With the sun shining behind the cliff, Ruby released a heavy sigh as she settled a bouquet of flowers in front of a gravestone with the inscription: "Summer Rose—Thus I Kindly Scatter" written on it. She dusted it off a bit before sitting up and trying to gather her thoughts before speaking.
"Hey mom," she started, trying to prevent her voice from cracking. "Sorry I haven't come for a while. Things have been… Stuff happened okay, in my first two semesters in Beacon SO much has happened that… I don't even know where to begin."
She could feel tears prickling her eyes, she wiped them away quickly. She already cried enough.
"Dad's here too," She looked back, where the blonde man gave her a wave and a reassuring smile. "He's been great. The best dad ever. Didn't got too upset after we told him about our mission; it was after all an obligatory mission for us to attend so we didn't break our promise…" She took in a shaky breath. "Yang's also being doing well… until recently… she stayed at home, wasn't feeling so good to come. Not after…"
Again, she wiped the tears, now comes the complicated part. Where to even start…
"We stop a bad guy named Roman Torchwick… He's in prison, and so are a bunch of White Fang members…" Those who survived, others were trapped in the caverns of Mountain Glenn… "You would be proud of that right… like mother like daughter… But then things got bad…"
She bit her lip, this time the tears spilled. She felt two hands position in her shoulders and a strong chest pressing against her. She took the hands, knowing they were her dad's and continued on.
She had to tell her this, even if she was gone talking to her always worked. It worked when she wasn't able to wield a weapon until Uncle Qrow stepped in, it helped when she got in fights with Yang, it help when her friends in Signal didn't invited her to hang out… Anyways, it just helped.
And she needed it.
"It's just… For every good thing we do, something bad awaits right at the corner," She explained, her voice miraculously staying steady throughout her speech. "A-After… After we finished our mission in M-Mountain G-Glenn…"
She still couldn't believe it happened, right before the start of the break from their second term…
It had started as a normal day, just a week has passed since the Breach and things were starting to settle down. She and Yang were packing up things to go back to Patch, Blake had to stay in Beacon since she didn't really have a place to stay outside of Beacon and Weiss was also staying to give her some company, and she was just finishing having a conversation by text with Felix.
"dad's gonna make full recovry. I'll b back after break."
"Cool. Can't wait to kick ur butt." Followed by the emoji of a peach, which resembled a butt. It was hilarious.
A ping showed an emoji rolling its eyes, followed by another message.
"With the new features to ma gun-sword, u wont stand a chance :P XD" Oh, that meany. What has he done to their creation?!
Before she could put him in his place, there was a bang to their door that made everyone jump with a start. "Who in the world could it be at this hour?" Weiss muttered in annoyance, sitting up from her bed and walking to the door. "What—Oh!" Her cranky response was cut short by the figure standing by the door.
A man, about as tall as Mister Arc had entered the room. A severe look on his face and various Atlesian robots at his side and behind a visible upset professor Goodwitch was trailing behind him.
"G-General Ironwood, sir…" Weiss gulped and Ruby's eyes widened in recognition. It was the Headmaster of Atlas.
"Girls, good morning," The general said in an even tone. And following his eyes, Ruby could see they were zeroed on Blake who was inching her way out of bed slowly, eyes wide with panic
The cat Faunus had sweat running down her forehead and her eyes shaking. Ruby knew, that if she was a real cat her fur would and tail would be standing up and she'd be hissing. Blake was scared, that was obvious.
"What's going on?" Yang caught on that too and stood in between Blake and the general.
"Girls, please…" Miss Goodwitch spoke with an understanding yet firm tone. "Don't make this any harder than it should be."
"We don't understand what is going on!" Weiss exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air.
Their teacher looked at them with a tired expression, before sighing and taking out her Scroll. In it they gasped at what they saw: A video in DustTube titled 'Beacon Criminal Student: Blake Belladona' which showed various images and videos of Blake during her time as a member of the White Fang.
The faces of everyone in the team paled, except for one. Blake stared at the video with horror, her face green and looking ready to faint as she stared at the video playing into the professors' hands.
"It became viral due to the trend about the White Fang shortly after the Breach…" Goodwitch explained, her voice defeated. "It called the councils attention and they dig deeper than we have tried to prevent. With a last name like Belladona and the features in the video, it was easy to draw the connection."
