Hello, everyone. Sorry for the long wait, but this chapter turned out to be the longest ever. That and this chapter also introduces a bunch of OCs made by ARC2503, Krueger and his APEX group, as well as an OC named Dimitri.

Enjoy

Hazbin Hotel: Hellish Misfits

Ch9: Scrambled Eggs & Secrets

V Tower HQ
R&D Basement Level (aka Vergil's Sector)

Vergil was currently overseeing his own projects, while also working on the Angel Defense Tech that Vox had put him in 24-hour charge of. He had managed to come up with some pretty nifty gadgets and weapons. However, they are all still in beta testing at the moment, without much needed proof that they could be effective.

He currently stood on a hover platform with several blue holo-screens around them. So far the weapons have been effective in theory. But they were missing one important factor, aside from Angelic Steel... which was harder to come by and just as hard to synthesize.

He felt his arm beep in a ringtone meaning it's the leader of the group asking for a Progress report.

He sighed, as he looked more annoyed than happy. It wasn't any mystery that he found Vox's persistence for his attention and progress vastly annoying. In honestly, it was something he looked forward to getting away from when his plan came to full fold. He tapped left forearm, as a blue screen showing Vox's face, literally the screen, pop-up, as he asked, "Vox? Something wrong?"

"You know what's wrong," Vox scowled at the inventor.

Vergil sighed, as he groaned, "Yeesh, Vox. You're completely impatient as Valentino, and simply demanding or stating a timeline won't guarantee everything this fast."

"We're need to have the proto-types ready before those angelic bastards come down and kill our customers." Vox reminded, "Unless you can find a way to make them immune to their weapons our business will be as laughable as Princess Morningstar's shitty redemption dream."

"Well, the only way we can actually make products that can work against these fuckers, is to test them on those fuckers," Vergil calmly berated as he explained. "You can't make an effective Angel-Proof Weapon or defense without having to test them on said angels. How do you think my dad and his business partner made so many advances in robotics and technologies? They experimented on the poor."

"Well, then find some angels to test the stuff on," Vox said impatiently. "We've got a lot of shit to do today, and I'm not sure Val and I can make the Overlord Meeting today," Vox ranted, but calmed down as he said, "Carmilita's bringing us together to talk about useless irrelevant garbage again. Thinks she's the leading Overlord in all of us."

"Once again, Vox, that request is impossible," Vergil argued, "We're in Hell. There are no Angels."

RING

RING

Vergil sighed, as he shook his head, "Hold on, I have another call." He then turned on a private channel as he answered, "Yes?" He lit up as he knew it was someone, he enjoyed the company of, "Kruger. Hey. It's good to hear from you."

But then noticed Vox's annoyed expression, as he sighed, "I'm a bit pressed on time, so what's the situation, my fav mercenary?"

He then blinked as he went wide eye at this, as he gasped, "What? Really?"

He smiled, "Ah, I knew there's a reason why I made a deal with you and your group. I'll be over to pick it up."

He then hung up as he prepared to leave, as he called out, "Pagliacci!"

Suddenly, a black and white Fizzbot showed up, with red glowing eyes, black rings around its eyes, and the toros part resembled the upper shirt part of the clown the Fizzbot was named after with two red buttons going down on its lapel.

"My Coat," Vergil snapped, as the robot stretched out to fit his master with his usual coat, while Vox looked annoyed, waiting for an answer, but poked for it.

"Well," Vox asked.

"Well, what," Vergil asked.

"Who was that on the other call?" Vox asked, annoyed about the signal he couldn't oversee.

"Just one of my many deals I made when you guys helped me to become an Overlord," Vergil said, as his platform landed on the floor, as he walked to the elevator, "He says he has something for me."

"And this'll meet our deadline?"

"He said it was very important and that I or any of us would be the only ones to see it," Vergil answered, as he entered the elevator. "What we do with it, it'll be up to us."

"Since I'm busy with my part of the business and so is Val, Velvette will join you. Maybe she'll take you the Overlord meeting that we got the message from that bitch Carmilla."

Vergil blinked, "The what?"

"The Meeting," Vox said, annoyed. "The one with the Overlords? You do remember that, right?"

"I thought you and Val were going to that," Vergil said as he went up with the elevator.

"Just meet with Velvette on the way out, and be sure to be there," Vox said as he cut off.

Vergil shook his head, "I sometimes wonder why I stay here."

As the door opened he would see his reason as Velvette, wearing a new outfit would shake her booty about as she threw orders at her employees and interns before shouting, "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY MOCHA!"

"I see your interns haven't gotten your mocha latte," Vergil said, popping up behind her, startling her a bit, as she calmed, "So when is this Overlord meeting?"

"You mean the meeting of the fucking boring meeting in Hell with an old bitch and some fossils?" Velvette asked, while she was looking at her phone, "'bout several hours."

"Good," Vergil said, as he walked passed her, "I'll meet you there after I take care of my own business."

At that moment, Melissa arrived with the mocha latte in hand at a stunned Velvette being brushed off by Vergil.

She then grabbed it and squeezed it, making its contents shoot out hitting the intern's face as she stomped after him, "Now hold up a fucking moment. What the hell's more important than spending time with yours truly?"

"Nunya," Vergil replied, as he stepped out.

"Nunya," Velvette asked.

"As in Nunya business," he joked, as he took a turn on the street to where a black hover limo was ready with Thorn opening the door dressed as a sexy chauffeur.

Velvette glared at the Succubus wearing such an outfit while she said, "Hold the fuck up! You're telling me? ME! To scram like your tramps here?"

She even gestured at Thorn for reference.

Vergil got in the limo, and Thorn was about to close the door, but Velvette slid in, and glared at an unfazed Vergil, as the car started with Thorn at the wheel.

"Shouldn't you be getting at the meeting," Vergil sighed.

"It's called being fashionably late for a reason, Darling." Velvette waved it off while sitting close, "Besides, what you're planning to do seems more fun compared."

"You're just going to complicate things when we get there," Vergil sighed, already not liking this. "Besides, I thought we agreed that the only time we spend is when you need stress relief."

"Well guess what, I'm stressed and being 'round you is my relief how I see fit." Velvette stated, taking No for an answer.

Vergil sighed, as moments later, the vehicle stopped, as he mumbled, "He is not going to like this."

And then his door opened, as Thorn reported, "We're here, sir."

He nodded, as he didn't bother to look at Velvette, "Stay in the car, please." And got out as he calmly walked towards where he was going.

Velvette flipped Thorn the birdie before going to join him.

She noticed it was a loading dock bay, long abandoned with rotting coop towers and empty rusty cargo haulers. While Vergil walked towards what appeared to be a rusted and blackened aircraft carrier. Possibly a remnant of WWII of sorts as some souls were sent down here: both ally and enemy. Unbeknownst to the two, someone was watching them from the bridge deck.

Velvette looked at Vergil with a sneaky idea and said, held onto his arm, "Oh, Darling, I'm so scared... Hold me."

Suddenly, flashlights shot out, which startled Velvette to hold on to him tightly, as the sounds of rifles and guns being cocked. Red dots showed up, as they aimed for vital parts, while Vergil looked calm, and looked up to a shadowed silhouette on the bridge deck. He sighed, as he spoke out, "Kruger. I know what you're gonna say..."

"I don't like new faces, Vergil. Until I get to meet them, I get a bit itchy when you bring someone with ya," the voice spoke out, as they performed some unique feat of gymnastics to reach the starboard deck side walking to the platform bridge to the docks, "I told you, Vergil. When we first met, before we made our deal... I don't trust who is a new face because when I trusted a new face, I almost lost my business." He then finally got to them, face-to-face, as he was revealed.

He was a tall muscular sinner demon with dark grey skin, whose eyes had Blue sclera and slit yellow pupils, a slightly shaved head with black hair and stubble beard and four fangs inside his mouth. He wore a short-sleeved green shirt underneath a camouflage tactical combat jacket with a black combat vest, which had four pouches which held extra ammunition as well as extra-magazines and medical supplies. On his back was a sheave which held a machete, black combat cargo pants, a brown belt and brown combat boots. He had a brown shoulder holster on his left side and a black Serpa-retention holster on his left leg which each held a sidearm. But his most iconic feature was a pair of aviator sunglasses.

"So, tell me, Vergil," the Sinner Demon said, as he looked to the latest V, "Why, after you agreed to wait and ease me in... am I seeing a new face?"

"Kruger, meet Velvette, member of the Vs," Vergil introduced, as he looked to Velvette, "Velvette, this is Colonel Kruger of Apex Tactical. A Paramilitary sect I'm in contract with."

"Charmed, I'm sure," she said being polite to Kruger, "I can see why my beau here wanted to keep such an operation like this on the hush-hush." She said before saying, "I'd hate the be the fucking idiot who tries to get one up on such a strong guy like you in charge. Certainly, more than the limp dicks I had to deal with."

Kruger looked at her, and arched an eyebrow under his glasses, as he half-smirked, "Velvette. I know you, you made that Love Potion, right?"

She smiled, "Ah. A fan. It's just one of my advertisements I do when I'm bored or not doing something with Valentino." She then showed her the advertisements of her and Val which was titled as "Love Potion".

"I hate that artificial crap," Kruger bluntly said.

Velvette shrugged, "Your choice, don't care if you don't use it." She then said, "I know he said this is a top-secret meeting like in those old Mafia films, but I couldn't resist and now getting a good look at who he's meeting. I feel like I'm missing out."

"Well, that Love Potion thing isn't personal; I'm not saying it screwed me over," Kruger explained. "Lust shouldn't be about force, it's an art! To be earned and enjoyed. You feel me?"

"I feel ya, especially since you sound like the big Man of Lust himself when Valentino tried to make business deal with him," Velvette answered.

Vergil then sighed, "Well, this has got very awkward for someone like me." He then looked to Kruger and asked, "Kruger. You said that you had something for me."

"Right," Kruger said, as he snapped his finger.

Coming down the walkway was a Sinner Demon looking like a Military soldier in a black getup and gas mask, taller than Kruger, build muscular, like a black leather hulk from head to toe. He had on him a duffel bag as him and then gave the bag to Kruger, as he stepped back to allow his boss some space.

Vergil arched an eyebrow, as he asked, "What's in the bag? I didn't expect you to be giving me guns so soon."

"Babe, I don't think it's a gun," Velvette said, seeing something leaking.

"She's right, Vergil. Trust me, what's in that bag is a game changer," Kruger said as he took the bag and put it on the ground before slowly unzipping it, and put his hand in it to pull something that shocked them to their very souls.

It was the severed head of an Exorcist. Vergil blinked, as he asked, "Is this... from the last Extermination? How'd you kill it?"

The men around them laughed as if the question was a joke.

"We didn't, we found it," Kruger responded, "During the clean-up we stumbled upon this."

"Don't forget the other bits, boss, well those that we were able to find," One of Kruger's men reminded.

"Bits? What bits," Vergil asked, as he blinked, "Are you saying that more than one Exorcist was killed?"

