The Vampires of Venice

We got to the pub where Rory was having his stag night and saw the large cake for the stripper to pop out of. The Doctor thought it would be a good idea for one of us to sneak in the pub using the cake. But, he didn't want to get in the cake. Needless to say, I didn't want to get in the cake and neither did Annabelle. So, we did what any group of people would do when none of them wanted to do something that needed to be done… We drew straws… I drew the short straw…

So there, I was crouched in the cake and I heard the sound of men laughing. Then I heard the song, "The Stripper" the men started to chant, "Out! Out! Out!"

I popped out of the top of the cake. The chanting stopped but the music continued to play. I looked around and smiled when I saw Rory as he shook his head in disbelief, "Rory! Thank god… I thought for sure that some how The Doctor messed up and I'd end up burst out of the wrong cake." The music stopped and I continued, "That reminds me, there's a nice girl named Lucy outside in a bikini. Could someone let her in and give her something to wear." Then, I climbed out of the cake, and walked over to Rory, "Now, then. Rory. We need to talk about your fiancée… She tried to kiss my uncle…" Everyone gasped, "I know…" I said to the group, then I looked back at Rory, "Amy needs your to help get her head back on straight… Come on…" I took Rory's hand, pulled him out of the pub and to the waiting TARDIS.

When Rory and I got back, The Doctor was in a harness seat doing some welding work on the underside of the console area, Annabelle was on the creeper, under the console itself, with her sonic doing some adjustments.

Amy was pacing around nervously around the console, while Rory looked down through the glass floor of the console and watched The Doctor, "Oh! The life out there, it dazzles. I mean, it blinds you to the things that are important. I've seen it devour relationships and plans…" said The Doctor. Then there was a small explosion, "Ohhh! It's meant to do that."

"No, it's not…" said Annabelle, from under the console.

I smiled as The Doctor continued, "because for one person to have seen all that, to taste the glory and then go back, it WILL tear you apart. So...we're sending you somewhere. Together."

"Whoa! What, like a date?" asked Amy.

I nodded as The Doctor made his way up from the underside of the console, "Anywhere you want, any time you want," I said, "There's one condition, though it has to be amazing."

Annabelle pulled herself out from under the console and stood up, "The Moulin Rouge in 1890! The first Olympic Games! Think of it as our wedding present to you."

"Because, frankly, it's either this or tokens," said The Doctor, he looked at Rory and saw the stunned expression, "It's a lot to take in, isn't it?" The Doctor headed up the set of stairs to the upper level, "Tiny box, huge room inside. What's that about? Let me explain."

"It's another dimension," said Rory

The Doctor walked down the stairs and said, "It's basically another dimen... What?"

"After Prisoner Zero, I've been reading up on all the latest scientific theories; FTL travel, parallel universes."

The Doctor walked up to Rory, got right in his face and said, "I like the bit when someone says, 'It's bigger on the inside!' I always look forward to that."

"So, this date," said Amy as she tried to changed the subject, "I'm kind of done with running down corridors. What do you think, Rory?"

I smiled, "I know just the place. How about somewhere… Romantic?" Then, I pulled the large lever on the console and set the TARDIS into motion.

Once the TARDIS landed we stepped out and found ourselves in a marketplace, "Venice!" said The Doctor, "Venezia! La Serenissima! Impossible city. Preposterous city!"

"It was founded by refugees running from Attila the Hun," said Annabelle, "It was just a collection of little wooden huts in the marsh, but became one of the most powerful cities in the world."

"Constantly being invaded, constantly flooding... constantly... Just beautiful! Oh, you gotta love Venice."

"A lot of people did," I said, "Lord Byron, Napoleon," I looked at my uncle and gave him smile, "Casanova."

"Oooh, that reminds me." said The Doctor, as he checked his watch, "1580. That's all right. Casanova doesn't get born for 145 years. Don't want to run into him. I owe him a chicken."

"You owe Casanova a chicken?" asked Rory.

"It's a long story," I said, "They had a bet."

Just then an official looking man dressed in black stepped out in front of us, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Papers, if you please. Proof of residency, current bill of medical inspection."

The Doctor took out his psychic paper, "There you go, fella," The official and "All to your satisfaction, I think you'll find."

