The Last of the Time Lords

Over the next year, The Master treated me and my adopted family well. He gave us a large suite to stay in and access to all the amenities on board, which made it almost like a cruse ship. He told me that he help design the Valiant and since he knew he would be staying onboard once he took over he wanted him and Aunt Lucy to be comfortable. Honestly, if we weren't being held against our will, we might have enjoyed ourselves.

Though we were being treated well, I couldn't say the same about the others. After, The Master discovered Martha's disappearance he was furious, and he wanted to kill the Jones family to make The Doctor talk but I convinced him not to. I told him there was enough killing below us, did we really need to add 3 more. He agreed, so instead he made Mrs. Jones and Tish into our personal servants and put Mr. Jones on the maintenance crew. Because Jack couldn't be killed, The Master thought he was to dangerous to his plans so he was taken to a room in the back and chained up. The Doctor was given a tent to sleep in in the conference room/bridge.

It was a rough year, but there was one bright spot… Jack. Over that year Jack and I started to become very close. Every day we would talk, he would tell me stories of his adventures as a Time Agent and his time living during the 20th century. Then, I would tell him about living on Gallifrey and the crazy stuff that happened to me and my adopted family while I was living my second childhood. As we talked, we started to fall in love and on the six month anniversary of our captivity, we shared our first kiss. I told my mom and dad about what was going on with me and Jack. They weren't very happy at first but then I explained to them about what happened to Jack. I also told them that he was 179 and I was 194. After learning the facts they were a bit more receptive to us being together.

It was one year to the day that The Master took over, The Doctor and I were talking in the conference room/bridge when we heard The Master's voice over the speakers, "Citizens rejoice. Your lord and master stands on high playing Track 3." Then, 'I Can't Decide' by Scissor Sisters started to play as The Master and Aunt Lucy walked into the room. He gave her a long kiss, before sitting in one of the chairs at the conference table and spun, Mrs. Jones served him tea. The Master then ran up onto the bridge and begins ringing an old-fashioned ship's bell. Then he came back down to the table and pull The Doctor away from the table and pushed him around the room.

They ended up one of the windows and, "It's ready to rise, Doctor. The new Time Lord Empire." I got up and walked over to them as The Master continued, "It's good, isn't it? Isn't it good? Anything? No? Anything?" He waved his hand in front of The Doctor's face, "Oh, but they broke your hearts, didn't they? Those Toclafane, ever since you worked out what they really are." I closed my eyes. The Doctor's hearts weren't the only ones that broke that day, "They say Martha Jones…has come back home. Now why would she do that?"

"Leave her alone," I said.

The Master looked at me "But he said something to her," He looked back at The Doctor, "Didn't you, Doctor?" "On the day I took control. What did you tell her?"

"I have one thing to say to you. You know what it is," said The Doctor.

"Oh, no you don't!" He pushed The Doctor's chair back to the table, "Valiant now entering Zone One airspace. Citizens rejoice." The Master clapped his hands, "Come on, people! What are we doing? Launch Day in 24 hours!"

I walked out of the room and headed to my room. As I walked I saw Tish carrying a bowl of cold mashed rutabaga to Jack's Room. I smiled at her, "Good Morning, Tish…"

She didn't even look at me as she said, "Morning, Miss Duncan…" I frowned a little, The Jones family wasn't too happy about the treatment that me and my family were receiving. I decided not to press the issue and just head back to my room.

It was around 3 PM, I was reading in my room, when all of the sudden I heard on the P.A. "Condition red! Repeat: Condition red!"

I ran out of my room and saw my adopted family, "What's going on, Teddy," asked Mom.

"I don't know… I'll go find out…" I said.

It wasn't a very long walk to the bridge. When I got inside I saw The Doctor holding The Master's laser screwdriver and pointing it at The Master who was standing at the top of the stairs. Mrs. Jones and Tish were in the room as well. The Doctor tried using it but nothing happened, The Master smiled, "Isomorphic controls." he took the screwdriver back and backhanded The Doctor sending him to the floor. I rushed over to my fallen uncle, "Which means they only work for me. Like this." He shot the wall beside Mrs. Jones, "Say sorry!"

