Wow it's been so long but guys please bear with me as I'm still trying to handle my struggles of laziness.

Meanwhile at the boat docks, Max was telling Bobby about Roxanne's condition while fixing on the final touches on the boat. Bobby was holding his soda and a joint in one hand.

"And this is what happens every single day." Max said as he finished telling Bobby about Roxanne's condition.

"How long is it gonna take for her memory to come back?" Bobby asks as he was just standing around with his soda in his hand.

"Her doctor said it may never come back." Max said.

"So basically, what you're saying is… she's perfect for you." Bobby said with a smile as he sits down.

"What do you mean?" Max said as he started mopping the floors.

"You can hang out with her all day with no attachment, because-"

"Her flight leaves every night?" Max interrupted. "There's just one problem though." he says.

"What is it?" Bobby asked.

"It's evil." Max said.

"No it isn't." Bobby said. "You can meet her, hang out, flirt, no commitment, nobody gets hurt-"

"She got brain damage, you psycho!" Max interrupted again.

"Okay, I'll give you that one." Bobby said. "But I think it'd be healthy for you. You haven't allowed yourself to connect with girls." he says before smoking his joint.

Max rolled his eyes in response. "I appreciate your interest, but leave me alone." he said.

"Hey, you'd be doing exactly what her father does: Giving her a wonderful day. When it's time for you to go on your big boat trip, poof, you just leave. She'll never even know you're gone." Bobby said.

"See, I'm not sure about that "poofing" part, because I'm not a very good poofer. Can you demonstrate more of a good poof for me." Max said with a smile at the end.

"Quit busting my coconuts for five seconds." Bobby said before continue smoking his joint.

"All right…" Max said before noticing Bobby was still sitting around. "Would you stop poofing on the joint and do some work?!" Max suddenly yelled.
Bobby gets up. "All right, Let's get this sucker ready." Bobby said before gonig to the back of the boat as Max turned slowly towards the view of the ocean water.

"Captain log: November 7th, Nearly midnight. The Sea Serpent is fully recovered from her mishaps and ready to once again, brave the ocean water." Max thought in his head. His thoughts was interrupted when he heard some wood break apart and he turned around and saw Bobby fell through the deck but was holding up his upper body.

"I think my stitches open up because.." Bobby said before Max rolled his eyes. "Do you have a cat? Because I can feel something licking me"

The next day at the diner, Pete was, of course, fixing some spam and eggs for a customer and he heard a small knock on the front door beside him. He turns and sees Max through the door.

"Hey Peanut Butter Cups. What are you doing?" Pete asked.
"I just wanted to say hi to Roxanne." Max said softly.
Pete immediately starts walking away from him as he tries to get away from him.
"I promise you I'm not gonna do anything wrong." Max said as he walked through the door and followed Pete.
"What did Sue say?" Pete asked Max as he held a huge knife in front of his face.

"She said that if I talk to Roxanne again, you'll kill me with a meat cleaver." Max said with his hands up in defense.

"She's the boss, but don't worry. She probably didn't want to talk to you anyway." Pete said with a smirk.

"What does that mean?" Max asked with a confused look.

"This ain't a disco." Pete said. "She doesn't want guys hitting on her during her breakfast."

"She does if it's Max Goof." Max said with confidence.

"Who that?" Pete asked.

"Who that?" Me that. I bet 20 bucks I can get her to have breakfast with me again."

Pete looked at Roxanne, reading a book, and then looked back at Max. "You're on." he said as he shook hands with Max.

Sue walks out of the kitchen with Roxanne's order of waffles and then put it on her table.

"Hey Sue, nice haircut." Roxanne complimented Sue.

"Oh, mahalo. See you in a bit." Sue said with a sweet smile before walking away. The moment she sees Max, she frowned as she stopped walking in front of him. "What are you doing here?"

"Pete and I have an arrangement. You can trust me." Max said as Sue hands him a menu and then walks away without saying a word.

Max then sat on a bar stool, with Roxanne behind him. He turned and saw she was building her waffle castle sculpture and she was having trouble with her door to her sculpture. Max immediately knew what to do. He grabbed a toothpick and then went up to her table. "You should try this…" he said as he put the toothpick through the sculpture, holding the door piece. Roxanne looked confused and then it finally hit her…at least for her.

"Oh, are you from a country where it's okay to stick your fingers all over in other people's food?" Roxanne asked with a curious look while Max was in disbelief.

'

"Uhh…no I'm from this country. Why? Were you gonna eat that?...Alright, have a good meal.." He said before walking away, sees Pete watching the whole time and did two thumbs down.
Max started walking out of the diner when an old man said something.

"That was pathetic." the old man said.

"Why don't you choke on your Spam?" Max said in frustration as he was walking out. "Double or nothing tomorrow." he said before walking out.

The next day at the diner, Max was back at the same spot from yesterday. He remembered something about Roxanne being an art teacher so he started drawing on the diner's napkin and when he was done, he got up and went up to her.

"Hey, I'm sorry to bother you but you look like a person who appreciates fine art…I wanted your opinion on something…" Max said before showing her his drawing.

"So I drew this. It's a picture of a father and son fishing off a fishing boat. There's a walrus right here-"

Roxanne suddenly interrupted Max by speaking in a foreign language.

"Huh?" Max said, confused.

Roxanne continued speaking in a Hawlian foreign language.

"Oh you don't speak English…okay" Max said as he didn't know what to do now so he just walked away. "Doesn't look Chinese…" he said, feeling confused about the foreign language. He looks up and sees Pete dancing around the kitchen as he won another $20. Max sits down at the bar stool, next to the old man.

