Hello everybody! I've finished my other story so now I can get back into this one. I'm super pumped to continue writing this again, but I do want to go back through my older chapters and clean up some spelling and grammar mistakes I made (curse my perfectionism). Doing this will also allow me to remember any important plot threads I may have started but forgot to write down in my notes. That said, it shouldn't take long for me to reread the five chapters I have up now.
I DO, however, want to go over two anonymous reviews I got. One was funny, the other made me just shake my head.
One lengthy review stated that:
"The reason why there is no male Gerudo in the First place Was Ganondorf Was Sealed For Way Over 10,000 Years Under the castle. The only time a male Gerudo would Be Born Would be After Gandondorf Died in The conclusion of tears of the kingdom. So Newborn Male Gerudo Would be Born after Ganondorf Is Killed."
Yes, anonymous reviewer, everything you said is completely, 100% correct… So what? You do realize what site this is right? Personally, I find Nintendo's whole reason for not having another Gerudo king kind of crap. The Gerudo have existed in Zelda Canon for over 20 years, and we still only have Ganondorf? A missed opportunity in my opinion, and one that this story aims to exploit.
The review continues:
"Male Gerudo being Born Would create so much controversy... But I think there is a solution...Have The Male Gerudo Be under Link's Guidence.. Basically where he is raised properly By Link and Male Gerudo is Link and Zelda's Adoprive Son. The biological Son of Riju He was Raised And they educated him including Why mindy would associate him with Ganondorf."
That's honestly a pretty cool story idea, but not what I want to write, nor do I have any idea where I'd GO with such a story. If you or anyone else went and made it I'd totally read and review it. I'm serious, and not being sarcastic with this, I'd read that story. Now, I did cut off this last section cause it made me laugh the hardest.
"What is his Name? Groose or Booru(Named after Nabooru). You have to be more who legends of How Legend of Zelda Characters are named."
I love Groose, I really do, but none are worthy of such a prestigious name! Jokes aside, I'm guessing the reviewer missed the part where Jin stated he wasn't from Hyrule and, in fact, FAR away. He doesn't NEED to have a Hylian, or even a Gerudo, name, and besides, what difference would it make? Besides, I feel giving him someone else's name would be lazy writing. I want to be able to write Jin in a way where people like him for him, and not just because he shares a name with a popular character.
I DO actually have a head Canon for where Jin is from, and will continue to casually drop some Easter eggs that allude to it, but at the end of the day it's not going to come into play in this story. Although MAJOR bonus points for anyone that does guess it.
I also got a different anonymous review that said: "I hope your oc is not a pedophile..Riju is 18 in Tears of The Kingdom"
Do I even have to answer this review?...Might as well. No, he isn't. These two have essentially just met, and under circumstances that are extremely strange to say the least. To my recollection, I haven't added even the slightest bit of romantic development. I believe the closest thing to that I've written is Rijus curiosity that they both struggle with magic which, in my opinion, would make sense.
Anyway, I'm not upset, and don't want anyone to think I'm discouraged. Just wanted to share some laughs while letting everyone know my next steps. See everybody again soon for the next REAL chapter!
