As the battle between the Thundercats and the Warbot continued to intensify, back in deep space Mandora Evil Chaser and the Samurai Shogun Warrior Hachiman had just entered the Third Earth Solar System. While in route, Mandora and Hachiman stopped off on a nearby planet to pickup and old friend that might help out the Thundercats and the Planeteers.
"I sure hope you have a good reason for making me come along Mandora." The light green alien robot type stated. "I was just doing just fine in my place of business."
"Business or a front for robbing people." Mandora retorted.
"Mandora, that is a fine way to act to a reformed criminal." He started to say. "I'll have you know that ever since I left the universe from being the greatest pick-pocket, that now I am in the business of testing out new security systems and find any problems that may develop."
"Quick-Pick, you can't really expect me to believe that you have gone straight after spending all that time with me on the Electro-Charger."
"Now Mandora, you know that I was very helpful in helping you and Lion-O in escaping Captain Cracker and his robot pirate army back on that prison asteroid years ago."
"And the point of all of this is?"
"Mandora, I have gone legit." Quick-Pick started to say as he started to use his left pincer-type hand and grabbed a card from his red and orange coat. "Here is my card if you want to know what I have been up to. "
"Let's see this card of yours." Mandora started as she started to take the card from Quick-Pick's left pincer with her own left hand. The card reads: "Quick-Pick's Security Alarm System Checker. I can find any weakness and explain how to improve it. To setup an appointment, send an email to ."
"As you can see it is a legit business. I've also gone through all of the proper channels, so that there is no problem with the law."
"I'll have to take your word for it for now, but we really need your help with something im-" Mandora started to say until she started to feel something weird happening to herself.
"MANDORA, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Hachiman asked while noticing Mandora's sudden lapse in concentration.
"I'm…. Not sure." Mandora started to say in a weakened tone. "I started to feel strange for a moment."
"Do you want me to drive?" Quick-Pick asked with a somewhat concerned tone in his voice.
"I'm not that desperate." Mandora retorted back in a most determined and official tone.
"I don't like this Mandora." We should have been at the Lair earlier to help out Lion-O-san and the rest of the Thundercats and the Planeteers if you didn't insist on getting Quick-Pick here." Hacihman stated as the group was starting to pass by other planets in Third Earth's solar System.
"I've already explained that Quick-Pick's talents might be useful in this situation." Mandora started to say as she started to look behind her and at Quick-Pick. "Quick-Pick owes the Thundercats for getting him on probation."
"I've always prided myself on always paying off my debts, but it would also help if I knew who these Planeteers are."
"Once we get to the Cat's Lair, then I will explain everything." Hachiman stated as they were both making their final approach.
"Hachiman, we've got a problem here." Mandora stated as she started to try and raise the Cat's Lair.
"What's the problem Mandora?"
"I've been trying to raise the Lair to let them know were on approach, but I'm not getting any response."
"Maybe their comm system is out of whack." Quick-Pick started to say. "I can always get them a good deal for a better communications system for a standard fee of course."
"I thought you said you were legit now."
"I am. I was talking about one of the companies that owe me a favor for my services."
"We'll have to talk more about this later. Right now we are entering the planet's atmosphere." Mandora stated as she and Hachiman started their landing procedures.
As Mandora's Electro-Cycle and Hachiman's mechanical steed finally broke through Third Earth's atmosphere barrier, they started to lay in a course straight towards the location of the Lair. As the pair started to get within range, they couldn't believe what had happened or what they were seeing.
"By the great elders, what has happened to the Thundercat's home." Hachiman stated with shock in his tone.
"I don't know, but maybe we can find out." Mandora replied as she and Hachiman started to land their rides a few meters from the battle site.
As Mandora and Hachiman were landing their vehicles, Wheeler was still in a deep sadness. He couldn't stop crying over what has happened to his fellow Planeteers and the Thundercats. As the others were approaching, the Fire Planeteer started to speak towards the statue of the woman he loves.
"Oh Linka." Wheeler started to say while still showing sadness in his tone. "I shouldn't have left you. I just didn't know what to do. Without you in my world, my life is worth nothing. I would give anything to get you back." He added.
"Wheeler?" A voice spoke from behind the Planeteer.
"WHO ARE YOU?! I'M NOT IN THE MOOD FOR ANYTHING!" Wheeler started to yell as he also started to get up onto his feet and turned around.
"Man…Mandora." He started to say in a much more calm and honest tone. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you like that."
"It's OK Wheeler." Mandora started to say in her most honest and calm tone. "What happened here? Where is the Cat's Lair? And where are your fellow Planeteers?"
After Mandora's questions were spoken, Wheeler just gestured his hands to show the Officer and her companions what happened to the Planeteers and to the Cat's Lair.
"By the ancient ones." Hachiman stated once again after seeing the Cat's Lair turned into solid rock.
"My friends were also changed into rock." Wheeler started to say in a much more calm tone. "It was like this when I showed up. I have no idea what happened."
"What about Lion-O and the other Thundercats?" Mandora asked as Quick-Pick and Hachiman started to look around the area.
"I don't know." Wheeler started to say. "I didn't notice anything else after seeing Linka and the others like this." He finished as he gestured towards his rocky companions.
"It's alright Wheeler." Mandora started to say while also trying to help the Fire Planeteer. "Let's look around and try to find-"
As Mandora was about to finish her sentence, the officer started to notice something being held by Linka's rocky right hand. As she started to get a better look at what the Wind Planeteer was holding, a sudden chill and a sense of worriness started to take over.
"Hachiman, Quick-Pick, have you found anything?" Mandra stated while she was still examining what Linka was holding.
"I found Panthro and Tygra." Quick-Pick stated. "But something is quite wrong with both of them."
"Explain quickly."
"I can't tell for sure, but it looks like they have no pulse." Quick-Pick started to say in his most nervous tone." I can't do anything more since I have mechanical arms and legs."
"Hachiman, anything?"
"Yes Mandora." Hachiman started to say while kneeling over Lynx-O's body, while at the same time looking for some signs of life. "It appears that the Thundercat is still alive, but his pulse is very weak for some reason. I'm quite certain that the other two are in the same condition."
"We have to do something." Mandora stated while finishing up her examination of the mysterious object in Linka's rocky hand. "I've just located the Thundercat's sword."
"You did. That's great." Quick-Pick started to say. "Well, where is it?"
"I'm afraid that it has been turned to stone as well."
As Mandora was having her discussion with the others, the rage and sadness inside Wheeler started to get more and more intense. With every passing moment while at the same time hearing what was happened to the Thundercats and the Planeteers started to effect the Fire Planeteer more deeply.
"This is all my fault." Wheeler started to say while trying to keep his anger in check. "I've let everyone down, and now the Thundercats home and my family are turned to stone."
"Wheeler, get a hold of yourself." Mandora stated as she saw how shaken up the Fire Planeteer had become. "This is not your fault."
"Mandora-san is correct my young friend." Hachiman stated as he started to approach Wheeler. " There is no way that you could have predicated that this was happening. Besides all is not lost."
"It isn't?" Mandora asked with a confused look on her face behind her helmet mask.
"If we can repair the Thundercats's sword and if we can get the others feeling better then we might be able to undo everything."
"Are you sure about that?" Quick-Pick asked while looking over Linka and the position of the sword. "The sword has been turned to stone and it is also in the hands of this lovely statue before us." He added as he started to pose right next to the statue.
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" Wheeler yelled as Quick-Pick started to put some distance between himself and the Wind Planeteer.
"Whoa there tiger." Quick-Pick stated while moving away from the statue. "I didn't mean any harm. Besides it is only a statue…Right?"
"That is no statue." Wheeler started to say while at the same time, trying to calm down. "THAT IS THE WOMAN THAT I LOVE AND MARRIED TOO!" He yelled.
"Oh my. I didn't know. I'm sorry."
"She was turned to stone cause I wasn't here to help the others."
"Wheeler, you must calm down." Mandora stated while at the same time trying to keep an eye on Quick-Pick. "We have to find all of the shards of the Sword of Omens, do you know where they are?"
"No I don't." Wheeler retorted back. "It was like this when I arrived."
"Not to worry Mandora. I can find the shards." Quick-Pick stated with a bit of pleasure in his tone.
