Charlie and the crew of the ACS Kaori Miyazono had been given an important task
The New Titans and SGDR were holding strong positions on Klebian IV which was the spiritual heartlands of the Dilganese Empire and its culture, the presence of both armies on the planet managed to quash strong Klebian resistance which had gone underground. The Dilganese were preparing an counterattack to recapture the planet, for this task Dil had sent his son Charlie and his fleet which was the 2nd largest in the Empire as well as Angelica's fleet whom Angelica and Chuckie wanted to gain revenge on the SGDR and Titans for the death of their son Jake.
On the ACS Kaori Miyazono
Charlie was sat in his Captain's chair, looking out on the stars, heading towards Klebian IV
"What's the status on the fleets," said Charlie
"We've got around 15 Stu-class vessels as well as 5 Explorer-class vessels, the ACS Cynthia fleet has around 5 Stu-class vessels and 1 Explorer-class vessel," said Liam
"What about the enemy," said Charlie
"It looks fairly even, many of their ships are docked planetside so we can take them down via element of surprise," said Liam
"Do we have enough MS to pull it off," said Ushio
"Possibly, but that's the New Titans strong suit is their MS, and they will possibly have enough to hold us if we aren't smart enough," said Liam
"That's why we should deploy hit-and-run tactics, put Aunt Angelica on comms," said Charlie
Angelica appeared on screen with Chuckie on the seat next to her
"Charlie, what's the plan for this mission," said Angelica
"We are going to deploy hit-and-run tactics and ambush the New Titans/SGDR force before they can deploy their full force," said Charlie
"But what if they patrol the planet, then we will end up alerting their main fleet to join the action," said Angelica
"We've got reports that..." said Charlie before being interrupted
"I don't care about reports Charlie, I want the New Titans and SGDR gone, not just from the Klebian system, but forever, this war ends today" said Angelica
"I want it to end today, but there is still more Titans/SGDR and the Leni forces to fight, if we take Klebian IV then we can split the main Titans force in half," said Charlie
"Which is why we need a full onslaught attack where the Titans and SGDR are picked off one by one," said Chuckie
"Bad idea, our fleet would face heavy losses if we don't use hit-and-run tactics," said Charlie
"Angelica, think how much easier it would be if we took the Titans by surprise, we could even ambush their main fleet," said Ushio
"But I want to draw out their entire main fleet and face the leaders of both the New Titans and SGDR head on," said Angelica
"Aunt Angelica, you can't let your grief cloud your judgement, it could get many of us killed," said Charlie
"Charlie, my son Jake had his future ahead of him and the Titans and SGDR stole that from him, I feel my grief is justified," said Angelica
"We've all lost someone in this conflict, my mother being one of them, all of us want it to end Aunt Angelica," said Charlie
"Your mother started this whole war by provoking the Titans," said Angelica
"The Alien/Titans war was inevitable Aunt Angelica, they wanted to destroy ARI as well as eliminate James and Haman, we had no choice," said Charlie
"We did have a choice, your idiot father thought it was a smart idea to reconnect you with your mother who not only abandoned you and your father, but whose family have been found to be plotting against ARI for years, not only that but James and Haman would have been safe if you hadn't reconnected with Kaori as the Titans wouldn't have been aware of their presence and we would all still being living peacefully" said Angelica
"Don't you dare talk ill of my mother like that Aunt Angelica, I am aware of you and my mother having a grudge," said Charlie
"It's true that Angelica and Kaori didn't get along, however it is true that if you didn't reconnect with your mother, there wouldn't been a war," said Chuckie
"The whole Viola Force idea was stupid I admit, but you can't blame a son who wanted to reunite with his mother," said Charlie
"Lil has been a better mother to you than Kaori ever was, in fact Chuckie do you remember what Kaori said to you not long before she left to Japan," said Angelica
"I do" said Chuckie as he recalled their conversation
Flashback (15 Years Ago)
Kaori was driving her Pontiac Firebird with Charlie in the back seat to Chuckie's house, Chuckie who had finished his 2-year master's course at MIT had moved back into the Yucaipa area along with wife Angelica who had studied at a small university not far from MIT. Kaori was dropping Charlie off at Chuckie's before heading to work as a HR Assistant (She did music teaching part-time).
