Unaware of the plan set in motion by their evil partner Mumm-Ra, back in the Mutant's old Headquarters of Castle Plunn-Darr, Blight, Duke Nukem and Sly Sludge were getting ready to launch their attack. As the trio was about to put their plan against the Thundercat's home in action, the Warbot suddenly stopped dead in it's tracks, within only a few meters from the bridge.
"What gives Doc?" Sludge started to say while watching the live feed from the Warbot's main camera. "Why did that thing just stop?"
"I have no idea you fool, but I am going to find out." Blight replied as she started to turn her attention towards the main computer screen. "MEL…MEL! ANSWER ME!" Blight shouted at the computer.
"Maybe that computerized dingbat of yours has finally blown a fuse." Nukem replied with a sadistic grin on his yellow face.
"That would be highly doubtful my radioactive dolt." A voice stated from behind the Eco-Villains.
As all three of the Eco-Villains turned around towards the main computer, they all started to see a greenish face starting to materialize right on the screen.
"Why you overgrown excuse for a video game I outta-" Nukem started to say
"QUITE NUKEM!" Blight yelled in response. "Mel, sweetly, why did the Warbot stop so close to the Thundercats's home?" Blight asked her computerized friend in a much more calmer tone.
"Yea bit brain, why did you stop the machine before the fun started?" Sludge injected while showing a dissatisfied look on his face. "I thought that we were gonna watch you destroy them once and for all so we could pollute back home. Why the delay?"
"I agree with Sludge for once. Why did you stop the machine?" Nukem added.
"If you all will allow me to show you why, then you will find out." MEL stated as he started to show images from both inside and outside the Cat's Lair.
As the image of Dr. Blight's computerized helper started to disappear from the monitor, the images from inside the Cat's lair as well as the outside started to appear.
As the trio of Eco-Villains started to watch what was happening on the main screen, their attitudes started to change from happiness evil to that of major concern. As they all continued to watch, they also started to see the two groups of Third Earth aliens enter the Lair as well as Linka starting to work inside the Lair's main control room.
"Great, now Blondie is back on her feet." Nukem stated with a most foul tone.
"Yea, she'll no doubt find that you are inside the Thundercat's systems, you micro-knucklehead." Sludge added.
"On the contrary my intelligent lacked friends." The computerized head started to say with much honesty and a bit of sarcasm in it's tone. " My virus is designed to avoid detection at any costs. I designed it that way to be the ultimate infiltrator. There's no way that Blondie there can detect it."
"You forget bit-brain, that Blondie is an expert at computer software. It won't take her long to find a way of locating and stopping the virus." Sludge injected in his most sarcastic tone.
"QUIET ALL OF YOU!" Blight yelled in order to get everyone's attention. "If my sweetie pie MEL states that the virus can't be detected then Blondie won't be able to find it."
"Besides, if we start our attack right now, the power drain will start to affect the Thundercat's systems and hinder any search parameters that the Eco-Geek in running right now." MEL added with a sadistic grin on his computerized face as his image started to return to the main screen.
"Then what are you waiting for you ridiculous excuse for a computer program." Sludge started to say in his most determined and nasty tone. "Get that hunk of junk moving and destroy those Thundercats."
"My dear Sludge, apparently you were never given the brains in your family." MEL retorted with a slight grin on it's computerized face. "We have to do this very carefully otherwise everything that I have calculated will be ruined. Everything most go according to plan."
"THAT DOES IT!" Nukem started to yell as he started to make a fist with his right yellow bricked hand. "I THINK YOU NEED A LITTLE PERSUASION TO GET THINGS MOVING!" He yelled as he started to get more angry by the second.
"THAT'S ENOUGH FROM ALL OF YOU!" Blight yelled once again to get everyone's attention. "We are going to do this the way my dearest MEL has calculated. Don't forget, if we do destroy the Thundercats and the Planeteers on this world, then Mumm-Ra will send us back home to pollute with no one to stop us." She stated in a much more calmer and lowered tone.
"Then what are we waiting for Blight, let the destruction begin." Sludge stated with a grin of pure evil on his face.
"You heard him MEL sweetie." Blight started to say in her most romantic tone to her computerized fiend. "Let the attack commence."
"At once my dearest doctor." MEL stated as the image of the green computerized face started to disappear, only to be replaced by the images from the Warbot's main camera.
As soon as Dr. Blight gave the order, the trio of Eco-Villains started to watch all of the fun that was about to happen as the Warbot started it's attack on the Thundercat's home.
Unaware of the plans being set in motion by both Mumm-Ra and by the Eco-Villains, Wheeler has just reach the outskirts of the forest heading towards the beach, while still on the back of the Unicorn. As they continued to head further out of the forest they were still being chased by Hammerhand and his crew of Berserkers. As the duo exited the forest and hit the beach, Wheeler started to see two boats in the ocean. One of the boats looks like a life boat used to carry people on and off the lager ships for Cruise Lines. The other ship was further out to see, but was visible enough that Wheeler remembered that it was the same ship that had Gi onboard when he and Linka rescued her with the Thundercats help. As they both hit the center of the beach, Wheeler started to pull back the white mane in order to slow down the Unicorn.
"Whoa there friend." Wheeler stated while trying to slow down his steed. "I have a score to settle with those Berserkers for what they did to Gi from before." He added as the Unicorn came to a complete stop.
As the Unicorn come to a stop, the Berserkers as well as Hammerhand started to emerge from the forest still on the Planeteer's trail.
"Captain, captain, there he is." Ram-Bam stated while pointing at Wheeler while he was getting off the Unicorn.
"Argh, what is that whelp doing." Hammerhand stated as the rest of his Berserkers was wondering the same thing. "He knows that there is nothing that he can do against us."
"Maybe he is more stupid then we think." Cruncher added with a smile across his face.
"Let's take him now before he can run from us again." Top-Spinner added.
"Argh me hardies, but lets us be careful about this." Hammerhand stated while trying to figure out the Planeteer's next move. "Move in and capture the whelp."
"AYE AYE CAPTAIN!" The Berserkers replied as they all followed Hammerhand towards Wheeler.
As the Berserkers started to approach Wheeler, he was just finishing getting off of the Unicorn's back while at the same time started to notice the company heading his way.
"Well now, it took you bozos long enough to get here." Wheeler stated as the Berserkers and their Captain came into range.
"And what do ye think you are going to do now whelp?" Hammerhand asked while having a sadistic smile across his face.
"I am going to give you one chance to get back on your boat and get outta here in once piece."
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Hammerhand yelled while thinking that the Planeteer has lost his mind. "You must be crazy to think that me and my Berserkers are just gonna leave without our prize. And that prize is you, BOY!"
"I'm warning you to leave or you will be sorry." Wheeler stated while raising his Planeteer ring at Hammerhand.
"And what do ye think you are going to do with that?" Hammerhand replied while look at Wheeler's strange pose. "Blind us with the sun? The sun is no where high enough to help you." He added before he took in a breath and gave his next command. "BERSERKERS…. GET HIM!"
As the Berserkers started to head towards Wheeler, they all started to hear the boy shout a word.
"FIRE!" Wheeler shouted as a red beam came out of his ring and headed towards the Berserkers and Hammerhand.
As soon as Wheeler shouted his command, the ring on his right hand started to emit a red beam that started to head towards the Berserkers in a straight line. As the beam came into view, the Berserkers all got out of the way as the beam continued to head towards their leader.
"CAPTAIN! LOOK OUT!" Crunsher stated as the beam started to impact their leader's metal arm and hand.
As the beam from Wheeler's Planeteer ring started to strike Hammerhand's metal arm and hand all of the Berserkers started to see the red beam start to turn Hammerhand's arm a slightly different color. As the color started to change again, the Berserkers leader started to yell in some sort of pain.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Hammerhand started to yell while his hand was in much pain. "MY HAND! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HAND!?" Hammerhand yelled as the Berserkers started to see the damage done to their leader's metal hand and arm.
As everyone started to look on, the beam from Wheeler's ring finally started to disappeared while showing the damage done to Hammerhand. As the Berserkers looked on, they saw that there was multiple burn marks on both the shoulder and the base of the metal arm. But the most damage was done to the metal fist itself, the metal was almost completely melted and fused in Hammerhand's metal arm as well as some small drops of molten metal coming off from the metal fist.
"HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO MY FIST!" Hammerhand started to yell as his anger continued to grow with each second of pain. "I AM GOING TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR THIS WELPH!"
"Sorry, I'll have to give you an I.O.U. for now." Wheeler replied as he lowered his ring down in order to nudge the Unicorn away. "Now are you gonna leave in peace or do you want more of the same."
"Cap…Captain….What are your orders? You know we might not have a chance against that type of magic?" Ram-Bamm stated with a little fear in his tone.
"He's right Captain." Cruncher started to add. "Mumm-Ra never told us that he could use magic."
"We should get out of here right away." Top-Spinner added as well.