"Show 'em what we found," several more of the Apex operators drag out body bags and bring them to Virgil and Velvette. They unzipped them and revealed the remains of several Exorcists inside them, gold blood staining the inside.

"Holy fuck..." Velvette breathed, sneaking a snapshot of them with her hell phone.

"Their bodies..." Vergil asked, as he looked to Kruger, "You found traces of what killed them?"

"We found traces of metal, but we can't identify it," Kruger said.

Vergil then grew a small smirk, as he deduced, "Angelic Steel. Would be my guess."

"Now about our fee, remember, I may work for you, but you don't own me," Kruger stated.

Velvette pursed her lips as she studied her surroundings. All around them were sinners and hellborns enough of make up a small army, all armed with firearms, some made with angelic steel, others ordinary guns you could find throughout hell.

But they all looked ready to open fire if needed.

She smirked and said, "Well what if we paid you in a growing reputation once the New Extermination Day happens?"

"I honestly was thinking about that myself. On the condition that we keep quiet about this in the hopes that this doesn't spread a mass riot," Vergil advised. "Because once word gets out, it causes a wildfire that'll throw a lot of monkey wrenches in everyone's plans."

"As much as I'd like that, my people still need to eat, we still want our fee and I ain't dumb enough to make a deal" Kruger said.

"Or you can use this for your own advantage," Velvette said smirking deviously.

She then separated from Vergil and placed her arms over the shoulders of two of Kruger's men, "Think about it, once that program Vox and Vergil here are working on is ready as well as hear how you lot killed the angels with yer holy guns then sinners will be fucking themselves over to hire you all to be part of the security."

She then went to Kruger and whispered, "Think about it Luv. all those $ouls in yer fucking piggy banks that'll make even Mammon look like a cheap-shack hack."

Kruger looked to his men who are all smirking and then to Virgil, "Apex stands with the Vees"

Velvette blew a kiss to him, "Yer a diamond, doll."

She then sauntered her way over to Vergil and added, "Be waiting at the car, Luv."

And continued to saunter, swaying her hips as she does.

"You've got yourself quite the lady, Vergil," Kruger said to him once Velvette was out of earshot.

One of Kruger's men asked, "So... she seeing anyone?" Finding her method of recruiting them a hardon.

Vergil took the duffel bag and the head within it, as he silently walked away, heading to where the limo was. Apparently, no words were needed at all.

Once he arrived back at the limo, he sees Velvette texting on her phone smiling to herself.

"You seem to be in a cheerful mood," Vergil implied, as he and she entered it.

"Well duh. Being able to broker a deal with Col. K and his crew was easy once you know how to get them in line," she said while texting Vox and Valentino what she and Vergil found.

Vergil rolled his eyes, "Maybe you should be in charge with them then," Vergil replied, as they were driven to the next location to come. Velvette stuck her tongue out at him, though not really angry.

Meanwhile
Hazbin Hotel

Daredevil was in puppy mode sleeping next to Keekee, as the day was like every other day. Though at the moment, Charlie and Vaggie were at the moment, putting up a Banner with the writing saying 1 Week Anniversary of Sir Pentious Joining on it.

"That looks perfect! Aah!" Charlie cheered as she couldn't hold in her excitement, "I am so excited that Sir Pentious is staying at the hote~e~el!"

"Um, Pentious was just trying to take over the city with his weird steampunk bullshit literally 2 weeks ago..." Vaggie reminded while the princess of Hell slid down the ladder.

Charlie then assured, "Well, I haven't seen him try to pull any of that here."

Then Sir Pentious came in, rolling in a new machine that his Egg Boiz are sitting on.

James was walking in, as he saw the cannon, "Pentious?" The snake man and the two ladies looked to him, as he pointed to the cannon, "What the hey is that?"

"Ah, I'm glad someone asked. It's my new invetion," Pentious smiled, as he revealed it, "The Skin Flayer. I just invented it and hope to test it on the residents of the hotel."

Clint would shout, "It's not me! I'm not behind anything bad!"

Pentious frowned, "I meant to those who would try to harm me."

Charlie was shocked, as she asked, "What?! Why would you do that?"

"Because I feel that someone is attempting to harm me," Pentious said, as he looked around, suspicious of them all, "I don't know when or where, or what motive, but they are planning to harm me. And also because of how everyone's being too nice to me... I feel that they are planning a plot to do me in." Pentious added.

Dan would say, "Dude, you backstabbed her highness by being a mole to the Vees. Ya should've know what'd that cause..."

Though at that moment, two familiar-looking Sinner female demons walked in. It was Clara and Odette, as they wheeled in boxes of weapons. Pentious rans over to them, as Odette held out a clipboard to him, "Sign, please."

Sir Pentious signed the clipboard while Clara wheeled in the boxes. "Thank you for your business," Odette casually greeted, as Clara joined her, "Enjoy your Carmine purchase."

James arched an eyebrow, as he asked, "Carmine?"

Dan and Bruce became silent and stared dumbstruck at the two women who left. However, the two women spotted James, as Odette went wide eye, and gasped, "It's you."

James blinked as he looked to them, and casually smiled and waved, "Oh hey. It's you two."

Clara shared her sister's surprise, before she casually waved, "Hey there, good to see you doing alright with yourself."

"Cool. Just glad to see you two are okay, and your mom," James asked that last part, if she was okay.

Clara was about to say something only for Odette to say, looking away from James with a light blush on her cheeks, "Clara, we must go."

"But Odette." Clara said to her sister.

The glasses wearing demoness said, "We have a busy schedule before we return to mother."

Clara pouted before waving to James, "Later."

And the two walked away. But not before Clara shouted, "BTW, ODETTE'S NOT SEEIN' ANYONE, YOU CAN TOTALLY ASK HER OUT!"

Though they all heard a shrieking squeal of embarrassment from that, with Clara laughing at her sister's expense.

James waved back to them, as he felt a glare behind him, and sighed, "Yes, Vaggie?"

"It's rather strange you know it's her," Pentious arched an eyebrow.

He turned around as he asked, "What's the big deal? I was just saying Hi."

"No one says 'hi' to Carmilla Carmine's Daughters, the biggest and most successive Weapons dealer in hell and an Overlord!" Vaggie practically screamed.

James went wide eye, "Wait, what?"

"How did you not know if you met," Charlie asked.

"We weren't on a name basis," James explained. "I kinda met them one day and that was it. Nothing big."

"But they were a bit surprised about you," Charlie asked. But James merely gave a clueless shrug.

"Because that one day was during Extermination Day," Vaggie muttered annoyed, before turning to Charlie, "He must've gotten involved with what weapon retrievals they do when the Exorcists leave their weapons behind."

"Vaggie, what are you getting at," Charlie asked, not sure she would like the answer.

"I'm just saying that he should be more careful if he doesn't want to get on the wrong side of Carmine and her weapons." Vaggie said, glaring at James dead in the eye, "Especially when they're made from Angelic Weapons."

"Speaking of weapons..." James pointed to Pentious, as he was working on a handheld laser.

Vaggie turned her eye on Pentious and asked, "Why the actual hell would you buy weapons from Carmine?"

"She's the only top weapons dealer in Hell," Pentious said, but then thought on it aloud, "Although, that V known as Vergil said he was working on being a rival, so he could be an option later on."

They all looked at him as if he was saying he was going to betray them again while Dan said, "And you wonder why the others don't like you so much... Limpy-sellout."

Bruce nodded slightly at the comment while Clint rolled his eyes.

"See," Pentious said.

Vaggie shook her head, as she stated, "Okay, well that stops right now." She walked up and took his gun, as well as the boxes, pushing them into James, while glaring at him, but looked back at Pentious, "You absolutely cannot build weapons in this hotel. No one is trying to kill you. People are being nice because they want you to feel welcome."

Sir Pentious looked at Vaggie with a wry expression. He peeked over his machine to scowl at the other residents and workers. He looked over to Husk downing a bottle in the bar, who flipped off Sir Pentious. Angel Dust, standing near the bar on his phone, did the same. Clint, who was still rolling his eyes, flipped him as well, as Dan gave him a double flip off. Niffty, who was dusting a corner of the wall, looked at him and did a sinister-sounding giggle.

Sir Pentious wryly looked at all this as he mumbled, "Hmm, I have my doubts."

James sighed, as he was still trying to handle the crates, "This isn't working."

Bruce nodded, even though he was flipping Pentious off too.

"Well, it's true. You have to trust us," Vaggie stated.

Sir Pentious huffed, crossing his arms, "But I don't."

"To be fair, Vaggie," James asked honestly, knowing about her personality, "Do you trust anybody that isn't a woman?"

Charlie then got between them, as she smiled, getting an idea, "Well, why don't we focus on that for today's activities?"

Vaggie interrupted, "Not before we lay some ground rules. No more building weapons, no more plotting against other guests, and you need to get rid of these things."

Vaggie pointed at Egg Boiz who were on the crate of weapons. 2 Egg Boiz, having a tug-of-war over a laser, accidentally set it off and blew a hole in the roof, much to Vaggie's frustration, "Oh!" She then pointed at the damaged ceiling angrily shouting, "What did I just say? What did I just say?!"

"What? Not my little egg boiz," Pentious looked terrified by this, as he bent down, and hugged them, "They do my evil bidding for me! Plus, I can't live without them!" He looked to James pleadingly, "You have that cute Cerberus with you. You know what that's like."

Vaggie glared, "Except when Daredevil's not some demon you made in a lab. He knows how to behave." Vaggie would then look at Daredevil asking in a more friendly tone, scratching behind his ears, "Isn't that right Daredevil."

Suddenly, Daredevil snarled at her for some odd reasons. James stepped up and scolded him, "Daredevil, NO!"

Daredevil did as he was told and left, moving away from Vaggie as he arched an eyebrow, "What has gotten in to him?"

"Yeah," Charlie said as she looked concerned, "I don't think I've ever seen him act like this around everyone."

"Everyone except Vaggie," Clint pointed out. "He's always been anxy around the one-eyed she demon mother girl ever since he started living here."

Vaggie narrowed her eye, "Well... that was after our first day..."

"But he licked her that one time," James said. "Well, something's got him agitated about Vaggie. Just don't know what it is."

"How should I know," Vaggie asked, looking at James like he's saying it's her fault, "I'm not the one who wanted to get rid of him like a certain talk show shitty lord."

"Why are you accusing me of making him hate you? I was pleading to keep him safe here," James argued.

"Well, something made him not like me now," she argued back.

"OKAY!" Charlie said, getting in between them in a panicky tone and way. She calmed down a bit, as she said, "Okay, well... maybe we can work on that as well during the trust exercises."

Pentious smiled, as he coiled around his minions, "Then I can keep my minions?"

"No!" most of them said, Vaggie being the loudest.

"Dammit," Pentious said, as he sulked, And with tears in his eyes, he conceded, "All right, eggies. You've got to go. I..." he sobbed, as he gulped, "...can't keep you anymore!"

