Hi to you all! Here I am back with a new chapter. I hope this is much better than the very short prologue xD Also as a reminder I have the poll up on my page. Now that there's a better view of both stories, I think voting would be easier. It will determine which story will get more frequent updates. So let's dive in to the new chap!

I don't own db/z or the characters.

Forced marriage

" Good morning!"

The morning sun was now up shining brightly. Hugging the kingdom of fire mountain with its warmth. The chirps of a few birds along with her right hand lady had finally woke the princess up from her slumber. Slowly she rubs her eyes and sees her lady dancing. She shakes her head giggling at the silly dance.

" I'm up no need for the ridiculous dance. One of these days you'll get caught. I'm sure of it."

The lady stops and pouts playfully. " I'll have you know princess Chichi I have flocks of people watching me in the mornings before arriving. It's good for the limbs. No I won't unless you say something." She bounces over to the bed and grabs the princess by the hand. " Now up out of the bed! I already have your bath ready."

Chichi is forcefully pulled out almost losing her balance as she's shoved into her bathroom. " Bulma what's with you? You normally aren't this energetic. Did something happen on your way here?"

Bulma shuts the door as she goes over to the princess's bed removing the bed sheets. " Nothing special. Just met this wonderful woman on my way. She told me I was graceful with each step I take. Said I could challenge you for best posture in the land."

Chichi in the tub had began applying scented soaps on her long dark locks. " You can take that from me. Have no idea how much I struggle with keeping my posture perfect in front of honorable guest my father brings. Sometimes I wish I could go around wearing nothing more than a dress and run barefoot around the castle. My father would never live it down."

Bulma tucks some strands of her aqua hair behind her ears. She walks over to the princess's spacious closet and rummages through the pile of clothes. Some thrown on the floor and others hanging. " Haha, now you get my way of thinking. Be free and do as you please. Life is best that way believe me."

Finishing her bath, Chichi steps out and grabs a towel set for her on the corner table. She dries her body off and hair. Afterwards puts on a bathrobe and looks at herself in the mirror. She runs a finger down her cheek. " I feel like going all natural today."

She steps out and see her clothes for the day laying on her bed. Then out of the blue a pair of hands were on her shoulders pushing her towards the bed. Chichi sees it's one of the most traditional dresses she owned. The only time she wore dresses like this was when important guest would come over. She makes a face staring down at the dress. She picks it up and gives Bulma a look.

" Is today some special occasion I'm not aware of?"

Bulma gives her a smile nodding as she playfully taps the princess's head. " You surely are aware. Yesterday your father informed all of us that the king and his son were coming to discuss future plans of the kingdoms. I think it's the Kingdom of Light."

Chichi's eyes widen as she says " It can't be! I thought my father cut ties with them after the fight they had. Told me once that the king was too full of himself. Not to mention his son. Once I saw him at their palace. He was treating everyone like hounds. It was awful."

" Sounds like he gets pampered a little too much. Just because he's the prince doesn't give him the right to be so cruel. Maybe with your father's permission I'll attend the meeting. I'll make something up. Like you're having headaches and need assistance. To get a good look at him. We could even make fun of him."

They both burst out loud laughing as Chichi signals Bulma to go. " You love making fun of people. Go on I have to get dressed. I'll meet you after breakfast at the front hall."

Bulma sticks her tongue out as she makes her way to the door. " What can I say? I like to make fun of horrible people. Makes them a little more likeable. Okay I'll meet you there but don't forget to do your hair. Or I'll embarrass you in front of the maids like last time."

" Alright, I'll make sure to style it. No need to tell me twice." Chichi waves at Bulma as she closes the door.

Chichi sighs smiling. She was glad she had Bulma as her right hand lady. She always helped make her duty as princess more tolerable. Bulma was just so lively and wasn't afraid of stepping out of her comfort zone. She would take challenges head on. Most of the time succeeding. When she would fail, she'd shake it off and always say she'd try harder next time. She was actually the reason Chichi broke away from being the same boring old princess that everyone wanted her to be. Who would have thought a young woman like her would have so much influence in her life now. She was the only one the princess trusted to spill out anything on her mind. Bulma was always there to comfort her when she felt lonely, sad or angry. Always would try to cheer her up.

'I have to quickly finish. Knowing those people are coming, they'll be impatiently waiting for me.'

The princess finishes up and heads for the dinning room. She finishes her breakfast and excuses herself. She heads for the spot she mention in the morning to Bulma. As always Bulma was waiting by the window next to the front doors. Everything from the front could be seen through it. Bulma had her back to her as Chichi decides to sneak up on her. She slowly tip-toes, glad that she decide to wear a pair of flats and quickly places her hands on Bulma's shoulders.