"ARE YOU BERSERKERS OR ARE YOU COWARDS?! "Hammerhand yelled as the Unicorn started to dash away from Wheeler. "IF YOU DON'T GET ME THAT BOY, THEN WE ARE GONNA GET IT FROM MUMM-RA, AND I'D RATHER NOT FEEL HIS WRATH. NOW GET THE BOY, SURROUND HIM IF YOU MUST, BUT GET THAT WHELP!" Hammerhand yelled as the Berserkers started to try and surround Wheeler.
"RIGHT AWAY CAPTAIN!" The Berserkers replied as the all started to head towards Wheeler.
As the Berserkers all started to head towards the Fire Planeteer, Wheeler continued to shout his fire command in order to try and stop them without hurting any of them. As the fight continued, all three of the Berserkers started to surround Wheeler in a triangle pattern cutting off any avenue of escape for the Planeteer. As the fight continued to move on, the Fire Planeteer was momentarily distracted by what he was seeing in the distance.
As he started to look up at the forest, Wheeler started to see some kind of black smoke coming from the location of the Cat's Lair. At that moment, Cruncher was able to gain the upper hand and grasped Wheeler's chest and arms, while forcing the Planeteer's fire ring facing down.
"Now what are you going to do whelp." Cruncher boasted while starting to tighten his grip.
"I'm telling you right now, you ridiculous excuse for a pirate, let me go or you will be sorry." Wheeler replied while at the same time trying to remain conscious.
"I don't think so." Cruncher replied while continuing to tighten his grip. "Mumm-Ra want's you alive, but he didn't say that you had to be awake."
"DO IT CRUNCHER!" Hammerhand started to shout while watching everything. "STOP THIS NUISANCE SO THAT WE CAN GET PAID!"
"You…Are…Really….Testing….My….Patience…" Wheeler stated while feeling himself getting weaker.
"Now to finish you off." Cruncher stated until something started to happen to his prisoner.
As Cruncher was about to finish off the Fire Planeteer, a red beam started to shoot out from the distance and the symbol of the Thundercats started to appear with a giant roar. As the roar continued to be heard by everyone on the beach, Wheeler's eyes as well as the symbol on his Thundercat/Planeteer clothing started to glow.
As Wheeler continued to look at the symbol, he started to get his strength back as well as starting to feel a new power starting to emerge. As he regained his composure, Wheeler started to aim his ring down towards Cruncher's boots.
"Hey Cruncher." Wheeler started to say.
"What do you want whelp, and why aren't you knocked out. Maybe I have to squeeze you a little harder." Cruncher replied as he tried to tighten his grip once again.
"Are your boots heat resistant?"
"Why do you want to know that for?
"FIRE!" Wheeler shouted as he aimed his ring right at the tip of Cruncher's boots.
As the red beam started to strike Cruncher's right boot, smoke started to appear from the boot, and headed straight towards the Berserker's nose.
"Do you smell something strange?" Cruncher asked out loud before realizing that it was his boot on fire.
Within moments of realizing that his foot was about to be burned, Cruncher released his prisoner and started to shove his boot into the sand while trying to put it out.
"Why you." Cruncher stated while putting out the fire on his boot.
"If you don't want more , then you should just back off before I-" Wheeler started to state before he started to feel strange.
As the Fire Planeteer was making his statement, the Thundercat Symbol in the sky started to get dimmer and dimmer causing the symbol on the Planeteers' clothing to grow dimmer as well.
"What…Is…Going…On…Here…" Wheeler stated while starting to feel much weaker than before. "I…Can't…Let…These…Berserkers…Win." He added while starting to feel angry. "I…HAVE …TO…STOP…THEM…I…NEED…TO…GET…BACK..TO LINKA!" He yelled as something strange started to happen to his ring.
As Wheeler's anger continued to grow, the energy of the Thundercats' Eye Of Thundera, which was used to energize the rings has started a transformation from within. As his determination and will power continued to grow, the symbol of fire which is shown on his ring has started to transform into another form.
As the ring continued to glow red and transform, the Berserkers as well as Hammerhand started to wonder what was happening to their quarry.
"Captain, your orders?" Top-Spinner asked while seeing what was happening.
"I HAVE ONLY ONE ORDER TO GIVE! GET HIM!" Hammerhand yelled.
"But Captain, what about my boot?" Cruncher stated as he rejoined the Berserkers.
After Cruncher's remark, Hammerhand took his non melted hand and grabbed part of the pirate's shirt. "If you don't capture that boy, then I am going to feed the whole lot of you to the bottom of the sea." He stated as he released Cruncher's shirt. "NOW GET HIM!"
"AYE CAPTAIN!" The Berserkers shouted as they all started to approach Wheeler once again.
"You guys sure don't know when to quit." Wheeler stated as he started to regain him composure. "This is your last chance to get outta here."
"GET HIM RIGHT NOW!" Hammerhand shouted as the Berserkers approached the Planeteer.
As the Berserkers approached Wheeler, the Fire Planeteer raised up his empowered ring and started to shout out a brand new command.
"THUNDER FIRE STRIKE!"
After this new command was issued, his ring started to produce a red beam that then started to transform into a Jaguar type cat, but completely made of pure fire.
As the cat finished to materialize, all of the Berserkers started to freeze in their tracks as another beam started to emerge into the sky far from the beach. This beam was coming from the direction of the Cat's lair and it's color was pure white. As the beam of energy cut through the blue sky, Wheeler's ring started to flash as if a dormant power was finally being restored.
"LINKA!" Wheeler shouted as he started to see the beam of white energy start to disappear from the sky. "HANG ON BABE, I'M COMING BACK TO YOU AND THE OTHERS!"
"FIRST YOU HAVE TO GET PAST ME AND MY BERSERKERS WHELP!" Hammerhand shouted back while hearing Wheeler's screams.
"I have had just enough of you and your Berserkers Hammerhand." Wheeler stated as he started to command the flame cat with his mind.
As Wheeler continued to use his mind the fire cat started to lunge at all of the Berserkers, causing the group to fall back behind their captain. As the cat continued to walk slowly toward the pirates, each step started to show more fear in the Berserkers while their Captain tried not to show any.
"Ca…Ca…Captain…..We should get outta here right away before we are all burned by this cat." Ram-Bam stated while still being very afraid of the fire cat.
"I agree with Ram-Bam." Cruncher started to add. "We need to leave and we need to leave right now."
"Are ye all cowards, or are ye Berserkers.?" Hammerhand stated while seeing the fear on his Berserkers faces.
"If we don't get outta here in the next few seconds, then we are gonna be burnt Berserkers." Top-Spinner added with much fear in his tone.
"Then let's head back to the ship, right now." Ram-Bam stated as he started to leave their captain and run towards the rowboat.
"Wait for me." Cruncher stated while following Ram-Bam.
"Not without me you don't." Top-Spinner added while following the other Berserkers.
"GET BACK HERE YOU DESERTERS.! Hammerhand yelled in anger while his crew was running back towards the row boat.
"Last chance to leave in one piece." Wheeler stated as the fire cat was only inches away from Hammerhand.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS WHELP!" Hammerhand yelled as he started to rejoin his crew by the row boat.
"THE NAME IS WHEELER YOU PIRATE!" Wheeler started to yell back. "AND I HOPE TO NEVER RUN INTO YOU EVER AGAIN!" He finished as the fire cat started to return to his ring. "What was that all about, and how did I know how to summon that cat.?" He wondered for a moment. "I'll worry about that later, right now I have to head back towards the others right away." He finished as he started to run back towards the forest.
As the Fire Planeteer approached the edge of the forest, the Unicorn who befriended the Planeteer and gave him it's ring stood right in front of him as if it was waiting for him all this time. As Wheeler approached the Unicorn, the head and body started to lower so that Wheeler could ride him.
"Are you telling me that you will give me a lift back to the lair?" Wheeler asked as the Unicorn nodded it's graceful head in response. "Then let's get going." Wheeler added as he climbed onto the Unicorn's back and held on to the beast's beautiful Mane of hair. "Hang on everyone, I'm on my way." He stated as he and the Unicorn started to run in the direction of the lair while keeping hope that they will not be too late.
As Wheeler was about to deal with the Berserkers, the situation at the Cat's Lair was starting to become more serious. Within moments of the Warbot approaching the Lair while still cloaked, the power drain within the Lair started to increase very quickly.
"Panthro, I think we are starting to have a problem here." Tygra stated while looking at the energy indicator.
"What's wrong Tygra?" Panthro asked with some concern in his tone.
"According to this energy display, the Lair is down to 80% power."
"That's impossible." Panthro replied with surprise in his tone. "We just finished re-supplying the Thundrillium power core not two hours ago. It should still be at 100%."
"Well according to this, the energy is dropping for some reason." Tygra stated as the lights inside the control room started to flicker.