"Sorry. Sorry. Sorry!" shouted Mrs. Jones.

"Mum!" said Tish, as she ran to her.

"Didn't you learn anything from the blessed Saint Martha?" He said as he walked down the steps. Aunt Lucy ran over, to him picked up his jacked and helped put it on him. "Siding with the Doctor is a very dangerous thing to do. Take them away."

A guard came over and escorted the two of them out of the room, "Move! Come on."

"Did you have anything to do with this?" The Master looked at me.

"No, Uncle," I said, "I swear. I was just in my room reading…"

The Master looked at me and nodded, "Okay." he lifted The Doctor up off the floor and into a chair. "There you go, Gramps." he sat on the edge of the table, "Oh, do you know, I remember the days when The Doctor, oh, that famous Doctor, was waging a time war. Battling Sea Devils and Axons. He sealed the rift at the Medusa Cascade single-handed. Ooh. And look at him now. Stealing screwdrivers. How did he ever come to this? Oh yeah. Me!" Then he laughed. I rolled my eyes.

"I just need you to listen," said The Doctor.

"No, it's my turn. Revenge! Best served hot. And this time… It's a message for Miss Jones."

I walked out of the room and headed for Jack's room. I wanted answers and I knew who I need to talk to get them. I walked in the room and Jack smiled at me, "There's my Teddy Bear…" Like normal his wrist were manacled, his arms outstretched, and the chains were attached to the wall on either side of him. He took a deep breath, "Ah, smell that sea air. Makes me long for good old fish and chips." He laughed, "But, what do I get? Cold mashed swede, Three times a day. Some hotel. Last time I book over the Internet." I just glared at him, "What's wrong?"

"I think you know what's wrong? What have I told you about escape attempts?"

"You've got to believe me, Teddy," said Jack, "We calculated the odds of this succeeding versus the odds we were doing something incredibly stupid, and we went ahead anyway." I shook my head and rolled eyes, "Forgive me?" he asked.

"Yes…" I said with a smile I walked up to him got up on my tip toes and kissed him, "I forgive you… But, only because Martha is back in England…"

"She is?" he asked.

I nodded, "I heard The Master tell The Doctor earlier."

We heard the monitor in Jack room come to life and the master came on screen, "My people. Salutations on this, the eve of war. Lovely woman. But I know there's all sorts of whispers down there. Stories of a child, walking the Earth, giving you hope." he walked to stand beside The Doctor, "But I ask you…how much hope has this man got? Say hello, Gandalf. Except he's not that old but he's an alien with a much greater lifespan than you stunted, little apes. What if it showed? What if I suspend your capacity to regenerate? All 900 years of your life, Doctor. What if we could see them?" The Doctor writhed in agony as The Master used the screwdriver on him again. I turned and pressed myself against Jack's body, I wished he could have hugged me at that moment… I could really use one from him then, "Older and older and older. Down you go, Doctor. Down, down, down you go." Then there was silence. I turned and saw The Master look down a the foor, "Doctor." He bent down and I saw the pile of The Doctor's clothes lying on the floor, empty. Then , up by the neck, a large domed head peers out and looked up at The Master. The Master then walked back to the camera and looked into it, "Received and understood, Miss Jones?" Then the screen went dark.

"I'm sorry, Teddy Bear…" said Jack.

"He's still alive though…" I said, as I looked up at him with a smile.

After dinner that night I went into the bridge area to check on The Doctor. The Master had put him in a large birdcage and gave him what looked like brown pinstriped pajamas to wear. The Doctor smiled when he saw me, "Teddy." he said in a raspy voice.

I slowly walked up to him, "Hi… How are you doing?"