"Okay, boss," The Egg Boiz said, as they followed Vaggie, as she wheeled away the boxes.

"No, don't resist," Pentious wept, "This is how it has to be!"

"They're long gone," James quickly said to him.

Sir Pentious began crying as he watched his Egg Boiz walking away. Charlie, looking awkward, patted his shoulder, as did James, as he said sarcastically, "This is going to be a fun day."

"To think I stood by them as I was creating them..." Pentious cried in despair.

Alastor's Room

His room looked to be a kind of Louisiana-esque mansion parlor, while the other half looked to be a swamp of sorts. The Radio Demon was sitting at a table in the fortress with a rotted carcass of a deer. With a knife and fork while listening to jazz music in the background. Suddenly, the jazz music stopped with a record-scratching sound, with a familiar voice speaking out, "Alastor!" Vaggie came by with the Egg Boiz behind her.

Alastor tore away from his meal and asked, "Do you mind? I'm in the middle of my breakfast."

"Pentious' eggs are all over the place and I need you to get rid of them," she said rather demandingly.

Throwing his utensils away, Alastor smirked, his staff appearing in his hand, "With pleasure."

"Humanely," Vaggie reminded him with a stern look on her face.

The smile slimmed, turned away and commented, "Hmm. Well, that's a lot less fun." Alastor looked back to her, she didn't see his eyes glow red and the X visible on his forehead. Before they vanished, he then said, "But I suppose I can take care of that on my outing today."

He then gestured for the eggs to follow as he walked out of the room.

"Great." Vaggie said as he left with the eggs in tow. But then grimaced as she saw his 'breakfast'. "Okay, that's gross."

Later On,
Hotel Lobby

Charlie had the others stay at attention as for the activity today.

Though Clint asked, "So what arguably pointless game are we gonna do today for our supposed redemption?"

Bruce nodded at that, curious as to what was about to happen.

Behind Charlie and Vaggie is a stage with a banner on it that reads "Trusting 101", while the princess spoke, "Hi, guys. Thanks for coming! It's been brought to our attention that there may be a little tension in the hotel."

As Charlie explained, everyone is hating each other or on edge.

Pentious pulled out a blaster and aimed it at an unsuspecting Niffty.

But Vaggie snatches it out of his hands before he can, saying, "Tension that can be counterproductive to what we're trying to do here."

"So, um... what's all this," Husk asked, as he pointed behind them to the makeshift stage.

"I'm so glad you asked, Husk," Charlie said smiling, "We think that this group could really benefit from,-"

The two then jumped high into the air, exclaiming, "Trust exercises!"

"Trust exercises." Vaggie wasn't as enthusiastic as her best friend when she repeated the same words.

"Ah, shit!" Before Vaggie fell on the floor.

Charlie helped Vaggie to her feet, saying "Vaggie, we rehearsed this." She sighed before repeating, to everyone else "We're doing trust exercises!"

"And I'm not trying to judge you guys, but what kind of exercises," Lydia asked.

Vaggie turned to her best friend who instead said, "Actually, I thought maybe Vaggie could take the lead on this one. I trust everyone, so maybe you know better how to build it properly!"

Before joining the crowd.

"What," everyone freaked out in shock.

"What?" Vaggie repeated, very uncertain as she tried, "Uhh, I don't know if I'm qualified, uh..."

Charlie waved her concerns off, "Oh, come on. It'll be easy! I'm sure you can handle this."

"Yeah, um," she looked at them. All of them are looking grumpy except for Charlie, Lydia, James, and Niffty. Charlie flashing a smile and double thumbs upping her, "Sure, I can handle this. No problem."

Vaggie takes a deep breath and walks down one side of the stage, crossing her legs with each step as she does while speaking in a drill sergeant manner, "All, right, so we are starting with trust falls! Each of you are going to share something vulnerable with the group about yourself and then fall backwards, while the rest of the group catches you. Got it? Who wants to go first?"

Charlie jumped up and down, as she waved her arm out, "Oh, me. Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me!"

Unable to say no to her, Vaggie sighed, "All right, get on up here."

Charlie zoomed up to the stage, as she looked to them, and smiled, "I.." she teared up a bit, as she confessed, "I love you, guys. I really mean it." And then turned around and fell back first... only for James and Lydia to rush in and catch her with Vaggie's help... much to Vaggie's annoyance.

Charlie gasped, "Oh my goodness!"

James looked at her and asked, "Are you okay?"

"That. Was..." she looked serious, until she lit up, "AMAZING!"

She calmed a bit, as she stood up, "James, you should go next."

James shrugged, as he got up on stage, and looked to everyone, "Okay. something vulnerable."

He sighed as he said, "I um... I've never known love. In a romantic sense. So, I guess I'm kinda bummed that I died a virgin without knowing it." He looked to Vaggie and asked, "Is um.. is that good?"

Angel smirked, "Good enough for me."

The other three guys looked perturbed by how Angel said that.

James closed his eyes, and fell back first, being caught by Charlie, Lydia, and not by Vaggie at all, who looked perturbed. James got up as he blinked, "Okay... I'm... not sure if this worked."

Vaggie remained silent.

Though at that moment, Daredevil raced up on stage, and sat down. He then barked out amongst them, with no one understanding, "{Master James. You are my Alpha. My Brother. I never knew family until I met you.}" And then leapt out as James caught him.

"I have no idea what you just said, but it sounded pretty vulnerable," James commented, as he looked around. "Anyone else want a go?"

Vaggie then ordered, "Angel!"

Angel sighed, as he walked up, "Fiiine..."

Vaggie looked to them and sternly said, "Remember, we all need to catch him, or I'll hurt you if you don't."

Angel was on stage, as he thought, "Hmmm, somethin' about myself." He smirked, as he said, "okay, den. I love... to suck..."

"Don't finish that sentence" Lydia said extending her claws.

"I SWEAR TO FUCK, IF YOU SAY DICKS," an irritated Husk shot out.

"Popsicles, ya sickos," Angel smiled. "Get yer minds outta the gutters." He then fell as Lydia and Husk caught him, and smiled, "Though... I do luv suckin' dicks too."

But then was dropped on the floor by the two. Dan snickered seeing Angel dropped like a sack of rocks.

Lydia then asked, "SO who's next?"

Bruce raised his hand.

"Someone who can talk," Vaggie said annoyed with Bruce's silent act.

"Pentious," James asked.

Suddenly, it went black, as a spotlight shined above, while Pentious dramatically spoke out, "I... don't want to live without my minions." He then quickly fell over, as he cried out, "Nobody catch me." But landed in the arms of the others, "Dammit."

Clint asked, "Why did we catch him again? He's super slimy..."

Dan asked, "Are we done?"

"Since you asked, you go next." Vaggie said glaring at Dan.

Dan arched an eyebrow, as he smirked, "Oooh I got plenty of stuff ta get off."

Suddenly, Niffty rushed up as she smiled to all of them eagerly, while a glint of innocence was in her eye, "Sometimes... I kill mother bugs in front of their children as a warning to others."

When she jumped, everyone just avoided her making her crash land headfirst to the floor. Her face lit up, as she cried out, "Yay! Pain!" And then raced up again, as the others went wide eye at this insanity, as she crashed down again, moaning, "Eeee, pain!"

And did it over repeatedly, as Charlie pulled Vaggie and James aside to talk on the subject of the Trust Exercises.

"I don't know if this is really working the way we'd hoped. Maybe we should-" Charlie began nervous as she watched Niffty continue this.

Vaggie stopped her and assured her, "Charlie, you have to trust me here. I got this, okay? I'll figure something out."

"I hope it's better than this," James said, as he watched Niffty continue this. "I don't know how many times she can do that without giving herself a concussion or blacking out."

Clint inserted himself and said, "Ya know that might actually be better if she did..."

Angel shot up as he smirked, "You know... if you're in the market for some ideas, I might have some."

Vaggie sighed seeing how it couldn't get any worse than this, "What do you have in mind?"

Elsewhere

Alastor was walking among the pathway to where he was going, with the Egg Boiz following. Though it wasn't a quiet walk, they kept talking.

"Oh, boy!"

"What's the plan, boss?"

"I like your suit!"

"What are the antlers for?"

"Can I touch your staff-thing?"

"Are those your ears or is it your hair? I can't tell!"

A twitching eye and a pained smile was on Alastor's face at the moment. But at the moment, someone appeared before the Radio Demon.

He was a very tall and thin-built, spider-like demon with dark gray skin and lime-green eyes. He wore all-black clothing, with a pitch-black cloak that covers most of his body. At the front of his cloak was a large black spider with lime green stripes on its eight legs, as well as lime green eyes and lime green on its back. The interior of his cloak was lime green colored with a spider web pattern and four red spider legs extending across the cloak. He also wore a distinctive big black top hat with a light grey patch at the front, along with a gray colored skull and a lime green and red striped feather on the right side.

This was Zestial, one of the oldest souls in Hell as well as one of the longest living Overlords.

"Hark, Alastor. How fare thee this day?" The Demon asked, speaking an old century, archaic manner of speech compared to those from the early 1900 to now.

Alastor made a radio static sound effect, looking slightly startled seeing the Overlord.

One of the Egg Boiz shot up, making a few boxing moves, as he defended Alastor, "Who's that, boss? Want me to rough him up for you?"

Alastor bent down and warned, "Follow in silence if you value your shells." He then stood up and addressed the Overlord, "Greetings, Zestial!"

Just at the moment a random sinner came out from the alleyway and saw Zestial screaming, "AHH! HOLY SHIT!" And fainted.

Zestial chuckled, "Ah, the weather, doth become this fine day."

A cowboy demon comes out of the backdoor after a fight and was about to go back in when he notices Zestial and panics before fleeing, "Whoa! Uh oh!"

"Indeed, looks like we might have some acid rain this afternoon!" Alastor commented looking up at the sky.

Another random demon, at the mere sight of Zestial, screamed, poured gasoline over himself, and set himself on fire, as he ran down the street. Zestial watched commenting, "If our luck doth hold!"

Looking at Alastor he commented, "I do revel in the screams. How art thou?" Zestial asked as the two began to walk down the street with Alastor as tons of demons spotted them and hid, run, or avoid them from getting in their way. "It has been an age since thou hath graced us thy presence." Zestial stated before adding, "Some hath spun wild tales of you falling to... holy arms."

Alastor laughed at that, "Oh, I just took a well-earned sabbatical, nothing serious." He then turned to face a broken window to adjust his bow tie and coat, and laughed, "Though it's fun to keep everyone on their toes!

Chuckling, Zestial then said, "There too hath been rumor of thy involvement with the princess and her recent flight of fancy."

"Tell me," The tall demon's cloak flared open briefly before closing and asked, "How does thou fall in such folly?"

Spinning his staff, Alastor deflected the question with his smile, "That is for me to know. But please, do guess, I'd love to know the theories!" He egged on, smiling as he continue walking.