Kaori knocked on the door to find Chuckie
"Hi Chuckie," said Kaori
"Hello Kaori, Hey Charlie, Jake is in the playroom if you wanna go play" said Chuckie as Charlie ran in to the playroom of the house
"Bye Charlie, have a good time, Chuckie may I speak to you for a minute," said Kaori
"Sure, what is it about," said Chuckie
"I'm thinking of going back to Japan," said Kaori
"To see your family and Charlie meeting your parents" said Chuckie misinterpreting the conversation
"No, like moving back to Japan," said Kaori
"Have you consulted with Dil about moving to Japan with him and Charlie," said Chuckie
"I plan to just move back to Japan on my own," said Kaori sombrely
"Why would you want to move back, you've got a home here in California, you got a dependable boyfriend, and you have a son, Kaori, think of Charlie," said Chuckie
"That's what making me reconsider going back to Japan, Charlie without having a mother to guide him," said Kaori
"What made you consider this as an option," said Chuckie
"I want to see my family Chuckie; I haven't spoken to my parents since I was pregnant with Charlie, and I had news from my doctor that the after-effects of both my old illness and my pregnancy have worn off and I can safely fly back which is something I would have done if it weren't for me being pregnant with Charlie," said Kaori
"So, what you're saying is that you regret being pregnant with Charlie," said Chuckie
"No, not at all, he's my son and I will always love him, but I'm beginning to feel very homesick, and my music career has stalled in America, I've got to get to work, Dil is picking up Charlie in the evening" said Kaori as she turned to head to her Pontiac Firebird
"There's someone else, isn't there, that's what motivating you to go back to Japan" yelled Chuckie
Kaori stormed back to Chuckie's doorstep and said "What makes you think that"
"Simple, you don't want Dil and Charlie to go with you and it's well known that you both grew up with and performed with one of Japan's greatest pianists Kousei Arima," said Chuckie
Kaori didn't respond, she angrily stormed off to her Pontiac Firebird and drove off.
A few hours later
Dil along with Kaori returned to pick up Charlie from Chuckie's house, answering the door was Chuckie as Angelica was working overtime, Chuckie wanted to tell Dil of Kaori's intentions, but he didn't want Charlie to see his parents arguing or Kaori leaving in front of both Dil and Charlie.
Chuckie regretted not telling Dil as only 2 days later, Kaori left Dil and Charlie behind and went back to Japan
End of Flashback
"Your mother cared more about Kousei and music than she did you, she abandoned you Charlie for the sake of returning to her old flame and her music career," said Angelica
Charlie froze for a bit, despite being able to reconcile with his mother, that revelation of which Kaori was willing to simply leave behind him and his father in favour of her music career as well as being with her old crush Kousei Arima (whom Charlie got along with) did hurt his heart a bit.
Charlie's mood soured slightly before saying in a serious tone "Angelica Finister, you are to obey my order of hit-and-run tactics and anything I suggest, any refusal of order will result in court martial and your immediate execution in accordance with Dilganese Military Law, is that understood"
"On who's authority" said Angelica cockily
"Mine, I am 3rd in command of the entire Dilganese Forces behind my father and stepmother Lil, I have authority to issue commands with the purpose of winning the war and preventing as many causalities as possible and I have given you orders for this mission" said Charlie in a very serious tone
Angelica backed down before Charlie turned off the comms between the two ships.
The two fleets who were cloaked descended into Klebian space which seemed lightly guarded as the SGDR space fleets were more focused in trying to drive off the Dilganese from Central Europe (Dil's Dimension and thus a majority of the space forces were New Titans with the SGDR Air Force still being stationed on Klebian IV and an small garrison.
Meanwhile
General Lori Loud of the Leni Forces as well as Captain Lugwig Aiza of the New Titans and General Veersholten of the SGDR had all gathered around at the Klebian Temple of Alien Worship (which had become an military command centre following the conquest) in preparation for any military defence.
