Nathair1: the idea of adding her was something that I came up with a few chapters back but I am glad to add her here. I believe I had Desiree wipe his mind of her, gonna have to go back and check to make sure I did. As for Dani, I have a plan for her and I look forward to bringing her in. As for your last question, it will be explained
Daniel6: we will see about her age when she comes in
Dragonrule: you will find out what she does in this chapter
Or-lan-do626: those scenes with the young ghostling and those two will be interesting to make
Sreym Sallad: we will see how I do Danielle when I bring her in completely
Zeckromizder: I have a plan for Dani and I still have to build up on her. As for him landing in Pandora's realm instead of Clockwork, I don't plan on adding the all-powerful ghost just yet. He will come in later when the time is right. Pandora has another purpose that I look forward on building. As for Kitty, I am starting to consider her but if I do, it will be a small ark to build it.
ArashiNokitsune: I love Dani and I plan on having her in this fic and more prominent than she was in canon. Though, in the show, she only showed up in three episodes. And the lat episode didn't count since she only appeared for a second
A6spike: that gave me an idea I could use and I look forward to getting to it. Age noted
Purpurawolf76: noted on the pairing. Tucker has been an issue with me as he is very self-centered and he was a bad friend. Pandora has a bigger role to play in this story and in Danny's life. Age noted. Daughter of a phantom is one of my favorite Danny phantom stories
Chanderx93: note on Dani's age considered.
Luisegluna: thought on Dani's placement noted. The idea is interesting about her stabilization
Guest 1: that is an interesting way of thinking it. I will consider it as we get closer to Dani's full introduction to the story
Guest 2: logically, that would make sense, but that would get rid of a character in a anti-climactic way
Guest 3: yes, but cartoons make things easier to not kill them off in such a way.
Guest 4: I will consider the age of Dani as we get closer to her full introduction to the story
Guest 5: I have a plan for Jack and Madie and I hope when I get to it, it will be interesting
Adrianfilex622: glad you like the ideas I used and Dani's age suggestion noted
Green223: age suggestion noted
The Fan of awesome: suggestions noted
MasterDarksider: suggestions noted
Commander of the Omega Legion: yeah I always like that dynamic and we will see how things will go with Dani as we get closer to her full introduction
Richard1081: age noted
DJ Rodriguez: glad you liked the chapter and had much to say about it. There is going to be a dynamic between Danny and those who haven't learned and I hope you look forward to it
Zzz3: age and number of girls noted
Chaos Snow Kitsune: that is an interesting idea, but I don't think I could use that. Though the idea could be used for a new story.
Felisfernus18: yeah, Tucker isn't really a good friend. As for Kitty, I think it is good to be just a friend. As for Freakshow, we will see
Ryavrel: glad you liked the sneak peek.
Guest 6: She might have that lesson
Devilsummoner666: glad you liked it. longer? I can….try but the chapters are already around 6k, give or take. I will consider your suggestions.
Lightkirinhuruname: here is more
PegasusIzuku24: suggestion noted
Okami2312: suggestion noted
Jaydog123: well, here is the real update
Guest 8: here is more
Guest 9: sorry but I had other things so I couldn't do one for christmas
Old666: sorry for the wait, but here is the real update
Tomthecrafter46: I want to build on the relationships but I kept coming up with situations that take precedence. I will make a chapter for each one where they just grow closer. I really want to do them cause I love making chapters like that. As for Dani, that is an interesting idea. For additions, I hear ya. I like more of the Kitty friend aspect
Guest 10: updating
AA6: suggestion noted. And I like the ideas you gave as they gave me something to use for later chapters
Guest 11: sorry for the wait but I had other stories under my belt and some things that came up
Guest 12: pretty much
6113: that would be interesting for the ghost hunters dealing with Freakshow. As fir Dabi, I like those ideas
Derpysense: yes. Also I don't think I will do a Transformers Prime X Naruto fic since I can't think of any way to make that work. I just don't think I could do that crosover
Ldrago master: that isn't a question to bring up casually
Nathair1: I will get to those errors soon
I want to thank all those who gave me well wishes
Nathair1, Guest9.95, Okami2312, Dan the bluewolf, Dragonrule, Devilsummoner666, ryuofhi99
Thank you.
I still haven't recovered 100% but I am getting there.
I deleted the author's notice before replacing it with this. If you are not able to leave a review due to the one review per chapter thing, you can send a pm but that is only if you are unable to review
Chapter 11: Surprises.
"Pandora? As in the Pandora, the one who created Pandora's box which holds all the world's evil Pandora?!" Danny looked at the large woman in shock as he couldn't believe he was standing in front of a mythical figure. A woman who, despite sitting in a chair, was still taller than him.
The ghostly woman smiled at the shock he had as it was amusing to her. "I see that word of my existence has continued on through time. I had thought that my actions would have been long forgotten."
Danny was still dumbfounded that he was meeting an actual myth. Despite how he was not that knowledgeable about stuff like that, there are things that almost everyone knew, through some form of media or stuff like that. Pandora and Pandora's Box were used in some games that he had heard about or played. Though, from all the iterations about Pandora, this would be the most unique of them. He shook his head before clearing his throat and nervously spoke to her. "Well…. You are known as a myth. Your name is seen as something that can't be real or is too far-fetched to be real. Though you have been used for some stories and other stuff."
