The End of Time: Part One

A/N: I decide to skip "The Waters of Mars" because I think that Teddy and Annabelle would stop The Doctor from saving Adelaide, Mia and Yuri from Bowie Base One. And now on with our story…

We stepped out of the TARDIS and found ourselves once again on the frozen tundra of the Ood Sphere. There was a light snow falling and a strong wind blowing. Annabelle and I were in our usual clothes while The Doctor was wearing a straw hat and a pink lei. When we walked out we saw Ood Sigma waiting for us.

"Ah! Now! Sorry! There you are." said The Doctor as he closed the TARDIS, "So, where were we? I was summoned, wasn't I? An Ood, in the snow, calling to me."

What The Doctor was referring to was we were in Denver having Thanksgiving with my family. I wore a shimmer, so that the family members who didn't know I was a Time Lord and had regenerated didn't know that I had changed. The Doctor was introduced as John Smith and there was no reference to Annabelle being my daughter. Anyway after dinner, we were heading back to the TARDIS, it was snowing and just before we reached it, Ood Sigma appeared in front of us and then a few moments later he disappeared. The Doctor took this as a sign we needed to visit the Ood Sphere.

Back at the Ood Sphere we started walking toward Ood Sigma, and The Doctor said, "Well, we didn't exactly come straight here. Had a bit of fun, y'know, traveled about, did this and that. Got into trouble, you know us. It was brilliant."

"We saw the Phosphorous Carousel of the Great Magellan Gestadt," I said.

"Saved a planet from the Red Carnivorous Maw," said Annabelle.

"Named a galaxy Alison," said The Doctor, "Anyway... what d'you want?"

"You should not have delayed," said Ood Sigma.

"The last time I was here, you said my song would be ending soon. And I'm in no hurry for that," said my uncle.

"You will come with me."

"Hold on, better lock the TARDIS."

The Doctor reached into his pocket, pulls out his key ring and pointed it at the TARDIS. He pressed a button and the light on top flashed twice and there was a small beep like the sound of a car alarm being activated, "See? Like a car. I locked it like a car. Like...it's funny. No? Little bit? Blimey, try to make an Ood laugh."

I rolled my eyes and we started to follow Ood Sigma. "So, how old are you now, Ood Sigma?" I asked. But there was no response.

We looked ahead and saw a city carved from stone and ice, "Ah! Magnificent!" said The Doctor as he nudged Ood Sigma, "Oh, come on! That is...splendid! You've achieved all this in how long?"

"100 years," said Ood Sigma.

"Then we've got a problem," said Annabelle, "Because, from what Mom and The Doctor have told me, all of this is way too fast. Not just the city, I mean your ability to call us. Reaching all the way back to the 21st century. Something's accelerating your species way beyond normal."

"And the Mind of the Ood is troubled."

"Why, what's happened?" I asked.

"Every night, Teddy. Every night, we have bad dreams," said Ood Sigma.

He then led us into the city and took us to the Elder Council Chamber. When we walked in we saw the Ood Elders gathered around a small table on which a censer was releasing a calming smoke. "Returning, returning, returning, it is slowly returning," said one of the Elders, "Through the dark and the fire and the blood, always returning, returning to this world. It is returning and he is returning and they are returning, but too late, too late, far too late, he is come."

"Sit with the Elder of the Ood and share the dreaming." said Ood Sigma.

"So... Right." said The Doctor as we sat down at the table, "Hello!"

"You will join," the Elders began to chant, "You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join. You will join."

We all joined hands and the second we started we saw a laughing face… it was The Master. All three of us pulled our hands away. Annabelle had never met my other uncle and I'd hoped to keep it that way. "He comes to us, every night," said one of the Elder Ood," I think all the peoples of the universe dream of him now."

"That man is dead," I said.

"There is yet more. Join us." We joined hands again and the Elder Ood continued, "Events are taking shape, so many years ago, and yet changing the now. There is a man…" We could hear The Master laughing. Then, we saw Wilf sitting at his kitchen table, looking very worried, "So scared…"

"Wilfred! Is he all right?" asked The Doctor.

"What about Donna, is she safe?" asked Annabelle.

"You should not have delayed," said the Elder Ood, "For the lines of convergence are being drawn across the Earth, even now. The king is in his counting house." We saw the image of a wealthy looking black couple, from the looks of it they were father and daughter.

"I don't know who they are," said my uncle.