"So after the SGDR withdrawal to focus on Central Europe, that leaves us with mostly Leni and Titans troops along with 95% of the SGDR Air Force, is that correct" said Lori
"It is correct, indeed" said General Veersholten
"What is going on, one minute we are an strong fighting force, the next minute we cannot figure out where to allocate troops to whom" said Lori
"We have 3 forces with differing agendas, one wants the total destruction of the Dilganese and Earth Rule, another wants to be Queen of whatever lands she can get her hands on and one who wants to bring back East Germany on an much larger scale, essentially it's going to be tough to unify our forces on an larger scale" said General Veersholten
"What do you feel like the next cause of action in terms of defences" said Lori
"We need to launch an counterattack against the Dilganese and Dango Forces from Klebian IV, I want revenge for the death of my mother and I feel taking down the Dilganese is the only way forward" said Lugwig
"Keep in mind we've already got dissent from the Klebian population, we need to consolidate our assets" said Lori
"We need to launch an full on offensive otherwise we are either going to be stranded or ambushed by the Dilganese Coalition Forces" said Lugwig
"Aiza, don't let your emotions dictate the battle plans, we need to ensure stability on this planet" said General Rommersfeld
"All the SGDR do is procrastinate and watch the Leni and Titans forces do all the work" said Lugwig
"We don't have nearly as much resources as both the Titans and Leni Forces" said General Veersholten
"Your lying, we all know the SGDR have more forces than they say they do" said Lugwig
"Guys, arguing is not getting us anywhere, we need to keep our fleets in a defensive formation and board our ships, I sense an attack may be likely" said Lori
"What makes you feel certain of an Dilganese counterattack" said General Veersholten
"This is one of the major Dilganese cultural centres of importance, there going to throw everything to try and get this system back" said Lori
"So we are waiting for the Dilganese to attack" said Lugwig
"Yes" said Lori
"Very well" said Lugwig sternly
Later on the LCS Santiago
General Lori Loud had command of various fleets that the Imperial Leni Navy (ILN) had to offer, the ILN had taken an massive hit in the past 2 months as their poorly trained crewmembers and outdated ships were proven to be no match for the Dilganese/Dango/Northern Japanese Navy's, The ILN's Earth divisions were being crippled to the point where they were only defending Loch Loud (after the Dilganese/British Navy flattened them following the SGDR focusing exclusively on Central Europe) and the Western parts of the Americas which was slowly being entrenched as they lacked supplies and fuel to assist the European forces. As for the ILN's space force, it was shattered to the point where they realistically had 3 fleets: Leni had her fleet, but she hadn't bothered to use the fleet to any meaningful degree, Lola's fleet was holding their own against Dilganese naval forces. As for Lori's other siblings, Luan and Lynn Jr were gone, Lisa had joined the Titans as an scientist, Lana was fighting for the Leni Ground Forces and Lucy, Luna and Lincoln had been rumoured to have defected to the Dilganese.
Lori looked at the ships of her fleet, they were an mixture of Magellan-class and Alexandria-class battleships which the New Titans didn't want anymore. Lori had a feeling that the Empire of Leni was just a useful puppet of the New Titans, only useful in weakening the Dilganese as the New Titans and their charismatic leader Takahiko Arima before they would eventually be annexed and forgotten.
Lori's ship was the feature of the fleet, the LCS Santiago, her boyfriend Bobby's ship the LCS Lady Lori was on her right flank, whlist Lugwigs Aiza's Arima-class ship 'The Saviour' was on her left flank.
"This is General Lori Loud of the LCS Santiago coming in, please respond other major command ships" said Lori
"This is Bobby babe, of the LCS Lady Lori coming in" said Bobby
"This is Captain Lugwig Aiza of the New Titans ship 'The Saviour', coming in" said Lugwig
"This is General Rommersfeld of the Hagel-class 'Luxemberg', coming in" said General Rommersfeld
Soon Lori heard cannon fire, she knew that the Dilganese might be cloaked as she couldn't see anything.
