Forest of the Dead
We were trapped. The Vashta Nerada had us cornered. The creature that was once Proper Dave came creeping toward us, "Hey, who turned out the lights? Hey, who turned out the lights?"
River used the squareness gun to blast a hole in the wall behind us, "This way! Quickly Move!" We climbed through the opening and started running,
"Hey, who turned out the lights? Hey, who turned out the lights?" called Proper Dave.
We kept running and River uses the squareness gun to get us into another reading room.
"Okay, we've got a clear spot! In, in, in!" said River.
We got in the room and The Doctor and I immediately began checking the shadows.
"Right in the center," said River, "in the middle of the light, quickly! Don't let your shadows cross. Doctor! Teddy!"
"We're doing it." I said.
"There's no lights here. Sunset's coming. We can't stay long. Have you found a live one?"
"Maybe. It's getting harder to tell," said The Doctor. Then, he tapped his sonic screwdriver, "What's wrong with you?"
"We're gonna need a chicken leg. Who's got a chicken leg?" asked River, "Thanks, Dave." She came over to us and threw it into the shadow where it was stripped, "Okay, we got a hot one. Watch your feet."
"They won't attack until there's enough of them," I said, "But they've got our scent now. They're coming."
"Who are they?" asked Other Dave, "You haven't even told us. You just expect us to trust them."
"He's the Doctor," said River, "She's Teddy and She's Annabelle."
"And who are Teddy, Annabelle, and The Doctor?" asked Mr. Lux.
"The only story you'll ever tell… if you survive them."
"You say they're your friends," said Anita, "but they don't even know who you are."
"Listen," said River, "All you need to know is this: I'd trust those three to the end of the universe. And actually, we've been."
"He doesn't act like he trusts you."
"Yeah, there's a tiny problem-he hasn't met me yet." said River.
I looked over at my uncle. He was holding his sonic screwdriver to his ear, "What's wrong with it?" I asked.
"There's a signal coming from somewhere interfering with it." said my uncle.
"Use the red settings." said River as she walked over to us.
I rolled my eyes, "It doesn't have a red setting."
"Well, use the dampers."
"It doesn't have dampers." said The Doctor.
"It will do one day," said River, then she showed us what was apparently my sonic screwdriver from the future, "and so will Teddy."
I stood up and took it from her, "So, some time in the future, I just give you my screwdriver?"
"Yeah," said River.
"Why would she do that?" asked The Doctor.
She looked at my uncle, "I didn't pluck it from her cold, dead hands if that's what you're worried about."
"And we know that because…"
"Listen to me. You've lost your friend, you're angry. I understand. But you need to be less emotional, Doctor, right now."
"Less emo…I'm not emotional!"
"There are seven people in this room still alive. Focus on that. Dear God, you're hard work young."
"Young? Who are you?!"
"For Heaven's sake!" said Mr. Lux, as he stood and walked towards them, "Look at the pair of you! We're all gonna die right here, and you're just squabbling like an old married couple."
My eyes went wide at that comment.
Then River looked at us, "Doctor... Teddy… Annabelle… One day I'm going to be someone you all trust completely. But I can't wait for you to find that out. So I'm going to prove it to you. And I'm sorry. I'm really...very sorry…."
She whispered something in my uncle's ear, my ear, and my daughter's ear. She whispered us our true names. This woman knew that my daughter's real name was Theta. That my uncle's real name was Theta. Most shocking of all, she knew that my real name wasn't Theodora, it was Theta. Like, my daughter I was also named after my uncle.
"Are we good?" asked River to us. I was too shocked to answer so I just shook my head.. Annabelle did the same. "Doctor...are we good?" River asked my uncle.
"Yeah," He said softly. Then, a little louder he said, "Yeah, we're good."
"Good," River took her screwdriver and walked away.
"Mom," said Annabelle, telepathically, "How does she know our names? You told me that we weren't allowed to share our real names with non-Time Lords unless they were family."
"I don't know," I said, "I don't know."
It took us a few moments to collect ourselves before returning to the problem at hand, "Know what's interesting about my screwdriver?" asked my uncle, "Verry hard to interfere with, practically nothing strong enough... Well, maybe some hairdryers, but I'm working on that. So, there is a very strong signal coming from somewhere, and it wasn't there before, so what's new, what's changed? Come on, what's new?! What's different?!"