Zestial chuckled as he followed behind, "T'would be grander folly by far to assume the workings of your mind, Alastor. Thou hath been naught but an enigma since thy manifested in this realm!"

Alastor paused to comment, "Coming from someone as ancient as you, I take that as quite the compliment!"

Alastor, Zestial and the Egg Boiz walk into an alleyway with a row of lifts. The security camera spots Zestial walking in view, but Alastor's image glitches when the camera was on him. Zestial and Alastor gets into one elevator. The Egg Boiz attempt to follow, but Alastor blocks them with his cane, "No, no. I have a very important task for you." Briefly taking a look outside, he ordered, "Stay here and guard the front until I return."

The Egg Boiz all saluted, as they did so. The elevator closed, as they went up. But then the boiz spotted someone else in the elevator, "Oh, look. Frank is up there." Sure enough, the Egg Boi, Frank was pounding on the glass trying to get out.

Though the Egg Boiz looked in confusion, as one of them asked, "Wait. We have names?" The others shrugged at this.

Inside

The lift reached the top of the building and opened, where Alastor, Zestial and Frank walked out. Frank watched as other Overlords come out of other lifts and went into another room. The other Overlords was a very tall female humanoid demon with pale gray skin, and a wide mouth with black-colored lips full of sharp light pink teeth, and dusty-pink cheeks. Her eyes were pitch-black with no irises or pupils, and her hair was colored white. She appeared to be slightly taller than Alastor. Her clothing were high-class fashion of the Victorian era. She wore a large, pimped-out sun hat that was colored in a pale shade of maroon, with two skulls that were colored in a grayish-pink and red-pink, three dark burgundy flower-like decorations located at the brim, and large plumes which were black and pink red respectively. In addition, her hat also included pink frilled trim around it, along with black lining inside. She also wore a pale-maroon and pale-burgundy dress which includes puffed shoulders, thin pale-maroon swirly-like stripes on the high black collar, black-trimming around the waist and on the long sleeves' ruffled cuffs, and three black stripes and black trim located on the hem. Under her dress, she wore a pair of black kitten-heeled shoes.

The Overlord that followed her was a gray and blue suited humanoid male with a blue flaming skull with deer antlers going down, following after her.

Suddenly the area shook, as a third Overlord stomped in, shaking the place. A fifteen-food magenta and neon green skin, scale and hair female dinosaur-like Demon with punk rock clothing as she chuckled, passing a stunned Frank as they all made their way to the main office. Frank followed them in and stands near Alastor's seat. The overlord sitting next to Alastor, the Victorian female, turned to look at Frank as he waved at her. She smiled widely at him, showing her pointed, knife-like teeth. Frank hid behind Alastor's chair as Carmilla Carmine walked to the head of the table.

Unlike before, she wore an attire similar to a ballet dancer, consisting of an off-the-shoulder black dress with white buttons and white stripes located down the front and at the rim of the spiked skirt, which included hot pink lining. She also wore black waist-length stockings covered by white ballerina shoelaces. She stood at the main chair as she greeted her fellow Overlords, alongside her daughters, "Welcome, Hell's sovereign overlords. I've invited you all here because you represent the controlling powers of our city. Together, you own millions of souls. Souls at risk with the new Extermination schedule," she exclaimed as she pounded her fist on table. "We need to discuss what can be done to minimize the impact to our interest."

Zestial took his seat next to her, as Carmilla politely smiled to him, "Zestial, so good to see you, my friend."

"Enchanted as always, Carmilla," Zestial greeted backed in kindly.

Another entity walked into the meeting and stood near Carmella.

The entity was a very tall, athletic-built sinner demon with pale gray skin, with dark auburn colored hair and a pair of short black Pronghorn like horns protruding from his forehead with white tips at the end of them. The area around his eyes had a darker-colored area that appears similar to a mask on his face, which is around his slanted-eyes have white irises and blue sclera. His clothing consisted of dark fedora hat, a long sleeve black shirt underneath, a dark gray jacket with a bullet proof vest underneath it, fingerless combat gloves are on his hands, and he wears a pair of black pants with two extra pockets pants on his thighs with black boots. Underneath the coat is a cross drawn holster with holds a pistol and he has two other holsters on both of his sides. This was Dimitri, a professional arms dealer who works for Carmilla and Clara's boyfriend.

"Sorry I'm late, Miss Carmine! Just finished making a sale."

"Dimitri," Carmilla nodded, but then looked around, as she said, "I see that Hel hasn't shown up."

"Indeed, twould be disheartening to find her not amongst our numbers anymore with the damage of this more recent Extermination," Zestial said.

Carmilla then looked to see Alastor, and arched an eyebrow, "Alastor?"

"Yes, I know I've been absent for some time. I'm sure you've all been wondering!" Alastor said, smiling wide as to draw people in to guessing where he's been.

Carmilla arched an eyebrow, as she shrugged, "Not really."

Hearing those words made Alastor almost lose his smile as he had his eye twitch and his gums exposed.

"But welcome back in any case," Alastor narrowed his eyes and looked offended in Carmilla's general direction, still smiling though, as she continued, "This year's Extermination was brutal, far more even than years past. We have assessed that about 16% of the population was lost." A slide was projected onto the wall behind her, showing the vast losses they sustained, "With the angelic legions now returning twice as quickly, I think it prudent we-"

But then suddenly Carmilla was interrupted as Velvette opened the door and walked in, on the phone. Vergil following behind her with a duffel bag in tow.

"Yes, I've got it handled, Vox. Are you doubting me? Really? Me? That's what I thought." Velvette spoke into the phone. She then laughed before glancing at the room filled with Overlords, "Yes, I know. They're all a joke." She laughed again, "Thank you, V. See you soon. Kisses, darling."

Velvette then used her hip to playfully push Vergil to the seat sitting opposite of Carmilla before planting herself on his lap smiling.

"Nice of you to join us, Velvette," Carmilla said in annoyance, but asked, "Will your... colleagues be joining?"

"No, those two have better shit to do than listen to an old wind back that still thinks she's still tough shit. We're here representing," Velvette casually said, getting her phone before swiping a Devil-horned Poop faces at Carmilla's image.

Of which Carmilla simply said, "Charming..." She then looked at the demon Velvette's currently using as a seat cushion and asked, "And who... is this?"

Vergil gently bowed his head to Carmilla as he introduced himself, rather politely, "Vergil, Lady Carmilla."

"No need to be polite to her, Bae. She's the one I told you about." Velvette said a finger to his lips before introducing him to the others, "This 'ere's Vergil the newest member of the Vs. Head of Technology and doing a fucking better job at it than the sorry lot you have working for you."

Carmilla narrowed her eyes, "I wasn't aware of this new addition to your number OR that he has become an Overlord."

Alastor watched the two, more precisely Vergil studying him as his eyes narrowed in his grinning face.

Vergil then smirked at Alastor, as he said, "And you must be the infamous Radio Demon I heard so much about from Vox."

Alastor let out a chortle, "So you're the upstart I heard so much about." His eyes flashed red, his smile more sinister, "Tell me, how is my old friend?"

"Pissed off and ready to tear your antlers off," Vergil chuckled, "I must admit, I never saw him that pissed off in the time I've known him. Congrats."

That made Alastor widen his smile as he mused, "Lovely."

"May we proceed," Carmilla asked, unamused of the interruption.

Many of the Overlords became quiet for her to speak.

Velvette, however, raised her hand getting attention from Carmilla.

"Yes, Velvette," Carmilla sighed.

"Since we're approaching a subject of discussion." She reached inside the duffle bag, pulled out something and tossed it across the table. To everyone's astonishment, or surprise, it was the head of an Exorcist Angel, its gold colored blood leaking.

Everyone was in a bewildered surprise with gossip going about, even Alastor said, "Quite tasty."

Though Carmilla and her daughters were a bit stunned, Carmine glared at Velvette and Vergil, as she asked, "Where did you get this?"

"We found it in the wake of Extermination Day, thanks to a tougher than shit crew," Velvette revealed, grinning glancing around she added, "If these holy rollers can be killed the game is changed." She then got on the table walking over, "With what Vergs here has been cooking up, and the battle plan the boys and we've been cooking up we can take the fight to them!"

Carmilla arched an eyebrow, as she said, "You seem rather sure about this."

Vergil shrugged, as he gestured to Velvette, "She speaks for everyone."

"And you let her speak for you," Carmilla said, almost hurting Vergil's ego.

"Please. Vergs here doesn't need me to speak for him." She then turned to Vergil and said grinning, "Show this lot what you're working on Luv."

Vergil stood up, as he began to speak... and then said, "I don't have anything. Yet... working."

His words caught their attention as some like Carmilla watched unimpressed.

However, before a ticked Velvette could silently berate him, they were all stopped by the sound of loud sipping. They all turned to see Zestial, sipping his tea loudly and aggressively to drown out Velvette.

They all stared while Zestial continued until eyes are on him, where he placed the cup on its saucer, "If it be true thee and thy colleagues desire to war with such meagre proof, let alone with the weakened resolve of thy latest compatriot. Thou art far more... foolish than I be thought."

Vergil had a calm expression on his face, as he hid a twitch, simply replied dryly, "Thank you."

That however made Velvette scoff, " 'Meager proof'? It's a fucking dead exorcist! And don't you dare fucking insult one of my boys!" She then crossed her arms, "You going blind and deaf old man?"

Placing his hands on the table, Zestial made his case, We know not how this perished. Mayhaps t'was not by a demon's hand at all. If we rush to war without knowing mightn't, they purge all of Hell for daring an uprising!" Zestial exclaimed slamming his fist on the table.

Vergil thought on that. As did all the other overlords muttering on this. But Velvette spotted Carmilla looking away from the head and was the most silent amongst them.

Noticing Carmilla's expression, Velvette smiled, looked over her shoulder at Vergil winking at him before speaking to the overlords, "Oh, I get it. So, Grandpa is too pussy to fight, so I guess there's no point, right?" She then got in Zestial's face, continuing ridiculing him, "Oh, what's the matter, Fossil? Too senile to make a real power grab-"

That was when Carmilla, angry, began to sing.

Carmilla got in her face as she shot, You better show some respect! Check your behavior! No on talks to Zestial that way!

Did you expect us, to sit back and take your…. Insolent Brazen Display!?

Instead of being intimidated, Velvet let out a laugh and began to rap, You got it twisted, I'm not the one who needs a new attitude!

She then walked across the table and sung another verse, Maybe you missed it, but I'm that #Bitch and I will do nothing less than what I please, whoo!

She then walked back with a confident, dark smirk, I'm the backbone of the Vees,

Mad that I acted respectless? she asked, Well, it's cause no one could respect this!

Before flashing a wink at Vergil then returned her attention to the other Overlords, Sorry, group attendin'! Since when are Overlords too scared to fight?

She then swiped her finger across her phone screen, You're long past trending! Sorry, bae, but I ain't swiping right!

You've lost your relevance- She sung smirking at Zestial, who sung back,

We can't act without more intelligence.