"And there is another. The most lonely of all, lost and forgotten." We then saw Aunt Lucy in a cell, crying.

"Aunt Lucy…" I said, "The Master's wife."

"We see so much, but understand little. The woman in the cage, who is she?" asked Ood Sigma.

"She was…" struggled The Doctor. It was hard for us to see Aunt Lucy like that. The UN insisted on making her pay for The Master's crimes even though she had nothing to do with it, "It w-wasn't her fault, she was... The Master, he's a Time Lord, like us. We can show you." We jointed hands again and showed the Ood The Master when he was Harold Saxon. "The Master took the name of Saxon. He married a human, a woman called Lucy. And he corrupted her. She stood at his side while he conquered the Earth."

We showed them The Master releasing the Toclafane, ordering them to kill the President, Lucy celebrating the deaths with him, and the Toclafane swarming upon Earth.

"We reversed everything he'd done," I said, " so it never even happened. But Lucy Saxon remembered." We showed her Aunt Lucy shooting The Master, The Doctor holding his body and then his funeral pyre.

"I held him in my arms. We burnt his body. The Master is dead," said The Doctor.

"And yet, you did not see…" said the Elder Ood.

We watched as we walked away from the funeral pyre, "What's that?" asked my uncle.

Then we saw a woman's hand picking up The Master's ring. We heard his laugh. The woman carefully held the ring in her palm. "Part of him survived." said The Doctor, we tried to stand, "I have to go!" he said but the Ood would not release our hands.

"But something more is happening, Doctor," said the Elder Ood, "The Master is part of a greater design, because a shadow is falling over creation. Something vast is stirring in the dark." He looked up at us and he had red eyes, "The Ood have gained this power to see through time because time is bleeding." We looked around and saw all of the Ood in the room had red eyes, "Shapes of things once lost are moving through the veil. And these events from years ago threaten to destroy this future. And the present and the past."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"This is what we have seen, Teddy. The darkness heralds only one thing, the end of time itself." We saw The Master in our eyes once more, as we were able to pull our hands free of the Ood. We got up as fast as we could and started to run back to the TARDIS, "Events that have happened are happening now." said the Elder Ood.

Once we got closer to the TARDIS, The Doctor unlocked it by his remote and we ran inside. We quickly got the TARDIS started and headed as fast as we could to Broadfell Prison where Aunt Lucy was being held. The controls begin to spark as we worked them furiously, as if she could sense the danger we were getting ourselves into. But we just ignored them and tried to make her go faster.

We landed and ran out the door but we were too late. All that was in front of us was the smoldering remains of Broadfell Prison with police tape around it.

Since The Master was no longer hidden by the Archangel Network, we were able to use our ability to sense other Time Lord and traced him to a shipyard. We were standing on top of a pile of dirt when all of the sudden we heard four loud bangs coming from the center of the yard. We heard them again and then stared running toward the sound. As we ran the banging got louder and repeated twice more. We ran past discarded girders and other debris. Then, we saw The Master standing on a pile of dirt. He let out a loud roar and leap high into the air, laughing. We started to chase after him, we caught up to him when he stopped on top of a pile of rusting iron beams. He laughed and his face flickered to a skeleton and back.

I gasped when I saw this. Something must have happened in the process to restore him, "Please, let us help!" I begged, "You're burning up your own life force."

The Master gave us a sneer at us before jumping off the pile and disappearing.

We started to run after him when out of the blue, Wilf appeared! "Oh, my gosh, Doctor, Teddy, Annabelle, you're a sight for sore eyes."

Wilf grabbed my uncle's arm as we tried to climb onto a pile of girders, "Out of my way!" he said.

Just then a group of elderly men and woman appeared. "Did we do it? Is that them?" asked one of the men.

"Tall and thin, big brown coat." said another man.

"Red hair, purple blouse, black vest, suede jacket…" said a woman.

"Blond hair, red and white top, black blazer…" said another man.

"The Silver Cloak," said another woman, "It worked. Cos Wilf phoned Netty, who phoned June, and her sister lives opposite Broadfell, and she saw the police box, and her neighbor saw these three heading east."

Annabelle looked at Wilf, "Wilfred? Have you told them who we are? You promised!"

"No, I just said he was a doctor and you two are his nieces, that's all. And might I say, sir, ma'am, miss, it is an honor to see you all again." he said then saluted.

Annabelle and I both proudly returned the salute while The Doctor just gave him a wry smile and two fingered salute to his forehead.

