The moon shined brightly down on Amity Park, where high above the streets. Danny Phantom is in hot pursuit of a dark black ghost with red eyes, purple mouth, and a wavy outline throughout her body. At first glance; Danny had easily mistaken her for Johnny Thirteen's Shadow, but when he got a much more closer look at her, he saw the very major differences between the two, especially since she can talk in a Scottish accent.
"Get away from me! You bleeding! Annoying lad!" Throwing some snapping lobsters at him, Danny quickly went intangible causing the snapping sea creatures to go right through him.
So much for taking it easy for a couple days. He pretty much figured that with much of the ghosts repairing their homes after the great Krang invasion of the Ghost Zone, he wouldn't be having any ghost problems for awhile.
But of course. Problems still arose with not only Amity Park being in the middle of a heatwave. He also has to contend with that giant worm occasionally surfacing; causing all sorts of damage whenever it appeared, and the strange supernatural creatures suddenly appearing in town. It's not hard to say that Danny has his work cut out for him.
Now these supernatural creatures were both odd and intimating, not to mention getting a bit out of hand. Why just this week; he had to stop this giant foot fungus with heads on its toes on kicking over a passing train, save Dash from a underwater witch that nearly ate him, and a conjoined pair of sisters that tried to stitch his sister Jazz into a quilt.
Now; he has to go after this ghost after catching her putting some live chickens on top of Tucker's head. At least he can actually catch a break here for unlike those other guys, he can actually suck her up into the Fenton-Thermos.
Turning visible, he fires a blast of ecto-beams at the ghost, who dodges his attack by phasing through a building. Then comes out on Danny's flank, grabbing ahold of his shoulders before slamming him hard into the building.
"Don't interfere with my revenge lad! I will find the descended of the awful woman who fed me husband to the Loch Ness Monster!" She hissed with her face very close to his.
"As tragic and weird that may be. How about I show you a vengeance of my foot!" Opening his hand, a beam strikes her in the face, sending her spinning away from him while screaming in rage.
Getting himself off the building, he flies after her for she isn't going to get away from him.
Down below in the middle of the park. Sam and Tucker watched on as the two fighting phantoms flew above them with the dark ghost throwing a series of bombs at a dodging Danny.
Tucker was struggling to pay attention to the fight as his head still hurts from those pecking chickens earlier. "Aw man! These bumps are going to take forever on getting rid of. I'm telling ya. The next chicken I eat; it's going to be very satisfying."
"You can call it karma for eating them in the first place." Sam remarked with crossed arms, visibly wincing as Danny got hit by a bomb.
"Karma? I helped save the multiverse. I'm very sure that's enough good karma to last me for a lifetime."
"It doesn't hurt to be vegetarian for every once in awhile." She pointed out.
"Never!" He'll never eat any of that rabbit food. He is a pure meat eater through and through.
Rolling her eyes over his stubbornness for being a vegetarian is so much better than being a wild, barbaric carnivore. Sam slowly laid her eyes on a nearby bush, who's leafs are starting to dry up from the heat, right along with the grass, flowers, and the leafs on the trees.
This is extremely worrying for her as this whole heatwave has an extreme effect on the local plant life. If they all don't get any water soon, they'll all swivel up and die.
She'll have to do something to help these poor plants. Perhaps she could form a gardening club or convince the city to give all the plants a daily dose of water. Whatever she is going to do? She'll have to do it very soon before it's too late for all of them.
Glancing over to one wilting blue flower, Sam slowly approaches it, gets down on her knees, and gently touches it; causing a few of its petals to fall off. "Poor little guy. You really need something to drink. If only; wait a second!"
Just remembering that she had packed a bottle of water for these hot temperatures. Sam takes it out and gladly gives the flower a much needed drink.
It made her smile wide as she watched the flower slowly stand back up to its full health, however; the steady stream of water hitting the ground attracts something else. Something that's digging through the ground like Bugs Bunny, that's steadily getting closer to the source of water and to Sam.
"Oh man! That was a great kick!" Tucker then exclaimed, which made her look back up to the sky and just witness the dark ghost falling towards the ground with Danny floating triumphantly in the sky.