"Tygra, what's happening?" Lion-O asked with some concern for his fellow Thundercats and their new guests.
"Something is draining our Thundrillium power supply Lion-O." Tygra replied while still confused.
"Anything on your end Linka?"
"Da. I've managed to re-write some of your system sub-routines so that we may be able to see what is really happening outside the lair." Linka replied as she started to press a few buttons at her station.
"How are you feeling Linka?" Bengali asked while Gi was still at her side.
"I'm starting to feel a little stronger, Bengalli. Thanks for asking."
"And Wheeler?" Gi asked hoping that the situation was changed.
"Sorry Gi." Linka started to reply. "I still don't have any romantic feeling for that Yankee, even through I can barely tolerate his actions sometimes." She finished as Gi started to laugh a little.
"What is so funny Gi?" Cheetara asked as she started to hear Gi laugh.
"I'm sorry Cheetara, it's just what Linka said just now is how she first reacted to Wheeler when we were all chosen for the first time."
"Gi, this isn't the time to reminisce about old times." Gaia stated while watching everything. "We have more important things to worry about."
"I know Gaia, but I want to help Wheeler and Linka. Wheeler has always been a hot head and maybe even a bit brash, but his heart was always in the right place."
"On that we can all agree." Kwami started to say. "Wheeler sure has made our lives more interesting, even though he makes bad decisions from time to time."
"But the one decision that we can all agree on is his love for Linka. That will always come first." Ma-Ti added as the com-link started to go off.
"I'll go check it out." Gi stated as Cheetara and Bengali nodded their heads.
As Gi walked away from Linka to answer the com-link, a voice started to come from the speaker.
"Thundercats, this is Wilykat. I'm down here in the conference room with Snarf, Wilykit, two Wollows and two Bulkins. They would like to speak to Lion-O and the Planeteers right away." Wilykat stated in the intercom.
"Wilykat, this is Gi. I'll relay the message to Lion-O right away."
"Thanks Gi."
After a moment, Lion-O and Cheetara walked over to Gi to see what the message was about.
"Gi, who was on the intercom?" Lion-O asked with some wonder in his tone."
"It was Wilykat." Gi replied
"What did Wilykat say Gi?" Cheetara asked.
"Wilykay just told me that he, Snarf and Wilykit are entertaining two Wollos and two Bulkins that have just arrived at the Lair. They are keeping them in the conference room waiting for you and the Planeteers."
"Panthro, Tygra, Lynx-O, Linka, any luck with our systems and figuring out what is causing the power drain? Lion-O asked while shifting his gaze to the front of the control room.
"Not yet I'm afraid." Tygra started to say in his most honest tone. "I'm getting completely baffled by this problem."
"Well I may have something that might help speed things along." Linka stated while pushing a few more buttons at her station.
"What to you have my dear?" Lynx-O asked while starting to feel a bit curious.
"I'm still trying to figure out what is happening to your systems, but maybe this might point us in the right direction." She added as she started to put up the last transmission recorded by the Lair's systems.
As Linka continued to punch some buttons at her station, the transmission she has started to place on the main screen was the last communication that Lynx-O had with Snarfer before the Tower of Omens was destroyed.
"I don't see why this is of any importance Linka." Tygra stated while trying not to be rude. "We already know that the tower was destroyed and that we never knew about it."
"Plus Snarfer stated that I was going to send help but I was never told anything." Lynx-O added
"Da, but watch what happens when I try to re-construct the image of Snarfer after Lynx-O said that the transmission was lost for a moment." Linka replied as she started to run a re-construction algorithm program on the image of Snarfer.
As everyone started to watch, the image of Snarfer, on the main screen started to de-materialize until it was only a mixture of small digitized pixels on the screen. Then the pixels started to re-organize themselves until a new face and different background started to appear in it's place.
"That's not Snarfer!" Panthro shouted as the image started to become more clear.
"You're right Panthro, it isn't Snarfer." Tygra stated while observing the pixels finishing up. "If that wasn't Snarfer, then who is it?"
"I have no idea." Pumyra stated while looking as well.
"I'm afraid we know who that is Thundercats." Ma-Ti stated while looking at the green face image on the main screen.
"That is MEL. Dr. Blight's computerized helper and an expert in system hacking." Kwami stated.
"If that is true, then how did that computerized helper get into our systems?" Lion-O asked with some concern.
"I think that I might be partly responsible for all of this my friends." Lynx-O stated with some regret in his tone.
"What do you mean by that Lynx-O?" Pumyra asked as the lights started to get much lower and some of the lair's systems started to shutdown.
"I'm afraid that you will have to tell us all later my friend." Lion-O replied after seeing what was happening at that moment.
"VOWELSHOMOY!" Linka shouted as her station went dead.
"What happened Linka?" Gi asked after hearing Linka start to shout Russian.
"My station just went dead and just as I was starting to make some headway on getting the main display screen working again."
"Maybe you did enough already Linka." Panthro stated as he started to punch a few buttons on the main control console. "I was able to link your station to the main system before you lost power. I believe I can bring up your new sub-routines right now." Panthro finished as the view screen started to come alive with an image of the front of the Cat's lair.
"That's great Panthro, but we still need to figure out what is causing the power drain." Lion-O stated.
"Panthro, please run a multi-phase scan outside the Lair and adjust the setting through all available visual spectrums. That might help out in some way." Linka stated with a little curiosity in her tone.
"Good thinking Linka." Tygra started to say. "That way if anything is hidden from our view, then this might reveal it."
"Exactly."
"Nice thinking Linka." Kwami stated as Gi, Kwami, Gaia and Ma-ti joined Linka at her station.
"I never thought that I would admit this, but watching some of those shows that Wheeler likes to watch sure does come in handy. Just don't tell him that I said so. If you do then I will deny it."
"Our lips are sealed Linka." Ma-Ti stated as the Planeteers started to giggle a little.
As the Planeteers started to laugh a little over Ma-Ti's joke, the main view screen started to shift into different points of the visual spectrum. One spectrum started to show the outside of the lair in night view, another in thermal, then the view screen started to shift into radiation view.
As the radiation view started to become active, an image of the Warbot's outline started to appear but in an orange type color.
"PANTHRO!" Tygra shouted as they all started to see the image appear on the screen.
"I see it Tygra." Panthro replied in almost shock. "How were they able to hide that thing from our systems so good?"
"We can worry about that later." Lion-O started to say. "Right now it is at our front door." Lion-O finished as the image of the Warbot approached the two main claws of the Cat's Lair.
"Quickly Tygra, try and scan for it's weakness." Panthro stated knowing full well that the front right leg of the machine is it's only vulnerable spot.
"On it Panthro." Tygra replied as he tried to launch a scan from another station that hasn't lost power.
"Kwami, Gi, Pumyra, Nadya, please go to the main laser cannons inside the head and charge them right away. We need to try and force it back." Lion-O stated while starting to notice a strange change in both Pumyra and Cheetara.
"Lion-O I…" Cheetara started to say while feeling weak. "I think I need to sit down for a moment." She finished as she started to fall to the ground.
"CHEETARA!" Lion-O yelled as he started to catch Cheetara in his arms.
"Lion-O, let me have a look at her." Bengali started to say in his most concerned tone as he pointed to Leia to assist him.
As Bengali and Leia started to look at Cheetara, Pumyra, Gi, Kwami and Nayda were on their way to the main laser control room inside the head of the Cat's Lair. While on their way, both Kwami and Gi started to notice something strange happening to Pumyra on route.
"Everything alright Pumyra?" Gi asked in her most concerned tone.
"What do you mean Gi?" Pumyra replied as the group was approaching the door to the laser control room.
"I don't mean to be rude or anything, but are you feeling alright? It looks like you are a little tired all of a sudden."
"I have been feeling a little weak for a while now, but I don't know why." Pumyra stated as they all reached the door. "I haven't felt this weak since what happened to Lynx-O myself and Bengali back at Fire Rock Mountain."
"Fire Rock Mountain?" Kwami asked with wonder. " What is Fire Rock Mountain?"
"Of course I forgot that you've just arrived on our home only a few weeks ago. Fire Rock Mountain has an element that weakens us. It was also on Thundera, but we called it Thundrainium."
"Thundrainium?" Gi asked.
"It makes us almost as weak as new born kittens. Two much exposure would knock us out, but I'm just sure that it is just the excitement that is going on here and being worried about Wheeler."
"I hope you're right about that." Kwami thought as the doors to the laser control room opened.
As the doors to the laser control room opened, the group started to see two massive laser cannons at the edge of each of the Lair's red eye lids. As they continued to look at the weapons, Pumyra and Nayda started to power up the systems from the control panel on the right and left side of each cannon. As the machines started to power up, both Kwami and Gi started to place themselves inside each of the laser's seat as the displays started to come online. As all systems started to activate, Pumyra started to notice something very strange.
"This can't be." Pumyra stated while having a since of disbelief.
