda.
Athena: Don't worry, miss Eda. Hooty wasn't bothering us at all.
Eda: Ah, trust me. Within in five seconds, you'll get tired of him.
Eda opened the door, but the Pokémon Trainers, before walking inside the house, stopped and turned to their Pokémon.
Daryl: Guys, we wanted to ask you if you can wait outside?
Athena: We want to make sure if this place is safe.
Hydreigon, Altaria, Pawmo and Zorua cried in agreement. The Pokémon Trainers walked in the house.
Eda: Welcome to the Owl House.
Said Eda with a smile. The Pokémon Trainers gasped at the sight. The interior of the house was very beautiful. Once again, the trio took out their Smart Rotom and took some photos.
Eda: This place is where I live and where I hide away from the pressure of modern life. Also the cops. Also my ex-boyfriends.
Athena: It's very pretty!
Freya: Do you live alone, miss Eda?
Eda: Actually, I have two roommates. Also, drop the 'miss' part, I'm not old.
Freya: Oh, sorry. And you're not old, you're actually pretty.
Athena: I'm with Freya.
Daryl nodded in agreement. Eda smirked at the group.
Eda: Why thank you.
?: Eda, is that you? I thought you would come back in an hour. Did something happen?
A voice was heard, everyone turned their head at the voices' direction. Some footsteps were heard. As the footsteps got closer, the Pokémon Trainers brace themselves to know who were they. Then, the trio were surprise to see that the one who talked before was a young girl.
She has a tan skin, golden-brown eyes and dark brown hair in a slightly outgrown pixie cut. She was wearing a short-sleeved half-lavender and half-white shirt with cat ears attached to its hood, high-waisted jean shorts over dark navy-gray capri leggings, and a pair of white loafer sneakers. She was also wearing small, round black earrings.
When the girl saw the Pokémon Trainers, she was surprised.
Girl: Hey Eda, who are they?
Asked the girl with curiosity. The Pokémon Trainers waved at the girl.
Athena: Hi! I'm Athena Hirano.
Daryl: I'm Daryl Silvermoon and this is my little sister, Freya.
Freya: Hi! Are you Eda's roommate?
Girl: Yes. I'm Luz Noceda. I really like your outfits, they're very cool.
The girl known as Luz complimented at the Pokémon Trainers' outfits, which made the trio flustered.
Freya: Thank you. I also like your outfit, especially your sweater.
Luz: Aw. Thank you.
Eda: And as for me, my full name is Edalyn Clawthorne, but people call me the Owl Lady as you may know. Anyway, Luz, the reason why I'm here and why I brought these kids here, it's because they saved me from being arrested again.
Said Eda as she pointed to the trio. Luz was shocked.
Luz: Really?
Eda: Yeah, but that's not all. These witches seem to know everything from your world and-
Athena: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up!
Exclaimed Athena confused as well as Daryl, Freya as all three of them raised an eyebrow.
Athena: Witches? What are you talking about?
Eda: Eh? Don't you don't have pointy ears like me?
Asked Eda, pointing to her ears.
Freya: Do all witches have pointy ears?
Eda: Yeah. Did you think that I was a fairy or an elf?
Freya: I don't know what an elf is, but a fairy yes.
Eda: Is it possible to see your ears?
The Pokémon Trainers looked at Eda in confusion, but they decided to do it. Athena and Freya tucked locks of their hair behind their ears and Daryl took off his beanie hat, revealing to have round ears, all three of them. Eda and Luz gasped in shock and surprise, especially the girl as she squealed, catching the attention of everyone in the room.
Luz: I'm sorry. It's just… I'm so happy to see another human like me!
Eda: Don't tell me. Anyway, can you tell us where are you from exactly and how did you manage to control the beasts?
Luz: What beasts?
Eda: Well, you see, Luz-
?: Luz! Have you seen Francois somewhere?! I can't find him!
Suddenly, a squeaky yet childish voice was heard as it called out Luz. Some small footsteps were heard as the mysterious figures was approaching the room. Then, the mysterious figure appeared and it revealed to be a strange dog-like.