"W-What…" Yang tried to say something but her words failed her. And Ruby just felt her knees wobbling beneath her, feeling like a simple breeze was going to take her down.
"The council has called Ozpin's actions into question for allowing her to attend," The general continued, voice firm and stern. "Since the Breach I have been officially assigned to handle the security of the city until the Vytal Festival is over. And… with this newfound evidence the order has been given to me to take Miss Belladona into custody."
"You can't do that!" Ruby exclaimed. Soon, all of the members of her team were standing protectively in front of Blake.
The general gave them a disapproving look. "I can and will. If I don't then think about it this way, many other people have already seen the video and after knowing of the involvement the White Fang had in the Breach tensions are running high and knowing a former member is here will just arouse more tension."
"B-But I helped in the invasion…" Blake protested weakly. It broke Ruby's heart to see their usually calm friend so vulnerable. "I've been the one trying to stop the White Fang's activities in Vale!"
"Last time that didn't end well, did it?" The general asked, eyes narrowed and all of them withered under the glare. "Yet your help in the Breach is undeniable, and is the reason why I'm giving you the courtesy of being escorted peacefully. Please, do not make this hard."
Ruby shook her head desperately, eyes pleading and trying to find a way out without causing harm. Her eyes finally settled on Miss Goodwitch. "Professor, please…!" She pleaded. "There must be something…!"
"I'm sorry girls…" She said, her tone heavy with sincere sorrow. "But considering the current circumstances… Miss Belladona is no longer recognized as a Beacon student. She has been… expelled of the academy due to the charges and the recently revealed… faked transcripts."
Those words made the weight really fall on them, especially on the Ruby. Again, the fake transcripts, again she was losing a friend because of that. She knew it was the least in Blake's… crimes, she knew that. But that didn't take away that the familiarity of the situation struck her right in her core.
"No," Yang said, stepping in front of Blake and holding her arms out. "You can't do this."
"We can," The general said, walking forward towards them and holding a hand up. The robots immediately snapped to attention and had their guns up. Were they going to have to fight…?
"James!" The professor hissed, hand in her riding crop. "What are you doing?"
"What I must, Glynda," The man said in a colder tone. "If I have to restrain them to take in Miss Belladona, so be it."
Ruby tensed, not knowing what to do. If they fought to defend Blake, would they be called criminals too? Would they get arrested? She looked at her sister, who seemed ready to fight for her partner, then she turned to Weiss who looked as indecisive as she did. Their teacher looked ready to step in, but probably only to de-escalate the situation.
In the end, no fight broke. As Blake pushed Yang out of the way and walked towards the general with her head down. "Blake!"
"I'll go with you… just leave my friends alone…" She said, her voice hoarse and shaking. "Please…"
The general's eyes softened and he nodded. "Of course." With another motion the robots relaxed—as much as machines could. "Follow us, please."
"No!" Yang grabbed Blake's arm, stopping her in place. "What do you think you're doing?!"
Blake didn't respond for a while. She then let out a heavy sigh and turned to Yang, unshed tears on her eyes. "It was nice while it lasted but… it seems my past did catch up to me and… this time there's no running from it."
Yang's lips wobbled as she kept the grip on her partner. However, it was a soft-eyed Miss Goodwitch who make her release Blake. Keeping the girl in her arms as Blake was escorted out of the room to walk out a few moments later behind them.
Silence reigned in the room as Yang's hands trembled, before her head fell and a sob escaped her lips. Ruby's heart broke further seeing her sister breaking over like that she rushed to her and engulfed her in a hug. Yang held her like a safe-line, sobbing her heart out over seeing her partner being arrested.
She heard sniffles behind her. She turned to see that Weiss was holding back tears. Despite the strong embrace of her sister, Ruby extended her hand towards her partner. Blue eyes looked at her before sniffing up and walking towards them, joining the so-much needed embrace.
The remains of Team RWBY, cried the departure of their friend and teammate. Just wondering how things could have fallen apart so quickly.
After relaying her tale, Ruby just let the tears fall as she gripped her father's arms. The man pressed soft kisses into her head in a way of comfort while she dried her tears away. "In better news, we are allowed to see her in visits. She is not locked away with Torchwick at least… And we are still on in the tournament… It's too late to change representatives which means we will fight down one member in the first round." She said, slowly calming down. "Yang is… trying her best and we'll pull through together along with Weiss…"
She took a deep breath and dried her tears away. "I hope I can make you proud after this, mom…"
"Hey," Her dad's voice said softly, caressing her hair and giving her a toothy, reassuring smile. His eyes went to the tombstone. "Love. Please make a spot for me, with how this year is going I think I'll be joining in a couple months."
