The day started slowly. I started to wake up with the sun's rays making me smile a little before sitting down on the grass. Maybe I'm not lying in a bed, or in a house. But it was nice to wake up in such a calm and relaxing environment.
"Very well. I'd better train for a bit, then I'm going to explore the city in the sunshine and have to try and find a place to stay, although I don't mind the idea of sleeping another night in the woods." I said while getting ready to train.
Parasoul was sleeping in her bed until the alarm clock started to ring, the red-haired woman turned off the alarm clock without delay and would get up to take a shower. After bathing, the woman walked to her closet and would put on her normal clothes.
"Fine. Let's see what we have to do today. Breakfast with Umbrella at eight, Training with the black herons at ten, fencing training at twelve and." Parasoul paused before looking around her room to make sure no one was listening.
"Watch the new Annie episode at fifteen o'clock. Alright, that's it. I guess I can spend the rest of the day spending time with Umbrella." Parasoul said before walking to a table where there were bullets, a revolver and an umbrella.
The red-haired woman began to put the bullets in her gun before grabbing her umbrella, Parasoul walked out of her room as some soldiers standing guard stood to attention and gave a military salute.
"I want to see you all in the training yard after my breakfast with Umbrella, okay?" Parasoul asked seriously as the woman glanced at all the soldiers.
"Sir, yes sir!!." All the soldiers yelled making Umbrella just nod her head before walking to the dining room.
Parasoul entered only to be very surprised to see Umbrella awake, the girl was watching cartoons on a small television while the girl and Hungern ate cereal together. The red-haired woman sat down at the table while a chef approached where the woman was.
"I want some scrambled eggs and bacon, some toast with jam, and a cup of coffee." Parasoul said as the woman still kept her eyes on Umbrella. The chef only nodded before leaving.
"Oh hello sister. Good morning." Umbrella said with her mouth full causing Parasoul to only have a throbbing vein on the back of her neck due to her sister's behavior at the table.
"Good morning, Umbrella. I must admit I'm surprised, this is the first time you've been up early." Parasoul said with a bit of seriousness and surprise which caught the girl's attention.
"Well, I wanted to do something new. That's all." Umbrella responded with a smile as the chef brought Parasoul's breakfast.
"I understand. Well, that's good news. But you seem a little more cheerful than usual." Parasoul said as the woman drank her coffee. Deep down, the red-haired woman hoped that Umbrella was calmer than yesterday.
"Oh, that's because I had a good night last night. You can say I had a magical dream." The girl said with a giggling smile making Parasoul raise an eyebrow at her curiosity before continuing with her breakfast.
'Magical. This is the first time I've heard Umbrella say that, and especially get up with that joy. I guess it's not very important, maybe she had a dream and maybe she forgot about last night.' Parasoul said in her mind feeling somewhat relieved.
"Fire Element: Dragon's Breath!!" I yelled before launching a strong blast of fire into the air before leaping high to dodge a water blast. Look down only to see some plants shoot some thorns.
When I saw the thorns I quickly began to hit quickly I began to fly to dodge them before attacking with a fireball generating a large explosion.
"Well. I think that's enough, I'd better find a place to have breakfast and then explore the city. I just hope I don't run into Riccardo and Lawrence again." I said with venom before flying off after gathering my sleeping bag and stuff.
Somewhere else. In the cars of a train. A person was seen sitting peacefully sleeping. The person was a girl with slightly pale skin, the girl was wearing a female school uniform that highlighted her body but the girl was also wearing a hat.
Slowly the girl opened her eyes to show that they were a deep red. She slowly started to stretch out her arms before looking at the city with a somewhat tired look.
"Is it morning already?" The girl wondered tiredly only to hear a yawn.
"Good morning, Filia." said a deep voice but before the girl could speak, the rumble of Filia's stomach made her look away with a bit of embarrassment.
"Oh I get it. I'm hungry too, umm. Hey, I still have money left over from my bet. If you want, I can treat you to breakfast." The deep voice spoke again which made the girl show a small smile.
