Long ago, before the land was gold, a poor family lived near the coast. A mother and her kid sat outside on the porch. "Look! A shooting star!" the mother exclaimed, pointing at the sky. A young child lifted his head from his book, looking up. "Make a wish Midas~" she continued, smiling down at him. "I wish we weren't poor..." Midas muttered, causing her to sigh. "I'm sorry mom! That's not what I ment," he quickly said, but she just nodded. "I wish that too Midas..." She sniffled, but then she wiped her face and smiled brightly. She started to sing a happy little song, and Midas smiled. The shooting star suddenly changed trajectory, aiming directly for the home. His mother didn't notice it, but Midas did. He watched as it got closer, and he started to panic. But before he could call out to his mom, it slowed down, and the brightness dimmed as it caught her attention, and they both watched it curiously, yet cautiously. The glow faded, and they both gasped in unison.
"Once you take care of them, take them to the ship!" Midas commanded, lifting the golden Zii with a bunch of arms on his back and rushing out, closing the throne behind him. "We gotta go after him!" Kiwi growled, running towards Sir Pulverize with his arms sparking like crazy until Julio pulled him back, narrowly avoiding a clap to his face. "This guy is no joke!" he said, shuddering at the future he just barely avoided. Arlos and Lia took his sides with Julio and Kiwi running at his front. The knight just laughed, jumping right over them and headed right for Kagaku, who was trying to ungold Minx. "Oh hey, thanks for reminding me that guy's in here. I'll be sure to grab him too!" Pulverize cackled, reaching down to crush Kagaku. Lia wrapped her yo-yo around his arm and pulled it back with Arlos' help, and the knight missed. Kagaku quickly doused the golden bunny and Minx blinks as he comes to. "Oh hey Kagaku, me and Lord Midas were just talking about you~" he chuckled before getting pulled back as Sir Pulverize just yanked the others towards them, getting them in a group. Lia got her yo-yo unravelled and tried to go for an attack, but he just caught the weapon in the air. Minx locked in, his face going far more serious as he spins the scissorblades in his hands, and he then charged forward, executing a good few hundred slashes in an instant as he got in behind Sir Pulverize. "You fool! I'm covered in armor!" Pulverize laughed, as his armor started to crack. "Golden armor, which isn't very good," Kagaku said, sticking his pinkie in his nose. All but the guard's helmet fell to the floor, and he was left in his underwear. "You- HOW DARE YOU!! MY ROYAL ARMOR!!" he screamed, slamming the ground hard enough to completely shatter the room's floor and walls, and the roof began to collapse as the castle itself cracked down to the foundation. Sir Pulverize went to attack, but he fell through the floor suddenly.
As Harmony and Akio ran to the castle, something catches her eyes. "Help out the crew! I got this guy!" she commanded, turning towards the dock towards Midas. Akio nodded as he charged ahead to the castle. Harmony stopped at a hill overlooking the dock, and saw Midas carrying Zii onto a ship with a regular wooden base, but everything that could be gold was gold. She cried out as she jumped down, "Hey! Gimme back my mage!" He turned and screamed, scuttling inside and shutting the hatch. Harmony, pissed as hell, grew big enough to just pick it up out of the water. "I was talking to you!" she yelled, ripping the top half right off. Thousands of arms grabbing each other in a net like formation shot up, wrapping the giant captain and throwing her off the ship, causing it to drop back into the water. She saw him run to the wheel, and then she noticed there was two statues; Zii and Kasai. She shrunk down and stretched her arms towards them, grabbing them both. "Hey! That's my money you pirate!" Midas cried out, running back to stop her. She flung towards the ship, and Midas froze in terror as he wasn't thinking that was her plan. Smirking, Harmony snapped back into shape, and used the momentum to smash the greedy king's face in with her heel, knocking the lights and teeth out of him as he fell back. "You bish..." he coughed, wiping his mouth weakly. He slurred his speech, "I am the wielder of the golden touch... And with the Hana Hana Fruit I am unstoppable!" He jumped towards her, hand out to turn her gold as many arms came up to restrain her. She didn't flinch, and with a glare she blasted him with a severe pulse of Conqueror's Haki, and he fell to the floor as the arms faded into flower like petals. "Well, got something out of it~" she chuckled, creating extra arms on her body to test it out before they vanished, and she picked both Kasai and Zii up over her shoulders rather easily, without the Hana power. She jumped as a sudden smash startled her, and looking up she saw the castle beginning to crack. "Ah crud..." she sighed, making a beeline for it still carrying the two.
