AshFan: …
TaiKetch'em: … So, uh… you wanna talk about it?
AshFan: No… no, I… I'm really upset right now.
TaiKetch'em: I mean, you made a new one. You can still start over.
AshFan: …
TaiKetch'em: Hey man, maybe you should just stick to AO3 and FFN. At this point, they're better than nothing.
AshFan: …
TaiKetch'em: Come on, let's write this chapter. Maybe you'll feel better afterward.
AshFan: … Fine.
TaiKetch'em: Maybe give them a heads-up.
AshFan: Alright, uh… My new name on Wattpad is AshFan-27-Revived if you wanna check it out… yeah.
TaiKetch'em: Okay, that's good enough.
(Hazbin Hotel, Charlie's bedroom)
"And this is one of the basic moves I can do with aura." Ash says as he is showing off an aura sphere.
"Yeah, no kidding." Vaggie also says.
"Ooh, so pretty." Charlie says with sparkling eyes.
One morning, with the throuple still in their pajamas, the boy decided to tell them about aura. It was something he had on his mind for a while, but now he was ready to tell them.
"I've been practicing for a while now. I've gotten some pretty basic moves down." The boy tells them.
He stands up and then raises the sphere into the air. He checked to ensure they were watching, then put both closed hands next to each other. He inhaled, then spread his arms while opening his hands. Just like that, the sphere separated into lots of smaller ones. The girls watched in awe as he did so. Chuckling, he moved his hand a bit as the spheres followed, they did a wave and they started spinning around the room before he let his hands down, leaving them to float through the air like snowflakes in the wind gently.
"This one took me a few hours… I mean, I wasn't keeping track, but it did take a while."
"Ohhhhh, this is amazing." Charlie says before reaching up, touching one of the orbs as it floats into her palm. "It's feel warm."
"Yeah, aura is a powerful energy." Ash says as he takes another one and gives it to Vaggie. "But it can also be a presence of comfort. Guess you could also say peaceful."
As Vaggie held the sphere in her hands, she could feel the same thing her girlfriend felt. "This is… this is nice."
"It's one of the smallest things I can do." The boy says before creating another sphere in his hand. "I've been practicing ever since I started coming here. I didn't want to lose control and… well do something I regret." He says before looking down.
'That would explain what happened.' The girls both thought to themselves as they looked at him with understanding, remembering their own times when he freaked out.
"Just wanna make sure I don't hurt anyone by mistake." He continued to tell them. "And maybe even protect the hotel from threats."
"Really?" Vaggie asked in curiosity.
"Yeah, as beautiful as it looks, it can also be used as a weapon. Though, I don't want to use it like that."
"That's probably a good thing." Charlie says.
"Is there any downside?" Vaggie asked.
"Well, kinda yeah. It more or less leads to a burnout if overused. That's what I was told anyway." Ash says before making all the spheres vanish.
"Sounds about right." The silver-haired woman says before going up and putting a hand on his shoulder. "Still, it's sweet that you wanna help the hotel. Good thing too."
He gave her a smile in response before Charlie remembered something.
"Oh, right. Hold on, stay right there." She says before going to her dresser, moving stuff around before pulling out a clipboard. "We're just gonna take a small break from doing activities and maybe pick back up on it tomorrow… or if we have time, later today. But I've written down some places we can go to for our date."
"Date?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, we haven't had our first date with you yet, silly." She says while ruffling his hair a bit.
"Huh… oh, right."
Odd, isn't it? He hadn't even gone on a date with either of them yet and before they even started dating they had intercourse. To some, it'd sound weird, but everyone has their own way of starting relationships, right?
"Alright, I have plans for… well some places around here that are decent, not raunchy. Though we'll have to avoid some-Especially the Lust Ring. We are not going anywhere near the Lust Ring. Though, there might be some-" The princess started to ramble.
"Charlie." Ash says, getting her attention. "Look, I appreciate you wanting to keep me from getting uh… what's the word? Traumatized? Or anything similar, but you don't have to do that." He says before standing up. "I've already seen a lot, and know I haven't seen the worst. But I've still seen the good so far. I gotta get over seeing this stuff at some point, don't I?"
He then formed his go-to smile which the girls couldn't look away from. The blonde bit her lower lip before sighing.
"You're right. I… I can't keep babying you like this. I'm sorry… especially after we just had sex." She says.
"Yeah, but… I don't know if I wanna go to the Lust Ring either." He says.
"Oh, good."
"Probably for the best." Vaggie says before she started going to the bathroom. "I'm gonna go wash up before we do anything today."
