Deep in the land of the four Digimon sovereign there was once a shining light, this light gave Digimon the ability to Digivolve and become greater and more powerful then ever before.
One day that light disappeared until...
Though Takato, Henry and Terriermon now had a new ally on their side, having Lopmon switching her allegiance from the Devas as to be Suzie's partner, Calumon found himself in the most depressing of situations.
After plummeting from the cage Makuramon had locked him within, the tiny Digimon found himself thrown into a great abyss, where, after the cage broke apart, he was dropped within a long tube and found himself trapped within a moderate sized bubble-like prison upon landing.
Looking up to the darkness, to those who had captured him, Calumon let his frustration out."Hey! What are you doing?" He questioned, trying to jump up and free himself, but found the bubble repelled him back to the floor with each jump.
Realizing he was trapped, Calumon took in his surrounds, or lack there of, noticing that just outside his new confinements was a giant red glowing crystal.
"What's that thing?" Calumon asked himself, curious to the item as he continued to examine it. "It's too big to be an ice pop, but it looks really familiar."
Had Calmon access to a mirror, he'd of noticed the red crystal and the red mark on his forehead shared a similar appearance, but feeling a growing uneasiness in his stomach, Calumon just wanted to escape.
"I have to get out of here." He let out, starting to panic.
But knowing his friends were out there, all looking for him, Calumon tried to calm down and think of how to free himself.
Though Calumon knew the strengths Takato and the others possessed, knowing they were all doing what they could to save him, after everything they had done for him, Calumon decided it was time he stepped up, that he needed to save himself.
"Ok, Calumon, time to get tough. I'm a Digimon. Perhaps I have some special attacks." Calumon then thought as he looked upon his hands, before clenching them into small fists and tried to tap into any hidden power he held deep within.
"Hairy Glowing Blistery Ball! Big noogie-poke-you-in-the eye power beam!" Calumon announced, setting up different poses as he tried to cast out any form of attack, but found despite his determination, he just couldn't perform any attacks.
"Guess I'm stuck here for good." Calumon let out, depressed as he sunk to the ground, his ears shrinking to match his downcast mood.
"Unless... someone rescues me..." The tiny Digimon then thought aloud, hoping to reunite with Takato and the other friends he had made back in the Real World.
-Back within the desert-
Patrolling through the wastelands, the Digimon kept an eye out, searching for their friends, and keeping up their guards if they ran into any wild and less rational Digimon.
As Rika rode up Kyubimon's back, making more than enough room as to allow Jeri a seat, from atop his head, Growlmon let Kazu and Kenta rest, while he did the walking for them.
Curious and expressing his care toward his Tamer, Leomon asked. "Jeri? How are you holding up?"
"I'm fine." Jeri replied, turning her attention to Rika and Kyubimon as she asked. "And what about you two? Are you alright?"
"I'm more than capable of continuing if that is what you're implying." Kyubimon said in reply, knowing Jeri was looking out for her and wanted to keep the brunette in a more assured mood, Rika however...
"Physically, I'm fine, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about Takato." Rika replied, allowing her emotions out as she confessed. "Takato's tough, and one of the best Tamers around, but this world has all kinds of dangers we've never encountered before. I can't imagine what he's run into."
Around the time, Rika was expressing her worry and care for Takato, the brunette found himself in a peculiar position.
Looking ahead, Takato found Suzie with a big grin on her face, her hands gripping Terriermon and Lopmon's as she continued to play with them.
"Terriermon, do you want to marry Lopmon and make her your wife? To be a dad and have little Terriermon boys and Lopmon girls?" Suzie asked happily, which embarrassed Terriermon to no end.
"Suzie, please... let me go..." Terriermon begged, seeing Lopmon shared his embarrassment.
"No, that's not how you answer, silly. You say I do, and then Lopmon says I do as well, and we all celebrate with cake!" Suzie said back, continuing to play around with Terriermon and Lopmon, continuing to push the two closer to one another, much to their embarrassment and protests.
While looking upon his sibling, though seeing her joyous and innocent attitude, Henry was still surprised, puzzled as to why and how Suzie managed to appear in the Digital World.
"I can't believe Suzie's here." Henry let out to Takato, expressing a concern as a big brother and adding. "It's not safe for her. And my parents... they're probably climbing the walls by now."
