Overcoming the darkness from his being, the pure form of Gallantmon now stood by Sakuyamon's side, the pair sharing a radiant aura of pure light as they faced Beelzemon.
Confused by the sight, to see Gallantmon's armour now shining, Beelzemon questioned. "Hey, what's goin' on here? You had a chance to destroy me, so why'd ya stop?"
"We were fighting you for the wrong reasons." Gallantmon said in reply, his lance drawn as he declared. "But now, you will be brought to a rightful justice. You rejected every offer of friendship we ever gave to you, you destroyed a noble soul and for that, we can never forgive you."
"Forgive me?" Beelzemon questioned, only to then snap with venom in his tone. "I don't recall ever asking for forgiveness!"
"Trust us, you'll be kneeling before us and begging." Sakuyamon declared, expressing a confidence in herself and in Gallantmon, which furthered the hatred of Beelzemon.
"That does it! I'll wipe you both out of existence!" The Demon Lord Digimon yelled, extending his claws out as he rushed Gallantmon and Sakuyamon.
Keeping their control, drawing their weaponry and remaining as a team, Gallantmon and Sakuyamon charged together, the pair closing in on the fury of Beelzemon.
Meanwhile, the Tamers were amazed, seeing ChaosGallantmon had changed, where Henry was the first one to speak as he said. "Whoa, that's amazing, he must be Guilmon true mega form!"
Ready to fight back and protecting Sakuyamon, Gallantmon moved before the shaman Digimon, his lance held steady as to block Beelzemon claws.
Though blocked by Gallantmon, Sakuyamon saw this as a chance to show their further teamwork as she leapt over Gallantmon, swung her spear around and brought her weapon forward.
"Spirit Strike!" She announced as she tapped into her mystical energies and brought forth her four fox spirits, which shot towards Beelzemon.
Snarling as he disengaged from Gallantmon's stalemate, Beelzemon leapt back as to avoid the fox spirits.
Landing away from Sakuyamon's attack and staring his opponents down, Beelzemon found himself thinking. 'These two are strong, but nothing will stop me now.'
'This isn't going to be easy, but together we can stop him.' Gallantmon thought as he and Sakuyamon jumped back, getting some distance from Beelzemon and allowing the pair a moment to strategize.
Switching up his own strategy and drawing his shotguns, confusion befell Gallantmon and Sakuyamon as an object from the sky suddenly shot down and collided with Beezlemon, consuming the Demon Lord in an uproar of smoke.
"What is he planning?" Sakuyamon questioned, just before the sound of an engine revving filled her ears.
From the gathering dust cloud, Beelzemon shot out in haste, the Demon Lord now upon the seat of his Behemoth motorcycle and speeding toward the Tamers and their partners.
"Nothing will stand in my way!" Beelzemon yelled as he opened fire, pulling the triggers of his shotguns and setting his attacks upon Henry, Terriermon and the others.
But acting with haste, and ensuring their friend's protection, Gallantmon got before the Tamers, using his shield to protect Henry, Suzie, Terriermon and Lopmon, while Sakuyamon protected the others.
"Crystal Sphere!" The shaman Digimon announced, producing a spiritual barrier of energy around herself, shielding herself from Beelzemon, as well as protecting Kazu, Kenta, Guardromon, MarineAngemon, Meramon and Jeri, who remained slumped on her knees and in her own dark world.
Her tear filled eyes staring at her D-Power, which remained with a static filled screen, Jeri said solemnly. "Leomon... it's my fault... I wasn't strong enough to be your Tamer... I'm so sorry..."
Allowing the pain to consume her heart, the despair continuing to cloud her from the outside world, Jeri paid no attention to Gallantmon and Sakuyamon, who remained strong against Beelzemon.
Circling the duo upon his motorcycle, Beelzmeon continued to increase his speed, bombarding the duo shot after shot, repelling against Gallantmon's shield and Sakuyamon's spiritual barrier.
But groaning as he felt the fury growing within Beelzemon's attacks, Gallantmon then turned his head to the right to look at Sakuyamon, telling her through Takato and Guilmon's concerning voice. "Sakuyamon, I need you to stay here, keep our friends safe while I finish this battle once it for all!"
Though wishing to remain by Gallantmon's side and act as his protection knowing she could trust Gallantmon, that the Digital Hazard was no longer in control, Sakuyamon nodded in reply.