"Thank you very much, Samson." Filia said with a smile as she slowly stood up.
"No problem, kid. After all, we both need to eat." Samson said while Filia noticed that they were slowly reaching the train station.
I slowly made it to town wearing my normal clothes. I'm constantly looking around for people and I can't help but think about what Umbrella said to me last night.
"A city controlled by mobsters. Bloodgood, I don't understand. Why did you come to this city, and what caused Nightmare to leave so scared? Umbrella may have explained a little about this city to me, but it's not enough to find someone Bloodgood. What can I do now?" I asked with concern.
Due to my worry, I couldn't pay attention to the road and suddenly collided with someone causing me and the person to fall to the ground.
"Ouch, more careful idiot!!." a deep voice yelled making me quickly stand up and help the person.
"I'm so sorry I didn't see it." I said with concern while looking at the person I accidentally made fall to the ground. It turns out to be a girl.
"I am sorry." Filia whispered softly before running off which really surprised me.
"I guess she was late somewhere." I said as I continue my walk.
Umbrella sighed with resignation as the girl watched as a girl with glasses was giving the little princess a math class while Hungern was close to Umbrella.
"Very well. That's all for today, do you have any questions Miss Umbrella?" Asked the girl with glasses with a smile.
"No, Molly. My only question is what time this class is going to end." The girl said with annoyance. Parasoul made sure that Umbrella was taught just like any girl her age.
"Don't worry, Umbrella. If you finish this simple task then you can go out with Hungern to watch TV or play with your dolls." Molly said with a smile but the little princess sighed in annoyance.
"Fine. I just want to get this over with as soon as possible." Umbrella said bored but the girl glanced out the window to look at the city of New Meridian.
'I wonder. How will Benja be?." Umbrella wondered with a bit of concern in her mind before starting her task.
I was walking down the street while looking for somewhere to have breakfast, at that moment I noticed a coffee shop making me smile.
"Good. I just hope Bloodgood was here, maybe I can find someone here who can help me." I said as I walk to the cafeteria and enter only to get nervous seeing Filia.
"Welcome, can I take your order?" A waiter asked as I sat down and tried not to look at the girl out of embarrassment.
"Yes. I'd like a cup of tea and some rolls, please. Y. I was wondering, did you see this woman?" I said while showing a photo of Bloodgood to the waiter.
"I'll ask in the kitchen, mate. But I can't guarantee we'll know." The waiter said as he left.
An enormous silence was made in the place. The only thing that could be heard in the place was jazz music, although that helped to keep the atmosphere from being so tense or uncomfortable.
"Umm, hey. I, I want to apologize for what happened. I really hope I didn't hurt you." I said with a bit of nerves while Filia looked at me askance.
"Keep your apologies, idiot. Don't bother us." Samson said while the parasite remained inside the girl's hat. I looked at this with a little confusion while the waiter returned with my order.
"Sorry mate. But no one in the kitchen saw this woman." The man said as he handed the photo back to me. I just sighed in disappointment before starting to eat breakfast.
"Wow, wow. What do we have here? How about I buy you a real drink, doll?" I turned around only to seriously see Riccardo approach Filia and start touching the girl's body.
"We're already having a drink, thanks." Samson said with venom because the man was very close to the girl.
"Oh...what a deep voice you have, miss. I like it." Riccardo said with surprise but that would upset Samson a lot. Before I could do anything, I suddenly saw something that really surprised me.
"It's over!!. I've given you the chance to leave!!" Suddenly Filia's hat exploded and I saw that the girl's horse was dark but on the back of her head I could see a mouth full of sharp teeth and bright yellow and red eyes.
"A parasite!?" Riccardo yelled but before he could do anything. Samson attacked and mercilessly, the parasite attacked in a swift manner that caused Riccardo to run out of the cafeteria due to the parasite's strength.
"Damn son of a bitch. That'll teach you not to bother us again, got it!?" Samson yelled furiously while Filia looked around worriedly.
"Samson please. You have to stop doing that…you're drawing too much attention to yourself." Filia said nervously as the parasite seemed to cross her arms.