The official bowed deeply, "I am so sorry, Your Holiness. I didn't realize".

"No worries," said The Doctor, "You were just doing your job. Sorry, what exactly is your job?"

"Checking for aliens, visitors from foreign lands what might bring the plague with them."

"Oh, that's nice, See where you bring me?" said Amy, the she slapped me on the arm, "The plague!"

"Hey!" I said. I looked at The Doctor and I saw a smile on his face. He obviously enjoyed not being hit.

"Don't worry, Viscountess," said the official as he bowed at toward Amy. Amy sighed and he continued speaking, "No, we're under quarantine here, no-one comes in, no-one goes out, and all because of the grace and wisdom of our patron, Signora Rosanna Calvierri." he pointed to the crest on the box he was carrying.

"Interesting," I said, "I heard the plague died out years ago." I said as I looked at Amy.

"Not out there. No, Signora Calvierri has seen it with her own eyes. Streets are piled high with bodies, she said."

"Really?"

Rory took the psychic paper from the official and then the official walked way. The Doctor headed into the city and Amy followed. Rory looked at the psychic paper and then his fiancée "According to this, I am your eunuch!"

"Oh, yeah, I'll explain later," said Amy. I rolled my eyes and we followed The Doctor. We stopped at a canal and looked around. On the other side of the canal we saw a group of young women in white dresses, there heads covered by veils, standing in two lines. Then another woman walked to the front of the procession and they walked into the courtyard across the canal.

Just then an older black man came up to the group and started lifting the girls' veils, "Where's my Isabella?" we heard him shout, "Isabella! Isabella!" he found a young black woman and he said, "It's me!" one of the other girls came up to him and hiss at him. I could see fangs in the young woman's mouth. The black man fell to the ground, then a young man came up to the older man, put a boot on his chest, said something to him and left with a swirl of his cloak.

The Doctor, Annabelle and I looked at each other and then ran off to the nearest bridge. We made it to the other side of the canal and found the black man he was walking away we ran behind him, leapt onto the bottom step of a starway and The Doctor called out, "Who were those girls?"

The man stopped and looked at us, "I thought everyone knew about the Calvierri school."

"It's our first day here," I said as we stepped down off the step.

"Parents do all sorts of things to get their children into good schools," said The Doctor, "They move house, they change religion."

"So, why are you trying to get her out?" asked Annabelle.

"Something happens in there," said the man, "Something magical, something evil. My own daughter didn't recognize me. And the girl who pushed me away, her face... like an animal."

The Doctor put his arm around the man's shoulder, "I think it's time we meet this Signora Calvierri."

The man, who's name we learned was Guido," took us to the front door of the school. He walked up the guards while we stayed hidden, "You have my daughter. Isabella!" He said.

"You're not coming in, stop there! We've told you…" said the guards

While Guido distracted the guards, we snuck alongside the building to the edge of the canal were there was a gate. "You have my daughter. Isabella! I demand you let me see my daughter." said Guido. The Doctor used his sonic on the gate, and we went inside, "Isabella! It's me! It's your father."

"I'll arrest you…" said the guard.

"Isabella!" shouted Guido. I gave him the hi sign and he left.

Us Time Lords headed down the nearest staircase and into a chamber under the school. On one wall was a mirror, "Hello, handsome." He straightened his tie and checked his teeth. I just rolled my eyes.

Then we heard a group of female voices ask, "Who are you?"

We turned around to see the group of girls from earlier right behind us. We turned and looked at the mirror and they weren't casting a reflection! We looked back and forth several times before Annabelle asked, "How are you doing that?"

"I... am... loving it," said The Doctor, "You're like Houdini, only five scary girls, only he was shorter. WILL BE shorter." I smacked his shoulder to stop him from talking ,"I'm rambling."

"I'll ask you again, signor. Who are you?"

"Why don't you check THIS out?" He said as he pulled out a wallet.

I looked at the wallet he was holding. It didn't look like the oneThen I stepped forward to look at what he was holding. It was an ID with a photo of his first incarnation. "That's your Library card!" I said.

He put the wallet away, "Of course, it's with... He's... I need the spare. Pale, creepy girls who don't like sunlight and can't be seen in…" He looked at Annabelle and me, "Are you two thinking what I think I'm thinking?"