The mound of dirt gets closer and closer. Tearing right through a bush and right up to the flower. Launching out of the mound of dirt is some kind of large mole with red eyes and nasty sharp teeth that bites down on Sam's wrist.
Feeling the sudden jolt of pain. Sam reacted by shooting up to her feet and let out a loud shout as she held onto her bleeding wrist. Looking down at what had just bitten her, she only catches a brief glimpse of the mole's head as it ducked back down into its hole.
"Sam! Are you okay?" Having been alerted by Sam's shout, Tucker is quick to be by her side as she continued to hold onto her bleeding wrist, which nearly made him faint as he doesn't do very good when it came to the mere sight of fresh blood.
"Gah! Some kind of mole or something bit me!" Oh man. This hurts so bad.
"I'm sorry, but did you say a mole?" He never heard of a mole biting someone before.
"I think it was a mole. I only caught a brief glance of it." Looking back down to her wrist; much of the blood has slowed down as it leaked out of the nasty bite wound.
"Oh man! That's nasty! Do you need to go to a hospital?" He wasn't much of a big fan of hospitals, but he'll see her off at the front desk and stay there for awhile before his growing fear eventually forces him out.
"I don't think it's serious, but I should go anyway just in case." She didn't want to end up with rabies over this.
"Come on. Let's go get Danny." Walking by her side, they quickly go to where Danny has recently landed.
Having the ghost exactly where he wanted. Danny takes quick aim and fired the thermos, sending out a blue beam of energy that wraps around the screaming ghost before sucking her into the thermos.
Blowing the smoking thermos like a cowboy with a freshly fired gun. Danny promptly seals it up and puts it safely away.
Having that bomb throwing ghost finally captured, he changes back into his human self while simultaneously dusting off his hands in satisfaction. "Finally that's done. Perhaps now. I can finally have a rest before fighting anymore of these random weirdos."
"Danny!"
Alarmed by his friends suddenly rushing on up to him with intense anxiety in their eyes, Danny widens his own eyes in huge concern upon seeing Sam's ghastly injury. "Oh my gosh Sam! What happened to you?!"
"A mole bit her." Tucker answered.
Did he hear that correctly? "Uh. Did you say a mole?"
"I know how weird it sounds, but we can discuss this after I get admitted to a hospital." Her wrist was really starting to throb now and she really wanted something to ease it up.
Still confused about a mole biting her, Danny nonetheless goes back into ghost mode and grabbed both of his friends by the hands. "Right. Hold on guys; this is going to be a rather fast flight."
Zooming off into the sky, Danny heads straight for the hospital with the hopes that Sam is going to be alright. All the while; she hoped that her parents won't somehow blame this whole mess on Danny.
But on their flight path towards the hospital, they fly over a farmhouse that has landed across the street from Nasty Burger.
From the front, left window on the first floor; a small, pink dog is nervously looking around his new unfamiliar surroundings, when he happened to look up towards the sky and caught sight of Danny flying by.
Widening his eyes in disbelief on what he had just saw, he slowly takes them out of their sockets and cleans them briefly before setting them back into place and looked back out, where he catches them flying in the sky just before they disappeared behind a skyscraper.
Confirming on what he had saw. He lets out a loud scream with his jaws splitting in half for a brief moment before running on over to his owners; Muriel and Eustace Bagg, who were currently watching TV.
Frantically pointing towards the window, he hops up and down, babbling rabidly while shifting his body into a scary version of Danny, he then shifts back and stood there with a low whine coming out.
"Stupid dog! Get out of the way!" Eustace demanded, not caring at all for what caused the dog to get all worked up.
It's the opposite for his wife Muriel, who leaned herself forward on her rocking chair with concern for her sweet little Courage. "What's the matter Courage?"
Motioning for her to fallow him. Courage leads her out to the porch and rapidly pointed upwards with more babbling.
Looking up herself. She doesn't see anything but the stars, moon, and a plane passing by. Turning to Courage sweetly, she gently pats his head. "It's okay Courage. I'm sure you only saw a plane."
Patting him on the head some more, she happily goes back into the house. Leaving Courage to stare up at the sky, scanning around for the flying boy he had seen. He knew it was no plane, it was a flying boy, he was sure of it or his name wasn't Harry Henderson and it's not.