"Um. That bastard deserved it. Nobody lays a finger on my host. Nobody." Samson said angrily making Filia look away.
"I know you're doing this to protect me. But I can take care of myself." Filia said with some seriousness. Samson just rolled his eyes before looking at me only to notice that I was very shocked.
"What are you looking at, idiot? If you think you'll be lucky at something then keep dreaming." Samson said seriously making me look away.
"Me. I'm just surprised. It's nothing." I said nervously as I tried to ignore the parasite's cold gaze.
"Yeah, sure. You better not even think about saying any of this to anyone or I'll make that white hair of yours stained with your blood." Samson said with venom as the parasite looked at me with narrowed eyes.
"Please Samson, calm down. I don't want any more trouble." Filia said nervously but then the girl noticed Bloodgood's picture causing her to widen her eyes slightly.
"That woman. I know her." At that time he looked at Filia with shock.
"Are you serious!?." I yelled in shock as I approached the girl but backed away due to Samson's gaze, the parasite was growling menacingly.
"Sorry. Do you really know Bloodgood?" I asked curiously getting a nod from Filia.
"I met her one day. It happened a week ago." Filia said as the girl told her story.
Flashback
Filia was very nervous. The girl was in an alley with some men playing Blackjack, the girl timidly looked at her cards while she tried to hide her face from the men's gaze.
"Wait a bit longer, Filia. If we win, we can find a more comfortable place to sleep or at least enough food for a few more weeks." Samson said quietly while the girl was very scared.
"Well, doll. Aren't you going to show your cards?" A man asked with a flirtatious smile. Filia looked at everyone's cards and at that moment the girl showed hers, showing that she was the winner.
"Wow, impressive. You beat us again, gorgeous. You sure have the devil's luck." Said another man while he seemed to be smoking.
"Well, thanks for everything. But, I have to go." Filia said, but before the girl could take the money. One of the men held the girl tightly.
"Hey, baby. Why the rush? Wouldn't you be interested in earning a little more money? Don't worry, we can make sure everything will work out and you'll come out on top easily." Said the man with a flirtatious smile while Filia was getting very nervous and Samson would be ready to fight.
Before the men could do anything. Suddenly they all heard the noise of a horse neighing only to petrify when looking at someone. The piercing red eyes of the horse, a female figure with empty and cold eyes, suddenly the horse jumped to raise the two front hooves of it while the woman showed a sword.
"The Headless Horseman!!." All the men started running causing Filia to fall to the ground. And the girl watched in horror as the woman and the horse slowly approached where Filia was.
"Are you okay, young lady?" Bloodgood asked as the woman shook hands with Filia.
"Leave my guest alone!!" Samson quickly attacked Bloodgood but the woman blocked the attack without difficulty and watched in slight astonishment.
"Interesting. It's been ages since I last saw a parasite in person." Bloodgood said, but that surprised Filia and Samson very much.
"Wait. Who are you?" Samson asked in surprise making Bloodgood get off Nightmare.
"My sincere apologies for not introducing myself. My name is Bloodgood, I am the principal of Monster High School in New Salem. And who are you two?" The woman asked with a raised eyebrow causing Filia to wipe her skirt a little.
"My name is Filia. And this is my friend Samson." The girl said shyly as she looks at the headmistress.
"It's a pleasure for me to meet you but I must ask. What is a girl doing here alone in this alley surrounded by those idiots?" Bloodgood asked seriously making Filia very nervous.
"Well. Samson told me that we should come here to gamble since it's the only way to get money." Filia was going to continue speaking but Samson quickly silenced the girl.
"Filia!!. Grr, don't give details to a stranger." said the parasite angrily while Bloodgood looked serious.
"Excuse me Samson. Can you explain to me now, why have you brought Filia to this place?" Bloodgood asked seriously making the parasite feel a bit nervous.
"Ugh. Well, Filia and I have nowhere to go. I constantly find these places to gamble just like bars and other places to get money, we have a system. Filia handles the gambling and I handle the cheating, and Especially kick the ass of any son of a bitch who tries to touch the girl." Samson said seriously.
