"I see," Uno said. "Well heads up, I've got the clown on the run through the canals. He's headed straight for you."
Quatro checked his rearview.
And so he is.
Sweet Tooth was running up behind him in his badly damaged mech suit. It was missing its head.
"Out of my way, you piece of junk!" the giant robot barked.
The dune buggy dropped down into the drainage canal behind him. Quatro was beneath the section of main road and could feel Sweet Tooth stomping closer and closer. When the moment of truth finally came, Quatro was ready.
Sweet Tooth ducked under the section of main road and tried to step on the hoverbike, the one thing standing between him and refuge from the relentless dune buggy. Quatro activated a microwave shockwave and Sweet Tooth stumbled as if he'd stepped on a banana peel. He then lost all remaining balance when he tried to catch himself and actually tripped over the hover bike. Quatro was kicked backwards as a result and flipped end over end out of the short tunnel. Sweet Tooth fell with both arms out and landed in a pushup position. That was when his jet thrusters reactivated.
Uno was arriving on scene. Instead of following Sweet Tooth under the main road, she used Grasshopper's jump jacks to leap onto it and jump from there back down to the canals. She landed flush on his back just as he was trying to take off like Superman. The mech suit got completely smashed between Grasshopper and the road.
"Sweet Tooth destroyed. No opponents remain. You have won the match."
