What would they do if fate gave them the possibility of having a wish? Many would ask for things that are in the deepest part of us. The end of a war, immortality, even being powerful. But. What if that desire brings with it a curse as a punishment for our selfishness in the heart.
During years. Hidden in the shadows not only from monsters, but also from humans. There is an object capable of fulfilling a woman's wish depending on how pure the person's intentions are. An object, named. The Skull Heart.
No one knows who created it. No one knows where it appeared or who was responsible for the immense power within it. But everyone knows one thing for sure, the Skull Heart brings with it a terrible curse to those who dare to touch it or, above all, make a wish.
When a woman makes a wish. The Skull Heart will take action on the matter depending on how pure the intentions of that desire are, in case the desire is selfish or impure of heart. The Skull Heart will be in charge of turning the woman into a being of unstoppable destruction.
The Skullgirls. Beings with destructive powers and enormous power with a clear objective, to defend the Skull Heart against any attempt to make someone make a wish or destroy it. However, the first Skullgirls are said to have been defeated but the whereabouts of the Skull Heath are unknown. Until today.
Chaos, destruction, corpses around. It was a terrible sight for a young Bloodgood who was holding an umbrella with difficulty, the umbrella seemed to be almost destroyed and the clothes the woman was wearing were almost destroyed.
The woman's gaze seemed blurred as she looked at a woman but in front of Bloodgood was a red-haired man approaching.
"You fought with honor, Bloodgood. I hope to god that one day you and Nancy can meet again, or you can forgive me for my actions. I always looked for the best for everyone, but I was a fool for my actions. I hope you can forgive me." Said the man while the subject seemed to be carrying a golden umbrella with him.
Bloodgood weakly stretched out his arm but suddenly everything was covered in a grim glow making the woman have no choice but to close her eyes.
The woman woke up with a loud scream that made her horse neigh due to fright and suddenly the door was opened by me and Rochelle.
"Miss Bloodgood, is everything alright!? What happened!?" I yelled as I quickly brought out my flaming sword and Rochelle went into a fighting stance but we saw that the woman looked scared.
"Director, are you okay?" Rochelle asked with concern as the woman touched her chest to relax her heart.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just, I had a little nightmare. I think I fell asleep through all my paperwork." Bloodgood said as the woman looked at the leaves around her.
"You shouldn't spend so much time on paperwork, Bloodgood. Perhaps it would be best if you rested." I said with concern making the woman think about my proposal.
"That's right, maybe I need to take a little break. Umm, Benja can I see you later after school? I want to talk to you about something." Bloodgood said as the woman looked at me.
"Okay, headmistress. I'll come later after school." I said as Rochelle and I left the room.
"Rochelle, do you think Bloodgood is okay?" I asked with concern making the girl take my hand.
"Don't worry, honey. I'm pretty sure she'll be fine, now let's go. We've got a long day ahead of us." Rochelle said with a smile as the two walked through the corridors but we never saw that inside Bloodgood's office, the woman was thinking about something very seriously.
Bloodgood rose from his seat before walking over to a small display case where his diplomas were displayed as well as the school crest. However, among all the things was an old, dusty and almost destroyed umbrella.
"Nightmare, we better get ready. We have a job." Bloodgood said as the woman seemed to think of something while the woman's eyes did not leave the umbrella.
The day passed normally until the end. When I entered Bloodgood's office I saw that the woman was putting some things in her bag.
"Miss Bloodgood. Is everything okay?" I asked worriedly as the woman finished packing before looking at me.
"Benja, it's good to see you've arrived. Listen I need to ask you a favor and I hope I can count on your help." The woman said making me nod.
"I need you to take care of the school in my absence. I have important business to attend to in a city and I can't just leave the school like that. The student council gave me permission to withdraw for a while, until then I want you to be in charge of the school while I'm away." Bloodgood said which surprised me a lot.