This was all just so scary! Being in the middle of a unknown city after a huge dust storm raged through Nowhere, that lifted up the farmhouse and brought them here. This was all very unfamiliar territory and as all Courage knew; the unknown people he saw walking around here could be very dangerous.
For his owners; Muriel doesn't exactly mind the sudden change of scenery for she thinks it's lovely to be in the company of neighbors that she happily greeted with her world famous pies. Eustace on the other hand hated it, he was no city guy, he was pure country through and through. All these stupid skyscrapers only reminded him that those people had money, but not him. What's worse is that because they were all suddenly swept away here, he lost his favorite show on the TV, leaving him to search for another show to watch.
Courage doesn't know on what to do to get them all home, not even his computer could come up with an answer. All he can do is settle down here and hope that nothing else scary happens.
Suddenly rising up from the ground in front of him. Box Ghost presented himself to the small dog with his arms raised up dramatically. "BEWARE DOG! FOR I AM THE BOX GHOST!"
Letting out another loud scream with his heart, lungs, stomach, and intestines poking out of his mouth. Courage stays there screaming for a second before dashing himself into the house with a puff of smoke left behind, while completely not knowing that he had inadvertently freaked out Box Ghost enough to fly away.
Having reached the hospital in no time. Danny and Tucker patiently waited for Sam's test results to be over.
Danny informed his parents on where he was currently at, so that they wouldn't be wondering on why he was going to be missing his curfew again. They completely understand the situation and told Danny that they would be around to pick him up in about fifteen minutes.
Oh! He really hopes that they weren't going to do anything to embarrass him.
Tucker on the other hand is completely struggling to keep himself calm. His fear of hospitals were going into absolute overdrive with all the doctors and nurses walking around, the sounds of the hospital, the occasional passing of unconscious patients on beds or equipment with sharp needles visible. He practically jumped out of his seat when Danny rested a hand on his shoulder.
"Dude. It's okay."
"You know how I am when it comes to hospitals Danny. I mean; did you see those needles! They can poke through a tractor tire!" A passing nurse pushing a cart full of IV bags nearly causes him to faint on the spot.
"Chill Tucker. As soon as we get word of Sam's health. We can leave." He really hoped it wasn't rabies. That disease was straight up nasty.
"Please be soon." Tucker exclaimed for he is very close to loosing it at this point.
Waiting for a few more minutes. The door to Sam's room finally opened up with her stepping out of it with a bandage wrapped around her wound. "Thanks for the look over doctor. The bill should be covered."
"So," Danny began as they both go up to her. "Did you get rabies or anything else we should be worry about?"
"Thankfully no. All I really suffered from is a nasty bite that'll leave behind a pretty cool scar on my wrist." She reassured.
"So; your going to be alright?" Tucker asked.
"Yeah. It's nothing to worry about." Sam waved off, while slightly looking down at her bandage wrist. The doctor had told her that the pain and soreness from whatever that animal inflicted on her, should go away in a couple of hours, but until then; she has to deal with it.
"In that case. Let's get out of here. My anxiety is seriously shooting out through the roof." Seeing another nurse coming down the hall with a cart full of more sharp needles. Tucker simply couldn't take any more of this and ran off in a flash, leaving his friends to briefly glance at each other before walking off to catch up with him.
Waiting patiently outside for Danny's parents arrival. The three sat on the courtyard steps with each of them either tapping their feet, fiddling their fingers, or looking up at the night sky.
"I still can't believe a mole; out of all things. Did that to you." Danny remarked.
"I think it was a mole." Sam remarked. "I really only caught a brief glimpse of the animal." Those eyes and teeth are hard to forget.
"What did it look like exactly?" Tucker asked for he needed to know.
"It was bigger than any mole I ever seen before. It had these dark red eyes and these nasty, dagger like teeth." It must be a undiscovered species, no one has ever seen.
"What the heck kind of mole is that?" Tucker never heard of a mole with sharp teeth before.
"Maybe it came with all these other weirdos that are suddenly popping up all over the place." For Danny; this seems a bit convenient that some weird, meat eating mole is suddenly around town, when all this weird activity is occuring.
Hopefully this isn't going to become a big enough problem for him to get involve in. He is already juggling enough on his hands with all these creeps popping out from nowhere.
