Journey's End

A/N: Before we start I'd like to announce the part of Teddy Duncan will now be played by Debby Ryan. Also, see if you can spot the reference to "The Time of The Doctor" Now on with our story…

It's hard to describe regeneration… Every single cell of your body is changed in the process of a few moments. I could feel my face changing into a new shape. I could sense I was a couple of inches taller. I felt a little heavier all over but not too bad. It felt like the weight was nicely distributed. Thankfully the regeneration energy made the appropriate adjustments to my clothes. I screamed as the regeneration finished. "AHH!" Then, the orange light was gone, I staggered a bit on my new legs "Woah… " I felt so much better, the pain was gone and I looked over at my uncle… He looked the same…

"Now, then. Where were we?" He looked at me… "Aww… You're ginger before me…"

"Am I?" I pulled some of my long red hair in front of my eyes. I smiled, "Very nice…" I put a hand up to my throat, "my voice seams to have a bit of a Texas twang to it… Very cool." I looked over at Mom and Dad. They looked very confused. I walked over to them, "Hi Mom… Dad…"

"Teddy?" asked Mom.

I smiled, "Yeah its me…"

"What happened?"

"Well, basically when a Time Lord dies their bodies can repair themselves. A side effect of the regeneration process is that the Time Lord is changed completely from the inside out."

"Then why does The Doctor look the same?" asked Dad.

I turned to my uncle he was kneeling on the floor by the jar that contained his spare hand. It was bubbling and glowing with regeneration energy, "There, now…" he blew onto the jar, and it stopped glowing and bubbling. The Doctor smiled and looked up at us, "I used the regeneration energy to heal myself, but as soon as that was done, I didn't need to change. I didn't want to, why would I?" Then he tweaked his tie, "Look at me!"

I rolled my eyes, "Talk about vanity issues…"

"Anyway," said my uncle, "To stop the energy going all the way, I siphoned off the rest into a handy bio-matching receptacle - namely, my hand. My hand, there. My handy spare hand." he stood up and looked at Rose, "Remember? Christmas Day? Sycorax? Lost my hand in a sword fight? That's my hand! What do you think?"

Rose edged toward him and asked, "And... you're still you?"

"I'm still me." said my uncle, with a twinkle in his eye. They threw their arms around each other and Rose buried her head into his shoulder.

I walked over to Jack and gave him a hug. He smiled and hugged me back… It felt so good to be in his arms again… But something felt different… Not a bad different… Maybe it was all the time we spent apart… It had been almost a year since we got engaged and we had only seen each other just a hand full of times in that time… Maybe it was my regeneration… But I had to admit that while I still loved Jack, I wasn't sure I was still in love with Jack… It would be something we'd have to talk about when we were done dealing with the Daleks.

When we all finished hugging, I walked over to Annabelle and took her hand then I guided her over to Rose. "Rose," I said, "I'd like you to meet my daughter, Annabelle…"

"Your daughter?" asked Rose.

I was about to explain about Annabelle's 'birth' when the power went out in the TARDIS and all that was left was the emergency lights under the grilling surrounding the console.

"They've got us. Power's gone…" said The Doctor as pressed some buttons to try and restart it.

I walked over to the monitor and saw it was still working, "It looks like of chronon loop!" I said. There was a crash and the TARDIS tilled to one side.

"There's a massive Dalek ship at the center of the planets," said Jack, "They're calling it the Crucible. Guess that's our destination."

"You said these planets were like an engine. But what for?" asked Donna as she looked at us Time Lords.

"Rose," I said, "You've been in a parallel world, that world's running ahead of this universe… you've seen the future, what was it?"

"It's the darkness," said Rose.

"The stars were going out," said Donna.

"One by one. We looked up at the sky and they were just dying. Basically, we've been building this um... this travel machine, this... uh... Dimension Cannon, so I could... well, so I could…"

The Doctor raised his eyebrows, "What?"

"So I could come back!" said Rose. The Doctor smiled and giggled, "Shut up...!" said Rose then she continued, "Anyway, suddenly, it started to work. And the dimensions started to collapse. Not just in our world - not just in yours - but the whole of reality, even the Void was dead. Something is... destroying everything."

"In that parallel world…" said Donna, as she turned to Rose, "...you said something about me."

"The Dimension Cannon could measure timelines, and it's... it's weird, Donna, but they all seem to converge on you."

"But why me? I mean... what have I ever done? I'm a temp from Chiswick!"