"But, Miss Bloodgood. Are you sure about this? I mean, you won't need help?" I asked worriedly but Bloodgood shook his head.
"This is something I have to do myself. We'll keep in touch until I get back, in the meantime you'll take care of the school paperwork. The other teachers already know this so don't worry about your homework, once I get back the teachers will give you the pending homework." The headmistress said before getting on her horse.
"Please Be Careful." I said with some concern making Bloodgood smile.
"I'll be careful, Benja. Take good care of Monster High until I get back." the woman said before leaving in Nightmare.
The first few days were normal. Bloodgood kept me informed by telling me how I was doing and how things were going at Monster High. However, communications were cut off some time later which made me very worried. I tried to contact Bloodgood but it was useless, it was as if she had disappeared.
"Did you want to see me, darling?" Rochelle asked as she walked into Bloodgood's office while I watched the Monster High entrance from the front door.
"Rochelle. Tell me, how long has it been since Bloodgood left?" I asked seriously making the girl also get serious.
"About two weeks ago." The gargoyle girl's reply made me turn serious.
"This is serious. It's been a long time since Bloodgood contacted us, this is very serious. I just hope she's okay." I said with concern but then I heard something.
"That sound. It's from Nightmare, Bloodgood is back!!" I yelled with joy as Rochelle and I quickly ran to the entrance of Monster High but to our surprise and horror we only saw the horse arrive, the poor animal was very exhausted.
"Nightmare!!. Voltage, what happened to you!?" I yelled in concern as the horse had a panicked expression on his face before indicating a small bag on his saddle.
"Do you have something inside your mount?" I asked as I searched inside the pockets until I found a letter. When I began to read it, fear invaded me as well as Rochelle.
"Benja, if you're reading this it's because I'm in big trouble. This was supposed to be easy but it was the opposite, now I'm in serious trouble. I wanted to contact you but my icoffin broke, something is chasing me and I feel like I have a lot of time left. Please you have to come get me, I'm in." At the end of the letter it was torn which only increased the fear.
"This is bad, this is very very bad. What are we going to do!?" Rochelle yelled with concern causing me to get serious.
"I'm going out, and I'm going to find Bloodgood. Nightmare, I want you to rest, eat and drink all the water you need. I want you to take me to where Bloodgood is." I said seriously making the horse nod his head.
"Benja, are you sure about this?" Rochelle asked fearfully.
"Bloodgood gave me a home at Monster High, and it is my responsibility to protect every person in this school. I will not let anything bad happen to her." I said seriously while looking at the girl.
"Very well, it will be better to make a statement. But classes cannot be suspended, someone else will have to take over." Rochelle said seriously making me think.
"I have someone in mind. I don't know if he's ready for this, but there's no better choice. Come on, I need to tell the team this." I said seriously as Rochelle and I headed back to school.
The minutes passed. We let Nightmare rest as much as she wanted while I packed up a few things for the trip, though.
"You can not go away!!." Draculaura yelled as the girl hugged me tightly.
"I have no choice Draculaura, I have to go find Bloodgood. She is possibly in serious trouble and I can't let anything bad happen to her, but I promise I'll be back soon." I said as I keep my Icoffin in one of my pockets.
"Then I'll go with you!!. A younger sister always has to be together with her older brother!!." The vampire girl yelled seriously making me a little nervous.
"I'm sorry Draculaura, but you can't. It can be very dangerous and I don't want anything bad to happen to you." I said with concern making the girl pout but at which point Clawdeen would put a hand on Draculaura's shoulder.
"Don't worry Draculaura, Benja will be back. I don't like the idea of him leaving either, but everyone is worried about Bloodgood and Benja might be perfect for finding the headmistress." Clawdeen said making the vampire girl sigh.
"Very good. But take your chargers, your cell phones, your clothes, your backpack, books, training weapons, exercise equipment, a photo of us is mandatory." The vampire girl began to fill my backpack with many things making us all see this with an anime-style drop of sweat.