"I'll go with you." Charlie says, making her smile before they turn to the boy. "You wanna join us, Ash?"
"W-what? Uh…" He blushed a bit, scratching the back of his head. "N-no, I can go in afterward. You can go ahead."
"Alright, but the door is open just in case. ~" She then says in a flirtatious tone as she walks away with Vaggie.
Now left alone, Ash sat on the couch by the window, which was still covered by the blue paper. He lifted one of the papers and checked the clock. 140 days. Just a day away until it'd be a week that he had spent in Hell. He did fear what his mother must be thinking and how much she must be panicking right now, but he hoped she would understand.
He was more worried about his aura training. It's been a while, so he has had to repeat the last few lessons of his training over the days when he had the chance now that Lucario wasn't doing it with him. His phone was still not working, even this morning when he tried it.
Still, it'd been less than a week, so it was still too early for him to give up hope. To him, it hasn't been long since he'd been down there. Without aura training, he probably would've done some Pokemon-related things like training them for battle. However, he couldn't do either and the only things he could do were help the hotel or spend time with his new girlfriends.
Speaking of which, he looked back at the bathroom door. Remembering how he had turned down going into the shower with them out of embarrassment, still new to the relationship and all. He looked back at his window reflection before scoffing at himself as he stood up, and then he went to the bathroom while slowly undressing.
As he entered, he found just how big it was. Almost as big as the bedroom itself. It was so big that the shower was practically a different room from the toilet and sink. He was shocked, but it was nice to have some space. There was even a rack for clothes with the girls' outfits resting on them.
'Come on, man. You've already seen them naked. You can do this.' he thought to himself while putting his clothes on the rack.
"Do you think it was too early to ask him that? I don't wanna rush things further." He heard Charlie from beyond the fogged glass wall.
"I think we're past rushing things at this point, Charlie. Still, there's no harm in asking." He hears Vaggie tell her.
"Still, he's pretty cute when he's embarrassed. Reminds me of you when we started dating."
"I… was I really like that?"
"Yeah. It's also sweet that he still wants to give us privacy even after now. He's still a big sweetheart inside. I hope we're doing everything right."
"I hope so too."
He smiled when hearing their conversation. They cared about him. With some confidence, he opened the door and stepped inside. As soon as he did, Charlie and Vaggie noticed him immediately. The former sitting on a stool while the latter was scrubbing her back.
"Oh, Ash! You came!" Charlie chirps.
The boy froze for a second, face turning red. He saw their nude bodies and their hairs turned wet from the running water. It was different from how he saw them the first and second time. He had to fight not to pop one right there.
"Y-yeah, I figured it… would take less time so… we can have more time during the day." He tells them, flustered.
"Uh… well, you're… not wrong." Vaggie says, also embarrassed.
"D-do you want me to… help out or…?"
"Well, I was about to do Vaggie's back, but… you can do it if you want." Charlie tells him.
"Okay… I can do that."
The one-eyed girl looked on in shock, taking a glance behind her, looking nervous. The boy walked up to her before she shook her head and took a deep breath.
"Is something wrong?" He asked in concern.
"N-no, I… I'm okay." She tells him.
He stared at her face, her hair covering the left side as if substituting for her eyepatch, yet the red X floating in front remained. She looked less flustered and more worried. The blonde got up from the stool. She took another glance at him before sitting, then handing him a washcloth. As he walked up behind her, she reached for her hair, hesitantly moving it to the side, allowing him a view of her back… but it wasn't what he expected.
Rather than smooth gray skin, he saw big and long scars going down either side of her back. It was… not good to look at, almost as if something had been ripped from her skin. Charlie saw and realized too late why her girlfriend was hesitant.
"Vaggie… where did you…?" Ash asked.
"Nothing happened. This…" Vaggie started to explain to him. "I got this from one of the last exterminations."
He looked at her and then looked down at the scars reaching out and touching them slightly. "What happened?"
"It… uh…" She hesitated. "It happened so fast and…"
"I found her injured. It just seemed like they left her to die."
Hearing that, Ash looked shocked upon hearing it, then looked back at Vaggie before looking away. As if he didn't have enough reason to be mad at the angels. He's heard practically nothing good about angels ever since getting here, much less even witnessed any good from them firsthand, and the more he learned about them, the worse he started to think of them.
He put his hands on her back as his palms started to glow. He tried to heal it a bit, but… no dice. The scars remained.
"Hideous, right?" Vaggie asked.
"No!" He immediately says. "I-I mean… no, it's not." He says before he started cleaning her back. "I don't know all the details, but I know you didn't deserve something like this. Even then though, I don't care about this." He continued. "You're still beautiful."