The strange dog was young and bipedal with a small stature. He has slightly purplish dark gray fur, while his stomach and the tip of his tail are mauve. He has short limbs, a round body and stomach, and a bushy, fox like tail. Each of his hands possess two triangular, bone-like claws with flat inner sides, acting as his fingers, as well as short, pointed thumbs. His feet are stumpy and have mauve metatarsal pads, with two more claws on the front of either foot acting as his toes. He has large, pink eyes with yellow sclera. He has slightly longer and shaggier fur around his cheeks, neck and nape. His inner mouth is light purple with two lower canine teeth. His upper head past his lower jaw and neck regions is a horned skull as it resembles of a canine. The muzzle of his skull has two large, outward-pointing canine teeth, and he has two molars on either side near the base of it. His horns are tall and point backward, curving slightly inward, but the left side is broken.
Athena and Freya gasped as their eyes shined.
Strange dog: I'm trying to find him so that-
Not even finishing the sentence, the dog was suddenly grabbed by Freya who hugged him tightly.
Freya: Oh my Arceus! You're just the cutest thing I have ever seen!
Freya cooed, while the strange dog was trying to get out from her grip.
Athena: I have to take a picture!
Said Athena, she took out her Smart Rotom and took a picture of the little canine. The strange dog yelped from the flash and he manage to get out from the hug. The little creature ran behind Luz.
Daryl: I believe he's your other roommate, right?
Eda: Yup.
The strange dog looked at Daryl and he yelped in shocked.
Strange dog: Another one?! Luz! Eda! Who are they?!
Eda: Oh, these are Daryl, Athena and Freya. They saved me when I was about to get arrested again.
Strange dog: Really?
Eda nodded. Daryl kneeled down and looked at the little creature.
Daryl: What's your name?
Strange dog: I'm King, the king of demons! Bow before me!
Exclaimed the strange dog known as King.
Athena: King of demons?
King: Yes! I used to be a mighty and powerful demon of the Boiling Isles. Everyone loved me, but they were mostly afraid of me. One day, someone put a spell on me and I became… this!
Freya: Really? Then, you are probably as powerful as Giratina or Arceus.
Eda, Luz and King raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Eda: Who or what are Giratina and Arceus?
Athena: They're legendary Pokémon. Never heard of them?
Eda shook her head.
Luz: What's a Pokémon?
Freya: A Pokémon is a mysterious creature that have powerful abilities. Some of them live alongside humans as their partners, friends, family.
Eda: Let me guess, the beasts outside of my house are Pokémon.
Athena: Yup. How about if we go outside? So you can meet properly our Pokémon partners.
The Pokémon Trainers walked outside of the Owl House. Eda, Luz and King looked at each other, then they followed the trio. When they were outside of the house, Luz and King's eyes widened in shock and awed upon seeing Pokémon.
Athena: These our partners. This is Altaria and this is Pawmo.
Daryl: This is my best buddy, Hydreigon.
Freya: And this is Zorua, my partner.
Luz gasped as her eyes shined, she ran towards Altaria and hugged the Humming Pokémon.
Luz: Ay que linda! She's so cute and soft! And you little mouse, you are a cutie pie too!
Luz – as she was hugging Altaria – petted Pawmo's head. Altaria cooed in happiness as she hugged Luz, even Pawmo cooed in delight. King walked towards Hydreigon and his eyes shined.
King: I can sense your power and darkness.
Then, King saw Zorua walking towards as the Tricky Fox Pokémon looked at him with curios eyes.
King: Hm… You look almost like me, but there's something strange about you.
Suddenly, Luz ran towards to Zorua and she started to pet the little fox.
Luz: You're a real cutie pie too!
Zorua cooed in delight. Then, the Tricky Fox Pokémon jumped up high into the air and spun her body while in the air. As she spun, her body started to glow pink and she changed her body into King. Eda, Luz and King gasped in shocked.
Eda: What the… I didn't know she can shapeshift?!
Luz: Is this magic?!
King: Hey, you! Nobody can copy the king of demons! As your king, I hereby order you to change back, now!