"I think so," I said to The Doctor, "But, why shut down the city? Unless…"

"Leave now," said the girls, "or we shall call for the steward... if you are lucky."

"Ooh!" said The Doctor as the girls hissed and bared there fangs, as they advanced toward us. "Tell us the whole plan." The girls still walked toward us, "One day that might work.."

"Listen, we would love to stay here." said Annabelle, as we started to back away.

"This whole thing... I'm thrilled. Oh, this is Christmas!" said The Doctor then we ran up the stairs and out of the school.

We ran back to the other side of the canal and ran into Amy, "Doctor! Teddy! Annabelle!" she said.

"We just met some vampires!" said The Doctor.

"We just saw a vampire!"

"And creepy girls and everything," said Annabelle.

"Vampires!" said Amy.

The three of them started to jump up and down. I shook my head at them and turned and saw Rory come up to us, "We think we just saw a vampire."

"Yeah," I said, "Amy was just telling us."

"Yeah!" said Amy, "Teddy, Annabelle and The Doctor actually went to their house."

"Oh. Right. Well…" nodded Rory.

"OK, so…" said The Doctor as he slapped his hands on Rory's cheeks, "first we need to get back in there somehow."

"What?!"

"How do we do that?" asked Amy

"Back in where?!"

"Come and meet our new friend," said The Doctor.

That night, we took Amy and Rory to Guido's house. The Doctor, Amy, Annabelle and I sat at the table while Guido showed us a map of Venice. For some reason, Rory was sitting among a group of barrels.

"As you saw, there's no clear way in," said Guido, "The House of Calvierri is like a fortress. But there's a tunnel underneath it, with a ladder and shaft that leads up into the house. I tried to get in once myself, but I hit a trapdoor."

"You need someone on the inside," said Amy.

"No," I said.

"You don't even know what I was going to say!"

I turned and looked at her, "We pretend you're an applicant for the school to get you inside and tonight you come down and open the trapdoor to let us in."

"Oh. So you know what I was going to say!"

"Are you insane?" asked Rory.

"We don't have another option," said Amy.

"Teddy said no, Amy. Listen to her."

"There is another option," said Guido, as he pointed at Rory, " I work at the Arsenal. We build the warships for the navy."

The Doctor got up and sniffed the barrels, "Gunpowder," He put a hand on Rory's shoulder, as he continued, "Most people just nick stationery from where they work." Rory carefully slid off the barrel he was sitting on and backed away into a dead rabbit hanging by the fireplace. "Look, I have a thing about guns and huge quantities of explosive." said The Doctor.

"What do you suggest, then?" asked Guido, "We wait until they turn her into an animal?" then he turned away and poked the fire.

"I'll be there three, four hours tops." said Amy.

The Doctor gave her a small smile, "No, no, no, no, no, no. It can't keep happening like this. This is how they go," he sat on the bed, and put his head in hands. He then took a breath and sat back up, "But I have to know. We go together. Say you're my daughter."

"What?! Don't listen to him!" said Rory.

"Your daughter? You look about nine." said Amy.

"Brother?" asked Annabelle.

"Too weird. Fiancé."

"I'm not having him run around telling people he's your fiancé," said Rory.

"No. No, you're right."

"Thank you,"

"I mean, they've already seen the Doctor, Teddy and Annabelle," said Amy, "You should do it."

"Me?" asked Rory.

"Yeah! You can be my brother," she playfully rubbed his head.

"Why is him being your brother weird, but with me, it's OK?"

Guido came over to The Doctor, "Actually, I thought you WERE her fiancé."

"You're not helping," I said to Guido.

"This whole thing is mental! They're VAMPIRES, for God's sake." said Rory.

"We hope," I said.

"So if they're not vampires...?" asked Rory.

"It makes you think what could be so bad it doesn't actually mind us thinking it's a vampire?"

So Rory and Amy borrowed some clothes from Guido, and Rory took Amy to the Calvierri School and she was accepted. That night, Guido took us by gondola to the Calvierri School. I looked over at Rory, and I could tell by the look on his face he was worried. I took his hand and said, "She'll be fine."

"You can promise me that, can you?" he asked

"Yes," I said with confidence. Ever since The Doctor and I lost Rose, I promised myself that we would never lose another companion like that.

