In Class 1-A's Classroom...
Midoriya could barely get any sleep that night. Once he got a phone call from his mom, everyone else that got sent to Paris got a phone call from their parents. Midoriya could tell that the teachers had reached out to them to tell them what was going on. Even Bakugo got a phone call to his surprise.
All he could think about was Lila and Gabriel settling down in his mother's apartment. She told him that their names were Cerise and Gabi Bianca, but he knew that those were fake names. It definitely wasn't a coincidence that two guests in her apartment are from Paris and lost of their luggage. He tossed and turned, hoping that she was okay.
He had to go over there and make sure she was okay.
Once morning rolled around, he realized that Mr. Aizawa would never let him go on a school day. Luckily, it was a Friday. If he could just make it through the next couple of days, then he could go see her. He couldn't stand the thought of Lila and Gabriel in his apartment, but he knew that they clearly weren't planning on doing anything.
He took his time putting on his school uniform and soon grabbed his backpack. He then noticed that his upgrades were sitting on his desk. Without hesitation, he grabbed a tiny piece of a random one and ate it. He didn't know why he did that, maybe out of frustration. Once he swallowed it, he didn't feel anything. He looked at the one that he ate, and it was the pink one.
Midoriya noticed that he'd been drawn to that one for a while and didn't know why. Once he didn't feel anything, he shook it off and put the upgrades in his backpack. He put his backpack on and walked down to the elevator. He ended up going down with Aoyama who was ready for school as well.
"Good morning Midoriya!" Aoyama said a little chipper in the morning, "I hope that you're feeling okay, oui!"
"Yeah. I'm okay," Midoriya said, remembering that everyone had found out about his mom and Lila.
Marinette ended up explaining what was going on since everyone came down to Midoriya freaking out and pale around his face. They even all noticed Jirou running out of the dormitory before everyone else. Marinette even noticed her crying before she left.
"I hope Jirou is okay. She seemed down about something last night," Aoyama said back to him.
"Yeah. I noticed it too," Midoriya said to him, "She's been a bit distant lately. It might have something to do with Adrien since they dated for a while."
"Ooh! There's love in the air," Aoyama said back with a sparkling pose, "How scandalous, oui!"
"P-Please don't say anything, Aoyama," Midoriya whispered to him, "Jirou doesn't want everyone to know about this. Clearly she's a bit uncomfortable talking about it. Please Aoyama."
"Fine. I'm not one to spoil a fancy plate of cheese," Aoyama said back with a sparkle, "Besides, I heard Jirou say that she's in love with Adrien anyway."
Then the elevator doors open, causing Midoriya to not react in that moment. Aoyama left him speechless and winked at him. He tried to shake it off, but then he spotted Jirou getting something to eat in the kitchen. Midoriya felt his stomach growling so he couldn't quite avoid her at the moment. He grabbed some cereal and milk and made himself a bowl. He noticed that her eyes were red and looking a little baggy from not getting any sleep.
Midoriya felt really bad for her and really wanted to say something to her. He was nervous that if he said anything, he might accidentally reveal that he knows what happened last night. Once he got a cup of orange juice, he stood beside her a little nervously.
"G-Good morning Jirou," Midoriya said to her as he acted like he didn't hear anything from Aoyama.
Jirou didn't even seem to notice him and rubbed her eyes to look at him.
"Oh. Hey Midoriya," Jirou said back as she ate her granola bar, "Sorry, I didn't get a very good night sleep last night."
"Yeah. I didn't either," Midoriya said to her as he rubbed his eyes.
"Oh yeah. I heard something about Lila and Gabriel staying at your mom's apartment," Jirou said a little more urgently, "Someone should go check on her."
"Yeah. I want to, but there's no way Mr. Aizawa is going to let me leave during a school day. Not after what happened with our field trip in Paris," Midoriya explained to her as he took a sip of his orange juice.
"Paris... right..." Jirou said, clearly not over what happened last night.
It was quiet between the two of them, and Midoriya really felt bad for her. She kept yawning, making her tear up.
"You know, we are friends Jirou," Midoriya said to her, "We may not hang out that much, but I still care about you. You're a good friend, and I really hope that we can hang out some time. Even if you just want to talk, that's fine with me."
Jirou was surprised to hear him talk to her like this. She stared at him, and Midoriya could tell that he got through to her. He noticed that she barely had anything to eat or drink and grabbed her a cup of orange juice. Once he handed it to her, she smiled and took it from him.
"Thanks Midoriya," Jirou said with a smile, "I really needed that from a friend right now."
