School has ended and Lincoln has exited the school. "Got to love Fridays." Lincoln smiled as he walked out the doors. He looks ahead and sees Bumblebee in his alt mode driving up. "Yes!" Lincoln said happily as he ran towards Bumblebee and got into his driver seat. "Thanks for picking me up today, Bee."
"Don't mention it." Bumblebee said as he drove off. "Your folks won't mind you're not going home?"
"I told my sisters to cover for me." Lincoln replied.
"Great, that means you and I get to hangout at the Ark for the rest of the day." Bumblebee said.
"Sounds awesome!" Lincoln cheered.
Bumblebee drove all across town to the woods, and then drove into the cave, where he entered the Ark. Lincoln exits Bumblebee right when he transforms into robot mode. "What are you doing here Lincoln?" Blurr asked. "Shouldn't you be in school?"
"I just finished. Now I'm gonna be spending the rest of the day having fun with my best Autobot friend." Lincoln said while smiling at Bee.
"Whatever. I'm thankful I'm not paired up with a human." Blurr said right before he walked away.
"He's in a happy mood." Lincoln said sarcastically.
"He's always Grumpy." Bumblebee said. "Come on let's play some video games. I found game called Moral Kombat 1."
"Really? I've been trying to buy that game for weeks." Lincoln said as both of them rushed into the main deck of the Arc, where a bunch of human objects for games or entertainment were placed.
"Let's rumble." Bumblebee said as he picked up a controller and turned on the screen.
They started their first match as Lincoln was playing as Scorpion and Bumblebee was Johnny Cage. After some heated gameplay on all rounds, Lincoln won with a brutal fatality.
"Yes! That's a fatality!" Lincoln cheered.
"No fair! Your fingers are smaller than mine!" Bumblebee complained.
"Sorry Bee. That's how we win on Earth." Lincoln said as he did his victory dance.
"Rematch?" Bumblebee asked.
"You know it." Lincoln replied as he picked up his controller.
Before they could choose their next characters, Wheeljack showed up with some kind of rocket-like object in his hands. "Hey, Bumblebee. I've been looking for you." Wheeljack said.
"Oh hey Wheeljack." Bumblebee greeted. "Is that a jet pack in your hands?"
"They're a pair of prototype Turbo Boosters I've been working on after that Energon mission." Wheeljack replied. "They're specifically meant for boosting the speed of a Cybertronian's vehicle form. Lisa helped me make a few modifications to them."
"Wait you had these on the Ark?" Bumblebee asked.
"I figured we test them out." Wheeljack said.
"With who?" Lincoln asked. "Arcee? Sideswipe? Cliffjumper? Mirage? Prowl?"
"No. Bumblebee is going to test them out Lincoln." Wheeljack said.
"Wait, me? I'm testing these bad boys out?" Bumblebee asked excitedly.
"Of course." Wheeljack said. "Now let's get out onto the field."
"Alright! I'm gonna be the fastest Bot on Earth!" Bumblebee cheered as he ran towards the exit.
"Wait for me!" Lincoln called, following the two Autobots.
Outside of the Ark, Wheeljack was installing the boosters onto Bumblebee's back. "Alright Bumblebee, the boosters are on. Now transform." Wheeljack said.
Bumblebee transformed into his vehicle more and the boosters appeared on his top sides. "Neat!" Bumblebee and Lincoln both replied.
"I'll admit, those boosters do suit you well." Wheeljack said.
"Glad yoh noticed, Jacky." Bumblebee replied. "Hop in, Lincoln. I wanna give these babies a test run with you."
"I think we should test these out without a human passenger." Wheeljack suggested.
"Don't worry Wheeljack. I'll be fine." Lincoln said as he jumped into Bumblebee. "I can handle Leni's driving, I'm sure an extra speed boost is fine."
"I'm sure you can, buddy." Bumblebee agreed.
"Alright. We're going to test the boosters. Get ready Bee." Wheeljack siad.
"I'm always ready." Bumblebee said in a cocky tone.
"Alright go!" Wheeljack shouted.
Bumblebee started up his engine and immediately drove away at his maximum speed. Lincoln was pushed back in his seat when Bumblebee sped up. "This is amazing!" Lincoln said.
"I know, right?! This is the fastest I've ever gone!" Bumblebee yelled happily.
"You said it, Bee! You rock!" Lincoln replied.
"Hit the brakes!" Wheeljack shouted. "You're about to crash!"
"Relax, Jacky! I've got this!" Bumblebee said as he immediately swerved away from the tree he was about to drive into.
"Oh thank goodness." Wheeljack sighed in relief.
"Let's take this to the streets, Bee! Everyone needs to see how fast you are!" Lincoln announced.
"Heck yeah!" Bumblebee agreed and got on the dirt road leading to the city.
"Don't attract too much attention!" Wheeljack called.