"Benja. Nightmare is ready, he's outside at the entrance of Monster High." Frankie said as the girl looks at me and at that moment I was surprised when Draculaura gave me my backpack as well as other things.
"Very good. Remember to call me every day and don't think about forgetting to text me, brush your teeth and stay out of harm's way." The vampire girl said seriously making me laugh shyly.
"Draculaura, calm down. I'll be fine." I said with a shy smile as we all headed to the entrance of Monster High.
"Good luck Benja, I hope you find Bloodgood." Frankie said with concern as we both kiss each other goodbye and hug.
"I promise, I will find her." I said with a smile as I climb on top of Nightmare.
"Come on Nightmare, take me to bloodgood." I said smiling making the horse quickly run away while everyone says goodbye to me.
The hours passed. Nightmare never seemed to stop while I was very serious and worried, hoping that Bloodgood was safe and that nothing bad had happened to him. We went through everything that was in our way without any rest but then I noticed that Nightmare slowly started to creep forward.
"Nightmare, is everything okay?" At that moment the horse stopped and we saw that in front of us there was a city. The city was illuminated by multiple illuminated signs that showed each part of the city, and the buildings were huge.
"What city is this?." I asked before looking at a pole nearby.
"Welcome to New Meridian. This is where you've come with bloodgood?" I asked before looking at the horse, Nightmare nodded with a panicked expression on her face.
"Alright, let's go, Nightmare." I tried to move forward but the horse seemed to refuse to take a step, his expression of fear was immense and his body trembled.
"I see. Alright, in that case I'll continue on foot. Go back to New Salem, I'll take care of this." I said as I got off the horse but the animal looked at me with concern.
"I'll be fine, Nightmare. Please come back. I don't want to force you to do something you don't want to do, I don't blame you for being afraid. I promise I'll be fine, now come back and rest." I said while petting the horse. Nightmare just nodded worriedly before giving me one last look before walking away.
"Very well. I think the ideal would be to wear something that doesn't attract attention." I said as I check my backpack.
Now I am wearing a black raincoat with shoes of the same color, the raincoat was open and showed that I now wore a white shirt while in my head I wore a black hat to try to hide a little secret.
"I hope for the most sacred that Bloodgood is fine." I said with concern before I started flying to go to the closest to the city.
In another place. More precisely in a castle, armed men could be seen wearing military clothing, their faces were impossible to see due to gas masks that men wore. The castle seemed to be heavily guarded while inside, the soldiers patrolled and made their regulatory guard change.
In one of the castle rooms, you could see a pink room covered with multiple toys. Stuffed animals, a small castle, a tea game, and a huge bed. Two people were seen inside the room.
The first person was a woman with red hair. The woman wore a set of black clothes but a silver reversed cross stood out on her chest. While the other person was a pink-haired girl, the girl wore a simple pajamas while next to her was an umbrella. But this umbrella was a bit strange because the object had multiple eyes.
"All right, Umbrella. It's time to sleep, let's see. We've been reading "Annie: Girl with the Stars." I think we'll leave it at that." The redheaded woman was going to continue speaking but then she heard the little girl let out an annoyed sigh before sitting up on the bed.
"Noooo! I'm too old for those stupid stories of Annie. She's a stupid boring santurrona." Umbrella said with annoyance causing the red-haired woman to remain silent.
"Well. What story do you prefer then?" Asked the red-haired woman with curiosity making Umbrella laugh a little.
"How did mom become the Skullgirl?" Umbrella asked with a smile but the girl's question made the redheaded woman feel uncomfortable.
"Oh. Umm, are you sure? Don't you want something more fun? Like, why are the Gigans so big or how to manage an elite military force in peacetime?" The woman asked hoping to change the request, but Umbrella got upset.
"No!! Everyone acts weird when I ask them about her. You're the ONLY person I can ask her about. And you're always up for the honor thing. So you have to tell me!!" Umbrella yelled angrily making the redheaded woman sigh a little.