"Dad!" Ruby whined and giggled at the same time, giving him a slight shove. "Don't joke about that! You have to live until a hundred!"
"But that's so far awayyy!" He whined back, slumping his hands down. "It's a drag."
Ruby chuckled at that. She knew what he was doing with this whole act, trying to make her feel better and rise her spirits. A beep came from his pocket and after looking at his scroll he gave her a shrug. "The Bullhead's almost here. Got to pick your sister up."
She nodded and turned to the gravestone, giving it one last smile. "Goodbye mom, hopefully next time I see you, things will be better."
The two left, with Ruby feeling slightly better. Hoping that her words would ring true in the future.
What he saw make him smirk, the big screen in the fairgrounds gave him the best shots at the fight occurring. Despite Ruby's team being down one member, Crater-Face and the other two were faring well against some team he forgot the name off.
It all worked soooo well, now one of Ruby's friends was sent away from her. Now he just needed to get rid of the other two, and she will only have one shoulder to cry on. His.
Oh sure, he heard she still has a dad and some uncle, but a teen just couldn't connect that way with an adult with their problems. Too nosy. Better to have someone of closer age to vent your problems to.
Sure, Felix's mind might be over his thirties, but hey if he has kept other things secret from her what's one another to the list? It's not like that one is the worst of them considering he was the one who leaked Kitty's past to everyone and got her behind bars…
Woopsie~
He grinned even further when Ruby knocked down into the icy floor after splitting her—and get this—her fucking skateboard-gun in half and batting away the guns that it was made of.
Seriously, a fucking skateboard that is actually two guns. This world was the worst sometimes…
Anyways, he paid some attention to blondie and frosty. Blondie was having a cat fight with another blonde while frosty was freezing a guy with a staff. Cinder wanted both of Beacon's first year teams to win the first and second rounds, which meant he had to root for them apparently.
'Go, stupid girls, woo…' He thought sardonically as he rolled his eyes. The grin returned to his face when Ruby not only brought the girl with the skate down to red, disqualifying her, but also froze a sniper from neck to toe with some Ice-Dust rounds.
"Look at Team RWBY go!" The fat professor of Grimm studies said. "Despite being down on one teammate they do not shrink away from the fight! They give it everything we got!"
"They have to, my friend!" The caffeine addict said. "With the lack of one member all the remaining members have to give more than their one-hundred percent! And if they advance to the next round with this energy then we might be seeing one of the most hard-working teams to achieve victory in the history of the Vytal Festival!"
Dear lord, did he even breath during that speech?
Soon it was clear how the fight was going to end when the two guys from the team got trapped in an ice-ball by the frosty, and when their female teammate tried to freed them, blondie capitalize the change to charge and slammed her fist into the ice-ball with her Semblance activated. Sending the three members out of bounds with a shockwave and earning the applause of the public.
"That's a wrap, folks! For the first time in the recorded history of the Vytal Festival, a team of just three people has won the first team round battles!" The fatso exclaimed as the stadium cheered at the spectacle.
Felix smirked and turned away. He'd seen what he wanted to see. Crater-face gained a win and the first years advanced. The only thing left for him to do was lead Team NPR to victory.
"Oh, there you are, Felix!"
Speaking of.
"Hey, Pyrrha," He greeted the redhead with an innocent smile. "What's up."
"Just looking for you. You weren't at the entrance of the academy or in the Bullhead station to go to the stadium…" Pyrrha explained, rubbing her arm awkwardly. "H-How's your dad doing?"
Cover story: GO!
"He's fine. Full recovery is expected," Cover successful. "I came here right away because I wanted to see what the festival had to offer. Sorry…"
"No, no, I get it. I didn't mean it like that, sorry…" Felix was starting to think that the girl would implode if she didn't apologize in every sentence. She looked up at the screen and smiled a bit at what she saw. "Team RWBY won."
"Yup." He raised an eyebrow at her happiness. "You seem happy about it."
"I am…?" She asked, the smile not leaving her. "Yeah, I guess I am happy they made it despite the disadvantage…"
Felix stuffed his hands in his pockets. "I got the impression you didn't like them, 'cept for Ruby."