"Don't worry. Once we find Calumon, we'll get her and the others back to the Real World." Takato said in reply, keeping up his good spirits as to assure and comfort Henry.
Before Henry could reply, the atmosphere around the Tamers changed, with Takato and the others hearing giggling and seeing a familiar collection of light beings now flying around the area.
"Check it out, it's the Digi-Gnomes." Takato let out with a smile, finding the digital creatures flying around him and Henry, while Suzie was left entertained.
"The pretty fairies are back!" She called, wanting to play with the digital beings, while Henry remained observant of the creatures.
"Looks like they're trying to tell us something." Henry remarked, taking note of the Digi-Gnomes continuing to circle around him and Takato, the brunette agreeing with Henry's thoughts, but saying. "I'd be easier to figure out what, but we don't speak gnome, and I don't think they can speak at our language."
That said, the Digi-Gnomes, remaining giggling, flew away, all flying toward the Southern Gate, toward the bride leading to the lair of the Digimon Sovereign.
"Hey! Wait up!" Takato called and was about to chase after the digital creatures, but found Henry approaching Lopmon.
Crouching down before the former Deva, believing her knowledge could help in their position, Henry, after withdrawing the drawn picture of Calumon, questioned. "Lopmon, do you know this Digimon?"
"Of course I do. That's Calumon, the Digimon who holds the key to Digivolution. The Sovereign need Calumon in order to keep this world safe from those who would harm it, which is why they brought us Devas together." Lopmon replied, surprising Takato, Henry and Terriermon to her words and the knowledge that Calumon's strength had the power to Digivolve other Digimon.
Remaining curious, Henry then asked. "And do you know where Calumon is now?"
Nodding to the question, Lopmon looked beyond the South Gate bride, telling her new friends and allies. "Calumon's being held in the phoenix wing, the area where Zhuqiaomon lives. It lies just beyond the South Gate I used to guard."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Takato questioned, taking a more leading role as he prepared to head out. "Now that we know where Calumon is, let's get him!"
However...
"No... we can't..." Henry let out, expressing a continued worry for Suzie as he looked upon the newest member to join the Digimon Tamers.
"Momentai!" Terriermon cut in, grabbing the attention of Henry, Takato, Suzie and Lopmon.
"I know you're worried about Suzie, but she's a Tamer, and she has us to protect her if she finds herself in any danger." Terriermon went on, showing his trust within Henry and their friends, while keeping a strong and supporting tone.
"Yeah!" Suzie let out, agreeing with Terriermon as she withdrew and proudly displayed her D-Power. "Like it or not, I'm just like you, Henry. I'm a Tamer now, which means we get to save Calumon together."
Remaining uncertain to Suzie, to her well-being, but knowing her stubbornness, Henry decided not to argue with his sibling and to focus on rescuing Calumon.
But before taking a single step on the bridge leading to the Sovereigns, Lopmon rushed ahead, stretched her arms out and declared as to block the way. "Hold it right there. We're not going anywhere."
A little puzzled to Lopmon's behaviour, to her obstructing their pathway, Terriermon walked up to Lopmon, looking to her with confusion.
"Lopmon, what are you doing? If you're worried about Suzie, she's got us to look after her." Terriermon assured. "And Suzie's rougher than she looks. Just try spending a whole afternoon with her and her dolls."
Though seeing Terriermon trying to encourage Lopmon, but the former Deva still questioning herself, Takato turned to Henry.
"What now?" He asked, knowing that if they were going to save Calumon, they needed to pass the gate, but with Lopmon blocking the path, it was going to be hard to convince her as to let them pass.
.
.
.
Back with Calumon, the tiny Digimon was broken from his more sorrowful of thoughts as the area around him lit with a crimson light, leaving Calumon looking around and turning his attention back up, sensing someone high above and staring down at him.
"Keeper of the light, you must know you are not a Digimon like the others. You have a power inside you, a power we need." An unknown voice told him.
"There's no way I'm giving you my insides!" Calumon said back, trying to defend himself to the unknown voice. "I am too a Digimon."
"Once, you were the light that gave us the power to Digivolve, you must become that light again. Resistance is useless. You cannot escape your destiny or this cage." The unknown voice then declared, before the illumination died down, leaving Calumon all alone and sinking back into his solemn state.
"Please listen. You are mad if you are to face the Sovereign, and I can't help you." Lopmon said, expressing her continued care for others.