"Just be sure to come back alive and Give Beelzemon a beating he'll never forget for me." Sakuyamon said with a warm smile.
Nodding to Sakuyamon's words and sensing the trust she held for him, Gallantmon lowered his shield and withdrew his lance as he proceeded to the battlefield.
Staring Beelzemon down with a renewed determination, Gallantmon was determined to bring him down, not out of vengeance this time, but out of justice.
"There is no excuse for your actions. I will see that justice is served." Gallantmon declared as he aimed he lance toward Beelzemon and charged toward the Demon Lord.
Reacting to Gallantmon, Beelzemon revved his engine and took off, shooting ahead with a fearsome battle cry as he too lunged at his foe.
"You'll excuse me if I don't impress your highness, but I've got a deal to close, and I'll destroy anything that happens to be in my way!" Beelzemon yelled furiously, bombarding Gallantmon with another line of gunfire, which clashed against Gallantmon's shield and his armour.
Pushing through the mercilessness of Beelzemon, fighting for those he cared about, Gallantmon shot past Beelzemon, leaving behind no trace of himself, save his cape.
Annoyed, Beelzemon looked around and yelled. "Alright, where'd you go? Show your face, coward!"
"Lightning Joust!"
The sudden mighty call of Takato and Guilmon caused Beelzemon to turn his head upward, astonishing the Demon Lord Digimon to see Gallantmon shooting down from the sky, his lance overcharging with a great force of lighting.
Trying to counter against Gallantmon, Beelzemon shot into the sky, his strikes impacting Gallantmon's armour, but having no effect on the knight Digimon, nor slowing down his attack, this left Beelzemon to retreat, to jump off of Behemoth as Gallantmon slammed all his force into the motorcycle, causing the whole area to erupt through the devastating power released.
Even within the deeper sections of the Sovereign's sanctum, set within a realm of flame, Catsuramon and his Sovereign felt the tremendous force outside, sensing Beelzemon and his enemies were locked in the fiercest of battles.
Through the flames, the Digimon Sovereign, Zhuqiaomon, looked upon Caturamon.
"Perhaps Beelzemon is worthy of the gift we have bestowed upon him after all." The Digimon Sovereign commented, only to then tell Caturamon. "But there is another who has betrayed me, this cannot go unpunished. Go and destroy the traitor!"
"As you wish." Caturamon said in reply with a loyalty in his tone, before vanishing in a wisp as to seek Lopmon and those she now allied herself with.
-Back with the Digimon Tamers-
Keeping her friends protected as promised, Sakuyamon maintained her barrier as she, Henry and the others watched Gallantmon and Beelzemon continue in their conflict.
Though the two Digimon continued to show their might, tension grew within Sakuyamon and the Digimon as their senses picked up that another familiar presence had returned.
"He's coming... Caturamon..." Lopmon said with a clear fear in her voice, her concerns causing Suzie and the others to look toward the former Deva, before looking ahead, seeing Caturamon had arrived on the scene.
"What a tragic waste, a Deva who prefers the company of humans to the glory of the Sovereign." The dog Deva remarked.
Then, sweeping past Sakuyamon's barrier with his continued speed, Caturamon appeared before Suzie and Lopmon.
Confused, Suzie looked upon her partner and asked. "What does he want? Did you do something bad, Lopmon?" Lopmomon shook her head.
"No, he's the one that's bad." Lopmon said back, understanding how the actions of the Devas could be seen as misguided and extreme.
"You must be punished for what you've done, traitor." Caturamon then said as he continued to stare down Lopmon, only to find his rage growing as Suzie wrapped her arms protectively around Lopmon.
"Disgusting. I must remove this worthless human." He declared with a further menacing tone, the fear within Suzie only furthering.
But staying strong, Suzie remained with her arms around Lopmon.
"Please, Caturamon, leave Suzie alone." Lopmon pleaded. "It's me you want. She's innocent."
"Innocent?" Caturamon questioned back, before yelling at Lopmon with a continued hatred. "A human trespassing into the land of the Sovereign is unforgivable! I shall destroy you both!"Lunging at Lopmon, Caturamon altered his form through his Treasure Hammer attack, the Deva transforming into a gigantic mallet, which headed straight for Suzie and Lopmon, the sight of which horrified Henry and the others.