"Ooh, but you never said he was a looker!" said the second woman, "He's gorgeous, take a photo!" she handed a camera to the second man.

"Not bad, eh?" said the man with the camera.

"No, very nice." said the group.

"Me next!"

"I'm Minnie," said the second woman, "Minnie the Menace. It's a long time since I had a photo with a handsome man. She placed herself next to my uncle and put her arm around his waist.

The rest of the group pushed there way into the photo and Annabelle and I out of if… "What are we chopped liver?" I asked.

"Just get off him, leave him alone, will you?" said Wilf.

"Hush, you old misery," said Minnie, "Come on, Doctor. Give us a smile." she reached up and pinched his cheeks, "That's it."

"Maybe it's not such a bad thing they don't want us in the picture, Mom," said Annabelle.

"Hold on…" said the second man. The camera clicked, "Did it flash?"

"No, there's a blue light, try again," said Minnie.

"I'm all fingers and thumbs."

I tried to step up to the group, "We are really kind of busy…"

"Oh, it won't take a tick. Keep smiling," said Millie as she politely pushed me out of the photo.

"Is that your HAND, Minnie?!" said The Doctor as she jerked away.

"Good boy." she said. Annabelle and I fell to the ground laughing when we realized what Millie did to our uncle.

A short time later, us Time Lords and Wilf were getting off a bus, "Come on, then. Here we are, hurry up." said Wilf. He turned to his friends on the bus and waved, "Bye. You behave, bye." We waved at Wilf's friends as well and Minnie blew him a kiss. Annabelle and I started laughing again and our uncle just gave us a look. Wilf then crossed the street toward a café, "Over here, come on."

"What's so special about this place?" asked my uncle. "We passed 15 cafés on the way."

"Yeah." said Wilf as he walked inside. "Afternoon." he said to a man walking out.

We sat down at a table The Doctor and I on one side Wilf and Annabelle on the other, "Oh, we had some good times, didn't we, though?" said Wilf, "I mean, all those ATMOS things and planets in the sky and me with that paint gun." he mimicked shooting a gun, "I keep seeing things, Doctor, I... This face at night."

"Who are you?" asked my uncle.

"I'm Wilfred Mott."

"No," I said, "People have waited hundreds of years to find The Doctor…" I thought about Jack for a moment, then I continue, "and then you manage it in a few hours."

"Well, I'm just lucky, I s'pose." he said.

"No, we keep on meeting Wilf. " said The Doctor, "Over and over again, like something's still connecting us."

"Yeah, but what's so important about me?"

"Exactly. Why you?" The Doctor looked around, "I'm going to die." I took my uncle's hand. I knew time was getting close, the three of us Time Lords all knew it… The phrasing of Carmen's prediction was just to close to home for us.

"Well, so am I, one day," said Wilf.

"Don't you dare," said Annabelle, as she took the old man's hand.

"All right, I'll try not to," he said with a laugh.

"But I was told. 'He will knock four times.'" said The Doctor he took a breath then continued, "That was the prophecy. Knock four times, and then…"

"But I thought when I saw you before, you said your people could change, like, your whole body."

"We can still die," I said, "If we're killed before regeneration, then we die."

The Doctor leaned forward put his elbows on the table and spoke up, "Even then. Even if I change, it feels like dying. Everything I am dies. Some new man goes sauntering away. And I'm dead." It was kind of true… We didn't know if the prophecy meant that The Doctor was going to really die or if he was going to just regenerate. Annabelle and I hoped that he was going to regenerate. The two of us could continue without him if we needed to but… We really didn't want to.

Just then Wilf looked out the window. "Hmm…" Annabelle face lit up.

"What?" said The Doctor. We turned and saw Donna outside digging in her pockets for something.

I smiled, "You know… If she found we were here, saw her, didn't say anything to her and found out he was involved," I said as I pointed to Wilf, "She would kill all four of us…"

"Your right…" said The Doctor…

We got up and headed outside. When saw a meter maid walk up to the car just as Donna put some money in the meter, "Don't you touch this car!" said Donna to the woman.

We all laughed, "Good to see hasn't changed that much… Donna!" I called when we reached her side of the street.

"Teddy! Doctor! Annabelle!" she gave us all hugs. "What a nice surprise!" she said, "Figured this close to Christmas you'd be with your family in Denver…"

"Is it Christmas?" asked The Doctor, as he looked around.