Then there was a bleep from the monitor, I looked at the screen, "The Dalek Crucible. All aboard…"

We landed in the Crucible with a crash then from ouside we heard, "The TARDIS is secured!" said a Dalek

"Doctor! Teddy! You will step forth or die!" said a Dalek with a deep voice.

"We'll have to go out," I said as I looked at the door, "Because if we don't, they'll come in."

Rose looked at The Doctor, "You told me nothing could get through those doors."

"You've got extrapolator shielding," said Jack.

The Doctor looked at Rose and Jack, "Last time we fought the Daleks, they were scavengers and hybrids and mad. But this is a fully fledged Dalek Empire... at the height of its power. Experts at fighting TARDISes, they can do anything. Right now, that wooden door... is just wood."

Jack looked at Rose, "What about your Dimension Jump?"

"It needs another twenty minutes, and anyway, I'm not leaving." said Rose.

"What about your teleport?" Annabelle asked Jack.

"Went down with the power-loss." said Jack.

"Right then. All of us together... Yeah." said The Doctor.

I looked at Donna, "Donna?" Donna didn't react. She was staring straight ahead, her eyes were moist and her mouth open. I took her by the shoulders, "Donna."

"Yeah." she finally responded.

"I'm sorry, there's nothing else we can do."

"No, I know." she nodded.

"Surrender, Doctor, Teddy, and face your Dalek masters," said the deep voiced Dalek.

"Crucible on maximum alert!" said a Dalek.

"Daleks," laughed Rose nervously, "Heh!"

"Oh, God!" laughed Jack.

The Doctor looked at all of us, "It's been good, though, hasn't it? All of us... all of it... everything we did…" He looked at Donna, "You were brilliant," Donna smiled. Then he looked at Annabelle, "And you were brilliant." she smiled and blushed a little. He looked at Jack, "And you were brilliant." Jack grinned. I shook my head and my uncle looked at me, "And you were brilliant." I nodded, then he looked at Rose, "And you were brilliant." Rose smiled sadly. "Blimey." he said, before turning to the door, resigned in his fate Rose, Annabelle, Mom, Dad, and Jack followed him.

As the Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS I heard the deep voiced Dalek say, "Daleks reign supreme! All hail the Daleks!"

I could hear the other Daleks in the Crucible chanting, "Daleks reign supreme! All hail the Daleks! Daleks reign supreme! All hail the Daleks!"

I was about to step out of the TARDIS when I turned around and looked at Donna. She looked kind of out of it, she was looking back at the console. Then, the deep voiced Dalek spoke again, "Behold, Doctor. Behold the might of the true Dalek Race."

I walked up to Donna, "Donna? Are you all right?"

"I don't know…" she said, with a furrowed brow.

Then we heard my uncle's voice calling to us, "Teddy? Donna? Donna? It's no safer in there…"

"Yeah…" I said, "We're coming…"

I took Donna's hand and we started to walk to the door, but as we got close to the door, it slammed shut. We looked at each other and ran to the door, "Doctor?!" shouted Donna.

I rattled the handle, "What've you done?" I took out my sonic screwdriver and tried it on the door but it refuged to budge.

"It wasn't me, I didn't do anything!" Said my uncle from the other side of the door.

"Oi! Oi, I'm not staying behind!" shouted Donna, as we continued to open the door.

"What did you do?" asked Annabelle.

"This is not of Dalek origin," said the deep voiced Dalek.

"Doctor!" shouted Donna, as she continued to pound on the door.

"Stop it! My friend and my mother are in there!" shouted my daughter, "Now, open the door and let them out."

"This is Time Lord treachery!" said the deep voiced Dalek.

"Us?!" said The Doctor, "The door just closed on its own!"

"Nevertheless: the TARDIS is a weapon and it will be destroyed."

Just then Donna and I were knocked off our feet. It fell like we were in a roller coaster. I had a feeling I knew what was going to happen so I closed my telepathic link to The Doctor and Annabelle… They didn't need to hear my final thoughts.

Donna and I stumbled around the control room as the TARDIS fell to wherever we were going. We were holding onto the railing as we crashed into what turned out to be the core of the Crucible. When we crashed the lights around the console exploded, sending glass everywhere. Donna screamed and small fires sprung up around the console.

I did my best to try to restart the TARDIS, but nothing was working. Donna was crouched down on the opposite side of the console from me and screamed a little as the small explosions continued. It was absolute chaos. There was sparks flying and glass smashing. I could here Donna cough as the smoke began to choke Donna.