"I'll… admit I didn't have the highest opinion of them after what happened during the first semester, but…" She trailed off, looking at the ground before a smile appeared on her face. "After the breach I feel like we shouldn't be at odds with one another when we all want to stand together as the next protectors of Remnant."
Felix kept his smile up and let out a chuckle. "You're really an optimist Pyrrha, I like it." He didn't. Specially since he liked how NPR wanted to keep Kitty away from them after the Paladin incident. "Wanna get something to eat? We could go over some strategies I have planned… if, that's okay with you…" He trailed off sheepishly, still keeping his 'somewhat fan of the Invincible Girl' act going up.
Pyrrha didn't noticed and instead smiled brightly. "Of course!" She fished out her Scroll. "Just let me call Ren and Nora and tell them were we are."
Oh goodie, the whole team eating together. 'Actually, it might be for the best. I do need these team to reach the final rounds according to Cinder. And the more I can have them feeding from my hand the better.'
When Pyrrha put her Scroll away, he gave her his most charming smile. "Do you think they have Mistralian Noodles?"
She giggled. "I certainly hope so!"
Another victory for Team RWBY that Ruby hoped didn't came with the coming of something bad like the ones they've celebrated until now. Because, c'mon! Her team is the first three-member team to participate AND WIN the first rounds in the tournament! Now Weiss and Yang had a free pass towards the second round and then if they continue on, Yang would be the one in the finals!
But now, time to celebrate!
"I'm hungry…" She moaned, holding her belly. "We need to get something to eat."
"Oh jeez, I wonder where we could find a place to eat…" Weiss said, rolling her eyes.
"Weiss… We're literally surrounded by food stands, silly," She told her partner with a smile.
Weiss leveled her with a flat stare. "I was being facetious."
Why did she had to use big words again?
"If you're hungry just say so!" Ruby told her waving her arms around. Taking a deep breath and sighing, she turned to her sister for aid. "Yang, do you know where we could eat?"
"Hm?" Yang raised her head from the floor. "Oh, yeah. I know a place, c'mon."
As she walked forward, Ruby and Weiss shared a glance. It was clear what was on her mind, it was weighing in their minds too but… Yang clearly took it the hardest and she couldn't blame them. She still managed to keep herself focused on the tournament, but outside of that they could see her staring to nothing. But for now, there wasn't much they could do, just hope after the festival they could find a way to get Blake back.
"Y'know you won't be able to get any food without this, right?" Ruby perked up at the voice and turned to see Emerald waving a familiar rose themed wallet around… Wait!
"Wha-!?" Ruby patted herself around, not founding. "Stupid… girl pockets!" She huffed, taking her wallet back. "Thanks Emerald."
The tanned girl smiled and waved the apology off. "Don't mention it. You guys are looking good," She offered a sympathetic smile. "I hope no one's giving you a hard time after…"
She hissed, then she heard a scoff from the side. "They can try if they want," Yang said. "See how that turns out."
"And besides, we're above petty insults from others," Weiss said, turning her nose up. "We know that Blake is better than what those videos showed and that's enough."
Ruby grinned and beamed in pride at the two.
"Good for you guys!" Emerald told them with a happy smile. She was so nice. "By the way, you were amazing back there."
Ruby scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Oh you'll make me blush. But enough about us, what about you? Did your team passed the rounds?" They were too busy with their own round to see.
"We did," Emerald nodded, her eyes looking up at the sky in thought. "You could say we stomped the competition."
Man, she wished she could see it. She hoped there were re-runs on TV or in a video on the web. "Anyways. Would you like to join us at lunch?"
"I'd like to, but my teammate is…" She trailed off to one of the stands where her silver haired teammate was… sniffing a boot. "… busy.
Weird.
"I have to stick around with him though, we're moving to the second round. Who are you sending?" She asked, looking away from her teammate.
Ruby blinked and looked at Emerald. "Well… Even if we're one element short, the plans haven't changed!" She said triumphantly. "Weiss and Yang are going, as I have decided as a leader."
"… She means we put it to vote," Weiss frostily said, and Ruby could feel the shivers from her tone.
"W-Well, I as a leader decided to put it to vote!" She turned, daring to see her partner only to see her icing glare. Distraction: Go! "E-Emmm… Oh right! Have you seen Felix?" She asked, changing the theme of conversation and asking something she really wanted to know; Distraction: Successful! "We haven't talked since, like, a week ago and I really want to see how's the gu—I mean how's he doing."
