Glimpse into the Multiverse

"Um, Mei, are you sure this is safe?" Izuku asked.

"Midoriya, you wound me," Mei replied. "My baby is as safe as a safety net cast over a circus act." She finished cranking up the machine, causing some sparks to fly out.
Izuku looked at Mei as she gave him a sheepish smile before going back to work. The machine he was seated under looked like an old hair drying machine from a salon. But the machine had a large VC visor attached to the helmet which had lots of cables attached to it that coursed with energy. It was attached to a comfortable chair with two armrests with cuffs on each of them. If Izuku didn't know any better, he would've thought that this machine was meant to be used in the treatment of criminals with hair manipulating quirks. But he knew better, this was Mei Hatsume's latest invention and she would not be so easily satisfied with mere hair conditioning machines. The cables were connected to a large computer where Mei was working. And if she was to be believed, it was something else entirely.

The Machine was the latest in a long line of impressive machines that Hatsume had built over the course of her time in UA. It wasn't just a normal piece of support for one of the heroes, but it was indeed something else. Ever since dealing with the possibilities of alternate realities from a movie she'd watched. She decided to break the mold and make a machine that could look into alternative universes. All she needed was a guinea-someone to test it out to see if it worked.

Fortunately for her, Izuku, Iida and Ochaco had come in asking for help with their equipment.

"Are you sure this is safe, Hatsume?" Iida eyed the machine with worry.
"Yeah, this won't fry Deku's brain or something, right?" Ochaco asked.

"Not to worry, glasses and Kirby!" Mei finished typing the information into the computer before turning to look at them. "My greatest baby is about to create history!"

"Um, what is it supposed to do, again?" Izuku asked as Mei popped in front of him.

"I'm glad you asked, Midoriya!" Mei pulled up a whiteboard. "I've created this baby to look into alternate universes and realities. Ever asked the question, what if? Well, this baby will answer those questions. I theorized that through the Collective Unconscious, we can look into other universes, synching the mind of the subject to look at multiple other realities where they themselves exist!"
This only got confused looks from the hero students.

"I plug you in and you see other lives you could've lived." Mei explained slowly.

"Doesn't sound safe," Izuku replied.

Mei ignored them, activating the machine.

Izuku's brain flooded with images. He felt like he was going into a roller coaster ride as his mind drifted through the multiverse. He gasped as his eyes adjusted to the information and a new reality opened up before his very eyes.

Danny Phantom

The wind hit his face as he flew through the night sky of Amity Park in his hot pursuit. He flew around the large statues of fallen angels and giants holding up the high streets in pursuit of his target. The night had been a long one and it was barely ten minutes after midnight. There was stuff that he needed to do before the next day and his prey was taking too much of his time. He didn't have time to play hide and seek. He turned to fly up into the sky, getting up to see what was going on. The change in weather and speed didn't bother him, if anything, it was nothing more than a calm breeze to his body. Even with the faint light of the clouded sky, the darkness held no secrets from him. His eyes landed on his target, leaving a faint green trail.

"I've got you!" Izuku called out, speeding up after it. "I have a lot to do tonight and the last thing I need is to keep hunting you. Now, answer my questions." He caught up to the being he was chasing after before dodging one of its tentacles.

The creature looked no different than a large green balloon with spectral tentacles sprouting from it. It could've been confused by an octopus with a strange green pigmentation. But the glowing red eyes, jagged mouth and its partial translucent body pointed to something else.

"Where is the one that brought you here?" Izuku asked, flying next to the ghost octopus.

The creature roared at him, swinging one of its tentacles at his chest. It hit him, sending him towards one of the buildings.

His eyes landed on the terrified couple that lived in the apartment he was about to go through. Crossing his arms on instinct, his body phased through the apartment, the couple and the whole building. He stopped himself after getting to the other side of the building. It was an odd sensation, passing through everything and feeling it but not being hurt in the slightest. He never wanted this power. The feeling of having the world at his fingertips and all the power to do whatever he wanted always left a bitter taste in his mouth.