"What's wrong Pumyra?" Gi asked as she adjusted herself in the laser cannon seat.
"According to these readings, the laser power is only at 30%."
"That can't be right." Kwami started to say. "When we left the control room the power was at 80%."
"We better find out what is happening." Nayda stated as she started to activate the comm unit to the main control room.
"Nayda to Lion-O, can you hear me?" Nayda spoke into the unit.
"Panthro here Nayda, what's your status?" A voice replied back
"We've got the weapons charging up but the energy reading is only at 30%."
"30%? That's impossible, our readings show the energy level here at 75%."
"Something is way off with the systems, by the way how is Cheetara?"
"Not good. Lion-O is still here with Bengali and Leia while holding Cheetara in his arms. It looks like she is in a deep sleep."
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm feeling a bit tired myself but we have more pressing matters to attend to. I can't auto target the weapons from here so you four will have to aim and fire the weapons manually."
"But how when we can't see it?"
"I'll transmit the readings from here into the weapons. Hurry."
"Alright Panthro." Nayda stated as the reading started to come in from the main computer. "By the way, I don't know if it is possible right now but can you run a scan for Thundrainium readings?"
"Thundrainum?" Panthro stated in a confused tone. "I can scan for it, but why?"
"You just said that Cheetara passed out and was caught in Lion-O's arms and just now Pumyra stated that she was feeling weak too, plus it might explain the energy readings."
"Good point. I'll have Tygra and Linka scan for it right away, but in the meantime, get those lasers fully charged and locked onto the Warbot."
"Right away Panthro." Nayda stated as the comm unit went dead.
As soon as Nayda was done using the comm unit, both herself and Pumyra started to try and get the lasers power supply up to full strength. As they both continued to work on powering up the lasers, they all started to feel the vibrations as the lair was coming under attack.
"What is going on?" Gi asked while still manning one of the laser controls.
"It would seem that the lair is under attack." Pumyra stated as the comm unit started to come alive once again.
"Attention all Thundercats and Planeteers!" Lion-O's voice started to say from the comm unit. "We are under attack. Prepare all defense systems right away."
"Are the lasers ready to fire?" Nayda asked while typing in the coordinates given to them by Panthro in the main control room.
"Ready at this end and the weapons are fully charged, but I don't know for how long." Pumyra started to say with a but of uncertainty in her tone. "We may only get one shot."
"If we can get a lock on what's attacking us, then one shot is all we need." Kwami stated as the target scope started to come online.
"I'm ready over here as well Kwami." Gi stated as her station came online as well. "Let's just hope that Linka and Tygra is able to find out what is happening to these systems before it is too late."
As the small group was having their discussion, the lair started to shake again as small pieces of the roof started to fall to the ground, nearly missing both Nayda and Pumyra.
"Nayda, Pumyra, are you both OK?" Kwami asked while starting to worry for their new friends.
"I'm fine Kwami." Nayda started to say. "It just missed me."
"I'm fine as well." Pumyra started to say. "We've been through worse than this since being Thundercats."
"I think you should tell us about those times later." Gi started to say as her systems started to lock onto the coordinates given to them by Panthro. "Kwami, do you have a lock over there?"
"I do Gi." Kwami replied as his targeting systems also started to lock on to the enemy target.
"I'll let Pathro know." Nayda stated as Pumyra started to join her over by the comm unit. "Laser control to Panthro, come in."
After a moment the comm unit started to come alive.
"Panthro here, go ahead laser control." A voice stated from the unit.
"We have a lock and are ready to fire."
"Go for it, Tygra just ran a scan for Thundrainium and we've detected a large amount outside the lair."
"How is that possible?" Pumyra added.
"I don't know but it is causing all of our systems to loose power. We have to stop it now."
"We're on it Panthro." Nayda stated as Pumyra and herself gave both the Planeteers to OK to fire.
As the Cat's eyes within the Lair's rocky head started to glow, two beams of red energy started to come out heading towards the coordinates given to laser control by Panthro and the others inside the main control room. As the red beams started to get closer, the giant head started to move it's position causing the laser beams to miss their target completely.
"What happened?" Gi asked with wonder. "Why did the head start to move?"
"I'm not certain." Pumyra replied while she and Nayda started to try and reposition the head.
As Pumyra and Nayda tried to move the head back into position, the comm unit once again started to act up with a different voice this time.
"Laser control, this is Tygra." The voice started to say. "What happened up there? How did you miss?"
"It wasn't our fault Tygra." Pumyra replied while trying to move the head back. "The head just started to move on it's own.
"THE HEAD WHAT!?" Tygra replied in somewhat a shocking tone in response to Pumyra's reason.
"You heard me. The head started to move on it's own." Pumyra started to say while feeling a little annoyed. "Nayda and I are trying to move the head back into position."
"Better hurry." Tygra started to say." It looks like the Warbot is about to launch an attack of it's own."
"That maybe more difficult from here Tygra." Nayda responded in her most concerned tone. "It looks like the controls for the head have completely burned out. I can't get them working."
"All right then, you all better get outta there before-"
As Tygra was about to complete his sentence, the entire Lair started to rock while multiple systems started to short out and explode all over the Lair. As the systems continued to explode, the main console inside the laser control started to short out while both Nayda and Pumyra were working on it.
"NAYDA, PUMYRA, GET AWAY FROM THERE!" Kwami yelled while trying to get out of the laser firing chair.
"KWAMI'S RIGHT! THAT CONSOLE IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE!" Gi added as she also got herself out of the chair.
"WE CAN'T!" Pumyra started to yell back. "WE HAVE TO TRY TO CONTAIN THE EXPLOSIONS OR ELSE IT WILL SPREAD TOWARDS THE LASERS!"
No sooner did Pumyra finished her statement, the console started to explode forcing both Nayda and Pumyra into the far wall. As Kwami and Gi watched on, the control console was engulfed in flames while at the same time causing black smoke to envelope inside the room.
":cough: :cough: I can't see anything." Gi tried to say. "The smoke is too much for me and if I use my ring to put out the flames, the added smoke will finished us for good."
"Let me handle that part, just be ready to put out the flames." Kwami stated as he aimed his ring towards the roof of the room. "EARTH!" He shouted.
As Kwami issued his command, greens waves of energy started to come out of his ring and started to impact the roof of the room, while at the same time causing massive pieces to fall down to the floor. As the ring finished doing it's job, the light from the blue sky started to shine into the room completely illuminating the entire place as well as showing GI the location of the fire.
"DO IT GI!" Kwami shouted as Gi started to aim her ring at the console.
"WATER!" Gi shouted as a blue aura started to appear on her ring.
As the blue aura started to appear on Gi's ring, it also started to appear on the fire extinguishers causing all of the compressed liquid to come out. As the water came out of the extinguishers, Gi directed all of the water to hit the control console, completely putting out the fire. As the fire started to suppress, more sparks started to appear on the laser weapons while at the same time another rumbling sound started to come from outside the head.
"Kwami, we have to get Nayda and Pumyra outta here right away." Gi stated as the rumbling started to continue.
"Agreed." Kwami replied as he and Gi approached the two unconscious women on the floor. "I'll help Nayda, you help Pumyra."
"Right." Gi replied with a small smirk on her face.
As the two Planeteers started to help their fallen comrades, the room started to shake a lot more as sounds of some kind of drilling started at appear. As Gi was helping Pumyra by placing her arm over Gi's right shoulder, Kwami was able to scoop up Nayda in his arms and started to carry her out of the room.
As Gi and Kwami exited the laser control room with their packages, the entire room was being torn off from the Cat's Lair from the outside. As the Cat's Head was thrown away from the Lair, both Gi and Kwami started to see the head of the Warbot looking down at them as it's eyes started to glow red.
"Oh no you don't" Gi stated as she started to aim her ring at the machine. "WATER!" She shouted as he blue aura started to appear once again.
As before, Gi's command was able to grab the last of the extinguisher's cold water type foam and aimed it directly onto the eyes of the machine, causing it to be temporality blinded.
"Nice Job Gi." Kwami started to say with pride in his tone. "We'd better regroup with the others back in the main control room and find out what is happening and what we can do to help."
"Right Kwami. By the way, how is Nadya doing in your arms?"
"She is still out cold, but I'll continue to carry her until we get back to the others." Kwami replied with and honest tone. "Why do you want to know Gi?"
"I was just curious about the two of you. That's all." Gi replied while helping Pumyra to the main control room as well.
As Kwami and Gi continued to return to the main control room, the Earth Planeteer started to become lost in thought.
"Wheeler my friend, where are you? We all need you to come back. Why did you have to leave us right now?" Kwami thought as they all reached the doors to the control room.
As Kwami, Nayda, Gi and Pumyra were heading towards the main lasers inside the head of the lair, Lion-O with Cheetara still in his arms was starting to wonder what could have made the fastest of the Thundercats collapse to the floor.