Velvette groaned before she sung glaring in Zestial's face, No wonder I'm so respectless, I could eat you lot for breakfast!

Carmilla glared right at her, You and the Vees are inane and uninformed! Smug wannabes who don't heed when you've been warned!

Velvette gave a fake, Oops. Then smirked, Guess we struck a nerve.

Cause when we brought out the angel's head, Vergil took the head in his hand before flinging it across the table as Velvette sung couldn't help but observe your wrinkled face turning red!

Carmilla glared at the two, which drew Zestial's attention.

And why are you avoiding war? Vergil asked getting into the song as well, following Velvette's lead as she placed fingers to her head, That's what the guns you sell are for

Velvette began to strut forward like walking the catwalk down the table singing Thanks to my being respectless, one thing I suspect is you know why this angel's headless

She then got in Carmilla's face and asked Do you have a disclosure?

This meeting's over! Carmilla shouted, before both Carmine and Velvette glare at each other. The other overlords are all staring at Carmilla and Velvette.

Alastor broke the silence, commenting, "That was a productive meeting!"

The two remained silent before Velvette shrugged, "Hmph, Fine..."

She then got off table and walked to the doors, "Good luck getting back to the nursing home, fuckers!" Then flipped them off before saying, "Kiss our arses."

She walked out, but Vergil was far behind, as he looked at them, and bowed, "Good luck... with living in a fantasy realm where the Angels won't have your heads." And then proceeded to walk out.

"Okay people show's over, everybody out," Dimitri stated to everyone.

The large, kaiju, like overlord then exclaimed, "What the fuck! We literally just got here."

Carmilla frowned as she got up. But this didn't go unnoticed by Odette, who looked worried for her, "Mother?"

The overlords all began to get up and leave. All of them walked back towards the lift except for Carmilla Carmine, Odette, Clara, Dimitri and Zestial, who walked towards another room. Alastor noticed this as he was walking towards the lifts.

"Hmm... interesting..." He then noticed one of the egg demons and spoke to it, "You little egg creature, I got a job for you."

He saluted, "Oh! Yes, boss?"

He then pointed at the door the five left and ordered, "Follow them, remain unnoticed, and report back."

"Yes, sir," Franky said, and bolted after them to be unseen by the five.

Elsewhere

James had an arched eyebrow at this, as he asked, "This was the idea?"

"Angel! What the actual FUCK," VAggie angrily shot at the smug spider demon.

Charlie, James, Vaggie, Lydia, and Angel stood in front of a BDSM Sex Dungeon. Slapping noises came in the background as there were several sinner demons in BDSM outfits and bonded up in bondage on display. Angel was looking smug with himself, Charlie was looking incredibly shocked along with Lydia, James was in confusion while Vaggie was angry... as always.

"No activity requires more trust than BDSM, baby," Angel explained, as he held out a pair of fuzzy handcuffs, but stood up straight, as he proudly stated, "No bond stronger than those formed through bondage! That's their motto!"

"I see," Lydia said, still in shock.

"Nah, seriously," Angel said, as he pointed to a poster, "Dat's their motto." And pointed to a poster on the wall, which did indeed read "NO BOND STRONGER THAN THOSE FORMED THROUGH BONDAGE".

James arched an eyebrow, "Huh. Interesting. Guess you aren't bullshitting us."

Charlie was a bit nervous, as she tried to voice her opinion on it, "Angel, love the enthusiasm. But, umm, uh, hmmm,"

But Vaggie shot at him, saying, "What makes you think anyone would be into this?"

But then two voices sighing in delight turned their attention to see Husk and Dan being pampered and massaged by two female BDSM'ers, as the cat man purred, "You know, I, I don't mind this."

"Snoogins," Dan moaned at this.

"I don't know what that is, but I agree," Husk chuckled.

Niffty popped up near the two, and was wearing a dominance outfit as she giggled, "I'm ready to punish some bad boys!"

Seeing Niffty and her outfit made the two go wide eye, and both got up, as Dan said, "…And it's ruined."

"...Never mind, I-I'm out," Husk agreed as he joined the snake boy.

A demon with snake hair came up behind Charlie and started giving her a massage, as she chuckled, "Okay, um.. hello there, um.." Other demons began coming towards Charlie and rubbing themselves against her.

James quickly pulled her away, as he said, "Yeah, not gonna happen."

Though a female cat girl pressed herself up to him, as she smiled, "Hey, you feel pretty strong. I bet you can make this... extra... fun?"

"I'm not into bondage," James quickly said, as he pulled Charlie over to Vaggie and Lydia, and looked to them, "We gotta get out of this."

"Ugh! I can't fucking believe I let you drag us here, Angel," Vaggie groaned. "This is disgusting."

Charlie though assured as she tried to take over, "It's no big deal, Vaggie. You know, maybe I can just help, uh-"

Vaggie though stopped her, as she said, "No. I told you could trust me, and I'm not going to let you down." She walked away from them, thinking, "I just need to teach them, the way I was taught..." Though as she said that Vaggie smiled with excitement when she had the perfect trust exercise for all of them.

Though James gulped, seeing the smile was no good, as he asked, "And... which is...?

They were in the destroyed section of the city where turf wars were happening.

And everyone was standing on a rooftop of a building at the edge of it where Charlie screamed, over the carnage and shouting from below, "THIS IS WHERE YOU LEARNED HOW TO TRUST PEOPLE!?"

On the ground, demons were shooting each other, brawling with weapons, and one demon was on fire, screaming and running around while others were still enjoying the carnage.

A Cactus Cowboy Demon shouted out, "Yee-haw!"

A Punk Demon cried out while firing guns out, "Let's go, Baby!"

"Bring it on, Bitch!"

James looked to Vaggie, as he said, "Vaggie. I've been in Hell longer than I should, and have been around Blitz for a while, to know that..." and shouted frantically at her, "... YOU ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR MIND!" He then pointed out, "What does this have to do with trusting others?!"

She resume her Drill sergeant tone and explained, "There is nothing stronger than the trust between comrades in arms. Buckle up, buttercups, because today you boys become men!"

An explosion went off, big enough to affect her hair from the shockwave, that smile still on her face while Clint whimpered, "We're gonna die..."

Bruce even made the sign of the cross on his chest as a means to be saved from Vaggie's "Trust Method".

"Any chance we cannot do this," Lydia asked in fear.

Dan said, "Babe, I think we're in the literal hellhound house..." But suddenly both were grabbed by Vaggie as Dan pleaded, "Egos, wait! I don't think we're ready…"

"YOU are gonna survive Together!" She shouted tossing Dan and Lydia down together.

But not before Dan grabbed Sir Pentious tail, dragging the crime boss down with them as the crime boss screamed, "You bastard! I can't fight without my minions!"

She then turned on Angel, Bruce and Clint approaching them though her eye seemed set on Angel Dust, to punish him for taking them to that BDSM dungeon...

Bruce shared a look with Clint and suggest they push the pornstar forward knowing that she wants him and hopefully will leave the two of them alone if they offer Angel Dust up.

Clint looked to her and asked hopefully, "Maybe we could…"

Vaggie grabbed Angel dust, literally lifting him then tossed him down, "And YOU are gonna make this Hotel work!"

Angel gulped, "Hey wait a minute..!" And screamed as he was thrown off.

Then she turned her gaze to Bruce and Clint as both gulped.

Bruce gave a sad face to Clint trying to convey how sorry he was before pushing him into Vaggie's arms as he tries to make a break for his own safety.

"Bruce! You traitor," Clint cried out in fear.

Vaggie lifted Clint up as she shouted, "And You will be Redeemed so that your screwed up souls can be saved!"

Before tossing Clint down too.

All that was currently left was Husk, Niffty, and in front of them… James. Oooh, she wanted an excuse to do this. And James gulped knowing that.

She then approached, Zeroing her focus on James, and ignoring Bruce and Husk who reentered the building as soon as they saw how far Vaggie was taking this trust exercise.

She stopped and said, "Weapons, give 'em."

James blinked, "What?"

"The scythe you have and that other weapon, Give them to me now." She demanded while Charlie was distracted to see if her friends are okay down at ground level.

He sighed, as he gave the scythe to Vaggie, as he pulled at the chain. He tried as best he could, and grunted, "Dangit, it's stuck."

"What?" She asked before trying to pull it out, even as James felt as though she was trying to pull his arm off.

Though she tried to pull it off so hard, she put her foot on his chest to do so, only to lose her grip and seemingly look like she kicked him off, as he screamed, "DAMMIIIIIIII...!" And crashed on the ground.

Charlie stared in horror at this, looking down after James before turning to Vaggie.

Vaggie then saw Niffty bouncing up and down, excitedly, and insanely, giggle, "My turn! My turn!"

Vaggie calmly glared at Niffty and then picked her up. Though at that moment, both Bruce and Husk went back into the inside of the building, not wanting to get involved and realizing how far this exercise had gone. Vaggie made ready to throw Niffty, but Charlie snatched her up before she could, as she said, "VAGGIE, NO!" But in a panic.

Vaggie turned to face her best friend and adamantly said, "This is the only way they'll learn, especially the tension between James & Lydia and Clint's group."

"Are you sure you're not just doing this because you dislike James," Charlie asked her, knowing well that there's been a lot of tension between the two.

Though during the argument, Niffty got fed up and threw herself over the side to join in.

"Despite my feelings about him, I want to be sure you know you can trust me," Vaggie said, approaching her, "I know you'd say that it will take time, but time's something we don't have... How many more Exterminations will it take for them to get out of their asses and help this work? How many more exterminations will it for your people to die before we make actual headway?" Vaggie asked, hating seeing her best friend suffering like this.

She turned away, Saddened by how things turned out, not even seeing James being beaten up by Sinners didn't make her smile.

Charlie tried to come for her friend, but she wasn't sure on how to do it but this subject, "Vaggie. I…"

"I tried taking charge but like you saw everything went sideways..."She then looked at the princess, "I made a promise, when we met, that I'd make your dreams a reality, to protect you from any threats..."

She then took Charlie by the shoulder, "I'm not supposed to fail you..."

Vaggie then went over to the edge hearing the voice of the others shouting up at her with Clint screaming, "OW! OOWWW! HE'S BITING MY BUTT!""

"I BLAME YOU, YOU CRAZY BITCH," Angel shouted.

"SNOOGIE BOOGIE!" Dan added angrily.

"MAKE IT STOP," Lydia cried out.

"VAGGIE!" James shouted, "YOU'RE GONNA GET IT!"

Slightly ignoring it, Charlie tried to assure her, "Vaggie, you're not…"

Vaggie sighed, "I'm sorry, Charlie... I'd... I'd like to be alone for a minute."

However, the moment of being alone would not last, as at that moment, the doorway that led to the rooftop opened up. Limping and dragging themselves up on the ground, everyone who had been thrown down there minus a happy Niffty, we're all halfway the death at this , what Charlie or Waggy didn't know what would come to be a mob.