"You may mean well, Samson since you help Filia with the money they earn. But all the same, you risk the life of this poor homeless girl and you know that the parasites have a rule that is important to them." Bloodgood said seriously making Samson look away.
"Anyway. Thanks for helping Filia." Samson said seriously causing Bloodgood to show a small smile.
"No problem. You know, you two can come with me to New Salem. You can start a new life, you'll make friends at my school, and I assure you, everything will get better for you." The woman said with a smile as Nightmare walked over to stand next to her.
"Not a bad offer. What do you think, Filia?" Samson asked curiously but the girl seemed insecure.
"I really appreciate that. But, I'm looking for the Skull Heart to get my memories back. I need to know who I really am." The girl said nervously. Bloodgood seemed serious when hearing the name of The Skull Heart but the woman looked out of the corner of her eye at the street.
"I understand. Very well, then when you regain your memory don't hesitate to look for me. Monster High will always have its doors open for Samson and for you, Filia." Bloodgood said as the woman climbed onto her horse.
"Thank you, Miss Bloodgood. I'll think about your proposal and try to find it." Filia said with a small smile.
"Very well. Take care and have a good night." Bloodgood said before he left leaving Filia and Samson alone.
End of Flashback.
"And that's what happened. After that Samson and I didn't see her anywhere." Filia said, hearing everything I couldn't help but think a little.
"I see. Thank you very much for this information, Filia." I said while looking at the girl.
"Fine. We already gave you what you wanted, why don't you just get out of here and leave us alone now?" Samson asked seriously as Filia looked embarrassed.
"Okay. I'm really sorry for bothering you, I just hope you'll be more careful next time." I said as I walked to the entrance of the cafeteria after leaving the money on the table.
"Wait." I turned around and saw that Filia walked to where I was.
"Let me go with you." The girl's statement surprised me a lot but also surprised Samson.
"Filia. You shouldn't get into shit you're not involved in, surely this idiot can do it on his own." Samson said seriously, that statement made Filia serious.
"Please, Samson. If it hadn't been for Miss Bloodgood, surely those men would have done something to me. We owe her a lot, if she's missing then you must find her." Filia said seriously making the parasite sigh in resignation.
"Very well. But just so you know, if I will help in this it will be only because of that woman for saving your life, Filia. Nothing more, after this we will continue with our business." Samson said seriously making Filia smile.
"Thanks a lot, guys. The more help I have, the quicker I think it will be to find Bloodgood." I said smiling as we all left the cafeteria.
Somewhere else. Bloodgood was chained to a wall. The woman had multiple bruises and cuts on her body, she was looking around the room looking for a way out. However, all hope disappeared when a door opened.
"Look who decided to wake up from his dream." said a female voice as the person walked up to face Bloodgood.
"You made a serious mistake, a very big one, in coming back to this city. Although I must admit that seeing a familiar face makes me feel a little happy." said the female voice in a mocking tone but that disgusted Bloodgood.
"You are a disgusting and miserable being. You don't even have the right to be called a monster for all the atrocities you have committed. How many people have you condemned to a life of suffering and horror?" Bloodgood asked angrily but that made the person laugh.
"Come on, Bloodgood. Relax, if it makes you feel any better. Nightmare managed to escape, I admit. You have a lucky horse." said the voice with a smile but that only made Bloodgood angry.
"You filthy heartless monster. When I get out of here I'm going to." Bloodgood tried to speak but she was silenced by a hard kick to the stomach that made the woman scream.
"Poor Bloodgood, poor pathetic Bloodgood. If you couldn't beat me in the past, what makes you think you can even give me a little scratch. Now you're all alone, no friends, no family. There's only you, and that stupid dream of wanting to forget you of everything, when in reality. The truth is inevitable and impossible to change." Said the strange person in a mocking tone.
"Enjoy your stay here, Bloodgood. I'll bring your food later." said the person before leaving, leaving the Monster High principal behind.
"So. You're from New Salem, the city known worldwide for being the first city in the country to have monsters and humans." Samson said curiously.