"I dunno. Nothing. It's getting dark," said Other Dave.
I rolled my eyes, "It's a screwdriver. It works in the dark."
Annabelle looked up, "Moonrise." Then she looked at Mr. Lux, "Tell me about the moon. What's there?"
"It's not real. It was built as part of The Library," said Mr. Lux, "It's just a doctor moon."
"What's a doctor moon?" I asked.
"A virus checker. It supports and maintains the main computer at the core of the planet."
"Well, it's still active" said The Doctor as he turned on his sonic, "It's signaling, look. Someone somewhere in this library is alive and communicating with the moon. Or possibly alive and drying their hair. No, the signal is definitely coming from the moon. I'm blocking it, but it's trying to break through-"
"Doctor," said River, "Teddy."
We turned and saw a projection of Donna in the middle of the room. "Donna!" said my uncle. Then the projection disappears.
"That was her," said River, "That was your friend. Can you get her back? What was that?"
"Hold on, hold on, hold on. I'm trying to find the wavelength. Argh! I'm being blocked!"
"Professor…" said Anita.
"Just a moment." said River.
"It's important," said Anita, who sounded like she was about to cry, "I have two shadows." I turned and looked. She had two shadows.
"Helmets on, everyone. Anita, I'll get yours."
"Didn't do Proper Dave any good."
"Just keep it together, okay?"
"I'm keeping it together. I'm only crying. I'm about to die. It's not an overreaction."
River put Anita's helmet on for her and I walked up to her, "Hang on." I said then I used my sonic screwdriver to block her visor.
"Oh, God, they've got inside." said River.
"No, no… I just tinted her visor," I said, "Maybe they'll think they're already is there and leave her alone."
"You think they could be fooled like that?"
"Maybe. I don't know. It's a swarm… it's not like we talk."
"Can you still see in there?" asked Other Dave to Anita.
"Just about." She said.
"Just… just… just… stay back," said my uncle as he stepped forward, "Professor, quick word, please."
"What?" asked River.
The Doctor squatted, "Down here."
River squatted next to him, "What is it?"
"You said there are seven people still alive in this room."
"Yeah, so?"
"So…" then he whispered, "Why are there eight?"
We turned to the opening that River mad in the wall and there was the creature that once was Proper Dave. "Hey, who turned out the lights?" it said.
"Run!" said my uncle. Then we all ran out of the room.
"Hey, who turned out the lights?" said Proper Dave.
We ran down a corridor that connected two tall buildings, "Professor, go ahead," said The Doctor, "Fine a safe spot."
"It's a carnivorous swarm in a suit!" shouted River, "You can't reason with it."
"Five minutes," I said.
"Other Dave, Stay with them . Pull them out when they are too stupid to live. Two minutes, Doctor!"
Just as River, Anita and Mr. Lux left. Proper Dave lumbered in. "Hey, who turned out the lights?" he said
"Do you hear those words?" I asked as the three of us walked toward him, "That is the very last thought of the man who wore that suit, before you climbed inside and stripped his flesh. That's a man's soul trapped inside a neural relay, going round and round forever. Now if you don't have the decency to let him go, how about this? Use him to talk to us. It's easy, neural relay. Just point and think. Use him, talk to us.
"Hey, who turned out the lights?" said Proper Dave as he moved to us.
"The Vashta Nerada live on all the worlds in this system but you hunt in forests. What are you doing in a library?" asked Annabelle
"We should go. Doctor!" said Other Dave.
"In a minute!" said my uncle. Then he turned to Proper Dave, "You came to The Library to hunt. Why? Just tell me why?"
Proper Dave stopped, "We...did not…"
"Oh, hello."
"We did not-"
"Take it easy. You'll get the hang of it."
"We...did not...come here."
I was confused, "Of course you did. Of course you came here."
"We come from here." said Proper Dave.
"From here?"
"We hatched here."
"But you hatched from trees… from spores in trees." said Annabelle.
"These are our forests," said Proper Dave.
"You're nowhere near a forest. Look around you."
"These are our forests!"
"You're not in a forest. You're in a library," I said, "There are no trees in a...library." Then all of the sudden it dawned on me I looked at my uncle and Daughter and I could tell they figured it out as well.
"We should go. Doctor!" said Other Dave.
"Books. You came in the books. Microspores in a million million books," said The Doctor.
"We should go. Doctor!"