"Carol, what does the radar scans indicate" said Lori
"There is hostile ships, but we can't detect their precise location" said Carol
"Fire forward, hopefully we can hit the Dilganese with the volley of fire" said Lori
The fleet proceeded to fire forward at the Dilganese which caused them to decloak.
On board the ACS Kaori Miyazono
Charlie was angry at Angelica's actions throughout the battle
The ACS Cynthia jumped the gun and attacked the Leni/Titans fleet too early which caused the Dilganese to decloak and lose a number of ships which could of been avoided if they waited for the right moment to split the fleet.
"Charlie, Angelica's half of the fleet are charging at the enemy capital ship" said Ushio
"Give me a comms to Aunt Angelica, immediately" yelled Charlie
"No response" said Ushio
"Damn it, keep supporting fire, prepare my Mobile Suit, Ushio take command of the ship" said Charlie
Charlie rushed down to the hanger where his Blue and Gold SPT Gouf Space Type was prepared to be sortied and in which he entered the cockpit
"Hopefully the tide of battle can change, Charlie Miyazono Pickles, SPT Gouf Space Type, launching" Charlie said as his MS launched.
The battle was fairly even with a slight advantage going the Titans after they managed to figure out Angelica's poor tactics.
Soon the tide of battle would change however.
A MS began destroying Titans and Leni command ships with relative ease, the Titans tried to send MS to fight it, but they were destroyed by this Blue and Gold Gouf, General Rommerfeld's ship had been shot down.
On board of the LCS Santiago
Lori watched as one by one, her ships were being destroyed.
"Babe, my ship can't hold on much longer" said Bobby
"Keep holding on, boo boo bear" said Lori
Soon Lori saw the Gouf Space Type go on top of Bobby's ship and it fired on the bridge, destroying the LCS Lady Lori
"Bobby" screamed Lori as the Gouf approached her ship and aimed its gatling gun at Lori's ship.
However it didn't fire
"General, the Gouf has requested comms with our ship" said Carol
"On screen" said Lori
"This is Admiral Charlie Miyazono Pickles of the Dilganese Alien 3rd Fleet, I formally request your surrender, you and your crew will be spared" said Charlie
Lori looked conflicted, on one hand this MS had torn through her fleet and had destroyed her beloved Bobby Santiago and now was requesting her surrender, but on the other hand Lori knew her and Bobby were doomed to the New Titans mechanisations and scheming and thus being a POW away from the fighting was probably the best possible fate for Lori
"I accept your surrender, will my crew be spared" said Lori
"They will be spared, indeed" said Charlie
The ACS Kaori Miyazono approached the LCS Santiago and initiated docking
As the Docking procedure took place, Charlie spotted a another MS approaching him, A Tactical GM
"End of the line, Pickles" said Lugwig
However before Lugwig could hit the Gouf, it was shot down by the ACS Cynthia via one of the ships cannons.
Later
The crews of both the ACS Kaori Miyazono and Cynthia had met up in the bridge of the ACS Kaori Miyazono.
"Aunt Angelica, thanks for assisting me there" said Charlie
"No problem, but I don't know why you spared that command ship" said Angelica
"Tactical reasons, we need to gather more intelligence on Leni and New Titans forces and we have one of the more influential Leni generals as a POW" said Charlie
"It is smart move, considering we need all the help we can get" said Chuckie
"Even so, what the Leni and New Titans forces have done to us, I don't know if she should of been spared" said Angelica
Soon a SAB ship decloaked in front of them. Charlie knew who it was. It was Luther Sloane who was one of the SAB's most ruthless agents.