Soon, the gondola has arrived at its destination, "We're here." said Guido.

The Doctor stepped out of the gondola, and pulled a torch off the wall before opening the gate. Rory, Annabelle and I followed while Guido stayed with the gondola, "Right," said The Doctor, " OK, I'll go first. If anything happens to me, go back…"

"What happened?" interrupted Rory, "Between you and Amy? Teddy said Amy kissed you."

The Doctor stopped just outside a wooden door, turned and looked at Rory, "

NOW?! You want to do this NOW?!" he went up some wooden steps towards door.

"I have a right to know," said Rory as we all followed The Doctor, "I'm getting married in 430 years."

"She was frightened, I was frightened, but we survived, and the relief of it... and so she kissed me."

"And you kissed her back?"

"No. I kissed her mouth."

"Funny."

"Rory…" said The Doctor. He stopped and looked at him," Rory, she kissed me because I was there. It would have been you," he tapped Rory on the chest, "it SHOULD have been you."

"Yeah."

"Exactly. That's why we brought you here."

Just then a strong gust of wind blew out the torch The Doctor was carrying, "Can we go and see the vampires now?" I asked. We went inside and The Doctor pushed open the grate that covered a well. The three of us gave the Doctor a boost. Then, Rory and I helped Annabelle up, then Annabelle and The Doctor helped me up with a boost from Rory. I looked around and saw we were in a courtyard. Then Annabelle and I pulled Rory up.

"Amy!" whispered The Doctor, "Where's Amy? I can't see a thing."

"Just as well I brought this, then," Rory then pulled out a small flashlight out of his jacket

The Doctor pulls out a long, large light from under his jacket, "Ultraviolet. Portable sunlight."

"Yours is bigger than mine," said Rory.

"Let's not go there," I said.

Rory sighed. "What's wrong?" asked Annabelle.

"I was just thinking… If we cancel now, we lose the deposit on the village hall, the salsa band…" said Rory. I rolled my eyes, as The Doctor opened a chest in the courtyard. Inside were skeletal remains. "What happened to them?"

"It looks like they've had all the moisture taken out of them," I said.

"That's what vampires do, right?" asked Rory, "They drink your blood and replace it with their own."

The Doctor used his sonic and scanned the remains, "Yeah, except they haven't just had their blood taken, but all the water in their bodies."

"Why did they die? Why aren't they like the girls in the school?"

"Maybe not everyone survives the process," said Annabelle.

Rory walked away in frustration then stops and pointed at The Doctor, "You know what's dangerous about you, Doctor? It's not that you make people take risks. It's that you make them want to impress you. You make it so they don't want to let you down. You have no idea how dangerous you make people to themselves when you're around."

Then we heard female voices ask, "Who are you?"

We looked around and saw six girls appear, each from her own archway. The Doctor held up the ultraviolet light up to them as they got closer," We should run," he said, "Run!"

We ran out of the courtyard followed by the girls. We ran along a corridor but stopped when we encountered a woman and two men.

"Cab for Amy Pond?" asked The Doctor.

Just then the girls approached from the other end of the corridor, blocking our escape.

"This rescue plan, not exactly watertight, is it?" said the woman.

The Doctor brandished the light to hold back the girls. "Ha-ha!"

Just then Amy and a black girl ran into the corridor from an intersecting hall. I recognized her as the girl that Guido was looking for Isabella. "Rory!" called Amy as she went to him.

"Amy!" he said.

"Quickly, through here!" said Isabella. She ran back the way she and Amy came. We followed her with The Doctor bringing up the rear.

"They're not vampires!" said Amy.

I could hear The Doctor using his sonic on something, "What?!" he said

"I saw them, I saw her. They're not vampires. They're aliens!"

The Doctor just chuckled, "Classic!"

"That's GOOD news?!" shouted Rory, "What is wrong with you people?!"

The Doctor urged us forward into the passage, "Come on, move!" he called out., "Keep moving! Come on, guys."

Isabella opened the doorway and took us down the stairs to the canal where Guido was waiting. It was now morning and the sun was shinning bright "Quickly. Get out. Quick!" said Isabella, as we all ran past her. Isabella was stopped by the bright sunlight and put up her hands to block her eyes.