We looked out of the window at The Library, "Look at that. The forests of the Vashta Nerada, pulped and printed and bound...a million million books, hatching shadows."
"We should go. Doctor!" said Other Dave, or what was Other Dave.
We turned and saw the lights in his neural relay blinking, "Oh...Dave," said the Doctor. As we walked to him, "Oh, Dave, I'm so sorry." Other Dave shifted forward and we could see only a skeleton inside the suit. The two suits started to move toward us. The corridor wasn't very wide so we were seemingly trapped.
"Stay close," said my uncle telepathically, "There is a trap door under us."
"Hey, who turned out the lights?" said Proper Dave.
"We should go. Doctor!" said Other Dave.
We all gathered on top of the trap door, while my uncle got his sonic out, "Thing about me, I'm stupid. I talk too much. Always babbling on. This gob doesn't stop for anything. Want to know the only reason I'm still alive? Always stay near the door." Then he pointed his sonic at the floor and it dropped. We were able to grab onto a girder under the corridor hung there until it was OK for us to go back inside.
It was night by the time we caught up with River and the others. We entered the room on the second floor and we heard River say, "You know...it's funny, I keep wishing The Doctor, Teddy and Annabelle were here."
They are here, aren't they?" asked Anita, "I mean, they're coming back, right?"
"You know when you see a photograph of someone you know but it's from years before you met them, and it's like they're not quite...finished, they're-they're not quite done yet? Well...yes, they're here. They came when I called just like they always do. But not my Doctor, Teddy, and Annabelle. Now, my Doctor, Teddy, and Annabelle... I've seen whole armies turn and run away, and The Doctor would just swagger off back to his TARDIS, with his nieces at his side and open the doors with a snap of his fingers. The Doctor, Teddy and Annabelle...in the TARDIS-next stop: everywhere."
"Spoilers!" shouted my uncle as we walked down the steps.
"Nobody can open a TARDIS by snapping their fingers," I said as we walked toward her and Anita, "It doesn't work like that."
"It does for The Doctor," said River.
"I am the Doctor," said my uncle
"Yeah. Some day."
We ignored River and Annabelle walked up to Anita, "How are you doing?" she asked.
"Where's Other Dave?" asked River.
"Not coming. Sorry." said The Doctor.
"Well, if they've taken him, why haven't they gotten me yet?" asked Anita.
"I don't know," I said. I looked down and saw she still had two shadows, "Maybe tinting the visor's making a difference."
"It's making a difference all right. No one's ever gonna see my face again."
"Can I get you anything?"
"An old age would be nice. Anything you can do."
I smiled, "I'm all over it."
"Teddy… When we first met you, you didn't trust Professor Song. And then she whispered a word in your ears and you did. My life so far, I could do with a word like that. What did she say?" I bit my lip. I couldn't tell her then Anita chucked, "Give a dead girl a break. Your secrets are safe with me."
Then my uncle spoke up"Safe. Safe. You don't say, 'saved'. Nobody says, 'saved', you say, 'safe'. The data fragment-what did it say?"
"'4022 people saved. No survivors.'" said Mr. Lux.
"Doctor?" asked River.
"Nobody says saved, nutters say saved, you say safe," said The Doctor,"It didn't mean safe. It literally meant...saved!"
My eyes went big, "Of course… that makes perfect sense!"
Annabelle rushed over to a computer terminal and start to type way. We rushed up behind her and said, "See? There it is! Right there! A hundred years ago, there was a massive power surge, which was all the teleports going at once. It happened just as the Vashta Nerada hit their hatching cycle, they attacked, someone hits the alarm, and the computer tries to teleport everyone out."
"It tried to teleport 4022 people?" asked River.
"Succeeded. Pulled 'em all out. But then what?" asked my uncle, "Nowhere to send them. nowhere safe in the whole library with Vashta Nerada growing in every shadow. 4022 people, all beamed up and nowhere to go. They're stuck in the system, waiting to be sent-like emails. So what's a computer to do? What does a computer always do?"
"It saved them."
The Doctor ran to a table, pushed some books out of the way, and drew a big circle on it, "The Library. Whole world of books. And right at the core," He drew a smaller circle in the bigger circle and filled it in, "the biggest hard drive in history. The index to everything ever written. Backup copies of every single book. The computer saved 4022 people the only way a computer can. It saved them...to the hard drive." He drew an arrow to the core.