She was not going to acknowledge the plain looks Yang was giving her, or that her distraction turned against her when she felt Weiss' ice daggers digging into her back with her glare. She just wanted to see how their project was doing! Was that so bad?!
Emerald shrugged. "I think he's with Team NPR, getting some food. Maybe in the first food stand you come across you'll find him."
"Cool. Thanks!" She skipped away, her team trailing behind her. She couldn't wait to see the gun!
And to see how Felix was doing, of course. She wasn't THAT obsessed with weapons.
Even if she… still had some issues with the name and his voice, Felix was a friend and the father to her new invention! A visit is the least she can give him as well as wishes of good luck. And hey, after the Breach the possibility to patch things up with team NPR seems like a real possibility.
Things were really looking up!
Things were not looking up. Their plates were grumpily taken away by the owner of the stand as Weiss' card was rejected. She was like the richest person in the whole planet. What the heck just happened?!
"This doesn't make any sense! I'm barely into my months allowance!" She disputed, but that didn't stop the shop clerk from taking their bowls away and denying service.
It seems like she and Yang are going to have to pull their own weight here. If they want to have some victory snacks.
"Maybe I could help?"
Or not…
The more than welcomed smile on Felix's face appeared on the other side of the stand, accompanied by the members of Team NPR whom looked a bit awkward at approaching them. Yet seemed to be willing to at least come near them again, that's a win in her book.
"Felix! Yes!" Another win was the fact that her hunger would get satisfied.
Yang gives him an awkward smile. "You don't really have to. It's fine!" She tried to wave off, but the roaring on her belly gave her away. "But if you could…"
"It's not a problem. You earned it after that battle," Felix said, sitting on the other side of the stand along with his team. "Right guys?"
"Of course. It was an outstanding performance," Pyrrha complimented, smiling. Though Ruby could tell it was strained. She thinks things improved since the bridge, but it wasn't the same as when Jaune was around.
As Felix paid, and his credit card did got accepted and the plates were served. There was a moment of awkward silence between the two groups in which Ruby knew what had to happen. She nudged Weiss with her shoulder and gestured at the other team, more specifically the members from Beacon.
Weiss took a deep breath and released it before clearing her throat. "Ehem. I… would like to deeply apologize." She began regally, jeez would it kill her to do it a bit warmly? "After recent events, including the breach, I've realized that my words were deeply out of place. Ar—Jaune, had the best of intentions in my mind and showed genuine care in being a Huntsman and a team leader and… I'm sorry I insulted those efforts I… I really am."
Okay, that last part was actually touching. Ruby was never as upset as NPR was for Weiss' comments, yet they did hurt especially since it was one friend badmouthing another, so her words did soothe her. Looking over at the other team she saw them looking aback by the apology, and exchanging looks between them as if questioning if it was real.
Finally, Pyrrha spoke, "We appreciate it Weiss. And for what is worth, we are sorry for Blake…" She said, as sincere as Weiss.
"Let's accord bygones be bygones and start again," Ren said serenely with a nod.
"That way we'll have more people to cheer for us in the festival!" Nora smirked, leaning back into her stool forgetting there was nothing behind and making arm windmills to stop her fall. "A-Aaaah!" She succeeded. "Safe!"
That moment of humor brought chuckles from everyone. Ruby glanced around, seeing that what once was during the beginning of the school year was coming back. She looked at Felix, seeing him smiling softly at his team. He noticed her staring and smiled back. Awww, he must be happy for them mending things with NPR.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's dig in!" He said, gesturing to the bowls of noodles in front of them.
No one had to be told twice, specially her team after their amazing victory. And let her be honest, the noodles were even more amazing. She hoped she could eat them as long as the festival goes on!
Ugh… If she doesn't see another noodle in her life then she'll be happy. How can everyone else look so satisfied like they eat a normal plate when she feels she's going to pop?
"Welp!" Felix clasped his hands together and then rubbing his belly before releasing a burp. "New strategy. I will barf right in front of our opponents and hope they slip in the resulting puddle."
Ruby chortled. Covering her face to avoid letting the snickers left her mouth.
"Ohhh! Great strategy! Ren write it down!" Nora said, nodding eagerly.