"Oh…" said The Doctor as he ran to help her, "Come on, run!"

"I can't!" she said, then she was drug back inside by the other girls and the door closed.

The Doctor pounded on the door and was shocked by an electric field on the door. He fell to the ground and Rory, Amy, Annabelle and I went to check on him. "Is he dead?" asked Amy.

"No, he's breathing," said Rory.

I looked back at Guido. I could tell by the look on his face, he knew he would never see his daughter again.

We had Guido take Amy and Rory back to his house. While the three of us, snuck back into the school. We found our way to the throne room and The Doctor had a seat on the throne. While Annabelle stood on his left and I stood on his right. Just then Signora Calvierri came into the room. The Doctor gave her a wolf whistle and said, "Long way from Saturnyne, aren't you... Sister of the Water?"

"No, let me guess," said the Signora, "The owners of the psychic paper. Then I take it you're refugees, like me?"

"Tell you what. We'll make you a deal. An answer for an answer." She nodded in agreement. Then he continued, "You're using a perception filter. It doesn't change your features, but manipulates the brainwaves of the person looking at you. But seeing one of you for the first time in, say, a mirror, the brain doesn't know what to fill the gap with, so leaves it blank... hence no reflection.

"Your question?"

"Why can we see your big teeth?"

The Signora laughed, "Self-preservation over-rides the mirage. The subconscious perceives the threat and tries to alert the conscious brain."

"Where's Isabella?" I asked.

"My turn. Where are you from?"

"Gallifrey," I answered,

"You all should be in a museum. Or in a mausoleum."

"Why are you here?" asked Annabelle.

"We ran from the silence. Why are you here?"

"Wedding present," said The Doctor, "The silence?"

"There were cracks," said the Signora, "Some were tiny... some were as big as the sky. Through some we saw worlds and people and through others we saw silence... and the end of all things. We fled to an ocean like ours and the crack snapped shut behind us... and Saturnyne was lost."

"So Earth is to become Saturnyne Mark II?" I asked.

"And you all can help me. We can build a new society here, as others have. What do you say?"

"Hmm," said The Doctor as he stood and walked up to her, Annabelle and I walked with him. Then he asked, "Where's Isabella?"

"Isabella?"

"The girl who saved my friend."

"Oh, deserters must be executed. Any general will tell you that. I need an answer, Doctor. A partnership. Any which way you choose."

"I don't think that's such a good idea, do you? I'm a Time Lord. You're a big fish. Think of the children."

"Carlo!" called the Signora, "You're right. We're nothing alike. I will bend the heavens to save my race, while YOU philosophize." one of the men from earlier walked into the room.

"This ends today," said The Doctor, "My nieces and I'll tear down the House of Calvierri, stone by stone." the man put a hand on my uncle's chest to get him to move, "Take your hands off me, Carlo." said The Doctor. Then, he walked to the door while Annabelle and I followed. Then he stopped and turned, "And you know why? You didn't know Isabella's name." Carlo opened the door, and my uncle repeated, "You didn't know Isabella's name." Then we left.

We went back to Gudio's house and all sat at the table as The Doctor examined the bites on Amy's neck with his sonic screwdriver. "You're fine," he said, "Open wide." Then he slip a candy in her mouth and Shouted in frustration as he started to pace, "I need to think. Come on brain, think, think. Think!" Then he sat at the head of the table, "Think!"

Amy, who was sitting to The Doctor's right, tried to talk with the candy in her mouth, "If they're fish people, it explains why they hate the sun."

"Stop talking, brain thinking. Hush."

"It's the school thing I don't understand," said Rory as he sat on The Doctor's left.

The Doctor put his other hand over Rory's mouth, "Stop talking, brain thinking. Hush.

"I say we take the fight to them," said Guido.

"Ah-ah-ah!" said The Doctor.

"What?"

"Ah!" said The Doctor as he nodded at Rory. Rory placed his hand over Guido's mouth. I rolled my eyes as The Doctor continued, "Her planet dies, so they flee through a crack in space and time, and end up here, then she closes off the city and, one by one, changes people into creatures like her to start a new gene pool. Got it. Then what? They come from the sea, they can't survive forever on land, so what's she going to do? Unless she's going to do something to the environment to make the city habitable... She said, 'I shall bend the heavens to save my race.'" Then The Doctor moved his hands from Amy and Rory's mouths to the top of their heads and forced them to nod, "Bend the heavens... Bend... the heavens…"

I started running the words the Signora said in my head. Then, it came to me, "She's going to sink Venice." I said.

