Stay Tuned For Danger

Mattie's Ending

"Well, who do you think it is?" Lillian asks Nancy, as the two stand in the studio at WWW Broadcasting.

Nancy ponders for a moment, over all the clues she's collected and all the facts she's learned.

"It's got to be Mattie! Rick doesn't reciprocate her love, so she's been trying to destroy him as revenge!"

Suddenly, a loud booming voice emenates from above, and Nancy can see someone up in the sound booth.

"Great job, Nancy! I knew I hired you for a reason! Now let's see if you can figure this one out: What's going to happened to the nasty old director and naive girl detective when I'm through with them?" Nancy instantly recognizes Mattie's voice.

"Lillian, hide!" Nancy yells, and she hears Lillian scurry off. Nancy turns her attention back to Mattie.

"Mattie, you don't have to do this. There are other men out there besides Rick. Dwayne loves you, you know that?" Nancy pleads.

"Dwayne? You want me to settle for Dwayne? You don't get it Nancy. I've been so sweet to Rick, so caring, so gentle, and we have so much chemistry on set, and then he goes and doesn't want to love me back?" Mattie rants bitterly.

"Mattie, please...think about this..." Nancy begs.

"Sorry, Nancy. I think its about time for you to leave New York, and maybe the planet, forever." Mattie replies, laughing menacingly.

Nancy looks around her, and dashes over to the fire alarm. Pulling it, she looks to the emergency door lock.

"I've got to get out of here!"

(Bad Ending)

Nancy punches in the code, as the alarm blares in the background, but she can feel the time ticking away. She hears slow footsteps approaching her, and she turns to see Mattie walking toward her, hands outstreched.

"Sorry Nancy, love's a wicked thing..." Mattie says, smiling, and those are the last words Nancy hears before she feels the hands encircling her throat...

(You have died)

(Good Ending)

Nancy punches in the code, as the alarm blares in the background, and just as she is losing hope, she finally gets the right order, and the door to the studio opens. She turns to see Mattie approaching, hands outstretched.

"Sorry Nancy, love's a wick-" Mattie begins to say with a cruel smile on her face before she is interrupted by the loud yell of a man behind there.

"Stop right there! You're under arrest!" Ralph shouts as he pins Mattie's hands behind her back and handcuffs her.

"N-No...n-o...NOOOOOOOOOO!" Mattie yells, with all the flair of an actress, and all Nancy can think in the moment is...

Where were these acting skills when they were filming earlier?

Dear Hannah,

It turns out that love can be a cruel thing, both on and off screen. It turns out Mattie was so embittered by Rick not falling for her that she'd go to whatever lengths necessary to get revenge...even if it meant murder. As for Lillian, it seems Mattie wanted to take out Rick's ex-girlfriend, and me of course, out as a two-for-one deal. Anyways, with Mattie behind bars, it seems like things are back to normal at WWW Broadcasting.

(Insert regular endings for Rick and Lillian)

(Millie has no ending at all in the original game lol)

Dwayne, after seeing how far a person would go for their own selfish desire, seemed eager to drop his grudge, and move on with his life. Last I heard of him, he's adopted a much more positive attitude, and the clients have come following right after.

As for me, I'm coming home! I think I've had enough of the star-studded life for a while...

Love, Nancy

Rick's Ending

"Well, who do you think it is?" Lillian asks Nancy, as the two stand in the studio at WWW Broadcasting.

Nancy ponders for a moment, over all the clues she's collected and all the facts she's learned.

"It has to be Rick! He's been faking all the sabotage and threats to get him off the show and give him some great publicity!"

Suddenly, a loud booming voice emenates from above, and Nancy can see someone up in the sound booth.

"Nice job! I knew a girl as pretty as you would be smart too. Here's one for you: what's gonna happen to the nosy ex and the snooping little sleuth? Time's running out!" Nancy and Lillian gasp as they hear Rick's voice.

"Lillian, hide!" Nancy yells, and Lillian scurries off. Meanwhile, Nancy turns back to Rick.

"Rick, please, you don't have to do this. You don't need the publicity." Nancy pleads.

"You don't get it, do you? I'm tarnished! Everyone knows me as the guy on the cheesy soap opera. All this sabotage...suddenly I'm the guy everyone pities. You know how many offers I've gotten? How many new fans I have?" Rick replies, an maniacal glint to his tone.

"Rick, come on...please..." Nancy begs.

"Sorry, Nancy, but pretty girls like you always come and go in show biz. And I think it's time for you to go..." Rick responds, laughing wickedly.

Nancy looks around and dashes over to the fire alarm. Pulling it, she looks to the emergency door lock next to it.

"I've got to get out of here!"

