There was a picture of her and her friends, Amelia Salem, Larkspur Lily, and Selene Serpentine, where it took place in 1971. "Amelia would have been very proud of her daughter, who became a curse breaker."
Even though she made a promise to herself that she'll protect Eileen. Esmerelda was a sister figure to Amelia since she knew that her parents had disowned her for Erickson getting her pregnant during their fourth-year (1974).
"It turns out that the suspect, who was responsible for Amelia's death, is Amy (Amelia's older sister, and Erickson's sister-in-law) who killed her out of jealousy, and kidnap several students from Beauxbatons and Hogwarts. Erickson mentioned that Amy is a Death Eater."
Esmerelda hasn't been making connections with Erickson, aftermath of the battle, but she was told by Eileen that he might have moved into the Wizarding world, somewhere outside his hometown, Properton Bloomfield.
"During my summer break from Hogwarts. I would always be there for Aunt Naomi, since uncle Enoch had been abusing her. He also abused me, whenever I came back from Hogwarts."