Pandora nodded as she closed her book and got up at her full height, making Danny feel even smaller. "I suppose that is the clearest outcome. It has been a very long time since I had been in the human realm and the feats that I had done would be seen as too fantastical to be believed." She smiled softly as she looked down at the young boy.
Danny didn't know why, but her cheery nature was calming his nerves. The second he saw her, he was on edge in case she would attack him, but all she did was show some surprise and relief at him being awake and introducing herself. "There is also the fact that a lot of people think of you as evil since your box is considered a weapon of unspeakable power." He thought about the portrayals that he had seen before in some old movies and some of the board games he had seen the nerds play.
This caused her to raise an eyebrow. She put her upper right hand on her chin as she looked up in thought about the reason for such a negative view of it. "And why would I be seen as evil for such a thing?"
Danny rubbed his head sheepishly as he answered. "Well, your box is made to hold the world's evil."
She laughed at that as she now understood how the Box's purpose could be misunderstood. "Well, of course it is. It is meant to hold it in one container so that it isn't spread out into the world. Could you imagine what would happen if such things were released? The world would be in chaos from it all and destroyed by the end of the week."
Danny thought about the way she said it and could barely imagine the kind of trouble the world might have to deal with. With how old the box must be, it would be apocalyptic. He shivered at the thought and didn't know if he would have been able to help with that. He paused as he felt his wing knock over a potted plant. Turning to look at what he did caused him to knock over a couple more.
Pandora watched as the young boy winced at each accident he did till he grabbed the top of his wings and brought them in, only to wince when his left hand gripped the talon that was on the joint of the wing. The "wings thumb" if she remembered a dragon's anatomy correctly. She knelt to be closer and held out one of her lower hands. "May I see?" She saw the hesitance in his eyes before he slowly gave her his wounded hand. She looked at it for a second and could see that it was just a simple scratch. "Nothing to worry about. It'll sting for a bit but you should be fine."
Danny nodded. "Thanks." Once his hand was free of hers, he looked at his palm before shaking it to clear it up a bit.
Pandora stood back at her full height and put a pair of hands on her hips as she gave the boy a questioning look. "Well, now that I know that you are alright, would you mind telling me what you are doing in my realm? Apart from losing consciousness at the entrance."
Danny rubbed his arm as he was nervous about answering the large woman but since he had come here unannounced, he felt it was right that he told her. I wasn't exactly trying to come here. I was trying to find someone that would be able to help me with…..well, these." He pointed at his wings as they spread out, causing him to knock over another potted plant and for him to wince at breaking something else.
Pandora could tell that the boy was feeling more and more guilty about breaking things with his wings and figured that they would need more space to talk. "Perhaps we should continue this somewhere more spacious." She saw the grateful smile on his face before she floated in the air.
Danny was glad that they would be going somewhere he wouldn't break something. He focused on summoning his transformation ring but realized that he couldn't bring it out. He looked down at his waist as if it would give him an answer but all he saw was that he was in the same clothes he was in before. Looking up at Pandora, he nervously spoke up. "Uh… I can't transform so….. I can't fly."
Pandora raised an eyebrow at that and figured there must be more to this than she initially thought. She lowered back down and held out a hand.
He looked at the hand and slowly put his in hers. Once she had a grasp on it, she flew them away. He thought it was weird that he was being flown somewhere without his own flight. Not to mention that it was embarrassing to be brought along by the hand.
After a minute of flying, they arrived at a coliseum, something that Danny marveled at.
Pandora let the boy go and turned to him. "Now, as to your earlier answer, who was it that you were trying to find? I might be able to help you if I know of them."
Danny was brought back to the present at her inquiry. "Oh, I was trying to find Dora." He saw her raise an eyebrow at what he said and realized that the name could be synonymous with Pandora. "I mean Princess Dorathea. I call her Dora for short and she seemed to like it so I call her that when we see each other, though I haven't seen her in a while since our last date and I was thinking that we could go somewhere new next time- and I'm rambling." He realized that he was getting off-topic when he saw the amused smile on Pandora's face. Clearing his throat and hoping that his lush was gone, he got back to what he was really going to go see Dora for. "Well, the real reason I was looking for her was because of these wings. She is able to turn into a Dragon and these look like dragon wings so I was hoping she would be able to tell me what is going on since these kind of just showed up just before I arrived here."
Pandora thought about what he had told her and realized that this Princess Dorathea must be the Princess of the dragon kingdom of Aragon. She knew very little of the princess as she didn't even know her name til now. 'But….. does he not know about the dangers of the kingdom? Unless he is a member of his kingdom…' She eyed him and could see that his clothing was far too modern for him to be part of the Dragon kingdom. Wanting to clear up some of her confusion, she spoke. "Tell me, are you aware of the strife that the kingdom is in the middle of?"
Danny tilted his head as he had no idea what she was talking about. "What strife?"
That told her everything she needed to know. "The Kingdom of Aragon is in a state of turmoil as the ruler of that realm is in the process of war plans."
"War?!"
Pandora nodded at his panicked exclamation. "Yes, the ruler: Prince Aragon, had plans on expanding his territory. This has been something that he had planned on for some time, a few centuries I believe, but due to his desire for expansion, I do not believe that he would be very welcoming to someone that is not part of his kingdom."