" Ahh!" Bulma screams as she bounces away. She catches her breath as she sees it was the princess.

Chichi begins laughing as she sees Bulma's eyes narrow.

" Oh haha, that's the last time I'm letting you scare me."

" Don't get mad. I did it for fun. You do it all the time."

Bulma sighs shaking her head as she says " You have a point. I'll let you get away with it only if I get to do your hair for the next meeting."

Chichi grumbles back " Fine but you better not pull something like in my last meeting."

" I remember that so well. You were meeting up with the other Princesses. They couldn't stop laughing at you!"

" Yes now they don't take me seriously. Whatever I didn't fit in with them anyways." Chichi hears a commotion down the hall between a few maidens.

She steps aside and see they were arguing about what kind of flowers to place in the vases. Chichi didn't understand what was the big deal. They normally always go with a seasonal batch. Just before she was going to go over to them, Bulma yanks her over to the window. She sees a dark blue carriage being pulled by two dark horses. Those horses were rare around Fire mountain. Most who owned one had to pay a high price. Chichi watches the carriage come to a halt. Seconds later she sees someone step out. It looked like a young man. He was dressed from what it looked like a royal guard.

" Who could that be? I thought it was just the king and the prince coming." Bulma says as she presses her nose up against the window to get a better look. " Wow he is quite handsome."

Chichi slightly pokes Bulma with the fan she had in hand. Bulma looks up at her as she shrugs.

" Just stating the obvious. I mean look at that wild hair and those arms. You don't see men like that everyday." Bulma says, looking back at the scene. She saw that the man was already on the last step as she began to panic.

" Princess we have to make a run for it! He's about to come in any-"

The front doors open as both young ladies froze. They see the young man looking back and forth as he stops when spotting them. Bulma rushes in front of the princess trying to block the guard's view of her. She nervously smiles as she clasp her hands together. The young man raises a brow at her confused as he takes a few steps over to them.

" Excuse me, I'm here with the king and prince of the Kingdom Light. Wanted to know if the king is available to receive them."

The man tilts his head aside trying to get a look of the person behind the aqua haired woman. In seconds he is face to face with the what appeared to be maid glaring at him. She wags a finger at him.

" Run I'll handle this man who doesn't know how to respect!"

He backs up and sees that the figure had dashed off. He caught glimpse of the person. It was a woman with long dark hair wearing a elegant dress. His eyes grew as he felt a poke on the chest. His focus shifts to the woman in front of him.

" No need to look back there. I'm right here so the carriage out there belongs to the King huh? Looks very fancy." Bulma tries to change the subject.

The guard lowers his eyes at the maid. His relaxed posture changes as his face switches to serious. Bulma takes a step back as a bead of sweat falls.

" Not sure if you heard me. I'm here to ask if the king is prepared to meet with his majesty and son. Should know your place as well."

She couldn't believe how quick the man had changed. He might be handsome but he really knew how to get on her bad side. Bulma sticks up her nose.

" With your attitude I doubt the king would want to meet with you. He doesn't like people that are full of themselves. Ugh so be it. I'll go ask if he's ready. Stay outside until I return. That's a order stuck up."

Bulma sped down the end of the hall. She takes a sharp right turn. ' I wonder if I'll get away with this. If the Ox King finds out, he's going to give me time away again. Maybe two weeks off this time. I need to learn how to hold back.'

' Phew that was close.' Chichi was now back in her room. She knew she'd be called in for the meeting soon. Rubbing her temples, she makes her way to her bed. ' I can't believe I'll have to see him again.'

With a huff, she starts remembering the last time she saw the so called prince.

They were invited to the Spring Ballroom Dance. Many came from different kingdoms. Chichi was about fourteen at the time. She still obeyed her lady that was in charge of teaching her all she had to know. She couldn't even remember the name of the woman. The woman was such a fake. Always taking advantage of Chichi but in front of her father was a suppose angel. She was glad the day her father caught the woman forcing her to fit into a pair of shoes. The lady was banned from entering the castle again. Unfortunately, it happened after the dance.