Hearing that, she blushed slightly. After he was done with her back, he started to pull away before she turned and grabbed his hand. He looked down at her as she caressed his hand.
"T-thank you. I… didn't know I needed that." She says before giving him a soft smile.
Ash smiled back, happy to see he helped her. Then heard a sniffle behind him before they both looked back, seeing Charlie covering her mouth as tears were threatening to fall.
"C-Charlie?" The boy asked, concerned.
"It's just… I'm so happy that you two are bonding." She says before walking closer. "Seeing you get along like this, I…" She then jumped, catching the two off guard as she practically tackled them to the floor. "I could never ask for anything or anyone better!"
She practically was crushing them in a hug. The two looked at each other before smiling and returning the hug, enjoying the moment as it was.
AshFan: …
TaiKetch'em: Uh, dude, isn't this the part where you say 'No they didn't have sex'?
AshFan: Huh? Oh, yeah, right uh… they didn't have sex. Get your minds out of the gutter, yada yada, you get the idea.
TaiKetch'em: … Okay, maybe you should take a bit of a break. Let me take over.
So cut to, Husk was at his stand, looking annoyed as the smaller Pokemon was messing with his fur again. He only sighed, having given up trying.
"Alright guys, food's ready?" Ash called as all his Pokemon ran to him as he placed their food bowls down. "You too, Oshawott." He calls as the otter leaves the cat's side. "Sorry about that. He's not usually this clingy with someone this long."
"Ya don't say." Husk says sarcastically.
"Yeah, look, I kinda have a small favor."
"Ain't an Overlord anymore, kid."
"Very funny, but for real. Can you just… can you keep an eye on the hotel?" Ash asks as the cat looks up at him with a raised brow. "I just figured you'd be the most… reasonable to watch it while we're gone."
"Why? Where are you going?"
"Just… going out for a bit with the girls. We're gonna be gone for a while, so…" Ash trailed off as he looked at the cat's face. "Sorry to drop this on you last minute."
"I mean… I ain't got nothing interesting to do today, so whatever."
"Just wanna make sure the hotel is still in one piece when we get back."
"Pikachu." Pikachu says as he runs up to his trainer.
"Hey, bud." Ash says as he bends down and gives him a scratch on the head. "I'm just gonna be heading out for a little bit. Think you can guard the hotel while we're gone?"
"Pika, Pika!" The Pokemon proudly says.
"Thanks, bud."
"Oh, having a little outing of your own?" The Radio Demon says as he appears behind the boy.
"Hey, Alastor." Ash says as he stood up. "Just a little first date. Once the girls are done changing, we'll be going out in a bit."
"Hmm, sounds lovely, but…" He then reached and tugged a bit on the boy's outfit. "Are you not going to change yourself."
"This is the only outfit I have. All my clothes are back in my world."
"No need to fret, my dear friend. I will happily fix that."
Next thing he knew, Alastor snapped his fingers before grabbing Ash and then spinning him around. Once Ash got his bearings, dizzy at first, he checked himself out and he was fully decked out in a tuxedo with long coattails, dress shoes, gloves, and a fedora to top it off. He checked himself, giving a puzzled look and humming a bit.
"I don't know. Not that this looks bad, but this seems a little… flashy and excessive for a date. No offense." He says.
"Hmm… very well."
Alastor then just snaps his fingers this time and it changes to a white button-down with a brown sweatervest, no hat, just dress pants, and slightly less fancy shoes.
"Better?"
"Yeah, this looks good." Ash says while adjusting his sleeve cuffs. "Is there anything I owe you?"
"Maybe a small favor… but you can pay it back later. Consider this a gift."
"Okay."
Husk watched and sighed, not liking how close the two were starting to get.
"Hey, Ash! We're ready!" Charlie called.
The boy turned to the stairs and looked surprised.
AshFan: Alright, hold on.
TaiKetch'em: What? What is it?
AshFan: Nothing just… I'm gonna go for it.
TaiKetch'em: Do what exactly?
AshFan: I'm gonna include some images.
TaiKetch'em: … Wha… O-oh, you mean for the AO3 version, right?
AshFan: That and Wattpad.
TaiKetch'em: WHAT!?
AshFan: Yeah.
TaiKetch'em: Wha-NO! Dude, it's too soon! You just got a new account!
AshFan: Look, these images weren't flagged in someone else's story.
TaiKetch'em: That doesn't matter! It's too risky!
AshFan: FINE! I'll... just describe what they look like and only put the images on AO3.
TaiKetch'em: Okay, that's better.