I rolled my eyes and looked at Donna's finger and saw a small diamond engagement ring on her finger, "So where's that fiancée of yours?"

"Here he comes now," said Donna, as a young black man came walking up carrying Donna's shopping bags. Not too long after we left Donna, I got a call from her few months ago, Donna called me and told me that she met someone. Then a few months after that she told me that they were getting married. "Shawn… These are some close friends of mine, Dr. John Smith and his nieces from America, Teddy and Annabelle. Doctor, Teddy, Annabelle, meet my fiancée Shawn Temple

"Nice to meet you," said Shawn as he shook our hands.

"Likewise," I said.

"So, Another wedding…" said The Doctor.

"Oi!" said Donna, "Watch it, Spaceman!"

"Hold on, you're not gonna be called 'Noble-Temple' are you? Sounds like a tourist spot.

I rolled my eyes, Then Donna said, "No, it's Temple-Noble. I hope you don't mine us running off but Shawn's mum is going away for Christmas and she wants to give us our presents before she leaves."

I smiled, "Of course… That's fine… We'll see you tomorrow…"

"I'll hold you to that," she said. We all hugged and then Donna and Shawn left.

The Doctor looked at Wilf, "So.. Who is this Shawn?"

"He's sweet enough," said Wilf, "He's a bit of a dreamer. Mind you, he's on minimum wage, she's earning tuppence, so all they can afford is a tiny little flat."

"But, they're happy," I said, "They've got each other that's all they need…"

The Doctor nodded then Wilf asked, "Yeah, how about you? Who've you got now?"

"No-one…" said The Doctor, "We're traveling by ourselves. We thought we found someone but it didn't pan out…"

Wilf nodded, then I spoke up, "Wilf… It's been good seeing you… But we really have to go… There's something coming to Earth and we have to figure out what it is and hot to stop it…We'll see you tomorrow, ok?"

He smiled, "Okay…" Then we headed back to the TARDIS.

It was night by the time we found The Master again. He was outside in an abandoned warehouse. As we got closer to him, we saw The Master sitting in the shadows gnawing on a bone. He had his back to us when he stopped and looked up. He sniffed the air and looked over his shoulder at the three of us standing there. He turned and faced us as we started to walk toward him. I was on the Doctor's left and Annabelle on his right. The Master held his hand out and we could see electricity crackle around his hand. He shot a beam of energy that just missed me. But we kept walking. The Master shot again but this time it just missed Annabelle. She didn't flinch, we just kept walking. The Master rubbed his hand together furiously building up power. Then he fired a bolt from both hands that hit all three of us in the chest. The pain was intense but we fought through it and stayed standing until The Master stopped. Then we fell to our knees and then fell to the ground. The Master looked at me… "Well… Looks like someone's been busy…" he took a glance at Annabelle.

"Don't you go near her," I said with venom in my voice.

"Oh please…" he said, "What would I want with progenerated Time Lady barely out of the machine?" As Time Lords, we could sense the bloodlines of the mother and father of other Time Lords. Since Annabelle came from my cells alone, he knew what she was. The Master then looked at The Doctor, "I had estates. Do you remember my father's land, back home? Pastures of red grass stretching far across the slopes of Mount Perdition." he sighed, "We used to run across those fields all day, calling up at the sky." he sat on the ground, "Look at us now."

"All that eloquence. But how many people have you killed?" asked The Doctor

"I am so hungry."

"Your resurrection went wrong," said Annabelle, " That energy... Your body's ripped open. Now you're killing yourself.

"And that's human Christmas out there," said The Master, "They eat so much. All that roasting meat, cakes and red wine. Hot, fat, blood food. Pots, plates of meat and flesh and grease and juice. And baking, burnt, sticky hot skin. Hot! It's so hot!"

"Stop it!" said The Doctor.

"Slice! Slice!"

"Stop it!"

"It's mine! It's mine! It's mine! It's mine! Eat it! Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!"

"Stop it!"

The Master took a deep breath to regain control. I looked at him and said, "What if I ask you for help? There's more at work tonight than the four of us.

"Oh, yeah?" he said.

"I've been told something is returning," said Annabelle.

"And here I am!"

"No, it was something more."

"But it hurts," The Master held his head.

"We were told the end of time…"

"It hurts, Doctor," interrupted The Master, "the noise... The noise in my head, Doctor, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, stronger than ever before! Can't you hear it?"