Just then an alarm started to blare, "What is it? What's wrong?" asked Mr. Lux.
"Auto-destruct enabled in twenty minutes." said the computer.
Us three Time Lords and River were huddled around one of the terminals, "What's maximum erasure?" asked River.
"In twenty minutes, this planet's gonna crack like an egg," I said.
"No. No, it's all right," said Mr. Lux, "The doctor moon'll stop it. It's designed to protect CAL."
Then the terminal shut down, "No, no. No, no, no, no!" said my uncle as he climbs up on terminal and used his sonic screwdriver to open the top of it.
"All Library systems are permanently offline," announced the computer, "Sorry for any inconvenience."
"We need to stop this. We've gotta save CAL," said Mr. Lux.
"What is it? What is CAL?" I asked.
"We need to get to the main computer. I'll show you."
"It's at the core of the planet," said Annabelle
"Well then... Let's go!" said River. She walked over to the middle of the room. Took out her sonic screwdriver, and aimed it at the seal in the middle of the floor. It opened and a blue beam of light came out of the hole in the floor, "Gravity platform."
"I bet I like you," said The Doctor as we walked up to her.
"Oh, you do," said River.
The six of us stepped onto the platform and it took us down to the core. We got off the platform and headed toward the core, "Auto-destruct in fifteen minutes," announced the computer.
The Doctor stopped and looked up, at an orange ball of light, "The data core. Over 4000 living minds trapped inside it."
"They won't be living much longer," said River, "We're running out of time."
We got the computer core, my uncle put on his glasses, and walked up to a terminal. Then we heard a girl's voice call out, "Help me. Please, help me."
"What's that?" asked Anita.
"Was that a child?" asked River.
"The computer's in sleep mode," said The Doctor as he taped the keyboard, "I can't wake it up. I'm trying."
"Doctor, these readings." said River.
"I know," said my uncle.
I looked over the readings, "If I didn't know better, I would say was...dreaming."
"It is dreaming," said Mr. Lux, "of a normal life, and a lovely dad, and of every book ever written."
"Computers don't dream." said Anita.
"Help me. Please, help me." said the girl.
"No, but little girls do," said Mr. Lux. He opened a door on one of the data banks and pulled a lever inside a cabinet. He ran into another room and we followed.
Inside the room was a single node. The node's head turned around a little girl's face was on it. "Help me. Please, help me. Help me. Please, help me," said the Node.
"Oh, my God," said River.
"It's the little girl," said Anita, "The girl we saw on the computer."
"She's not in the computer," said Mr. Lux, "In a way, she is the computer. The main command node. This is CAL."
"CAL is a child!" I shouted, "A child hooked up to a mainframe! Why didn't you tell us this? We needed to know this!"
"Because she's family!" shouted Mr. Lux, then he turned and looked at CAL, "'CAL'-Charlotte Abigail Lux. My grandfather's youngest daughter. She was dying, so he built her a library and put her living mind inside, with a moon to watch over her, and all of human history to pass the time, any era to live in, any book to read. She loved books more than anything. And he gave her them all. He asked only that she be left in peace. A secret, not a freak show."
"So you weren't protecting a patent, you were protecting her," said Annabelle.
"This is only half a life, of course…"said Mr. Lux as he walked up to her. He stroked her face, "...but it's forever."
"And then the shadows came," I said.
"The shadows. I have to...I have to save. Have to save," said CAL.
"And she saved them," said The Doctor, "She saved everyone in The Library. Folded them into her dreams and kept them safe."
"Then why didn't she tell us?" asked Anita.
"Because she's forgotten," said Mr. Lux.
"She's got over 4000 living minds inside her head," I said, "It must be like...being…" I looked at my uncle and daughter, "us."
"So what do we do?" asked Rover.
"Auto-destruct in ten minutes," announced the computer.
"Easy!" said the Doctor as he ran back to the terminal, "We beam all the people out of the data core, the computer will reset and stop the countdown."
"Difficult," I said, "Charlotte doesn't have enough memory space left to make the transfer."
The Doctor went to a data bank and pulled out some wires, "Easy! I'll hook myself up to the computer, and she can borrow my memory space!"
"Difficult," said River, "It'll kill you stone dead!"
"Yeah, it's easy to criticize," said The Doctor, as he worked on the wires.
"It'll burn up both your hearts," said River, "and don't think you'll regenerate!