"I'm OK… I hope you weren't too hard on Jack… It wasn't his idea…"

I smiled. "I know… We'll be okay…"

Just then the door slid open and The Master and Aunt Lucy walked into the room, with her clinging onto The Master's arm, "Tomorrow, they launch. We're opening up a rift in the Braccatolian space. They won't see us coming. Kinda scary."

"Then stop," I said.

The Master started to walk to us, "Once the empire is established and there's a new Gallifrey in the heavens, maybe then… it stops." He walked up to the cage and looked at The Doctor through the bars, "The drumming. The never-ending drumbeat. Ever since I was a child. I looked into the vortex. That's when it chose me. The drumming, the call to war. Can't you hear it? Listen, it's there now. Right now. Tell me you can hear it, Doctor. Tell me."

"It's only you," said The Doctor.

Then, The Master looked at me, "How about you, Theodora? Can you hear it?"

I shook my head, "No…"

"Good."

The Door slid open and a sphere enterd the room and landed on a pole that rose out of the center of the conference table, "Tomorrow, the war. Tomorrow we rise. Never to fall."

"You see? I'm doing it for them! You should be grateful! After all, you both love them. So very, very much." I looked down and thought about the spheres what they really where… The final evolution of mankind… "I took Lucy to Utopia," said The Master, "A Time Lord and his human companion. I took her to see the stars. Isn't that right, sweetheart?"

"Trillions of years into the future. To the end of the universe," said Aunt Lucy.

"Tell him what you saw."

"Dying. Everything dying. The whole of creation was falling apart. And I thought…there's no point. No point to anything. Not ever."

"And it's all your fault. You both should have seen it. Furnaces, burning. The last of humanity screaming at the dark. All that human invention that had sustained them across the eons. It all turned inwards. They cannibalized themselves."

"We made ourselves so pretty," said the sphere on the table.

"Regressing into children. But it didn't work. The universe was collapsing around them." said The Master, "My masterpiece, Doctor. A living TARDIS, strong enough to hold the paradox in place, allowing the past and the future to collide in infinite majesty."

"But you're changing history," I said, "Not just Earth, the entire universe."

"I'm a Time Lord. I have that right," said The Master.

"But even then, why come all this way just to destroy?" asked The Doctor.

"We've come backwards in time to build a brand new empire lasting 100 trillion years," said the sphere.

"With me as their master. Time Lord and humans combined. Haven't you always dreamt of that, Doctor? I know Teddy has…" He smirked. I looked at the Master with disgust. The Master got up and walked to the cage and looked at The Doctor in the eye, "Human race. Greatest monster of them all." Then he walked to Aunt Lucy. Turned back to us and smiled, "Night-night." He walked out with his arm around her and the sphere followed them.

The next day, those of us aboard the Valiant were given word… Martha Jones was found hiding a slave house in London. That morning, me and my family were escorted into conference room. The Jones family was on one side of the room. The Doctor was in his cage at the base of the stairs. On the other side was Jack, unchained, with his hand in his pockets. He smiled at me and I smiled back as we were escorted to his side. I walked up to him and he hugged me for the first time. It was just as good as I thought it would be.

"Citizens of Earth, rejoice and observe," said The Master as he and Aunt Lucy stood on the bridge. Then the door to the conference room opened and two guards escorted Martha in. She walked toward the front of the room alone, she looked to her family, then to me and Jack. I'm sure she must have been a bit confused when she saw how close Jack and I were standing to each other. I smiled and she smiled back. Then she reached base of the stairs. "Your teleport device," said The Master, "In case your thought I'd forgotten." she reached into a pocket in her pants and threw him the manipulator, "And now…kneel." she does as she is told, "Down below, the fleet is ready to launch. Two hundred thousand ships set to burn across the universe." He walked over to the comm. Link, "Are we ready?"

"The fleet awaits your signal. Rejoice!" said the man on the link.

"Three minutes to align the black hole converters. Counting down!" said The Master. A clock on the wall started to count down the seconds, "I never could resist a ticking clock. My children, are you ready?"