"We won't!" Lincoln and Bumblebee replied before they were soon gone.
Meanwhile on the Nemesis, Shatter and Dropkick were currently working with one of the terminals as it displayed a map of Royal Woods.
"This must be where those humans live?" Dropkick theorized.
"A little town that no one will remember." Shatter said right she noticed an Energon signal on the screen. "Looks like one of the Autobots are out on a drive."
"Which one?" Dropkick asked.
Shatter typed something on the keyboard and zoomed in on the Energon signal, they both see a small yellow car with a black stripe on the left side. "Bumblebee." Shatter said as she smirked.
"This is the perfect time to get that stupid scout." Dropkick sneered. "It's like that human sounds i recently heard about. Nothing tastes better than sweet revenge."
"I agree. Let's go pay him a visit." Shatter said as they walked away from the console.
Lincoln and Bumblebee were racing straight through the streets of Royal Woods while still using the boosters. "Man this is so cool!" Lincoln shouted.
"You took the words right out of my voice box, Linc!" Bumblebee agreed.
"I so can't wait to tell Clyde and Ronnie Anne about your new upgrade!" Lincoln said.
"Oh yeah! Even Hot Shot is going to be jealous of my boosters!" Bumblebee said. However, the two of them began hearing the noise of sirens and Lincoln looked at the top mirror to see a police car chasing them. "Please tell me that's not Barricade." Bumblebee said.
"It's hard to tell." Lincoln said as he looked in the mirror.
Bumblebee was able to shut down his boosters and pulled over at the left side, causing the police car to park next to it. Stepping out of the car was a police car was a cop, who approached Bumblebee and knocked on his door.
"Oh crud it's a cop!" Lincoln gulped. "Do you have a hologram or something?!"
"Sure do." Bumblebee whispered.
"Sir can you please roll down your window!" The officer ordered, right when the window rolls down to see a fair skinned man with black hair, sunglasses on his face and a leather jacket.
"Is there a problem officer?"
"Do you know how fast you were driving this vehicle?" The officer asked.
"I'm not sure, but you're obviously gonna tell me." The driver replied.
"You were going double the speed limit." said the policed officer as he wrote a ticket.
"My bad, sir. I'll make sure to check the usual human speed limits from now on." The driver said assuringly.
"Human speed limits?" The officer repeated.
"Dang it Bee." Lincoln grumbled.
"I don't usually get out in the city." said the driver.
"Right. I'm gonna keep an eye on you, pal." The officer said firmly before he walked back to his car.
The window rolls up right when the hologram disappears. "That was close." Bumblebee said.
"Way too close." Lincoln added.
"I got a ticket for speeding. But at least it wasn't Barricade." Bumblebee said.
"True, otherwise we'd be dead right now." Lincoln replied.
"Anyway let's head back to base." said Bumblebee. Bumblebee started driving his way back to the Ark without the use of his boosters. Little did they know a blue muscle car and a read muscle car turned around the corner and started following Bumblebee.
"There he is." Dropkick said.
"Let's finish what we started." Shatter said.
Lincoln soon noticed the two muscle cars that were following them. "Hey Bee. We got two muscle cars following us." Lincoln said.
"That's odd." Bumblebee Replied.
"Yeah, they do look familiar." Lincoln admitted. "Not in a good way."
"Hang on tight. I'm gonna try and lose them." Bumblebee said as he began to speed up.
"No, you don't." Dropkick said before he and Shatter immediately pursued them.
"They're gaining on us!" Lincoln said as he looked back.
"I'm going into the forest! Hold tight!" Bumblebee stated.
Bumblebee speeds up and takes a hard left turn into the forest, right when Shatter and Dropkick followed them as well. "You're leading them to the Ark?!" Lincoln asked.
"No way! That's a stupid thing to do!" Bumblebee replied. "I'm luring them to a different part of the forest!"
"Where the heck is Bumblebee going?" Dropkick asked.
"I have no clue." Shatter said.
Bumblebee shifted his stingers out of the sides of his vehicle mode and fired them at Shatter and Dropkick, causing the two Decepticons to quickly steer out of the way.
Both Shatter and Dropkick both transformed into robot mode and took their blasters out. Bumblebee transformed into mode as well and prepared his stingers to fire. But he heard something pounding on his chest on the inside, he reached into his chest and took out Lincoln. "Whoops sorry." Bumblebee smiled nervously.
"Next time, let me out before you do that." Lincoln said as his face started to turn green.
Bumblebee placed Lincoln on the ground so he can run away and hide. "We have a score to settle. And there are no Autobots to save you." Dropkick said.
"I can take care of myself, Cons!" Bumblebee replied.
"Are those your little words? So be it." Shatter said.
