Sounds of chaos and destruction could still be heard nearby. Quatro took off in the direction of the war noise. Eventually, he made it within range of his teammates and picked up some of their chatter on the second radio channel.
"The red one's making a run for it!" he heard Raven call out.
Uno responded, "He's mine! I'm going after him, stay on the leprechaun."
Quatro rounded the corner of another building and there they were. Everyone was in a huge brawl on a section of the dirt plain. A red car with a jagged front end was speeding away from the brawl, another dune buggy right behind it. Quatro knew this dune buggy well. It was also green, though a darker shade and lacking any snarling snake images. It also had steel teeth-like protrusions on the front bumper, as well as a pair of jump jacks built into the underside. The LAPD's Grasshopper pursuit vehicle. It chased the red car down a main road until they both disappeared from sight.
Their abrupt departure incited the rest of the brawl to dissipate. A life-sized toy car model complete with a winder on the back was also trying to speed away from a hearse and a stock car. The chase was short lived. The back of the hearse opened up and revealed a closed coffin on some sort of flinging device . The hearse lobbed the coffin over both cars in front of it. The toy car model ran directly into the coffin seconds after it landed in his path and blew up as if it had driven into a punctured gasoline truck.