Soon Sloane had transported himself on the ship with what appeared to be a SWAT team with him
"Where is General Lori Loud" said Sloane
"She is on the brig of this ship, ready for extraction" said Charlie
"Team" said Sloane as he nodded his head as his soliders went to transport Lori
"What is the SAB doing here anyway" said Angelica
"Charlie told us that he had captured a major Leni General" said Sloane
"Extraction complete, we wait for you to beam up" said one of Sloane's soliders through a walkie talkie
"Very well, job complete" said Sloane as he beamed up
"He looks scary" said Chuckie
"He used to work for Section 31 of Starfleet Intelligence before joining the SAB" said Charlie
"How do you know we can trust him" said Angelica
"What choice do we have" said Charlie
Soon Ushio ran into the room in a jubilant mood
"Have you lot seen the news" said Ushio
"We haven't had the chance to" said Angelica
"Come see" said Ushio
The 4 of them entered the communal area of the ship where the crew appeared to be in an jubilant mood

"Good Evening Aliens, This is ATN, The Gleebar system has been taken by Admiral Tommy Pickles, the victory almost gives the Dilganese total autonomy in most areas of space as Titans forces and territory have been cut in half. In other news, a series of orbital bombardments from the ACS Phantom has helped push the Leni forces back past Colorado and Kansas and towards the crucial Leni territories. Also Klebian IV is finally back under Dilganese control"

His forces and territory had been split in half with the Dilganese in the middle.
He was in a meeting room with his highest ranking officers
"What has happened to our forces, why can't we advance any further" said Takahiko
"We have taken some severe losses in various space campaigns as well as the inefficiency of our ground forces" said Lytton
"The Leni Forces have proven to be useless and SGDR untrustworthy" said Ted Ayachi
"We need some drastic action" said Brian Aeno
"Drastic action, what do you have in mind" said Takahiko
"The Dilganese need Yucipica to function as an government, without it, they'll lose their leadership, facilities and legitimacy, we could win the war with one fell swoop" said Brian Aeno
"Wouldn't the Dilganese just rally around their space, Earth and planetary territories" said Lytton
"But without any legitimacy as Yucipica hosts some of the Dilganese top research and weapons facillties as well as their leadership, we can cut the head off the snake by destroying it" said Brian Aeno
"How, a planetary invasion would cost us valuable resources" said Ted Ayachi
"I'm suggesting we use a space weapon" said Brian Aeno
"We can't drop anything from space, we are not Zeon" said Takahiko
"Titans and ex-GDI scientists have come up with a new type of laser that can destroy a target from space" said Brian Aeno

1 week later in Dilganese held Missouri
Lieutenant James Pickles of the 17th Jefferson Division was being ordered to oversee an meeting by the Alien Diplomatic Corps, he didn't know much about the meeting, apart from his father telling him it could impact and help end the war.
He saw a ship that looked akin to a transport carrier which had landed near him, it had the hammer and zirkel symbol on it which was the sigil of the SGDR , he knew who it might be.
Out of the carrier came the Leader of the SGDR herself Lyssa Von Karn.
"Good evening Lyssa" said James
"Ah James, I see why the Dilganese sent you here" said Lyssa
"Great minds think alike" said James
"More like we are both related to the same tyrant" said Lyssa
"Are you referring to mom by any chance" said James
"Yeah I am" said Lyssa
"I did read some dimensional pads on what my mothers life was like in the UC during the current war to improve my MS skills, thats when I realised why she brought me up to make sure I always took the heroic path rather than the villians " said James
"How much dimensional pads have you read" said Lyssa
James sighed "I read them all, her early years, her years on Axis, the Gryps War, the First Neo-Zeon War and the ARI/Intergalactic Summit"

"She was a tyrannical dictator who did implement an colony drop, However her life in the UC was an sad one who was poorly treated on Axis and was an broken shell of her former self by the Gryps War" said James

"She used to tell me that she would have nightmares of her past dimension which is why she has occasional headaches and panic attacks" said James

Over an year before, Haman had been fired by the Intergalactic Research Organisation, it had been an long time coming, her restored contract was up and the higher-ups suspected she was giving company secrets to ARI (which wasn't true).
Making sure that James and her weren't made homeless, Haman took on two jobs, one working at the supermarket and the other working as an security guard at the mall.
Haman would work the 1st 4 days of the week at the supermarket and would work Friday and Saturday nights as a Mall Security Guard.
Whilst Haman was at work, James was either at school or being babysat by the neighbours whom Haman and James had got along with?
