Los Angeles, California. Creed Estate

Mary-Anne was walking through her home, cleaning as she listened to her favorite song played over the intercom when an owl swooped through one of the open windows and into the wall, knocking a nearby painting off the wall.

Sighing, she walked over to the owl and unhooked the letters from its claws before it flew past her head and back out the window.

"My goodness..." she shook her head and looked back down at the letters, ready to read Severus's latest one. Tearing the seal, she opened the letter and began to read, only to drop it in shock a few seconds later.

Her heart pounded as she bent to pick up the letter, her hands trembling. The words swam before her eyes as she reread the lines, trying to make sense of the dire news.

'Dear Severus's Mother,

I hope this letter finds you well. Unfortunately, I must tell you that Severus is currently in the hospital wing. He got into a duel with James Potter and Sirius Black after trying to protect another student, and it went very badly. He's in a magical coma, and I don't know when he will wake up.

Please don't worry too much. Madam Pomfrey is taking good care of him, and I have been by his side every moment. I know he will come out of this stronger, but I wanted you to know what has happened.

With love for your son, Bellatrix Black'

Mary-Anne sank into a nearby chair, the letter clutched tightly in her hands. Tears welled up in her eyes, the overwhelming helplessness crashing over her. Her son, her Severus, was lying in a hospital bed, and she couldn't even be there to hold his hand or comfort him.

She stood abruptly, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. She wouldn't stand for this. Her son needed her, and she would do whatever it took to be there for him. She gathered her resolve and set the letter down carefully on the table, her mind racing with plans.

The last time she tried to visit Severus was in his first year and she was treated horribly, They wouldn't even let her glance at him. So what would happen now? She was still a muggle woman and her son was hurt, but something deep inside her told her that him being hurt wouldn't change a thing.

The frustration and helplessness she felt were overwhelming. Severus needed her, and she was determined to find a way to be by his side.

She paced the room, her mind racing with thoughts of how to get to Hogwarts. She knew it wouldn't be easy; the wizarding world had always been a place where Muggles were treated with suspicion and often disdain. But this was her son, and she couldn't let anything stand in her way.

Just as she felt like giving up, her eyes landed on a photo of Severus and a familiar blonde boy, a boy she tried to push away from her son as he was a rich boy, his family had crazy power and were just rich sno-...wait...Power?

Mary-Anne ran over to a kitchen drawer where Severus kept all the addresses of his friends in case she needed to contact the parents. She started digging through it, trying to remember the boy's name.

M... Ma... Mable?... Mal?... Mal... MALFOY!

She held up the paper in triumph, a smile forming on her face as she rushed over to her desk to write a letter. She was never the type to beg for anything, but this wasn't just anything—this was Severus, her baby boy.

With a shaky hand, she penned the letter:

'Dear Mr. Malfoy,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Mary-Anne Creed, and I am Severus Snape's mother. I am writing to you out of desperation and a deep sense of urgency. My son, Severus, has been gravely injured and is currently in a magical coma at Hogwarts.

Despite my efforts, I have been denied access to see him due to my status as a Muggle. Severus is my only child, and I am heartbroken that I cannot be by his side during this critical time.

I am reaching out to you because I know your family holds considerable influence within the wizarding community. I humbly ask for your assistance in persuading the school authorities to allow me to see my son. I understand the risks and concerns, but as a mother, I cannot bear to be kept away from him any longer.

Please, if there is anything you can do to help, I would be eternally grateful.

Sincerely,
Mary-Anne Snape
'

Mary-Anne sealed the letter, her heart pounding with a mixture of hope and anxiety. She quickly ran out the backdoor, hoping to find something to send the letter. She spotted the owl that had delivered the letter hunting a rat.

She hurried over and grabbed the rat before dangling it in front of the owl. "Hey...Hey...You want this?" she brought the rat a tad bit closer. "If I give it to you...will you deliver this letter to the Malfoys?"

The owl cocked its head, eyeing the rat with interest. Mary-Anne carefully tied the letter to the owl's leg, then released the rat. The owl swooped down, grabbed the rat, and took off into the sky with a hoot, the letter securely fastened.

Mary-Anne watched the owl disappear into the distance, her heart racing. She returned to her house, the waiting game beginning anew. She tried to distract herself with chores, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Severus, lying unconscious in the hospital wing at Hogwarts.

Wiltshire, England. Malfoy Manor

At Malfoy Manor, Abraxas Malfoy sat in the drawing room surrounded by his closest friends and their wives, chatting about various matters when a pop interrupted their conversation. He turned, his eyes locking on a house elf with an owl perched on its head.

"A letter has arrived for you, Lord Malfoy," the elf announced. The owl shook its wings, causing the elf to shriek in surprise. Abraxas held out his hand to take the letter, his curiosity piqued.

He examined the seal and noticed it wasn't from a usual correspondent. "Interesting," he murmured, breaking the seal and unfolding the parchment. As he read the clearly muggle, his expression shifted from curiosity to seriousness.

The room quieted as everyone sensed the change in his demeanor. "It appears we have an urgent matter," Abraxas announced, his voice commanding attention. "This letter is from a 'Mary-Anne Creed', the mother of one 'Severus' She's pleading for help to see her son, who is in a critical condition at Hogwarts."