I got worried when I heard Donna stop coughing. I rushed around the console and saw her on her hand and knees beside the console. She was looking at the jar with my uncle's hand in it. It was glowing with regeneration energy and she was reaching out for it, "NO!" I shouted as I made a dash for the jar. But it was to late she put her hand on top of the jar and the regeneration energy started to engulf her. The regeneration energy was in the process of making a meta-crisis. Without living Time Lord DNA to regulate it, the process could kill Donna. So I put my hand on top of the jar and soon the regeneration energy had engulfed me as well. I closed my eyes and did my best to keep the Time Lord biological energy away from Donna. Soon the jar smashed, the hand fell out, and Donna & I fell onto our backs as the TARDIS continued to be destroyed around us.

We sat up and watched as the hand, that was now engulfed in regeneration energy, started to twitch as it laid on the grilling. My eyes got big as we watched the energy spread outwards from the hand and into the shape of a man. When the shape was fully formed, it sat up suddenly, shook the excess energy off like a wet dog and revealed itself to be The Doctor, eyes wide and naked.

I averted my eyes while Donna exclaimed, "It's you...!"

"Oh, yes," said The New Doctor.

Donna glanced down and quickly up again, "You're naked!"

"Oh, yes." Then he pressed a button on the console and the TARDIS came back to life and we dematerialized out of the Crucible's core.

I then took The New Doctor's hand and helped him up, "Come on, we aren't going to church… So you've got to get some clothes on."

I took him to the wardrobe and he put on a blue suit and a burgundy top. While we were in there I decided to change clothes as well. I put on a purple blouse, a black vest, a suede jacket with the cuffs rolled up to my elbows, blue jeans, black sneakers.

We went back into the control room and I went about putting up the TARDIS's psychic shields to keep us undetected from the Daleks and unfortunately Annabelle and The Doctor. For now, they had to think that Donna and I were dead.

The New Doctor was doing some repairs to the TARDIS, he jumped off the railing and put his jacket back on, "All repaired! Lovely. Shh! No-one knows we're here. Gotta keep quiet. Silent running, like on submarines when they can't even drop a spanner. Don't drop a spanner. I like blue, what do you think?"

"You… are… bonkers!" said Donna.

"Why?! What's wrong with blue?"

"Is that what Time Lords do? Lop a bit off, grow another one? You're like worms!"

"No, no, no, no, no, I'm unique. Never been another like me! Because all that regeneration energy went into the hand - look at my hand, I love that hand…" he wiggled his fingers, "But then you and Teddy touched it- WHAM!" Donna and I both jumped out of our skins, "Shhh... instantaneous biological metacrisis. I grew... out of you two. Still, could be worse."

"Oi! Watch it, spaceman."

"Oi! Watch it, Earth-girl. Oh!" As they stared at each other I just stood at the console and laughed, "I sound like you!" said The New Doctor, "I sound all... all sort of, rough."

"Oi!"

"Oi!"

"Oi!"

"Spanners, shh!" Donna pursed her lips, "Must've picked up a bit of your voice, that's all. Is it? Did I? No. Oh! You are kidding me, no WAY. One heart…" he put his hand on his chest, "I've got one heart! This body... has got only one heart!"

"What?" asked Donna, she placed a hand on his chest, "What, like you're human?"

"Oh, that's disgusting," said The New Doctor.

"Hey…" I said.

"Oi!" said Donna

"Oi!" he mimicked.

"Stop it!"

"No, wait, I'm... part Time Lord, part human…" he looked at Donna, "Well, isn't that wizard?"

"I kept hearing that noise... that heartbeat."

"Oh, that was me. My single heart," he joined me at the console, and waved his hand dismissively, "'Cos I'm a- complicated event in time and space, must've rippled back. Converging on you."

"But why me?"

"Because you're special." I said.

"Oh, I keep telling you: I'm not." replied Donna.

"No, but you are, you…"said The New Doctor, he looked a her, "Oh... you really don't believe that, do you? I can see, Donna... what you're thinking. All that attitude, all that lip, 'cos all this time... you think you're not worth it."

"Stop it." said Donna.

"Shouting at the world 'cos no-one's listening. Well... why should they?"

Donna started to get upset, "Doctor? Stop it."

I smiled "But, Donna, look at what you did... no. It's more than that, it's like... We were always heading for this. Think about it… You came to the TARDIS. And you found us again. Your grandpa. Your car! Donna, your car! You parked your car right where the TARDIS was gonna land, that's not coincidence at all! We've been so blind! Something's been drawing us all together for such a long time."

"But you're talking like... destiny. But there's no such thing... is there?"