Danny's mind was going over what she had just told him and couldn't help but wonder what part Dora played in these "war plans". He thought about his previous interactions with her and it now gave her timid nature two different possibilities. Either her nature was just a ploy to give false impressions or, the more painful reason, was because she was being treated poorly to the point of being timid. The small cynical part of him was saying it was the former, but the rest of him was saying it was more likely the latter.
Pandora saw that the boy was deep in thought about this new revelation to him but she wanted to learn more about his reasoning. "So tell me, Young one, what was the specific reason you needed to see Princess Dorathea? I understand you wanted to learn more about your wings but should you not already know about them? From what I have heard and what I have seen, you are the alleged Halfa that lives in the human realm, are you not?" Seeing him nod, she continued. "From when the rumors started, I would have assumed you would have already gotten a handle on these powers you have for the most part. But to only now be searching for assistance tells me that these wings are a new development."
Danny nodded. "Yeah, they just came out before I came here. I don't even know why they showed up but the main problem is that I can't get rid of them. I tried transforming to see if they would go away but all that happened was that they changed color."
Pandora lowered herself and brought her lower right hand forward to examine his left wing. She paused before touching them and looked at the boy's face. "May?"
Danny looked at the wing and shrugged. "Sure, go ahead." He watched her grab his wing just next to the talon and flinched as he could feel it.
Pandora hummed in thought as she saw Danny flinch from her touch. "Well, this is only an assumption, but it might be a delayed addition to you from your ghostly nature." She saw him raise an eyebrow at her and gave an example. "It would be similar to my extra arms. When I first arrived in the ghost zone, I only had two arms, much like any other person. Yet, after much time and my powers grew, these arms appeared. I assumed that it must have to do with myself reaching a threshold of power but as I said, it is only speculation."
Danny's gaze shifted from her extra arms to his wings as he dreaded hearing the answer to his question. "Is there a way to get rid of them? I mean, they're cool and all but I can't really walk around with these out in the open." He felt relieved when he saw her nod and suddenly, her arms faded away.
Pandora gestured to the spot her secondary right arm was and spoke. "It is merely a matter of containing your energy within your core. Though we cannot contain all of our power inside our core, storing enough can revert a ghost to a more human appearance. Such as if a ghost has a tail, containing enough power could make the tail disappear until they release their power once more.
Danny thought about it and smiled. "Contain my power, I can do that." He clenched his fists and shut his eyes as he tried to pull back his powers.
For a few silent seconds, they stood there waiting for something significant to happen.
Danny opened his eyes in worry as he realized that he couldn't control his powers. In fact, he couldn't feel them as much as he used to. He began to panic as he didn't feel his powers. He was sure he could feel them when he was flying in the Ghost zone but for some reason, he couldn't anymore. He looked up at her with clear panic on his face. "I can't feel my powers! Why can't I feel my powers?"
"Calm yourself, young one. I am sure there must be a reason for you not feeling your powers." She stood up and put a hand on her chin in thought. She could dress physical wounds but this was something deeper than her knowledge. It was after a minute of thought that she came up with a possible solution. She looked down at Danny and saw him pacing back and forth with his hands in his hair. She knelt down once more and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Young one, breathe." She watched as his hyperventilating slowed down till he took a deep breath and sagged. "Good. Now, I personally may not be able to help you with this but I know of someone who has a better chance of finding out what the issue is. If you would allow me, I may take you to them so that they could check you over. What is your choice?"
Danny felt relieved at the sound of finding out what was wrong with him. Despite how he sometimes wishes he didn't have these powers, he cannot deny how the pros really outdid the cons. The real issue he now had was that he just wished he didn't have to fight so often. And now, he couldn't help but feel fond of his powers, like they were part of him. Once he could find his voice, he nodded and meekly spoke. "Yes, please." He didn't know why but he felt a bit vulnerable in front of Pandora. There was just something about her that made him feel as such.
Pandora smiled as she stood up. "Good. Now, if you would wait for me, I must get our transport ready since you are unable to fly yourself." She began to walk toward an entry in the coliseum. "You may wait here as it will only take me a moment."
Danny nodded and watched her disappear into the coliseum hall. Once he was alone, he looked at his wings and brought his hand to poke them. He kept fussing over his wings till he noticed her coming in from the sky. He saw that she was riding a chariot that was being led by a pair of pegasi. He noticed that she was now wearing a set of golden gladiator armor, a helm, and a spear being held in one of her arms.
She landed in front of the boy, looked down at him, and gestured for him to stand next to her. "Shall we? We will be using this chariot to travel."
Danny tentatively got into the chariot before Pandora gently placed her lower left hand on his back to reassure him that everything was alright. He watched as she grabbed the reigns of the chariot before she whipped them to get the pegasi to begin pulling them. He was impressed at how fast they were going. His hands shot forward and grabbed the edge of the chariot as he felt himself being pushed back. He felt a pair of hands grab onto his wings and fold them in so that they wouldn't catch the wind. He looked up at Pandora and smiled gratefully for her helping him. Not only with his wings catching the wind but taking him somewhere that could help explain what is going on with his powers 'Wherever we are going, I hope they can help.' He looked at his wings and wondered what these people might find out.