"Anything Bengali?" Lion-O asked while still looking at Cheetara's face.
"One moment Lion-O." Bengali started to say as he also started to scan her with his medical device. "Leia, can you please help me scan her?"
"Sure thing Bengali." Leia replied as she took one of the scanners from Bengali and started to scan Cheetara at the same time Bengali did.
"Panthro, Linka, Lynx-O, Tygra, any luck on identifying what is outside the lair?" Lion-O asked while still holding onto Cheetara.
"Working on it Lion-O." Tygra stated.
"But with all of our systems going crazy loosing power, it is making it a little hard." Panthro added.
"Maybe Lynx-O and I can come up with something to help you out." Linka stated as she went over to Lynx-O's station.
"What do you have in mind my dear." Lynx-O stated as Linka walked over to him.
"What if we could re-route power that hasn't been drained yet and get the view screen online. Then we can see where the attacker is and stop it."
"That is a good idea my friend." Lynx-O stated as he also gestured Linka to take a seat right next to him.
As Lynx-O and Linka started to re-configure the power flow, Leia and Bengali were finishing up their scans as Gaia started to walk over to Lion-O still holding Cheetera in his arms.
"Are you alright Lion-O?" Gaia asked with some concern in her tone.
"I think so Gaia." Lion-O started to say while starting to feel a little weak. "But right now it is Cheetara that I am worried about."
"Well I think that you don't have to worry any more Lion-O." Bengali replied as he and Leia has just finished their scans.
"Is Cheetara alright?"
"From what my instruments can tell, she is simply asleep."
"Asleep? Be she looks like she passed out?"
"I don't know how to explain it to you. But she simply is asleep."
"There has to be a reason." Lion-O stated as the comm unit started to come alive.
"Nayda to Lion-O, can you hear me?" A voice stated from the unit.
"Panthro here Nayda, what's your status?" Panthro replied.

"Right away Panthro." Nayda stated as the comm unit went dead.
"Thundrainium, that has to be it. It is the only thing that could explain all of this." Tygra stated while starting to run the scan.
"I don't mean to change the subject." Linka started to say while trying not to be rude. "But what is Thundrainium?"
"Thundrainium is an element that weakens Thundercats as well as our power supply and our equipment." Panthro replied in his most honest tone.
"Back on Thundera, there was a section of land that was covered in the stuff, but here on Third Earth it is located at Fire Rock Mountain." Tygra added.
"Is that the area we had to avoid when Wheeler and myself joined you in the Thunderstrike?"
"Correct my dear. "Lynx-O stated while still working on the power readings. "The lava and steam from the fire rocks can weaken us even if we are exposed for only a moment, but that doesn't explain-" Lynx-O stated but was cut-off by an alarm inside the control room.
"Tygra, what is going on?" Lion-O started to say with some concern in his tone. " Why are the alarms going off?"
"It looks like Nayda was right to ask us to scan for Thundrainium." Tygra replied.
"Why is that?" Linka asked while also being concerned.
"It appears that there is a large concentration of Thundrainium right outside the lair." Panthro added.
"Well I think that now we may be able to see what is happening outside." Lynx-O started to say while punching some buttons on the main computer station. "Linka and I have got the view screen online." Lynx-O added as the view screen started to show exactly what was happening outside the lair.
As everyone started to watch, the main view screen started to power up, showing the outside of the Lair. After a moment, the modifications to the sensors started to show a strange large object right at the bridge end in the front of the lair. As they continued to watch, the image started to become clear as the object started to become more and more visible. After another brief moment, the Thundercats and their new allies started to see exactly who and what was causing all of their problems.
"VOWELSHOMOY!" Linka shouted after seeing the image of a giant machine appear on the view screen. "What is that thing?"
"That is something that we thought that we've had seen the last of Linka." Tygra stated while looking at the image as well.
"It is the Mutant's Warbot." Panthro stated while still stunned at the image. "We've destroyed it a long time ago, but it looks like those enemies of yours have re-build it."
"And according to these readings, the Thundrainium source is coming from the Warbot as well." Tygra added.
"How is that possible?" Lynx-O asked with wonder in his tone.
"They must have figured out a way to produce the Thundrainium and somehow coated the machine with the stuff." Linka stated.
"That would explain why all of our systems have been acting up." Tygra stated as the image of the Warbot started to change.
As they all watched, the Warbot started to become more clearer and started to have it's front eyes glowing red. Within moments, the red eyes started to become laser beams and started to strike the lair. As the lasers started to hit the lair, everyone in the control room started to feel all of the vibrations following the attack.
"Panthro, damage report." Lion-O asked while still tending to Cheetara.
"Just a few shakes there Lion-O. No real damage." Panthro replied.
"We have to take out the Warbot before the attacks get any stronger." Tygra started to say while planning a few steps ahead. "Panthro, Lynx-O, scan the Warbot for it's weakness. It should be in the front right leg. The same place where the plans indicated from before."
"On it Tygra, but with that thing messing up our power supply, it will be hard to scan the leg."
"Panthro, send the coordinates to Laser control and have them try to push it back with what remaining power that we have available before-" Lion-O started to say before feeling weaker himself.
"LION-O!" Everyone shouted as Gaia went over to the Lord of the Thundercats.
"Are you alright Lion-O?" Gaia asked with some concern as she went to her knees to check on Lion-O.
"I think that I am starting to feel the effects as well. We must stop them." Lion-O stated as he started to release Cheetara from his arms and place her head first gently on the floor. "Gaia, I know that I shouldn't ask you this but can you?"
"Of course Lion-O." Gaia started to say as she started to elevate up Cheetara's head very slowly. "I'll help Bengali and Leia look after Cheetara. You have to save your home."
"Our home. You and your Planeteers are part of our family and we all fight together.." Lion-O replied as he approached the main computer.
"Tygra, put me through to the entire Lair." Lion-O stated in his most determined tone.
"You're ready to go Lion-O." Tygra replied as he opened a wide channel on the comm unit to all stations within the Lair.
"Attention all Thundercats and Planeteers!" Lion-O's started to say. "We are under attack. Prepare all defense systems right away."
"Panthro, Tygra, Lynx-O, Linka, what's the status from laser control." Lion-O asked as he approached the main display screen.
"Laser control should have the coordinates by now and they should be firing the lasers right now." Tygra stated as red beams started to appear on the screen.
As the red laser beams started to head towards the Warbot, everyone was surprised when all of a sudden, the laser beams started to veer off course and strike the the other end of the Lair.
"Tygra… What happened?" Panthro asked with some concern in his tone. "How could they miss?"
"I don't know, but I intend to find out." Tygra stated as he started to use the comm unit once again.
"Laser control, this is Tygra." The architect of Thundera started to say. "What happened up there? How did you miss?"
"It wasn't our fault Tygra." Pumyra replied through the comm unit. "The head just started to move on it's own."
"THE HEAD WHAT!?" Tygra replied in somewhat a shocking tone in response to Pumyra's reason.
"You heard me. The head started to move on it's own." Pumyra started to say while feeling a little annoyed. "Nayda and I are trying to move the head back into position."
"Better hurry." Tygra started to say." It looks like the Warbot is about ready to launch an attack of it's own."
As Tygra and Pumyra were having their conversation, the Warbot's metal claws started to open up as the machine's eyes started to glow a greenish color.
"That maybe more difficult from here Tygra." Nayda responded in her most concerned tone. "It looks like the controls for the head have completely burned out. I can't get them working."
"All right then, you all better get outta there before-"
As Tygra was about to finish his sentence, the Warbot started to form it's special triangle type laser beam weapon and started to fire it at the Cat's Lair. As the machine fired it's beam, it made direct contact with the insignia of the Cat's Lair. As the beam made contact, systems all over the lair from the hanger to the main control room started to explode and burst into flames. As the explosions continued to erupt, the machine took this opportunity to advance towards the lair and right towards the main head.
"Panthro. What's our status?" Lion-O asked as explosions continued to erupt around the control room.
"Working on it Lion-O." Panthro replied.
"What ever that Warbot hit us with is causing a chain reaction with all of our systems. We have got to turn off everything powered by Thundrilliuim right away." Tygra added.
"But won't that leave us defenseless?" Linka asked in her most concerned tone.
"Not really." Panthro started to say in his most honest tone while trying to keep the consoles from exploding. "After the problem that we had when we were looking for Thundrillium when we first got here, I've been working on a subsustite power supply. Now that you and your fellow Planeteers have joined us with your knowledge I believe that our power supply problem is over."
"Then why haven't you've activated it yet Panthro?" Lion-O asked in is most honest and concerned tone.
"To be honest, I've never had any time to test it."
"Well this seems to an excellent time to test it." Tygra repied.
"Da, plus we don't know how much longer we can keep these consoles from-" Linka started to say.
As Linka was about to complete her sentence, the console in front of her started to explode, forcing the Wind Planeteer down to the ground.