"We will fly and blaze and slice! We will fly and blaze and slice!" said the spheres.

"At zero, to mark this day, the child, Martha Jones, will die. Ha, my first blood. Ha, any last words? No?" The Master looked at The Doctor, "Such a disappointment, this one. Days of old, Doctor, you had companions who could absorb the time vortex. This one's useless!" He turned to Martha, "Bow your head," She did and I continued, "And so it falls to me, the Master of all, to establish from this day, a new order of Time Lords! From this day forward—" Martha started to chuckle

I couldn't hold it in any longer… I started to laugh as well, My mom was horrified, "Teddy…" she whispered.

"What? What's so funny?" asked The Master.

"It's just…" I laughed, "A gun?"

"What about it?"

"A gun in four parts?"

"Yes, and I destroyed it."

"A gun in four parts scattered across the world? I mean, come on. Did you really believe that?" asked Martha.

"What do you mean?" asked The Master.

"As if I would ask her to kill," said The Doctor.

"Oh, well, it doesn't matter. I've got her exactly where I want her."

"But I knew what Professor Docherty would do," said Martha, "The Resistance knew about her son. I told her about the gun, so she'd get me here. At the right time."

"Oh, but you're still gonna die!" said The Master.

"Don't you wanna know what I was doing? Travelling the world?"

"Tell me."

"I told a story, that's all. No weapons, just words. I did just what the Doctor said. I went across the continents all on my own. And everywhere I went, I found the people, and I told them my story. I told them about the Doctor. And I told them to pass it on, to spread the word so that everyone would know about the Doctor."

"Faith and hope? Is that all?"

"No, 'cause I gave them an instruction. Just as the Doctor said. I told them that if everyone thinks of one word, at one specific time—"

"Nothing will happen! Is that your weapon?! Prayer?!"

"Right across the world. One word, just one thought, at one moment… but with 15 satellites!"

"What?"

"The Archangel Network," said Jack.

"A telepathic field binding the whole human race together," I said.

"With all of them, every single person on Earth, thinking the same thing at the same time," said Martha, "And that word…is Doctor."

The countdown reached zero and a glowing field of energy surrounded The Doctor dissolving the cage around him. "Stop it." shouted The Master, "No, no, no, no, you don't!"

I closed my eyes, "Doctor."

Jack closed his eyes, "Doctor."

Mom closed her eyes, "Doctor."

Dad closed his eyes, "Doctor."

Charlie closed her eyes, "Doctor."

P.J. closed his eyes, "Doctor."

Gabe closed his eyes, "Doctor."

Toby closed his eyes, "Doctor."

Mrs. Jones closed her eyes, "Doctor."

Tish closed her eyes, "Doctor."

Mr. Jones closed his eyes, "Doctor."

"Do—" said The Master.

I opened my eyes and saw the large plasma screens on the wall showing crouds of people across the world gathering in public places all chanting, "Doctor."

"Stop this right now! Stop it!" shouted the Master.

Aunt Lucy closed her eyes, "Doctor."

"Doctor," I said.

"Doctor," said Jack.

"Doctor," said Martha.

The Doctor was still surrounded by an energy field and had become a full sized old man again dressed in his normal suit, "I've had a whole year to tune myself into the psychic network and integrate with its matrices."

"I order you to stop!" shouted the Master.

The Doctor then slowly returned to his normal self and I smiled, I could feel tears of joy welling up in my eyes, "The one thing you can't do. Stop them thinking." Martha, Jack and I laughed as The Master stood shocked, at the landing halfway between the conference room and the bridge. Then, The Doctor used the power of the field to levitate, and he said, "Tell me the human race is degenerate now when they can do this."

Martha got up and ran to her family. "No!" shouted The Master as he fired his laser at The Doctor but the field deflected it.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." said The Doctor.