Shatter fired her blaster at Bumblebee, who jumped out of the way and fired his stingers at his two Decepticon foes. Dropkick brought out a large blade from his wrist and deflected the stinger shots before he grabbed Bumblebee and punched him in the face, tossing him straight into a bunch of trees.
Dropkick lunged towards Bumblebee to stab him, but he dodged the blade by rolling out of the way. Then Bumblebee fired his stinger at Dropkick's optic, causing him to grovel in pain. "My optics! Where are you, Autobot?!" Dropkick asked angrily as he swiped his blade around aimlessly.
"Ok that was a mistake." Bumblebee said right before Shatter grabbed him from behind and placed her blaster to his head.
"Any last words, scout?" Shatter asked, charging up her blaster.
"You're even uglier for this angle." Bumblebee said as he aimed his stinger at Shatter's face.
Shatter didn't have time to dodge and the stinger blasted her right in the face. "Scrap!" Shatter shouted as she released her grip on Bumblebee, causing him to get away from Shatter.
"Can't believe that worked." Bumblebee said.
The yellow Autobot took the opportunity to swiftly knock Shatter and Dropkick on the back of their heads, instantly knocking them both down. "Is the fight over?" Lincoln asked as he poked his head from behind a tree.
"They won't be online for a while, Lincoln." Bumblebee assured.
"Let's get out of here before they wake up." Lincoln said.
"Good idea." Bumblebee agreed before transforming. Lincoln enters Bumblebee and they drove back to the Ark. Shatter and Dropkick soon regained consciousness and looked around to see that Lincoln and Bumblebee were gone.
"Don't tell me they got away." Dropkick muttered.
"They did, all because that scout shot us in the optics." Shatter said.
"Ah scrap." said Dropkick.
"But…we will still have the last laugh." Shatter said with a smirk. "Before that scout shot me, I had time to plant a little surprise gift on him. Once he returns to the Arc, every Autobot will be blown to pieces within a short amount of minutes."
"Excellent." Dropkick said. "Megatron is going to like this."
Wheeljack was patiently tapping his finger against his arm as he waited for Lincoln and Bumblebee to return. "Where are they?" Wheeljack asked. "They should be back by now."
Right after he finished talking, Bumblebee drove right in to Wheeljack and hit the brakes before a Lincoln jumped out his seat. "Sorry we're late Wheeljack. We ran into Shatter and Dropkick, and Bee got a speeding ticket." Lincoln said. "Not in that order."
"But I managed to give those Cons the slip." Bumblebee said as he transformed.
"Well that's good at least." Wheeljack said.
"I should probably head back home soon." said Lincoln.
However, the three of them began to hear a beeping noise nearby. "Uh, where's that sound coming from?" Bumblebee asked.
"It's coming from you Bumblebee!" Lincoln replied.
Bumblebee quickly opened his hood and caught something that fell out, which was revealed to be a small bomb-like device. "It's a bomb!" Lincoln, Bumblebee and Wheeljack exclaimed.
"Shatter must have put it on me." Bumblebee said.
"We've gotta get rid of it!" Lincoln stated.
Bumblebee grabs the bomb and runs outside and throws the bomb in the air. "Duck and cover!" Bumblebee yelled as he kneeled down to Lincoln and shielded him.
The bomb exploded in mid air, causing the shockwave to hit some trees, but luckily Lincoln was not caught in the blast zone. Once the explosion was only, Bumblebee and Lincoln both looked up. "That was a a close one." Lincoln said.
"Way too close." Bumblebee added. "If I survived and you didn't, your sisters would've torn me apart."
"Yeah you would not like Lola when she's mad. Trust me I know." Lincoln said.
"Next time I give you an invention to test out, I'm sending backup." Wheeljack said.
"Yeah I think that's a good idea." Lincoln agreed.
"At least Prime and Magnus weren't here to see this." Bumblebee said.
"Yeah, you're really lucky." Wheeljack replied.
"Anyway I need a ride home." Lincoln said.
"I can do that." Bumblebee replied before he transformed. "What are best friends for?"
"Third best friend, actually. Behind Clyde and Ronnie Anne." Lincoln said. "But, you're still above Rusty, Liam, Zach and Stella."
"Oh that's good. I'm better than those guys." Bumblebee said. "Whoever they are." Bumblebee transforms into car mode and opens the door for Lincoln.
"Just be lucky they don't even know about you, because they'd be really mad at you for saying that." Lincoln replied as he got into the driver's seat.
"Noted." Bumblebee said before driving off.
"That was a close call today." Wheeljack said.
"Think you can build a sweet upgrade for me, Wheeljack?" Sideswipe asked as he approached the Autobot scientist on his wheel feet.
"Nope. No more upgrades for anyone, today." Wheeljack said firmly, marching back into the Arc for a much needed rest.
"Can't blame a Bot for trying." Sideswipe shrugged. "I bet Leni doesn't have a difficult life like I do."