Kagaku was starting to look malnourished as he created more gold acid, turning the entire golden crowd back. "H-he'll be back! We gotta get these guys outta here!" he called out, and everyone started thinking. Arlos created a room big enough to fill the one they were in, and busted the wall leading outside, and held his arms up as he used it to hold the roof up. The people all seemed confused, but Minx gently explained what happened, and they all ran for the hole in the wall. Kiwi created a bunch of wool clouds that stuck together, making a safe fluffy slide down to the ground outside. Arlos grunted as the supports gave, and he was now the only thing keeping the roof up. "Guys we gotta hurry!" Lia exclaimed to the group, and everyone got to the slide. Kagaku looked back to make sure he got them all, and he turned to the wool before a huge hand ripped through the floor and pulled Kagaku down. Lia was about to run in but Arlos threw her back out with his power as he dove down after them, the roof crumbling over them. "They'll be fine! Let's get away from the castle before it falls completely!" Julio yelled out, getting Kiwi and Lia back on focus.
Sir Pulverize pulled Kagaku through the floors until they reached the bottom floor. He threw him hard, but Kagaku quickly created some soft material that softened the impact. But he was running on fumes, barely able to stand. "If I take out the guy who can degold, I'm sure Midas would appreciate it," he chuckled, before Arlos grabbed him by the leg, effortlessly throwing him behind them. "As the doctor, I'd rather not have to fix all that," he said calmly, glaring daggers at the Royal Guard. Sir Pulverize growled, and clapped a massive shockwave that further damaged the entire castle's supports and knocked both of the pirates back. "Heh, you are tough, but I ate a Devil Fruit that literally made me the strongest!" he exclaimed, rushing towards them and knocking Arlos into Kagaku and throwing them both into the ground. "Now die!" he shouted, slamming a heavy kick towards them. A zip of light shot past, pulling both of them away just in time. "Just in time~" Harmony chuckled as Sir Pulverize tried to attack the three, but Akio caught his hand with black scaled arms. Before he could do anything, Harmony shimmered as she bursted forward, bashing him at lightspeed in the gut. He flew into the last of the solid supports, and everything started shaking. "Get them out!" Akio said, and Harmony zipped back out with the two, placing them next to where she left Kasai and Zii. "Oh, I can fix it... Just gimme-" Kagaku was interrupted by Harmony putting a pear she had in her pocket into his mouth. She turned to get Akio, but a loud thud promted the entire golden castle to crumble down. But Akio burst through the rubble, holding Sir Pulverize as he got out. At the dock, Midas blinked as he sat up, rubbing his head. "Damn girl... she just stole my billion beri I was gonna get..." he looked down at his hands, sighing. "I failed mom... I wasn't able to get rich enough..."
Back when the meteor came down, and the bright glow faded. A rather interesting creature was there, unraveling cloth like wings from around itself. It appeared to have a yellow hat that appeared like a top of a star, with three paper like tags on the three points. "Hewwo!~ I heard you guys have wishes!~ I can grant a single one~" the creature excitedly exclaimed, floating around the pair. "Uh... Well-" the mom started, but Midas grabbed her sleeve. "If we just get money... It'll run out. I have an idea," he said, using the Hana power he already had to lift himself out of his chair. "Star guy. I wish that everything I touched with these hands," he looked at his main arms, clutching his fists, "would turn to gold!" The creature laughed, and floated up into the air. "A simple wish for me~" it said, opening a huge eye on its belly, startling them both before it let out a small cry, and Midas fell back, landing on the chair. It turned to gold. But he wasn't able to control it, and later that night he touched his mom's hand, and watched as she turned to gold right before his eyes. Eventually, he had to sell her for money, but the amount he was given was so incredible, he somehow forgot that was even his mom.
The townsfolk all came out, curious but scared as well. But once Kiwi, Lia, and Julio brought over the ones turned to gold, an uproar came up, celebrating as many families became reunited. A huge party was set up, and they practically begged the Melody Pirates stayed to celebrate. Harmony was going to say no, but they had apple pie. The group of ten, all degolded, sat in a circle laughing amongst each other. "So what'dya say Akio? You wanna join the crew?" Harmony asked, and he looked away as if in thought. Kasai sighed, mostly upset he missed all the action but Kiwi patted his back. "Well hey, what about a ride for old times sake?" he asked, and Kasai smiled. Akio looked up, a rather intense look in his eyes. "Kasai... Are you a zoan user..?" he asked, standing up. Harmony looked worried as Kasai nodded in reply, "I am, why what's up?" Harmony quickly moved as Akio suddenly lashed out, rushing right towards Kasai until she grabbed his wrist; centimeters from Kasai's throat. "Hey! What the hell's gotten into you!?" she cried out, throwing him back and standing between them, facing Akio. "He's a good guy!" she said, but he barked at her, rather angrily. "No zoan stays good! Eventually they'll all turn rabid! Let me kill him!" he demanded, but her look changed from sympathy to serious. "Akio... You owe me a favor don't you?" she asked, and he eased up. "Cleoma Harmony... I'm afraid I cannot join your crew. But I promise you, I will save you from that man when he loses his mind," he stated, pointing at Kasai before walking away, leaving the party all together. "Well that seemed like an overreaction..." Kiwi sighed. Harmony sighed, feeling there was something else behind his reasoning.