"Your Deva powers might be gone, but you can still fight." Henry pointed out, but Lopmon remained uncertain.
"The Sovereigns made me, and they can destroy me just as easily." The rabbit-like Digimon replied with a continued doubt, which faded as she saw Suzie approach her, crouch down and look to Lopmon with a smile.
"You're wrong, Lopmon." Suzie declared, wrapping her arms around and hugging Lopmon lightly. "You're one of the strongest Digimon ever. You handled that mean monkey, and I know you can do anything if you put your mind to it, at least that's what my daddy always tells me."
From the warmth of Suzie's embrace and her words, Lopmon was a little surprised as she felt the warmth spreading inside of her, giving her a sense of strength she never felt as a Deva.
This was her bond with her partner, its strength growing with the clear trust Suzie held within her.
"I hate to break the moment but what now? Calumon's not gonna rescue himself?" Terriermon let out, expressing a growing curiousness, before a sudden and loud thunderous roar filled the skies, the great bellowing scaring Suzie as she wrapped her arms tighter around Lopmon, while Takato and Henry looked around, puzzled by the sudden change in atmosphere.
"What now?" Takato questioned, believing this was far more than a mere cause of nature.
"I don't know, but I don't think it's good." Henry said in reply, feeling a shared uneasiness to the drastic change in scenery.
Feeling their dread growing, the Tamers were right, unaware that ahead of them, approaching from the phoenix wing was one of the few Devas remaining, Cetauramon, who leapt to the air as he declared. "The time has come for me to do my master's will!"
-Back in the desert-
Remaining seated upon Kyubimon's back, Rika and Jeri Growlmon carrying kenta and kazu on he head while Leomon Guardromon and Meramon walk beside them.
Seeing their surroundings weren't going to change anytime soon, and sensing the shared boredom of just walking through the growing heat, Meramon, his body adapted to the more dry environments, found himself looking to Leomon and asking the lion Digimon. "Leomon, I have to know, how did you come to be Jeri's partner?"
"I am unsure if I am being honest, but there was something inside of me, something that told me to protect Jeri, and for her to help me grow as a Digimon." Leomon said in reply, looking to Jeri with a clear trust, which the brunette didn't share.
"But I haven't really done that much." Jeri stated, doubting her strength and skills as a Tamer.
However, lacking confidence in herself, Leomon made up for it as he set his arms around Jeri's being, hosting her from Kyubimon's back and allowed her to rest on his shoulder.
"Jeri, you have the true heart of a lion. You are a mighty warrior, and I cannot think of anyone else better suited to be my Tamer." Leomon said, keeping his gaze upon Jeri, who teared up a little at the honesty within Leomon's voice and in his eyes.
"Leomon... thank you..." Jeri let out, sliding herself closer and wrapping her arms softly around her Digimon, an action Leomon supported and returned, patting Jeri's back softly.
Leomon turn to look at Kyubimon's and Growlmon " what about you two how did you guys meet Rika and Takato
"Takato created me one day through his drawings, and after managing to calm me down, we have been together everyday." Growlmon replied, recalling brief memories of the Digital Hazard warping his mind and sending him into an animalistic frenzy, before refocusing on the more positive times. "It almost feels as though I was supposed to be with Takato, and nobody else."
"As for me, it was no accident I wound up with Rika." Kyubimon said, speaking up and expressing her own thoughts and feelings.
"I wanted the strongest Tamer, someone to help me Digivolve, someone I could protect, someone I could call my best friend. The choice was clear, it had to be Rika." The vixen went on, expressing a further warmth and trust within the red haired Tamer, a bond Rika nodded and agreed to.
"I feel the same way about you, Kyubimon." Rika replied, sliding herself down a little as to rub Kyubimon's fur, petting her partner, which was a little embarrassing to Kyubimon, but she decided not to make a fuss about Rika's affection.
But looking to the others, seeing MarineAngemon flying around Kenta's head and nuzzling his tiny frame against his Tamer, Kyubimon knew she didn't have much to complain about in comparison.
"Kenat's mine, and I am his! Phoo!" MarineAnegemon called happily, finding his enthusiastic actions coming to a halt as Kenta managed to grab the tiny Digimon, set him in his arms and hug him closely to his chest, showing their bond, but taking caution as not to crush MarineAngemon.