~Amity Park, night~
Desiree was out among the town once more, wandering around the town her love calls home. She did this almost as a way to understand him by understanding her home. However, she did continue to catch the eye of the passing men. She would always ignore them as to her, they meant nothing. They were just the typical man who would wish for her, but only one man was allowed to have her. She heard the sound of jet boosters and looked up in time to see the Red Huntress flying overhead.
The red huntress paused in her flight before she turned to move toward the ghost in hiding.
As a precaution, Desiree slightly swished her hand to set up a slight layer of magic around her body. She watched as the Huntress paused in her flight and she could see that the girl on the jet board was looking around as if she lost her target. It wasn't a minute later that she watched as the Red Huntress flew away. She smiled at how she was able to hide herself from the ghost trackers that the hunters had even if they were in close proximity. She was one of the few who could do that as her powers have a variety of different applications. And thanks to her gaining power from the wishes, she could use this power for a very long time and hide herself from the best of trackers.
But this was as long as she was maintaining her human appearance. Using ghost powers tends to trip all sensors.
When she looked back at the street, she noticed that she was next to the School that she assumed Danny went to. It was the only high school in Amity Park. She hummed in thought for a moment before she looked around to see if there were any witnesses. She saw that she was in the clear before she walked up to the building and phased inside. She looked around to see that all the lights were off, causing her to frown. She waved her hands, turning on all the lights in the school hallway. Glancing at the halls, she began to walk while inspecting the facility. "Locations of studies have truly changed after so long. But these facilities are filthy. Rusted metal, sticky floors, overall this place is unworthy of my love.
Was she putting Danny on a higher standard? Yeah. Did she know that? Yes. did she care…no.
She continued to explore the facility, phasing into classrooms to see how things were done. She even looked into the lockers to see what they were used for and saw that they were in essence; places to store supplies. She hummed at that before she continued her exploration. She paused as she entered the large room that smelled of food. She pursed her lips as she looked around at several spots that looked filthy. She could see remnants of food that was not cleaned and left where it was for however long. But that wasn't the thing that caught her attention. She could detect some echos of Ecto energy. Not a lot to truly be of notice but as a full ghost herself, she could feel it. Though not many ghosts were able to sense ghost energy. However, her ability to feel out a ghost was nowhere close to Danny's ability to detect ghosts. She had to focus in order to do it and only small bits of it. He on the other hand could detect a ghost passively which was more useful and she knew that he might be able to track ghosts more efficiently if he practiced it.
She didn't feel like boasting….. Too much. She knew she was a very powerful ghost who had many abilities thanks to their nature. But she also knew that her powers used to be a double-edged sword. They could be used to power herself up, but also to cause her the inability to fight back. It is why despite knowing she is powerful, she would not allow it to go to her head.
She moved over to the kitchen and looked around for any sign that would tell her why or who. There wasn't anything that would tell her but she did know that there was enough to tell her that the ghost had come here multiple times. She smiled as she knew that Danny would have known about it and if the ghost came here multiple times told her that he was allowing it. 'He must be allowing the ghost to take up its obsession here.' As she thought about him, she felt the need to find the locker Danny used. Mainly out of curiosity. She found two lockers that had a signature of ghost energy. However, the one with the weakest signature was a rusted one that was empty. The one with the stronger signature was obviously his. She felt accomplished finding it. She then leaned her back on his locker as she thought about him before her mind went to where he was at the moment. It had been a bit since she had seen him.
It did bug her that she hadn't seen him and began to wonder what she could do in order to fix that.
~Ghost zone~
"...and that led me here. Honestly, I only do what I can to stop the ghosts from causing trouble but a few of them were ok and I just let them be."
Danny had finished telling Pandora about how he got his powers, the fights he had been in, and what happened that led him here.
Pandora listened tentatively to everything that the boy had to tell her and she could not help but think that he had gone through a lot in his young life. "I must say, you have courage to live with these new developments in your life. It is good that you have those who would stand with you through it all."
Danny nodded before he leaned his head on the edge of the chariot. "Yeah, but sometimes I wonder about my powers. I do think they are cool but they also brought a lot of issues in my life. My grades are getting bad, I don't have many friends, especially after what my oldest friend tried to do to me after he got powers for a time, and then there are these things." He pointed at his wings as he had to focus on them again to make sure they didn't open up.
Pandora placed one of her hands on his shoulder, causing him to look up at her as she gave him a sympathetic smile. "One thing I know from the many years I have existed, I know that life can throw many things in your path. There is a chance that you will lose those around you and you may find yourself alone, but as long as you continue, you will find those who will not only push you forward, but they will stand by you in the face of adversities. Tell me, do you not have those around you that will do as such?" She gave him a knowing smile as she heard how fond the boy was when he spoke of a couple of females.
Danny blushed at that before he thought that this would be the best chance he could get some advice. "Yeah, there are. But do you mind if I ask you something?" Seeing her nod, he took a breath. "Well…. It's just….. I have multiple girls that….want to be more with me but I don't know what to do. I mean, I care about them a lot but I don't know if it is ok for me to… be with them at the same time." he sighed as he layed his head on his arms as he leaned on the side of the chariot. "I don't want to hurt them."