One Day around August
It was Sunday, the day that Haman had off work, James wanted to go to the park. After he woke up at 6am, he went downstairs to watch Sunday Morning Cartoons, the TV played the usual: HE-Man reruns, Galactik Football, Action Man and James's joint favourite show M.A.S.K Next Generation which was airing a 2 hour marathon.
After watching the M.A.S.K marathon, James went upstairs to wake his mom up so that she can make him breakfast.
"Mom, wake up, I want breakfast please" said James in an demanding tone
Haman managed to wake up, but she was very tired, she had only 5 hours sleep and had barley any sleep throughout the week
"James, I'm tired, I need more sleep" said Haman
"But it's breakfast time mom" said James
Haman slowly got up and went downstairs to the kitchen where she made James his breakfast before making herself some coffee and sitting down.
"Morning James" said Haman
"Good Mom, what shall we do today" said James excitingly
"I don't know James, I'm very tired and I feel slightly under the weather" said Haman as she yawned
"I hear there is a big sci-fi convention nearby and I was wondering if we can go" said James
"Maybe, depends on how I feel" said Haman
"Please" said James
"Ok then, what time does it start" said Haman
"11:30" said James
"I'll get changed" said Haman
Haman went upstairs to get changed whilst James watched more cartoons.
As she got upstairs, Haman went to the bathroom and looked into the mirror, she had dark bags under her eyes which stemmed from overwork as well as stress combined from lack of sleep and Newtype-induced PTSD.
After taking some antidepressants and an omega plus tablet, Haman proceeded to get dressed into a Black Nike T-shirt and pair of denim shorts with black leggings and a pair of Nike running trainers.
After getting changed, she proceeded to prepare James's clothes for the day, a M,A.S.K Next Generation T-shirt, a pair of shorts, white socks and a pair of white Velcro trainers as well as a pair of sunglasses which she placed in his room before she yelled for James to get changed.
As James went upstairs, Haman went downstairs and made herself a coffee, she has a very strong espresso that filled half of the flask (probably too strong for a normal person, but not for a tired Newtype) before James came running downstairs excited.
"Have you brushed your teeth" said Haman
"Yeah" said James
"Good, are you ready" said Haman
"Yeah" said James
"Lets go" said Haman as they both left the house
The two went for a walk to the convention, it wasn't far from where they lived as their house was two blocks down.
However as they got to where the convention was, the convention stands were being packed away, their was what could be seen to be an ambulance next to one of the food vendors.
One of the convention organisers came up to them.
"I'm so sorry, but the convention is closed, a few of the festival visitors got food poisoning" said the convention organiser
"Ok, looks like we are going back home James" said Haman as her and James walked in the other direction for a few paces before they stopped
"I'm sad that the convention was closed" said James as he looked down with an tear in his eye
"I know, but there's nothing I can do" said Haman
Haman went into deep thought, she didn't want James to be sad as a result of the conventions cancellation which he seemed to be really looking forward to it. After some thinking she had a answer.
"James, wanna go to the video store" said Haman
"Yeah" said James
Both of them walked to the video store which was located a few blocks from where the convention was going to be and as they walked in, the store was quiet which meant their were loads of DVD's of various Sci-Fi series's.
As Haman wasn't as familiar with Sci-Fi as James was (her preference was Drama's), she asked the staff member working on the counter for some advice.
"Do you any have Sci-Fi series to recommend" said Haman
"What sort of Sci-Fi are you looking for" said The shop clerk
"Anything that my Sci-Fi obsessed son would like" said Haman
"I have something that your son might like" said The shop clerk
He pulled two DVD box sets as well as an keyring
"This is Star Trek The Original Series and Star Trek the Next Generation as well as an free Star Trek toy comms badge" said The shop clrek
"How much is it" said Haman
"$13, but it is well worth the price considering how much of an masterpiece Star Trek is" said The shop clerk
"I guess if it makes James happy then I am willing to pay for it" said Haman as she handed over the money to pay for the boxsets
Afterwards Haman and James leave the store.