"One: I don't have a notebook. Two: We are not doing that," Ren said with a straight face and pressing a hand on Nora's head to settle her down.
Now that the topic was on the battles Ruby saw her opportunity to strike. She leaned over the stand and batted her eyelashes in a way she has seen Yang do with boys in Signal. She must be doing it wrong, because Weiss and Yang were looking at her funny.
She has started the act; she has to continue through it! "Sooo… Feliiix…" She said in a casual tone.
Or not so casual, considering the amusement in Felix's eyes. Then he imitated her; leaning on the counter and batting his eyelashes just like her. "Soooo, Rubyyy…" He said in the same tone as he did.
Suck it up, Ruby. You need to ask him!
"How's your dad?" It's not what she wanted to ask. But politeness comes first.
"Making full recovery, but we both know what you want to ask abou —"
"Did you finish the weapon!?" She blurted out, then covered her mouth and her eyes darted around. Seeing that Yang looked moments away from bursting into laughter and Weiss shaking her head. Oh well, there goes subtlety. "… Did you?"
Felix tapped his chin for a moment. Looked at his Scroll, then at his team, then back at her. "The gun?"
"Yeah."
"The one you've been helping me with?"
"Uh-huh."
"The one I took with me to Mistral to visit my dad?"
"Yup."
"The one you put every free time into helping because you are a great friend, but above all else as I've come to realize in the time I've known you, a weapon nut?"
"I am not—" A cough escaped from Yang as she sent her a meaningful look and Ruby flushed. "Yeah…"
Felix looked at her with amusement for a moment. Took a sip from his drink. Then when he was finished, he opened his mouth and…
"NEXT COMBATANTS PLEASE PRESENT YOURSELVES IN AMITY COLISSEUM FOR THE NEXT BATTLE!" Professor Port's voice echoed through the stands.
"Oh well, there's our cue," Felix said with satisfaction and a shrug.
"B-B-B-But!" She stuttered. He didn't tell her anything!
Felix turned around and waved. "Please don't stare at my butt!" Nora let out a bark of laughter while Pyrrha swatted his arm and admonished him.
Ruby was left there, reaching out her hand and wanting to get the chance to see their weapon up close. But now that chance was leaving…
"Ruby, we are literally going to see the fight in less than half an hour," Yang told her with a deadpan expression. "You can see the weapon then."
But she wanted to see it noooooow!
Stupid Felix!
Stupid Crater Face.
No, scratch that. Stupid Remnant. Stupid Beacon students. And stupid festival!
Yet another source of entertainment gone. The grudge NPR had for RWBY was amusing to watch and now there was some sort of temporary truce. And unlike in Chorus he couldn't kill the leaders of both sides and pin them on one another. So yeah, he was feeling pretty fucking frustrated. Luckily, he was about to take down his anger on some poor idiots that were his first-round opponents.
What were their names again?
"NEXT UP! A THRILLING COMBAT BETWEEN THE EXOTIC COMBINATION OF HALF-MISTRALIAN HALF-VALEAN: TEAM NPR!"
Even he couldn't find a way to add his name in the team, huh…
"VERSUS THE TEAM THAT IS NOT LOOKING FOR A BRONZE MEDAL: TEAM BRNZ!"
Oh, that was their name. Thanks, fat-ass.
"Okay," he said, counting and recounting the knives inside his vest. "Everyone knows the plan, right?" he gave a wider smile to a certain bomber on the team. "Is your time to shine, Nora!" He said tossing his improved Magnum gun at her. Cinder's goons in the White Fang did some tweaks during the break along with his DMR. And of course, the weapon he got from Ruby.
"Ooooh, yeaaah," She was basically drooling when she got the gun. The prospect of what was about to happen making her eager.
The plan depended a bit on what kind of field they'd be fighting, but it was still a solid one and a bit inspired on Team RWBY's victory. To make sure Nora is out of sight. When they are close to one another, unleash the ginger girl on them and win by ring out.
Sounded simple, yes. But the strategy not only work for the likes of Team RWBY but also in battlefields against Covenant aliens. He had seen the same strategy played in different way with various degrees of positive success.
This would be no exception.
They made their way to the stadium where the roulette spun and selected the biomes at play; forest and thundering mountains. When he saw them, Felix wanted to laugh. Seems his Magnum was going to be unnecessary.
"READY…?! STAAAART!"