The New Doctor held his head, "It's still not finished. It's like... the pattern's not complete. The strands are still joining together. But heading for what?" just then the entire TARDIS shuddered. When it steadied, The New Doctor looked at the monitor. "It's the planets. The twenty-seven planets."

I looked at the monitor and watched as the planets started to glow in white light, "It's a Single-stream Z-Neutrinos compressed into... No. No way…" The glow emanating from the planets started to brighten. Then it dissipates. The New Doctor and I looked at each other and we knew what we had to do.

The New Doctor ran around the TARDIS, putting together the device we would need to defeat the Daleks, "So, what is this thing?" asked Donna.

"It's our only hope. A Z-Neutrino biological inversion catalyzer." said The New Doctor.

"Yeah. Earth-girl, remember?"

As The New Doctor assembled the device, I explained, "Davros said he made those Daleks out of himself. His genetic code runs through the entire race. If we can use this to lock the Crucible's transmission onto Davros himself…"

"It destroys the Daleks?" asked Donna.

"Biggest backfire in history." said The New Doctor.

"I just hope we don't have to use it," I said.

A few moments later the catalyzer was ready, "Ready! Maximum power!"

I pushed one lever forward and pulled and pulled another one. The TADIS titled sideways. I locked onto The Doctor and Annabelle and we started to materialize in the vault of the Crucible. Once the TARDIS finished materialization The New Doctor and I stood in the doorway. I looked around and was surprised at who I saw. Besides Jack, The Doctor, Annabelle, Rose, Mom and Dad; there was also Martha, Jackie Tyler, Sarah Jane and Mickey. But also there was Davros and a few other Daleks.

"Brilliant," said Jack.

Davros rolled backwards afraid of what was going on. The New Doctor and I looked at each other and nodded. Then we started to run toward Davros, The New Doctor carrying the device.

"Don't!" shouted my uncle.

But it was to late, Davros pointed at us and electricity flew from his finger and hit me and The New Doctor in the chest. We fell to the floor, winded but not badly hurt.

"Mom!" called Annabelle.

"I'm ok," I reassured her as I tried to catch my breath.

"Activate holding cells." said Davros. Then holding cells sprung up around The New Doctor and I.

Just then Donna ran from the TARDIS, "Teddy! Doctor!" then she picked up the device, "I've got it! But I don't know what to do!" Davros sent Donna flying backwards with the same electricity that he hit The New Doctor and I with.

"Donna!" I shouted. Donna was thrown to the other side of the Vault, "Donna! Are you all right, Donna?!"

"Destroy the weapon!" said Davros. A Dalek fired at the device and it exploded, "I was wrong about your warriors, Doctor. They are pathetic."

"How comes there're two of you?!" Rose asked The Doctor.

"Human biological meta-crisis," said my uncle, "Never mind that, now we've got no way of stopping the Reality Bomb."

"Detonation in twenty rels! Nineteen…" said the deep voiced Dalek.

"Stand witness, Time Lords. Stand witness, Humans," said Davros, as he activated holographic screen displaying the 27 planets. "Your strategies have failed, your weapons are useless, and... oh - the end of the universe is come."

We watched the screen in dreadful anticipation, we had failed. Davros was going to destroy the universe and we were utterly powerless to stop it. "Nine... eight... seven... six... five... four... three... two... one.." Then the screen went dead and an alarmed sounded we all looked around in confusion.

"Oh... closing all Z-Neutrino relay loops using an internalized synchronous back-feed reversal loop!" we looked and saw Donna standing in front of the controls, sounding very confident. She flicked a switch, "That button there!"

"Donna, you can't even change a plug!" said the Doctor.

"Do you wanna bet, Time Boy?" replied Donna with a grin.

"You will suffer for this." said Davros as he raised his arm.

Donna flicked a switch on the controls and instead of electrocuting Donna, Davros electrocuted his own arm, he shrieked and Donna said, "Oh...! Bioelectric dampening field with a retrogressive arc inversion."

"Exterminate her!" said Davros.

"Exterminate! Exterminate! Called one of the Daleks. But Donna didn't seem worried at all, she pressed a few buttons, flicked a few switches. "Exterminate! Exterminate!" and the Daleks weapons powered down, "Weapons non-functional!"

"What?" said Donna, "Macrotransmission of a K-filter wavelength blocking Dalek weaponry in a self-replicating energy blindfold matrix?"

Annabelle was amazed, "How did you work that out? You…"

"Time Lord. Part Time Lord," said The New Doctor.

"Part Human! Oh, yes! That was a three-way biological metacrisis."

"Part Teddy… part Doctor... part Donna!