Okay, the images that I wanted to be shown were made by CNeko-chan on Deviantart, and they're supposed to be concept designs for Charlie and Vaggie. I do not hold any ownership of either image, I just like the way the designs look. So yeah, I'll describe the looks as best as I can.
Charlie was wearing her hair braided and over her shoulder, a pink button-up, a white cravat with a red brooch, a black corset with a skirt and golden buttons, black leggings, and knee-length boots. Vaggie had a black off-shoulder, long-sleeved top with X's on her chest, black shorts, a plaid punk gothic skirt, and knee-high boots.
Now, hopefully just mentioning the designs won't get me kicked off Wattpad… again. If no one can understand what they look like, you can go to my AO3 account, under the name AshFan27… so yeah, the same name as here without the '-' between letters and numbers.
"Woah…" Ash says while looking at them.
"So, what do you think?" Charlie asked while doing a little twirl.
"You look great. Both of you." He says back.
"Thanks. I haven't gotten dressed up like this in a while."
"Same here…. You… look good too." Vaggie says as well.
"Thanks." The boy chuckled while scratching the back of his head. "So… ready to go?"
"Yep! All set!" Charlie says before hooking an arm around Vaggie's and pulling her over. "Come on, I know a good place to start."
"Ah, ah!" Alastor says while putting an arm between the boy and girls, causing the one-eyed woman to glare. "Aren't you forgetting something, my boy?" He says before showing the mask.
"Oh, right. Forgot." Ash says while taking the mask and putting it on, the only thing changing was his skin and eyes. "Alright. Now, I'm ready."
"Great! Then let's go!" Charlie then hooked her other arm around the boy, nearly tripping him as she dragged the two along with her out of the hotel.
"Have fun." Alastor says before hearing the door slam shut. "Isn't that just lovely?"
"Eh, whatever." Husk says before he starts downing a bottle.
Oshawott climbed back on the counter and looked back at the cat, reaching out, only to receive a glare. He stepped back before the cat started drinking again. The Pokemon looked back and forth, then plopped on the countertop, kicking his feet out of boredom.
Husk took a glance at the otter, then away… then back before pulling the bottle away while sighing… then leaning down a bit. Oshawott looked surprised, staring at the cat who just gave him a nod of approval. Smiling, he got on the cat's back. However, instead of playing with his fur, he snuggled up against his shoulder, making the demon look uncomfortable, but only glancing away with a quiet purr.
(Later)
A tiny drone flew above the city, the camera extending out and zooming in on one spot. A cafe where the throuple had gone to. Speaking of which, they were all sitting as the waitress came by grabbing their menus.
"My sister used to come here a lot. The dessert and tea here are really good. You're gonna love them." Charlie says.
"They also have some pretty good coffee. And it's surprisingly more lax around here than most places in the city." Vaggie also says.
"I never had either coffee before. This would be a nice change of pace." Ash says.
"Yeesh, what else have you not had before?"
"Uh… a lot of stuff. Can't say I know that much."
Charlie hmm'd to herself for a second in thought. "Ya know, it's been a while since you've shown us any new Pokemon lately. Maybe you can tell us about a Pokemon you know from your world."
"Oh, well, uh… hold on. Let me check." Ash says before reaching behind and taking out his Pokedex. "Glad I kept this thing in my pants when I came down here."
He started looking through the list of Pokemon he had seen on his journey, trying to find one he hadn't shown them yet. There were a few that he hadn't shown off yet, though he didn't think most of them would be appropriate to show at that moment. He ended up picking what looked like a small brown fox with fluff around its neck.
"Here. This is called Eevee."
"Oooh, another cutie." Charlie says as she takes the Pokedex from his hand.
"It's known as the Evolution Pokemon."
"... So, it evolves?" Vaggie asked.
"... I mean… yeah, it does, but there's more to it." Ash says while taking the Pokedex back. "Eevee is a pretty rare type of Pokemon for a lot of reasons. While some Pokemon can evolve into two different forms, Eevee can evolve into a lot more." He then tapped it a bit as the screen zoomed out and showed some eight more Pokemon. "This how many forms I've seen it evolve into so far."
"... Okay, that's pretty neat." Vaggie says with a smile.
"Not just neat. I didn't even know that Pokemon could evolve into separate ones." Charlie says in amazement before tapping on the pink and white one with a bow. "That one looks so pretty."
"That one's called-" Ash started to tell her before she tapped a button on the device.
"Sylveon-" The voice of the Pokedex caused the princess to jump a bit. "The Intertwining Pokémon. This Pokémon uses its ribbonlike feelers to send a soothing aura into its opponents, erasing their hostility."