"First, you make me late for class and now you make fun of me, big mistake." Izuku's eyes glowed a ghostly blue.

The ghost octopus flew at Izuku, trying to bite him. But Izuku was ready. His right hand glowed a spectral green as he made it into a fist. Meeting the ghost face to face, he blasted it with an ectoplasmic laser beam. The ray of green light cut through the night, destroying the spectral seafood platter.

Izuku sighed as he watched the remains float down across the night.

"Desiree will not be happy about me being late." Izuku turned to look at his reflection.

His hair was a white flame and his skin was a light green shade, almost ghostly.

Porco Rosso

The sun shone brightly over Izuku's head without a cloud in the sky to cover his brow. The sound of seagulls taking off to catch fish was the only sound that brought tranquility when the radio wasn't playing any music. Sweat covered his brow as he looked up, hoping for some rain to come down.

The Adriatic wasn't the worst place to be at, and the weather was good almost all the time, like an eternal summer of adventure. However, he often remembered that it was the rainy season in Japan around that time of year. The sound of the waters coming down on the streets and refreshing the land always brought a smile to his face. It certainly made all the aches and pains that he'd brought over from the war.

"Yo, Izuku, don't space out on me now," Marco aka Porco said as he blew off some smoke from his cigarette.

They stood over the motor engine of Marco's seaplane. A beauty of engineering coated in wood, metal and a bright red paint that made it stand out over the clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. Izuku remembered when they found it, all covered in dust inside an old warehouse. They had spent every penny they had together to put it back in working order, and now it was one of their main sources of income apart from Izuku's other job.

"Sorry, Marco, this heat is a bit much and I was hoping we'd get some rain soon." Izuku wiped his brow as they worked on fixing the seaplane. "The engine is clogged again. We may have to get a new one at this rate."

"Just as I was getting attached to it. Will it keep me up in the skies a little longer?" Marco asked.

"I'll see what I can do. Good thing you're not on the job yet." Izuku started fixing the engine, cleaning it the best he could. "I'll have to head to the mainland to get some new pieces, some tools as well."

"Well, as long as your job at Gina's is still steady, we won't starve." Marco passed Izuku the wrench he needed. "So, how's she doing?"

"You saw Gina last night, Marco. Still waiting for you," Izuku replied. "If you had any sense, you'd be going there every night."

Marco laughed as he walked away from the plane. It was no secret that he loved Gina, but he never seemed to be into the idea of being a normal couple. Just like Izuku had a few scars from the war, Marco had probably gotten something just as bad if not worse.

"What would she see in a pig like me?" Marco sat down under his umbrella before turning on the radio. "Instead of focusing on my love life, you should find yourself a girl."

"You're a pig, you know?"

Carmen Sandiego

"You are not getting away this time!" Izuku cried out as he ran through the streets of Rome.

Night had fallen and almost everyone had gone to bed, all but him and the woman coated in a red coat and a long red fedora. She ran quickly through the narrow streets like a phantom taunting young men to her. The sounds of the sirens and the alarms were the background music for their chase, and Izuku swore that he would not lose her this time. He'd barely caught a glimpse of her the last time in London and he'd only just missed her back in Mexico City. His legs picked up the speed as he tried to catch up to her.

She took a sharp right into another alley, letting her long brown locks flow in the gleaming light of the street. Izuku followed after her, briefly crashing against the brick wall of the alley. His mind raced as he wondered what it was that she had stolen, or more specifically from whom. Back at the gala there had been many ancient Roman pieces that every museum would've given their right wing to have on display and yet she'd only taken one particular piece out of all of them. Not only did he have to catch her but also he had to get the whole story.

"Okay, this alley has a fork up ahead, and it comes together around the next building," Izuku muttered. "If I take the one on the right I'll be able to cut her off before she gets to the other side of the building and to the street." Izuku took the turn to the right, jumping over some crates on his path.