Two hours passed since we started walking. During that time, Filia, Samson and I were talking to start getting along. However, the parasite still treated me territorially but from time to time Samson seemed calm.
"That's right, Samson. I've been living in that town for a while now." I said smiling as the three of us walked near a park, but Filia looked confused.
"It's incredible. Mummies, vampires, werewolves, swamp monsters, hybrid monsters. I've never heard of a city capable of coexisting with so many monsters, it's like here but in this city the majority of the people are human." Filia said in amazement making me laugh sheepishly.
"True. But unlike this city, the monsters and humans of New Salem are still slowly getting used to mending old ties that were once thought to be only legends." I said smiling but that caught Filia's attention.
"What? But, they used to get along well. Why were those bonds of friendship broken?" The girl asked curiously making me serious, Samson also seemed serious.
"Filia. Let's just say that people can swallow any shit any son of a bitch says." said the parasite with poison but that confused Filia even more.
"What are you talking about, Samson?" The girl asked intrigued.
"I think it would be best if he told you another time, Filia. Besides, if we find Bloodgood you can ask him about that as well." I said seriously making Filia just nod her head but still confused.
"Well. Umm, what can you tell me about the two of you? To be honest, this is the first time I've met a carrier of a parasite. According to the Monster High books, parasites were said to be a myth." I said curiously but that made Samson laugh.
"For your information, boy. Never believe what those old books say, we are just as real as the giants." The parasite said proudly while Filia seemed to think before scratching her arm shyly.
"To be honest. I don't know what I can tell you, I can only say that I like romantic novels, reading, studying, coffee, comics, but especially puppies." Filia said with a huge smile while the girl imagined a puppy.
"That's so cute, Filia." I said smiling but that made the girl turn red due to her embarrassment.
"Better stop talking and let's focus on finding that woman. The longer we talk, the less time we have left to find that woman." Samson said seriously which caught my attention.
"I'm sorry to ask but. What are you so worried about? I mean, is something wrong?" I asked curiously but before the parasite spoke...
"Is that. We are here in this city to find my memories." Filia said which caught my attention.
"Your memories? Do you have amnesia?" I asked surprised but only got a grunt from Samson.
"Filia!! Ugh, you have to learn not to say too much in front of strangers." said the parasite angrily making the girl scratch her arm shyly.
"Sorry Samson. To be honest, Benja. I just remember waking up in an old house, and after that I met Samson." The girl said shyly making me even more surprised.
"Really? But, you don't remember anything else? Your family, your friends." I said in surprise but I was surprised when Samson grabbed my shirt making me very close to Filia, that made the girl very nervous.
"Listen, you fucking asshole. If the girl says she doesn't remember anything else, then don't ask pointless questions." the parasite said coldly before releasing me.
"I'm sorry, really. I had no idea, I shouldn't have asked." I said shyly making Filia look away.
"Okay. Don't worry, I feel sorry for Samson. He really doesn't like someone being too close to me or asking me too many questions." The girl said shyly.
"Okay do not worry." I said with a shy smile. At that moment we stopped when we noticed that the sun was going down.
"Well, let's go girl. That train won't wait for us forever." Samson said seriously but that got my attention.
"Train? What are you talking about Samson?" I asked surprised but before the parasite answered, Filia quickly spoke up.
"Like I said. I have no memories of my past. During this time, Samson and I have been sleeping on roofs, on trains, or in alleys. We survive thanks to the bets Samson makes." Filia said with embarrassment making me turn pale.
"What did you expect, idiot? That we live in a house like you? In this disgusting city not everything is rosy. Let's go, girl." Samson said coldly. Before Filia could leave, she quickly took her hand which surprised both of them very much.
"Wait!! Me, I don't have anywhere to go either. I have a sleeping bag and I know a good place for you guys to rest." I said with concern but that seemed to bother Samson.
"Don't believe a shit this idiot says, Filia. He's not to be trusted." The parasite said seriously as Filia looked at me.