The Teddy-Doctor-Donna... just like the Ood said, remember?" asked my uncle, "They saw it coming! The Teddy-Doctor-Donna."

Donna smiles and flicked some switches, "Holding cells deactivated." the holding cells disappeared, "And seal the Vault. Well, don't just stand there, you skinny boys in suits - get to work!"

Both Doctors along with Annabelle and I went to join Donna at the control panel.

"Stop them!" ordered Davros, "Get them away from the controls!"

The Daleks started to move toward us but Donna flipped a switch, "And... Spin."

The Daleks started to spin in circles, "Help me. Help me."

"And... the other way!" Donna presseda button and turned a dial, then the Daleks started to spin in the other direction.

"What did you do?" I asked

"Trip-stitch circuit-breaker in the psycho-kinetic threshold manipulator," said Donna.

"But that's brilliant!" said The New Doctor with a big smile.

"Why did we never think of that?" asked my uncle.

"Because you two…" said Donna as she pointed to The Doctors, "were just Time Lords! You dumbos. Lacking that little bit of Human, that gut instinct that goes hand-in-hand with planet Earth. I could think of ideas that you two couldn't dream of in a million years! Ah, the universe has been waiting for me! Now... let's send that trip-stitch all over the ship. Did I ever tell you…" she gestured at herself, "Best temp in Chiswick?" she wiggled her fingers in a typing motion, "A hundred words per minute!"

"Ha!" exclaimed The New Doctor.

The Daleks were rolling around uncontrollably, "System malfunction…" said one Dalek.

"Motor causing interference…" said another.

"Come on then, boys and girls, we've got twenty-seven planets to send home. Activate magnetron." said Donna.

"Stop it at once!" yelled Davros.

Jack came out of the TARDIS with his and Rose's guns, "Mickey!" he shouted. Then he chucked Rose's gun to Mickey.

"You will desist!"

Mickey pointed his gun in Davros' face, "Just stay where you are, Mister…"

"Out of the way!" said Jack as he kicked a Dalek out of the way, sending it spinning off down a corridor.

Donna looked as us Time Lords and asked "Ready? And reverse!" We all eased out two rods on the controls and we watched on the monitor as the planets disappeared in flashes of light, one by one

"Off you go, Clom," said The Doctor.

"Back home, Adipose Three!" said The New Doctor.

Donna flicked two switches with her hands and one with her foot, "Shallacatop!"

"Pyrovillia!" said Annabelle.

"The Lost Moon of Poosh." I called out

"Topping. Ha!" said Donna.

"Ha!" exclaimed The New Doctor.

"We need more power…" said The Doctor.

Rose came up to us with Martha, Mom, Jackie and Sarah Jane and Rose asked, "Is anyone gonna tell us what's going on?

Donna pointed at The Doctor, "He poured all his regeneration energy into his spare hand, I touched the hand and Teddy grabbed me " Then she pointed at The New Doctor, "He grew out of that. Teddy tried to regulate the process so I didn't get too much Time Lord biological energy, but some of it fed back into me. But, it just stayed dormant in my head 'til the synapses got that little extra spark, kicking them into life. Thank you, Davros! Part Human... part Time Lord. And I got the best bit of them, " The New Doctor raised his eyebrow, "Their minds."

"So there's FOUR of you?

"Three Doctors?" asked Rose, "And… one Time Lady?"

I shook my head and wrapped my arm around Annabelle's shoulder, "Two Time Ladies…"

"I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now," said Jack.

"You're so unique that the timelines were converging on you," I said, "A Human Being with a Time Lord brain."

"But you promised me, Dalek Caan," said Davros, "Why did you not foresee this?"

Dalek Caan giggled, "Oh, I think he did. Something's been manipulating the timelines for ages... getting Donna Noble to the right place at the right time."

"This would always have happened. I only helped, Teddy." said Dalek Cann.

"You... betrayed the Daleks?" asked Davros.

"I SAW the Daleks. What we have done throughout time and space. I saw the truth of us, Creator, and I decreed 'no more'."

" I will descend to the Vault!" said the deep voiced Dalek

"Heads up!" said Jack.

Then we watched as The Supreme Dalek descended into the Vault, "Davros, you have betrayed us." it said.

"It was Dalek Caan!" said Davros.

"The Vault will be purged! You will all be exterminated!" he then shot at the central column causing sparks to fly.

"Like I was saying, feel this!" said Jack then he fired at the Supreme Dalek cutting it in half.