"Then I'll kill them!" Shouted The Master. He aimed the laser screwdriver at The Jones family, but The Doctor used the power of the field to knock it from his hands and send it across the room. The Master started to panic, "You can't do this! You can't do—It's not fair!"

"And you know what happens now," said The Doctor.

"No!" shouted The Master as The Doctor started to float toward him. He backed away from him down the stairs, "No! No! No!"

"You wouldn't listen."

"No!"

"Because you know what I'm going to say."

"No!" said The Master as he curled into the fetal position.

'Teddy…' said The Doctor telepathically as he landed. I made my way over to my uncles. Once The Doctor's feet were on the floor the energy field dissipated. The Doctor and I walked over to The Master who was cowering from us. We knelt down and wrapped our arms around him, "I forgive you." said The Doctor.

"I forgive you, too, Uncle," I said.

"My children!" shouted The Master, "Protect the paradox!"

"Protect the paradox! Protect the paradox! Protect the paradox!" we heard the spheres call out.

The Doctor and I scrambled to our feet, "Jack!" I shouted, "The paradox machine!"

"You men!" said Jack, "With me!" with The Master control broken the men followed Jack with no hesitation.

Just then I turned and saw The Master pull out the Vortex Manipulator and got ready to use it, "No!" shouted The Doctor. We ran over to The Master and put our hands on it and we materialize on a rocky cliff over looking row after row of rockets ready to launch.

The Master spread his arms, "Now it ends, Doctor." Thunder rolled, "Now it ends."

"We've got control of the Valiant," I said, "You can't launch."

"Oh, but I've got this," said The Master as he held up a small device, "Black hole converter inside every ship. If I can't have this world, Doctor, then neither can you. We shall stand upon this Earth, together, as it burns!"

"Weapon after weapon after weapon," said The Doctor, "All you do is talk and talk and talk. But over all these years…and all these disasters, I've always had the greatest secret of them all. I know you. Explode those ships, you kill yourself. That's the one thing you can never do." He held out his hand, "Give that to me." The Master then slapped the device into his hand. The ground shook and the three of us fought for control of the manipulator, The Doctor won and took us back to the Valiant.

When we landed Martha fell into The Doctor's arms, "Everyone down! Time is reversing!" he shouted. We fell to the floor and Martha, The Doctor and I laid face-to-face with each other and we laughed with glee.

It only took a minute or two for time to reset itself but it was one hell of a ride. As soon as everything calmed down, The Doctor and I jumped up and started to check the controls, "The paradox is broken," said The Doctor, "We've reverted back, one year and one day. Two minutes past 8:00 in the morning."

"This is UNIT Central," said a voice over the comm., "What's happened up there? We just saw the President assassinated!"

"Just after the President was killed," I said, "but just before the spheres arrived. Everything back to normal. Planet Earth restored. None of it happened. The rockets, the terror. It never was."

"What about the spheres?" asked Martha.

"Trapped at the end of the universe." said The Doctor.

"But I remember it," said Mom.

"We're at the eye of the storm. The only ones who'll ever know.
The Doctor looked at Mr. Jones, "Oh, hello! You must be Mr. Jones! We haven't actually met."

The Master tried to make a break for it. Dad, P.J. and Gabe ran after him but when the doors opened Jack was on the other side, "Whoa, big fella! You don't want to miss the party." I smiled and started to run to Jack. Jack looked at the guard next to the door, "Cuffs." He cuffed The Master's hands behind his back and passed him off to my Dad as I reached him. I gave Jack a big hug and a kiss and he reciprocated.

"So, what do we do with this one?" asked Dad, as he held on to The Master.

"We kill him," said Mr. Jones.

"We execute him," said Tish.

"No, that's not the solution," I said.

"He's our responsibility from now on," said The Doctor as he walked over to us, "The only Time Lords left in existence."

"Yeah, but you can't trust him," said Jack.

"No we can't," I said.

"The only safe place for him is the TARDIS," said The Doctor.

"You mean you're just gonna…keep me?" said The Master.