"That… sounds amazing!" Charlie says all giddy. "Why don't you bring this one here?"
"Sorry, I don't actually have a Sylveon." Ash says while closing the device. "It just records any Pokemon I come across. But hey, if I ever do get one, I'll bring it to show you."
"I would LOVE that."
"Excuse me, sir, madams, your drinks are ready." The succubus waitress says as they separate, the boy putting away his device as the waitress gives them their orders.
As she was placing Ash's down, she winked in his direction before leaving. It caused the boy to jump a bit while the girls were miffed before glaring at the waitress. They quickly straightened up as the boy looked back at his teacup.
Charlie had herbal tea, Vaggie got black coffee, and Ash decided to get some green tea. As he raised his cup, he took a small sip before humming in approval, then drinking some more. For his first time drinking tea, especially from Hell, it tasted a lot better than he expected.
Then the blonde looks up at the sky, frowning. Curious at what she was seeing, the boy looked up and was surprised by what he saw. There was a white dot in the sky that was just next to the pentagram in the sky. He blinked a bit, but considering how it looked, he had a feeling that it had something to do with Heaven.
Vaggie took the blonde's hand in hers, getting her attention and giving her a comforting smile in return. The boy also put his hand on her shoulder and smiled at her as well.
"We're gonna make your plan work. I'm sure." He tells her.
She looked between them and started to smile sweetly at them. She wanted to hug them at that moment, but couldn't less she made a mess of the table. Still, she showed her appreciation for the gesture.
"Your dessert." The waitress says as she comes back.
"Oh, right. Thank you." Charlie says at first.
Charlie had a Strawberry Cheesecake, Vaggie got a chocolate pie, and Ash got a red velvet cake.
As the waitress gave the boy his dessert, she leaned into his ear. "Enjoy your meal. ~" She says seductively as her tail brushes up to his thigh, making him nervous.
Next thing the succubus knew, she had the tip of a spear and pitchfork in her face. Charlie and Vaggie were giving her the biggest death glares they could form, which… might've scared a few lives out of the succubus and even the boy.
Seeing this, the waitress slowly stepped away with her hands and the tray up. Ash looked back at the girls, Charlie was back to her normal sweet smile without her horns and Vaggie was… sweating massive bullets. His eyes darted back and forth before just quickly brushing it off, not wanting to ruin the moment.
While they were in the middle of eating their dessert, Charlie's eyes caught sight of some frosting on her boyfriend's face. She reached and used her thumb to brush it off before licking it from her thumb. She simply giggled which he blushed at, thinking how cute she looked.
(Meanwhile)
In the VVV Tower, Velvette was in her room, on her phone, going through several pages of things that had not interested her in the slightest. After a bit, she sighed in boredom before laying back on her couch. Not having any deadlines to make at the moment, or having any plans for future shows, she found herself with… well, nothing to do.
After a second, she sat up and looked at her phone, opening the gallery. Over the thousands of pictures she could be looking at, she decided to pick the few pictures she had of Ash when with the other Vees. At first, she started looking at the ones she had taken when first seeing him on screen, however, it eventually led to the ones she recently requested from Vox.
When first saw him, he didn't interest her at first. All she saw was a naive human child who was nothing special. However, as time went on, her opinions slowly changed. While looking at his body without his jacket and even the video captured of him nude having a threesome of him, she couldn't help but stare at his physique.
She smirked a bit before thinking. "Well, I could use a male model."
Then she started thinking about what Vox said about there being more to him than just being human. He also makes a point. A human being this close with the princess and being so friendly and trusting to Alastor must've been something. That being said, she wasn't worried about him making a deal with the Radio Demon before but seeing how things were slowly playing out, it may be interesting to see where it all goes.
Then she got a text from someone and checked. Once done reading it, she hummed in interest.
(Elsewhere)
Valentino was in his studio, his crew recording a new film as he was tapping his fingers on his armrest. He seemed oddly disinterested in what was happening and even sighed as he listened to Angel's moans and dirty talk.
With how often his fellow Vee dragged him into the whole thing with the human boy, this seemed less exciting to him… well not really, but he was interested to see what was to be of them next. He was interrupted as his phone rang. Checking it and one of his brows rose before answering as it went to a Facetime with the younger Vee.
"What is it, Velvette? I'm currently busy right now." Valentino says before looking away.
"Choke on a sandpaper cock, Val. I know what you're 'busy' doing right now." Velvette says. "Look, I don't give a shit what you're doing right now, but I know it's not more important right now."
"Oh…" The porn demon says before looking at the phone. "And what would be more important, right now?"