"Suzie! Lopmon!" Terriermon cried out as he jumped forward and acted on his gut.
Though Terriermon knew he was no match for a Deva in his current condition, the care he felt toward Henry's sibling and toward Lopmon caused him to jump in front of Lopmon, just as the hammer form of Caturamon slammed down, striking Terriermon with a great and powerful force.
Horrified at the sight, Henry, Suzie and Lopmon could only watch as Terriermon was smacked aside, the rabbit-like Digimon crashing before Suzie's feet, which left the girl tearing up in panic.
Concerned herself, Lopmon broke from Suzie's arms and landed beside Terriermon, asking with confusion in her voice. "Terriermon... why did you do that?"
"I had to protect you..." Terriermon replied through his groans, looking over Lopmon with a small smile as he added. "I listened to my heart and acted with my head."
Though blushing lightly to Terriermon's words, Caturamon's remaining presence returned the dread and despair the Tamers felt.
"Your betrayal and this new bond with the humans has made you weak." The dog Deva remarked as he slowly approached Lopmon and the others, only to stop as Sakuyamon took a proud stance before her friends.
"You're wrong. The bond between humans and Digimon can give power that not even your Sovereign can stand against." Sakuyamon declared as she drew her spear and lunged forward, cutting straight through Caturamon with tremendous force.
"Long live the Sovereign..."
His final words expressed and unable to withstand the great power of Sakuyamon, Caturamon's body broke apart, his Data particles spreading and leaving little to no trace of the fallen Deva.
However, before the remains of Catsuramon could vanish completely, Beelzemon leapt to the sky, seeing his chance for further power.
"I'll take that!" He called, absorbing the energy of the fallen Deva into his being, where he bellowed furiously. "That filthy dog, Catsuramon finally got what he deserved, and now all that power is mine!"
Showing his boost of speed and strength, Beelzemon swept past Gallantmon, the Demon Lord Digimon deciding to eliminate the others now that Sakuyamon's barrier was down.
Cornering Kazu and Kenta, Guardromon, MarineAngemon and Meramon took a protective stance before the Tamers as Beelzemon charged at them.
"Don't worry I'll protect you." Sakuyamon offered as she moved in front of the other Digimon and brought her barrier back up, but found a strain on her as Beelzemon's claws crashed into the protective energies.
But looking over Beelzemon's shoulder, Sakuyamon saw Gallantmon charging at the Demon Lord Digimon.
Thrusting his lance downward and delivering a great slash, though Beelzemon just managed to avoid the attack, the sudden distraction not only allowed Sakuyamon to further protect her friends, but one of Beelzemon's shotguns slipped from his hand and fell into the abyss.
Fury overtaking him, Beelzemon screamed. "That's it! I've had enough of you brats!"
Slashing his claws wildly, Beelzemon continued to try and rip Gallantmon apart, his rage blinding him and causing many of his attacks to miss his intended target.
However, even with his misses, the damage and destruction caused was having a great impact on the area around Gallantmon and Beelzemon, with more and more of the ground tearing apart from the force of the Demon Lord.
As Gallantmon kept dodging Beelzemon attacks, the knight Digimon thought to himself. 'I have to find a way to end this... before anybody else gets hurt...'
However, his thoughts were cut off as Beelzemon was suddenly assaulted, the Demon Lord bombarded by a collection of missiles, fireballs and bubbles.
Turning, surprise filled Gallantmon to see Guardramon, MarineAngemon and Meramon were all attacking Beelzemon, seeing the trio had broken free from Sakuyamon's protective barrier to add their aid.
Though the attacks only annoyed and enraged Beelzemon, Gallantmon could see that they were intended not to harm him, but to act as a distraction, to give him the opening he needed.
'Thank you, everyone this is what I needed!...' Gallantmon thought with a smile.
Using the chance while the Demon Lord Digimon was distracted, Gallantmon tackled Beezlemon, who crashed into a rock from the impact.
Gallantmon held up his lance, pointing it towards Beelmon as he called out with might "Lighting Joust!"
The thunderous blast sent Beezlemon flying backward, breaking through rock and debris, while yelling in pain as he crashed along the ground.
Recovering from the attack, his fury providing him the strength needed to retaliate, Beelzemon got back up and withdrew his second shotgun, where the Demon Lord released a hail of gunfire upon Gallantmon.