The Doctor examined the central column and said, "Oh, we've lost the magnatron! And there's only one planet left oh…" He laughed, "Guess which one. Look, we can use the TARDIS! Teddy! Annabelle! With me!" me and my daughter the followed my uncle into the TARDIS and started to prepare it for his plan.

A few moments later we heard a commotion from outside, We walked out and saw Daleks exploding and fires breaking out all over, I looked at The New Doctor, "What've you done?!" I asked horrified.

"Fulfilling the prophesy," he said.

Everyone was sent flying around at the explosions rocked the ship, "Do you know what you've done?" yelled my uncle to The New Doctor, "Now, get in the TARDIS! Everyone! All of you inside, run! In, in, in, in, in!"

Everyone ran into the TARDIS while The New Doctor made sure everyone was there, "Martha! Sarah Jane! Rose! Amy! Bob! Jackie! Jack! Mickey! Annabelle! Teddy!"

The Doctor and I stood at the door and as I looked through the fire, I saw Davros. My uncle saw him too and he said, "Davros?" he held out his hand, "Come with us! I promise we can save you!"

"Never forget, Doctor," said Davros, "YOU did this! I name YOU, forever, YOU are the Destroyer of Worlds!" He screamed as he was engulfed by flames. The Doctor and I turned back into the TARDIS closing the door behind us.

We ran up to the very crowed console and my uncle said, "And! Off we go!" He pulled a lever and the TARDIS started to shutter as it started. Everyone had to hang onto the console for support.

"But what about the Earth?" asked Sarah Jane, "It's stuck in the wrong part of space!"

"I'm on it," I said, as I looked into the monitor, "Torchwood Hub, this is Teddy. Are you receiving me?"

"Loud and clear," respond a young woman with black hair, "Is Jack there?"

"Can't get rid of him," said The Doctor, as he and Rose stood next to me, "Jack, what's her name?"

"Gwen Cooper." answered Jack.

"Tell me, Gwen Cooper, are you from an old Cardiff family?"

"Yes. All the way back to the 1800s," answered Gwen.

"Mm, thought so!" said The Doctor then he looked at Rose, "Spatial genetic multiplicity…"

"Oh, yeah!" said Rose.

"Yeah, yeah! It's a funny old world!" said The Doctor. Then he got back to work, "Now, Torchwood, I want you to open up that Rift Manipulator - send all the power to me."

"Doing it now, sir," said a man.

"What's that for?" asked Martha.

"It's a tow-rope," I said, "Now then, Sarah - what was your son's name?"

"Luke, he's called Luke," answered Sarah Jane, "And the computer's called Mr Smith."

"Calling Luke and Mr Smith!" said The Doctor, "Come on, Luke, shake a leg!"

"Is Mum there?" asked Luke.

"Oh, she's fine and dandy…" said The Doctor.

"Yes! Yes!" laughed Sarah Jane in relief when she heard

"Now, Mr Smith," I said, "I want you to harness the Rift power and loop it round the TARDIS, you got that?"

"I regret I will need remote access to TARDIS basecode numerals." replied Mr. Smith

"Oh, blimey. That's gonna take a while," said The Doctor.

Sarah Jane ran around to join us at the monitor, "No, no, no. Let me! K-9, out you come!"

"Affirmative, Mistress!" said K-9 as he appeared.

"Oh, good dog!" laughed my uncle, "K-9, give Mr Smith the basecode!"

"Master. TARDIS basecode now being transferred. The process is simple."

"Now then, you lot…" said The Doctor as he guided Sarah Jane back where she was standing at the console, "Sarah… hold that." He walks up behind Mickey, "And Mickey… you hold that. Because, you know why this TARDIS is always rattling about the place?" He walked back over to Rose, "Rose - that, there." he pointed to a control. "It was designed to have six pilots and Teddy, Annabelle and I have to do it but ourselves." he stepped next to Martha, "Martha - keep that level. But not anymore!" he walked over to Jack, "Jack - there you go, steady that. Now we can fly this thing…" Jackie was next, he paused for a moment, "No, Jackie. No, no. Not you." he patted her on the shoulder and stepped her away from the console, "Don't touch anything, just... stand back…. Like it's meant to be flown! We've got the Torchwood Rift looped around the TARDIS by Mr Smith. We're gonna fly planet Earth back home." Then he rejoined Annabelle and me by the monitor, "Right, then! Off we go." and he pulled a lever and the TARDIS started up and we started taking Earth home.

The TARDIS had never flown so smoothly in all my time with the Doctor. As the others worked The New Doctor, Donna, Annabelle and I strolled around the console and watched them work. As we flew I figured now would be the best time to talk to Jack. I looked at my daughter, "Annabelle, can you take Jack's spot for a moment?"