Clint breathed heavily, "Don't know how... but... we... ma-made it..."

Lydia got up on shaky legs, and she walked over to Charlie and Maggie, and she whimpered, "… VVa…Vaggie…"

She reached out but almost fell over, if not for Charlie as she assured her, "It's okay, Lydia. We're going back."

"V-V-Vaggie…" Lydia stuttered looking in fear… only to be replaced by anger as she roared, "HAS TO GO!"

Vaggie sighed remaining unaffected while Charlie asked, "huh?"

"She has to go," Lydia protested. "It's madness!"

Everyone else also stormed over, giving out their complaints by the situation as well.

"This bitch is out of her mind," Angel said.

"She is an aggrieved monster trying to fucking kill us," Clint shot out. "And those guys were armed!"

Charlie got between them, "Guys I get it... But still... she was trying to help..."

Lydia got in her face as she interrogated, "Even you of all people know how horrible she is! Why are you always defending her?"

Dan slinked up to Charlie, as he suddenly grabbed her and shook her like crazy, acting like a fanatic idiot, "Seriously! What did she have against you that makes her stay?! Answer us, Woman!"

Vaggie went and slammed her foot against Dan's gut so hard that it literally sent him flying across the city as a seriously pissed off Vaggie growled, "KEEP YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF CHARLIE!"

"See? That's the problem," Lydia said.

Vaggie glared at her, "You wouldn't understand, you had James all your life."

"But at least he wasn't so aggrevated and pushing and judging everyone like you do constantly," Lydia shot out. "And what kind of life did you live that made you this fucked up!?"

Vaggie remained silent turning away from her, Charlie would try and paly peacemaker, 'Come on guys... just please stop fighting?"

She looked to James who would probably stand for Vaggie.

James remained silent.

"James," she looked in question. "Please?"

He sighed as he calmly said, " I'm an easy guy. Slow to anger, laugh at a good joke." But then he sternly looked at Vaggie, and said, "But there are limits, and Vaggie pushed me beyond mine. So either, she goes. Or I do."

Charlie stared in shock, "Wh-What?"

James turned around as he limped out of there. His face in frustration and ire of what had happened.

Charlie sighed looking down, completely disheartened, "Come on guys... let's go..."

Everyone though just walked away, leaving Charlie behind.

Charlie sighed before saying to Vaggie, "I might not know the specifics but... maybe you could lighten up so that we don't lose someone we need at the Hotel?"

Charlie walked away saddened as she thought about telling them what she knows of Vaggie's past.

Later
Back at The Hotel

James was stumbling a bit, trying to find his room. But the earlier bout kinda gave him a bit of a concussion. "Ugh, I need to find my room, and crash in bed."

He stumbled a bit as he leaned on his door and opened it as he closed it. But as he did, he blinked in seeing the room a bit white and golden. And the style of it was somewhat something of a neat room that had the space similar to a dojo.

But what really shocked James at the moment was what he saw. He saw Vaggie changing clothing with her bare back exposed. And oddly enough, she had scars on her back. Scars that looked like they once had wings.

James though forgot about his aches and pains, and blinked, "What..?"

Vaggie turned before seeing James there, then screamed rushing at him with spear in hand and aimed it at his heart, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"

James shook his head, as he tried to explain himself, " I'm really sorry. I honestly thought this was my room. I'll just leave and…" he said he started to turn around, hoping to leave the room in before the girl would kill him.

Vaggie shoves the Spear just an inch away from his throat causing James to throw his arms in the air in surrender.

"…or we can stay and just talk it out like calm people should," James gulped.

Vaggie stared angrily and hatefully at James "I should have left you for dead on extermination day, you stupid pervertido."

"Look, I'm not a pervert. I was out of it and thought it was my room," James said in defense. "Why wasn't the door locked?"

"Because everyone knows it's my room."

"I didn't know," James confessed.

Vaggie glared, "This can end 2 ways... 1. I make you suffer before killing you. Or 2. I can make you forget what you saw on the promise you don't tell anyone, ANYONE at all, especially Charlie."

"Look, I won't tell anyone," James said, as his fear suddenly overrode his brain, "I won't tell everyone or Charlie that secretly you're an Angel missing her wings. Or that you're a former Exorcist." He went wide eye, along with Vaggie, at what he had just spouted, and slapped himself in the face, groaning, "Dammit, I cannot shut up when I'm scared around you."

"Wh-What?" She then grabbed him by the throat, lifted him up with a very impressive strength and screeched, "HOW DID YOU KNOW!?"

"Well, I mean there were some subtle details about you being one..." James gulped.

"HOW," Vaggie shouted furiously.

James took a deep breath, and answered, "You have an X over your eyepatch, which resembles that of the LED masks the Exorcists wear. I also saw you cut yourself when you attempted to make a salad for Charlie, only to bleed out golden yellow blood, which you quickly covered up, but I only noticed but kept silent on." He then pointed to the spear, "This is also an Angelic Spear, to which I've seen the Exorcists use."

Vaggie narrowed her eye and said, "I could've found the spear after that bitch of an Exorcist who cut out my eye abandoned it and used it as my own since."

"I kinda doubt that," James said, "Angelic steel from what I've heard around isn't easy to get. And nobody's that nuts to go out and use it."

"Exorcists have been leaving their weapons behind since Exterminations had been going on. Why do you think Carmilla has been collecting them?"

"Then why are you getting so offensive on this subject of being an Exorcist," James tackled back in questions.

"The Bitch cut out my eye..." Vaggie reminded, gestured to her eye patch, "You don't forgive or forget something like that."

"And the wings on your back," James asked, arching an eyebrow, as he was now becoming more unconvinced.

"You only saw them entering while I was changing, Pervert," Vaggie reminded.

James then said, "And also the reason why DD's been going wonky around you... is because I think he's smelling angel." And then pointed to the door, "Look outside if you don't believe me."

"Not gonna lie... the fact he smelled me after he started to lick me that one day really made me nervous. But I wasn't gonna do anything unless it was endangering Charlie," Vaggie said, knowing that the only reason James would mention DD is if the Hound was outside ready to attack should his master be in immediate danger.

James opened the door, as before it, Daredevil was in puppy form, snarling at Vaggie to drop the spear. To which she did, as James closed the door, with Daredevil inside, as James looked to Vaggie, and asked, "Can I ask something?"

Vaggie snorted, "Might as well since you outwitted me..."

James sat down on the floor and asked, "Can you.. tell me how you and Charlie met?"

Vaggie narrowed her eye hugging herself really uncomfortable with it...

"I'm just trying to figure out why Heaven threw you down here," James confessed, as he looked to her, "It's actually the first time an Angel's not trying to kill me with a bloodthirsty and sadistic smile on her face."

Vaggie sighed before saying, "Fine... but I want you to promise that nothing being said here reaches Charlie..." Looking away she admitted, "I'm... I'm still trying to find the courage to tell her..." She then looked at DD, "And that goes to your dog too, especially if Hellhounds are around him."

He held his hands up and said, "It's okay. If I know the reason, maybe I can understand it all better."

DD walked over to James and sat next to him, as both looked to her to tell the story.

Vaggie sighed, sitting down on a chair, "It's been 3 years since the last Extermination I had ever taken part of..."

"It was our usual duty, come down have the entire 24hrs to erase Sinners to keep them from uprising." Vaggie explained, before interrupting, "However, unlike most of them, I did this to protect Heaven."

"I had taken off my helmet to see better when I saw a Sinner running for it, but when I cornered them I found it to be a child... a Fucking kid... How in the Creator's name is doing that to a child's soul a heaven worthy goal?! Especially since I found out some of those kids are sometimes sent down here because of a curse or to be 'tribute' to a demon lord who gets his kicks on devouring the souls of children!" Vaggie paused to calm down, before she said, "I... I let him go..."

"Only... I found out I wasn't alone..." Vaggie revealed, "I was followed by someone I saw as both a friend and a superior and she cut out my eye before I could explain myself, then tore off my wings, claiming to be as bad as the sinners down here. She and Adam took my halo and left me for dead..."

"Oh, we met," James grimaced, "And honestly, I share in your hatred of those two." But then looked at her, "But what happened, um.. after?"

"After I woke up I wandered until I reached an alleyway where discarded my uniform and found some clothes to change into, which covered my back. feeling so weak I couldn't see clearly until I saw someone standing over me. It was Charlie who had been walking around after the Extermination signal was sent and she covered my eye... cared for me" Vaggie explained, "In my life as an Exorcist, no one had shown much concern over me before and well..."

She stopped talking as her face became red.

James noticed it, and smiled, as he looked away, blushing too, "Yeah. Charlie seems to have that effect on..." But then blinked, "Wait." He looked to her and asked, "She doesn't know?"

Vaggie shook her head, "No... and she can't know about my past... I grew my hair out to resemble a Moth-like sinner to keep my scars hidden. It's also why I changed my outfit to this after the 666 incident."

"Oh," James blinked, but then realized, "Ooooh." But then looked to her, as he asked, "But, I thought that... why not tell her?"

"..." Vaggie remained silent, "Charlie wouldn't like me talking about it but she went through a bad breakup with her ex-boyfriend... and I guess getting into a relationship scared her... And it'd be bad if she found out that I was an angel much less how I used to be an Exorcist..."

James was beginning to understand it all and looked to Vaggie a bit sympathetically. Though kinda blushed a bit when he realized Vaggie looked rather... different from her angry and violent toughness. He quickly looked away in concern on that, as Daredevil, who was back in puppy form, nuzzled up to Vaggie in sympathy.

Vaggie looked down surprised at the Cerbie Wolf's sudden approach before kneeling down and hugged him.

"I guess hearing the truth kinda made him trust you again," James said, and sighed, as he replied, "And... it's also helped me to better understand you on all this and why you've been so aggressive in helping with the hotel."

"She's done... so much for me... and she wants to improve things in hell after what's going on with her family..." Vaggie said, "I promised that day that I'd protect her and help make her dream a reality..."

James smiled at her, and then sighed, "Well, this hotel from both you and Charlie, is all about redemption. And this is a way you're redeeming yourself." He shrugged, "And I get it. You fucked up, in Heaven's POV. To them, you're flawed." But then looked to her and assured her, "But on Earth or here, who isn't flawed?"

Vaggie held DD closer uncertain.

James could see that she was uneasy about this, as he sighed, "Okay. I swear to this day and to you, I won't tell anyone about this." He looked to her as he assured her, "I'm not Adam."

Vaggie smiled hearing that and said, "Thank you..."

James opened his arms up and pulled Vaggie close into a hug, surprising her but she soon accepts it and sheds a few tears of relief at finally being able to open up about her past.

Vaggie was a bit surprised by this action done on to her. And probably would have punched him hard in the face or spear him. But considering what had happened and during the talk, she was honestly a bit frightened about the outcome of what James would do with this info. But was more surprised that this was what he would do. Though James assured her, "I'm not trying to make a pass, I'm just trying to comfort. That's what a hug usually does." He stammered, "I mean, well, this isn't um.." He sighed, "Dang, I can't make this sound any better."