However, no matter how much pain Beelzemon tried to inflict upon Gallantmon, the knight Digimon remained strong.
"You can't hurt us anymore!" Gallantmon declared as Beezlemon tried to test the words of Gallantmon, continuing to lay fire upon the knight Digimon, but found the attacks ineffective.
And making matters worse for Beezlemon, he found his ammo finally ran out, leaving him pulling the trigger to an empty gun.
With his onslaught over, Gallantmon saw this as his chance, to end the battle and to put a stop to the Demon Lord.
"Beelzemon, your judgment day is at hand. For the horrible things you have done, now you most pay the ultimate price!" Gallantmon declared, drawing his shield toward Beelzemon, which charged with energy, preparing a great and mighty blow.
"Shield of the Just!" Gallantmon then exclaimed, his call causing the energies within the shield to triangulate around the centre, one by one.
And after the entire shield lit up, a big bright beam of red energy shot from out the center and toward Beelzemon, the power of the attack throwing the Demon Lord back, who cried in great pain and suffering.
"No!" Jeri suddenly cried out to the sight of Beelzemon thrown back by the continuing blast.
"This can't be happening...!" Beelzemon shouted in shock, unable to believe his power, alongside the combined powers of Caturamon and Makuramon were no match for the combined might of Takato and Guilmon.
As the smoke from the blast began to fade and die down, the Tamers were left to the sight, to see Beelzemon badly beaten and now kneeling on the ground.
His body greatly damaged and unable to rise, Gallantmon approached the fallen Digimon.
Drawing his lance, Gallantmon was ready to finish the Demon Lord once and for all.
"This is where it ends." He told Beelzemon, who remained down on the ground, struggling in defeat.
Anger overtaking him, Beelzemon then snapped. "How could I lose? I was supposed to be invincible. What are you? Go on, do it!"
"No!" Jeri suddenly cried out as she rose to her feet, continuing to watch the end of the battle between Gallantmon and Beelzemon, with the Demon Lord remaining in his fury and shouting. "Do it!"
"I can never forgive you for what you've done to Leomon, he was my friend, how can you be so cold?" Gallantmon questioned, but found Beelzemon answered with a spiteful glare. "You're not even sorry for what you did. Goodbye Beelzemon."
Before Gallantmon could deal the finishing blow and end the Demon Lord Digimon, Jeri suddenly rose up and cried her heart out.
"Stop it!" She screamed, the emotion within Jeri's cry causing Gallantmon to purposely miss and for his lance to pierce just under Beelzemon's arm.
Confused, Gallantmon looked at Jeri as he asked in Takato's voice, expressing his confusion and pain. "Jeri... why?"
All around them, the Tamers, Digimon and even Sakuyamon looked to the brunette for her answer.
"He's not worth it Takato..." Jeri said with a continued sadness in her voice, confusing Gallantmon.
"What are you saying?" Gallantmon had to ask as set his lance aside, puzzled by Jeri's sudden plea, before overlooking the Demon Lord and adding with a growing spite/vengeance. "He deserves this, you know that."
However great his anger toward Beelzemon, Gallantmon found Jeri's emotion far outweighed his fighting spirit, where the brunette continued to express her solemn emotion.
"Please, don't do it. I couldn't bear it if anyone else got hurt... please." She begged as she further approached and wrapped her arms around Gallantmon, the actions and seeing Jeri's sorrow left the knight Digimon in silence.
His friendship and devotion toward Jeri allowed him to see clearly, to see he was about to become ChaosGallantmon once again if he was to end Beelzemon's life, which caused the knight Digimon to back from Beelzemon and end the battle.
Though spared his life, confusion filled the Demon Lord.
"Why... why are you protectin' me? I destroyed your partner!" Beelzemon questioned as he returned to his feet and looked toward Jeri with further confusion, puzzled to why out of all the Tamers, it was Leomon's partner trying to save his life.
"I hate you... for doing that... but even if you died it wouldn't bring Leomon back... It's my fault he's gone, and if you destroyed each other then that would be my fault too... I just can't let anyone else get hurt because of me..." Jeri said through her pain, her eyes swelling with tears.
Reacting to the growing distress Jeri continued to show, Henry approached Jeri, set a hand on her back as to comfort his girlfriend.