Cygnus, who had been leaning against the mantel, straightened up as his eyes darted to his wife. "Druella, isn't that the name of the boy is Bellatrix's diary?" Druella's eyes widened in shock as she nodded.

"Yes, he's the boy she's so smitten by." across the room, sitting on the couch, Phineas snorted at Druella's words.

"Our dear Bellatrix is smitten by a boy?" He let out a loud laugh. "Poor boy, no wonder he's in a coma." Cygnus reached over and smacked his brother in the back of the head. Phineas grumbled, rubbing the back of his head. "What? I'm just saying, it's not every day you hear about Bellatrix being 'smitten' with anyone."

"Enough, Phineas," Abraxas said sternly, folding the letter with precision. "This is a serious matter. If Bellatrix cares for this boy, then we must ensure he receives the care he needs."

Druella nodded, her expression firm. "Severus is important to Bellatrix, and that makes him important to us. We can't ignore this plea for help."

Abraxas stood, his decision made. "I will write to Dumbledore and ensure that Mary-Anne is granted access to see her son." As he made his way to stand, Idris Mucliber, who had been drowning bottles of fire whiskey, suddenly piped up.

"You actually think Dumbles will listen to you?" Arbaxas stopped mid-step and turned to face Idris. "What?"

"I'm just saying, but, That old bat doesn't listen to hippogryph shit, mostly Slytherins." He tilted the empty bottle back, trying to get the last drop before giving up. "I mean, when's the last time he listened to your tight ass? Never!"

He shot Phineas and Arcturus warning glares as they both started laughing at him being called a 'tight ass'.

Abraxas's jaw tightened, his gaze hardening as he turned to address Idris. "Regardless of Dumbledore's tendencies, Severus needs his mother. I will not let a personal grudge or House rivalry stand in the way of a mother's right to see her son."

Idris shrugged, the effects of the firewhiskey making him careless. "Good luck with that. Dumbledore's as stubborn as they come."

Ignoring Idris's cynicism, Abraxas turned back to the house elf. "Ensure everything is prepared for Mrs. Creed's journey. If Dumbledore refuses, we will find another way."

Hogwarts, Hospital Wing

Bellatrix cursed as she got her fingers tangled in Severus's hair for the third time.

She had been trying new hairstyles on him for the past hour, hoping it would take her mind off the fact he was still in the coma. Just as she re-started the braid she messed up again, a hand gripped her wrist, a hand she knew all too well.

Her eyes snapped down to Severus's face only to find his eyes open, staring up at her from her lap where his head was resting.

"S...Severus?"

She stared is his eyes, noting the hints of amusement. "You're pulling too hard.." His voice was grave yet still held a trace of the familiar sarcasm she'd always known. Bellatrix felt a mix of joy and frustration.

"Sevy! You're back!" She released his hair, her heart racing, but he merely chuckled weakly as she gently gripped his face in her hands.

"Bella, you crying for me?" His smirk faded quickly, and Bellatrix's joy morphed into anxiety as she noticed his breathing becoming shallow.

"Severus… stay with me," she urged, feeling the weight of his head shift on her lap. The faint glimmer in his eyes dimmed, and the warmth slipped away like sand through her fingers.

"B-Bellatrix…" he gasped, his voice strained.

Before she could respond, his eyes fluttered, a storm of emotions crossing his features, and she felt a familiar fear creeping in.

"Don't you dare! Not again!" she shouted, gripping his shoulders as if to anchor him to reality. But he was slipping, shadows creeping into his gaze.

"Severus! Please, fight!" She felt tears stinging her eyes, desperation clawing at her throat as his body trembled violently.

With a final gasp, his eyes rolled back slightly, the spark extinguished as he slumped deeper into her embrace. Bellatrix's heart sank as she realized he was fading again, the life force that had flickered so brightly now extinguished.

"Severus!" she cried, shaking him gently, but there was no response. Just silence.

Her hands trembled as she felt the coldness seep into his skin, the weight of the reality crashing over her like a tidal wave. He was back in the coma, and she was once again left alone in the abyss.

"What happened?" She turned as Madam Pomfery rushed over out of breath but she couldn't reply, all she could do was let herself fall onto the ground and cry her heart out.

Madam Pomfrey's face turned pale as she took in the scene. "Bellatrix, what happened?" she urged again, kneeling beside her, her eyes darting between Bellatrix's tear-streaked face and Severus's still form.

"I—I don't know!" Bellatrix gasped, her voice muffled against his hand she still gripped. "He was awake, and then… he just slipped away again!" Her sobs echoed in the quiet hospital wing, the reality of their situation crushing her spirit.

Madam Pomfrey placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, her expression shifting from urgency to empathy. "We need to act quickly. He's not stable. We could lose him."

With deft movements, she conjured a few potions and began checking Severus's vitals. Bellatrix felt a pang of helplessness watching the woman work, knowing that no matter what she did, it might not be enough.

"Severus, please…" she whispered, desperate for a sign of life, for him to hear her. She brushed a trembling hand over his forehead, feeling the chill that seemed to envelop him.

"Please..."