Pandora could see where the boy was coming from and what it was he wished to know. "You are basing your confusion on human standards. But what you should know is that for ghosts, it is not as restrictive. We who have once lived and died tend to let go of those restrictions. We allow our desires to take more of a hold on our being and as such, we are not limited on such matters. There are those who still maintain a majority of what we used to have from our time with the living, which is why you would see a lot of matters that seem to parallel that of the living. Yet, for this matter, it is not frowned upon as much as it is in the human world." She placed her hand on his head as she gently stroked his hair to calm him down. "My advice to you is; if your heart reaches out to these females and their's to yours, then reach out and take hold of this happiness. As long as you seek to make them happy, then there is no fault on your part."
Danny gained a soft smile at her words as it made his worries lower as he still had these doubts in his head. But thanks to Pandora, he didn't need to worry about it anymore. 'I'll do my best… for them.'
Pandora smiled seeing that the look of concern was fading. She turned back ahead as she felt that they were nearing their destination. "We are almost there."
Danny looked ahead to see where they were. He hadn't really looked around during the trip as he spent a lot of time telling her about his story. Now that he didn't have his mind on other matters, he finally looked around. It was then that he realized that the surroundings were not as green as he thought they would be. They were white and blue floating chunks as they flew by. It was then that he realized that it was snowing. He held up a hand and caught some of the falling white particles and saw that it was indeed snow. 'But, why don't I feel cold?'
Pandora saw the center of the land and made her way to it. The pegasi landed in a large empty field for the two passengers to depart. Pandora moved to the equine and placed a hand on them.
Danny felt the snow crunch under his feet as he looked around at the frozen landscape. He walked up to her and asked. "Um... Pandora, what are we doing here? And where is here?" He gestured to their surroundings to emphasize the subject of his question.
Pandora smiled a the boy before she turned her head to the right. "The home of these denizens."
Danny turned to where she was looking to see that they were being approached by large creatures. Once they were close enough, he couldn't help but think to himself. 'I found the legendary yeti! And there's more than one!'
Once the yetis made it to them, one of them spoke. "Lady Pandora, it is an honor for you to visit us. Though, I am sure it would have been more appropriate to notify us beforehand so that we could prepare for your arrival."
Pandora bowed in greeting to them. "Forgive me, but this visit was something I had not planned until I heard of this young one's strife."
Danny felt nervous as the two large yetis turned their gazes to him and he subconsciously hid behind Pandora. He didn't know why but he suddenly felt like a little kid. It might be because he felt vulnerable from telling her his story and not having access to his powers. He waved nervously at the two. "...hi."
Pandora couldn't help but find it amusing to see the boy act like this. It reminded her of what she had seen children to with their mothers.
The yetis titled their head with the first one confessing his confusion. "I had not known that the Dragon kin were able to partially reveal their transformation."
Danny tilted his head at what he called him.
Pandora shook her head as she gestured to the boy behind her. "He is not of the Kingdom of Aaragon. He is actually the halfa who has been rumored to be the protector of the world beyond the portal."
The yetis looked at the boy in intrigue. The first yeti smiled at the boy. "It is a pleasure to meet the young Halfa." He bowed to the boy before looking at Pandora. "Though, that still does not explain what the meaning of your visit is."
Pandora nodded. "He had come crashing down in my realm and had been unconscious for some time. Not only that, he has stated that he is unable to access his powers. Since I am unable to find the reason myself, I figured that the people of the Far-frozen would be more knowledgeable and have the capability to unveil the cause of the young one's problem."
The yetis looked at each other before they nodded. One then gestured for them to follow while the other walked up to the chariot. "We will take you to Frostbite so that you may ask him of this favor. My companion will take your pegasi inside so they do not have to weather the cold." With that, he began to lead the two inside a cave.
Danny was a little concerned about going into a cave system that belonged to large furry yeti ghosts but he didn't feel that worried with Pandora here. Figuring that it would be best to ask now, he looked up at the tall woman. "Hey, Pandora, is all that snow just some sort of illusion or something?"
Pandora raised an eyebrow at the question. "No, that is true pure ecto-snow. Why do you ask?"
Danny rubbed the back of his neck as her answer told him that it was actually snow and his question must have sounded stupid. "Well, it's just that, you don't seem cold. In fact, I don't feel cold, even though I don't have a jacket on and short-sleeved shirts aren't known for keeping someone warm."
Pandora gestured to herself as she began to explain. "The reason I do not feel the chill of the Far Frozen is due to my Fire core. I use my flame to increase my temperature in order to fight off the chill. But I keep the heat within me so as not to cause the ice around to melt. Though, it would take an exuberant amount of it to cause the ice of these lands to melt. As for you, I am unsure. There are many different reasons for that but I am sure we will find out after we get you checked up."
Danny raised an eyebrow at that but they soon entered a room that was much more high-tech than he thought ….well, anywhere would be. It almost looked like something he saw in a scifi movie.
Pandora watched as the boy looked around in wonder and softly smiled at his childish glee.
"Ah, Lady Pandora, it is a pleasure to see you again."
Danny looked toward the one that spoke and could tell that this must be the leader of the Yeti people. The fact that he was wearing a more fancy blue garb and that his right arm was made out of transparent ice, showing the skeleton of the arm. Those just told him that he was the leader.
Pandora smiled at the leader. "Frostbite, the pleasure is mine. I can say, that despite how this visit is not one of leisure, it is not a grave matter."
Frostbite bowed to the leader and fellow guardian of a powerful artifact. "Well, if it is a matter I can assist in, I am pleased to do so."