"Sure, Mom…" Said Annabelle as she walked over.

Annabelle took Jack's spot at the console and I took Jack out of the console room and into the corridor outside the console room. "What's up?" asked Jack.

I took a deep breath, "Jack… We need to talk…"

"Okay…" he said, "What about?"

"Us… Jack… I don't think we should get married…"

"What? Why?"

"Jack, in the past year, we've hardly seen each other… If we got married one of us would have to give up their life for the other… I would never ask you to give up Torchwood and I know you would never ask me to give up traveling with The Doctor…"

Jack sighed, "Yeah… Yeah… You're right… I know how much you love being with your uncle… You are so much like him…" I smiled and he continued, "In two weeks you'd be calling him and you three would be off again…"

"Still friends?" I asked hopefully.

He smiled, "Still friends…" I went to take my engagement ring off, "No…" he said, "You keep that… as a momento…"

I smiled, "Thank you…" I gave him a hug and then we walked back into the console room.

A short time later the Earth was set in its rightful position beside the Moon. Everyone in the TARDIS was whooping and cheering with everyone hugging ever one else.

Our first stop home was Denver to drop off Mom, Dad and Sarah Jane. We arrived in my parents back yard and just as Mom, Dad, Annabelle and I walked out of the TARDIS, P.J., Gabe, Teddy, and Toby came out of the back door of the house. Needless to say, my siblings were confused but once I explained it to them they seemed to accept it.

The Doctor and Sarah Jane walked out, and Sarah Jane said, "You know... you act like such a lonely man. But look at you! You've got the biggest family on Earth!" I smiled at that thought. We all hugged Sarah Jane and then she said, "Gotta go! He's only fourteen! It's a long story. And thank you!"

We smiled and waved as she ran out of the back year. She waved back and the was gone. After saying good-bye to my adopted family our next stop was Cardiff. Jack and Martha came out with The Doctor, Annabelle and I. I took out my sonic screwdriver and disabled the teleport on Jack's Vortex Manipulator, "We TOLD you, no teleport."

The Doctor looked at Martha and said, "And Martha, get rid of that Osterhagen thing, eh? Save the world one more time."

"Consider it done," said Martha with a smiled

Jack and Martha saluted us and we saluted back. Then, Jack and I hugged one last time and he whispered in my ear, "I love you, Teddy Bear…"

"I love you too, Jack…"

Then Jack and Martha walked away. I wiped the few tears from my eyes, The Doctor looked at me, "You going to be alright?" he asked.

I smiled, "Yeah…" I looked at him and my daughter, "As long as I've got you two…"

We all hugged and then turned to go back into the TARDIS when Mickey came out, "Oi! Where are you going?"

"Well, I'm not stupid…," said Mickey, "I can work out what happens next. And hey, I had a good time in that parallel world but my Gran passed away. Nice and peaceful. Spent her last years living in a mansion. There's nothing there for me, now. Certainly not Rose."

"What will you do?" I asked.

"Anything! Brand new life. Just you watch," he and The Doctor fist bumped, "See you, boss." Then he and I hugged, "Until next time…" Then he ran to catch up with Jack and Martha, "Hey, you two!"

Then, us three Time Lords head back into the TARDIS. We walked up to the console and The Doctor said, "There's time for one last trip. Dårlig Ulv Stranden."

"Better known as Bad Wolf Bay…" I said.

Soon we were back in Pete's World. We materialized on the sand on a day that was similar to the one when The Doctor and I said good-bye to Rose the last time. Jackie walked out first, with The New Doctor and Rose behind her, "Ugh, fat lot of good this is!" said Jackie in disgust, "Back of beyond, bloody Norway! I'm gonna have to phone your father. He's on the nursery run." Jackie looked at The New Doctor, "I was pregnant, do you remember? Had a baby boy!"

Us Time Lords and Donna walked out as The New Doctor asked, "Ah, brilliant! What did you call him?"

"Doctor."

"...really?"

"No, you plum. He's called Tony!"

"Hold on, this is the parallel universe, right?" asked Rose.

"You're back home," said The Doctor.

"And the walls of the world are closing again…" said Donna, "now that the Reality Bomb never happened. It's dimension retroclosure. See, I really get that stuff now."

"No, but I spent all that time trying to find you, I'm not going back now!" said Rose close to tears.

"But you've got to." I said, "Because we saved the universe, but at a cost. And the cost is him." I looked at The New Doctor, "He destroyed the Daleks. He committed genocide. He's too dangerous to be left on his own."