"What do you say we go and check to see what Vox has planned for the human today?" The younger Vee says with a grin as a text pops up.
Val looked back at the set before checking the text. Once done reading, the corners of his lips curled up before baring his sharp teeth.
"I'll be there in a little bit." He hung up before looking at the set, seeing the aftermath of what he's missed. "Alright, CUT!"
"Ugh…" Angel says as a bull demon got off of him. "Oh man… how much longer?"
"Quit you're bitching. We're wrapping up shooting for the day."
"Wait… what?" The furry demon asked, confused.
"Yes, unfortunately, something has come up. Lucky you, I suppose." Val says before adjusting his coat as he stands up and starts walking away. "You can go back to the shitty hotel or… whatever the fuck."
"W-wha?"
The door then shuts behind the Overlord, leaving the crew to question what was so important that their boss had to wrap up shooting porn. Angel was left astonished, wondering if he was having some kind of dream of some sort as this seemed way out of character for Val.
(Meanwhile, sometime later)
"Closed!?" Charlie shouts while reading the sign.
The three were standing at the front of an entrance to an amusement park with the name 'Lu Lu World' above the gate. Sadly there was a chain around the gate with the sign saying 'closed for maintenance' hanging from it.
"Dammit! Why now?" The princess says in dismay.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm sure it's a nice place." Ash tries to reassure her.
"It's gonna be alright. We can come back another time." Vaggie tells her as well.
"You're right. Sorry, it's been a while since I've come here." Charlie says.
"Don't worry. Like I said, it looks like fun." Ash tells her as she smiles.
"Right, I'll make sure you enjoy your time there."
"I look forward to it." The boy says before patting his chest, suddenly causing a ripple of flames to travel across his outfit, changing it back to the black coat outfit. "Woah." He patted his chest again and was back in his date clothes, then did again, then again, laughing in amazement. "That's cool. I didn't know I could do that."
He then started doing it over and over again. The girls looked at each other, then quietly laughed as they watched their boyfriend act on his innocence. Then Charlie's phone rang before she checked it, a brow raising as she saw the I.D.
"Hold on, I need to get this." Charlie says before stepping back. "Hello, Az."
"Hey, Char Char. How have you been? Anything you wish to update me on?" Asmodeus asked.
"Not really, just out having some fun." She says before seeing the boy still playing with the new switching clothes he had.
"That's nice. So… is that human fella with you by any chance?"
She seemed surprised. "Y-yeah, why?"
"Could I speak to him, dear? I'd like to talk to him."
She looked surprised at first. "Uh… hold on. Hey, Ash." She says as he stopped and looked at her. "Uh, there's someone here who wants to talk to you."
"To me?" He asked before nodded. "I mean… who exactly?"
"Asmodeus."
"... I don't know who that is."
"Remember? The guy whose club you landed in before we… *giggle* ya know?"
"What?" Vaggie says, surprised.
"... Oh, uh… uh…" Ash looked somewhat nervous before scratching the back of his head. "What about?"
"Uh, I don't know." Charlie started to say.
"Just put me on speaker."
The blonde looked at the phone, then back at the boy. He looked at the phone, then nodded in approval. She then put the phone on speaker and stepped closer to them.
"Hello?" The boy says.
"Heya, kiddo. Been a while, huh?" Az asked over the phone.
"Yeah, it has. Didn't think I'd hear from you again."
"I know, I know. So… seems like you're doing better."
"Yeah… a lot better actually."
"Hmm, you don't say? ~" Asmodeus says in a questionable tone that says a lot.
The boy looked at Charlie who was blushing a storm, then at Vaggie who was the same. This demon on the phone had guessed what happened and guessed right. It was embarrassing to all three.
"Uh, so… what's going on?"
"Just wanna talk about the incident that happened. As the ruler of the Lust Ring, I'm sorry that was your first experience here."
"Oh, it's fine. You didn't do any… thing… wait, you rule the Lust Ring?"
"Yeah, figured the name would be a dead giveaway."
"Wha… oh…" Ash stops, probably thinking it was something that wasn't from his world.
"Anyway, in case you ever wish to come back for… something special, tell the bouncer your name and you'll be guided to one of the VIP rooms for… privacy. ~"
All three of their faces turned red after hearing that. "... O-o-okay, uh… thanks, I guess." Ash says.
"Anytime, young man."
"Az, we're on!" Another familiar voice came from the phone.
"Oop, that's my cue to leave. Don't be afraid to come visit." Az finishes before hanging up.
Charlie put her phone away before looking back at the two, seeing their faces were still red. Things were awkward for a little bit, with silence following for a small minute or so.