Pandora nodded as she stepped to the side to reveal Danny to Frostbite. "The matter has to do with this young one here." Seeing that Danny was nervous about being the center of attention, she chose to speak on his behalf. "This is the young halfa that has made a name for himself among our kind. He had come to the ghost zone in order to find answers for his newest development-" She gestured to the wings on the boy's back "-and due to him flying through the zone in a panic, he ended up at my acropolis. He had told me the story that led him here, as well as how his powers seem to no longer be responding to his will, and I felt that you would be the best one to find out what the problem is. I have a theory, but I will not give an answer that very well might be incorrect."
Frostbite walked up to the boy and leaned forward to get a better look at him. "Hmm, so this is the boy who has become the spite of many in the zone."
Danny felt nervous about the large yeti being so close to him when he didn't have access to his powers. "Um…is that a problem?" He jumped when the large yeti gave a barking laugh at the question.
Frostbite was able to calm himself before he gave a big toothy smile to the boy. "No, my lad, I have heard of the ones you had fought and I see nothing wrong with what you have done. You defend your home and send those instigators back to the Ghost zone. I have also heard of your friendly nature to our kind and I must say, you have more honor and respect for our kind than what I have heard what the humans have for us." Seeing the boy relax, he moved on to the issue of the matter. "Now, may you tell me the details of how you have come to acquire these?" He gestured to the wings as he gained an analytical expression. "I have never seen those of the Dragon kingdom possess the ability to reveal such aspects of their draconic form and from what I heard, you are not of that kingdom."
Danny took a breath before he gave the details of what led up to the wings coming out. He was asked to go back to when he gained his powers just in case there was something that would give him details, he even told about his first encounter with one from the dragon kingdom.
After Danny finished, Frostbite rubbed his chin in thought. "Hmm, I still do not see what could be the cause of you losing your powers. From what I can understand, if this was like one of your abilities developing, you should have been able to withdraw them, not to mention that you would have had inklings of such a thing early on."
Danny slumped, his wings doing the same, as he began to think that the guy wouldn't be able to help him. "So, you can't help?"
Frostbite paused his pacing and looked at the boy. "Oh, I am sure we can find out what the problem is, i just wanted to think about it as it is always appealing trying to think of the solution in the mind." He looked over to his right at his equipment and thought about the best way to analyze the boy. He smiled before he gestured for the boy to follow him. "This way, we will find out what the issue might be."
Danny followed Frostbite before pausing and looking over to Pandora.
The tall woman smiled before following them.
The three walked up to a large high-tech table that had a curved arm that came from the bottom of the table and hung over it. It was large enough for any of the Yeti people to lay on and still have room.
Frostbite patted the table as he looked at the boy. "If you would, please lay on the table. This device will scan your body and give us a reading of your body so that we may find out what might be the issue.
Danny looked at the table, and couldn't help but give it a flat look as the table was taller than him. He walked up to it and tried to float up, till he realized that he couldn't do that. He let out a frustrated sigh as he couldn't float thanks to his powers not working and whatever was causing his powers to be as such was keeping him grounded. He couldn't float, or go through ghostly walls like he could before with his human half. He was about to jump up to pull himself up onto the table till he felt himself being picked up and placed on the table. He looked behind him to see that Pandora smiled at him and put her lower hands on her hips. He blushed at how he was picked up and placed on the table like he was a little kid. He pushed down his blush as he moved over to the center of the table and layed down. It took him a second as he tried to move his wings so that they would spread out. He still had no control of them. He even sat up and pushed them down as they would fold up again. After a bit of struggle, he was able to keep them spread out and down before he spoke to Frostbite. "Please hurry up and scan 'cause I feel like they are about to move again."
Pandora covered her mouth to stifle her laughter as Frostbite gave a hearty chuckle.
Frostbite moved to the console next to the table, pressed a few keys, and turned a nob to get the scanner to activate.
Danny watched as the arm over him began to run over his body and he had to put all his willpower into keeping his wings down. They almost flung forward when the light of the scanner moved over his face. It was a bit more tiring as the scanner did two runs over his body before it ended.
Frostbite nodded before he pressed a few more keys on the console, getting a screen to come down from the ceiling and show the results of the scan as it gave a diagram of the boy's data. He moved to stand in front of it and looked over the data.
Danny sat up and looked at the screen but he couldn't get any of the information it said. "Well, whats the prognosis, doc?"
Frostbite rubbed his chin as his eyes scanned all of it. It was when his eyes stopped at the center of the boy's layout that he asked a question. "How long have you had your powers?"
Danny thought about it for a minute before answering. "A few months."
"And you said you met the dragon princess only a few weeks afterward right? Can you tell me everything about the meeting? Even the smallest detail can help."
Danny went over the event where he first met Dora. Not when he met her in her human form but his time when he fought her when she was a dragon.
Frostbite looked at the boy and asked. "And the device you found yourself under, what is the purpose of it?"
Danny thought back to what his parents said it did. "It's supposed to separate ghostly elements from someone."
"And you said that you had ripped off the necklace that the dragon princess had around her neck, but have no idea where it had gone."
Danny nodded. "Yeah, why?"
Frostbite hummed in thought before turning to the screen. "I cannot a hundred percent answer as this is just speculation, but I believe that since the device was in its prototype phase, it might have caused a reverse effect with its capabilities and caused a sort of…..fusion of your core and the draconic amulet." He pulled out a remote and pointed it at the screen, causing it to zoom in on the flat layout of the boy's body to show a circular object.