He jumped out at the connection of the two alleys expecting the woman in red to be before him. But he didn't see her.

"What the?" Izuku muttered, looking around for signs of the woman only to feel some dirt falling on his shoulder.

He looked up to see the woman running up on the rooftops.

"How did she get up there?" Izuku asked in astonishment as she jumped on to the next building.

Izuku narrowed his eyes as he spotted a window cleaning platform. He ran up to it, turning it on before he got pulled all the way up to the rooftop. As he reached out and caught sight of the woman he'd been chasing with the background of the Colosseum and all the lights. It was the first time he'd seen the illusive woman that he'd been chasing, and he was smitten. Her caramel skin, long maroon-red hair and clear blue-gray colored eyes. There was no other way of saying it, she was beautiful and mysterious with that red ensemble. She would have easily been a movie star or a model if she wanted. But instead she chose to be a thief.

Izuku shook his head as he saw her holding up a jeweled necklace.

"Who are you Carmen Sandiego?"

Delicious in Dungeon

"What do you think we should make with this, Senshi?" Izuku asked, looking over the large downed bicorn.

They had been going deeper and deeper into the dungeon and he was running out of materials for his weapons. As they found some ore and black powder, they were attacked by a bicorn that seemed to want Izuku's head more than anything. He'd spent the whole time running from the damned horse as it tried to crush him under his hooves. His knowledge of monsters was not as extensive as Laios' but he knew that it wasn't common for that monster to be so aggressive to him specifically.

Luckily, one smoke bomb was enough to stun the bicorn and give Laios the chance to cut the creature's neck.

"We could make a salad." Marcille suggested.

"Not a bad idea, but we need more protein to keep going deeper into the dungeon. Besides, we don't have enough lettuce for salads." Senshi stroke his beard. "I know, we'll make curry with the bicorn's meat. Laios, Izuku, help me harvest the meat."

Izuku pulled out a knife as Laios used his sword, but as soon as he got close, the leg of the bicorn swung at Izuku's head. He dropped down, avoiding the attack, but his helmet was knocked off.

Itsutsumi took the knife before punging it into the bicorn's head.

"I thought you said it was dead!" Itsutsumi snapped at Senshi. "That thing almost took Izuku's head off!"

"That's odd, it is dead with the wound on it's neck." Laios pointed out.

"Well, clearly it wasn't." Itsutsumi snapped.

"Some creatures tend to have left over motor functions based on their nature." Laios explained. "Maybe it saw Izuku as it's preferred type of prey and tried to kill him with one blow. You should stay back to avoid any other attacks."

"Laios, the bicorn is dead now," Izuku said. "I'm sure it's fine-!" Izuku stepped back as the bicorn corpse almost kicked his head once more.

Izuku handed Laios his knife as he sat back, wondering why the monster tried to kill him so badly even beyond death.

"Start by cutting the meat into pieces. Then you roll them into a ball." Senshi rolled the meat into a ball. "Add some chopped onions and herbs for added flavor. Next up, boil water with spices, tomatoes and some garlic for flavor. Drop the meatballs in and let them cook."

"So, why was that bicorn after Izuku so much?" Marcille asked.

"I heard a legend that bicorns only attack virtuose men to devour their flesh." Laios explained. "It must've seen Izuku as extremely pure and went after him above all other men in the party."

"Um, not sure if I should take that as a compliment," Izuku muttered. "Are there any other monsters like that?"

"Well, there's succubi too, I suppose." Laios thought out loud.

"You stay right behind us, you hear!" Itsutsumi and Marcille both screamed at once.

Chilchuck sighed at the ridiculousness he watched.

Ben 10

Izuku ran towards a burning building. He could see the flames and the smoke from blocks away and the fire trucks were on their way, but they'd be too late. There had been warnings that a serial arsonist was around and that any signs of fire or gas leaking should be reported. Izuku skidded to a halt as the building came into view, it was a tall apartment building. And people were inside. He heard the firefighters and their trucks coming closer but there were people calling for help at that moment. It was time to be a hero.