"H-he's such a nice guy, haha." Charlie says before grabbing their arms. "Come on, I know another place we can go."
Brushing off what happened, the three would continue to spend the day with each other, again not noticing the drone following them.
(Some more time later)
At the hotel, Taurus was strutting around the room with the eggs, Pikachu, and Oshawott on his back, giving them a ride. Sceptile was standing up while Fat Nuggets was playing with his tail, and Charizard was flying around the room, playing with Razzle and Dazzle.
As the Pokemon were all enjoying their time there, Angel and Husk were at the parlor, watching a soap opera, chuckling at the lame jokes. Meanwhile, Snivy was showing off as Pentious was studying her abilities with amazement. Everyone was occupied as the throuple came through the door.
"We're back." Ash called as he took off his mask before Pikachu ran up and into his arms.
"Have fun?" Husk asked, not looking away from the TV.
"Yeah, we did." Charlie says before noticing the fluffy spider demon in the room. "Oh, Angel. I didn't think you'd be back already."
"Eh, Val had some kind of emergency or some shit so, I got off early." Angel says before looking back at the TV. "Who knows what that's all about."
"Good to know." Vaggie says. "See the place is still in one piece."
"What? Think we can't be responsible? Real rude."
"... Right." She says before the boy looks around.
"Is Alastor here?" He asked.
"He left shortly after you had." Pentious tells him before moving back as Niffty runs by with Gible, chasing bugs. "He hasn't been here all day otherwise."
"Oh, did he say what for?"
"Is fire wet?" Husk asked before looking at him.
"... Gotcha."
(The next morning)
Ash was the first to wake up again, getting changed then going up to the balcony and looking out at the clock tower. It now was a full week since he'd been in Hell. He checked his Arc Phone, but just as expected, it hadn't worked. At this point, he was starting to get worried that it wouldn't work anymore and that he would be stuck in Hell forever.
"Still not working?" He heard before turning back to see Charlie and Vaggie.
"Sadly not." He says while showing the phone screen before sighing and looking back at the tower again.
"I know. I know." Charlie says as the girls walked up and rested their hands on his shoulders. "Maybe we should wait a little longer, ya know."
"Yeah, maybe." The boy sighed.
"Hey, look…" Vaggie says as he turns to her. "I know it's hard, especially in a place like this. You're not alone in that though. When I first came down here I had a hard time getting used to this being my new life and all. But I had someone with me to help." She says before smiling at Charlie who returned it.
"Even if you're here forever, you don't have to worry." The princess says before caressing his cheek. "Cause no matter what, you won't be alone."
"Heh, thanks." Ash says while smiling at them.
"There it is." Vaggie chuckles.
"Our Ash." Charlie then says before they pull him into a hug.
He chuckled while returning the hug. "... I love you." He says.
"We love you too." The girls say before pulling away and kissing him on the cheeks.
"Let's get ready. We're picking up on activities today." Charlie says as they separate and the girls start leaving.
Ash stayed back, still smiling from their affection. He looked back at his Arc Phone, still not getting any response from it, but wasn't affected by it. He turned back to the entrance of the balcony, stepping away from the railing and putting the phone away. Today was a new day. One that he was gonna enjoy and maybe even spend some time with his new pals while at it. He had a feeling that things were gonna turn out-
"Well! I thought they'd never leave." He jumped before turning around. "Ho, so jumpy. Am I catching you at a bad time?"
He was shocked to find a suited guy standing right behind him with a… TV for a head towering over him and grinning at him with a slight and uncomfortable chuckle.
"Wha… w-who are-"
"Oh, right. Where are my manners?" The TV guy says as he walks up and shakes the boy's hand. "Nice to meet you, young man. I'm Vox, CEO of Voxtek Industries, one of the highest producing companies known to Pentagram City."
"Vox?" Ash says before realization dawned on him.
A TV-headed guy sings while pulling a deer's skull out of the oven.
"Overlord. He runs just about every TV station in this place. And also sells a bunch of tech for these guys to use against others."
"Wait… I've seen you before." Ash says.
"Oh, you have. Well, with my reputation of course you'd know me." Vox says proudly.
"Wait… oh shoot!" The boy then quickly reaches for his mask.
"Oh no, no! No need to worry kid." The Overlord says with a wave of his hand. "I've already seen enough of you. And I must say, it's impressive to find a human lasting this long in Hell."
"... Dang it." Ash groans to himself.
"Hey, don't worry. Your secret's safe with me."