"Shut up and keep hugging me before I change my mind." Vaggie threatened.

James smiled awkwardly as he sweat dropped, "Sure."

With Carmilla Carmine
Office

Dimitri walked over to Carmella with a bottle of Whiskey in hand, "Here's that bottle you asked for, I got the hardest stuff we had."

Carmilla muttered under her breath as she took the bottle and poured herself a cup.

She looked at the glass, then raised the bottle and drank it instead of the glass.

Zestial saw this and was surprised, "Carmilla, losing thy composure is so unlike thee. What troubles thou?"

Carmilla sighed, as she looked ashamed of doing so, not facing her friend, as she spoke, "It's nothing, Zestial. The meeting was.. it just left a bad taste in my mouth."

"Thou art speak of the V order and their new recruit? Thy knowst they desire their claim to power as reckless neophytes," Zestial guessed before asking, "Or twas the felled Angel thou speak of?"

Carmilla kept silent but turned away from when Zestial mentioned the dead Angel. It was then that Zestial pieced it together.

"Twas by your own hand, was it not?" Zestial asked, deducing it as much even before this latest action by Carmilla. However, this confirmed it as such.

Carmilla looked away, as she walked to her desk, "I don't want to talk about this."

Zestial remained silent, seeing how troubling this is for someone who he sees as a friend, which is rare in a realm of beings who betray each other or has ulterior motives for forming such a bond.

Clara looked to her mom as Dimitri stood by her, as she said, "Mom, maybe he should know."

Carmilla sternly looked to everyone, as she shot out, "Nobody should know. I did what I had to do." Franky was a bit startled but kept hidden as he listened carefully and quietly, while Carmilla sighed, and sat down, "I am not discussing this."

Her daughters sighed, as they did, with Dimitri sitting down next to Clara, as they held each other's hand.

Zestial sighed before approaching and sung a serenade to his friend, What weighs on your soul, old friend.

When she looked up Zestial had a more kindness in his eyes as he continued, I implore you to lighten the load~!

He then stepped back and bowed If it was thou who slew the angel, why not let your strength be known~?

Carmilla sighed, as she stood up, and looked out the window, I always thought... That I would keep blood off my face.

She walked up to it, and placed her hand on the glass, and shuddered, But when that thing attacked, I had to act, to cross that line and keep them safe.

She then looked out at the city, as she sighed, But if anyone knew, then all of Hell would rise to war, and who's to say?

She looked worried as she thought of the chaos that would have wrought because of her actions, Who'd survive the fray? I might lose the ones that I'd been killing for! So, I-I-I~

Clara and Odette came over to her and she wrapped her arms around them, as the two returned the hug I'll be your keeper!

Do whatever it takes, I'll make the mistakes! I'll keep you safe- Carmilla then turned to Zestial as she smiled to her friend, who seemed surprised that Carmilla wanted to keep him safe as well. and keep this secret.

Back at the Hotel

Vaggie had gotten dressed and both she and James went their separate ways in the Hotel. But she still lamented the actions and situation of today. She thought she would help protect Charlie's dream, but it felt from her expression on the 'Trust Exercise' today, she had failed. She could already tell Charlie looked like she was disappointed. So she was out on the rooftop, lamenting and remembering.

When I saw your face, you made me feel like a stranger in a brand new place she started climbing up to the point near where the sail mast head was located, as she smiled, remembering that day. And it felt so good to be understood! But there's so much I wished that I could say

She hopped on over to the mast, landing perfectly, as she looked up at the white ethereal moon that represented Heaven, as she thought of only Charlie at this moment, So I, I'll be your armour

Do whatever it takes, I'll make the mistakes

I'll spend my life being your partner

Carmilla then sung, arms spread, And I don't know what we might face

But I know I can't replace you

So, I'll do anything to save you

Vaggie looked out as she sung out, And I will try to make your dreams come true

And as if they were both there, they sung in unison, Whatever we go through

I know

I'll be your keeper Carmilla sung out.

I'll be your armour Vaggie sung out.

Whatever it takes

Carmilla went on, I'll make the mistakes

I'll make the mistakes Vaggie sung in unison.

Whatever it takes And they both sighed in a finish.

Back at Carmilla's Office

Carmilla sighed, but Odette spoke out, "Mother. Not that I'm sure that you care, but... we saw the boy again."

Carmilla blinked at this in surprise, while Zestial arched an eyebrow at this, as she asked, "He's alive?" She turned to her and asked, "And where was he?"

"At the hotel with Lucifer's daughter," Odette explained. "He seems to be holding residence there."

Zestial remained confused, "Another drawn in by the folly of the Princess?"

Carmilla sighed, "Well... at least I don't have to look hard to where to find and thank him."

Thie confused Zestial, "Wherefore art thou to thank such a sinner?"

Carmilla already told him about her taking down the angel, so this might be something she could trust Zestial with, knowing he wouldn't take advantage of it. "This Sinner... the boy that is with the Princess..." she explained, "He saved the lives of my daughters and I against four other angels."

"A mere sinner against a company of exorcists? Tis be impossible tale to believe t'ere it from another than thineself." Zestial remarked, but then asked, "And he still lives?"

"He's alive, if Odette told me. She's not one to joke," Carmilla said, looking at Odette.

Odette nodded, as she said, "It's true."

Carmilla explained, "The boy somehow gained possession of Death's scythe and slew two of them, while somehow, he wielded a holy relic of theirs. The Crucible of Beatrice."

Dimitri stood up looking shocked "That's impossible".

Hearing the first weapon being used Zestial yelled in utter fright falling bon his back, the first that they ever saw him do. Carmilla was shocked to see her old friend so scared before.

"I know," Carmilla looked to them both, "I was just as surprised to see a mortal sinner soul possessing said weapons, let alone seeing him use them without much strain on them."

"The Crucible did cause some burns on his arm, but afterwards, he seemed to wield it rather effectively," Odette explained.

"A mortal... wielding the weapon of Thanatos? Tis divinely impossible..." Zestial said fear in his voice while he breathed heavily, still on his back, "Nary a soul dare abscond the scythe from its wielder lest they wish to not fade into oblivion..."

"And to wield a weapon that was also blessed with the Holy Light of Beatrice is also rather insane," Carmilla said. She then sighed as she looked out, "And I doubt Heaven can ignore this. Which would explain why the Exorcists are coming in earlier this year."

"Carmilla, thou knowst that demons of either origins cannot touch relics comprised of holy light lest they perish in holy light... And to steal the scythe of one of the horseman... how has this rogue not faded away from a touch of it and this crucible?" Zestial asked, finally able to stand again.

"I'm not certain either, Zestial," Carmilla said, "Without knowing more about this one, this imp-looking sinner is a mystery."

"The very same forecasted upon thy moving pictures?" Zestial asked, vaguely remembering seeing such a sinner in passing. He avoided most technology for how they dull most senses, but unlike Alastor hasn't completely withdrawn should they be able to be of advantage.

Clara thought on it, as she said, "Oh yeah. He was on TV, fighting alongside the princess against Killjoy. Tried to bite her head, I seem to recall."

Zestial then pondered, "Thou hast brought such troubling warnings towards our fellowship, old friend. Shouldst the realm know of this sinner withholding two relics of power all of Hell would tear itself down to either sacrifice or make use of this Sinner."

"I think that's the last thing that's needed," Carmilla said, as she looked in concern, "If word got out that this boy is capable of wielding one of the Horsemen's weapons as well as a Holy Relic, all Hell will be in an uprising. That and the boy won't know a moment of peace. I know you wouldn't take advantage of it, Zestial, but there are the Vees that would do so."

Everyone grimaced at that thought of the Vs did find out and would do anything to possess the boy.

Zestial would then place a comforting hand on Carmilla's shoulder, "Fear not Carmilla. I vow that none shall hear what thou divulged to me."

He then turned to Dimitri and asked, though his eyes shone dangerously, "Is that not so, Dimitri?"

Dimitri nodded, "Of course, I won't tell."

Though unbeknownst to them. Franky managed to sneak out. Though he wasn't the only one listening to this as well... as from a microscopic view, nanobot cameras with Vergil's signal were spying on them.

Back Outside
Carmine building

Near the lift entrances, the Egg Boiz scavenged for weapons, parts, and garbage in a dumpster. Though they were having a blast on it, as Alastor waited patiently for Franky to return. Even one of the Egg Boiz laughed, "Ohhhh, this one smells like fun. Oh, I love garbage."

The elevator door rang, as Alastor saw the door open. Franky stepped out and spotted the others and was about to join the others when Alastor stopped him.

"So, what did you hear?" Alastor asked the artificial demon.

"First, the old guy w-was all, "Y-you're not yourself. You're the one who killed the angel," Franky went on, as Alastor calmly listened in, through twitching his eye annoyed, "..a-a-and, she was all , Whatever it takes-

"Ah-ah. What was that last part?" Alastor interrupted, curious about what the egg said.

"She killed the Angel," Franky asked, making sure it was the right one.

Alastor found this bit of info juicy, "interesting..."

He then looked at the egg and said, "Let's keep this to ourselves, shall we?"

He even flashed his demonic power to intimidate the egg.

"Yes sir," Franky saluted. But then blinked, "Oh wait. They also said an imp boy killed four angels too."

Alastor froze and asked, "Oh? Really?"

"Yeah, they were talking about him wielding a scythe, and using an Angel Relic and all, and..." Franky went on.

"I see..." Alastor thought, before smirking, thinking of a particular Imp in question with a folded up Scythe, "Very interesting…"

Meanwhile
Back at the Hotel

Vaggie came down from her room and approached Charlie, nervously, "Hey..."

Charlie turned to see her. A bit startled as she didn't expect to see her soon. "Vaggie, hey," she walked over as she apologized, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to…"

"No Charlie. please... I'm sorry I went crazy today... I just... I just wanted to help, and I went overboard..."

"James told me," Charlie said.

Vaggie froze, "He... told you?"

"Yeah," Charlie said sympathetically. "He told me you were a soldier. A child soldier of a religious cult once. Forced to follow a life you never questioned and that it was hard to trust others. And that one day, you realized that what you did was the wrong path. And in the end they betrayed you and…" Charlie looked sad, "Well. That was the day we met."

Vaggie chuckled, "Yeah... It certainly was a hard life... but when I came to... one of those angels cut out my eye... I was lucky to survive and... met you.."

"I'm actually glad I met you both," Charlie smiled. "He's probably the 2nd person who believes and trusts you now."

Vaggie was surprised to hear that, "Wait... really?" She then thumb pointed, "What about his catgirl?"

"Well, she's the third," Charlie shrugged. But then blinked, "Oh! I almost forgot." She pulled Vaggie over to the railing over the lobby and pointed to it, "Look what happened after we got back."

The two ladies look down and see all the tenants, including James, laughing up a bunch and reminiscing about the events that happened that day.

