Reader/Writer

I have a lot of stories planned, though my time is limited so it's unlikely that I'll ever get to write all of them. I had some personal issues and had to take a break for a little while, but I am back to writing now.

For those who follow my work, all I can say is that with a family and full time job, I may have to take breaks sometimes and will write when I'm able. Maybe a week or a month between chapters, there just isn't anything I can do to help that. I'm far more likely to write more often in the fall/winter due to having more time spent indoors, but unless stated otherwise, my work isn't abandoned.

There is also the possibility that, at times, I may just lose interest in something I'm working on and in that scenario I'll probably just take a break from it rather than force myself to write and produce sub-par work. While I don't think my writing is very good, there is a certain level of quality that I feel like it has to meet before I'll publish it. Because of that, if I feel like it's declining and I'm losing interest, I may just take a break for a few weeks or whatever.

Chapters, therefore, will be posted when I'm ready.

Astraeus

Summary: Perseus, first-born child of Poseidon and Amphitrite, God of the Stars and Constellations, of Navigation and the Astral Plane. Patron of Heroes and Mentor to the Goddess Artemis. Sitting upon the ruling council of the Gods for thousands of years - and now facing the end of Olympus. (Rated M for Depictions of Violence)

This is something I've had bits and pieces to for a long time, and I've finally decided to make something of it. Some original ideas were scrapped, some just changed a little, but overall I'm excited about exploring this idea. This isn't your everyday Percy-Is-A-God story, and he isn't suddenly the most powerful being in the universe with every Goddess throwing themselves at him in a great big orgy. I find those stories to be pretty awful, truth be told. There isn't any depth to them, just SWP and the P is optional.

Also, this story will be entirely told from the PoV of Perseus and Thalia Grace, with the occasional Interlude that will show another perspective. It also will not tell an entire scene, and then the same exact scene from another PoV. While that can work on a very rare occasion, it usually fails in my opinion. I think dialogue and other observations can be put into effect to give that character's impression of the scene.

Legacy

Summary: Due to the heroic sacrifice of the Longbottoms the Dark Lord fell in 1981, the legacy of that night being a small boy hailed as a savior. Weeks later the effects were still felt in the loss of James Potter, his own death leaving behind a three-year-old son and a mark that would change the magical world forever.

Another story that I've had in the works for a long time. In this, we will see a Harry Potter with a different upbringing, and different goals. He is older than cannon, but that's mostly because I have a difficult time writing about younger children. Because of the age difference, he will be older and more able to take on the challenges he may face. His will be the only age I change in the story, most likely, but there will be other major changes.

This will not be a bashing fic, and I won't be intentionally creating some weird dynamic where a specific character just gets shit on constantly. I'll update this when more of the story is available to read, because at the moment anything else I say about it would be a spoiler.