That day Chichi was forbidden from speaking with the other princes. The only one who was allowed around her was prince Vegeta from the Kingdom of Light. So many of the other princesses found him handsome. Chichi not so much. When they had a chance to speak, Vegeta would say some harsh things in front of the others. He'd mock her for her looks and would say she'd never get married. She was too hideous. Chichi could only roll her eyes at his bad remarks. Her father at the time was acquainted with King Vegeta. They were the only two kings that would share ideas to keep their kingdoms from crumbling. But that afternoon Vegeta had overstepped way too far. He grouped up with a few others and attacked Chichi. She cried and screamed for help. That's when everyone found out Vegeta's true nature. The Ox King couldn't believe the boy's behavior. He spoke to King Vegeta that his son needed to be taught better. King Vegeta simply laughed and said that his daughter was the one who should learn to respect men. This makes the Ox King explode. He reaches behind his shoulder and pulls out his axe. King Vegeta's arm changed to a shade of blue. A flamed energy fueled sword forms. They go at each other as Vegeta stopped with the others. They go over to see the fight going on with the kings. Chichi tries sitting up as she then wipes her teary eyes. She looks over at the entrance. She sees her father wielding his axe at King Vegeta's flamed blue sword. Her eyes grew. Wasn't her father friends with him? A few guards manage pulling the kings apart as the Ox King furiously yells out that he never wanted him or his son to ever disrespect his daughter again. After that day, she never saw them again.

A knock on the door interrupts her past memories as she sees Bulma's head pop in.

" It's time to meet with the King and son. Your father told me to meet him in front of the office doors."

Chichi lays her fan on the bed. She walks over to the door passing Bulma. As they go down the hall, Bulma scrunches Chichi's curls up. Thought it could help the curls from becoming loose. Chichi shoos her as Bulma stops. They continue until they arrive. Chichi walks up to her father. Bulma decides to stay back waiting for any orders. The Ox King chuckles as he motions Bulma to come over.

" I will allow you to come in lady Bulma. Since this meeting is with the wicked King Vegeta and his son. I'd like you to remain behind my daughter through the entire meeting. If you pick up anything suspicions or feel the need to flee with Chichi, do so. I will have two guards standing by out here. Tell them to come in if need be."

Bulma stands still for a bit but then nods. The King probably wanted a witness if anything happens. Goes to show how much the king trusted her. Ox King enters first followed by Chichi and Bulma. As they walk down, Chichi sees two men sitting and the guard she saw earlier standing by. Once seeing her father, the king and prince stand. Chichi's eyes meet up with Vegeta's. She glares at him as a smirk forms on his lips. The two kings take their seats at the ends of the table as the prince and princess sit in the middle face to face. Bulma stands behind Chichi as the guard remains standing arms crossed behind the prince.

" Why have you requested this meeting with us?" the Ox King bluntly asks as he receives a chuckle from King Vegeta. " Quite the greeting from the Ox King. Last I remember we would greet each other in a more friendly manner."

The Ox King sits up as he gives a fake smile. " Hello your highness. How may I serve you today? Is that what you expected from me?"

" No, more the opposite. I thought you would have kicked me out by now. Guess you are the gentle giant many claim you to be." King Vegeta sees Ox King's eyes narrow. " Well I'm not here to speak of that. I'm actually here to make an offer."

All eyes were on the saiyan king. What could this wicked king want to offer? King Vegeta reaches over to grab a hold of a cup filled with wine. He eyes the red liquid before taking a swing of it. He sets the cup down. Ox King eyes him with a raised brow.

" Very trusting of you. For all you know, I could have asked one of the maids to throw poison in that drink."

The saiyan king smirks cupping his chin. " Ha, don't make me laugh. You don't have the gall to do such a thing. Even if you would have, my son and his guard would destroy you and this castle."

King Vegeta straightens up as he crosses his arms. " Enough with that, my offer is more important. Seeing as your hate for me hasn't ceased, it may be a bit difficult to convince you."

" On with it!" The Ox King bellowed, slamming his fist on the table. " Tell me now what is it that you want."

King Vegeta's eyes narrow as he says " My offer is for your daughter to marry my son."

Everyone stares at the saiyan king shocked. Chichi and Vegeta stare at each other in disgust. Bulma tries to keep herself in check. How is the saiyan king making such a offer? He and the Ox King hated each other! Vegeta stands up and glares at his father.

" What are you speaking of?! Are you mad father?!"

" Hold your tongue boy and sit now!" King Vegeta glares at his son. Vegeta flinches back at the mix of his father's tone of voice and dangerously narrow eyes. He knew that look. He swallows and obeys by sitting back down.

" I expect you to stay silent until I finish speaking to the Ox King. Is that clear?"

Vegeta looks down as he nods. The guard behind the prince raises a hand. King Vegeta gives him permission to speak. " Sire would you like me to escort the prince back to the carriage? I could return if you wish me to keep guard of you."

" No, my son must be present. This does involve him after all."