"Fate has chosen me to side with Kazu." Guardromon added, where the machine Digimon declared. "Together, we shall right the wrongs of this world, protect those who cannot protect themselves and act as a shining light of justice."
"You've got that right, pal." Kazu said in agreement and confidence.
Form all the Tamers and their partners had shared, Meramon looked amongst Growlmon and the others with a growing smile and trust.
"Having a partner sounds amazing." The flame Digimon then commented, looking to his hands, clenching his fists as he declared. "When I get a Tamer, I'll be the best partner I can. And from all I've learnt from you, nothing will stop me."
That's the spirit." Leomon replied, confident in Meramon and believing that with his strength and his kind heart, Meramon would soon find a human to call his Tamer.
-Meanwhile-
Back at the South gate, ignoring the growing thunderous atmosphere around them and focusing on the issue before them, Takato looked to henry, knowing that even though Terriermon and Lopmon were there for support, his instincts as a big brother left him protective of Suzie and uncertain to advance.
"Look, Henry, I know you don't want to leave Suzie, so why don't you just stay with her and I'll go? And Terriermon can come with me, if that's okay with you?" Takato offered as a compromise.
"Ok..." Henry replied, showing a continued reluctance. "I don't know if that's a good idea."
"I know, but I also want to get Calumon back." Takato said back, using his wits and adding. "And if the Sovereigns are just trying to protect their world, maybe I can reason with them, so we don't have to fight anymore. Who knows, maybe we could even join forces?"
"what if huh..".Henry began to ask, only to stop mid sentence as a blast suddenly erupted closeby, this concerning Takato and the others, who looked on, stunned to see a fair sized crater, seeing a familiar motorcycle rising Digimon impacted within.
"Hello kiddies!" The dark rider said, his tone expressing a sinisterness, which left Suzie frightened, while Takato, Henry, Terriermon and Lopmon were all puzzled to his appearance.
"Beelzemon!?" Takato let out.
"Seems you ain't with all your friends." Beelzemon said in reply, looking amongst the current group before him, before drawing out his shotguns and adding with a further darkness. "Oh, well. Guess I'll just have to eliminate them later."
Shocked to see the biker Digimon holding them at gunpoint, Takato asked. "Why are you doing this, what did we ever do to you?"
"It's nothin' personal, it's just business, and I'm a businessman." Beelzemon replied, keeping his shotguns aimed toward the Tamers, looking ready to open fire at any second.
Knowing they had to act, Terriermon turned as to face his Tamer.
"Henry!" He let out, earning an understanding nod from his partner, who withdrew his D-Power and a Blue Digimon Card.
Swiping the Digimon Card through his D-Power, Henry announced with a great might. "Digi-Modify! Matrix Digivolution Activate!"
"Terriermon digivolve to... Gargomon!" Gargomon declared, reacting to the power of his partner, achieving his Champion form, before excelling further as he went on with his continued enthusiasm. "Gargomon Matrix Digivolve to... Rapidmon!"
His Digivolution complete and landing before Beelzemon, his height toppling the biker Digimon, Rapidmon was ready to fight, while Beelzemon just scoffed.
"Is that supposed to impress me?" He questioned, before stating. "I've eaten bigger Digimon than you for breakfast."
"Maybe this will impress you! Rapid Fire!" Rapidmon said back, drawing up his arms and releasing a set of missiles upon Beelzemon, consuming him in a great and mighty explosion.
However, despite locking onto his target,as the uproar of dust began to settle, Rapidmon and the others saw Beelzemon hadn't moved an inch and hadn't even suffered a single scratch.
"Not even close. But have a taste of this! Double Impact!" Beelzemon called, opening fire upon Rapidmon, who felt a great pain with Beelzemon's attack and was thrown back by the clear power the Mega Level Digimon held.
"Rapidmon!" Henry and Suzie each cried out, both concerned for the Ultimate Level Digimon, with Henry astonished to see one attack managed to fell his partner.
Matching the shock Henry and Suzie expressed, but also feeling a doubt growing within him, Takato let out. "I feel... totally useless... Guilmon, Guilmon where are you?"
Laughing to see Rapidmon collapse, Beelzemon questioned with a continued arrogance. "Is that really all you've got?"
His hands trembling, a fear growing inside of him, Takato screamed for help. "Guilmon!"