"I'll try my hardest not to die. Honestly, it's my main thing."
"Doctor!"
"If I'm right, this'll work. Shut up! Now, listen, you, Annabelle and Luxy Boy, back up to the main library. Prime any data cells you can find for maximum download. And before you say anything else, Professor, can I just mention, as you're here, shut up."
"Oh! I hate you sometimes!" said River as she started to leave.
The Doctor joined me at the computer terminal, "I know!"
" , with me. Anita, if he dies...I'll kill him!" Then, River left.
"Are you two going to be OK?" asked Annabelle.
"Sure… Don't worry we'll both be fine, now you go and help River and Mr. Lux." I said with a smile. Annabelle smiled back and ran to catch up with River and Mr. Lux.
"What about the Vashta Nerada?" asked Anita.
"These are their forests!" I said, as I helped my uncle get the computer ready, "We're going to seal Charlotte inside her little world, and take everybody else away. The shadows can swarm to their hearts' content."
"You think they're just gonna let us go?" asked Anita.
"Best offer they're gonna get." said The Doctor.
"You're gonna make them an offer?" asked Anita.
"And they'd better take it, 'cause right now I'm finding it very hard to make any kind of offer at all." he stopped and looked at her, "Because you know what? I really liked Anita. She was brave even when she was crying, and she never gave in. And you ate her." He used his sonic screwdriver to remove the tint from the visor to show a skull in the helmet, "But I'm gonna let that pass as long as you let them pass.
"How long have you known?" asked Anita.
"We counted the shadows," I said, "You only have one now." I looked at her blinking neural relay, " She's nearly gone now. Be kind."
"These are our forests. We are not kind."
"We're giving you back your forests, but you are giving us them. You are letting them go."
"These are our forests. They are our meat." the shadows started to extend toward us.
"Don't play games with me," said The Doctor, "You just killed someone I liked-that is not a safe place to stand. I'm the Doctor and you're in the biggest library in the universe. Look me up." The shadows stopped for a moment then the shadows retreated.
"You have one day," said Anita, then the suit collapsed to the floor.
The Doctor and I turned back to the terminal and continued to work. Then, River came, "Anita!" she said.
"I'm sorry. She's been dead a while now." I said.
"I told you to go!" shouted my uncle.
"Annabelle and Lux can manage without me...but you and Teddy can't." My uncle turned and She punched him in the face.
"What…" I said as I faced her
"I'm sorry," she said. Before I could react she punched me in the face and knocked me unconscious.
A little while later, I heard the computer announce, "Auto-destruct in two minutes." I looked up and saw River sitting in a chair connecting wires to her suit. I tried to get up but found myself handcuffed to a pillar. My uncle woke up, saw what was going on and said, "Oh, no, no, no! What are you doing? That's my job."
"What, I'm not allowed to have a career, I suppose?" asked River.
"Why are we handcu-Why do you even have handcuffs?"
"Spoilers." said River with a smile.
"This is not a joke," I said, "Stop this now. This is gonna kill you! The Doctor'll have a chance, you don't have any!"
"He wouldn't have a chance and neither do I!" said River, "I'm timing it for the end of the countdown. There'll be a blip in the command flow. That way it should improve our chances of a clean download."
"River, please, no!" I begged.
"Funny thing is, this means you three always knew how I was going to die. All the time we've been together, you three knew I was coming here. The last time I saw you -the real you, the future you, I mean…" she sniffled, "You turned up on my doorstep with a new haircut and a suit. You three took me to Darillium to see the Singing Towers. Oh, what a night that was. The towers sang...and you all cried."
"Auto-destruct in one minute." announced the computer.
"You wouldn't tell me why, but I suppose you knew it was time… my time, time to come to The Library. Teddy even gave me her sonic screwdriver… that should have been a clue." I looked and saw three screwdrivers and River's diary on the, just out of our reach. The Doctor and I both tried to reach for them but we couldn't get to them, "There's nothing you can do." said River.
"Let me do this!" said The Doctor.
"If you die here, it'll mean I've never met you." said River.
"Time can be rewritten!" I said.
"Not those times. Not one line. Don't you dare. It's okay. It's okay, it's not over for you . You'll see me again. You've got all of that to come. You and Teddy and Annabelle and me, time and space. You watch us run!"
"River, you know our names." said The Doctor.
"Auto-destruct in 10..." announced the computer.