The circular object was a small blue orb that had whisps of white flowing within it. Yet on the right side of it was something gold and green looking like it was half-mooned over it. It looked like it was the sun with a partial eclipse. Not only that but at the center of the orb, looked like there was some serpent pupil that was fading in and out.
He pointed at it as he gave his thoughts on the results. "Based on the size of your core, I can tell that it is very young and still developing. But all the cores I have seen, regardless of elements, have never had something like this-" he pointed to the gold and green part "-on any of the cores, not even the data we have their cores have something like this. It almost looks like it is trying to take over your core as it is spreading over it." He looked over to the boy and saw the look of panic on his face before he realized how his words might have caused the boy to worry. "Despite what I said, I do not believe it is detrimental. From what I can tell, it is an element that has clung to your core, but in its attempt to claim it, your core has begun to adapt this new element to it." He pointed the remote to the screen and zoomed in on the element. "Look here. The coloration of this element is being converted into the same coloration of your core. If my theory is correct, it should become a complete part of your core at some point. But due to your core converting this element, it explains why your powers are not accessible as your core is focusing on the task. It also explains how your human form is more solid in the ghost zone than other humans. Your core is releasing a small amount of ghost energy throughout your body, pouting you in an in-between of your ghost form and human form. Now, the reason I believe that you have fused with the draconic amulet is due the this part here." He pointed at the center of the cor. "This reminds me of the draconic eye I have witnessed appear on the amulet before they transform. Again, your core seems to be converting the amulet I believe was fused with your core." He turned to the two who were listening to him attentively with the younger of the two looking at him in pure shock. "I would recommend that you do your best to take things easy. Your powers should return in due time. You should still have access to smaller powers, such as intangibility and invisibility. Which is very good, as you will be able to hide them while in the presence of the humans. However, the less you use them, the quicker it is for your core to finish this process." He then put his hand on his chin once more as he thought about this in interest. "This has been the first time I have ever heard of such a thing. I would like it if you came here at regular intervals so that we would be able to keep track of this development. That is if you are willing, of course."
Danny blinked at everything he had just learned before shaking his head free of his daze and answering. "Sure, I would like to make sure nothing bad is happening to me. And if you can keep it that way, I'll come here as often as you want me to."
Frostbite nodded before he pressed a button on the remote and the screen turned off before it slowly lifted to the ceiling. "Yes, as I said, this is just an odd occurrence, not a bad one. So once your powers stabilize, you should be able to control the appearance of those wings."
Danny jumped off the table and gave the large yeti a grateful smile. "Thanks for your help, Frostbite-" He looked back to Pandora and nodded to her. "- both of you."
Frostbite patted the boy's shoulder. "It was my pleasure to aid you in your time of need. You have done good for ghosts and I feel this is the least we can do for your understanding of our kind."
Pandora placed a hand on his back and nodded to him. "I felt it was what I must do, easing your troubles. Such as why I took care of you when you came to my realm."
Danny nodded to both of them and he felt relieved knowing that his powers would get back to normal soon if he didn't use his powers. Should be easy.
He then remembered something that he wanted to know that they didn't get to. Looking at the large yeti, he asked. "Oh, Frostbite, I wanted to ask something earlier but I almost forgot about it." Seeing the ghost raise an eyebrow, he continued. "I asked pandora why she wasn't cold and she told me that she had a fire core and using it to keep her warm. But I don't feel cold even though we are surrounded by snow."
Frostbite smiled as he stood up to his full height. "That, my young friend, is simple."
Danny was close to holding his breath for the answer.
"You have an ice core."
~next day~
Pandora had taken him directly back to the entrance of the portal after the meeting with Frostbite. They gave fond farewells as she flew off back to her realm while he made his way through the portal. He made a mental note to go visit her again. He really enjoyed his time with her and he felt like he should spend more time with her. Looking around the lab, he could see that his parents had been in the lab sometime he was gone as there were new scorch marks and green sludge here and there. He grimaced at the thought of where those could come from but he still had other thoughts in his head. Not only about the new developments about his powers but what could have happened while he was gone.
Danny was making his way through the hallways of the school as he nervously wondered how he hadn't been expelled yet. He had been gone for so long and yet there was no call to his parents about it. Not only that, it seemed his parents didn't even realize he was gone. Whatever new project they had was really getting all their attention.
"Ah, Mr. Fenton, be sure to make it to class this time. Being late is never recommended."
Danny turned to see Mr. Lancer walking down the hall and heading in a direction that didn't lead to his class. He raised an eyebrow as he wondered if there was something that took the teacher's attention before he went to the classroom. Choosing to take the chance, he made his way to the class and smiled as he made it before the teacher did. He walked in and took a breath. "Least I made it before Mr. Lancer."
"Ah, Mr. Fenton, it is good to see you made it on time."
Danny's head bolted up as he recognized that voice. His brain froze at the sight of what was looking back at him.
Long black hair that covered one of her eyes.
Bright blue eyes
Purple eyeshadow and lipstick
Smooth chocolate skin
A tight-fitting white dress shirt
A black secretary skirt over long crossed legs
And a golden necklace that he had seen only on one person.
"Desiree!?"
A soft smile came onto the woman's face that looked back at him fondly.