"Quick-Pick, if this is some kind of trick or a joke." Mandora stated after hearing Quick-Picks statement.
"I'm very serious Mandora. I can find the shards." The mechanical green alien stated as he started to take some kind of tool out of his coat and then started to adjust a small hole on both his black eyes.
"What do you think you are doing to your eyes?" Hachiman stated while watching Quick-Pick go to work.
"A little modification that I use to help find certain weakness in security systems." He replied as he finished his modifications. "Now I should be able to see even the tiniest shard from the Thundercat's broken sword."
"Then you'd better get started." Mandora stated while still keeping an eye on Wheeler. "I'll help Wheeler and the Thundercats if I can."
"Right away." Quick-Pick replied as he started to look for all of the shards from the broken sword.
"The first thing we need to do is to make sure that our friends are O.K." Mandora stated while looking at the fire Planeteer. "Wheeler, I could use you help with this."
"I'm not leaving Linka." Wheeler retorted back while still staying next to the statue.
"LISTEN TO ME WHEELER!" Mandora yelled as she started to grab the Planeteer's jacket. "I KNOW THAT YOU ARE MAD AND UPSET ABOUT WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE, BUT HAICHMAN AND I NEED YOUR HELP! SO STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF AND HELP US RIGHT NOW!"
"Alright I'll help." He replied in his most sincere tone.
"Hachiman, any ideas?" The officer asked as she and Wheeler started to head towards Lion-O.
"We have to take the Thundercats to a place where they can get better. I have some medicines with me but it would take time for them to work." The Samurai replied.
"We could take them to the Warrior Maiden's home in the Tree Top Kingdom." Wheeler started to say. " I just hope that Willa will help us."
"Why do you sound so unsure about that?" Mandora asked in her most confused tone.
"Because her daughter and her Amazon sister were turned into stone as well as the Cat's Lair."
"If we can get the Thundercat's sword repaired then everyone inside the lair will be just fine. "Hachiman stated while starting to pick up Lion-O off the ground. "Mandora-san, I'll get Lion-O to my steed. You and Wheeler help the others to my horse as well."
"Right Hachiman." Mandora replied as she and the Fire Planeteer started towards the others.
As Mandora and Wheeler approached the rest of the fallen Thundercats, the officer started to check each Thundercat to make sure that they were all still alive. A moment after checking, both her and Wheeler started to move the fallen warriors towards Hachiman's , metal steed.
As Wheeler and Mandora continued their efforts to move the fallen warriors, Hachiman started to try and help the leader of the Thundercats.
"Lion-O-san, can you hear me?" The samurai asked with some concern in his tone. "Lion-O-san?"
As Hachiman tried to get a response from the fallen lord, Wheeler and Mandora had just secured both Panthro and Tygra near Hachiman's metal steed. As they were heading back towards Lynx-O's position, someone else started to approach the duo.
"Wheeler, are you alright?" Mandora asked while the duo approached Lynx-O.
"What do you mean by that?" Wheeler retorted back.
"Look I know that you are upset about what just happened but we need you to focus on what is important right now."
"Mandora, no offense to you, but to me Linka and my friends are the most important." Wheeler started to say as he and Mandora started to gather Lynx-O off the ground. "I just feel so helpless that I-"
As Wheeler was about to finish his sentence, he started to feel something tapping him on the back. As he and Mandora started to turn around with the unconscious Lynx-O in their arms, the duo was surprised by what they both started to see.
As they both started to turn around, both Wheeler and Mandora started to see a beautiful white haired Unicorn with a long horn reaching out from it's head. As they finished turning around, Wheeler started to recognize the animal.
"What are you doing here?" Wheeler asked while seeing the Unicorn.
"Wheeler, is this animal a friend of yours?" Mandora asked with much concern.
"Yes it is. I'm sorry, I guess after everything that has happened I completely forgot that you were here." The Fire Planeteer stated as he started to rub the white maine on the Unicorn's head.
As Wheeler continued to rub the Unicorn's head, the head and the horn of the animal started to press against the Planeteer's jacket pocket where the ring was kept.
"What is he trying to tell you Wheeler?" Mandora started to say while still wondering about the animal's motives. "Why is he pressing up against your jacket?"
After a moment, Wheeler stopped using his hand to rub the Unicorn's Maine and then started to reach into his jacket pocket. After a moment he started to pull out the ring that he put the jacket pocket from before.
"I think this is what the Unicorn wanted me to take out." The Fire Planeteer started to say as he started to show Mandora the ring that he had received from the animal earlier.
"A ring?" She stated as they both continued to head towards Hachiman and the rest of the fallen Thundercats.
"I guess he wants me to put it on my hand." Wheeler stated as he started to put the ring on his hand with his Planeteer ring.
As the ring was finally placed on the Fire Planeteer's finger, the object started to glow for a moment as if the ring was finally awakened from a long slumber. While placing the ring on his finger, both Mandora and Wheeler was able to meet up with Hachiman while at the same time help to carry Lynx-O over to the rest of the fallen warriors.
"Mandora, Wheeler, please bring Lynx-O over here." Haciman gestured as both Wheeler and Mandora placed Lynx-O next to both Tygra, Panthro and Lion-O on the ground.
"Hachiman, how is Lion-O and the others?" Mandora asked as she and Wheeler started to finish their task.
"Still no change." The Samurai stated in his most caring tone.
"Can you give them the medicine you brought with you?" Wheeler asked in his most concerned tone.
"I can but only if we don't move them for a couple of hours."
"But we have to get them out of here right away." Mandora stated as Quick-Pick started to return from his job.
As the small group was having their discussion, Quick-Pick, had just finished his task and coming back to the group with a shiny plastic bag in his left pincer hand.
"Hello everyone." Quick-Pick started to say. "Any change?"
"No." Mandora retorted back. " I hope that you have gotten every shard from the sword off the ground."
"Mandora, you wound me." Qiuck-Pick stated as he started to show a plastic bag full of glittering pieces of sword metal. "There you see every shard of the sword."
"And just where did you get that bag from?" The officer asked with a little anger in her tone.
"Why from your Electro-Charger." I thought you wouldn't mind since I don't carry anything on me. And believe me there was a lot of pieces to collect."
"Quick-Pick, you and I are gonna have a little chat afterwards about minding other people's property."
"Oh joy."
"Alright you two, knock it off." Wheeler boasted while trying not to be rude. "Look I'm sorry for my outburst but we still have another problem."
"You're quite correct Wheeler." Hachiman stated in his most honest tone. "Even though we have the shards from the Thundercat's sword, the sword itself is still turned into stone."
"There must be some way to get the sword to turn back from stone and also remove it from Linka's hand without hurting her." Mandora stated while starting to feel a little strange.
"I don't want to leave her." Wheeler stated while walking towards the rock statue." I left her once because I wasn't thinking clearly. I will not make that same mistake again." He added as he stood right in front of Linka.
"Wheeler, I know that you feel upset about what has happened but you can't-." Mandora stated as she started to fall straight to her knees.
"MANDORA-SAN!" Hachiman yelled as both the Samurai, Quick-Pick and Wheeler rushed to her. "Mandora, are you alright?"
"I…..I don't know. I…. I feel strange for some reason. It is like a part of me is starting to fade away but I don't know what it is."
"Mandora, is everything OK?" Wheeler asked in his most concerned tone.
After Wheeler's question was spoken, the officer paused for a moment before answering back. "Who….. Who are you?"
"Mandora, this is not the time for jokes." Quick-Pick started to say. " You know who this person is." He added as he gestured to Wheeler.
"I'm afraid I don't know you. And I don't seem to remember why I am here on Third Earth with the Thundercats."
"Mandora, my name is Wheeler and I am a Planeteer. You must remember something. We were just talking about moving Lion-O and the other Thundercats to safety when you started to fall to your knees." Wheeler stated as he started to extend his right hand to Mandora.
"Wheeler? Wait a moment, I…. I remember now." Mandora stated while grabbing Wheeler's hand and getting up from the ground. "Hachiman what is happening to me?"
"I'm not sure. Somehow your memory is starting to be affected the longer our friends are trapped in stone. We must free them soon before it is too late." Hachiman stated while Wheeler finished helping Mandora up from her knees.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying here and watching over Linka. I owe that to her for what I did before." Wheeler stated as he approached and started to touch the statue with his right hand.