"Linka, my dear. Are you alright?" Lynx-O asked as he started to swing his chair around to check on Linka.
"Da." Linka replied while still feeling a little groggy from the explosion. "I think I should be alright." She added as she started to get back to her feet.
"Panthro, Tygra, quickly switch over to the backup power supply before the whole Lair is rendered useless." Lion-O stated as Panthro and Tygra started to try and switch over the power systems.
As the Thundercats started to begin their work, the main control room started to shake as if something was being torn off from high above. As the rumbling continued, the alarms started to go off once again.
"Lynx-O, what is happening now?" Lion-O asked with much concern in his tone.
"According to what I am understanding, it appears that the head has just been torn off." Lynx-O replied while still pushing buttons on his mini brail board.
"WHAT?!" Both Tyugra and Panthro yelled at the same time.
"That is what I am getting right now."
"What about communications?" Lion-O started to say. "Can we still contact laser control or make sure that everyone is safe?"
"I'm sorry Lion-O. There is nothing that I can do. We can only hope that the others got out of the head before it was ripped off."
"Panthro, Tygra, how is it going?" Lion-O asked with a concerned and saddened tone in his voice.
"Not good I'm afraid." Tygra replied in his most honest and saddened tone. "We can't switch over the power supply. The connections has been fused.."
"Our only option is to shut everything down and go to emergency power." Panthro added.
"If that is our only choice, then do it." Lion-O replied in an honest tone.
After Lion-O's answer, both Tygra and Panthro started to try and shut everything down before the damage done by the Warbot's energy weapon causes everything that is ran by Thundrillium to overload and explode.
"That should do it." Panthro stated as the lights started to go out.
"The emergency power should kick in right about now." Tygra added as the lights started to come back on but at a much lower brightness.
"We've got power, but it won't last much longer. That Warbot is draining our power as fast as we can get it back." Panthro started to say. "I'm still feeling the effects of the Thundrainium that is protecting that machine."
"Then I'm going out there to stop it." Lion-O stated as he started to turn towards the doors.
"No Lion-O." Tygra stated in his most determined tone. "If you go outside then you will start to get much weaker and we can't loose you."
"We have to do something. I'm going and that is final."
"Alright Lion-O, but we are coming with you." Lynx-O stated as both Tygra, Panthro and himself started to get out of their chairs.
"Da, me too." Linka stated as she started to get out of her chair as well.
"Linka my dear, are you sure?"
"Da. I just can't stand back and do nothing. I am a Planeteer, ring power or no ring power I am coming with you."
"But you will be defenseless."
"Maybe not." Lion-O stated as he started to walk over to Cheetara who was still being cared for my Bengali, Leia, Gaia and Ma-Ti. "How is she ding Bengali?"
"She is still asleep but her pulse is stable for now." Bengali replied while still worried about what Lion-O and the others are about to do.
As Lion-O started to kneel down towards the fallen Thundercat, he started to hear a voice coming from inside his mind.
"Lion-O, I know what is happening and what you are going to do." The voice said. "Take my weapon and have Linka use it until her powers are restored."
After hearing the voice and understanding what the message was, Lion-O started to take the yellow short bow staff from Cheetara's left gauntlet and hold it firmly in his right hand.
"I promise that I will return it to you." Lion-O stated as he leaned over and gave Cheetara a kiss on her forehead. "Please make sure that what ever happens outside that everyone else will stay here and be safe." He stated as he started to get back on his feet.
"Lion-O, are you alright?' Ma-Ti started to say with some concern.
"I'm fine Ma-Ti. Anything wrong?"
"No… It's just that for a moment, I thought I felt something coming from your mind. Ever since my ring was restored, my powers seems to have increased somewhat. I just don't know how or why this happened."
"Well in any case you are correct." I did hear a voice in my mind and it was coming from Cheetara. Somehow she was able to send me a message from her mind to mine, letting me know that it was OK for me to let Linka use her weapon." Lion-O stated while gesturing Linka and the others to come closer.
"Gaia, what is happening to our rings?" Ma-Ti started to say in his most surprised tone as Linka and the others started to join them.
"I'm not sure." Gaia stated while trying to figure it our as well. "When I created the rings, the use the power of nature to empower them. But this is new, I know that your rings have many powers available to you as time goes by and you all learn to master them, but this is different."
"Maybe the Eye of Thundera somehow awakened these powers when I used it to re-energize them a few times. Maybe a small piece of the Eye's power might have remained inside your rings." Lion-O stated as Lynx-O and the others arrived.
"That may be the case." Lynx-O started to say in his most honest tone. "There is still so much that we Thundercats don't know about the Eye's powers. Maybe this is a way of helping all of you in order to help save our home."
"Well if it is, then I need my ring's power restored so that I can help as well." Linka stated in her most determined tone.
"Linka you know that you can't just will your ring to work. You have to re-establish your connection with it." Ma-Ti stated in his most calm tone.
"Da, Ma-Ti, it is just that I don't know why my ring won't work. What am I missing to help restore it's power."
"Linka, you know that the rings aren't the source of your powers. Your power comes from within, and in order to re-connect with your ring, you have to find that power from inside yourself." Gaia replied in her most honest tone.
"This is infuriating." Linka started to say with a little anger in her tone. "What do I need to do to get this ring to work and why? There must be-"
Just as Linka was about to finish her sentence, the door to the main control room started to open. As the doors opened, the entire group inside the control room started to see both Kwami and Gi carry in both an unconscious Nayda and Pumyra.
"Nayda, Pumyra!" Tygra yelled as both Kwami and Gi started to place each of them in an empty chair by the sub control station.
"Kwami, Gi, what happened?" Panthro asked as Bengali gestured Leia to examine both the Thundercat and the Warrior Maiden.
"We were up in Laser Control, trying to get the head moving again when the console started to explode." Gi stated.
"Are the two of you alright?" Ma-Ti asked with much concern.
"We're fine Ma-Ti." Kwami started to say. "But Pumyra and Leia got the full force from the explosion and was thrown into the wall which knocked the both of them out."
"Then we started to feel the room shaking so we made a break towards the doors. We all got out just before the room was pulled away from the building."
"Gi was able to temporarily blind the machine with her water power."
"And Kwami was able to use his Earth power to create a crack in the ceiling to let all of the smoke out from the fire.."
"I'm just glad that the two of you got out of there safely." Lion-O stated as he handed the bow staff to Linka.
"Da, same here." Linka added as she took the bow staff from Lion-O.
"But unfortunately, we still have to deal with the Warbot outside the Lair." Panthro stated while trying not to be rude.
"Panthro is right about that." Gi started to say. "I may have blinded it for a while but that doesn't mean-"
As Gi was about to finish her sentence, the entire Lair started to shake again, but with much more intensity. As the shakes continued to happen, the main chandelier inside the control room started to fall and impacted on the floor not to far from the group.
"We'd better get outside and stop that machine right away." Lion-O stated as Gi and Kwami blocked himself and the others from leaving.
"Not so fast Lion-O." Gi stated in her most determined tone.
"Kwami, Gi, what do you think you are doing?" Linka asked with a concerned look on her face.
"Lion-O, with no disrespect to you and the rest of the Thundercats here, but if you think that Gi and I are going to stay here while the rest of you go and try to stop that machine, then you are crazy." Kwami stated as Lion-O started to show a smile on his face.
"Kwami, Gi." Lion-O started to say in his most calm tone. "I would never tell you to stay behind while we are under attack. As a matter of fact we can use all of the help that we can get. Snarf and the Thunderkittens are busy taking care of our Wollo and Bulkin friends, and Snarfer is still in the medical bay recovering. So if you both want to help then I am all for it."
"Thank you Lion-O." Gi stated with pride in her tone and on her face.
"We won't let you down." Kwami added.
"Now that everything under control we'd better hurry." Tygra stated while knowing that the Warbot is continuing it's attack.
As the entire group started to leave the control room, the attacks from the Warbot continued to impact the Lair while causing parts of the hallway's structure to collapse. As the group navigated through all of damaged hallways, they made a quick stop at their armory to pick up a few laser rifles that they brought back from Thundera.
After getting the weapons, the group then headed towards the main doors of the lair while at the same time, getting ready for the most difficult battle that they have ever faced. As they opened the doors, they all started to see a massive machine right outside the Lair standing right between both the Right and Left Claws of the base.
As the entire group started to see the Warbot, Gi and Linka started to feel a little nervous about what they have both volunteered to do.
"Are you alright Linka,Gi?" Lynx-O stated while sensing how nervous both ladies were feeling.
"I don't know if what we have here will be enough to push back that machine." Gi stated while looking at her ring and the laser rifle she has in her arms.
"We just have to expose the weakness in the right forward leg. Then we can destroy it." Lion-O stated while knowing full well that this battle will be very tough.
"Lion-O, I hate to say this, but since you destroyed the machine before, Blight and her computer might have found out how and altered the design somehow." Linka stated while looking at the massive machine.
