Chapter 9
1948
I was in the diner when he walked in. I had started going off of the vegetarian diet ever since I had the vision of the family. I was unsure about where they were but I thought it'd give me a head start if I was already familiar with what they ate. I found it quite easy to make the transition.
Jasper came into the diner in army uniform. He looked nervous and unsure if he should be there. I saw him sit on a table on his own, away from everyone else. I told the other waiters that I would serve him, they seemed relieved as the diner was busy that day. But I was a girl. So, I had less to do of course. I walked over to his table and sat down. His head shot up staring at me with scared eyes. "It's okay, Jasper. I'm Alice. It's nice to meet you." His face slowly transitioned to a confused look. I found it funny. He was still sat in silence so I decided to explain some more. I spoke quietly but I knew he could hear me. "I'm a vampire as well. I have visions, you see. So, I had a vision of you coming into the diner and staying with me in my apartment. Of course, you were helping me find a family of five that I've also had a vison of. They help us and become people that we really trust. You don't have to be nervous around me." I smiled brightly at him. Partially nervous myself, I sat picking at my nails under the table.
Jasper started to seem calmer, as he began to relax his shoulders and expression. The conversation then started to flow a lot more and we were really hitting it off. I wasn't sure how he felt but I really liked him. I was glad that I would get to spend so much time with him.
Two years, it took for us to find the family, but we kept practicing vegetarianism. Jasper struggled quite a lot but kept going. I was hoping that this family would be able to help him more than me. I didn't like to see him struggle like he was. Another vision of the family came over me only a day before we found them. We were walking to a Restraunt near by the apartment for tea one night when I had the vision. Jasper was familiar with them from then on and so he was unfazed. We talking about the family and meeting them, what we'd say, then, my surroundings changed.
Me and Jasper sat on their sofa in the living room. I was sat quite comfortably looking around the room intrigued and yet Jasper sat beside me on the edge of his seat, fidgeting and nervous. The same man sat down in front of us, he had blond, short hair, like it was freshly cut. I thought he must be the one who owns the house. I was intrigued. I wanted to know how everyone knew each other. In the doorway I could see the blond that I saw behind the man earlier, standing leaning against the door. She looked just as interested in us as I was in them.
Then, I was back. Jasper was stood holding my hand next to me. "What did you see?" He asked.
"I saw the family again. And I know where they are." Jasper's face lit up. However, I couldn't tell whether it was happiness or if he was scared because everything we had been waiting for, for a while, was actually happening.
Chapter 10
Present day
I decided to stop because the rest includes all my siblings and my parents so they know what happens. Although, Bella didn't look too thrilled.
"Um, Alice? What are you doing? Why are you stopping?"
"Because, that's my whole story. There isn't anything else to say."
"I know the rest of you were there but I would like to know what happened when you all met Jasper and Alice."
"Want me to carry on, Bella?
"Yes, please." She smiled.