"Wheeler I know that you are feeling bad about what happened to your friends but we need-" Mandora started to say when something strange started to happen.
As Wheeler started to press his right hand with the ring he got from the Unicorn, something strange started to happen . As the ring started to press against the stone face of the Wind Planeteer, the ring itself started to admit a strange and powerful white light. As the ring's light started to get more and more brighter, everyone that is in close proximity started to cover their own eyes to resist being blinded by the emminse brightness.
As all of this was going on, Wheeler started to use his left hand to try and protect his vision from what was happening but then another surprise started to reveal itself. As the light from the ring started to get lower and lower everyone in the group started to get their vision back. As they all started to see again they were all surprised by what they were all seeing. As they all looked on, the rocky stature of the Wind Planeteer started to change back into flesh and blood.
"Whee….. Wheeler?" Linka started to say." Is that you?"
"LINKA!" Wheeler yelled as he started to give Linka the best romantic hug and passionate kiss ever.
"What… What is going on?" Linka asked after Wheeler released her from the kiss.
"Linka you're back. Please forgive me for leaving you and the others."
"Nyet Yankee. It was my fault for the way I was acting towards you. It all feels like a nightmare, but now-" Linka started to say.
"Linka, what's wrong?" Wheeler asked while starting to feel a bit of panic.
"I… I don't feel so good."
"LINKA, QUICKLY LET GO OF THE SWORD BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!" Mandora yelled while seeing what was happening to Linka.
As Mandora started to yell, the light from the ring was just about to go out , while at the same time Linka's body started to revert back into stone. As the light started to fade, the Wind Planeteer's legs and lower torso started to transform back into solid rock once again.
"Linka, believe me when I tell you this." Wheeler started to say as he started to see the transformation approach her upper body. "I will find a way to restore you and the others. I swear it. I will not give up and those Eco-Villans will pay for this."
"Yankee." Linka started to say as she started to release her grip on the broken sword. "You know that we don't go for revenge. That is not the Planeteer way. Help the others, help yourself, and remember one thing. I love-" Linka stated before she was turned back into stone.
"LINKA!" Wheeler yelled into the sky before he started to fall to his knees again crying.
"Wheeler?…. Are you OK?" Mandora stated in her most concerned tone as she went to her knees next to the Fire Planeteer.
"No, and I won't be OK until we help the others." Wheeler started to say with tears still in his eyes. " We have to bring her and the others back." He added as he started to make a fist with his right hand. "WE HAVE TO!" He stated louder while pounding his fist into the ground with anger.
"Wheeler, we will help the others." Mandora started to say while helping Wheeler back to his feet. "But for now we have to help Lion-O and the others. They are our main concern right now."
"I know Mandora." Wheeler started to say as he started to wipe his eyes with his sleeve. "I just wish that I had gotten here sooner to help."
"Stop beating yourself up about what happened. Even if you were here, then you might have been turned to stone as well. At least this way everyone has a chance to survive, if we go now."
"Alright Mandora. You win." Wheeler stated as both he and the Space Officer regrouped with the others.
As Mandora and Wheeler started to rejoin the others, Quick-Pick and Hachiman had already started to place Lion-O and the other fallen Thundercats on top on Hachiman's metal steed, the Unicorn's back and on Mandora's Electro-cycle.
"Nice of the two of you to join us at last." Quick-Pick stated in his most sincere and mocking tone.
"Knock it off Quick-Pick." Hachiman started to say in his most concerned tone. "Can't you see that our friend here has something on his mind." He finished as he gestured to Wheeler.
"Sorry about that." The green robotic alien started to say. "Old habits you know."
"Well try to control those old habits of yours and help me secure the Thundercats so that we can move out."
"Alright, just don't cut me with your sword." Quick-Pick stated after seeing the Samurai's sword still in its sheet.
"Is everything fine here?" Mandora asked as herself and the Fire Planeteer re-joined the group.
"Fine Mandora. Everything is just fine." Quick-Pick stated while trying not to show any signs of being nervous.
"Good….. Here Quick-Pick, hold onto this and keep it secured while we move out." Wheeler stated as he started to hand over the broken Sword Of Omens to the robotic alien.
"I'll take good care of it." Quick-Pick replied as he started to place the sword inside the evidence bag with the broken shards.
"Are you sure that you got every last one of the shards? We can't leave a single piece behind." Mandora stated while Quick-Pick finished securing the sword and shards.
"My dear Mandora, I can assure you that I have picked up every piece of the sword. But if you would like I will take another look." Quick-Pick stated as he started to place the sword and the shards inside the glove box of Mandora's Electro-Cycle.
"Please do, and in the meantime I will help Hachiman and Wheeler with the Thundercats." Mandora replied as Quick-Pick started to look for more shards.
As Quick-Pick started top look for any missing pieces of the Sword of Omens, Mandora started to secure Lynx-O to the back of the Unicorn while Hachiman and Wheeler started to do the same to Tygra and Panthro.
"Is everything alright my young friend." Hachiman stated while looking at the expression on the Fire Planeteer's face. "You seem to have something on your mind."
"I don't know." Wheeler started to say in his most honest and disappointed tone. "I feel that whatever I do is not enough to help my friends and the person I love. I feel so helpless."
"My friend, you should not feel that way." Hachiman stated while starting to remove his helmet." Let me tell you something about where I come from. I come from a race of honorable Samurai. Our one mission in life is to do what is best for all and to do it with honor and respect. But I was almost tricked by a evil person named Mumm-Ra who wanted me to destroy the leader of the Thundercats."
As Wheeler heard the mention of Mumm-Ra's name, he then started to make a fist with his left hand but tried not to show it.
"After Lion-O saved my life with the help of one of the Warrior Maidens', my sword the Thundercutter would not come out of it's hilt. My sword is almost the same as Lion-O's sword. It senses when there is evil around and will not fight when a person has a good heart. I know you have a good heart my friend, don't let Mumm-Ra try to manipulate you into doing something that you don't want to do."
"But I want to kill him for what he and the Eco-Villains have done here."
"You may, but that won't solve anything. It may just make you feel worse. Don't let evil in your heart, if you do then it will corrupt you from the inside out."
"You sounded like Gaia for a moment there. She is always telling us not to abandon the way of peace."
"Then I am honored to meet someone with those teachings as well. But we have to get the others outta here right away to help them."
"Agreed." Wheeler replied in his most honest tone as Quick-Pick and Mandora approached the duo.
"Is everything alright?" Mandora asked while Quick-Pick started to examine the bag with the shards of the sword.
"Everything is fine Mandora." Hachiman replied. "Are the Thundercats ready to go?"
"They are." Mandora replied as she started to look at Quick-Pick. "Anything you want to tell us about Quick-Pick?"
"No…No not at all Mandora." Quick-Pick replied but with a slight bit of nervousness in his voice. "I do believe that I have gathered all of the pieces of the sword."
"But."
"But I think that there is one more piece missing, and I am afraid that it is inside your young lady friend's hair." Quick-Pick replied while looking at Wheeler's direction.
"WHAT?!" The Fire Planeteer yelled in surprise.
"Hey, don't kill the messenger." Quick-Pick started to say while taking a moment to collect his thoughts. "I did find all of the pieces on the ground, but a single piece must have ended up in Linka's hair before she got hit by whatever turned her to stone."
"Why didn't you tell us this before when Linka was flesh and blood?" Hachiman asked with much concern and disappointment in his tone.
"I didn't know until afterwards. Do you think it will be a problem?"
"I….. I don't know." The samurai replied.
"We can worry about this later." Mandora started to say. "We have to move out now. The sooner we get started, the sooner the Thundercats will get better."
"You're right Mandora." Hachiman stated while starting to look at the Fire Planeteer. "Wheeler, are you ready to go?"
After Hachiman's statement, Wheeler started to take in a deep breath before answering back towards the Samurai. "No. I'm not ready to go. I don't want to leave my teammates behind, but you are right that we should get Lion-O, and the others better right away."
"So?" Hachiman asked with some concern.
"So, I am ready to go."
"Well it's about time." Quick-Pick started to say. "I thought that for a moment, we were going to have another statue of flesh and blood standing here."
"QUICK-PICK!" Mandora yelled.