Izuku looked at the alien watch on his left wrist. Activating the dial, the silhouettes of the different aliens within it popped up. His first instinct was to go for his water user to put out the flames in the building, but with the fire fighters dogging his steps, he needed speed. Spinning the dial, he quickly found the velociraptor-shaped silhouette he was looking for. His fastest land alien was his best option.

"Let's go Plus Ultra! Hero Time!" Izuku slammed down on the dial.

His body was engulfed by a bright green light. The watch fused with his body, shifting and altering his body to transform into the new form he was going for. His body became denser, stronger, growing larger with a bone structure that rivaled the strongest steel. The face gained an animalistic look, with large fangs, sharp eyes and orange fur sprouting all over its body as a mighty roar echoed in the void. Two long claws sprouted from his hands as a black and green armless leotard, black pants, and green boots took the place of his clothes with a green hourglass symbol on his chest.

"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING OMNITRIX! THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR RATH, BUT IT IS TIME TO GO BE HERO!" Rath rushed into the burning building, jumping over the smoke and the burning rubble.

Rath slashed the debris, breaking down the door of one of the apartments.

"Go, now!" Rath pointed to the family as they fled.

He jumped on to the next floor, breaking down doors and helping people out of the burning building. The strength and agility of Rath's body was great for moving, but not at the speed he'd hoped. His sense of smell and vision were impaired by the smoke and the lack of proper oxygen. At least people were getting out. Everything was good until he came upon the last floor. Rath punched the door down, revealing four kids hiding under a table.
"Hey! It's okay!" He roared as he approached them. But the kids huddled closer as they saw him.

He was about to speak when he heard the roof weakening. Looking up, he was greeted with a large chunk of the ceiling collapsing in a fire mess. Not thinking it twice, he picked up the four kids. His strong legs and arms broke through the window, landing.

"Don't worry, Rath is here!"

RWBY

The ruined pagoda looked like they had seen better days in several lifetimes, nothing too crazy when you consider that it had been empty for around 200 years. Overgrowth had taken over the old stone ruins, coating the exterior with a thick layer of plants and trees that made it invisible to anyone that had no idea it was there. The only bit that had yet to be covered by thick leaves was a small golden spike that barely topped the trees. It still held some glimmer of shine after two centuries since the monks that took care of it had vanished.

"This is the place. The relic should be here." Izuku looked over his journal. "The doors are locked and covered by thick foliage, we're gonna have to find another way in."

"You know I could just knock on the door and knock it down, my cute widdle wabbit~." Yang wrapped her arm around Izuku's shoulders, pressing herself against his body. "Just say the word and me and my girls will open the gates for you and roll up the red carpet."

"Um, Yang, there might be a slight chance that the whole pagoda will come down crumbling under us if you do that." Izuku blushed as Yang pressed herself tighter. "These ruins have lots of windows from where we can climb inside." Izuku pulled out a pair of binoculars.

His eyes looked over the building. Most of the windows were covered by the foliage and made it hard to look inside but almost halfway to the top of the pagoda he spotted something: A window that had only been partially covered.

"There," Izuku said. "On the fifth floor."

"Show me." Yang pressed her face against his own to look into the binoculars. "Yeah, that looks like a height we could climb up, right babe?" She rubbed herself against Izuku's cheek much to his annoyance.

"Yang, why do you keep doing this stuff?" Izuku blushed as he cursed his luck. "I'm not a pet, you know that."

"I do, but counterpoint, you're so cute when you blush that I can't help myself. You're also soft and adorable and–I know you don't like being told this but–you are quite the catch." Yang listed off. "Once this job is done, we'll celebrate at my favorite bar and I can tell you all about thos qualities of yours."