The boy looked at the TV demon, the screen showing him still smiling, but… something felt off. Despite his calm tone, the way he looked a them was very eerie.
"... Okay… well, look, if you wanna take it up with Charlie, maybe now's not the best time." He tries to say.
"Oh no, son." Vox says while walking past him, blocking off the way before turning and pointing at him. "I'm not here for the dame. I'm here for the you."
"What? Why me?"
"So glad you asked." Vox says before walking up to him and putting an arm around his shoulders. "Ya see, I understand you're a well-off kind of guy-"
"What?"
"And ya know, humans are a rare breed down here of all places. You'd definitely be quite popular with the folk should word get out about you down here."
"... Where are you going with this?"
"I'm saying I can cut you a nice deal. Perhaps you could help bring some more attention to this here hotel if you were to accept my help. My business gets more customers, your business gets some actual residents, and we can help each other out. It's a win-win."
That eerie feeling didn't go away. Only seemed to get worse the closer the Overlord got to him.
"I-I don't…" Ash trailed off, trying to think of something to get him to leave.
"Come on, I'm sure I can tidy this place up a bit." Vox says before getting in front of the boy, blocking his path again. "At least, better than anything Alastor could."
The boy started to recall how the TV-headed demon had talked down about Alastor, knowing how much he seemed to hate the Radio Demon from the little he'd seen.
"Besides, I'm sure you're annoyed with having to deal with his shit constantly."
"Not really. Alastor's pretty nice." Ash says as one of the demon's eyes twitches.
"Well, he does put up quite the act, but that doesn't mean anything. Besides, I can help you easily modernize this place and bring it up to date with today's standards. And all-"
"No!" Ash interrupted him, causing the corners of the demon's lips to falter slightly.
"What?" Vox says out of annoyance.
"Sorry, I… I didn't mean to come off rude or anything, I just…" He tried to think of something. "I barely know you. We just met."
"So? What's wrong with wanting to get to know someone?"
Ash stared at the demon, looking nervous about what he was implying. No matter how much the overlord tried to hide it, there was just something sinister in his tone… he didn't have good intentions.
"Alright, I'm gonna cut to the case here." Vox says, dropping the act before adjusting his bowtie. "Listen, kid, I don't know how much you know about Hell or Overlords, but considering how long you've been down here, I'm guessing you know the basics by now."
"... right so… what are you doing here then? What does this have to do with me?"
"Please, don't act like you don't know." Vox says before stepping closer to the boy and leaning down to his level. "With someone like you being all buddy, buddy, with Alastor of all people, you're a liability to the rest of us Overlords."
"Again, what does that have to do with me?"
"Wouldn't you like to know? Anything and anyone involving that smiling freak is trouble. The more souls he takes, the more power he gets, and the more terror he could cause for the rest of us. I don't think I need to make myself any clearer." His mask was slipping further every time he even mentioned the Radio Demon.
"I…" Ash says, hesitant to answer.
"See? You know it just as much as I do." The TV demon says as he leans further down to eye level.
He couldn't shake the feeling of uneasiness.
"Look, whatever is happening between you guys, it has nothing to do with me, or the hotel." The boy tells him. "Now if you don't mind, my friends are downstairs waiting. So are we done here?"
Vox stared at him for a moment before his smile returned. "Heh, worth a shot, but I had a feeling you weren't gonna listen to a damn thing I said… so…" He chuckled before leaning closer. "Sorry, but… I can't let you get in the way."
His left eye then snapped open revealing a spiral. Ash's eyes went wide before he stumbled back, clutching his head as he started flailing his torso. He tried to turn away, only to be met with a large TV screen that had the same spiral on it. He tried to close his eyes, but they remained open like they were taped.
As the spirals filled his vision, he kept trying to fight whatever the demon was doing to him but soon felt light-headed. His legs started to feel like jelly, collapsing under him before Vox walked over and forced his head back to look at his spiraling eye.
"You look exhausted. Why don't you take a nice, nice long nap?" He chuckles.
Ash did his best to fight it, but his eyelids started to feel heavy. Eventually, his vision went black, and his mind went blank… unknowning of what awaited his fate.
To be continued…
TaiKetch'em: Aight, AF's away at the moment, so that leaves me with the author's note before I send this to him. The next chapter is gonna be mostly if not all written by me as a small favor for him and more or less because I came up with the idea for the next chapter.
TaiKetch'em: While I'm still here, I'd like to say that we don't have to delay Dad Beat Dad much longer now that I got the artwork for my OCs done. Last thing, AshFan, if you read this, I want you to know that despite what happened or what will happen, keep up the good work. Don't lose hope. We're here for you man.