"Sorry about that. I didn't mean it like that."
"It's alright Quick-Pick." Wheeler started to say. "Lets move out."
"Alright everyone, make sure that the Thundercats are secure and start to move out very carefully." The samurai stated.
As the group finally started to move the injured and unconscious Thundercats, Wheeler paused for a moment and then started to look back at the battlefield and what was left of the Cat's Lair.
As the sun started to move across the sky in a very slow manner, the Fire Planeteer started to get lost in thought.
"Ma-Ti." He started to think inside his head. " I don't know if you can even hear my thoughts, but I promise that I will return to free everyone from what has happened here." He continued to think while a tear started to emerge from his eyes. "Linka, I will be back. Nothing will ever separate us again." He finished as he started to follow the others into the woods and towards the Warrior Maiden's kingdom.
As Wheeler, Hachiman, Mandora and Quick-Pick started to head towards the Warrior Maiden's home, back in his Dark Pyramid, Mumm-Ra was watching everything that had happened. While he was in his own way happy about what happened to the Thundercats, his expression and his happiness started to change almost in an instant.
"THOSE FOOLS!" He started to shout inside the Pyramid. "Those blasted Berserkers were supposed to capture Wheeler and bring him to me, not let him escape and rejoin the others." He added as he continued to see the expression on the Fire Planeteer's face. "Ah… It looks like the young fool is angry and saddened about what has happened to his wife. That could prove very useful to me, but first I'd better make sure that the Thundercats never recover." He stated as he waved his arms over cauldron to remove the image.
As he started to look into the empty image of his watery pool, the ancient mummy started to raise both of his arms into the sky as he then started to speak to the statues of the Ancient Spirits of Evil.
"ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL!" He started to shout. "BRING TO ME THE TWO WARRIORS THAT WILL SPELL THE END TO BOTH THE THUNDERCATS AND THE PLANETEERS ONCE AND FOR ALL!" He finished as all of the statue's eyes started to glow red.
Within moments of his command, each of the 4 statue's stone eyes started to glow red. After another moment each statue stared to fire two beams of red energy from their eyes and strike the other side of the cauldron opposite of Mumm-Ra's location. Once the beams had struck the ground a cloud a smoke started to appear.
As the smoke started to appear and then started to slowly disappear, two figures started to emerge from the smoke. One of the figures was Captain Pollution, who Mumm-Ra once summoned a while back. The other figure started to appear who was wearing a short reddish cape as well as a grayish body suit with also grayish gauntlets and one horn on each of his shoulders. As the smoke finally started to disappear, both of the figures started to speak.
":cough: :cough: Yo dude what is going on here?" One of the figures started to say.
"Quiet you fool. Where ever we are that person will be very sorry." The other figure started to say.
As the smoke finally vanished, both figures started to see where they are.
"No way. Not this place again." The first figure started to say.
"What are you babbling about you stupid fool. I-" The second figure started to say until he saw the other person next to him. "What are you?"
"Me, why I'm Captain Pollution dude. Made by evil duplicates of the Planet pests rings." Pollution replied.
"Well I don't care of you are the evil double of that do-good-er Captain Planet. I want to know where I am right now."
"SILENCE BOTH OF YOU! Mumm-Ra yelled to his guests.
"Who to you think you are yelling to me like that." The figure started to say in his most angered tone. "I am Zarm, master of Pollution and destruction. I don't take orders from anyone, especially from a ancient ragged body like yours."
"Ah dude, you really shouldn't make him angry." Pollution stated with a slight sense of fear in his tone.
"What is this miserable excuse for a person going to do, he can barley stand up. I'm outta here." Zarm stated as he started to turn around towards the wall.
"I DON'T THINK SO!" Mumm-Ra shouted as he fired an energy beam towards the wall.
"HOW DARE YOU TRY TO SHOOT AT ME!" Zarm shouted back. "I DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOU AND NO ONE TELLS ME WHAT TO DO!"
"Oh no." Mumm-Ra replied as the green eyes of his crypt started to glow.
"Dude, you really shouldn't have done that." Pollution stated.
"What is he going to do now?" Zarm replied as the four statues started to come to life. "What in blazes?" Zarm stated as he started to see all four statues approach the red robbed man and raise each of their right arms.
As the statues assumed their positions for the transformation process to begin, Mumm-Ra started to invoke his spell as all four of the statues started to circle the mummy. While at the same time he was being bathed in green energy.
"ANCIENT SPIRITS OF EVIL….. TRANSFORM THIS DECAYED FORM… TO MUMM-RA! THE EVER-LIVING!" He shouted as his body started to transform right in front of the others.
A Zarm and Pollution looked on, they both started to see the mummified form of Mumm-Ra transform into his other and more power form of evil. As Mumm-Ra finished his transformation, the double snake emblem on his chest started to glow red as his fists started to enclose and he started to release out his sinister laugh. After a moment of augh, Zarm started to speak once again.
"What form of creature are you? Zarm started while still feeling fear inside every bone in his body. "What are you?"
"I am Mumm-Ra the Ever Living Source Of Evil, and I have summoned you both here to help me with a small problem." Mumm-Ra replied.
"What sort of problem?"
"I need both of you to help capture the Planeteer called Wheeler and bring him to me."
"WHAT?! THE PLANETEERS HERE?!" Zarm shouted. "How could they be here? They disappeared from Earth over a year ago. The planet has been a polluter's paradise."
"I brought them here, but now they have allied themselves with my enemies the Thundercats. A group from your world also came here and finished off most of them, but the Planeteer still lives." Mumm-Ra stated as his voice started to get louder. "I WANT HIM HERE SO THAT I CAN DEAL WITH HIM PERSONALITY."
"And why should I help you with this ridiculous excuse for a lackey." Zarm stated while pointing at Pollution.
"Whoa dude, watch who you are calling a lackey." Pollution stated while also defending himself. "I am just as powerful as that Captain Pinhead and I don't care about the environment and further more."
"SILENCE!" Mumm-Ra yelled as he shot beams of red energy into the sky to break up the argument. "NOW YOU WILL BOTH LEARN TO GET ALONG AND BRING ME THE PLANETEER, OR YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK HOME! WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER?!"
"Well I don't know about you dude, but I would love to go back home and relish in all the lovely pollution." Captain Pollution stated. "I'm in."
"Fine. Then I'm in as well." Zarm added while he started to think. "At least until I can find a way of adding your powers to my own."
"So when do we get started?"
"Look into the cauldron's water and you will see where your prey is." Mumm-Ra stated as he started to wave his arms to retrieve the images of their target.
As the cauldron's watery image started to change, both Pollution and Zarm started to see the images of the Fire Planeteer as well as the images of a samurai, Officer Mandora, and the Green Alien Quick-Pick. As they all looked into the cauldron, Mumm-Ra started to yell after seeing Hachiman with the others.
"Dude… What was that for?" Pollution asked after hearing the scream from the mummy.
"That blasted Samurai Hachiman is helping the Planeteer and those miserable Thundercats. He must be dealt with immediately." Mumm-Ra replied in a much more angry tone.
"Dude, I don't think that some refugee from a cosplay show is gonna give us any trouble." Pollution stated while looking at the Samurai's clothing.
"FOOL!" Mumm-Ra replied in a higher tone. "THAT SAMURAI HAS A SWORD JUST AS POWERFUL AS THE THUNDERCATS. IT MUST BE DESTROYED RIGHT AWAY."
"What is so special about that sword anyway?" Zarm stated while looking at the samurai.
"The sword is called the Thunder-Cutter and in the hands of that blasted Samurai, it is a formidable weapon." Mumm-Ra replied.
"Alright, you've made your point. Now where are they heading?" Zarm asked with some curiosity in his tone.
"They are heading towards the Warrior Maiden's home. They must be stopped immediately." Mumm-Ra stated while starting to raise his voice.
"Not yet Mumm-Ra, not just yet." Zarm retorted back while looking at the image in the cauldron.
"WHAT?!" The mummy shouted after what Zarm had to say.
"My dear Mumm-Ra, you have to know your enemies and then plan accordingly. That is why your enemies have always beaten you." Zarm replied with a most sadistic look on his face.
"You'd have better be right about this." Mumm-Ra stated as they all continued to look inside the cauldron.