Though Guilmon wasn't by his side, the fear and need for his help seemed to echo through the Digital World, to the desert region, where the cry was picked up by a familiar Digimon.
Stopping in his movements, a concern filled Growlmon, which was noticed by Rika and the others.
Curious, Kazu asked. "Growlmon, why'd you stop?"
"It's Takato." Growlmon replied, looking amongst his friends and stating. "I think I heard him."
"I think I heard him too." Rika said, agreeing with Growlmon, which surprised most of the Tamers, save Jeri, knowing just how strong a bond Rika held with Takato.
Surprised, but having to ask, Kenta questioned. "Are you sure? I didn't hear anything."
Shaking his head in agreement with his Tamer, MarineAngemon expressed the same puzzlement as Kenta, only for a thunderous echo to attract the attention of all the Tamers, followed by hearing Takato's cry for help.
Now knowing Growlmon and Rika weren't hearing things, the Tamers looked around for their leader, finding only desert, before noticing a familiar pink line of energy heading toward them.
"Umm, guys... Data Stream twelve o'clock!" Kenta let out in warning, before stating. "We've got to scram!" pointing towards a data stream was approaching them.
"Hold up. I think Takato's voice is coming from within it." Meramon spoke up, knowing that though he didn't have such a bond to the brunette as the rest of the Tamers, the flame Digimon still considered Takato a friend.
Agreeing with Meramon, Kyubimon spoke up, adding. "Which means there's only one thing we can do."
"Hold on, Takato, I'm coming for you." Growlmon said, his words astonishing Kazu and Kenta as to what the red dino Digimon was thinking.
"Don't tell me we going toward that Data Stream. What happens if it takes somewhere that's not to Takato?" Kazu asked, expressing his concerns to the possibility of further separation.
"We have to take that chance." Rika said back, resting her hand on her chest and stating. "If things were reversed, Takato would dive right in to save us."
Though keeping her head forward and upon the Data Stream, Kyubimon gave a small smile, proud of Rika's bravery and her devotion to her boyfriend.
Now knowing they were to use the Data Stream as a means to locate Takato, after making sure he had a firm hold on Jeri, Leomon let out in warning. "Brace yourselves, because this is going to get bumpy."
Though afraid, the Tamers followed in Leomon's lead, with Rika keeping her hands firmly upon Kyubimon's back, Kazu and Kenta each gripping themselves to Growlmon's horns, while MarineAngemon quickly snuggled himself into Kenta's pocket for protection.
Standing strongly, the Tamers allowed the Data Stream to run along their beings, absorbing them within and transporting the group through a portal of light, none aware their actions were being observed by Caturamon.
"Soon those foolish children will be gathered in one place, to meet one fate, the fate of all who defy the Digimon Sovereign." The shadowed image of Caturamon declared, knowing if Beelzemon failed in his task, then he would carry on and avenge the fallen Devas.
.
.
.
at the south gate suzie started to cry After witnessing Rapidmon taken down by a single blast, the pain he endured left Suzie crying.
Wrapping his arms around Suzie, trying to calm her down, Henry looked over to Rapidmon.
"Rapidmon, you have to get up!" He called, knowing they were in grave danger without a Digimon to protect them.
"He's too strong..." Rapidmon groaned, finding it almost impossible to get to his feet, feeling a continued pain surging through his damaged body.
"No kidding. Compared to me, you guys are the are amature hour, you know that? Pathetic humans and your Digi-pets, you make me want to throw up, kick your butts and throw up again!" Beelzemon let out, expressing a clear fury in his voice, which Takato finally recognized.
"Wait a minute. You're Impmon, don't you remember?" Takato spoke up, slowly sliding himself ahead as to protect Henry and Suzie as best he could, as well as try to speak to Beelzemon with a further trust. "You went to camp with us. We've played together, we've even saved your life. You're our friend."
"Impmon..." Beelzemon trailed out, only to snap furiously. "Is nothing but a bad memory!"
His fury growing, Beelzemon aimed his shotguns at Takato and was about to open fire, about to eliminate the Tamer, only a sudden stream of light pierced through the darkening skies, which then shot down between Takato and Beelzemon.
And after the residual energies of the light died down, it revealed Rika and the others now standing in place.
"You found us! Takato called out, happy to see his friends, to see his partner and overjoyed to see Rika again, a feeling Rika returned as she hopped off of Kyubimon's back, rushed over and set her arms around the brunette, holding him close to her.