Zorua (King) chuckled and she started to copy everything about him. King was annoyed and Zorua (King) kept copying the little demon. Eda snorted, then she laughed. It was hilarious.
Eda: This is funny! I didn't know your fox could do that.
Freya: Actually, it's Zorua's ability, Illusion. Here, I'll show you a video.
Freya took out her Smart Rotom and showed to Eda a video of Zorua as she transformed into a human.
Luz: Is that a phone?
Asked Luz as she pointed to Freya's Smart Rotom.
Freya: It's actually a Smart Rotom. It's a smartphone that is enhanced after being possessed by a Pokémon called Rotom. It can do many things such as taking photos, calling other people, being a navigator and being a Pokédex.
Luz: What's a Pokédex?
Daryl: A Pokédex is an instrument that records every Pokémon a Trainer has seen or caught during an adventure.
Eda: Pokémon? Trainer? Pokédex? You have a lot to explain everything. How about if we go back inside and tell us everything.
Freya: Okay.
A few moments later...
Eda: So, let me get this straight. You guys are actually from another world where magic doesn't exist and you ended up in the Boiling Isles by a portal called Wormhole Portal. And in your world, people and Pokémon coexist together…
Luz: Pokémon are creature that have many abilities that no human can do and some of them live with humans as pet, friend and family. You guys are Pokémon Trainers, you travel all over the world, in every region, to catch, take care, battle to with your Pokémon partners…
King: You guys stopped criminal organizations and save the world many times. You also met powerful Pokémon that almost destroyed your world.
The three Pokémon Trainers explained to Eda, Luz and King – the two girl were sitting on the sofa, while the little demon was on Altaria's back – about their world and how it works and what is their job. It was hard for Eda, Luz and King to process everything.
Eda: This is a lot to take
King: You're damn right
Athena: Yeah, I know that it's hard to understand, but it's nothing but the truth.
Luz: So… about the Pokédex, how does it work?
Freya: Here, let me show you.
Freya took out her Smart Rotom she pointed to Zorua.
Smart Rotom: Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokémon. A Dark type. Zorua hides its true form by changing its shape into people and Pokémon and loves to surprise people. She can even imitate Pokémon and people's voices.
Eda, Luz and King were shocked to see how the Pokédex worked. It was very impressing.
Luz: That's so cool!
Eda: Huh. I'm actually very impressed. I didn't know you humans did have this kind of technology.
Luz: Can I try it?
Freya: Sure, here. Just brought it in front of the Pokémon and the rest will do the Smart Rotom.
Freya lent her Smart Rotom to Luz and explained to her how it works. The girl brought the smartphone in front of Altaria.
Smart Rotom: Altaria, the Humming Pokémon. A Dragon and Flying type. Altaria generally has a gentle personality, but when angered, it uses its shrill voice to intimidate foes before attacking. As Altaria flies across the sky, it resembles a soft cloud. It hums using its high voice.
Luz's eyes shined.
Luz: No way! She's a dragon?!
Athena giggled and petted the Humming Pokémon's head.
Athena: Of course. And don't let the looks deceive you, Altaria is actually a good Dragon type Pokémon.
Eda: Huh. I guess you're right. Can I try it too?
Athena: Sure, here, use mine.
Freya took out her Smart Rotom and lent to Eda. The woman decided to use the Pokédex on Pawmo.
Smart Rotom: Pawmo, the Mouse Pokémon. An Electric and Fighting type. When its group is attacked, Pawmo is the first to leap into battle, defeating enemies with a unique fighting technique in which it uses its forepaws to strike foes with electricity from its paw pads simultaneously.
Eda: Hot dang! I knew that the little mouse was something when he attacked the guard, but I didn't know about this.
Luz: Wait, really?! This little adorable mouse attacked a guard?!
Eda: You bet, kid.
Eda petted Pawmo's head, which he cooed. King jumped off Altaria's back and went in front of the Mouse Pokémon.
King: Little mouse, if that thing said that you can defeat your foes with electricity despite your size, then I want you to become my soldier. You will be my right-hand man from now on!
Pawmo tilted his head and he thought for a bit. Then, he cried in agreement and Pawmo made the military salute. King laughed as he was proud for Pawmo's choice.