"Hey dude, think that we might be able to get some popcorn so that we can watch?" Pollution asked.
After Pollution's statement, Mumm-Ra just glowed his red eyes in order to make sure that Pollution knew that he was in charge here.
As the small group started to make their way, back at the Tree Top Kingdom, their leader Willa was busy inspecting her sisters and making sure that their home was well protected. As she approached a small group of female warriors, all of the ladies started to form a line so that Willa could see them better.
"Girls, please don't be so formal." Willa stated while approaching the girls. "I am only here to observe and not to inspect."
"Willa, is something wrong?" One of the maiden's asked?
"Why do you ask?" Willa replied not knowing her next answer.
"You seem a bit distracted."
"You're right about that. I am worried about my daughter and my sister. I'd haven't heard from them in a while and I am beginning to worry."
"I'm sure they are just fine." The maiden started to say. "They are with the Thundercats and our new friends the Planeteers. I'm sure that everything is just fine."
Just then, the maiden's early alarm system started to go off while at the same time two sentries came to report in.
"Willa! Willa!" On of the sentries yelled as she and her friend started to catch their breath.
"What's the emergency?" Willa asked with some concern in her tone.
"We have intruders in our grounds!" The other sentry started to say. "Two men, one of them in armor, a woman and a green alien of some kind, and it looked they were moving the Thundercats through our kingdom."
"The Thundercats?!" Willa yelled. "Are they alive?"
"We don't know." The first sentry started to say. "It looks like they are dead."
"DEAD!?" Willa shouted after hearing the news. "You both come with me, the rest of you are on standby just in case." She added as she and the two sentries left to meet the ones who are carrying the Thundercats.
As Willa and her two sentries were getting ready to meet the strangers who had allegedly killed the Thundercats, they all stopped by the weapons hut to arm themselves. As they entered the hut, Willa took her trademark bow that was reserved for their leader while the sentries took their common bows used for hunting and defending their home. After gathering their bows, all of them took a quiver full of various arrows that the Warrior Maiden use for hunting and defending. After that was done, all three of them started to head towards their make ready elevator and their confrontation with the strangers.
As they all started their descent, a thought or two started to run through Willa's mind.
"Who ever you are, you will pay for killing our friends." Willa thought as all three of them touched the ground and then went into hiding in the surrounding trees.
Unaware of the trap being set by Willa and her two Warriors Maidens, Mandora, Hachiman, Quick-Pick and Wheeler continued deeper into the forest with their Thundercats friends.
"I sure hope that you know where you are going Hachiman?" Wheeler asked with some concern in his tone.
"I agree with red hair here." Quick-Pick added as he gestured to Wheeler. "I don't know about the rest of you but I think I liked it better back at the Lair."
"Quit complaining you two, I'm sure that Hachiman knows where he is going." Mandora stated while starting to feel a little unsure herself. "You do know where we are going right?"
"Yes Mandora." Hachiman replied with much pride in his tone. "It has just been a long time since I was back here. I just needed to get my bearings so that I-."
Just as Hachiman was about to complete his statement, an arrow filled with some kind of red smoke hit the ground near them. As the arrow hit the ground, the reddish smoke started to emerge causing everyone to start coughing except for Quick-Pick. As the smoke started to evaporate, three women started to jump down from the trees as the group has fallen down to their knees except for the mechanical alien..
"::cough:: What kind of welcome is this? ::cough::" Mandora asked while trying to keep her composure.
"I don't know Mandora." Hachiman stated while trying not to cough.
Just then as the three woman hit the ground, their leader Willa started to speak in her most angred tone.
"WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU TRESPASSING IN OUR KINGDOM?!" Willa yelled in her most determined tone.
"::cough cough:: If this is how you treat your friends Willa, I hate to see how you treat your enemies." Wheeler stated while trying to get his bearings.
"Wheeler?!" Willa stated while the sentries started to load and aim their arrows. "You two, stand down." Their leader added as she also started to guester them to lower their weapons.
"Willa, you know one of these strangers?" One of the sentries stated.
"Yes." Willa started to say as she also started to help Wheeler back to his feet. "This is Wheeler, a Planeteer. Nayda and I met him and his other friends when we all had to get Kwami to the geyser of life."
"But what about the other three?" The other sentry asked with some concern.
"There is no need to be alarmed my friends." The samurai stated as he started to remove his helmet.
"Who are you?" Willa stated as she started to see the face of the man behind the mask.
"It has been a long time Willa. I'm sorry that I have lost touch with you and your sister." Hachiman stated as Willa's eyes started to open wide.
"I… I know you." Willa replied as she started to remember their encounter from years ago, "HACHIMAN!" She yelled.
"It is good to see that your skills are as sharp as ever."
"Where have you been all of this time?"
"Back home on my world, leading my people."
"Leading your people?" The first sentry asked with some wonder.
"Yes I am now a Shogun. A great leader among my people."
"Well that is fine and all but you still have to explain your reason for being here and who are these two other people with you." The second sentry stated with boldness in her tone.
"That is quite enough of that you two." Willa responded back trying to get her tribe sisters to stand down.
"It is alright Willa." Mandora replied as she started to get back up to her feet.
"Mandora." Willa responded with glee in her tone. "It has been too long." She added as she started to help Willa back to her feet.
"I'm sorry for our intrusion into your home, but we need your help."
"Ahem… Aren't you going to introduce me as well Mandora?" Quick-Pick stated while starting to feel a little insulted.
"Willa, this is Quick-Pick, a reformed criminal, or I hope that he is reformed."
"Now that is not a nice thing to say about someone standing right next to you." Quick-Pick stated as he extended his right mechanical pincer towards Willa. "Please to make your acquaintance my dear. Allow me to introduce myself, Quick-Pick, founder and owner of Quick-Pick's security and testing center. If there is a problem that needs updating, then I am your man to call. Here is my card." Quick-Pick added as he started to grab another business card from his coat.
"Quick-Pick, we don't have time for this right now." Mandora replied in anger. "We have to help the Thundercats, not to help you earn some business. And I still don't believe that you have gone legit."
"Can you two please shelve your discussion for now." Wheeler retorted in. "We have much bigger problems to worry about."
"Your right Wheeler." Mandora replied back as she gestured Willa and her sisters to see the fallen Thundercats secured to her Electro-Charger, the Unicorn's back and Hachiman's mechanical steed.
"What has happened to them?" Willa asked with much concern.
"We don't know." Willa started to say. "When we arrived at the Lair, we saw Wheeler kneeling at a statue of one of his friends while the other two and the lair was turned to stone. Then we saw that Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra and Lynx-O were barely alive. We thought that we should move them to a safer location to get them better."
"You have the right idea." Willa stated as she started to turn towards her two sentries. "Go back to the tree tops and bring help for the Thundercats right away."
"YES MA'AM!" Both sentries stated as they both left to head back towards the Tree Top Kingdom.
"Now tell me everything that you know and of what happened to the Thundercats while my sisters bring help." Mandora asked in her most determined tone.
As Willa's sisters started to return to their home to get help, Mandora and Hachiman started to explain everything that they say when they first approached the lair. As they continued to tell Willa what happened, the face on the Warrior Maiden's leader started to turn to one of sadness. After both had finished telling Willa what had happened, the leader took a deep breath before speaking her next words.
"The entire lair has been turned to stone? What about my sister Nayda and my daughter Leia?"
"I'm afraid that if they were inside the lair then they are also turned into stone." Hachiman replied in his most honest and caring tone.
"This can't be happening." Willa stated as she started to show signs of crying.
"All is not lost Willa." Mandora stated while gesturing to Quick-Pick. "There might be a way to save everyone." Mandora added as Quick-Pick approached with a sparkling bag.
"What….Is that Lion-O's sword?"
"It is, but we need someone who can re-forge the pieces back together. Do you have anyone here that can do the job?"
"I'm afraid not. No one here or for that matter I don't think anyone on Third Earth is an expert on Thundercat knowledge. Even if we did find someone to repair the sword, it probality wouldn't work."
"Why is that?" Quick-Pick asked with some wonder.
"Only someone familiar with Thundercat magic and their technology could repair it."
"I think that I might know someone who could do the job." Quick-Pick stated as all eyes started to look at his direction.
