Both of them quickly went to their home and got their school kit. They returned to the training ground within 10 minutes.
"We should be going, only a few minutes are left until the test starts" said Sasuke
"Yea yea" replied a bored Naruto
"we should also apply seals around the village so we can track how far we are from the village and we can use it to move around village through teleportation jutsu whenever we want to." Said Sasuke
Since they found it hard to teleport with just rinnegan, they are using seals for temporary teleportation. They would require a few more months of training for teleportation. note that this isn't Hiraishin, Naruto and Sasuke have only been taught basics of fuinjutsu since they had more time and no restrictions to learn it when they are in the village, they would probably be seen as prodigies in the art whilst if they practice jutsus, there would be many questions rising up. The only complicated seal they know is the one they were speaking on which was taught by the sage of the six paths. Naruto and Sasuke were both making their to the academy. They both reached there very quickly. It was about thirty minutes before the class started. They just sat together in the left most corner in the class to avoid getting any attention whenever they speak to eachother.
"Hmm, we are very early to class, not even the teachers' are here" Naruto said chuckling
"All we can do is wait for now"
Very slowly everyone started to come to class. First was Kiba Inazuka, whose clan compound is the closest to the academy. Then later Ino and Sakura came in rushing shouting they were first. After them, Shino came in and sat next to Naruto. After him Menma and Mito came in the class, and with them half of the class just followed behind them.
The test was about to start in five minutes. Naruto and Sasuke just unpacked their pencils and were ready to write the test.
Mizuki and Iruka started to pass the answer sheets and question papers to every student.
Naruto and Sasuke just started to ace through the test. The test only consisted of the basics of chakra theory, history and a bit of basic maths required for precise trap making. Most of these questions were all in their book except the math questions, they had already had used their sharingan to memorise the portions for the test. Iruka and Mizuki observed them both but didn't find anything unusual except the fact that they got all the questions right and that too at an astonishing speed. Naruto and Sasuke completed the test about a minute before Sayori since they didn't want to be under suspicion. Right after they completed, Mito had completed the test. Menma was finding the test a bit hard since he didn't like studying much and he hated sitting in one place and doing the same thing over and over again. Menma was more like his mother and Mito more liker her father. Shino, Sakura, Ino and Hinata had completed the test around the same time. Menma finally completed the test a few minutes later. But the others took much more time whilst Shikamaru didn't even bother writing the test since it was too troublesome.
And the test was over just like that. Others felt as if the test lasted only a few minutes whilst for some it felt like years. But the test was just for 3 hours.
"All right! The test is over, now keep you papers on your table and leave. We will be collecting them now!" Said Iruka
"Everyone can leave now! Tomorrow you all will be tested on your weapons' accuracy and the basic academy 3 jutsu and one of the D rank jutsu or higher of your picking, prepare well since these will be included in your internals!" Said Mizuki
A few of he students still continued to write the test even though the teachers told them to leave. The teachers forcefully pried the students off of the paper which they were holding as if it was their lifeline.
"well, what jutsu should we show to the teachers? We should atleast use a C-rank jutsu, I would use a water jutsu. What about you?" Asked a curious Naruto
"I will use a lightning style jutsu" answered Sasuke
"Now, let's place our seals around the place. I say we need a few in the academy, a few around the shops..." Continued Naruto as they just walked to their training ground
In the Academy
"Wow, Naruto and Sasuke both got a perfect score! This time around 5 students got a full grade!" Exclaimed Mizuki
"Hmm, but I feel like they might have cheated" replied Iruka.
"AH, don't worry, if they cheated, they were good enough to evade our senses and didn't get caught. Give them some credit Iruka, either way, they have good skills" Said Mizuki.
*from the corridor*
"I heard there is going to be a meeting tonight at the Hokage mansion. This might be about the next genin team selection" one random person said
'OH! this is the perfect chance to get some information from the Hokage tower. I might be able to get some information on anbu patrol duties for lord Orochimaru' Thought Mizuki with glee
It was already October 12th,
"We should get full grade this time around. But we shouldn't be showing of fancy tricks because this will garner us suspicion. No one will be suspicious of us since your brother and some anbu have been spying on us training. This will just show them the result of our training." Said Naruto while on the way to the academy
"Sure, I plan on using a weaker version of lightning fang jutsu, this is so I can impress them, but not too much" replied Sasuke.
They quickly got to the academy. It was already 9 AM, they were just waiting for their academy instructors to take them to the training grounds they were going to be tested in. There were in total around 10 classes taking the test, but to ease it on the instructors, 5 classes did the physical test on 11th October and the written test on the 12th. Each class also had different training grounds, their training ground was the closest among the others, just about 500m away from the academy building.
Iruka came in class asking them to follow him to their assigned training grounds. A few were confused by the missing Mizuki, but they just shrugged it off thinking he was just sick. But only 2 of the students know what happened to him. Mizuki was killed by the anbu who were patrolling the hokage tower. The Anbu head decided to change the schedule a bit by adding a few new anbu recruits to be guarding the towers secret. The misfortunate Mizuki was the one to face the consequences for it.
A retired jonin came to help temporarily fill out the empty academy teaching spot until a suitable teacher is found.
The jonin took care of the jutsu portion of the test where the first 20 students followed him, while the rest 20 went with Iruka for the accuracy test.
Sasuke got a full grade while doing what he would do during the test to Naruto. Sayori just smirked at Sasuke and muttered 'looser'.
Sayori used her sharingan to do a flashy technique with kunai and shuriken to impress the instructor. Iruka gave her a full grade since he was impressed with her skills.
"I CAN DO IT BETTER THAN YOU!" Shouted Menma
Menma did get a full grade, but it was not as great as Sayori's was.
"Hmm, looser" Said Sayori
Menma just huffed with an angry expression
Mito did the same as Menma since her expertise didn't lie with shuriken and kunai
Naruto did the same as Sasuke.
Like this, forty five minutes went by quickly.
During the jutsu portion of the test, Naruto showed the drilling water bullet jutsu whilst Sasuke used the lightning fang jutsu.
Menma and Mito showed of the Rasengan which they just learned a couple of months ago.
Sayori showed off an A rank as well, it was called the fire dragon bullet. The fire version of the water dragon bullet jutsu.
Now, for the next ninety minutes, there will be the taijutsu portion.
They had to last about 2 minutes against their instructors for a full grade.
Menma got 5 minutes and 3 seconds before he was kicked out of the ring, Mito got second with 4 minutes and 44 seconds, Sayori got 4 minutes and 5 seconds, Naruto got 4 minutes and 2 seconds and so did Sasuke, Kiba got 3 minutes and 20 seconds. This shows the clear line which the Hokage's and Uchiha's have between the other clan and non-clan children.
Sayori was a bit shocked. She couldn't believe her brother was just 3 seconds from having a tie with her. None the less, only 7 of the 40 students got the full grade in the test.
After totalling the scores, Iruka got the results as, Sayori, Sasuke, Mito, Naruto, and Shino were all tied for the first place with Menma second place, only a few points away from reaching the spot due to him not getting full grade on his written test. He was a bit shocked to see that Naruto and Sasuke, who were usually competing eachother for the 4th or 5th place got 1st place in this test.