"That's a strong possibility. Hopefully; it won't cause any damage to the surrounding environment as invasive species aren't great for it at all."
"I just hope that it won't try to eat anyone." Tucker commented for getting eaten by a killer mole is a very odd way to go out.
"I don't think it can do that, but we should keep an eye out just in case." Sam remarked.
Just then; speeding right into the parking lot is the Fenton RV that comes to a screeching stop in front of them. Pulling down the window, Mrs. Fenton pokes her head out. "Hey kids."
"Maddie! Scanners are picking up a slight detection of ghost energy not so far from here." Jack Fenton excitingly exclaimed for tonight would be a good night for a ghost hunt.
His wife fully agrees, but for now, they have other priorities to do. "Sorry Jack. We gotta drop Danny and his friends off."
Lowering his head down in disappointment, Jack was really hoping to use both the Ecto-beams and the Fenton Fishing Net tonight.
"Don't worry. We can track that ghost down after we drop the kids off." Maddie whispered into his ear, earning a fresh new smile to appear on her husband.
"Well. Our ride's here." Getting up from the steps. Danny and his friends head for the RV, with him hoping that they can get out of here before his parents do anything embarrassing.
Sam in the meantime; takes another look at her wrist. It was still throbbing much to her displeasure and she was going to have to endure this for a couple of hours, which was going to be just peachy.
The only thing worse than the pain is the full on knowing of the upcoming storm with her worried parents.
She didn't know how this could get any worse for her.
"Any status reports of our current situation Number 2?" Standing on the top balcony of the Sector V Treehouse. Nigel Uno; AKA Number 1 of the Kids Next Door, closely observed their new surroundings.
"From the readouts I gave out an hour ago. Not to mention the freaky tornado that brought us here. It seems that we're in another world." It's pretty cool when you think about it. It was something straight right out of a comic book.
"This is just like the Wizard Of Oz. Except we don't have any adorable munchkins to sing for us." Number 3 exclaimed as she placed a red rainbow monkey on the mountain shape pile of stuffed animals.
Nearby; Number 4 practices his kicks and punches on a punching bag. "If you ask me. This is all some sort of adult plot to remove us and take over our old sector." Punching the bag hard, it swings back, then forward which results in it getting a spinning kick.
"Oh yeah. Send us all to a pleasant neighborhood. How nefarious." Number 5 sarcastically stated as she flipped a page of her magazine. To her; this neighborhood looked cool enough, even if it was brightly colored and it felt like their bodies were now in 2D.
"Number 4 does have a point Number 5. Without us securing that sector. Any adult will see that as a great opportunity to pull off an evil scheme against any defenseless kid." Turning around to address his team with hands clasped behind his back, he could already see those like Stickybeard stealing kids candy or those Delightful Dorks making a beam that'll turn every kid like them.
"Number 2. Is there any way to get back into our own world?"
"I haven't found anything yet, but I'll try to figure it out."
"Excellent. While you do that. I'll make a wide sweep of the area for any adult activity."
Saluting to him. Number 2 goes off to begin his work, but the timely buzz of the alarm stopped him in his tracks.
"Red alert! Action stages everyone!" Rushing into the briefing room, Number 1 and the others quickly situated themselves around the hologram.
Lighting up; the hologram displays a two story house where inside it, they witness a teenager with a ponytail, laughing evilly at a beaver tooth boy in a pink hat.
To their utter horror. She had him strapped down to a medieval table with a live blow torch aiming at him.
"Holy moly! That kid is about to get torched!" Number 2 cried.
"Everyone! Immediate battle stations!" This was now a very dire situation. They needed to save that kid right away before that vile teenager burns him.
Quickly rushing over to several tubes with their numbers painted on the doors. They slide all the way down into the awaiting S.C.A.M.P.E.R., where after getting into their respectful stations. They blast off towards the distress kid's house. Which really didn't take that long for they were above it in mere seconds.
"We're above the target Number 1." Number 2 informed while visibly shaking as that crazy teenager was moving the flames of the blowtorch more closer and closer to the screaming kid.
"Excellent Number 2. Now that kid doesn't have that much time for us to do a typical sweep around the house. We're going have to go in with swift action."
Clenching his fist in excitement, Number 4 loved it when they do swift action. "Alright!"