"I'm not lying, Samson. I want to help you, maybe I don't have much. But, you two are helping me find Bloodgood. So the least I want to do for you is help you. I know we've only known each other for a short time, but you They are my friends." I said with concern making Filia think.
"Are you sure? You only have one sleeping bag, and I don't want to be a bother." Filia said shyly making me smile.
"Don't worry, Filia. I'll figure out where to sleep, you can sleep in the sleeping bag with Samson." I said with a smile making the parasite sigh.
"Filia. Are we really going to go with this idiot?" Samson asked seriously as Filia looked at me.
"Samson, throughout the day. Benja was very kind, he told us about him and also, if he had wanted to do something to us. Very surely he would have already done it. We can confirm in him." Filia said with a bit of seriousness, that only got a sigh of defeat from the parasite.
"Fine. But if he tries to touch you in your sleep, I'll see to it that this filthy bastard can never have children." Samson said coldly making me feel a little shiver down my spine.
"You have my word, Samson. Now, let's go before it's too dark." I said timidly before leaving with Filia and the parasite.
Somewhere else. Riccardo and Lawrence were in a cafe drinking a cup of coffee quietly, both of them had recovered from the injuries I caused them.
"Do you think it's about time?" Riccardo asked curiously making Lawrence look at his wrist watch.
"Yes. The shipment arrives right now. I just hope we don't run into that damn son of a bitch from yesterday." Said the man annoyed making Riccardo annoyed too.
"I highly doubt that will happen. However, we have to remember that Mr. Lorenzo doesn't want us to go up against him. If that idiot can breathe fire out of his fucking hands, then we're just sitting ducks for him." Riccardo said seriously as Lawrence got up from the table.
"Very well. Let's go, we have work and Mr. Vitale hates delays." Said the man before leaving a ticket on the table before leaving with his partner
I was looking at the night sky while thinking what to do. Filia and Samson are sleeping peacefully in my sleeping bag which I'm so glad about.
"Hmm, I need to find a job. I highly doubt Samson is willing to pay for food for me and Filia." I said before standing up and looking at the city.
"Better do a little patrolling. Maybe I can find a lead on Bloodgood too." I said before putting on my hero outfit and then flying away.
Lawrence and Riccardo were driving to an abandoned warehouse. The two men got out of the vehicle only to hear footsteps.
"They come late." Cerebella said seriously, which greatly surprised the two adults.
"Cerebella? What are you doing here?" Riccardo asked in surprise making the girl laugh.
"Very easy. Vitale asked me to come here so that the deal goes smoothly and there are no problems, besides. If that guy you two said last night shows up, I'd love to have a fight with him." The girl said with a smile due to her excitement.
"Don't take this the wrong way, Cerebella. But that idiot is very strong and I don't think you'll be able to fight him. Besides, we're in the middle of nowhere. I don't think that idiot will come." Lawrence said as Cerebella rolled her eyes.
"Never mind. Come on, I hope you haven't forgotten the money." Cerebella said before entering the warehouse with the two men.
I was flying over the city. Everything seemed calm and normal, however I couldn't help but feel disappointed that I couldn't find anything to help me find Bloodgood.
"This is bad, I can't find anything. Maybe I should check the port." I said before flying to the city port.
I looked around for something, but the only thing I managed to do was cover my nose due to the intense smell of fish and shellfish in the place. But at that moment he stopped me by noticing a car that I could recognize.
"That car. It's the one of those idiots who tried to attack umbrella and me. Why is it in that warehouse?" I ask curiously before flying to where the car is.
I slowly made my way to the warehouse before taking a big jump to get on the roof, I looked around before finding a broken skylight to see what was going on. At that moment I saw some men with trench coats and hats covering their faces as Riccardo and Lawrence came to the center of the room.
"Well, better late than never. I'm going to have to talk to Vitale about getting new men, maybe more responsible ones." A man said seriously making Riccardo and Lawrence laugh but Cerebella remained serious.
"I apologize for the stupid behavior of these two bums. They are never the best of men, Vitale, but they are the best at looking up any harlot's skirts." The girl said seriously making Riccardo and Lawrence silent.