"You do? Who is it?" Willa asked as her sisters started to arrive to help with the Thundercats.
"I've only heard a rumor about this I might add, it might not be true at all." Quick-Pick started to say.
"Tell us right now or I might just book you for being annoying." Willa stated in her most determined tone.
"Well, since you put it that way. On one of my jobs for testing security systems, I came across a museum curator and a rebuild star drive engine. It was so restored that I could have sworn it was just off the assembly line. When I asked the curator about the engine he told me that a smelter/builder was able to take all of the broken parts and re-forged them into a new unit."
"Did he happen to tell you this person's name Quick-Pick?" Wheeler asked with some concern.
"Why yes he did. He told me that the person's name was Char. He also told my employer at the time about one visit to a world populated by cat like people."
"Are you saying that he visited the Thundercats on their home planet?" Willa asked while in a little shock.
"Now I wouldn't say that he visited them. I was told that he detected a broken metal object and when he brought it on board his ship, he also brought on a furry red and white animal with it."
"That must have been Snarf." Willa added.
"Yes, so to continue, Char took the sword and the broken pieces and started to rebuild the sword. By the time he was done, the Sword Of Omens was completely restored and then the fury animal tried to reclaim it."
"Why did Snarf try to reclaim it? It is Thundercat property." Hachiman added.
"Char wanted to keep it for his private collection of rare weapons. Afterwards the sword was struck by lighting and then went back to it's owner with the furry animal in tow. Like I said, it sounded like a rumor that someone started to spread."
"We must contact Char and have him re-forge the Thundercat's sword." Hachiman stated with determination in his tone.
"Well I would love to help, but I don't know where he is right now." Quick-Pick stated in his most honest tone.
"I could try to contact him with the radio transmitter on the Electro-Charger, but I don't know if it has the range." Mandora stated.
"I may have an idea." Willa stated as her sisters started to arrive and tend to the Thundercats.
"Willa, how can we help?" One of her sisters from the tribe asked with determination in her tone.
"Quickly, take the Thundercats to the medical hut and make sure there comfortable. We will join you shortly after that." Willa stated to her sisters.
"Yes ma'am." The sisters stated as they all started to assist the Thundercats.
As Willa and the others continued to have their conversation, they all watch her sisters tend to the Thundercats. As they continued to watch six of the Warrior Maidens came with some old fashioned gurneys made up of cloth and wooden rods. As they continued to secure the gurneys for transport, the other sisters started to unsecure the Thundercats from their rides and place them down on the gurneys for transport. A moment later all of the sisters picked up the gurneys with the Thundercats safely secured inside the fabric.
"Everyone is secured Willa." One of her sisters stated, while waiting for orders.
"Take them to the medical hut and make sure that they are all comfortable. We will join you shortly." Willa replied.
"Right away." The other sister stated as they all started to take the Thundercats inside their home and towards the medical hut.
"Now Willa, before we were interrupted, you said that you had an idea on how to boost my communication's range." Mandora stated with some wonder in her tone.
"Yes. The Thundercats gave us a radio transmitter just in case we needed to contact them for an emergency. Maybe we can use it to boost your comm system's range far enough to reach Char."
"It is worth a try." Mandora stated as Quick-Pick started to return with the comm unit from the Electro-Charger. "Quick-Pick, what do you have there?"
"Why I believe that it is your comm unit from your cycle Mandora." Quick-Pick replied in his most honest tone.
"And would you mind telling me why you have it your hands five seconds after I was talking to Willa."
"I have a feeling that you were going to need it so when the other ladies arrived to take care of the Thundercats, I snuck back to the Electro-Charger and got started on removing the unit. You know your cycle could use a better security program. Anyone could just show up and take what they wanted to."
"Remember that talk we were going to have later on?"
"Yes I remember."
"Consider this a short reminder of that talk to happen once we rejoin the Thundercats."
"::gulp::"
"Alright you two, that is enough of that. We have bigger problems to worry about." Wheeler stated in a much calmly and mean tone.
"Wheeler is right. We have to get in contact with Char right away. So Willa you said something about using your comm system to boost Mandora's system." Hachiman added.
"Yes, but Panthro is better at jury rigging systems together. I'm afraid I wouldn't know what to do." Willa stated in her most concerned tone.
"I believe that I can do that for you." Quick-Pick stated in his most eager tone.
"Quick-Pick, this better not be one of your jokes." Mandora stated while starting to sound angry in her voice.
"My dear Mandora, remember that I am skilled at many things. I can easily boost your comm system to these nice ladies comm system in no time. But first I have to see it, and there is a small matter of my fee."
"I'll tell you what, you get my comm system working enough to contact Char and I won't arrest you for tampering with police property. How is that for a fee?"
"Well since you put it like that, I accept those terms. Let's get to work."
"This way, the comm unit is in the main hut." Willa stated as gestured the rest of the group to follow her.
After Willa's statement, the group started to walk onto the vine elevator, and then waited to be moved up towards the Kingdom of the Warrior Maidens. As the group approached the top of the trees, Willa started to take them towards the main hut first. As they were approaching the hut, Mandora started to fall to her knees once again.
"Mandora! Are you alright?!" Willa yelled as she saw the officer fall to her knees.
"I'm…I'm fine. I'm just feeling a little light-headed, that's all." Mandora replied while trying to get her bearings again.
"Mandora, are you OK?" Wheeler asked as he extended his hand to help.
After a moment, Willa started to react. "Who are you, how dare you attack me." The officer stated while drawing her laser pistol from her belt. "Identify yourself or I will fire."
"Whoa there Mandora." Wheeler started to say while trying to figure out what was going on here. "Put that gun away before you hurt someone."
"I told you to identify yourself or else I will shoot you."
"And injure Willa and the rest of her family. I don't think so. You are an officer of the law, so you can't hurt innocent people. Now put that gun away right now."
"I warned you." Mandora stated as she started to squeeze the trigger on her pistol.
As soon as Mandora started to pull the trigger on her laser weapon, a beam of high intensity energy started to emerge and heading straight towards Wheeler.
"QUICK! GET DOWN!" Willa yelled as she lunged towards Wheeler.
No sooner did Willa start to react, the beam that was intended to hit the Planeteer missed as both Willa and Wheeler as they both started to hit the ground hard.
"Thanks Willa." Wheeler started to say. "What is going on with Mandora? It is like she doesn't remember me."
"We have to stop her before she tries to shoot us again." Willa replied in her most honest and determined tone.
"I could stop her with my ring's power, but I don't want to hurt her."
"You may have no choice."
As Willa was about to add more to her statement, Mandora started to aim her pistol once again at Wheeler and Willa.
"Now I have you." Mandora stated as she was getting ready to fire again.
"Mandora, please forgive me for what I am about to do." Wheeler stated as he started to aim his ring. "Fi-."
"NO WHEELER! DO NOT ATTACK HER!" Hachiman yelled while starting to get in front of both of them. "Let me handle this."
"Get out of the way Hachiman." Mandora started to yell. "I have him in my sights and I am going to kill him."
"Mandora, please calm down." Hachiman stated while going down to his knees right in front of Mandora. "I know you don't want to do this. You must also know that this is wrong."
"Wrong!? He is a murderer. He killed the Thundercats. He must be brought to justice."
"What do you mean by that?"
"He killed the Thundercats, he must pay."
"Mandora, the Thundercats are still alive. Don't you remember? You helped Wheeler and myself secure them so that we can bring them here for help."
"I… I…. Hachiman… What is going on here?" Mandora started to say while trying to get her bearings.
"It is alright Mandora. It is good that you are back. You tried to kill Wheeler and almost shot Willa in the process."
"Wheeler, Willa, I am so sorry for my actions. I am supposed to maintain the peace but I almost went against everything that I believe in. Can you forgive me?"
After Mandora's statement, Wheeler and Willa started to get back to their feet and then started to walk over towards the officer.
"It is alright Mandora, we know it wasn't your fault." Willa stated as Wheeler extended his right hand.
"But do you think that you can explain what just happened?" Wheeler added as Mandora accepted his right hand.
"For the past few moments, I have been experiencing a slight lapse in concentration and memory. I have no explanation for it." Mandora stated as she got back to her feet.
"Mandora, I think I know the reason why this is happening to you." Hachiman stated as all eyes started to turn towards the samurai.