"Okay, okay. Where to start." The red-haired woman sat on the bed and tried to relax before she started telling the story.
"Well, seven years ago, there were three kingdoms at war with each other. Ours, the Chess kingdom, and the giant nation." The woman began to tell the story while Umbrella listened carefully.
On the outskirts of the city, almost near the exit I slowly began to stop flying before entering the city. I looked around curiously, the streets seemed quiet with people in their cars and some walking around in suits.
"This city is huge. It will take me a long time to find Bloodgood." I said with a bit of disappointment. I can easily fly to see the surroundings, but I didn't want to scare people.
"Damn. I have no choice but to resort to walking, I hope I can find the headmistress soon." I said before I kept walking but I also started talking to people to get information.
Umbrella can be a simple girl. But she knew her older sister very well, as the story continued, Umbrella couldn't help but be suspicious at her sister's manner of narration.
"And that's how mom was tricked into becoming a Skullgirl, and she was so powerful that all the kingdoms stopped fighting her, and allied to fight her." The red-haired woman said sadly before looking at Umbrella.
"Although he paid a high price, in a way his wish was granted. The end." The redheaded woman said but then she noticed the other girl's serious expression.
"Wait, what? Mom turned into Skullgirl just like that? I thought you could only turn into Skullgirl if you were impure." Umbrella said seriously, the redheaded woman seemed a bit flustered but she easily kept her composure.
"Also, this 'narrator' strikes me as somewhat suspicious. Have you been watching from there all this time or...?" Umbrella tried to continue speaking but the girl was silenced when the other woman hit the ground with an umbrella while the woman's eyes reflected seriousness and hardness.
"Umbrella...you know the rules. I've told you the story, so now you have to go to sleep. We can talk more in the morning." The woman said seriously making the girl only sigh with resignation.
"Bah..." The girl fell onto the bed while the woman covered Umbrella with a blanket and gave her a small kiss on the forehead.
"I love you, Umbrella." The red-haired woman said with a soft smile.
"...me too sister." Umbrella said with a soft smile but deep down, the little girl still wasn't completely satisfied.
"Good night princess." She said to the little girl before she closed her eyes. The red-haired woman only sighed a little before turning off the light in the room and then going to the door of the room.
"Good night princess." the red-haired woman whispered with some sadness before closing the door of the room.
No matter where I searched, I always got the same answer. Every time I asked about Bloodgood, no one seemed to know her, much less have seen her. Now I was under a storm while I'm still walking the streets, the rain may calm me down but that didn't take away my concern for the director.
"Damn, this is bad. I can't find any sign of Bloodgood, I just hope she's okay." I said with fear but then I stopped in front of a cathedral.
"I guess this is the last place to check. I just hope I can find the answer here." I said before I knocked on the door but I watched as the door slowly opened.
When I entered the cathedral I saw that everything was normal and calm, but I couldn't help but feel a great cold in the place but I could also smell a strong aroma of raw meat.
The person seemed to be a nun, the dress was the classic black color.
"Hello? Excuse me miss, I know it must be late but I have a little problem." I said with concern making the nun turn around only for me to notice that her eyes were closed.
"What boggles your mind, young man?" The woman asked calmly as she slowly approached. I don't understand why the smell of raw meat became more intense?
"My sincere apologies, young man. But I'm afraid I've never seen this person in my life, but don't lose your hopes. I can tell you with all certainty and confidence that you will manage to find her, just keep your faith always standing as well as your hopes." The nun said causing me to let out a sigh.
"Thank you very much miss, I'm so sorry to have bothered you. Thanks for the words of support, I won't give up that easily." I said smiling with determination.
"It's great news to hear that you didn't give up looking for that person, good luck." The nun said as I changed to the entrance of the cathedral before leaving. But I never noticed that the girl smiled as she opened her eyes only to show that her eyes were totally red like blood.