King: That's right! You and I will be invincible!
Eda, Luz, Athena, Daryl and Freya giggled, then Daryl decided to took out his Smart Rotom and brought in front of King.
Daryl: Would you like to try my Pokédex to learn something about Hydreigon?
King: Yes! Gimme!
King grabbed the Smart Rotom and brought in front of Hydreigon.
Smart Rotom: Hydreigon, the Brutal Pokémon. A Dark and Dragon type. Hydreigon uses its six wings to travel the skies. Hydreigon believes that anything that moves is its opponent, viciously attacking with its three heads. There are numerous legends of it destroying many villages.
Upon hearing this, Eda, Luz and King's eyes widened in shock. Not only he was another dragon, but he was also dangerous.
Eda: Holy Titan! I knew that he was a dragon, but I didn't know that it was that dangerous!
Luz: Madre mía! How were you able to tame him?!
Daryl: Actually, it was a gift from my parents and the Elder of the Village of Dragons when he was a Deino.
Luz gasped upon hearing the name of the place.
Luz: Village of Dragons, like a place where dragons live there?!
Freya: You bet. My brother and I were born there and most of people that live there have a Dragon type Pokémon.
Luz: That's so cool. I really want to see your village one day.
Daryl: If we ever find a way to come back home, we would be glad to take you there. Same with you, Eda and King.
Eda: Really?
Daryl and Freya nodded.
King: Dragon! As your king, I hereby order you to be my soldier and my bodyguard!
Hydreigon scoffed and turned his head, ignoring the little demon, which made King mad.
King: Hey! This is an order! You should obey me!
Daryl: Sorry, little guy, but Hydreigon only listen to me, my sister and Athena. It will take some time for him to listen other people.
King was disappointed.
Daryl: Okay, now you know about us. It's your turn guys. We know about King, what about you Luz and Eda?
Eda: I'll start first. As you may know, I'm a criminal, because I'm a wild witch.
Freya: Wild witch? What's that?
Eda: A wild witch is a powerful witch that practice all type of magic, which unfortunately is considered illegal in the Boiling Isles.
Daryl: Why? I think it's awesome practicing all type of magic. I mean, you can do everything.
Eda: That's exactly what I thought. Anyway, I found this place and met hooty, so decided to live here.
Athena: The guard from before said some things like 'Emperor's law' and 'Conformatorium'.
Eda sighed and clenched a bit her fists.
Eda: The Boiling Isles is ruled by a man named Emperor Belos. But he's just a tyrant. He's cruel and cold. He hates the wild magic and if he found a witch practicing wild magic, he will execute them by petrification.
Athena, Daryl and Freya gasped in shock then they frowned.
Eda: As for the Conformatorium, it's the biggest prison of the Boiling Isles. It is a place where people who are "not normal" and "cannot fit into society" are sent. They never arrested me, I always managed to escape from them. Now, you know me.
Athena: Okay, thank you Eda. Now, it's your turn Luz.
Luz: Well, I live in the Human world as Eda call my world. I live in Gravesfield, Conneticut with my mom. I was always labeled as the "weird kid", especially at school, because of my love for fantasy, especially The Good Witch Azura.
Freya: The Good Witch Azura? What's that?
Luz: It's a book series about a good witch named Azura who fights for peace across magical lands. But because of this passion, nobody wanted to be my friend and I was always alone.
Freya: I'm sorry to hear that. I know how does it feel. You see, I have a passion for fantasy too, so I wished for my birthday a Pokémon related to magic.
Luz: Really?
Freya: Yeah, that's why my brother and our parents decided to give me a Zorua. But then the kids of my age started to avoid me and they told me that they didn't want to hang out with someone who has a Zorua because this Pokémon is mischievous and dangerous. I was left alone, but that didn't make me decide to abandon Zorua, so Zorua became my only friend.
Luz was actually surprised to hear that. Freya understood her, she understood how is like to be left out and not having friends.
Athena: But how did you end up here?