"Care to enlighten us Hachiman?" Wheeler stated as Mandora finally got to her feet.
"It is because you and your friends are here in this time." Hachiman stated with much honesty in his tone.
"How could the Planeteers being here cause the memory problems for Mandora, and why aren't we affected as well?" Willa asked while starting to feel a little confused.
"I didn't want to say anything until I was sure, but Mandora's sudden lapses in memory has confirmed what I was dreading about." Hachiman replied in his most honest tone.
"So, tell us. Why is our presence here affecting Mandora and not everyone else?" Wheeler stated while trying not to show any signs of anger.
"It is because Mandora is a descendant of yourself and your wife Linka." Hachiman replied as he gestured to Wheeler.
"Are you sure?" Quick-Pick stated. "I mean don't get me wrong but Mandora looks nothing like red haired here and his stone wife."
"QUICK-PICK!" Mandora yelled.
"Oops. I did it again. Sorry about that old habits you know."
"We can worry about that later, right now we have to get the radio transmitter working." Hachiman stated while still looking at Wheeler's frozen expression on his face.
"Wheeler, are you OK?" Willa asked as Wheeler started to come to his senses.
"I'm sorry about that. I guess I was a little blown away after hearing what Hachiman said, but he have bigger problems to worry about." Wheeler replied in a much needed stern tone.
"Your right about that." Mandora added as she started to look at Quick-Pick. "Well Quick-Pick, get to work on getting the transmitters working."
"Sure thing Mandora." Quick-Pick stated as he started to work on both devices. "Just don't try to shoot anyone else until I am done. I simply appall violence."
"Just get it done." Hachiman replied. "I'm heading to the medical hut to give the Thundercats the medicine I brought with me."
"I'll go with you Hachiman." Wheeler replied. "I want to make up for leaving them."
"I'm sure that they have no hard feelings about that my friend."
"Thank you. Your words are very kind."
"I am also honored to be with living legends like yourself."
"Please Hachiman, don't tell me or my friends anything about the future. Doing so could cause this timeline to be altered."
"Altered? My friend how could this timeline be altered." Hachiman asked as the duo started to leave the main hut.
"Have you ever heard of a time paradox?"
"A what?"
"Nevermind. To make it simple, any changes done in the past could change the future. If you tell us about stuff that we have done already, then they might not happen at all. Hence a paradox."
"I understand. That is why this is happening to Mandora. So we have to get you back before it happens again."
"But first we had better check on the Thundercats and help them get better."
"A wise decision my young friend." The samurai stated as he started to put his right hand on the Planeteer's left shoulder. "Now let's go see our fallen friends."
"Willa, will you come and get us once Quick-Pick is done?"
"Of course Wheeler." Willa replied as Quick-Pick continued to work with the transmitters under Mandora's watchful eye.
After Wheeler's statement, both he and Hachiman started to leave the main hut and headed straight towards the medical hut where the Thundercats were being cared for. As the approached the medical hut, they both saw four other Warrior Maidens standing next to four makeshift medical tables made of bamboo and leaves. As they both entered the hut, one of the maidens started to speak.
"Hello gentlemen, Willa told us that you were coming here after you went to the Main hut." One of the maidens stated.
"Has there been any change with the Thundercats?" Hachiman asked with much concern for his fallen allies.
"I'm afraid not." The second maiden stated as she joined the group. "We've done our best to make them as comfortable as possible but without proper medication there is nothing we can do."
"Here." Hachiman stated as he started to grab a small vile from his armor's left gauntlet. "Try giving them this. It is an ancient healing vile. Just a few drops every four hours."
"Alright, we'll try it." The first maiden stated as she carefully took the file.
"Remember, a few drops every four hours, and they have to ingest it."
"Got it." The second maiden stated as both maidens went back to the other two to get started.
As the Maidens started to administer the vile, Wheeler started to look a little confused about how the samurai knew about the Planeteers and his relationship with both the Thundercats and the Warrior Maidens.
"Hachiman, may I ask you a question?" Wheeler asked in his most sincere tone.
"Of course my friend, ask away." The samurai replied.
"How do you know the Thundercats and the Warrior Maidens?"
"Why do you want to know that my young friend?"
"I'm just curious about how you all met."
"Let's have a seat and I will tell you everything."
After Hachiman's statement, both himself and the Fire Planeteer saw some bamboo and fur laced chairs on the right side of the hut and started to head towards them. A moment later after they both sat down, the Samurai Shogun started to speak once again.
"My story begins when I was summoned to Mumm-Ra's Dark Pyramid. Once I arrived Mumm-Ra told me about a person with a powerful sword causing problems and destruction through out the land. I then departed his dark home and started my search for him. While I continued my search I encountered two people in the forest, one was a cat like person with red hair and a Amazon type female warrior walking together. As I approached them I started to fall into a trap meant for a killer beast, I was then aided by the two and they helped me out. Afterwards the red headed youth told me his name and I was ready to do battle with him."
"Let me get this straight." Wheeler started to say. "Lion-O saved your life, and then when you found out who he was, you were ready to kill him?"
"I am a Samurai. We live by a code of honor. To defile that code would disgrace all Samurai for many generations."
"I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean to dishonor you."
"You did not my friend. Now as I was saying, when I found out that I was rescued by Lion-O I was ready to draw out my sword. What I didn't take into account was that my sword The Thunder-Cutter would not harm an innocent person or that of a good heart. I also found out that Lion-O's sword lived by that same code of honor. That is when I knew that I was lied to by Mumm-Ra. To make up for it, I helped Lion-O and the Warrior Maidens to setup their early warning system and defend it until it was fully operational. Afterwards that evil mummy tried to send a Ninja, a man with no code of honor to attack and kill us. I was able to defeat him with the help of the Thundercats and that of the Warrior Maidens. We have been friends ever since."
"Thank you."
"For what my young friend?"
"I needed a distraction to keep be from going nuts over what has happened."
"Wheeler my friend, I know from experience that once the Thundercats's sword is repaired, they will be just fine and everyone else will be as well."
"Thank you Hachiman." Wheeler stated as he started to get up off the chair. "I think that we should check in on Willa and the others."
"I agree. We should get going. It will take some time for the medicine to take affect." Hachiman replied as he started to get to his feet as well.
As Hachiman and Wheeler started to get ready to leave the medical hut, outside, a woman was running towards them at top speed. As Wheeler and Hachiman started to emerge from the inside of the hut, the young lady ran right into both of them causing all three of them to hit the ground hard.
"Is everyone alright?" The woman asked while all three was recovering.
"I don't know about you Hachiman, but if I wasn't already married to the woman I love, then I wouldn't mind beautiful ladies crashing and falling onto me." Wheeler stated in a humorous tone.
"Now's not the time for jokes my young friend." Hachiman replied.
"You're right, but I just couldn't resist cause of our situation."
"On that point I guess that it's OK." Hachiman stated as all three started to giggle.
"By the way young lady." Hachiman started to say as all three was getting back to their feet. "Is there a reason that you literally ran right into us?"
"Oh, there is. I almost forgot. Willa sent me to get the two of you. Your green colored friend is finished working on the transmitters." The Warrior Maiden stated.
"If that is the case then we should hurry back." Wheeler stated as Hachiman also started to nod his head.
As Hachiman and Wheeler started to head towards the medical hut, Quick-Pick started to work on the transmitters with Willa and Mandora standing right behind him.
"You know that this is a complicated operation. I would work much faster without the two of you watching my every move." Quick-Pick stated while working on the devices.
"The Thundercats gave us that device and we promised them that nothing bad would come to it." Willa replied.
"Besides, I still don't believe that you can do what you say." Mandora added. "When did you have time to learn anything electronic anyway?"
"My dear Mandora, in order to get my business up and running I had to familiarize myself with the electronics of all type of systems. For research purposes of course."
"Of course." Mandora stated while feeling a slight bit of annoyance in her tone.
"So how much longer will it take?" Willa asked in her most impatient tone.
"I just have to rewire a few of these connections and just hope that they don't burn out while being used." Quick-Pick replied.
"BURN OUT!" Mandora started to yell. "ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT BRIDGING BOTH TRANSMITTERS COULD MAKE THEM EXPLODE?!"