"It'll be ok, Jeri." Henry soothed, but found his kindness had little effect on the breaking form that was Jeri, finding that as he tried to hug her, Jeri seemed to recoil.
Concerned too for Jeri, Gallantmon disengaged his form, reverting back to Guilmon and Takato, who too tried to comfort Jeri in her time of despair.
Though Jeri remained deeply upset, the sight of had an effect on Beelzemon.
'Humans...' Beelzemon thought, his mind having flashbacks from when he was Impmon, and when he was partnered to Ai and Mako, who treated him more as a toy than a Digimon.
"He is mine!" Mako yelled as he pulled at Impmon's left arm, trying to pry Impmon away from his sister.
"He is not!" Ai yelled back as she pulled at Impmon's right arm towards her, she too trying to pry Impmon away from her sibling and have him as her own.
'They were so selfish, I didn't want to have anything to do with 'em.' Beelzemon thought bitterly, hating how the twins, his supposed Tamers treated him.
-end flashback -
'I didn't need friends, especially if they were humans. Humans don't care about anything but themselves, and even when they did show you a little attention it's only because they wanted something from ya. They used us Digimon as if we were slaves or somethin'. Well I wasn't going to take it anymore!' Beelzemon continued to think as he recalled the fear the humans showed toward him, to how he was detested and despised. 'All I wanted was to have the power to Digivolve on my own, was that too much to ask, huh? I don't think so! Catsuramon was right, what choice did I have? There's no place for me in the Real World... but why... why does that brat care about me all of a sudden? She should hate my guts.'
"I am nothing now." Beelzemon said, realizing his power was no match for the strength Takato, Guilmon, Rika and Renamon wielded, before turning away, leaving the land of the Devas in deep thought.
"Beelzemon, wait!" Takato called, hoping to have a word with the Demon Lord, to try again to help Beelzemon see there were others who cared about him, but found Beelzemon vanish.
Uncertain to the path the Demon Lord would now take, whether Beelzemon would come back for another round, Takato and Guilmon found their attention drawn ahead, seeing a flash of light appear before them and manifest into a D-Power, a replacement Digivice for the leader of the Digimon Tamers.
"Looks like I got my D-Power back." Takato said as he overlooked the device, taking note that the new D-Power held a golden trim around the screen as opposed to the red his old D-Power adorned.
"And we overcame our darkness." Guilmon added, happily nuzzling Takato as to show his joy, which brought a smile to the Tamer's face.
"We couldn't have done it alone." Takato then pointed in reply, overlooking Sakuyamon, alongside Kazu, Kenta, Guardromon, MarineAngemon and Meramon, finding that as they too disengaged their Biomerged body, Rika and Renamon returned to their original forms, set their arms around Takato and Guilmon, the pair embracing the boys with a growing warmth and love.
And showing her emotion a little more than her partner, Renamon tilted Guilmon's head as to meet his lips in a loving/longing/warm/passionate kiss, much to the Hazard Digimon's surprise.
"Way to go, Chummley! You guys did it!" Kazu said with a great enthusiasm as he rushed over and slapped Takato encouragingly on the back, adding with a further pride and amazement. "That was awesome how you and Guilmon merged together. I admit it freaked me out to see ChaosGallantmon, but with the help of Sakuyamon you were able to show your true colours."
Overlooking Rika, Guilmon and their friends, pride filled Takato, who smiled as he said. "Whatever happens now, I know we'll do it together."
Though Beelzemon had been bested and the Devas were no longer a threat, overlooking the lair of the Sovereigns, the Digimon Tamers knew that their greatest fight was soon approaching, that though Gallantmon and Sakuyamon were their secret weapons, they would need every advantage as to stop the Sovereign's plans.
Meanwhile, and within the west area of the Sovereigns, Ryo and Cyberdramon were continuing in their own mission.
Steering their way through the waters around them, Ryo was unfamiliar with the area and decided to see if his partner could be of any assistance.
"Cyberdramon, do you have any idea where we are?" Ryo questioned, but found confusion fill him to see Cyberdramon growling to the skies, the sight causing the brunette to ask, confused. "What's wrong?"
"I'm sensing the presence of a new opponent more powerful than we've ever seen." Cyberdramon informed, his warning causing Ryo to look through the mist, wondering what they were to encounter and what the Digimon Tamers were soon to face.