Luz: Well, on my last day at school, my mother decided to send me to this summer camp where I can be 'normal', but then Eda's owl stole my book and I followed it through a portal and I met Eda and King.
Daryl: I bet there's something else there, right?
Luz: Yeah. Eda asked me for help, trying to find the King's crown at the Conformatorium. Eda, King and I faced Warden Wrath. Then, this guy confessed that it was just a trap in order to ask Eda out, and let me tell you that it was cringy and pathetic of how he confessed his feelings.
Athena, Daryl and Freya deadpanned.
Luz: Eda refused and we tried to escape. As we tried, Eda wanted me to go back to the Human world, but I refused and with the help of the other prisoners from the Conformatorium, we started a revolution and we defeated Warden Wrath.
Daryl: Whoa. Sounds likes that after that, Warden Wrath swore to arrest you along with these two.
Luz: Oh, you bet. Anyway, after that, I decided to stay here until the end of the summer instead of going to this summer camp.
Athena: Why?
Luz: Because I want to learn magic and my dream is to become a witch like Azura. So, Eda and I made a deal. She will teach me about magic and I'll help her with her business.
Daryl: I'm actually impressed. I can also tell that you're happy with your decision. I'm happy for you.
Luz: Thank you.
Eda: Now that we clear everything, I think we need to think something of what to do with you three.
Luz: Can they stay?!
Eda: Kid, I'm sorry to say this but they can't.

Eda: I'm not going to feed other three mouth. It's already enough with you and King. Plus, I don't know what they can do for me.
Luz was sad and disappointed. Just when she was hoping she had found some friends. Then, Daryl had an idea.
Daryl: I have an idea. We can help you with your business and around the house, but until we found a way to get back home, we will live here.
Eda: And what can you do?
Daryl: Athena is a great cook and pastry chef, Freya is good with communication and she is good doing business and I am good at cleaning and repairing things. Also, we can protect you three from the guards or any other type of threats along with our Pokémon; plus, we can show you how great Pokémon are.
Eda thought a bit. Daryl was right on one hand, but on the other hand she wasn't sure if accepting his offer or not. She turned to look at Luz and King whose are they were smiling with eyes that practically says "please". Luz wanted the trio of Pokémon Trainer stay at the Owl House, not only to know about Pokémon, but also to have them as her first real (human) friends. King being King, he wanted to use Pokémon for his own "army", and also because he wanted to become friends with these creatures. Eda then turned to the Pokémon Trainers.
Eda: Alright. I'll accept your offer, kid. Welcome on abroad, kids.
Athena, Daryl, Freya, Luz and King cheered and Luz hugged the witch.
Luz: Thank you, Eda! Thank you!
Eda: Obviously, there are some rules you three have to follow since you're going to live here. So, you better listen.
Freya: Don't worry, Eda. We will listen everything you said.
Eda: Here's the room where you going to sleep.
Said Eda as the witch showed to the Pokémon Trainers the room where they were going to sleep. It was a storage closet, just like the one Luz is sleeping – as the girl decided to give the trio a tour of the house, showing even her room, revealing to be another storage closet – but unlike the brown-haired girl's room, it was less messy and much bigger, perfect for the three Pokémon Trainers.
Athena: Thank you, Eda.
Eda: I'll go and prepare dinner. I'll call you when it's ready.
Freya: Okay.
The trio of Pokémon Trainer rolled out their sleeping bags and took out their pajamas (Short pink nightgown with a white lower-half and frills at the top-half – Athena; Black and red sleeveless undershirt and black shorts – Daryl; Sprigatito pajamas – Freya). They put their Smart Rotom on a box.
Freya: You know guys, I think I'm gonna like it here.
Athena: Me too. I can't wait to see tomorrow.
Daryl: Girls, remember, we are not here to learn magic or other things. we need to figure out how to get back to our world. We need to find that Wormhole Portal or something that is similar to that portal.
Athena: I know, Daryl. But I think it's better learn more about this place. We don't know what the future holds, so let's stick together like we always did and go in many adventures.
Freya: Athena is right, big bro! I want to learn more about this place. Plus, it's also my dream to learn some magic!
Daryl sighed and he smiled a bit.