Midoriya smiled back and felt like she was going to be okay. Once he finished his bowl of cereal and orange juice, Jirou grabbed his school uniform by the arm. He looked back at her, and she seemed a little nervous about something.
"C-Can I walk to school with you?" Jirou asked him, "I just don't feel like being alone right now."
Midoriya smiled and noticed how much better she looked.
"Of course Jirou," Midoriya said back, "I don't mind you tagging along. I'm sure Ochaco and Iida would love to hang out with you."
Jirou smiled at him as she took a big gulp of her orange juice in one sip and slammed it down on the counter.
"Okay. Let's go," Jirou said to him, "I'm sure Mr. Aizawa wouldn't want us running late."
Midoriya walked with her towards Uraraka and Iida who were already heading out of the dormitory. Uraraka and Iida noticed her right away and smiled widely.
"Hey Jirou!" Uraraka said to her, "How are you doing this morning?"
"I'm doing okay," Jirou said back a little nervous, "I hope I didn't bother anyone when I ran outside last night."
"Don't worry about it. We were just worried about you," Iida said to her, "I hope that you're feeling better this morning. You look like you didn't get that much sleep last night."
"Y-Yeah. I just couldn't fall asleep last night," Jirou said back.
"So, Jirou was wondering if she could walk with us to school today," Midoriya said to them, "Is that okay with you guys?"
"Of course! We barely get to hang out anyway," Uraraka said back as she gently dragged Jirou over to their group.
"The more the merrier," Iida said to them with a smile on his face.
They all walked out of the dormitory and headed to school. Once they left, pretty everyone headed out. Jirou was talking with Uraraka while Midoriya kept an eye on her. He noticed that Jirou was laughing and talking to her, which made him smile even more. Then he noticed Class 1-M walking out of their dormitory next door.
Midoriya spotted Adrien and Marinette holding hands, and then he noticed Jirou locking eyes with him. Adrien seemed to get a little nervous, but kept walking. Jirou tried not to freak out as they passed by each other. Midoriya could tell that whatever went down between them, it wasn't anything good. She tried to avoid eye contact with him, but still found herself glancing up to look at what he was doing.
Midoriya really wanted to help, but there really wasn't much he could do right now. All he wanted to do was get to class so he could talk to Mr. Aizawa about going to see his mom soon. Midoriya noticed Jirou starting to lean more towards Kaminari at one point and let him join in. She seemed to forget about Adrien once Kaminari showed up, and she started laughing again. Midoriya smiled and could tell that she might end up having a decent day at school after all.
Once they got to class, Midoriya noticed Su Han standing with Mr. Aizawa. He didn't know why, but it definitely made things more interesting. Class 1-A all entered their classroom and settled down at their desks. Midoriya waited by Mr. Aizawa's desk, and he quickly noticed that he was out of his seat.
"Midoriya, why aren't you sitting in your seat?" Mr. Aizawa asked him.
"Sir, I just really needed to talk to you before class starts," Midoriya said back with a determined expression, "I really need to see my mom soon. It's really important sir."
Mr. Aizawa looked at Midoriya, and then at the rest of his class. They seemed to know what was going on, and so he let him explain things.
"Okay. What's going on?" Mr. Aizawa asked him.
"My mom's taking care of two guests that are from Paris. They even lost their luggage on their way here," Midoriya tried to explain, "These two guests are clearly Lila and Gabriel. I need to see her soon."
Mr. Aizawa could tell that this was bothering him a lot. He didn't even look like he got any sleep last night.
"Very well. Sunday morning, you can go see her, but you have to bring someone to go along with you," Mr. Aizawa said back.
"Sunday? Sir, I was hoping to go after school," Midoriya said to him.
"You really think that I'm going to let you leave U.A. so soon? Especially with all of those akumas around? I'm sorry Midoriya, but things are different here in Japan, and you know that," Mr. Aizawa said to him, "I can't have you running across the city if something happens with an akuma around. I would never hear the end of it."
"But sir, my mom is--"
Mr. Aizawa's quirk activated, making his hair stand up and his eyes glow piercing red. Midoriya kept quiet and stiffened up, nervous to say anything else to him.
"Are you done now? I need to start class," Mr. Aizawa said to him, "I'll check in on Mrs. Midoriya personally during lunch. If she's okay, then you can go see her Sunday. Is that clear?"
"Yes sir," Midoriya said, realizing that was the best that he was going to get.
Midoriya slumped in his seat, and everyone still seemed slightly worried for his mom. Whatever was going on with her, Midoriya could always call her after school.