Angel launched looking at Pentious, "A-And then that buff guy stared beating the shit out of ya! And even used Danny-boi here like a bat!"

Pentious chuckled at that, as he reminisced, " yes. That…" to bed as he remembered that little event. "…. Was entirely brutal. And unpleasant."

"You think that was bad? I was the one being used as the bat to smack you," Dan said he, as he shared a bit. " and how was it a steam punk guy like you is so hard when he's so flexible?"

Bruce made a few signs and then pointed to Clint, who was laying on his stomach an ice pack on his rear, as the white tiger demon said, " It was a bit surprising to see you pull out those smoke bombs at the last second. Where do you get all those wonderful toys?"

Husk smirked, as he pointed to them and Pentious, "Least I know these four can hold their own."

"I ended up almost clawing out a couple of eyes though," Lydia shook her head.

Niffty chuckled, " I like that part."

Bruce would then make motions that showed how he enjoyed it too of the as Clint groaned, laying on his stomach with an icepack on his rear end, "I'm so happy you're all enjoying yourselves... Wish my Ass could join you..."

Husk just half smirked, "I heard you took that for the girls' sake."

"Oh, fuck you, old timer. You weren't even fighting..." Clint smirked back

"Still, impressive for a guy who holds up in the kitchen," Husk smirked. "And James pulled you out there, right?"

"Yeah, when he wasn't shouting his revenge on Lady-one-eye."

"Yeah but then he vouched for her too," Lydia said. Told us her story." She sighed, "I feel like a dick. In a bad way."

Clint sighed, "Yeah... I thought I lived through some shit... she had it worse..."

" Yessss," Pentious said. "It would explain much on Vagatha's, um.. trussst history."

Clint shrugs, "I'm surprised she didn't have Blitz go over and kill the bastard."

Everyone chuckled and were getting along on this, though Vaggie was a bit stunned, as she said, "Wow."

Charlie smiled, "I want to apologize too... I put pressure on you, brought up bad memories of your old life... Thought that this would be easy... We work as a team, and we'll figure it out, just like how they figured out how to get along."

Vaggie looked to her, smiling, and then stole a glance at James, who saw her, and waved, smiling sincerely to her. Vaggie softly smiled, as she said, "I think I did too." And gently waved back to him.

Charlie blinked before glancing between them and squealed happily seeing her best friend getting along with a guy

Though at that moment, they saw Alastor arriving in, along with the Egg Boiz in tow.

"Alastor, couldn't get rid of the eggs?" Vaggie called down

The radio overlord smiled, "Yes, well the little monsters proved to be useful." The muttered under his breath, "Very useful..." His smile quickly became pleasant before stating, "Anything happen while I was gone? You all look like you've been though a terrible ordeal."

"Trust Exercises," Everyone casually said, like what happened to them was nothing at all.

Alastor remained silent; brow raised.

Lydia then asked, "Anything of interest with you, Alastor?"

"Oh, nothing other than the mundane Overlord meeting, that sort of things." Alastor brushed off, "Had to content with so many questions about my sabbatical, however I did happen to meet the upstart that Pentious mentioned when he ruined my coat."

James arched an eyebrow, "Really?"

"Before that," Vaggie said, as she looked to Alastor, "You can give Pentious back his minions. It's not gonna be a bother..." but then sternly looked to him, "Provided no more weapons."

Pentious nodded, "I promise!" And then slid on over hugging the eggs to him crying out in joy, "Oh I missed you!"

"We missed you too, boss," they all said together.

He then dropped them, "Now get my quarters cleaned up, immediately!"

"BOSS YES BOSS" they all shouted standing at attention while saluting like a platoon of soldiers.

He ten slithered after them, "MOVE IT!"

And all five bolted to Pentious's room, with Pentious following after. James half-smirked, "Least that part hasn't changed. Can't expect him to quite cold turkey." But then felt a chill race down his spine, as he turned to see Alastor smiling at him. He then asked, "Um.. you okay?"

"Oh, perfectly fine. my young friend." Alastor stated still grinning before stating, "How about you? Are you dandy?"

"Um... yeah," James gulped, feeling a bit of unease from Alastor for some odd reason. He then backed away a bit, as he said, "I'm... gonna go to bed early." And waved to everyone, "Goodnight. See ya tomorrow."

And jogged to the stairs to head to his room.

Late That Night
Sir Pentious's Room/Blimp

Sir Pentious was tidying up his bed, now in his pajamas, as he and his Egg Boiz were all getting ready for bed. He yawned as he asked, "So, what did you to today, my little Egg Boiz?"

"It was awesome!" Frank said smiling, "We went to this tall building, saw an Old Guy! A knife lady! A robo-lizard! And even a Dinosaur!"

Pentious was fluffing up his pillow and smiled at his boiz's nonsense, "That's nice."

"And the Knife lady and an Imp killed angels!" He said while proudly stating, "And I'm not supposed to tell anyone."

"And I'm sure tomorrow you'll all see Martians too," Pentious said, not buying it but encouraging them, "Now, it's time for bed, Eggies."

All five ran up to him, as his tail coiled around them for warmth, as he yawned, "Good night, Eggies…"

"Night, Boss," They said, as they slowly fell asleep.

Meanwhile
James's Room

James was tuckering it in for the day, as Daredevil was curled up on his bed, sleeping near James at the pillows, as he was about to go to sleep. But a small knock was made on his door. He gently sat up, as he blinked, and got up, "I hope it's not Alastor. He was a bit creepier than he's usually been today." He opened the door and blinked to see a familiar purple skinned girl in a while night gown.

"Vaggie," James blinked in surprise.

"Hey... I..." Vaggie tried to say but tongue tied before blushing and then hugged him, "Thank you..,."

James blinked, and blushed a bit as well, as he asked, 'Um.. for what?"

"For... understanding... and for... not being a total Asshole like the last man I trusted..."

"Oh," James realized. He smiled honestly as he said, "I in also wanted to apologize for.." he sighed, "Well… putting your goal for the hotel in danger. That first day I got here."

"I was actually hoping we can talk about that..." She said then asked, "Mind if I come in?"

James blushed, as he stepped aside to let her in, "Y-Yeah. Um, you can take the bed, I'll take a chair."

"Huh?" She blinked, before blushing and said, sternly, 'I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear or think what you thought this is... but I need to talk to you about something serious..."

"Oh no, I meant you can sit on the bed to talk, and I'll take a chair to sit down," James blushed, as he tried to clear that up, "Sorry if that sounded like something else."

Vaggie sighed, "Good." She then entered his bedroom while closing the door behind her while she goes to sat the foot of his bed, "This isn't going to take long."

James sat in his desk chair, and looked to Vaggie, as he nodded, "Okay. I'm ready."

"First thing I need to tell you is that weapon you have embedded in your arm, the one that I thought was a chain..." She said, "So... sorry about pushing you... That looks like the Crucible of Beatrice, a powerful relic that's supposed to be in heaven."

"You mean the same one that was mentioned in The Divine Comedy," James asked, as he held up his left wrist to look. But then turned to Vaggie, as he brushed off the pushing part, "And don't worry about pushing. I got slapped and thrown around like a rag doll from a rogue robot. I'm surprisingly durable."

"That's not the point. You know how Angelic weapons are able to kill sinners? That's the same with the Holy light that is used as it's source of power. And you shouldn't have survived contact with it... Which makes me very worried about the sort of shit Adam and the others put through.. Can I see it full?"

James nodded, as he held up his left hand, and suddenly, it changed size and reformed into the gun form, as he held it out for Vaggie to see. Vaggie narrowed her eye studying it before muttering, "Ese Bastardo es una verdadera obra..."

James blinked, knowing full well that when Vaggie went Latin or Hispanic, something was not right, "Is it bad?"

"He actually did... That fucking bastard found a way to replicate the legit Crucible..." Vaggie breathed both astonished and disgusted.

He blinked, as he looked to what was on him, and asked, "Wait. This isn't the real crucible that Beatrice had?"

"No but it was constructed to be that way in secret. Adam always thought it was fucking slow to use melee weapons instead of the ranged or more powerful ones..." Vaggie stated, annoyed, "Always trying to weasel more weapons, but never worked."

"So... what does this mean? Are we gonna have to worry about more of these," James looked worried, not wanting to deal with a shootout should the hotel not work in time.

"Don't know, did you see any of them have any others like this?" Vaggie asked.

James shook his head, "Not at all. Only one of them."

"Then that proves that this is the only replica of Beatrice's cross." Vaggie assured, "I can't believe those psycho bitches actually tried this..."

"I can't believe the prototype didn't take my whole arm," James said... but then paled as he realized he had exposed his scarred left arm, and quickly pulled back, looking worried, but startling Vaggie, as the gun retracted back.

She gently assured her, "It's okay... I'm used to scars..."

James still looked a bit worried, as he rubbed his left arm, "It's just... " he sighed, as he confessed, "It's not really something I like showing off. To be honest they kinda freak me out. Which means others would get too grossed out or..."

He sighed again, as he looked depressed, "I think mostly everyone would run away."

Vaggie narrowed her eye, "Dude, you're literally in hell, where scares and gross shit are happening 24/7."

James looked to her, acting a bit embarrassed, as he said, "Sorry. I'm more of the kind that worries about that stuff."

"Let me guess you were showing signs of premature balding before you died." She teased trying to help him out of his troubles.

He shook his head, as he chuckled, "No." He sighed, as he smiled, "Thanks, I needed that."

Vaggie smirked before her tone and expression got serious, 'You need to know about Adam's number 2 guy after Lute... he's... different..."

James blinked, as he thought on it, "Hmmm, I didn't see him with either of them that day Heaven called Charlie for the meeting." He then asked, "What's he like?"

"He's a literal ghost..." Vaggie answered. Then saw his confusion and explained, "As in - he only is seen when it's extermination Day or in a private training field we have permission to use. Other than those, no one but Adam and Lute know anything about him. Unlike them and some of the 'enlightened choir' he takes his job seriously."

"That does sound like a problem," James said, but then said, "But if the hotel can successfully redeem someone, we might not have to worry about that. Right?"

"I don't know... I never saw him work but I do know that he leads a section of the Exorcists known as 'enlightened choir' and you don't get that position just by sitting on your ass. Especially with his specialized weapons. Two halo-like disks that he wields in both hands."

"He does sound like someone to watch out for," James said, but then asked, "But... why tell me this? I mean, I know we said we had to prepare should the worst come, but you make it sound like no matter what, we're still gonna fight."

"I want you to be careful should Rinze, the other lieutenant of Adam's, gets involved." She warned.

James took that into consideration, and nodded, "Thanks, Vaggie."

She nodded, yawning a bit, "I think I'm heading back to my room. Night, James."

"Night, Vaggie," He replied, also feeling a little tired himself.

As soon as she left the room, James sat on his bed and laid down as he processed what had just transpired the whole day. Crazy trust exercises, finding out about Vaggie's past, and the rest… man, the guy couldn't catch a break.