"Can I have that?" the old man asked. "I need something to wipe my ass with."

"Shut up…" Max said to the old man.

The next day, Max was still trying to get Roxanne to date. He had one more plan so it's pretty much all or nothing. He sat at the bar stool again at the diner near Roxanne, as she was sitting at the same booth, and he was holding the menu in front of him. He looks behind him and sees Roxanne reading the newspaper as usual. He started whimpering, hoping Roxanne would hear him. Roxanne did hear him but quickly went back reading her newspaper. It seems that she didn't notice him fully so he decided to stick two fingers in his drink and was rubbing around his eyes, making himself look like he was crying as he started whimpering loudly, the whole diner can hear his "breakdown." Roxanne finally notices him.

"I wonder what's the matter with him…" Roxanne said to herself.

"Looks like a stupid asshole to me." the old man said as he was sitting behind Roxanne.

Max continues whimpering and whining really loudly, trying to get Roxanne's attention. Roxanne eventually approached him from behind.

"Excuse me." She said as she tapped his shoulder and Max jumped a bit. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to startle you."

"No, it's alright…" Max said in a fake whimpering voice.

"Are you okay?" Roxanne asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just having… a problem with…something." Max said.

"Is it something that I could help you with?" Roxanne asked.

"No, it's just I… can't read…" Max said. In his mind, it sounded stupid but hoping it works. Pete was watching the interaction while with a smirk on his face.

"You gotta be kidding me…" Pete said.

"Here, I can read it for you." Roxanne said as she tried to take the menu from him but Max moved away.

"No, thank you. I can do this on my own. Appreciate the sentiment." Max said. "I'm going to take an order of…" Max sighs loudly as he acts out he was struggling reading.

"Pan…" Max said softly. "Pan…"

"Pan…" Roxanne corrected him."

"Panku…" Max said softly.

"Ca…" Roxanne corrected him once again.

"Panclocks." Max said.

"Pancakes!" Sue corrected him while taking an order from someone.

"Okay, I'll take pancakes." the guy said as he handed Sue his menu, not knowing the situation.

Max slammed his menu on the bar and put his hands down. "I'm so stupid! Stupid. Stupid Stupid."

"Oh don't cry." Roxanne said to him as he puts his hand on her back.

"I'm such a loser!" Max said in a whining voice as he whined really loud, which everyone in the diner could hear.

Roxanne felt bad for his lack of knowledge of reading. "I'll tell you what. Why don't you come sit with me? We can have breakfast and I'll help you with some of the words." Roxanne said softly.

Max lifted his head and looked at her with a soft smile. "Okay…" he said with a sniff.

Pete, who was watching the whole thing, was shocked that the plan worked. As Roxanne walks back to her table, Max turns to Pete and smirks at him and then Pete was just pissed off and just flipped him out of frustration.

Throughout their entire breakfast, Roxanne was teaching Max some words, unaware of his little plan.

"So the C is the half circle thing, right?" Max asked.

"Yes." Roxanne said excitedly.

"Okay, I think I'm getting it." Max said. "How did you get so good at teaching?"

"I'm a teacher. I do it all the time." Roxanne said. "I'm an art teacher at the Haluki-liki Junior High."

"Well, you're the kind of teacher all the kids have a crush on. I know I would if I was in your class." Max said with a smile and then Roxanne smiled back.

Max puts his hands in front of him as he smells the fish on his hands, which gives him another idea. "My fingers smell like fish. That doesn't gross you out, does it?" he asked.

"No, not at all." Roxanne said with a smile as Max smiles as well.

Sue went up to Pete. "If Roxanne gets hurt, I'm gonna chop you with a meat cleaver." She threatened.

After breakfast, Max and Roxanne walk out of the diner to her car.

"So I had a good time." Roxanne said.

"Yeah, me too." Max said.

"Thank you very much." Roxanne said as she was about to open her car door but Max stopped her.

"Let me get it for you." Max said as he opened her car door for her.

"Thank you." Roxanne said as she got in her car and then Max shut the door for her.

Max starts staring at Roxanne in the eyes and starts having thoughts about that dream he had where Roxanne said she "eat him up the next day and the next" and so on and getting tripped and fell back. He eventually came back to reality and saw Roxanne was staring. "I'll see you around." Max said softly.

"Okay…" Roxanne said as she watched Max walking away.

As she does, she thought of something and started to frown. "Really, that's it?"

Max turned to her. "That's what?" he asked.

"All that flirting… and that phony "I can't read" stuff…and you're not gonna ask me out or at least, for my phone number?" Roxanne said with a disappointed look on her face.

Max's eyes widen in shock, he didn't expect she'll catch his plan. "But I can't read." he said.

"Oh shut up." Roxanne said. "That was honestly the goofiest thing I've ever seen, but then I thought "Hey, if this guy is so desperate to meet me, he might be worth talking to." she said as she put on her sunglasses. "But then I get stiffed…" she said before starting her car.

"No no no, you see, what happened was-"

"Mahalo for the ego boost." Roxanne said before driving away.

Max was now stuttering, trying to get her attention. "You're right, I feel like-. I gotta-. I can read a little!" he yelled before going to his car to catch her.

Sue and Pete, on the other hand, were watching the whole thing. "You idiot. I hope you're happy." she said before pulling out his phone and started dialing and put it on her ear. "Hello Marlin, it's Sue."