Izuku tried not to blush too much. As much as he liked Yang singing his praises, sometimes it felt like she was praising him too much. He had to at least do his part of the job and get the relic for the guild. It wasn't easy being a ranger, but it was worth it if he got to study magic and the ruins of the past kingdoms.

His ears twitched, turning around to see red eyes poking out of the darkness.

"It seems the relic has gotten some attention." Izuku drew out his staff.

"I'm getting fired up!" Yang flared against the Grimm.

Star Wars Visions

Izuku lifted his wooden sword, blocking Lop's own attack. His feet dug against the ground while they sparred in the moonlight. He looked into her bright blue eyes as she gave him a cute smirk behind her sword. She jumped back easily using her stronger rabbit legs before charging at him with a swing of her blade. Parrying the attack, Izuku dodged to the left while holding up his stance. He couldn't help but smirk as they clashed over and over with them matching each other at every blow.

"Someone's been practicing," Izuku said.

"It helps that you and I have been doing this for years, Izuku." Lop jumped up in the air, bringing down her sword on him.

"Good to know!" Izuku blocked the attack, parrying her to the ground. "But I still have a few more tricks!" Izuku lowered his stance, spinning with a kick under Lop's legs.

She fell on her back only to see Izuku bringing down his sword on her. Her sword moved to block but Izuku sent it flying away with a swift strike. She closed her eyes expecting the blow, only for it to never come. Lop hesitantly opened her eyes looking at Izuku's worried face.

"Are you alright?" Izuku offered his hand. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me."

"I'm okay, thank you for sparring with me, Izuku." Lop took Izuku's hand, blushing under her fur at his brief fierce face.

"Well done, both of you."

Izuku and Lop turned to see Boss Yasuburo watching their match with his one good eye. They quickly kneeled before their master and father. They didn't know when he'd come upon their sparring matches, but they could expect him to give them some pointers or a scolding for their performance.

"Master Yasaburo, we didn't know you were here." Izuku bowed.

"Father, I apologize for losing." Lop bowed.

"I'd prefer that you lost in a sparring match than in real life. Your strength is clear, wild and free. You'll need to control yourself and not think of these sessions as a game, Lop." Yasabura looked to his daughter before turning to Izuku. "Izuku, you're too rigid and afraid of fighting seriously. I can't tell if it's because you didn't want to hurt my daughter or because you don't want to let out your Mandalorian self."
Izuku winced.

"But that part of you is as much you as this one. Find your balance and only then will you be a warrior worthy of your ancestors." Boss Yasaburo sighed. "Until then, I entrust you both will do what's best for this family and this planet."

Izuku and Lop looked at each other before looking at Boss Yasaburo.

"Thank you for your wise words, father. Izuku and I will be sure to take heed of them ad become better." Lop stood up with Izuku by her side. "And if one slacks off, the other will help them."

"Keep talking like that and I'll start thinking you're married."

"What?!"

Cleopatra in Space

"What were you thinking?!" Izuku ducked under blaster fire as he and his partner ran through the streets.

"I thought, 'hey that guy is cheating, I'll knock out his teeth and make him regret pulling a fast one one us'!" Cleo fired her blaster back at the assassin drones. "Besides, how many people do you think he swindled like he tried to do us? I did them a favor by exposing him!"

Izuku pulled Cleo out of the way of a red bolt before taking a turn to the right. He couldn't argue that Cleo hadn't done the right thing back there, but she could've used a little more tact in doing so. The last thing they needed was word spreading that they were in the streets of the city without protection. Spotting an alley by their side, he pulled her inside as the bots ran past them.

They waited in the alley, holding their breath as the assassins were heard farther and farther away. Their heartbeats were the only sounds that they heard as the sound of the blasters and the bots went further along. Letting out a sigh our relief, they looked at each other finally noticing how close they were to each other. The alley was surprisingly much narrower than they had thought of on first glance and now they were only an inch and a half from touching each other. Their breaths mingled and mixed by how close they were and that made them blush deeply.