"I really missed you, Gogglehead." Rika said with a warmth in her voice, breaking from her embrace as to allow the others time to express their own joys of reuniting.
"Takato, I missed you so much." Growlmon declared as he approached his Tamer, looking down to Takato with care.
"I missed you guys, too." Takato replied, however, though joyous to have Rika and Growlmon back with him, there were some worries growing within the brunette as he recalled what Shibumi had been telling him.
Looking at Growlmon, Takato had a brief flashback, recalling to the old data reforming and turning into Guilmon, leaving a doubt to plague Takato as he found himself thinking. 'But what if... what if I lose him again...? Mizuno's right, he's just data, and data can be erased...'
Still unclear or uncertain to his feelings, to what he should do, Takato was broken from his thoughts as he heard a conflict growing between Kyubimon and Beelzemon.
"Beelzemon, there's still time..." Kyubimon tried to say, trying to reason with the Impmon side of Beelzemon, who yelled back. "Can it, Fox Face! Watching you getting all chummy with a human was bad enough, but showing those feelings to that dino freak!?"
Expressing his rage, Beezlemon released another onslaught of bullets, targeting Kyubimon, who narrowly avoided the shots, but suffered from the residual impact.
"You scoundrel!" Guardromon let out, taking a firm stand against Beelzemon. "Didn't your mother teach you that it's rude to stike a lady? Guardian Barrage!"
Despite putting his efforts into the attack, casting out a set of missiles at Beelzemon, with a single swerve of his motorcycle, Beelzemon deflected the attacks.
"Is that all you've got tin can?" Beelzemon asked, revving his engine as he locked his sights upon Guardromon, freaking the machine Digimon out a little.
"I have no idea who you are, but you should've stayed in whatever scrap pile those kids pulled you out of!" Beelzemon then yelled as he shot forward, accelerating toward Guardromon and the Tamers, ready to run them down.
Fear spreading amongst the Tamers to see the fury that was Beelzemon, Growlmon, Meramon and MarineAngemon did what they could to repel their new opponent.
"Pyro Blaster!"
"Magma Blast!"
"Kahuna Waves!"
The combination of fire blasts, meteor flares and heart bubbles shot along Beelzemon's path, but his speed and his skills with his motorcycle allowed him to avoid the hazards as if they were nothing.
But closing in, MarineAngemon showed his courage, showing strength wasn't just in terms of size alone, with the angelic Digimon leaping at Beelzemon and hugging his face tightly.
"I can't see, you flying rodent! Let go of me!" Beelzemon yelled, trying to pry MarineAngemon off his face and keep his ride steady.
Spitting more heart bubbles at Beelzemon and into his face, Beelzemon gave a great cry as the bubbles stung his face, this also causing him to loose control and crash the motorcycle, throwing the duo to the ground.
"Why you... You scratched my paint job!" Beelzemon let out with a continued rage as he approached the fallen form of MarineAngemon, looking ready to slam his foot down and crush the angelic Digimon.
"Kyubimon!" Rika quickly called, her voice causing Kyubimon to leap to Beelzemon and to protect MarineAngemon.
"Dragon Wheel!" Kyubimon announced, setting her being in a familiar blue flame, which shot down and struck Beelzemon, the attack not only allowing MarineAngemon time to retreat, but this caused the biker Digimon to give a great cry as the flames began burning away at his hands.
After shaking off his gloves as to avoid the flames from spreading or leaving any nerve damage, Beelzemon turned his attention to Kyubimon and lunged at her, slamming the foxy Digimon into the ground as his claws grasped around her throat.
Seeing Kyubimon in danger, his protectiveness kicking in, Growlmon rushed at Beelzemon.
"You leave her alone!" He yelled, charging toward Beelzemon with a continued might, a similar feeling growing within Takato, only the brunette felt his own rage and hatred growing.
"Get him, Growlmon! I don't care who he used to be, he's nothing but a monster now! Take him down!" Takato ordered, his furious tone unfamiliar to the Tamers, which puzzled Rika and frightened Jeri a little, having never seen such a side to the brunette in the past.
Though Growlmon managed to knock Beelzemon back, protecting Kyubimon, this was only a temporary set back for Beelzemon, who retaliated and delivered a powerful punch to Growlmon's face, the impact knocking him back and sending the red dino Digimon crashing to the ground.