~Later~
Danny hadn't been able to pay attention to anything that was spoken on during the lesson. His mind was trying to figure out how and why Desiree was here. The only thing that brought him out of his daze was the ringing of the bell.
"Alright, class, you are all free to head to lunch. Be sure to return in time for the next class, am I clear?"
The class droned out in tandem. "Yes, Miss Williams."
She nodded as she watched the class leave. It wasn't until they had all left that she saw that Danny had remained in his seat. She walked over to him as she had an idea why he was still there. Happy to see him after some time, she put a sway to her hips, something she saw he noticed. Once he stood over him in the seat, she gave him a sultry smile. "Was there something you needed to speak with me about, Mr. Fenton?"
Danny shook his head as he opened his mouth to ask what she was doing here, only to have them thrown out as he felt her lips on his and her hands cupping his face.
"Hmm~ mmm."
Danny didn't know he had missed this feeling and he began to kiss her back as he brought his hand up over hers. Focused on her lips, he lost focus on his intangibility and invisibility, causing his wings to appear as they spread open.
Desiree ended the kiss and smiled at him before her eyes went to what was behind him. She looked at them in awe. "My…. this is a nice surprise."
Danny shook his head to get out of his daze and looked at his wings. "Oh, great." He made them invisible again before looking at the woman. "Desiree, what are you doing here? And why are you here as a teacher?"
Desiree smiled as she sat on the desk in front of him, crossing her legs, and smirked as she saw his eyes eyed them. "It was a whim, actually. During my usual exploration of the town, I had ended up here at your school and began to see what this place has to offer. As I saw this facility, I was unimpressed, but you had told me that you wish to attend school in order for you to achieve your dream of reaching the stars so I knew that I would keep that to myself. However, while I was here, I turned out to not be the only one. I discovered the principal going over some records of the students and was looking at yours in particular. Due to you not being in attendance for some time and not being here for days, they began the process of expelling you from this school. Not wanting you to lose your chance at achieving your dream, I intervened and overshadowed the woman to stop her and implant the thought of letting you continue." she let out a small chuckle as she cupped her face and looked at the boy. "It was a simple thing, but after I did that, I still wanted to aid you a bit more till the idea of being an instructor of your class to help you when you need it came to me. Another simple task as I have extensive knowledge of history as I expanded on the knowledge of what I had missed during my time sealed in the lamp. So with a bit more overshadowing, I gained the position and awaited for your return. Seeing that expression when you realized it was me will be one of my favorite memories." She leaned forward, allowing him to get a better view of her assets, she brought a hand up and poked him on the nose. "Now, will you tell me what happened to cause you to be away from me for so long?" Her eyes went to where his wings hid from sight.
Danny sighed as he began to tell her what happened to him in the last few days.
Desiree was awed by what happened to Danny as she made a mental note to get back at Spectra for causing him to anger himself to the point of going berserk. "That is quite the tale. I have never heard of such a thing before, but I supposed I do not know everything."
Danny nodded. "I just hope my powers get back to normal as keeping these things hidden takes some focus on my part."
Desiree smiled as she patted his cheek. "From what you have told me, it should be soon, and I will be here to aid you when you need it." She kissed him again and enjoyed how he returned it with a bit of desire. The bell rang, causing her to groan in frustration. Pulling away, she smiled at him. "We can continue later on. A private lesson with your teacher~." seeing him blush, she stood up. "Oh, and there is another new surprise coming to the class. It is not only for you though, but for the whole class. This was brought up to me only yesterday and you came just in time for it."
Danny raised an eyebrow at her. "What surprise?"
Desiree walked back to her desk before she picked up a piece of paper. "You will see." She looked at the paper so she could read the contents.
Soon the rest of the class came back into the class and made their way to their seats.
Danny felt his stomach growl and he silently groaned at how he had missed lunch. He would just have to get something later when school ends.
Desiree waited for the class to reach the point where they would listen to her. "Alright, Class, now that you have returned from your lunch, I have an announcement to make." Seeing them all give her their attention, she began. "We have a new addition to the class, and I was informed that they would be coming at this time."
*knock knock*
Desiree looked to the door. "And that would be them." She looked back at the class. "We have a new student joining our class today." She looked to the door and called out. "You may enter."
The door opened and in walked in a girl who got most of the boys drooling at her appearance.
The girl stood next to the desk and all the boys took in her appearance.
She was wearing tall dark green boots that reached her thighs, a green shoulderless blouse, a deep dark purple overbust corset skirt with the skirt being black with red trimming, a green skirt around her waist, and she had long gloves that reached her elbow. She had a fair blemish-free complexion, purple lipstick, and purple eyeshadow that brought out her bright red eyes. Her slightly shaggy black hair reached her shoulders while a portion of it was held up in a small high ponytail.
Desiree looked at the girl and gestured to the class. "You may introduce yourself."
The girl looked at the class and smiled. "My name is Samantha, nice to meet you."
End of Chapter
To stop anyone from stating, no she is not an addition to the harem. I have plans and you will have to wait and see it
On that note, a lot of you are saying I should add Kitty, and despite how seeing the suggestion has been influencing me to add her, I think the three that are set up to be, are all that will be set. Maybe in another of my Danny Phantom fics where the pairing isn't set yet.
For Desiree's last name, it is an easter egg that references another famous genie