Landing their vehicle on the street. They all poured out of it and ran to the front door, sticking to the sides; they waited as Number 1 counts down to zero with his fingers before he kicked open the door and they all stormed into the house with their weapons at ready.
Taken by complete surprise by the sudden arrival of the Kids Next Door. The teenager turns to them with the flames of the blowtorch burning above them like a whip. "What the? More twerps? Oh well, more Misery for me."
"Not tonight. Teenager!" Number 1 snapped before shooting at her with Numbers 2 and 5. Together they strike her in the belly with a volley of rubber balls, sending her flying back against the wall, where Numbers 3 and 4 used the gum blasters to keep her in place with a big blob of gum.
With only her head free, she struggles to move with intense rage building up inside of her. "Get me out of here!"
"No way teen! Numbers 2 and 5. Get the kid free. Numbers 3 and 4. Keep your weapons trained on her." Going over to supervise the kid's freedom, he makes darn sure to keep an eye on the struggling teen.
"When I get out of here! Your all are going to be so dead!" She screamed before having her mouth covered up by gum.
"Shut your pie hole!" Number 4 stated with his weapon still trained on her.
"How are those restraints doing?" Number 1 asked.
"Got it!" Number 2 answered in joy as the restraints came loose. Setting the kid free as he jumps off the table and looked at all of them strangely, clearly being confused on what was currently happening?
"Who are you guys?" He asked.
"No time to explain kid." Number 5 replied as she took ahold of his hand and practically dragged him out of the house with the others; as they all still trained their weapons on the struggling teenager.
Only Number 1 remained in the house as he trained his sunglasses on her with a glare. "Consider this a visit from the Kids Next Door."
Readjusting his glasses. Number 1 leaves and joins the rest of his team in the awaiting S.C.A.M.P.E.R. Closing the door; the vehicle lifts up and flies back towards the treehouse.
Standing in the middle of the flying vehicle, Timmy Turner is recollecting everything that has just happened. On one hand it was awesome on seeing Vicky getting stuck to the wall by gum, but on the other hand; who on Earth were these guys with the cool gadgets and vehicle?
"How you doing kid?" Number 5 finally asked him.
"Um, fine. Can someone tell me on what just happened?"
"You were saved by the Kids Next Door. That's what happened." Number 4 replied.
"Kids Next Door?" He never heard of them before.
"Indeed. We're an organization of kids with the sworn duty to help out any kid in need against the tyranny of both adults and teenagers. We've recently been dropped into your town by strange circumstances, leaving us as the only KND sector in this area. Despite this, and the need to get back into our own world. We'll still help out any kid in need." Number 1 explained.
"That sounds awesome! I especially love what you did with Vicky back there. She's going to have gum stuck in her hair for a week." It's so hysterical, Timmy could laugh. In fact; he'll do so right now.
"Your welcome. By the way; I love your hat. Do you know where I can find one?" Number 3 could use a new hat for one of her rainbow monkeys.
"I don't know. I think my parents bought it from online or some store." Timmy shrugged.
"Why do you even have such a girly hat anyway?" Number 4 questioned with visible disgust as he doesn't do so well with pink.
"My parents were expecting a girl." Was all he could reply with before looking out the window and down to the passing houses below. Timmy smiled brightly for with these guys now around his neighborhood; his troubles with Vicky are pretty much over. Perhaps he can even join their organization just to get his hands on one of those cool weapons.
Struggling against the gum, Vicky didn't even budge an inch as it was just so sticky. She swears that if she ever gets out of this gum. She'll make those twerps greatly suffer, until they wished that they weren't even alive.
Struggling some more against the sticky gum. She then catches sudden movement in the corner of her eye. Looking down, she saw a black can rolling across the floor before stopping right in front of her.
Staring down at the mysterious can, she visibly jumps as it lets out a hiss of green smoke that comes out and quickly surrounds her.
The gum then becomes hard before cracking itself up and breaking down into tiny pieces. Freeing up Vicky as she fell to the floor on her knees with the relief that she didn't have to worry about any gum being stuck in her hair.
"Boy. Who ever did that? Thanks a lot."
Stepping into the house; the Delightful Children From Down The Lane deviously smiled at her for she can be very useful to them. "Your welcome. And we have a wonderful proposition for you."