They walk for a bit before arriving at their house.
Haman puts the bag of DVD's on the dining room table.
"James, I got a present for you" said Haman
James came rushing over as Haman hands him the DVD boxsets.
"Apparently this is what the video store recommended, its called Star Trek, want to watch it in the living room" said Haman
"Yeah" said James excitingly as he ran to in front of the sofa
Haman put the DVD in the DVD player and sat on the sofa
Haman was however very tired as the caffeine had worn out and after 2 episodes, she fell asleep, as for James he watched every episode on the box set

James dug into his pocket and pulled out the old Star Trek toy comms badge

13th May 1981
Today was a big day for Lyssa's adopted family, it was the day of the 1981 European Cup Winners Cup Final
The Von Leizshan family were massive Carl Zeiss Jena fans and their team had reached their first European final in their history and they had the whole family round to watch the game.
The period between 1979-1981 had been an good one for the Von Leizshan family, Lyssa's adopted father Hans had recieved an promotion in the Volksmarine and was now a decorated officer, Lyssa's adopted mother Leina had been given an medal for her hard work as an Electrical Engineer and her adopted elder brother Lassel had just recieved an promotion to a high rank in the Grenztruppen.
As for Lyssa herself, she elected to join the NVA and in the Landstreitkrafte which was the East German Ground Forces and had graduated from basic training in 1979 and had received an promotion as an officer between 1980-81 for complementary service.
Now on leave for the meantime, she was sent back to her familes house for a month before being re-deployed.
As she entered the house, she saw her adopted father on top of an ladder which he was decorating the house in white and yellow bunting as well as Carl Zeiss Jena pennants.
"I see you got the house well decorated, father" said Lyssa
"Its an exciting occasion Lyssa, considering we lost the league to FC Berliner Dynamo and this is our first chance of European silverware, I am excited" said Hans
"I am excited too, wheres Lassel and Mother" said Lyssa
"Lassel is on his way here and Leina is in the office, she's still got some projects to work on though, so she might be busy" said Hans
Leina was by far the hardest working of the family, her electrical engineering job was more demanding and the lack of active conflicts the DDR had been involved in had meant that many of the DDR's military bided them time doing military drills, parades and the occasional delivery of various military equipment to various communist states or revolutions. There had also been rumours of some disgruntled DDR officers joining the Soviets, hoping for better pay, food and more action.
"I will go say Hi to her" said Lyssa
Lyssa went from the living room to the office where Leina was, working on some project
"Hello mother" said Lyssa surprising Leina who was concentrating on some machinery
"Hello Lyssa, I see your here for the final" said Leina
"Yeah, what are you working on" said Lyssa
"Its called an microcomputer, the East has just discovered these and they want us engineers to make them for the government and population" said Leina
"Looks advanced" said Lyssa
"It is, the West seem to have start making advanced versions of these which is why us engineers in the East are trying to keep up" said Leina
Soon Lyssa could hear the front door open, Lassel had entered the house.
"Hello Lassel, how are you" said Lyssa
"Lyssa, good to see you, hows the Land Forces" said Lassel
"Its been good, I am now an esteemed officer" said Lyssa
"I've heard, congratulations" said Lassel
"Thanks, hows the Grenztruppen" said Lyssa
"Patrolling the Berlin Wall has been okay, I need to tell you something" said Lassel
"What is that" said Lyssa
"I am transferring to the Soviet forces" said Lassel
"Why would you do that, Grenztruppen is an high honour" said Lyssa
"Because its boring and doesn't pay as well as the Soviet Ground Forces who are offering soliders of the Warsaw Pact to join them for better pay" said Lassel
"Are you sure you want to do that" said Lyssa
"I am sure of it" said Lassel
"Just don't tell father or he might be disappointed in you" said Lyssa
"Yeah I know, he wants our family to serve the DDR state with honour, especially considering who Grandpa fought for" said Lassel
Hans's father Kruger fought for the Wehrmacht during WW2 in the Eastern Front and later the Battle of Berlin, he survived the war, but he spent years in an Soviet POW camp and was only released in the mid 1950s. However as Kruger was barely in Hans's life due to both the war and being an POW, Hans was quite distant from him, which became even more distant as Hans and his family became communists.