"If that's what I have to do," I said.

"It's time to change," said The Doctor, "Maybe I've been wandering for too long. Now I'll have someone to care for."

Then a gunshot rang out and The Master staggered backwards. I look behind me and saw Lucy holding a gun. Jack went to her while The Doctor and I went to The Master, "Put it down," said Jack as he took the gun from her.

The Doctor grabbed The Master as he fell, "There you go. I've got you. I've got you." He gently lowered him to the floor and held him in his arms while I knelt on the other side.

"Always the women," said The Master.

"I didn't see her," said The Doctor.

"Neither did I," I said.

"Dying in your arms. Happy now?" asked The Master.

"You're not dying, don't be stupid," I said, "It's only a bullet. Just regenerate."

"No."

"One little bullet. Come on," said The Doctor.

"I guess you don't know me so well. I refuse," said The Master.

I could feel the tears form in my eyes. I was never that close to The Master but still he was another Time Lord… he was family… my voice cracked, "Regenerate. Just regenerate. Please!"

"Please!" begged The Doctor, "Just regenerate! Come on!

"And spend the rest of my life imprisoned with you?" asked The Master.

"You've got to. Come on. It can't end like this," said The Doctor as tears started to fall from his eyes, "You and me, all the things we've done. Axons? Remember the Axons? And the Daleks? We're the only three left, there's no one else. Regenerate!"

"How about that? I win." said The Master as he smiled, "Will it stop, Doctor? The drumming. Will it stop?" Then, he gasped his last breath and closed his eyes. Jack came over to me and crouched down next to me, I hugged him and cried into his shoulder as The Doctor held onto The Master, screamed and cried..

Later that night, Jack, Dad, P.J., and Gabe helped The Doctor and I prepare The Master's funeral pyre. When Jack asked why we had to burn the Master's body, I told him that a Time Lord's body is a miracle. Even a dead one. There are whole empires out there who'd rip this world apart for just one cell. We couldn't just leave him anywhere, we had to do this.

Once it was ready, The Doctor and I each carried a torch to the pyre and lit the stack of logs on fire. Once it was done we walked away. The next day we headed to Cardiff to take Jack back to Torchwood. Jack, The Doctor, Martha, and I looked out over the bay.

"Time was, every single one of these people knew your name. Now they've all forgotten you," Said Martha.

"Good," said The Doctor.

"Back to work," said Jack, as he started to leave.

"Please Jack…" I said, "Come with us."

"I really don't mind, though," said my uncle.

Jack looked at me, "As much as would love to, during that past year, the Year That Never Was. When I wasn't thinking of Teddy," He looked at me and I blushed, "I was thinking about that team of mine. Like you said, Doctor, responsibility."

"Defending the Earth. Can't argue with that," said The Doctor. I nodded.

I went up to Jack and I gave him a hug, "I love you, Teddy Bear." said Jack.

"I love you too, Jack." I said.

After we hugged, The Doctor made like he was going to shake Jack's hand but he uncovered the manipulator, "Hey, I need that!" said Jack.

"We can't have you walking around with a time-traveling teleport," said The Doctor as he used his sonic screwdriver to disable the time travel and teleport functions of the Manipulator.

"You could go anywhere—twice," I said The second time to apologize."

Jack looked at me and smiled, "And what about me? Can you fix that? Will I ever be able to die?"

"Nothing we can do," said The Doctor.

"Why would I want you to die anyway?" I smiled, "You're an impossible thing, Jack."

Jack laughed, "Been called that before." he started to turn to salute us, "Sir. Ma'am. My Lady." He turned to leave again but he stopped, "But I keep wondering…what about aging? 'Cause I can't die but I keep getting older. The odd little grey hair, you know? What happens if I live for a million years?"

"I really don't know," said The Doctor with a smile.