" Maybe you should allow this young man to do so. I won't allow my daughter to marry that son of yours! He has never treated my daughter like the princess she is. How can you expect me to accept such an offer?"

King Vegeta taps his fingers on the table sighing " Could you be any more blind? I figured you've been catering to all your daughters wishes that you haven't realized we are ranked at the bottom of the kingdoms! The others are bountiful in all areas because of their alliances to each other. Only you and I are the ones they haven't reached out to. Do you know why?"

" We never spoke to them. We only spoke to each other believing we'd only need that. What does all this have to do with this suppose marriage you're on about? How could that help?"

" It would help greatly. We would unify both kingdoms into one. You seem to have a stable land as of now. The only place you're lacking is in strength and power. I exceed the most in that area. We have the most deadly weapon that only ones of Saiyan blood possess. Have a look." King Vegeta points to the guard as he nods.

The guard extends his arm out and focuses on his hand. Slowly a blue light forms in his hand as he closes his eyes. In seconds the blue light burst into flames and shoots up engulfing the guard's body. The guard opens his eyes, revealing a shade of turquoise. He then starts forming various weapons in both hands. The Ox King watches astonished. Last he remembered the Saiyans could only pick one weapon until they tired out. Now these people not only can summon any weapon but wield two at the same time. That was an upgrade from before. As the guard lowers his power, the blue flame disappears as he returns to normal.

" I see you are impressed. Heh, we haven't earned the title of strongest of the kingdoms for nothing. Now then I go back to my offer. Think if any kingdom decides to attack you, do you think you'd last? Fire mountain would go down in flames. Again I'm only doing this to help you and also myself."

A bead of sweat falls down the Ox King's face. Was this really worth it? It was in the aspect of his kingdom's well being, but his poor daughter would have to pay the price. What was the best decision? Go for his kingdom to be safe from harm or his daughter's future? He sighs knowing which was the selfish choice. He wanted to choose it, but this people needed this.

The Ox King shakes his head. " I can't believe I'm saying this but fine, I accept your offer only for the good of the people."

King Vegeta claps as he smirks " Yes what a wonderful king you are. Oh and I forgot to mention. Having an heir to take over will also take part. Your daughter will have to give birth to a son for the prince. If she can't then this offer is over. Don't worry I'll give this about a year."

Before the Ox King had a chance to object, King Vegeta stood up and headed out with the prince and guard following behind. As they hear the doors close, Chichi stands from her seat. She looks at her father hurt.

" I can't believe you allowed this father. You know how Vegeta mistreated me when I was younger! He's a good for nothing snobby prince! You didn't even ask for my opinion either."

The Ox King goes over to hug his daughter. " I'm so sorry. I knew if I'd let you speak, you would have said no. Remember this is for the safety of the kingdom."

Chichi breaks away from the hug and say " What if King Vegeta decides to betray us? What if this is just a act to get closer? I feel like you didn't think this through enough."

Ox King simply sighs as he responds " Chichi please just go to your room. We'll discuss this some other time. Bulma please escort her and make sure she stays. I need some time to think."

" Of course sire." Bulma takes a hold of Chichi's hand and pulls her out of the meeting room.

As Bulma shuts the door, Chichi pulls from her grip and runs down the hall. All she hears was Bulma calling out to her to come back. She didn't care. She felt like running out of this castle. Away from all of this. To escape this fate that was now upon her. She yanks off the ribbon that held her hair up. Her tied hairs come undone as the strands follow behind her. She stops as she approaches the front doors. Pausing to catch her breath, her hands grip on the door handles. Before she could push through, the door opens much to her surprise. On the other side she comes face to face with non other than the guard. Their eyes connect for what felt like an eternity. Chichi now got a better look at the young man. For a split second she saw the man's face change from the grim one he wore at the meeting to a soft one. A friendly one.

" Are you okay?"

Chichi hears his voice. It also had changed. He wasn't speaking with a harsh tone. More of a soft and gentle tone. He offers a hand as she straightens up. Her eyes grow. It was like she completely forgot he was the prince's guard. She takes a step back and narrows her eyes.

" I'm fine. What are you doing back?" She asked folding her arms over her chest.

The guard face's turned back to stern. " I just wanted to inform your father that the King will be off on a journey for a few days. He said that the meet ups with the prince will begin the day after tomorrow. Tell your father. I will be here with the prince to guard him."

Chichi places a hand on her hip as she says " Fine but only if you tell me your name."

" My name is Kakarot, Princess."

And that's it for this chapter! Ooo what do you think so far? Got more for ya to come. Please go vote on my author's page!