"It is a slight possibility, but it shouldn't happen."
"How sure are you about this?" Willa asked with some concern.
"About thirty percent give or take."
"How about you make sure that there is zero percent." Mandora stated as she started to get out her handcuffs.
"My dear Mandora, what are you doing with those?" Quick-Pick stated as Mandora started to show the handcuffs to Quick-Pick.
"If you don't get it working fine in the next few moments, I will arrest you for destruction of private property. And with your criminal record still on file you can go back to prison."
"Well since you put it like that, I'm almost done with both of them." Quick-Pick stated in his most nervous tone.
"Just make sure that it works. The Thundercats are counting on us to help them."
"Just what I need, more pressure."
"Just get it done."
"Fine, fine, I just have one or two more wires to cross connect and we will be ready to go."
"Willa, can you please have someone get Hachiman and Wheeler back here."
"Sure thing." Willa stated as she gestured to one of her aids to get them.
"Alright, now all I have to do is to connect these wires to the main power supply and we should be ready to go." Quick-Pick stated as he started to make the final connections.
"Are you sure this will work?" Mandora asked with a little confidence in her tone.
"You should know my dear Mandora, that I have no idea until I turn on the unit."
"WHAT!?" Mandora yelled "YOU SAID THAT YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE DOING!"
"I do my dear I do. But I haven't tried bridging Thundercat tech with your tech. So I am a little unsure, but I can safely say that there should be no problems what so ever."
"I hope that you are correct about that." Willa stated.
"The same goes for me as well." Mandora stated in her most demanding tone.
After Willa and Mandora's statements, Wheeler and Hachiman both started to enter the main hut with Willa's aid in tow.
"Here they are ma'am." The aid stated as all three of them entered the hut.
"Thank you." Willa started to say until she saw all three of them starting to limp. "Is everything alright?"
"You could say that she ran into us, literally." Wheeler stated while trying to make it sound like a little humor.
"I believe that it was all of our faults." Hachiman started to say. "We should have been paying attention instead of talking to each other."
"It was my fault as well Willa." The aid started to say. "I shouldn't have been running to get them."
"The important thing is that everyone is alright and that no serious harm was done to any of you." Willa replied.
"Except maybe our pride, but I think that will go away in no time." Wheeler stated as everyone started to laugh a little.
"If everyone is done with the comedy routine, I believe that we have a transmitter to turn on." Quick-Pick stated as everyone else started to stop laughing.
"Alright Quick-Pick, turn it on and lets hope that you have it working." Mandora stated as Quick-Pick started to turn on the transmitter.
A few moments after turning on the transmitter, Quick-Pick handed Mandora her microphone so that she can start to broadcast.
"Here you go Mandora." Quick-Pick stated as he handed Mandora the microphone. "I'll try to modify the signal just in case you get no response."
"Just make sure that it works." Mandora stated as she also started to speak into the mic. "This is officer Mandora, Evil Chaser calling Char. I repeat, this is Officer Mandora calling Char."
Afer a few moments, everyone's eyes were on Quick-Pick as Mandora also started to look and the green alien with a most dissatisfied look on her face.
"I thought you said that you got it working, Quick-Pick." Mandora stated in her most angered tone.
"I did everything correctly. I don't know what went wrong." Quick-Pick replied.
After a moment more, the Fire Planeteer started to take a look at the transmitters to see what went wrong.
"Mind if I take a look at it?" Wheeler asked in his most honest tone.
"This is a complicated piece of equipment my young friend. What do you think you can do that I haven't done already." Quick-Pick retorted.
"Well for starters, it would help if the mic was turned on to begin with." Wheeler stated as he turned on the mic switch.
"Well Quick-Pick." Mandora stated in her most insulted tone.
"Well in my defense all I can say is, oops." Quick-Pick replied as Mandora continued to stare down at the green alien.
"Is the transmitter working this time?" Willa asked.
"It should be working fine this time." Quiick-Pick replied.
"Let's hope so." Mandora added before starting to speak again. "This is Officer Mandora, Evil Chaser calling Char. Come in Char."
After a moment of silence, everyone started to speak at the same time towards Quick-Pick.
"QUICK-PICK!" They all shouted as the radio started to come alive.
After a moment more, a voice started to come through the comm unit.
"Officer Mandora this is Char, how can I assist you today?" The voice spoke from the radio.
"This is an urgent request. I need you to come to Third Earth right away."
"Why do you need me to come to Third Earth Mandora? If you don't mind me asking."
"I need you to come here cause the Thundercats are in need of your help."
"The Thundercats…. Well why didn't you say so before. I owe them for helping become the best business man that I am today. What is the problem that the Thundercats have?"
"Their sword is broken into several pieces and need to be re-forged. Can you fix their sword?"
"Fixing a sword is a snap for me, but I have to ask, how bad is the damage?"
"The hilt is cracked and so is the jewel in the center and the blade as been shattered into millions of pieces."
"The hilt and jewel. Now that is a challenge."
"Can you get here right away? The Thundercats are barely alive and they need the sword fixed."
"I'm setting a course for Third Earth right now."
"How long do you think it will take for you to get here?"
"If I push the engines fast enough, I should be there by mid day tomorrow."
"Just hurry. I don't know if the Thundercats can survive much longer."
"I'm on my way. Char out." Char stated as the radio went dead.
After a moment, Quick-Pick started to speak.
"Well Mandora, what do you have to say now." Quick-Pick stated feeling very pleased with himself.
"Don't be so smug." Mandora retorted back. "Now all we can do is to have hope is that Char will be able to fix the sword and that the Thundercats will survive long enough for him to arrive."
"The medicine I gave Willa's aids in the medical hut should help out, but it is only temporarily." Hachiman stated.
"Willa, is there anything that you and your maidens could do to help out?" Wheeler asked while starting to feel powerless about the situation.
"I don't know." Willa started to say.
"Don't you have any herbs that might help?"
"Yes. I believe we do." Willa stated as she started to gesture to one of her aids. "Give the Thundercats our cure for deep sleep. That might help out as well."
"Yes ma'am." The aid stated as she started to run towards the medical hut.
"Willa, deep sleep?" Wheeler asked in a concerning tone.
"Yes. We have an herb that can help people who has fallen into a deep sleep. It works a lot and it only takes a few hours to a day for it to have a full effect."
"Let's just hope that it does the trick."
"Is something wrong Wheeler?" Willa asked while Mandora and Quick-Pick were wondering the same thing. "You seem distracted for some reason."
"Just can't stop thinking about Linka and the others back at the Lair. I knew that I shouldn't have left them in the first place." Wheeler stated in his most angered and saddened tone.
"Wheeler, there was nothing you could have done for them. If you were there when the attack began, then you would have been turned to stone as well. It was just pure luck that you weren't near the lair when it was attacked."
"I ABADONED EVERYONE WHEN THEY NEEDED ME!" Wheeler started to yell. "AND WHEN I GOT BACK EVERYTHING WAS DESTROYED AND MY FRIENDS WERE TURNED TO STONE!"
"WHEELER, STOP THIS!" Mandora yelled back as she started to approach Wheeler. "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO REMIND YOU THAT EVEN IF YOU WERE THERE, EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED THE SAME WAY!"
"But I." Wheeler started to say until Mandora slapped his right side of his face with her right hand.
"Wheeler….I'm sorry for that." Mandora started in her most sincer tone.
"It's alright Mandora." Wheeler started to say. "I guess that I deserve that. Thanks for bringing me back down to Earth."
"Anytime. Now let's go check on the Thundercats and try to find a place to get some rest. If Char is going to be here by mid day tomorrow, then we are going to need all of our strength."
"My aids will prepare some temporarily quarters for you and your friends." Willa stated as she started to gestured to her aids. "Please prepare some temporary accommodations for all of our guests."
"Yes ma'am." The aids stated as they both started to leave the hut.
"Now let's go check in on the Thundercats and get some rest soon. Tomorrow is going to be a big day once Char gets here." Wheeler stated as they all started to head towards the medical hut.
As the group started to head towards the medical hut, and as Char started to head towards Third Earth at full speed, no one know that deep in his Black Pyramid, Mumm-Ra and his guests are about to launch a plan unlike anything that Third Earth had seen before. The biggest test yet for our friends is about to begin.