Jack chucked, "Okay, vanity. Sorry. Yeah, can't help it. Used to be a poster boy when I was a kid back on the Boeshane Peninsula. Tiny little place. I was the first one ever to be signed up for the Time Agency. They were so proud of me. They Face of Boe they called me." My eyes got big. In that whole year we talked we never talked about where Jack grew up, "Hmm, I'll see you." We just stood there and watched as Jack ran across the Plas.

"Can't be," said Martha.

"No, definitely not. No." said The Doctor. I thought about The Face of Boe and then Jack and then I started to laugh, Martha laughed, "No." said my uncle as he joined us in our laughter.

Our next stop was at the Jones family home. We watched from outside as we saw Leo back with his family. Mrs. Jones looked out at us and gave us a little nod. We both smiled and headed inside. I tossed my fedora onto the hat rack while the Doctor threw his coat across one of the y-beams. We looked around the console room and was glad to see that it was back to normal. We could hear the sounds of my adopted family hanging out by pool in the TARDIS, I wanted to give them a little treat before we took them back to Denver. We made our way over to the captain's chair and sat down. The Doctor put his feet up on the console and wrapped his arm around me, while I put my head on his shoulder. A short time later Martha came in. The Doctor and I peered around the time rotor, "Right then!" said The Doctor as he got up and got the TARDIS ready for departure, "Off we go! We've got to make one more stop to drop off Teddy's family then its the open road!"

"There is a burst of starfire right now over the coast of Meta Sigmafolio. The sky is like oil on water. You'd Love it…" I said as I stood.

"Or…back in time. We could…I don't know, Charles II? Henry VIII? I know! What about Agatha Christie?"

"I'd love to meet Agatha Christie," I said.

"I bet she's brilliant!" said The Doctor. Then, we looked at Martha I looked and saw Martha wasn't smiling, "Okay."

"I just can't." said Martha.

"Yeah," said The Doctor.

"Spent all these years training to be a doctor. Now I've got people to look after. They saw half the planet slaughtered and they're devastated. I can't leave them."

"Of course not," he said. We just looked back and forth for several seconds and The Doctor and I smiled, "Thank you." He said. Then we all shared a group hug.

"Martha Jones, you saved the world." I said.

"Yes, I did," said Martha, "I spent a lot of time with you two thinking I was second best. But you know what? I am good." She smiled, "You two gonna be all right?

"Always," said The Doctor, as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I wrapped my arm around him "As long as we've got each other."

"Right then, "she kissed him on the cheek and gave me a little hug. She started to walk away but she turned back around, "Oh, I almost forgot. She reached into her jacket pocket and tossed me her cell phone, "Keep that. 'Cause I'm not having either of you disappear. If that rings, when that rings, you better come running. Got it?"

"Got it," I said, with a smile.

"I'll see you two again…" she said. Then she walked out of the front doors.

We started to prepare the TARDIS for take off when Mom and Dad walked in. I smiled, "So everyone ready to head home?" I asked.

"Yeah," said Mom, "But, It's going to be hard to get Gabe and P.J. to leave." I laughed a little, "Where's Martha?" asked Mom.

"She wanted to stay with her family," said The Doctor, "So… Fancy a trip before we drop you off?" he asked with a smiled.

"I don't think so, Doctor," said Dad, "Maybe another time."

"All right," said The Doctor… "Then let's get you home…"

The Doctor and I started up the TARDIS. It seemed to be a nice smooth flight, The Doctor flipped a switch on the console when we heard a ship's horn behind us. Then, something crashed into the TARDIS throwing us all to the floor, "Mom? Dad? Are you all right?" I asked.

"Yeah," said Mom, "I'm fine."

Dad coughed, "What happened?"

"I'm not sure," said The Doctor, as he turned to see what hit us, "What?!" Then he coughed.

I turned to see what he was looking at and my eyes went big when I saw bow of an ocean liner sticking through the wall, "What?!" I said.

I saw a life preserver on the floor of the console room, I turned it over and it read, "TITANIC"

"What?" said the four of us together…