(Bad Ending)

Try as she may, Nancy can't seem to get the code right. All the while, the fire alarm is blaring mercilessly in ears. Suddenly, she hears slow footsteps behind her, and she turns to see Rick approaching, hands reaching out.

"It's a shame...a girl like you could have made it big here." Rick mutters, smiling cruelly as he closes in, and his words are the last Nancy hears as she feels his hands wrap around her throat...

(You have died)

(Good Ending)

Before she knows it, Nancy has somehow figured out the code for the emergency lock, and the door to the studio swings open. Nancy turns to see Rick walking up to her, hands outstreched.

"It's a shame...a girl like yo-" Rick begins to mutter, before a man interrupts him by shouting.

"Stop right there! You're under arrest!" Ralph shouts, as he pins Rick's hands behind his back, then handcuffs him.

"You think you could call the news before the cops get here?" Rick asks desperately, and all Nancy can think in the moment is

Wow, she really should have picked up on the creep thing a little sooner...

Dear Hannah,

I've heard of a lot of things, but never self-sabotage! It seems like Rick was just a little too desperate to escape the show, and he was willing to make everyone think someone was trying to kill him to accomplish his escape.

Love, Nancy.

Lillian and Millie's Ending

"Well, who do you think it is?" Lillian asks Nancy, as the two stand in the studio at WWW Broadcasting.

Nancy ponders for a moment, over all the clues she's collected and all the facts she's learned.

"Well, all the clues I have so far indicate Millie's been sabotaging Rick, but I don't know what her motive could be..."

Suddenly, a loud booming voice emenates from above, and Nancy can see someone up in the sound booth.

"And here I was thinking you were quite the intellectual, dearie. I suppose a few brainteasers weren't enough to test your mettle. Let's see if you can figure out this last one: what will happen to the bratty teen detective when we're through with her?" Nancy recognizes Millie's voice instantly.

"Lillian, hide!" Nancy yells, and she hears Lillian scurry off...and then Nancy realizes what Millie had just said.

"W-We...?"

She looks up to the sound booth to see two shadowy figures in it now. One, Millie, and the other...

"L-Lillian! B-But why? Is it because of Rick...and your breakup?" Nancy asks, shocked.

"Of course it is, you idiot. Why else would I go through all this...trouble? He broke my heart, and then blamed me for it. Said it was my anger issues." Lillian wails, and Nancy hears Millie comforting her.

"There, there, dearie. You see, Nancy, I couldn't bear to see a man treat my daughter like that..." Millie coos, and Nancy lets out a momentous gasp.

"B-But you don't have to do this...please..." Nancy begs.

The two women laugh, simultaneously, mother and daughter.

"Sorry, dearie, you were just a little too smart for your own good." Millies cackles.

"All the little wannabes like you end failing, Nancy. No hard feelings." Lillian laughs cruelly.

Nancy looks around and dashes over to the fire alarm. Pulling it, she looks to the emergency door lock next to it.

"I've got to get out of here!"

(Bad Ending)

No matter what she inputs, Nancy can't seem to unlock the emergency door. The fire alarm blaring, she hears faint, slow footsteps behind her. She turns around to see Lillian approaching, hands outstretched.

"Not everyone's cut out for show biz, Nancy..." Lillian murmurs, as she closes in, and those are the last words to reach Nancy's ears before she feels the hands wrap around her throat. As she loses the air in her lungs, she hears Millie's faint, cruel laughter in the background.

(You have died)

(Good Ending)

After a bit of trial and error, Nancy manages to figure out the code. She quickly punches it in, and she turns to see both a wicked looking Lillian approaching, and the door to the studio swinging open.

"Not everyone's cut out fo-" Lillian begins to say, before she is cut off by a man shouting and tackling her.

"Stop right there! You're under arrest!" Ralph says, as he pins Lillian's hands behind her, and handcuffs her.

"B-But...it wasn't my fault..." Lillian groans.

"Of course it was, dearie..." Millie retorts, as she walks over with her hands in the air. All Nancy can think in the moment is

Just how old is Millie anyways?

Dear Hannah,

I never would have guessed that sweet old Millie was Lillian's mother! Goes to show that love is a dangerous motivator, I suppose. Lillian's love for Rick turned to bitter hate, and Millie's love for her daughter caused her to assist. However Rick may have treated her, killing him was never the appropriate response, although I guess Lillian isn't all that great with emotions, is she?

(Insert normal Rick and Mattie endings)

(Insert non-culprit Dwayne ending)

(Insert closing statements)

Love, Nancy.

Author's Note: So, that's Stay Tuned For Danger! This is one of the games with the most characters, so it took a little longer, but its here! I hope y'all enjoyed the twist with the Lillian ending. I thought Millie's character was pretty much non-existent in the OG game, so I tried to rectify that by giving her this important role in Lillian's ending. Anyways, I'll see y'all for the next game! Bye!