"You maybe right Linka, but we still have to do something. We have to defend our home."
"The first thing we have to do is to get that machine away from the lair. Then Kwami and Gi can use their rings and rifles to expose the weakness. If it has been repaired, then we will have to come up with something else. But for right now this seems the prudent move." Tygra stated in his most honest and determined tone.
"Lion-O, what do you think?" Lynx-O asked while starting to feel a little nervous.
"Tygra is correct about everything, but so is Gi and Linka. If the Plateneers's enemies did alter the design of the Warbot, then it must be powered from another source of energy. We have to stop that thing and find out what type before it can launch another attack." Lion-O replied in his most determined tone.
"Da. But without my ring, I feel so powerless." Linka stated as the giant machine started to advance towards the group.
"Linka, you are not powerless." Kwami started to say with much determination in his tone. "Your greatest power comes from inside, and when the time is right you will have that power."
"If you say so Kwami, but for now we have to stop that thing."
"I'm glad to see that we are all in agreement." Lion-O stated as he started to place his left hand into the Claw Shield from his belt and using his right hand to draw the sword from the hilt of the shield. "Linka, activate the bow staff now by thinking of the command to extend."
As soon as Lion-O told Linka what to do, she started to hold the bow staff in her left hand while starting to concentrate on the command to extend.
As Linka started to think the command, the orange short bow staff started to glow and then started to expand into a fully straight bow staff. As she watched the staff transform a look of wonder and concern started to show on the Wind Planeteer's face.
"Linka, you alright?" Gi asked while seeing the look on her best friend's face.
"Da Gi, I'm fine." Linka started to say as the Warbot started to advance towards the group.
"Linka, Gi, I know that what is happening is interesting but we have to deal with the Warbot right away." Tygra stated as the machine started to get closer.
"You're right Panthro." Lion-O started to say. "I just hope that the sword still has enough power to help us." He added as the Lord of the Thundercats started to yell his next command. "HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He shouted as the sword started to change in his right hand from short dagger to full sword mode.
"Kwami, Gi, use your rings now." Panthro stated as he and Tygra started to get their own weapons ready for the fight.
"Let's see if this will shake that machine up." Kwami stated while aiming his ring at the giant machine. "EARTH!" Kwami shouted as green energy waves started to appear from his ring and towards the ground underneath the Warbot.
As the green energy beams started to hit the ground underneath the Warbot, the earth itself started to vibrate and shake while causing the machine to move back a little. As the machine continued to move back, it then started to adjust itself to become immune to the effects of Kwami's Earth power.
"It looks like you did shake up that machine Kwami, but it seems to be able to adapt to your attack." Tygra stated as he started to twirl his Bolo Whip around.
"Wait a moment Tygra, let me see if I can use my ring to push the machine back just like I did from before." Gi stated as she started to point her ring at the Warbot. "WATER!" She shouted as a blue aura started to appear on her ring.
As Gi's ring started to show a blue aura, the river running underneath the Cat's Lair also started to show the same aura as a stream of water started to rise up from the river and show it's self on the right side of the bridge. As the water stream started to appear, Gi started to concentrate and commanded the stream of water to impact the forward right section of the machine.
As the water started to hit it's mark, the Warbot started to move back towards the area of the Lair where the bridge was located. As the machine got to the bridge, it started to activate some kind of thrusters, allowing it to vault over the bridge as well as activating some kind of shielding that started to evaporate the water as it was impacting the armor.
"Tygra, any ideas about what is going on here?" Panthro asked with some concern after what just happened with the Planeteer's attacks.
"I'm not sure Panthro." Tygra started to say in his most honest tone. "Usually the Mutant's devices aren't that smart and also it would have to be remote controlled in order to move on any attack command. This time it would seem that the machine is operating on it's own."
"I'm not sure about that." Linka replied while trying not to be rude.
"Linka my dear, do you know something about the Warbot's strange behavior?" Lynx-O asked in his most honest tone.
"Da. It is almost like there is someone controlling it from the inside."
"I think I know where you are going with this Linka." Kwami started to say. "If Dr. Blight and her computerized friend re-build the Warbot then it would also come to reason that MEL is somehow controlling it from the inside."
"That's right. MEL is a computer program, so it wouldn't be hard for him to upload himself into the Warbot's computer system." Gi added.
"That could explain how the Warbot is adapting to all of our attacks." Tygra started to say. "We have to come up with a new plan right away before-."
Just as Tygra was about to complete his sentence, the Warbot started to fire laser beams from it eyes at both the Thundercats and the three Planeteers. As the giant machine's lasers struck the ground Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro and Lynx-O were able to avoid the beams while at the same time The Planeteers were able to dodge the beams as well.
"That was a close one." Panthro stated.
"We need to stop that machine." Tygra started to say. "But it is all covered in Thundrainium so all of our weapons and use are getting weaker by the moment."
"Wheeler's ring could do it." Linka stated as both GI and Kwami started to show a slight surprise on their faces.
"Linka, my dear what do you mean?" Lynx-O asked.
"Wheeler's ring is the power of fire. He can melt down the Thundrainium and seriously damage the machine."
"That's right Linka." Kwami started to say. "I'm glad that you remembered Wheeler's ring power. Anything else?"
"Na, just that." Linka replied.
"How can we get in touch with Wheeler?" Gi started to say. "We have no communication devices to use and Ma-Ti still can't hear Wheeler's thoughts."
"I can get Wheeler here but all of you have to keep that machine busy." Lion-O stated as he started to wave the sword back from long sword to dagger form.
"Are you sure that this will work?" Gi asked while trying not to be rude.
"It has to. We are running out of options and time." Lion-O replied as the Warbot's attacks started up again.
"Kwami, Gi, Linka, protect Lion-O. The rest of us will try and distrack the Warbot." Panthro stated as he and the other Thundercats started to draw the attention of the Warbot away from Lion-O and the others.
"Let this work." Gi started to think inside her mind. "Please Wheeler see the signal and come home."
While Gi was thinking about Wheeler, Lion-O started to raise the Sword Of Omens high above his head while at the same time, holding the hilt of the sword with both of his hands.
"Alright Wheeler, wherever you are we need you to come home." Lion-O stated as he started to shout his command. "THUNDER…. THUNDER…. THUNDER…. THUNDERCATS HOOOOOOOOOOO!" Lion-O shouted as the sword started to transform once again.
As Lion-O started to shout his command, the Sword Of Omens started to transform once again. As the sword started to change it's form the Cat's eye symbol embedded inside the hilt of the swoird started to turn from orange and brown to bright red and white. As the sword finished changing, the Cat's Eye also started to change from the Cat's Eye into the symbol of the Thundercats. As the new symbol started to appear, the red beam started to form from the sword and into the sky showing the symbol of the Thundercats and also making a giant roar into the sky.
As the roar from the Thundercat's symbol started to happen all of the Thundercats outside the lair started to have their uniform symbols glowing red as well as their eyes glowing orange. But as for the Planeteer's a very different effect started to happen. As Kwami, Gi and Linka looked at the Eye in the sky, both Kwami and Gi started to feel a rush of power and strength, more powerful then thay had ever felt before, but as for Linka, something else was happening to the Wind Planeteer.
"AAAHHHHHHHH!" Linka started to yell. "WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?! MY HEAD FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO EXPLODE!" She yelled as Linka started to place both of her hands on top of her head.
"Linka, what's wrong?!" Kwami yelled back trying to get through to Linka.
" SOMETHING IS HAPPENING TO MY MIND! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! MAKE IT STOP! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!"
As Linka continued to scream in pain, inside her mind, the sudden rush of power and strength had started to have an effect that neither the Wind Planeteer nor everyone else could ever have imagined.
As the Thundercat power started to course through her mind, all of the locked doors holding back her most deepest and important memories started to break down. As these doors started to fall apart, all of the memories and feelings that were imprisoned by the venom of Spidera's children started to return. But as these memories started to return, the sudden shock was hurting Linka from the inside out. As the pain started to go down, Linka started to regain her composure and started to remember everything that was taken away from her . She started to remember her feelings for her parents, what happened to her cousin Boris in Washington D.C . She also started to remember all of the feelings that she had for her Planeteer family as well as the one person that she really loves.
As Lion-O was trying to summon Wheeler, the Warbot had just finished defeating the other three Thundercats, by turning the energy of their own weapons against them with a little added Thundrainium to completely wear them out. As the Warbot looked on, the eyes of the giant machine started to glow a orange color before firing it's beams at the signal in the sky.
As the orange beams from the Warbot started to strike the symbol of the Thundercats, the impact started to cause some kind of chain reaction causing the a massive explosion within the symbol itself. After a moment more, the symbol started to get weaker and weaker and at the same time started to get lower and lower.
As the symbol started to return to the sword, the beam from the Warbot continued to intensify almost as if it was feeding off the energy from the Eye Of Thundera. As the beam returned to the sword, the orange beam started to strike the sword but then started to change color again to a dark purple.