"I'm sorry," said The Doctor.

"Listen, listen, listen, listen! Every minute, every second, every beat of my hearts, there it is...calling to me. Please, listen." he crawled to The Doctor.

"I can't hear it… None of us can…" The Doctor was telling the truth whatever The Master was hearing was inside his mind

"Listen." The Master grabbed The Doctor's head in his hands and then pressed their foreheads together. Through the telepathic link us three Time Lords shared we heard the noise in the Master's head for just a second. Then, The Doctor gasped and pulled away.

"But that's...!" said The Doctor.

"What?

"We heard it. But there's no noise…" said Annabelle.

"There never has been any noise," I said, "It's just your insanity."

"It's the... What is it? What's inside your head?" asked The Doctor.

The Master stood and laughed, "It's real! It's real! It's REAL!" Then, The Master launched himself into the sky. We scrambled to our feet and chased after him. We found him standing on a large pile of dirt of rock. "All these years, you thought I was mad," he shouted, "King of the wasteland. But something is calling me, Doctor, what is it? What is it? What is it?" Just then a beam of light fell on the Master and we heard a helicopter flying over head. Then a beam of light shined down on us and two lines were thrown down, next to The Master then two men repelled down and tranquilized The Master.

We started to run towards them, "Don't...!" shouted The Doctor. Some soldiers started to fire at our feet but we didn't stop. We could only watched as the unconscious Master was lifted to the helicopter. "Let him go!" shouted The Doctor. Then I felt something hit me in the back of the head and every thing went dark.

It was several hours later, when we came to we were all hurting. We could still smell The Master was on Earth, but he was too far away to get an exact location. We tried using the TARDIS but she couldn't pick up his signature either. We decide we needed to speak to Wilf. Somehow he was connected to all this. We need to know what he knew if anything.

We landed the TARDIS near Donna's house. We rushed out and looked at Donna's Mother's house. We could see Sylvia and Donna on the bottom floor. We could see a light on in a room upstairs, it had to be Wilf. The Doctor threw some peoples at the window and sure enough Wilf peeked out from behind the curtain.

Wilf came out a few moments later and we met in the middle of the street, "We lost him, We were knocked unconscious. He's still on Earth. We can smell him, but he's too far away."

"You can't park there," said Wilf, as he pointed to the TARDIS.

"You're the only one, Wilf," I said, "The only connection we can think of. You're involved somehow. If we could work out how."

"Have you seen anything?" asked Annabelle, "Anything strange, anything odd?

Wilf hesitated for a moment then he spoke, "Well, there was…"

"What? What is it? Tell us." said my uncle.

"Well, there was... No, it's nothing."

"There has to be something," I said, "Maybe something out of the blue. Connected to your life, something."

"Well, Donna was a bit strange," said Wilf, "She had a funny little moment, this morning, all because of that book."

"What book?" asked The Doctor.

Wilf went in the house and returned with a book. "Here you are, his name's Joshua Naismith." said Wilf as he handed it over. On the cover was the man we saw in the vision the Ood showed us.

"That's the man," said The Doctor, "We were shown him, by the Ood."

"By the what?" asked Wilf.

"By the Ood.

"What's the Ood?"

"They're just Ood."

I rolled my eyes, "But it's all part of the convergence, maybe… Maybe touching Donna's subconscious." I smiled, "Oh, she's still fighting for us, even now. The Teddy-Doctor-Donna."

Just then we heard the voice of Donna's mother, Sylvia, "Dad, what are you up to?" then stepped outside, "You!"

"Merry Christmas," said The Doctor.

"Merry Christmas… What are you doing here? Donna has a good job and a nice man who loves her very much… She is NOT going any where with you and your nieces."

"Don't worry, Silvia…" I said, "We were just going…" Then us three Time Lords turned to leave the Noble's back garden.

"Yeah, me, too," said Wilf as he started to follow us.

"Oh, no, you don't!" said Sylvia. She followed after us and shouted, "Dad, I'm warning you…:

"Bye, see you later!" said Wilf.

"Stay right where you are!"

The Doctor started to unlock the TARDIS and I said, "You can't come with us.

"You're not leaving me with her," said Wilf as he pointed back at his daughter.

"Dad!" shouted Sylvia.

"All right…" I said. As the four of us walked into the TARDIS.

Us three Time Lords rushed around the console while Wilf stood there taking it all in.