"I like your style, miss. Maybe after this my friends and I can buy you a drink." The man said but that only made Cerebella laugh.
"I'm sorry. But my heart already belongs to someone else, now. Shit aside, do you have what we asked for?" Cerebella asked seriously making the man snap his fingers and the two men next to him walked over to some boxes.
"It cost me a lot of work to be able to bring these beauties. I can assure you that they are quality weapons even my men and I tried them, I can say with confidence that you will not find any equal to these beauties." Said the man while his companions show some firearms making me get serious.
"Very good. I'm glad to hear you tried them, the last idiot who gave us faulty weapons ended up at the bottom of the sea with the fish." Cerebella said with venom making the man laugh.
"That's good to know. Now about our pay." The man held out his hand as Riccardo approached with the money. However, they all heard the sound of something falling and looked to the side.
"I'm sorry. But I'm afraid I can't allow that." I said as my eyes glow in the dark and I slowly got closer until I was close.
"Shit. You again!?" Riccardo yelled in surprise making Cerebella laugh.
"So you're the guy who gave these idiots trouble, huh? You don't seem that intimidating." Cerebella said in a teasing tone and I suddenly noticed with surprise that two huge arms came out of the girl's hat.
"Although of course. If what they said about you is true, let's see if you're as tough as Riccardo and Lawrence say." The girl said excitedly while the other men in the room seemed nervous.
"Shit. What the hell are you two waiting for!? Attack that bastard!!" The man yelled causing his friends to shoot me, but I just raised my hand to create a magic shield which surprised everyone except Riccardo and Lawrence.
"Ivy Element: Wrath of Mother Nature!!" I screamed before hitting the ground hard causing some roots to come out of the ground and catch everyone but Cerebella quickly managed to dodge it with difficulty.
"Damn, that was amazing. You are definitely someone very strong. Let's see what you do with this." Cerebella said with a huge smile before burying her huge hands in the ground. At that moment I saw with surprise how the girl ripped up a huge piece of land and then gave it a strong blow causing me to dodge the attack.
"Fire Element: Dragon's Breath!!" I yelled before unleashing a blast of fire causing the girl to quickly use her giant arms to cover herself. But when she stopped protecting herself, I quickly kicked her back.
"Damn, that was amazing!! There's no doubt about it, you're very strong." Cerebella said with a smile before cracking her knuckles.
"I must admit that attack was impressive, especially the extra arms on your hat. But what you and your comrades are doing is illegal, even if the authorities in this city do nothing about it. I will not allow you to have these weapons." I said seriously before getting into a combat stance.
"Things are going to get interesting from what I see. Well, in that case. It's showtime." Cerebella said with a smile before charging towards me while horns similar to those of a goat protruded from her hat.
I quickly jumped up to dodge the attack but the girl managed to grab my legs before abruptly throwing me to the ground. Cerebella was about to hit me but she quickly dodged the attack with difficulty as one of the giant fists embedded itself in the ground.
"Air Element: Compressed Wind!!" I yelled before throwing a punch generating a strong gust of air that the girl took squarely. Cerebella smiled before using her giant arms to grab hold of one of the warehouse's supports, the girl did a full turn before lunging to kick me but I was surprised when a knife came out of her heels causing her to dodge the attack with difficulty.
"Hehe, I bet you didn't see it coming did you?" Cerebella asked in a teasing tone as there was a small cut on my cheek.
"That was a very good acrobatic move. I must admit you caught me off guard, but that doesn't mean the fight is over." I said seriously before making my fire whips appear which surprised Cerebella a lot.
"You're amazing. What's your name?" The girl asked curiously as I prepare to fight.
"My name is elemental mage. The hero of New Salem." I said seriously making Cerebella laugh before getting into a combat pose.
"You certainly live up to your name, mage. I hope you are ready because this is only the beginning." Cerebella said with a smile but at that moment there were sounds of vehicles arriving.
"Check the place right now!!" A female voice yelled, making everyone except Cerebella nervous. The girl seemed upset.