"So much for friendship, Pineapple Head." Beelzemon scoffed, continuing to bring pain to Growlmon, kicking and punching the now helpless Digimon over and over before turning his attention back to Kyubimon, telling Growlmon. "Don't worry, I'll be back to finish you off, but not before I take care of your little girlfriend."
Standing over Kyubimon, keeping a foot pressed down on the vixen as to prevent her from escaping or fighting back, Beelzemon drew out his claws.
"Any last words?" He asked, wanting to hear Kyubimon beg him for mercy.
"Impmon, please..." Kyubimon tried to let out, infuriating Beelzemon, who snapped back. "Be quiet! I must destroy you once and for all!"
he About to bring his claws down, Beelzemon felt a tight pressure around his right arm, this causing him to look to see Leomon holding his arm, keeping him in place.
"I don't know who you are, but I do know you're being used. This power you've been given, is it worth hurting these children to keep it?" Leomon questioned, trying to reason with Beelzemon, to save him from his darkness.
"You don't know anything!" Beelzemon yelled back, finding his outburst earned him a solid right hook from Leomon.
"To have power is not to be strong. I know that better than anyone." Leomon then said, keeping his strong gaze fixed to Beelzemon as he let out with a continued might. "Do what you must, Beelzemon, but I will not let you hurt these children."
Though Leomon backed down, Beelzemon remained seated with rage.
Giving another fearsome cry, Beelzemon left the Tamers in shock as his claw pierced through Leomon's chest, horrifying all at the sight, namely Jeri, all terrified as Beelzemon ripped his claw out and left Leomon collapsing before him.
"Why... can't you see... can't you understand the truth...?" Leomon let out, knowing his end was near as the wound left by Beezlemon's claws spread along his body, causing his being to slowly break apart.
Unable to bring themselves to the realization to what was occurring, with Jeri watching and tearing up, shaking her head, believing it all to a bad dream, the rest of the Tamers felt a similar dread, with Kazu the first to speak up.
"I don't believe it... he got Leomon..." He let out, a feeling Kenta shared.
Holding MarineAngemon close to him, Kenta said. "We could be next... we've gotta get out out of here... I can't take this..."
"Too scary..." MarineAngemon said, agreeing with Kenta.
"Leomon, it can't be..." Henry said with a shared worry, hugging Suzie as he tried to comfort her at witnessing such a horrid sight.
However, though he too was horrified to see Leomon's body fading away, knowing he was close to perishing, Takato felt a growing rage and hatred toward Beelzemon.
From the fatal blow, Leomon's body was completely gone, leaving only his head and his shoulders remaining, his Data continuing to break apart, which left Jeri in place and crying her heart out.
"Be brave, Jeri. Remember, part of me will always be with you. You have a lion's heart." Leomon let out, before finally fading away, the sight causing Jeri's heart to break and for her D-Power to loose its shine, replaced with static.
Sharing the fear of Suzie, Jeri and the others, from her position, Lopmon looked upon the Data that used to form Leomon.
'I won't let such a noble Digimon to be absorbed and used for evil.' Lopmon thought, before closing her eyes, searching deep inside of her for the strength she needed. 'I might have given up my position as a Deva, but with what power the Sovereigns entrusted to me, I will use it for the greater good.'
Keeping her eyes closed and keeping her focus, Lopmon held her paws out, concentrating as she managed to extract the core of Leomon's Data, the key to his physical form and his memories.
However, instead of absorbing it into herself, a primal instinct all Digimon shared, Lopmon pushed herself a little as she uploaded Leomon's Data into Jeri's D-Power, causing the static filled screen to change to display a two bit digital Digi-Egg.
With Leomon no more, Beelzemon absorbed what he could of Leomon's Data, but found the Data refusing to be part of him.
"C'mon! Give me your power already! I need it. I need more power!" Beelzemon yelled, finding that no matter how hard he tried, the Leomon Data remained flowing around him, but not into his being.
Annoyed by this, Beelzemon swung his claws at the yellow sparks of light, trying to rip through them, continuing to express his rage. "Fine. If I can't have the Data, nobody can!"
"He... he was just trying to help us..." Growlmon said, expressing a fear and solemness, which turned to anger as he snapped. "And you...!"
Reacting to the fury Growlmon was expressing, Takato's fists were trembling with a growing rage.