"Naismith!" said The Doctor as he tossed the book back to Wilf, "If we can track him down…" he noticed Wilf's bemused look, "Ah. Right. Yes. Bigger on the inside. D'you like it?"

"I thought it'd be cleaner," said Wilf.

I tried to suppress a laugh and The Doctor glared at me then he looked back at Wilf, "Cleaner? I could take you back home, right now."

"Listen, Doctor, if this is a time machine - that man you're chasing, why can't you just pop back to yesterday and catch him?"

"We can't go back inside our own timeline," I explained, "I have to stay relative to The Master within the causal nexus. Understand?"

"Not a word," said Wilf.

"Welcome aboard." said The Doctor as he shook Wilf's hand.

"Thank you."

A short time alter The TARDIS materializes in a barn at Naismith Manor.

As we stepped out of the TARDIS, Wilf said, "We've moved! We've really moved!"

"You should stay here," I said.

"Not bloody likely!"

"And don't swear around my daughter… She doesn't look it but she's only a year old."

"Hold on," said The Doctor. He pressed a button on his key remote and it dematerialized. "It's just a second out of sync. Don't want The Master finding the TARDIS."

"That's the last thing we need," I said.

We headed outside and walked along the side of one of the buildings . We started to go through an archway but we turned back when we saw two armed guards. "That book said he's a billionaire. He's got his own private army."

"Down here," said The Doctor. We watched as he walked across the archway and unlocked a small door in the walk. He locked it with his sonic and we rushed inside. We walked down a hallway and heard a male voice, "Miss Addams, we're getting encouraging results from the ratio-foldback. Can you confirm?"

"The man's a miracle," said a female voice, " All the systems are slotting back into place. The shatter threads have harmonized and the multiple overshots have triplicated.

Just then the four of us looked around the corner and we saw a blond haired woman wearing a lab coat, "Nice Gate!" said The Doctor.

"Hello."

"Don't call security or we'll tell them you're wearing a Shimmer," said Annabelle

"Because anyone wearing a Shimmer doesn't want the Shimmer to be noticed or they wouldn't need a Shimmer in the first place." I said.

Miss Addams smiled, "I'm sorry, what's a Shimmer?"

The Doctor took out his sonic and pointed it at her, "Shimmer."

The Shimmer the woman was wearing and she took her true form. A green alien with spikes sticking out all over to he face. She looked like a tall, green Bannakaffalatta.

"Oh, my Lord. She's a cactus!" said Wilf.

"Miss Addams?" called a male voice, "Miss Addams."

Us three Time Lords moved over to the monitors, "He's got it working, but what is it?" asked Annabelle.

Just then the male voice from earlier walked in the room, "What's working? What are you doing here?"

The Doctor pointed his sonic at the man. "Shimm-err!" He turned into a male version of Miss Addams. Then he turned and looked at he aliens, "Now tell me, quickly, what's going on, The Master, Harold Saxon? Skeletor, whatever you're calling him, what's he doing up there?"

"He's just repairing the Gate," said Miss Addams.

"I checked the readings. He's done good work. It's operational," said the male.

"Who are you?" I asked, "We met someone like you. He was brilliant, but he was little and red."

"No, that's a Zocci," said Miss Addams as she rolled her eyes.

"We're not Zocci, we're Vinvocci. Completely different," said the male.

"And the Gate is Vinvocci. We're a salvage team. We picked up the signal when the humans reactivated it, and as soon as it's working, we can transport it to the ship."

"But what does it do?" asked. Annabelle.

"Well, it mends, it's a simple as that," said the male, "It's a medical device to repair the body. It makes people better."

I thought for a moment, and said, "No, there's got to be more. Every single warning says The Master's going to do something colossal." Us Time Lords started to check the equipment.

"So that thing's like a sickbed, yes?" asked Wilf.

"More or less," said Miss Addams.

"Well, pardon me for asking, but why is it so big?"

"Oh, good question. Why's it so big?" I asked.

Miss Addams scoffed, "It doesn't just mend one person at a time."

"That would be ridiculous," said the male.

"It mends whole planets."

"It does what?!" asked Annabelle.

"It transmits the medical template across the entire population," said Miss Addams.

The three of us looked at each other and we knew we all were thinking the same thing. Then we ran out of the room and upstairs. We could sense where The Master was and we burst into a ballroom that had been converted into a control room where the gate-like machine was set up, "Turn the Gate off, right now!" shouted The Doctor.