"Lion-O are you alright?" Kwami asked while still seeing Lion-O struggling with holding the beam at bay.
"I don't know." Lion-O stated while feeling weaker by the second. "Something is very wrong. I can't release the sword or the beam will hurt all of us." He added.
"Kwami, we have to do something." Gi stated as both her ring and Kwami's ring started to transform themselves.
As both Kwami and Gi started to feel something strange happening from within their rings, the Sword Of Omens was going through a change as well. But this change was not for the better. As the beam continued to strike the sword, the structure itself started to become unstable. As Lion-O continued to hold the beam at bay, the sword and hilt started to show minor cracks while the beam continued to intensify.
"What is happening to the sword?" Lion-O stated as he tried to deflect the beam towards his Claw Shield.
"Lion-O… You must stop what you are doing." A voice started to say as an image started to appear.
"Jaga!" Lion-O shouted while trying to move his shield into position. "What is going on. The sword. I can't release the sword from the beam."
"Lion-O, if this keeps up, not only will the sword be destroyed but the Eye Of Thundera could also die."
"Die… What do you mean?"
"The Eye of Thundera is a living person within the sword. If the sword is destroyed then the Eye could also die from the beam that is hitting it."
"But if I don't hold back the beam then we all could be destroyed."
As Lion-O and Jaga was continuing to have their discussion, the jewel inside the sword, which also contains the Eye Of Thundera started to crack. As the crack continued to increase all of the Thundercats as well as the Planeteers started to feel the effects. After a moment more, the blade of the sword started to completely break apart and then started to shatter into thousands of pieces. With the blade destroyed and the jewel cracked, all of the Thundercats and their vehicles and home started to loose power.
"Lion-O!" Kwami shouted as he and Gi also started to feel the effects.
"Lion-O, hold on we're going to take this machine on." Gi added as they both started to aim their rings at the machine.
"NO! DON'T!" Lion-O shouted back in an attempt to stop his friends. "It turned the energy of the other's weapons against them. It could do the same to you.." Lion-O stated before the impact of the beam finally knocked the Lord of the Thundercats to the ground and making him release what was left of his sword.
"Linka! We need you right now!" Kwami shouted as he and Gi started to launch their own attacks against the machine. "Gi, it is time, do you feel the words."
"Yes Kwami. Let's do it." Gi replied as they both started to shout their new commands.
"THUNDER EARTH STRIKE!" Kwami shouted.
"THUNDER WATER STRIKE!" Gi added.
As both the Earth and Water Planeteer shouted their new command phrases, the symbols on their rings started to change from their normal elements to the sign of their elements with the Thundercats' logo right beside it. As their beams started to emerge, Kwami's green beam started to impact the ground right in front of the Warbot, while Gi's blue beam started to head towards and impact the river running underneath the Cat's Lair bridge.
As the beams started to impact their specific elements, Linka had just regained all of her memories from all of the broken doors inside her mind. As she continued to see what was happening to her friends, her emotions were starting to rise up more and more, while at the same time causing her ring to start to glow.
"Nyet. I have got to do something. I have to try and help my friends." Linka stated as she started to see something strange start to appear.
As Linka continued to watch, Kwami's green beam started to drag all of the dirt and small rocks from the impact site, causing to it transform into a new form. As both Kwami and Linka continued to watch the Earth components combine into a new form, Gi's beam started to do something similar but in a different way.
The beam that impacted the river started to cause a geyser of water to appear while at the same time, directing that same flow towards the same spot next to Kwami's. As both the Earth and Water forms started to transform both Kwami and Gi were starting to be a bit puzzled about what is happening.
"Kwami, what is happening?" Gi asked while still look confused.
"I don't know know Gi." Kwami started to say. "But whatever is happening, something tells me that all of this is alright."
As both the Planeteers continued to watch, the pile of dirt and rocks started to form into a life-sized version of a jaguar cat. The ears were completely made of dirt while the eyes started to have the smallest rocks inside them. Also the rocks started to combine with the dirt to form massive paws with sharpened claws that can cut through anything. As the rest of the dirt and rocks started to form the body of the cat, Gi's water stream started to from into a jaguar cat of it's own. The ears, claws, body, tail, and head were all made of solid flowing water. At the end, two large jaguar cat like elements stood ready to launch their attacks against the Warbot.
"Let's do it Gi." Kwami stated as both himself and the Water Planeteer started to concentrate their commands to their element felines.
As both Gi and Kwami started to launch their attack, Linka had just started to get back to her feet and started to walk ove to Lion-O to see if there was anything she could do to help.
"Lion-O, are you alright?" Linka asked with much concern in her tone.
"The sword…. The sword…" Lion-O was barley able to say. "We have to repair the sword…."
After Lion-O's statement, Linka started to pickup what was left of the Sword Of Omens.
"Lion-O, the sword is cracked and the blade is shattered completely." She started to say. "I don't know if it can be repaired."
"If the sword…. Can't be repaired….. Then the Thundercats….. Are no more…." Lion-O stated before he passed out from the Thundrainium and the massive battle with the Warbot.
"LION-O!" Linka started to yell. "NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! I HAVE TO HELP KWAMI AND GI! I NEED TO FIGHT! I NEED MY RING! WHEELER I NEED YOU! THIS WON'T BE THE END! I WON'T LET IT! NYET, NYET, NYET, NYET!" Linka yelled as her ring started to come alive.
As Linka's emotions started to intensify, her ring started to emit a powerful white light that started to envelope herself as well as shoot up straight up into the sky. As the white light continued to shoot straight into the sky, Linka's blonde hair started to also shoot up, as if it was being pulled by the force of the beam. As the light beam started to come down, it then started to change into a giant ball of light completely enveloping Linka inside itself. A moment later, the ball of white light started to get smaller and smaller, while at the same time all of the energy from the light started to go directly into Linka's Planeteer ring. As the energy kept flowing into her ring, the Wind Planeteer started to feel her connection with her power being restored as well as a new form of power being awakened. After a moment more, the darkness that was covering her ring was gone and the element of Wind started to show itself once again.
With renued strength and vigor, Linka got back to her feet and aimed her newly re-energized ring at the Warbot.
"Now that my power is restored, it's time to finish you." Linka started to say. "Wi-"
Just as Linka was about to finish her command, the Warbot started to fire some sort of green energy beams, that struck Linka directly and started to turn her to solid stone.
While Kwami and Gi were trying to fight against the Warbot, they both started to see the white light coming from behind them both and then saw the green energy beams firing in the same direction.
"Gi, we have to end this quickly, I'm worried about Lion-O and….LINKA!" Kwami shouted as he and Gi started to turn around to see the energy beam strike Linka.
"LINKA! NO!" Gi shouted as she started to run towards Linka.
"GI, STOP!" Kwami shouted as the Warbot started to fire the same beam again.
"Linka, I'm coming I-" Gi started to say as the energy beam struck her hard.
"GI, NO!" Kwami shouted as the Water Planeteer started to turn to stone as well.
As Gi started to turn to stone, her element cat started to disappear. After Kwami saw what was happening to Gi, the Erath Planeteer started to concentrate and launched his attack again against the Warbot once more. A moment later, the Warbot was able to somehow smash Kwami's element cat into dust and pebbles with it's giant metal legs well as fire it's beams again at Kwami.
As the Beams approached the Earth Planeteer, Kwami was able to evade the first volley but got hit by the second. As he started to turn to stone, Kwami stared to reach ouyt with his hand in the direction of both Linka and Gi as they were both frozen in stone.
As soon as Kwami was completely transformed, the machine then turned it's green beams towards the Cat's Lair and fired at full power. As the beams impacted the Cat's Lair' main symbol, the entire structure started to change. The once mighty structure of marble and stone all started to change into dark grayish rock while at the same time, all of the Thundercats and their allies inside also started to turn to stone. After a moment or two, there was nothing left of the Cat's Lair except a rocky statue with a lot of markings.
After completing it's mission, the giant machine started to turn around and headed back to its base of operations. While at the same time, a lone animal and a person riding it started to make their approach towards what was left of the battle field. As the animal and the rider approached what was left of the battle, the rider got off the animal and started to look around.
"What happened here?" He started to say while looking around. "What happened to the Lair? What happened to-" He added as he started to see three statues . "Kwami, Gi?' He said as he was starting to look at the last statue. "LINKA! NO!" He shouted as he fell to his knees.
As he started to cry, Wheeler started to hear a familiar sound coming from the sky, but when he started to look up he started to see two object coming right towards him. As the figures started to get closer, the Fire Planeteer didn't notice that the ring inside his right vest pocket has started to glow.
As the two figures started to get closer, a bunch of questions started to appear inside the Planeteer's mind. "What can I do?.. Is there a way to help everyone?.. What did all of this?.. Please, can anyone help me?"