"You made me!" said The New Doctor.

"Exactly, you were born in battle - full of blood and anger and revenge," said The Doctor. Then he looked at Rose, "Remind you of someone? That's me. When we first met. And you made me better. And now you can do the same for him."

"But he's not you," said Rose.

"He needs you. That's very me."

"But it's better than that, though," said Annabelle, "Don't you see what he's trying to give you?" she looked at The New Doctor, "Tell her, go on."

Rose looked at The New Doctor, "I look like him and I think like him... same memories, same thoughts, same everything. Except, I've only got one heart."

"Which means?" asked Rose.

"I'm part Human. Specifically the aging part. I'll grow old and never regenerate. I've only got one life... Rose Tyler… I could spend it with you. If you want."

"You'll grow- grow old at the same time as me?"

"Together," said The New Doctor. Rose put a hand on his chest to feel his one heart beating. Just then there was a grinding sound coming from the TARDIS.

"We've got to go," I said, "This reality's sealing itself off… forever." I walked up to her and gave her the hug I wanted to give her the last time I saw her standing on that beach. "Good-Bye Rose…"

"Good-Bye Teddy," said Rose, as she cried.

We broke our hug when Annabelle came up to us and hugged Rose, "I'm glad I got a chance to meet you, Rose. Mom and The Doctor have told me some great things about you. I hope one day to be half the woman you are…"

I saw Rose smile as she and my daughter hugged. Then, it was The Doctor's turn. He hugged Rose and said, "Have a good life, Rose…"

"You too… Doctor…" said Rose.

And with that us three Time Lords and Donna walked back to the TARDIS and left Pete's World for the last time.

Once we were safe in our own universe, The Doctor, Annabelle, and I were puttering around the console. Donna was sitting on the captain's chair, being awfully quiet.

I looked at my friend with a bit of concern, "You all right Donna?"

"Yeah… I think I'd like to go home…" she said. I could tell in the tone of her voice that this wasn't the same thing as when we were dealing with the Sontarans. This wasn't going to be just a visit home for Donna… "I've seen some amazing things, made some new friends, got some exercise…" she laughed a little, I smiled, and she continued, "but I made a promise to go out there, see the stars, and bring them home… I think it's time I did that…" I nodded and so we set a course for Chiswick…

We were all in the Nobles' Sitting Room while a thunderstorm rumbled outside. The Nobles' were one couch, we were on another. We explained to Wilf and Sylvia about how the Daleks stole Earth and the 26 other planets to create a Reality Bomb to destroy everything. Not just our universe but every parallel universe. We also told her about how she helped to create The New Doctor, so they wouldn't be surprised by any possible changes in her personality. As she sat there on the couch we could see that she was more confident.

"She took some of my uncle's personality and some of my mind," I said, "But not too much. If I wasn't there to regulate the process, Donna's mind wouldn't have been able to adapt to all that information. The Doctor would have had to wipe her mind of every meeting us and everything we did together. Her mind would have burned under all that information."

"Thanks to Donna there are worlds out there, safe in the sky, because of her. There are people living in the light, singing songs of Donna Noble, a thousand million light-years away... they will never forget her." said Annabelle, with a smile.

"And for one moment... one shining moment... she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe." said my uncle.

"She still is. She's my daughter." said Sylvia. Donna looked at her mother and smiled.

A little while later we were saying out good-byes to Donna and her family. Wilf walked with us to the front door while Donna and her mother talked. When we reached the front door, my uncle opened it and we could see it was raining. "Ah... you'll have quite a bit of this. Atmospheric disturbance. Still, it'll pass." he said, "Everything does."

"Good Bye, Wilf," I said as I gave him a hug.

"Take care," said Annabelle, as he gave him a hug as well.

"Good Bye, Wilfred," said The Doctor as he shook his hand.

"What about you, now?" asked Wilf as we got ready to walk out of the door, "Who've you got? I mean, all those friends of yours…"

I smiled, "We've got each other… That's all we need for now…"

"I'll watch out for you," said Wilf, "Every night... when it gets dark... and the stars come out... I'll look up at the sky and think of you."

"Thank you." said The Doctor. Then we ran through the rain and into the TARDIS… off on our next adventure…

A/N: Well that's it for Series 4. I'm going to be skipping "The Next Doctor" because I feel that story is best left as is. So our next chapter will be Planet of The Dead. I love to hear what you guys think of this story. I'm really having a lot of fun putting it together. Let me know what you think by sending me a review in the box below, I'd love to hear from you.