Daryl: Alright. Let's do this.
Somewhere at the Emperor's Castle...
The guard, who tried to arrest Eda, entered the throne room. He stopped and knelt before a figure sitting on the throne.
He was a tall, male figure and he was wearing a large white and brown cape with gold trim over a baggy gray tunic and black pants tucked into both his golden gloves and brown boots. He was also wearing a golden mask with two long upward-facing horns. His eyes were hollow through the mask, creating the appearance of having empty eye sockets. This is Emperor Belos, ruler of the Boiling Isles.
There were two people standing next to Belos.
On the left, there was a young boy, probably the same age as Athena, who was wearing an ivory-colored hooded cloak with a golden triangle clasp. Under the cloak, there was a dark yellow long-sleeved tunic with a golden-yellow short-sleeved shirt over it and a dark brown belt, black leggings, dark brown gloves, and boots. He was also wearing a golden pauldron on his left shoulder and a pointed two-faceted mask with a thin eye-slot across it. Underneath his tunic, he had a blueish-gray shirt and golden chest armor with brown straps. This is the Golden Guard, Emperor Belos' right-hand man.
On the right, there was a tall, slender, middle-aged woman, probably in her mid-to-late 40s. She has ivory skin, long, straight dark-navy hair, pointed ears and mint green eyes. She also has dark claw-like nails and black lipstick. In her debut, Lilith has long straight hair which she dyed a dark-navy color. She was wearing a long-sleeved two-tone dark gray dress and dark gray laced boots. She also had an inverted kite-shaped sky-blue gem located on her sternum, which was attached to her dress. This is Lilith, the leader of the Emperor's Coven.
Emperor Belos: I heard from the guards that you have some news and they are related to the Owl Lady.
Guard: Yes, my lord.
Emperor Belos: Tell me.
Guard: I was at Bonesborough, trying to arrest the Owl Lady. But then, I was attacked and the Owl Lady get away.
Golden Guard: Surely that wild witch attacked you to run away… again!
Said the Golden Guard, scoffing. Lilith frowned a bit.
Guard: No, this time it wasn't the Owl Lady who attacked me. They were these brats who attacked me. I know it sounds hard to believe, but I'm saying the truth.
The Golden Guard, Lilith and Belos raised an eyebrow.
Lilith: They were three wild witches?
Asked Lilith and the guard looked at the Coven leader.
Guard: No, I don't think so. I think they were humans like the human girl who attacked at the Conformatorium a few days ago.
Emperor Belos: You're sure about that?
Guard: Yes, my lord. And that's not all. These three brats can command these strange beasts, two of them happened the one who attacked me.
Everyone in the throne room were shocked, especially Belos.
Emperor Belos: Humans that can control beasts? Interesting. Do you have some photos of these three humans?
Guard: No, unfortunately. But I heard from Steve that some witches had posted on Pentagram the photos about the three beasts tamers.
Lilith: Someone bring Steve here immediately!
Guard: I'll do it!
Exclaimed another guard as they exited from the throne room. After a few minutes, they came back with the other guard, Steve, as he was following them behind.
Guard: I brought Steve as you ordered, Lilith.
Lilith: Good.
Emperor Belos: Steve show me the photos of the beast tamers.
Steve: Yes, Emperor Belos!
Steve took out a magical scroll with Pentagram opened. When Emperor Belos, the Golden Guard and Lilith saw the photos, they were shocked to see three kids, walking around with strange beasts besides them. There was also a video where Pawmo and Altaria attacked the guard who tried to arrest Eda. Needled to say, they were shocked and impressed of how powerful these creatures were. Emperor Belos darkly chuckled.
Emperor Belos: I made a decision. From now on, the Owl Lady would not be the only target, but also these three beast tamers. I hereby ordered all of you to capture them. I want to know more about them. I feel they can be useful for the Day of Unity.
Lilith: My lord, I'll try everything to capture not only the Owl Lady, but also these three kids. You have my word.
Golden Guard: My lord, you have my word too.
Emperor Belos: Excellent. Everyone, get back to your duties.
Guards: Yes, Emperor Belos!