"Sir, yes sir!!." Some soldiers shouted as they quickly approached the place.
"Shit. Don't think this is over, mage. We'll have another match soon, and I can assure you, you won't be so lucky next time." Cerebella said seriously before holding Riccardo and Lawrence tightly before pulling them out of my roots before escaping out the back.
At that moment the door was knocked down by Panzerfaust causing the soldiers and Parasoul to enter only to see the smugglers trapped in roots which caught the woman's attention.
"Black herons, free the smugglers and take them away." Parasoul said seriously making a group of soldiers stand to attention.
"Sir, yes sir!!." The soldiers shouted before freeing the smugglers to later arrest them. On the other hand, Parasoul looked at my roots which made her go serious.
"How strange, spring isn't here yet. I guess mother nature wanted some action too." Adam said making a soldier laugh but Parasoul was still serious.
"Adam, Molly. This is no time for jokes. This is unusual, no one in this city can grow roots like this. Only monsters can do something like this, and those kind of monsters are not in this city." Parasoul said seriously before standing up.
"Confiscate the weapons. Our job is done. However, I need to know who is responsible for this." Said the woman before leaving with the soldiers but she never noticed that I was seeing everything from the roof.
"That was close. At least those smugglers have already been caught. I think I'd better go." I said before leaving quickly but I never noticed eyes watching me from the shadows.
"Well. This will be, interesting." said the person as a feline smile appeared on her face.
Vitale was in his office looking out over the city with a glass of whiskey in his hand. The man was very upset as Cerebella told him everything that happened with the job.
"What do you mean you couldn't complete the job?" Vitale asked seriously making Riccardo and Lawrence nervous, except for Cerebella.
"Yes. We were about to complete the deal but suddenly that boy that Riccardo and Lawrence said yesterday appeared, apparently he is able to grow roots from the ground, throw fire like a dragon and attack with wind." Cerebella said making Vitale turn to look at the girl and her men.
"Impressive. And you said he's called an elemental mage. But what catches my attention is that he's from New Salem. It's funny, that might mean he's either a monster or a human with unique abilities." Vitale said which caught everyone's attention.
"Wait. Mr. Vitale, I'm sorry but. How is it possible that a monster from a distant city is here? That is, as far as I know. No monster dared to set foot here that was from a distant place." Riccardo said making Vitale sigh.
"It's true. This is something you don't see very often, though. This can greatly affect our future work." The man said seriously as he drank from his whiskey glass.
"Vitale, please. Let me take care of that idiot myself, I know I can beat him up." Cerebella said seriously but Vitale shook his head.
"That guy's abilities are very powerful, Cerebella. We're not talking about a Skullgirl, we're possibly talking about something much worse." Vitale said seriously making everyone listen to that with surprise.
"So what are we going to do?" Lawrence asked curiously as Vitale lit a cigarette.
"Our best option is to try to discover a way to persuade and draw the attention of this subject, perhaps we can have it as one more card in our deck. However, we will have to be careful." Vitale said before looking back at the city.
I was reaching the forest where Filia and Samson were sleeping, I could see that the two were still sleeping causing me to sigh in relief before walking to a tree. Using my ivy element, I grew some roots out of the ground making it work like a mattress.
"Those soldiers are the ones I saw yesterday at Umbrella's house. Apparently they are the only ones in charge of keeping crime under control." I said before lying down on the roots to look at the starry sky.
"Will they know anything about Bloodgood? Voltage, I hope he's okay." I said with concern before turning to see a picture of my friends from Monster High as well as a picture of my sister Draculaura.
"I hope everyone's okay at home. I promise when it's all over, I'll be right back." I said smiling before falling asleep... but I didn't notice some eyes that saw me.
"Holy crap...what the hell are you, idiot?" Samson asked quietly with shock.
"Better ask him another time and keep this a secret. I just hope this shit is over so I can find the stupid Skull Heart." Samson said seriously before falling asleep again.
So far today's chapter. I am very sorry for my delay in the story, I was very busy and it made it very difficult for me to finish the chapter.