"She's... she's going to sink Venice?" asked Guido

"And repopulate it with the girls she's transformed," said The Doctor.

"You can't repopulate somewhere with just women," said Rory, "You need... Blokes."

"She's got blokes," said Amy.

"Where?" asked The Doctor.

"In the canal. She said to me, 'There are 10,000 husbands waiting in the water.'"

"So then, only her male offspring survived the journey here," said Annabelle, "She's got 10,000 children swimming in the canals, waiting for her to make them some compatible mates."

"Ew," said The Doctor, "I mean, I've been around a bit, but, really, that's... that's... Ew."

Just then there was a loud banging upstairs and we all looked up. I gave a little nervous laugh, "The people upstairs are very noisy."

"There aren't any people upstairs," said Guido

"I was afraid you were going to say that," I said. Then the wood creaked as if someone was walking on the floor above us.

"Is it the vampires?" asked Rory.

"Like I said," said The Doctor, "they're not vampires. Fish from space."

Then there was a loud thump and glass broke as the converted girls entered the room. We all jumped from the table and The Doctor pulls out the ultraviolet light. As I looked around the room I saw more girls at the window, "Aren't we on the second floor?" asked Rory.

The girls at the window broke the glass and The Doctor used the light to keep them back. I took out my sonic screwdriver and used it on them we got our first look at their true insect-fish forms. "What's happened to them?" asked Guido.

"There's nothing left of them," I said, "They've been fully converted."

"Blimey, fish from space have never been so... Buxom," Said The Doctor.

I rolled my eyes, "OK…" I said as I turned of my sonic, "Move. Come on."

We all ran downstairs and Guido said, "Give me the lamp." The Doctor gave him the ultraviolet light and he used it to keep the girls back while the rest of us ran out the door.

"Go, go, go, guys!" said The Doctor, "Keep moving, go, go go!"

But instead of following Guido stopped, closed the door and locked it, "Stay away from the door."

The Doctor and I turned back around and started pounding on the door. "Guido! What are you doing?!"

"We're not leaving you!" said The Doctor, "What are you doing?!" The Doctor tries to use his sonic on the door. "Guido!"

Just then I had a thought, "Doctor… Remember what Guido has a stockpile of?"

The Doctor thought for a half a second, then without even having to say it we both ran as fast as we could. We were both knocked to the ground as the house exploded behind us.

"Mom!" called Annabelle, as she, Amy and Rory ran over to us, "Are you OK?"

"Yeah…" I said as she help me up. Just then we heard people screaming and shouting. We looked up and saw a storm brewing

"Rosanna's initiating the final phase," said The Doctor.

"We need to stop her," said Amy, "Come on!"

"No, no," said The Doctor as he shook his head, "Annabelle, get Amy and Rory back to the TARDIS."

"Yes, sir," said Annabelle.

"No wait," said Amy, "You can't stop her on your own."

"We won't discuss this!" I said, "if any one of us," I pointed to myself, my uncle and my daughter, "tell you to do something, Amy, and you do it. Understand?"

Amy didn't say anything she just stormed off with Annabelle following her.

"Thank you," said Rory then he went after Amy.

"Yeah…" said The Doctor, "You're welcome." Just then we heard some screams and we ran to the Calvierri School.

We ran into the throne room and headed straight to the throne. We started to examine the throne. The Doctor opened the back and found alien circuitry. Then he took out his sonic screwdriver to analyze the circuitry.

"You're too late." we heard the voice of the signora. We turned and saw her , as she continued, "Such determination... just to save one city. Hard to believe it's the same man that let an entire race turn to cinders and ash. Now you can watch as my people take their new kingdom."

"The girls have gone, Rosanna," said The Doctor.

"You're lying," said Rosanna.

"Shouldn't we be dead?" I said. Then she started to walk away, "Rosanna, please, help us. There are 200,000 people in this city."

"So save them," Then she walked out.