"You whispered our name in our ears."
"...9, 8, 7, 6..."
River placed a circlet on her head to connect her to the computer. "There's only one reason we would ever tell anyone our names…" I said.
"...5..." said the computer.
"There's only one time we could…"
"...4..."
"Hush, now." said River.
"...3, 2..." said the computer.
"Spoilers."
"...1"
River connected the cables and then there was a blinding light. The light was so intense that we were both forced to look away from River. When the light was gone, so was River.
A short time later, The Doctor, Annabelle and I watched as Donna walked toward us. She told us about how CAL and the doctor moon had provided her with a virtual life inside the computer. She looked around among the 4000+ people who were being evacuated from The Library for the man who played her husband in her virtual life.
"Any luck?" I asked.
"Wasn't even anyone called Lee in The Library that day." said Donna, "Suppose he could have had a different name out here, but let's be honest…he wasn't real, was he?"
"Maybe not."
"I made up the perfect man…gorgeous, adores me, and hardly ever speaks a word. What's that say about me?"
"Everything." said the Doctor, lost in thought. Annabelle, Donna and I all gave him a dirty look he caught us and said, "Sorry, did I say 'everything'? I meant to say 'nothing'. I was aiming for 'nothing'. I accidentally said 'everything'."
I rolled my eyes and Donna asked, "What about you? You alright?"
Annabelle and I nodded, "I'm always alright." said The Doctor.
"Is 'alright' special Time Lord code for…'really not alright at all'?"
"Why?" I asked.
"'Cause I'm alright too." said Donna. We all looked at each other, understanding perfectly without words.
"Come on," said The Doctor as he took her hand and headed out. Annabelle and I wrapped an arm around each others waist and followed The Doctor and Donna.
We ended up at the balcony we stood at when we first arrived at The Library. The Doctor took River's diary out of his jacket and set it down on the balustrade and rested his hand on it.
We stood there for a moment or two looking at the book then Donna broke the silence, "Your friend...Professor Song. She knew you three in the future but she didn't know me. What happens to me? Because, when she heard my name, the way she looked at me…"
"Donna...this is her diary," said The Doctor, "Our future. We could look you up. What do you think? Shall we peek at the end?"
Donna thought for a moment, "Spoilers...right?"
"Right." I said. I took River's sonic screwdriver out of the pocket of my cardigan and set it on top of the diary.
We just stared at the two items for a moment then the Doctor started to walk away, "Come on… The next chapter's this way." Then we headed up the stairs.
As we walked back to TARDIS, a thought kept nagging at me. Finally I couldn't take it any more, "Wait!" I said, then I ran back to the balcony and picked up River's Sonic Screwdriver. "Why would I give her my screwdriver? Why would I do that? Future Us had years to think about it, all those years to think of a way to save her. What we did was give her a sonic screwdriver.. why would we do that?" I opened a panel and inside was a neural relay. I showed it to the others and smiled.
My uncle reached for the screwdriver and I handed it to him. "Oh, oh, oh... Look at that!" he said, "We're very good!"
"What have you done?"
"We saved her," said Annabelle, with a smile. Then, The Doctor ran off with Annabelle and I close behind.
We ran back through The Library to get to the core, "Stay with us!" said The Doctor as we ran, "You can do it! Stay with us, come on!" He leaped over a cart, " (leaps over cart) You and Teddy and Annabelle and me, one last run!"
We reached the gravity platform and I pointed my sonic at a terminal and said, "Shortcut."
The computer announced, "Platform disabled."
Then we dove into the hole. When get got toe the bottom we ran down the hallway to the core. Once we got there my uncle, plugged River's sonic into the computer, uploading River to the core. We looked at the node of Charlotte and saw it smiling. We smiled back
We made our way back to the TARDIS, smiling from our success of saving River. When we reached reception. The Doctor stopped in front of the TARDIS about 10 feet away from the door. Then he raised a hand and snapped his fingers, and the TARDIS doors opened to reveal Donna waiting for us as the console He smiled and we walked inside. Once we were at the console The Doctor turn around and snapped his fingers and the doors closed.
A/N: I just want to say again thank you for all the nice reviews. I'm glad that people actually like what I'm writing. A small programming note: I'm going to be skipping Midnight. That episode I think is best remaining a Companion-light episode. Also, I'll be combining Turn Left & The Stolen Earth into one episode. As always read and review.