"At arms!" said a man then the guards aimed their rifles at us.

"Whatever you do, just don't let him near that device," I said.

"Oh, like that was ever gonna happen," said The Master. We turned and saw The Master in a straightjacket and collar. But, he used his powers to remove them. Then he leaped into the air and landed in the gate with a roar. "Homeless, was I? Destitute and dying? Well, look at me now."

"Deactivate it!" shouted Annabelle, "Turn the whole thing off!"

But it was too late, the Gate had started transmitting. Everyone but us Time Lords started to shake their heads, "He's...inside my head." said Nasmith.

The Doctor ran up to the gate, "Get out of there!"

The Master fired an energy bolt at The Doctor and he fell to the floor. Just then, Wilf walked in the room. "Doctor! Teddy! Annabelle!, there's this face…"

We ran up to him, "What is it? What can you see?" asked Annabelle.

Wilf pointed at The Master, "Well, it's him. I can see him! I can see his face.

We heard a female voice on the TV in the room, "There's something wrong... It seems to be affecting the President." We looked at the TV and saw President Obama with his face in his hands.

The Master laughed and us three Time Lords ran over to the controls to try and shut down the Gate, "I can't turn it off," said Annabelle.

"That's because I locked it, idiot," said The Master.

"Don't call my daughter an idiot, moron!" I shouted. I looked around the room and saw two clear booths, with a technician in one of the booths. I recognized it as a Nuclear Bolt. Then, I grabbed Wilf, "Wilfred!" I pulled him over to the Nuclear Bolt. I went inside the empty booth and pressed a big red button. I pointed at the other boot, "Get him out and get inside." Wilf did as I told him. Then, I started to adjust the controls, "Just need to filter the levels."

"Oh! I can see again. He's gone." said Wilf.

"Radiation shielding," I said, "Now, press the button, let me out."

"You what?"

"I can't get out until you press the big red button there." I pointed to the button on his side. Wilf did and I ran out of the booth/

"50 seconds and counting," said The Master.

"To what?" said The Doctor.

"Ohhh, you're gonna love this."

The three of us started to work on trying to shut down the gate, paying no attention to anything else going on in the room. "What is it?" asked Annabelle, "Hypnotism? Mind control? You're grafting your thoughts inside them, is that it?"

"Oh, that's way too easy," said The Master, "No, no, no, they're not gonna think like me. They're gonna BECOME me. A-a-a-and, zero!"

The a wave of energy burst out of Gate and spread across the world as The Master laughed. Us three Time Lords could only watch as all the humans in the room, except for Wilf who was still safe in the booth, started to shake there heads back and forth at a horrifying speed. As there heads shook, I could see flashes of the people changing into The Master. "He can't have!"

"What is it?" said Wilf.

I looked and Wilf and saw he had his phone out… "Who are you talking to I asked?"

"Donna…" He said.

"Put the phone up to the glass." He did as I asked, "Donna… You've got to get out of the house… Just run!" Then, the head shaken stopped and every human in the room now was The Master.

"What is it?" said Wilf as he looked at the original Master, "What have you done, you monster?:

"Oh, I'm sorry, are you talking to me?" he said.

"Or to me?" asked one of his clothes.

"Or to me?" asked another.

"Or to me?" asked a third.

A group of solders lifted there visors, "Or to us?"

Just then the newscaster on TV spoke, "Breaking news - I'm everyone. And everyone in the world is me!"

Then the scene shifted on the TV to the White House Briefing Room, were another Master clone announced, "I'm President. President of the United States. Look at me!" The members of the press who were now all Master clones started to applaud and cheer, "Ooh, financial solution …" The Master President put his hands to the temples of his head. "deleted."

The original Master walked across the floor from the machine and said, "The human race was always your favorite, Doctor. Our niece even allowed herself to be adopted by them… But now, there is no human race. There is only... the Master race." The Master and he clones started to laugh.

Has he did. All I could think about was my family in Denver. For the last 19 years they were all the family I knew about. Now, they were gone… Change by The Master into clones of himself. Mom, Dad, PJ, Gabe, Charlie, Toby… They were now all The Master. I turned to the Doctor and started to cry into his chest… He wrapped his arms around me to comfort me,

"Done worry, Teddy… We'll get them back… "

I was to upset to respond. I just continued to stand there and cry into my uncle's chest as all the Masters continued to laugh