Umbrella kept moving in her bed. The girl was having trouble sleeping and it wasn't due to a nightmare, it was because the little girl needed explanations, her sister's story only increased Umbrella's need for answers.
"This is ridiculous!! I need answers, what the hell happened to Parasoul while she was telling the whole story? Ugh, this is stupid." Umbrella said with annoyance before looking at her umbrella.
"You know what, Hungern. Fuck it, if Parasoul or the others won't give us answers. Then we'll find it ourselves." Umbrella said seriously as the girl took the umbrella but the girl noticed that Hungern looked worried.
"Don't worry, Hungern. I promise we'll eat ice cream together after this, too. No one will see us, we'll make this quick and no one will think we left." the girl said with a smile as she put on a raincoat before leaving the room.
Umbrella slowly began to walk through the corridors but carefully, she knew her sister very well and especially the soldiers of the castle. Umbrella walked to the end of the corridor, at the moment that the soldiers began to march for the changing of the guard, the girl quickly ran with her umbrella to the entrance.
"Very well. We have to do it fast, let's go Hungern." Umbrella said before leaving the castle just as another door opened and Parasoul walked in accompanied by three soldiers, but the difference was that one of the soldiers was huge and the other one didn't wear the mask like the other soldiers.
"Make sure you keep a good eye on the entrance to Umbrella's room, if something bad happens quickly report it, okay?" The red-haired woman asked seriously looking at the masked soldier.
"Yes, yes sir." Said the soldier before saluting before going to take his position at the door of Umbrella's room.
"You seem a little stressed, Miss Parasoul. Did something happen?" A grey-haired soldier asked curiously.
"Nothing major, I just had a little problem with Umbrella, that's all." Parasoul said seriously but the taller soldier noticed something else.
"Little Renoir seems to lack the manners of royalty but knows when her sister is keeping a secret." Said the soldier with huge muscles but that statement seemed to annoy the red-haired woman.
"She's not ready for the truth yet. Not until she's older." Parasoul said seriously but that statement seemed to annoy the gray-haired soldier.
"With all due respect, your highness...everyone knows the truth! Would you rather you find out from them, or from you?" The soldier asked seriously as the man looked at the red-haired woman.
"I know...I'll tell you soon. As soon as I know it's ready." Parasoul said with some melancholy while his eyes reflected a feeling of sadness.
"I wasn't…" The redheaded woman whispered as she seemed to grip the handle of the umbrella tightly, something the two soldiers noticed.
"Miss Parasoul?" The gray-haired soldier asked with a bit of concern making the red-haired woman look serious.
"I don't have time for this sort of thing, Adam, Panzerfaust. You two guard the castle entrance, I want to be alone right now. Let me know if anything happens." Parasoul said seriously as the woman left the place leaving the two soldiers behind.
Umbrella had done it. The girl couldn't even believe that she had managed to get out of the castle despite the hundreds of guards that were in place. Now she and Hungern were outside with a view of the city of New Meridian in the distance.
"Very well, Hungern. Looks like we've got a long way to go, we'd better hurry up. I don't want Parasoul to get mad, and I'm not in the mood to take his scolding." Umbrella said seriously as she and her umbrella go to the city.
So far today's chapter. Many will be wondering why I deleted the story and I'm posting it again, and the answer is simple.
In the first story. I couldn't help feeling that I forgot certain details in the story, making the dialogues better with the personality of the characters, and above all. Being a little more detailed in the story in some parts.
Now what I will do is improve as much as possible to make the story more enjoyable. And I'm really sorry if some of you are disappointed by the previous story, but I promise that I will improve.
The harem will be the same as in the previous story, if you don't remember. Here is the harem:
Filia
Ms.Fortune.
Cerebella.
Parasoul.
Eliza.
Annie.
Valentine.
Painwheel.
I hope you liked today's chapter. And I hope you like the reboot of this story. I hope you have a good day, afternoon or night. See you later, goodbye dattebayo.