"I, um, I'm just gonna," Izuku tried to move to give Cleo space.

"No, no, you're fine where you are," Cleo moved her hair, fixing her golden ibys crown. "We should probably head back to PYRAMID before anyone notices we left without supervision. Unless you wanna spend more time out on the town?"

Izuku blushed as Cleo unintentionally or intentionally pressed her chest against his. He was no fool, Cleo had feelings for him and would take any excuse to get closer to him. Meanwhile, he felt that he was responsible for her as her first friend and he wouldn't lie and say he didn't feel anything as well. But there were things that took priority over the attractive princess before him. Even the red dot on her forehead was-wait…

"Get down!" Izuku pulled Cleo down to the floor, narrowly missing the laser bolt to her head.

They looked up to see large white robots with bright red eyes and a black armor cladded woman with a crossbow aiming it at them.

"You fools, I said, stunt not kill!" She snapped.

"Go, go!" Izuku and Cleo ran down the alley as the new robots and the assassin chased after them.

"Gotta say, Octavian is really pushing his efforts to catch us!" Cleo commented.

"I think they are more after you than me, but let's get out of here first!" Izuku pulled out a disk from his coat.

"A hoverboard, yes!" Cleo and Izuku jumped out, hopping on the hoverboard, fleeing.

"Midoriya!"

"Deku!"

Izuku shot out of the machine, taking in a deep breath from all that he had experienced. His body felt like he'd been running three marathons while being chased by an angry mob with pitchforks and torches. Everything around him was a blurr and voices of the other worlds he'd seen and lived through. Parts of his mind still felt the different worlds he'd been on, the warmth, the cold, the battles, the chases, the transformations. It was all very intense. He held his chest trying to calm himself down, focusing on the voices calling to him.

His vision returned to him as he recognized where he was. Blinking slightly, his eyes adapted to the world he was in. It was Mei's lab and Ochaco and Iida were looking over him with worry. Tracing the floor and everything he could touch to make sure it was real, he made sure that he was no longer on that machine.

"Midoriya, talk to us!" Iida said. "Are you alright?!"

"How many fingers am I holding?" Ochaco held up five fingers.

"I'm back. I'm really back." Izuku sighed in relief. "God, it all felt so real. What happened?" They slowly helped him up.

"You started convulsing and started talking like a mad man, snapping and roaring at times." Iida explained as they made sure Izuku found his footing.

"You even started talking Italian at one point. Didn't know you could do that," Ochaco touched his forehead to make sure he was alright. "You also called out different names and places that we didn't understand one bit. Can you tell us what happened?"

"I-I-I'm not sure. I was me, but then I was someone else, and then I was me again," Izuku said, holding his head. "I think I was in space."

Mei rushed in with a defibrillator in her hands.

"Oh, you're okay, Midoriya." Mei tossed the machine away. "I was so worried. So, what did you see? Did you see other timelines and/or dimensions? What were they like? Was there something interesting about them? Would you run it again?" Mei bombarded Izuku with questions that filled his mind.

"Hang on! You can't bombard him with questions like that after your machine almost fried his brain!" Iida made his karate chop motion. "You need to give him a moment to collect himself!"

Izuku's mind rushed, remembering each different world like he'd been born there. The likes, dislikes, forks on the road and choices he'd taken and consequences he'd suffered were all his own as well as theirs. In a way, their lives were his life and he'd lived it with them. And he missed them.

"It was… one adventure after the other… They, the other Izuku's had their own relationships and lives but I can remember some of them." Izuku held his head. "Me finding Cleo, me becoming Boss Yasaburo's retainer, the Omnitrix, the dungeon's legend, Marco setting off to fight, training to fight Grimm, chasing Carmen, fighting ghosts… All parts of different lives. I can't help but wish them luck."

"Care to elaborate on those comments, Midoriya." Mei pulled out a recording device. "I gotta know where to go next with my babies here!"