"Yeah, just be careful though" said Lyssa
"Thanks Lyssa, do you know where father is" said Lassel
"He is currently putting up bunting and pennants for the final" said Lyssa
"I'll go say hello to him" said Lassel
"Hello Father" said Lassel
"Lassel, good to see you, i'm done with the decorations, what do you think" said Hans
"They look amazing father, what time is the game" said Lassel
"Its in 30 minutes, its supposed to be quite a hard game though, Dyanmo Tbillisi are a very good team" said Hans
"But they had an easier time getting there than we did, we had to face Roma and Benfica" said Lassel
"But both teams have played weak opponents, we had go through Newport County as well as Dynamo playing Waterford" said Hans
"Even so, we can finally win an European trophy and stick it up to both Magdenburg and those Western Bayern Munich" said Lassel
Later
Lyssa, Hans, Lassel and Leina sat in front of the TV to watch the game, all of them appeared excited for it to start.
After a scoreless first half, Jena scored in the 63rd minute and for 4 fleeting minutes, the mood in the house was bright and cheerful before Dynamo scored in the 67th minute and 86th to win the game 2-1.

"That was the last major moment we all had before Lassel died in the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan, after he died, I came into possession his Soviet Medal that he earned during the war" said Lyssa as she pulled a medal out of her pocket
"Looks like we keep mementos of happier times" said James
"Well you've got to keep hold of memories of better times, its keeps a person sane in times of strife" said Lyssa
"Shall we sign the agreement" said James
"Yeah, the SGDR want to keep our holdings in central Europe as well as to keep our current military numbers intact" said Lyssa
"Agreed if you pull troops out of Japan and join the war against the New Titans and Empire of Leni as well as pay war reparations to the Dango Republic" said James
"We agree to your terms, but we need to keep this agreement secret to ambush the Titans" said Lyssa
Unbeknownst to them, one of the SGDR troops was an DSI agent.
Hours Later - in the Presidential Office of the Dango Republic
Tomoya Okazaki had been President of the Dango Republic now since the end of the Battle of Hikarizaka 3 months ago, his presidency had seen the small state in an constant state of war with New Titans or SGDR forces constantly invading parts of the Dango Republic. The Northern Japanese had helped them militarily a few times, but the Fox and Dango cultures clashed and there had been brewing religious tensions between the two states. As for the Dilganese Empire, they had sent military and medical aid to the Dango's, but were busy in other conflicts to truly help the Dango cause.
"Mr President, one of our intelligence agents has reported something" said Mei
"Firstly its Tomoya and secondly what is the news" said Tomoya
"The SGDR has signed an peace treaty with the Dilganese Empire" said Mei
"Wait what, where did you hear this" said Tomoya annoyed
Mei gives Tomoya the intelligence reports.
"This means the SGDR are pulling out of invading us, but still doesn't forgive their actions, where's Nagisa" said Tomoya
"She and Ryou are on the frontlines, the Dango Medical Corps need every medic they can" said Mei
"I miss her, give me contact to the Northern Japanese Prime Minister" said Tomoya
"Very well" said Mei as an screen came down and Yuichi appeared on screen
"Hello Tomoya, what do you want" said Yuichi
"We have intelligence reports that state that the SGDR and the Dilganese Empire have signed peace terms" said Tomoya
"What sort of intelligence do you have" said Yuichi
"We have reports from one of our spies in the SGDR that Supreme Leader Lyssa Von Karn met and agreed peace terms with James Pickles of the Dilganese 17th Jefferson Division" said Tomoya
"Do you think they will be binding peace terms" said Yuichi
"Lets hope so, I think the Dilganese are serious about the peace if their sending Haman's son to negotiate it considering the circumstances" said Tomoya
"How does the peace affect us, the SGDR are still giving us and you an hard time" said Yuichi
"Apparently there to pull out of Japan all together" said Tomoya