"Alright everyone," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "We're going to have a slightly different class today. I have Master Su Han here. He has joined our staff here for the time being. He said that he was going to teach us some things about the Miraculous, Kwamis and maybe even how to repel akumas."
Midoriya and just about everyone was shocked to hear this. He definitely didn't expect to be learning anything from Su Han considering he barely knows anything about him.
Su Han stepped up as a teacher and looked at all of them one by one. Mostly Bakugo, Uraraka and Midoriya however, making Midoriya sit up straight.
"I can see that all of you already know a fair amount of things about Miraculous. At least half of you have interacted with them, maybe even worn one," Su Han said and noticed Jirou slumping in her seat, "Can I please see a show of hands if anyone here has used any of Ladybug's Miraculous?"
No one raised their hands, except for a shaky hand from Jirou. About half of the classroom freaked out when Jirou raised her hand.
"Jirou?! You used a Miraculous?!" Kaminari cried out.
"Y-Yeah... B-But we kind of had to with HawkMoth around at the time," Jirou explained to them and Su Han.
"Hmm... and what Miraculous did you use exactly?" Su Han asked her with a suspicious look.
Midoriya could tell that she was having a hard time saying it out loud. He knew and understood why, but he was hoping that she'd handle it okay.
"Umm... I used Cat Noir's..." Jirou said a little nervously with a blush over her face.
Half of the classroom freaked out with Kaminari almost falling out of his seat.
"Adrien?! You used his Miraculous?!" Kaminari cried out, "Why would someone like him give you his Miraculous? I knew he was no good."
Mr. Aizawa used his quirk, and Kaminari froze in place. Kaminari sat back down in his seat as Mr. Aizawa got them to calm down. Midoriya could tell that Su Han was not approving Jirou using the Black Cat Miraculous just based on his expression.
"Of course you got the Black Cat Miraculous of all Miraculous," Su Han said to them, but mostly to Jirou, "The Black Cat Miraculous can be very dangerous if in the wrong hands. Something like that should only be given to someone that you completely trust. Now for Ladybug's Miraculous, yes it can be dangerous, but it's nothing like the Black Cat Miraculous. Does anyone know why they are the most powerful Miraculous?"
Midoriya without realizing it shot his arm up in the air, but got flustered when everyone looked at him.
"Yes, Izuku?" Su Han said to him, "Care to explain?"
"Y-Yes sir," Midoriya said to him, "The Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous are equals and work together to stop villains like HawkMoth and Chrysalis. But if both are worn, you have the power to grant any wish you want."
Everyone looked at him, especially his classmates that weren't in Paris.
"Yes. Very good, Izuku," Su Han said to him.
"But wait a minute," Sero interrupted, "If they can just grant any wish they want, they why couldn't they wish for our friends to come home right away? That could've saved us a lot of time."
"Because it's dangerous. HawkMoth for example wanted to wish for his wife to come back, but by doing so, he might've ended up hurting someone in the process. Adrien could've even gotten hurt," Midoriya tried to explain.
Everyone was shocked to hear this, even the ones that went on the Paris field trip didn't know that it could do that.
"Precisely," Su Han said back, "Very good Izuku. I guess Ladybug did teach you a few things about Miraculous."
"Yes sir."
Su Han continued on with the class and spotted Bakugo's Miraculous. He even noticed Sparkky trying to peek out of his pocket to watch the class.
"Katsuki was it?" Su Han asked him, catching his attention.
Midoriya and just about everyone else looked at him. He could tell that Bakugo wasn't a fan of being the center of attention today.
"Yes sir," Bakugo said back, trying not to get annoyed.
"May I see your Miraculous and Kwami? I promise to give it back since it's not Ladybug's," Su Han asked as he reached out for it.
Bakugo flinched in his seat and looked down at his Miraculous. For once, he actually didn't want to take it off. He hesitated, but took it off anyway. Bakugo got up and gave it to him without looking at everyone else. He sat down and was a little concerned since Su Han wasn't exactly in an agreement with Ladybug having them keep their Miraculous.
Midoriya felt like this was going to get interesting.
Another amazing chapter!
I'm having a lot of fun with these few chapters! The fact that I didn't plan on adding Su Han, and he becomes a teacher at U.A. is crazy to me! I just thought he'd an interesting character to have in at the last minute of the first book! I like where this class is going, especially with everyone else learning about Miraculous, Kwamis and akumas. It looks like Bakugo has to let Su Han borrow his Miraculous, where's this going to go I wonder??
What's going to happen next??
More to come soon!