The Doctor looked at the throne, "We can't stop it from here… Come on…" The Doctor and I then ran out of the room. We ran out to a balcony and looked out of over the city as the clouds got thicker and blacker. Then the bell tolled from the bell tower on the school, The Doctor and I looked at each other then we ran back inside to the throne room.

When we got there Annabelle, Amy and Rory came running in.

"Get out!" said The Doctor, "Teddy and I need to stabilize the storm." then we ran to the throne.

"We're not leaving you," said Rory.

"Right," said The Doctor as he walked up to him, "so one minute it's, 'You make people a danger to themselves,' the next it's, 'We're not leaving you!' But if one of you gets squashed or blown up or eaten, who gets…" Then the ground shook, knocking us all to the ground.

"What was that?" asked Rory.

"Nothing. Bit of an earthquake," said The Doctor as he stood.

"An earthquake?" asked Amy, as the rest of us got to our feet.

"When you manipulate the elements," I said, "it can trigger earthquakes. But you don't have to worry about them."

"No?"

"No. You have to worry about the tidal waves caused by the earthquake."

The Doctor looked at the throne, "Right, Rosanna's throne is the control hub but she's locked the program, so tear out every single wire and circuit in the throne. Go crazy. Hit it with a stick, anything. We need it to shut down and re-route control to the secondary hub, which I'm guessing will also be the generator."

"Got it," I said as The Doctor ran out of the room.

The four of us started to pull out all the wires we could. Once that was done we ran to the courtyard by the main gate of the school. We looked up at the school and Rory pointed and said, "There he is!"

I looked where he was pointing and saw The Doctor climbing to the top of the bell tower, reaching a giant sphere at the top. He opens the sphere and started to examine it.

"Come on! Come on!" chanted the four of us on the ground.

The Doctor told me later that he found a toggle switch and flip it. Then, the rains stopped, the clouds cleared, and birds begin to sing. The four of us laughing and hugging each other. We looked up at The Doctor and saw him close the sphere and look down at us with a wave. "You did it!" said Rory.

Annabelle and I went inside to find the Signora. We met up with The Doctor and then we found the Signora near the edge of the canal that ran through the school. For some reason she had stripped down to her white under dress. She was standing on the edge of a plank over the canal, we could see the water below her churning and bubbling, "Rosanna!" called The Doctor

"One city to save an entire species. Was that so much to ask?" asked Rosanna.

We slowly approached her, and The Doctor said, "I told you, you can't go back and change time. You mourn but you live. I know, Rosanna, I did it."

Rosanna looked at us, "Tell me, Doctor... can your conscience carry the weight of another dead race? Remember us. Dream of us." Then she fell into the water.

"No... No!" we shouted. But, it was too late, the bubbling stopped, we knew that Rosanna was gone and without food, her sons would be gone before long.

A short time latter we were walking back to the TARDIS watching the townsfolk cleaning up after the storm, "Now, then, what about you two, eh?" asked The Doctor, "Next stop Leadworth Register Office? Maybe I can give you away."

"It's fine." said Rory, "Drop me back where you found me. I'll just say you've…"

"Stay…with us," said Amy, "Please. Just for a bit. I want you to stay."

"Fine with me," said The Doctor.

"We'd love to have you," said Annabelle.

"There's plenty of space," I said.

"Yeah?" asked Rory," Yes, I would like that."

"Nice one." said Amy, then she gave Rory a kiss, " I will pop the kettle on." Amy took out her TARDIS key and unlocked it, "Hey, look at this. Got my spaceship, got my boys, got my girls. My work here is done." Then she went inside closing the door behind her.

Rory scoffed and looked at The Doctor, "We are not her boys."

The Doctor clapped a hand on Rory shoulder, "Yeah, we are."

"Yeah, we are."

I rolled my eyes, "Well, I know that Annabelle and I are defiantly Amy's girls." I said.

Annabelle nodded, "You bet," she said.

Rory walked inside while us Tine Lords followed. Just as The Doctor was about to step inside the TARDIS it got very quiet. The Doctor pulled Rory out of the TARDIS, "Rory, listen to that."

"What?" asked Rory, "All I can hear is... Silence." Then he went back inside.

Us three Time Lords looked at each other, all we could think about was what Rosanna said to us earlier, "There were cracks. Through some we saw silence and the end of all things. "