"How could you... how could you do this horrible thing?" Takato questioned, his face expressing the hate growing within him, before the brunette stated. "I'll make you hurt... I'll make you pay!"
From his vengeful declaration, a dark red aura circled around Takato, which reflected itself off of Growlmon, allowing him to instantly Digivolve to WarGrowlmon.
However, looking to the pair, Rika and the others knew something was wrong.
"Nice outfit." Beelzemon commented, only to then declare. "But it doesn't matter. And after I beat you, I'll finish your friends off, one by one!"
"You're the one who's finished!" Takato snapped back, sharing the same darkness and hatred in his eyes as WarGrowlmon now held.
Rushing to Beelzemon, WarGrowlmon showed his fury, ignoring the shots fired from Beelzemon's twin shotguns, before sinking his fangs into Beelzemon's chest, earning an agonized cry from the biker Digimon.
"Finish him! Tear him apart!" Takato yelled at the sight, wanting to see Beelzemon suffer, to see him destroyed.
Despite WarGrowlmon's fangs sinking into him, the pressure intensifying, Beelzemon managed to break free, before continuing his conflict with WarGrowlmon, astonishing all but Takato to see the rage both Digimon placed in their blows as they tried to destroy one another.
"You cannot lose, I won't allow it!" Takato yelled, holding up his D-Power as he then commanded. "Digivolve! Digivolve now!"
Reacting to Takato's call, to his negative emotion, back within his prison, Calumon noticed the red marking upon his forehead begin to glow, only the energy he felt gathering within was going to cause more problems as opposing to fixing them.
Screaming as the energy of Digivolution was forcefully extracted from his being, the energy shot up as a great and powerful red beam of light, which was collected within a crystal sphere and spread along the four gates of the Sovereigns.
Form the phoenix wing, the energies of Digivolution were exposed, reacting to WarGrowlmon's rage, this causing the Digital Hazard mark on his chest to flash red, while bringing a great concern to Rika and Henry.
"Not good." Rika let out with worry, recalling how dangerous WarGrowlmon was the first time they found him, remembering the Digital Hazard driving Guilmon into a menacing frenzy, which brought concern to the others.
"If Wargrowlmon's instability is anything like Guilmon's, there's a chance all that power could destroy the Digital World." Henry said, this terrifying the Tamers.
Unfamiliar with Guilmon's past, having met the sweet and caring side of the Digital hazard Digimon, Kazu found himself asking with a deepening fear. " c..can someone tell me what going on with Wargrowlmon!"
"Guilmon was created with an energy known as the Digital Hazard, a dark power most Virus Type Digimon possess." Kyubimon replied, her gaze fixed upon WarGrowlmon as she added with worry. "I thought my training was helping him overcome this dark side, but it seems it wasn't enough."
Drawing his D-Power to WarGrowlmon, to the Digital Hazard, Takato and Growlmon allowed the anger, the rage, the hatred to consume them both, causing a wisp of dark orange energy to encircle the pair.
"Takato, what's happening to you?" Rika asked with a further worry as she tried to approach the brunette, but found the energies surrounding Takato lash out at her, almost acting as a shield to Takato.
"You want power, Beelzemon? Then how about you face a Mega Digimon!?" Takato screamed darkly, allowing the unstable energies to consume him and WarGrowlmon completely, forcing the Tamers to back away from the intensity of the energies now pooling before them.
Finding the shadows of Takato and WarGrowlmon fading within the energy, Rika and the others looked on, terror filling their beings as the energy finally faded, only revealing Takato and WarGrowlmon had vanished, replaced by a tall and terrible looking figure, a knight clad in dark blue armour, who held the same malice in his eyes as Takato held.
Frightened, but concerned for her friends, Suzie asked. "Henry, what happened? Where's Takato and WarGrowlmon?"
"I think that thing is Takato and WarGrowlmon." Henry let out with shock, which was shared amongst the Tamers, who remained fearful to what Takato had become, finding that as the corrupt knight Digimon began to approach Beelzemon, drawing his lance forward, now resting upon the ground was Takato's D-Power.
However, allowing his anger to cloud him, to turn him into another monster, cracks began to form along the D-Power, before shattering apart completely.
If the combined force of Takato and WarGrowlmon was able to best Beelzemon, the tamers fear that their closest friends would then become their worst nightmares.
